  Well, I had no like I didn't see anybody's so I was like let's

  remodel exactly that or what not.

  But I just knew it needed to be versatile and I wanted three
• 1:18
  different walls to be able to film from with such a small
• 1:21
  space. So and I knew that black, even
• 1:25
  though I know you didn't quite like the idea, was the way to go
• 1:29
  as far as keeping brightness down in the room.
• 1:31
  Even right now, just like looking at the two different
• 1:33
  cameras, this one looks great. This one, this light needs to be
• 1:36
  adjusted. It's too bright.
• 1:39
  Tempted to literally pause, crack the window open and shut
• 1:42
  that light off. But so Whiting still in my
• 1:47
  question box up here, but I just wanted to be able to 1, you
• 1:51
  know, put stuff up from the sponsors, IE, you know, Victory
• 1:54
  Badlands sent a sign and put some color in the room.

  It was so blur before with all the white white, you know, but I
• 2:05
  think this wall was green and black and that was it and
• 2:08
  everything else on both sides, which this wasn't really in the
• 2:10
  clip the majority of the time. So just white on white.

  So I wanted to create some color in the the room and more so, you
• 2:20
  know, again, most people listen to podcasts on Spotify, like
• 2:24
  they're probably listening right now and Apple or whatever.

  But we don't just use this room for potting.
• 2:32
  So it's how can we make it versatile for filming shorts and
• 2:36
  things like that. And now we have, you know,
• 2:38
  whether it's a corner you film from or three different style
• 2:41
  walls to film from. And then the layout needed to
• 2:45
  change because some most of the time it's just you and I, but if
• 2:50
  other people come over, it was being able to move things around
• 2:55
  while still not having like the bulky couch in here that didn't
• 2:59
  allow for filming against these walls.

  And so I think that's really what I wanted to achieve, which
• 3:07
  I think we did because now like, we're filming from these angles.

  But again, you can throw the chair over here and film on the
• 3:13
  other side of me or same thing over there like we're doing now.

  If we ever wanted to throw a table in, like you can perfectly
• 3:21
  put one right here or right here.
• 3:25
  And then if we want to with two separate, you know, additional
• 3:28
  guests, you put them in all four corners and you have room.

  So I think it turned out well and inspiration just keep it it
• 3:38
  dark but colorful and how to achieve that.

  And the last step to that is just finding the proper overhead
• 3:44
  lighting. Yeah, I mean, I, I think we'll
• 3:47
  get better. It drowns at the white light,
• 3:50
  drowns out the neon. I think the neon offers, you
• 3:54
  know, color and variety to the film clips.

  Yeah, I mean, we'll we'll improve with the lighting, but I
• 4:00
  think the big thing that I noticed in your spiel right
• 4:03
  there was the flexibility of the space was important.

  Versatility of the space was important because this room does
• 4:13
  a lot, I mean, you know, it, it's obviously a podcast studio,
• 4:19
  but it's also where I do my video editing.

  It's also where the merch get shipped out of.

  It's the lot happens in this room, you know what I mean?

  So to have it do more than one thing is really nice And and I

  think the sponsors, I mean, I think this both the signs look

  On another note, you got the you got this video played in the

  background and it's me doing 50 arrows at 100 yards at a 12 inch

  paper plate. Very good challenge.

  I really like this video. It's rare for us, but it was

  half filmed over the shoulder with the camcorder for the arrow

  flight and then the other half was filmed on the DSLR.

  cut like me shooting and then the overhead of the arrow

  It was blown out. No, I did not actually edit any

  of the colors in the DSLR footage.

  However, I did in the camcorder footage, so you'll notice that

  like here when I shoot this arrow, some of my left a little

  longer just for this. There you can see the colors a

  If you're not shooting a fast enough bow, it doesn't.

  Like, you could be as accurate as you want at 100 yards, but

  environmentals are going to take effect when your bow is slower.

  It just is what it is. So because we noticed like at

  the way as the morning picks up here, always in San Diego, the

  winds at, you know, start to pick up, especially at Morley.

  And it did start to get a little worse and worse as the the
• 8:16
  morning went on. You definitely cannot film this,
• 8:19
  this, what do you call it, Challenge, middle of the day or
• 8:24
  afternoon there. No, it's to be honest, we
• 8:28
  should. I think we started filming that
• 8:30
  like maybe 8738. We should have started at like
• 8:33
  6, like 630. Yeah, because it was windier in
• 8:37
  the back half, but not enough. I mean, really, what Rob does
• 8:42
  have a couple was just the beginning, just chasing the left
• 8:45
  and right a little bit. But after that, the proven's
• 8:48
  just so good to shoot. I mean, today we're going to
• 8:52
  break down kind of our bow setups a little bit.
• 8:55
  And obviously the first and foremost the bow I'm shooting,
• 8:58
  the Proven 34 is so good. I think it's the best bow I've
• 9:02
  shot maybe accuracy wise, maybe ever.

  But just overall, it's the best bow I've shot in a long time
• 9:10
  because, and we'll talk about your virtue as well here in a
• 9:14
  bit, but the Proven is a trip because like the last bow I shot
• 9:19
  the core Sr. I like the core Sr. a lot, you
• 9:22
  know, but that bow, like let's say I made a bad shot.

  I could feel that it was a bad shot.

  Yeah, that arrow would almost certainly be a 5, you know what
• 9:36
  I'm saying? At A at a 3D shoot or miss that
• 9:39
  plate, you know, with the proven, I can make a shot of my
• 9:43
  oof, that wasn't a good shot. And it might be it might be a
• 9:46
  liner. It might be a liner 10 or an 8
• 9:50
  at the worst than 8. You know what it just doesn't
• 9:52
  miss nearly as much and that is so nice.

  Now is it as fast as the core Sr. was?

  No, definitely not. I mean it's a bit slower but bro

  I've realized that I would so much rather suit shoot something
• 10:09
  20 feet a second slower that is way easier to shoot, no doubt
• 10:15
  about it. Especially for a hunting rig,
• 10:17
  like overall the like it is a hunting bow, it is not a target
• 10:23
  bow. So it's like why?

  Why are we all chasing? And I know I've chased it for a
• 10:29
  long time, chase a lot of different things with setups,
• 10:35
  but everyone's always chasing trying to hit that 300 mark,
• 10:38
  that 300 and something FPS like trying to get it as fast as
• 10:42
  humanly possible. And like when you're out there
• 10:45
  on the tip of a mountain Ridge and the wind switching and
• 10:48
  gusting and you know, brush keeps blowing back and forth in
• 10:52
  your sight picture and you're trying to hold the bow stable.
• 10:56
  Like, I want as little things to affect my arrow flight as
• 11:02
  possible. And if that bow is a twitchy
• 11:06
  super speed bow, one gust to win when you let off.
• 11:10
  And that you could go from shooting the vitals to shooting
• 11:14
  the intestines so fast. And so I just, I would, if
• 11:21
  you're a dude pulling 70 lbs, like stop trying to chase 300.
• 11:26
  Well, you know, it's interesting, like I'm curious
• 11:31
  what bow techs going to do this year with their lineup.

  I don't even I don't know, I don't know what they're going to
• 11:36
  do and it's kind of exciting to not know like it last year I
• 11:38
  knew early what the bow was and this year I have no idea.

  And I kind of prefer it that way.

  I realize it's kind of fun to like, I don't know.

  My guess would be the proven stays in the lineup.

  I think it's too good not to. Then I might just shoot the same

  one all next year, like I really might.

  It's so good, but PSE right dropped this bow called the

  sicario sicario, I want to say and it's it's really fast,

  right, really fast. I think in Josh video it did

  351, which is great Zeus. Now I shot the bow right.

  I shot it at the bow shop. It's 33 inch carbon and the

  draw. I thought it would feel terrible

  really doesn't draws pretty nice.

  But the brace height is 5 1/2 inches.

  So when you when I put the arrow in it to shoot it, the veins
• 12:34
  were in the whisker biscuit because it's so short.

  That's how they're getting so much speed.

  You imagine, and I'm not no shade on PSC.

  They they, they make great bows but bruh that has to be so
• 12:49
  unforgiving. Yep.

  Like if you if you make a bad if you make a bad shot with a 5 1/2

  inch brace height that shit is going to miss by so far.

  Whereas the proven that I'm shooting has almost a 7 inch

  brace height. I think it's like 6 and 5/8.

  Or something. Yeah, I wish even the Virtues

  was just a. Yeah, I think the virtues maybe

  6/6. And 1/4.

  Yeah, But yeah, 5 1/2 is crazy. But to their credit, I mean it

  really didn't draw bad, which usually fast bows do.

  But I think that having that short of a brace is how they
• 13:25
  were able to make a draw not awful and have the speed there
• 13:30
  because that arrows on the string for so long.

  But anyway, so I guess should we run through my bow 1st and then
• 13:38
  three years or how do you? Sure.

  I mean I think we're running like as far as components go,
• 13:44
  very some of our components are the same.

  So we could just go with that like the stabilizer now.

  We have two different stabilizers running now though I
• 13:54
  have the Mach 7 since they're two point O.

  The only thing that really switched was the the way you
• 14:00
  tighten it down that piece. The AFP are completely
• 14:05
  different. Yeah, yeah.

  So, yeah, I'm running Mule stabilizer as you guys have seen
• 14:11
  on our rigs for a long time. But I have the brand new version
• 14:14
  that there's not too many out in the wild yet, but it is really
• 14:20
  cool. I'm going to show it to you all
• 14:22
  who are walking. Glad you're about to knock that
• 14:25
  drink. Oh, dude.

  So as you can see, it sort of has it's it's unique looking,
• 14:33
  it's got sort of a bracket and this bracket can actually go up
• 14:36
  or down. So it has like a screw and then
• 14:41
  like a channel that you can move it up or down.
• 14:44
  And the reason why as aluminum bows always have these holes
• 14:48
  through the riser to reduce weight.
• 14:50
  And as you guys can see here, it's actually inside of my bow.
• 14:56
  So right now it's probably sitting about 8 inches ish but
• 15:02
  what I can. Probably more like 10 when you
• 15:04
  go from bow riser to the end. But I can actually extend it if
• 15:12
  I want and run it out here, which is 12 inches.

  So I can go from 12 down to, you know, 8:00 to 10:00 somewhere in
• 15:21
  that range or just pull it all the way out.

  And the cool part about this AFPR is not only the the length
• 15:29
  adjustment, but it's much lighter than the Mach 7.

  I think the whole thing is like 5, maybe 6 oz.

  So it's significantly lighter. You can add weight to the front
• 15:42
  if you would like. And it has a Picatinny,
• 15:45
  Picatinny rail if you want to mount a GoPro or a camera or
• 15:49
  something like that. So pretty neat.

  I just started running it, but it's interesting because when we
• 15:54
  filmed that video shooting the plate challenge, I shot my warm
• 15:58
  up shots at 8 in eight or nine inches.

  And then when we started, I moved it all the way out and you
• 16:04
  could definitely tell a difference on on that pin
• 16:06
  movement. It was slower.
• 16:09
  So pretty cool to have that adjustment right there on the
• 16:11
  bow. I I like that a lot.

  And then other than that, I'm running the ACU SOS, which I is
• 16:20
  actually, I'm kind of mind blown how much it works, especially
• 16:25
  after we did that video with. That another one we said we
• 16:28
  would go back and revisit and we do need to there's some videos
• 16:31
  there that need to be made getting into some more breakdown
• 16:38
  details of that that ACU SOS. I also have one on.

  Obviously I face mine the normal direction, but so much to play

  with as far as you know, tilting it to really determine what
• 16:58
  completely gets rid of your your pin movement the most I like I
• 17:05
  said, we end up back in that video.

  I guessed what I thought mine was.

  It was the opposite according to the Mantis, and I need a little

  bit of both to really relieve pin movement like the up and
• 17:16
  down versus left and right in the way that you face the SOS.

  Yeah, I mean, yesterday I adjusted it a little.

  We're at that 3D shoot and there was a few targets where it just

  like my, it felt a little wonky. So I just rotated it about 1/4

  turn and it was like a lot, a lot better.

  I think they're awesome, so. I mean, the Mantis proved it.

  Like, I know, I know a lot of it's just like the the

  stabilizer, like a lot of people may be like, oh, that's

  gimmicky, you know, and it's like.

  That's what I thought, but you wouldn't see the data.

  It's like. Proves itself, yeah, that it

  works. And when you hold a a stabilizer

  and you actually put in your arm and you realize you can like
• 18:03
  swing your bow back and forth with one finger because all that
• 18:06
  weight is pushing here, sure like it again, if you want to
• 18:10
  run a target like rig set up on a hunting bow for 3D shoots, you
• 18:16
  know, put your 25 inch stabilizer with 300 back bars on
• 18:22
  there or whatever. But for a hunting rig, which is
• 18:26
  what I want my setup to be, and I think a lot of West West Coast
• 18:31
  Hunter's wood is a did you turn it down?

  If you go out one day hunting spot and stock glassing hiking

  and you got to carry that bow around, you will quickly realize

  how beneficial the Mach sevens or AFP Rs, whatever 1 you get

  is. It's just the amount of weight

  you reduce and holding and then you realize all of a sudden you
• 19:17
  need to draw your bow and whatnot and your arm is tired

  from hiking your bow around all day.

  And sure, you could get away with putting your bow over your
• 19:24
  shoulders like we used to do, or you know, putting it in a sling
• 19:29
  but or clipping it to your backpack.

  But what if you stumble across the deer sooner than you

  thought? Or another one and that bows

  clip to the back of your backpack or it's in a sling.

  Yeah, I. Know I've never have been a fan

  of have I've never in my life. I've never in my whole life

  carried a bow in my backpack because I've had it many times
• 19:54
  in my hunting career where you stumble upon something and you
• 19:57
  better have that bow. So you got to always have a

  range Finder on and always have your bow and your release on.

  Or else you get caught with your pants down.

  Mine of course, has been broken since Tennessee Tack but.

  It's not broken, it's just the cage broken, so I don't really

  care. So anyway, I got that ripcord

  ratchet. It's been extraordinarily

  durable. I would have loved for my cage

  to have been broken in in the hunt this summer where I started
• 21:34
  cutting my finger in half with my broad head to try to get it
• 21:37
  back on the ramp. That was insane.

  That was. I don't even think your cage is

  broken low enough for me to have gotten around it, but that was

  funny. Oh yeah, but a very durable

  rest. I've had absolutely 0 issues

  with it and it's been through the wringer.

  Like my my that's the thing, I am a good product tester so I'm

  very rough on stuff and I shoot a ton.

  I like the nose button. I feel like it gets you to your

  anchor a little bit quicker. And I think anytime you can

  shorten reduce the amount of time it takes you to execute

  your shot process, I think is good for your shooting.

  for the the rest of us average folk, it gets you there.

  I would say a lot of it quicker. Again, like it's not a a selling

  a product because I'm not good enough to like just put any

  shiny. I found a setup that works

  really well. And I'll say for the average

  Jack or Jill, I get to my anchor point a lot faster by having the

  nose button. And you can dole it if you want

  with, you know, a lighter if you don't like it, I find my nose is
