- 1:04Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 119.
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: You hear that?
- 1:11Sean McAllister: The rave in the desert has returned as EDC weekend takes full effect.
- 1:16Sean McAllister: Hear how Las Vegas is embracing the dance festival like never before.
- 1:21Dayna Roselli: And when a new Italian restaurant opens, we take it very seriously.
- 1:26Dayna Roselli: We are with Bill and Juliana Randzick, the celebrity owners of RPM Italian.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Las Vegas has been years of the making for us in terms of getting an RPM here.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: We opened the first RPM Italian in Chicago 10 years ago.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: And when we realized it was a success, we started thinking about what other cities would we like to expand into.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: And Vegas was always at the top of our list.
- 1:47Sean McAllister: Plus, Jazz Grand Illusion and Vegas' best burgers.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: Let's get to it and spin that wheel.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 119.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli here with Sean McAllister.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: And Sean, it's that time of the year where we talk about EDC, the electric daisy carnival, and how we don't go, we aren't into it, but we absolutely love that so many people come to town and do go and love it.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: Like, love, love it.
- 2:24Sean McAllister: Well, listen, I mean it's good people watching, that's for sure.
- 2:26Sean McAllister: There's fuzzy boots, there's tutos, there's not really a lot of clothing going on, which, you know, when it's you know a hundred degrees outside, you don't need a lot of clothing.
- 2:36Sean McAllister: But uh yeah, EDC brings in uh just about 300,000 people over three nights over at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, is where they have this.
- 2:47Sean McAllister: There's all these different stages where DJs from around the world come here and perform EDM, electronic dance music.
- 2:58Sean McAllister: Um, and people love it.
- 2:59Sean McAllister: There's vendors out there, there's all these art activations, there's places just to chill out and relax out there.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: Like a Ferris wheel too and stuff, right?
- 3:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, there's like rides, attractions.
- 3:11Sean McAllister: It's it's a big deal.
- 3:12Sean McAllister: Right.
- 3:13Sean McAllister: The city of Las Vegas has really done some things to welcome them in, especially when it comes to marriages.
- 3:21Sean McAllister: They're really promoting and getting behind uh marriages for uh ADC visitors.
- 3:27Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 3:27Sean McAllister: The marriage license bureau has gone so far as to uh turn their office kind of into a a party environment.
- 3:35Sean McAllister: They have live music out there, they have a whole bunch of decoration set up, and for ADC visitors who decide to tie the knot, they're even giving out uh custom commemorative marriage licenses with c EDC artwork on them.
- 3:53Sean McAllister: So I mean they're kind of going all in on this.
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, we always like we love a good theme, right?
- 3:58Dayna Roselli: So I mean, why not?
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: I literally think that like we should get the award for like biggest bounce back when it comes to Las Vegas because we just are like literally just back to how we used to operate times 10, which we keep talking about, but it's like everything that comes into town, I mean, there has not been a week that has gone by where you and I haven't been talking about some huge, you know, event or celebration or whatever sporting event, concert, you know, festival in town.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: It's crazy.
- 4:29Sean McAllister: Well, and we just had the Lovers and Friends Festival, which was a couple days over at the festival grounds.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I was across the street, it was packed.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: I'm talking from midday, and it was warm out last weekend and didn't seem like anyone cared.
- 4:45Dayna Roselli: I mean, it was just a sea of people.
- 4:48Dayna Roselli: Posted a picture on Twitter and everyone was like, holy cow! And I was like, Yeah, I mean, you know, and that was a huge lineup.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: All sorts of artists, great artists, you know, all I could go on and on, man.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: Nelly and hip hop, yeah.
- 5:00Dayna Roselli: RB and hip hop, Nelly, Usher, all of them.
- 5:02Dayna Roselli: Um, so Akon, I think, was there.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: So yeah, it was a huge turnout and it seemed successful.
- 5:07Dayna Roselli: They had a little hiccup where they had to stop things for a little bit because there was reports of something suspicious, but police came in and cleared that, and then they got things up and running again.
- 5:16Dayna Roselli: But they were going till well after midnight.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: Both nights, yeah.
- 5:20Sean McAllister: So you had built-in entertainment just on your balcony.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: I had built-in vibration.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: I don't know if it was exactly entertaining.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: Sometimes you can't really hear the actual words.
- 5:30SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: You just feel the boom voom, and you hear the crowd and then an occasional firework.
- 5:38SPEAKER_04: But it was good.
- 5:39Dayna Roselli: But yeah, EDC weekend is huge.
- 5:41Dayna Roselli: Welcome everyone in town for EDC.
- 5:43Dayna Roselli: We love that it's at the speedway.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: It's become such a great place for that festival, spread out, away from all the hubbub.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: I know the Uber drivers drivers love it because they get to drive everyone up there.
- 5:55Dayna Roselli: Some love it, some hate it.
- 5:57Dayna Roselli: But um, you know, for the most part, you know what you're getting into if you if you turn on your because you you get to choose if you want to drive, you know.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: You can activate your Uber driving, whatever.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: When you're an Uber driver, right?
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: Whatever you call it.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: So I mean, you get to choose.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: So if you're taking part, it must, you know, it's be something that you want to do.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: But anyway, always a huge, huge event.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: And I love that this weekend, um, it's not gonna be extremely hot.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: We're gonna be in the 80s, so that'll be nice for EDC because when it gets too hot, like you mentioned, it is it's hard because you need water ever oh I mean they're gonna have water everywhere, but I mean it's constant water because you it's been over a hundred sometimes for that festival.
- 6:37Sean McAllister: Well, it has, and one thing that they've added up at the speedway over the years since EDC has been here in Las Vegas, is they have campgrounds now.
- 6:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:46Sean McAllister: So, you know, people can stay on site up at uh the big festival, just outside the festival grounds is where they have the campsite.
- 6:55Sean McAllister: But you know, that makes it a lot easier for people, and you know, then they don't have to make the the drive from the strip up to the speedway.
- 7:04Sean McAllister: They have a lot of shuttles and everything that run too, but you know, traffic can still get a little congested on the highway going up there.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: For sure, for sure.
- 7:12Dayna Roselli: Well, switching gears, a new show announced.
- 7:14Dayna Roselli: Uh David Blaine coming to Resorts World.
- 7:17Dayna Roselli: Kind of excited about this.
- 7:18Dayna Roselli: I used to watch all his specials on TV, and my mind was always blown, and they were fun to watch, you know?
- 7:25Sean McAllister: They were, and actually that was one thing I just saw uh this show was being uh put on, produced by AEG, the big concert event show promoter.
- 7:35Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 7:35Sean McAllister: Um, and I was speaking with an executive for AEG over at Resorts World the other night, and I brought that up.
- 7:42Sean McAllister: I was like, you know what?
- 7:43Sean McAllister: I've never seen uh David Blaine perform live in person.
- 7:47Sean McAllister: I've only seen those TV specials, and he said, exactly.
- 7:50Sean McAllister: That's really what's cool about this, is that he doesn't really do a lot of in-person shows.
- 7:57Sean McAllister: And that adds to the mystique and to the the mystery of what you're gonna get on stage here in Las Vegas.
- 8:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, definitely.
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: I I kind of feel like I've did he ever do like a one-off, or he was at a private event or charity that we've gone to, or maybe he's just been there.
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: But yeah, this is gonna be great.
- 8:16Dayna Roselli: I mean, I think it's a great addition, and it's something that like Resorts World doesn't have yet, right?
- 8:21Dayna Roselli: I mean, they have uh incredible artists that they've announced and have been performing there, but this is kind of, you know, they don't have an illusionist yet, so this is kind of like a new, a new cool thing for them.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:32Sean McAllister: So over the past several months, David Blaine has been popping in to, you know, do some tours over there, get to know the lay of the land, see the theater, see what's possible in the theater.
- 8:44Sean McAllister: And so he's been specifically designing a show for Resorts World, and they just released a promotional video for his upcoming uh run of shows, and he has live alligators.
- 8:58Sean McAllister: There's a 300-pound alligator that walks through the casino.
- 9:04SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 9:06Sean McAllister: And they didn't fake it, they actually had this alligator walking through the casino.
- 9:11Sean McAllister: There was a a really pretty uh albino alligator that's like small enough to hold.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: Um I don't know if that's pretty in my eyes.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: When you say alligator and pretty, but no, I guess you're right.
- 9:23Dayna Roselli: I mean, exotic.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: How about that?
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: Exotic, yeah.
- 9:25Sean McAllister: Um, but apparently there there could be alligators that are part of uh one of the stunts that David Blaine does in his show.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: Um and you got to see some of the pictures and you said they weren't doctored up.
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: This was the real deal.
- 9:38Sean McAllister: No, the real deal, yeah.
- 9:48Sean McAllister: Wow.
- 9:49Sean McAllister: Live in person.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: Oh boy.
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: Well, he's gonna be at Resorts World Theater September 30th and October 1st, October 28th and 29th, and then December 16th and 17th.
- 10:00Dayna Roselli: For now, you know how it goes.
- 10:01Dayna Roselli: Sometimes those sell out quick, and then they're like, okay, you know, people are into this, maybe they'll put more shows on sale.
- 10:07Dayna Roselli: But for now, that's on the schedule.
- 10:09Sean McAllister: I have a feeling he'll be back with with more shows.
- 10:12Sean McAllister: I think creating a special show just for Las Vegas is is something that, you know, if you're investing the time, money into doing something like that and effort, then you're gonna want to do more than just a handful of shows.
- 10:25Sean McAllister: But um something else is uh he's known for also his up close magic and illusions.
- 10:32Sean McAllister: And being in a theater like that, you know, he's gonna have to do depart from that a little bit and do something more grand that's fit for a stage in a theater like they have over at Resorts World.
- 10:45Sean McAllister: So I'm excited to see what he does.
- 10:46Sean McAllister: That'll be really cool.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: I know those used to be fun, you know, Chris Angel, Mind Freak, David Blaine specials on TV.
- 10:52Dayna Roselli: Those used to be like, you know, popular things that everyone would watch.
- 10:55Dayna Roselli: I they kind of need to bring that back, maybe.
- 10:57Sean McAllister: I know.
- 10:58Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 10:58Sean McAllister: And Copperfield making the statue of disappear.
- 11:01Sean McAllister: That was an event.
- 11:02Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: Right?
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: I asked him about that once when I interviewed him, and he didn't like really react that much.
- 11:07Dayna Roselli: He was like, well, yeah.
- 11:08Dayna Roselli: And I was like, well, I mean, like, kind of a big deal.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: I mean, but he acted like it was just one of his illusions.
- 11:13Sean McAllister: But you know what?
- 11:14Sean McAllister: That's one of those things, that's a moment in time from you know, childhood, or if you were an adult at the time.
- 11:20Sean McAllister: Like, you remember that.
- 11:22Sean McAllister: That was, and that was before I think cable TV really exploded.
- 11:26Sean McAllister: So you had limited choices.
- 11:28Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: You sat sat around Indian style waiting for it to come on.
- 11:31Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:32Sean McAllister: And but that's when everybody would sit around and watch that.
- 11:36Sean McAllister: And then during commercial breaks, you would hurry up and like call a friend and then be like, oh, oh, it's coming back on.
- 11:43Sean McAllister: I have to go.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: And also the phone would ring and ring and ring, and you'd wait to see who picked up on the other end.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: And you'd have to say, Is Tommy there?
- 11:52SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 11:53Dayna Roselli: Hold on, let me get him.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: Like nobody else answers anyone else's phone anymore.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: We're going in a completely opposite direction.
- 11:59Dayna Roselli: But isn't that funny?
- 12:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: Unless you call a home phone.
- 12:04Sean McAllister: That is so funny.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: Like, I would never call you and be like, is Sean there?
- 12:08Sean McAllister: That's so true.
- 12:09Sean McAllister: Only for businesses, I guess.
- 12:11Sean McAllister: Do you call and ask if you can speak with someone?
- 12:14Sean McAllister: But even then, you usually have a direct line.
- 12:17Sean McAllister: Right.
- 12:17Sean McAllister: I know.
- 12:18Sean McAllister: The world isn't changing.
- 12:19Dayna Roselli: So yeah, bringing it way back to the uh Statue of Liberty disappearing and the phone calls where you used to have to call your friend and ask if he was home, he or she.
- 12:28Sean McAllister: Reminiscing about the good old days.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: So, you know, big entertainment events can take you back to a place in time, and food can also do that.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: It also has that effect to bring you back and really bring up some memories, especially family time cooking.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: And you know, we always love when a new Italian restaurant comes to Las Vegas.
- 12:49Dayna Roselli: Um, and this one is special.
- 12:51Dayna Roselli: RPM Italian, now open inside the form shops at Caesars Palace, by the way.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: Uh Sean and I attended the grand opening party at the Form Shops.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: Thanks for the invite.
- 13:01Dayna Roselli: That was fun.
- 13:02Sean McAllister: It was great.
- 13:02Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 13:03Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, and that it was a that really was a a it felt like a big grand event, didn't it?
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: It did.
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: I mean, the food was coming out.
- 13:11Dayna Roselli: You could also walk up.
- 13:12Dayna Roselli: They had like a whole open kitchen and they just lined it with different foods and cheeses and pasta and uh and pasta plates and the whole nine where you could just go up and pick whatever you wanted to eat, then they were passing around.
- 13:24Sean McAllister: And the bar was flowing, too.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: And the bar was flowing.
- 13:27Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 13:28Dayna Roselli: That was flowing.
- 13:28Dayna Roselli: So that was so much fun.
- 13:30Dayna Roselli: Tons of local celebs were there.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: Also, uh some big celebs.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: Taylor Lautner was there from Twilight.
- 13:36Dayna Roselli: If you were Team Jacob, then you know who Taylor Lautner was, is, currently is.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: Um, Mark Davis was there, the owner of the Raiders, comedian uh Eddie Griffin.
- 13:46Dayna Roselli: We saw him there.
- 13:47Dayna Roselli: He's got a show over at the Sahara, so and the list goes on.
- 13:50Sean McAllister: And after the party, we stopped back over to RPM Italian to visit with the celebrity owners, Bill and Juliana Rancick.
- 13:58Sean McAllister: Juliana, of course, we know reported, hosted uh on e Entertainment News for decades.
- 14:06Sean McAllister: Bill won the very first season of the Apprentice TV show, they also had their own reality show too.
- 14:14Dayna Roselli: Bill, a huge entrepreneur as well, but uh this time it i they're opening a restaurant in Las Vegas, like we mentioned, but people may not know they have restaurants all over the country.
- 14:26Dayna Roselli: This particular restaurant, Sean, I thought was interesting that they're partnering with Let Us Entertain You.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: And I'm saying Let Us, it's L-E-T-T-U-C-E, like the food.
- 14:34Dayna Roselli: Um, and they run Monamiga B, which is hugely popular and has been for years and years and years and years over at the Paris.
- 14:42Sean McAllister: And also, I believe Joe's Joe's Stone Crab over at the forum shops as well.
- 14:47Sean McAllister: So they're established here.
- 14:48Sean McAllister: RPM Italian is the the latest restaurant under their uh Las Vegas umbrella.
- 14:55Sean McAllister: And we had a really good time sitting down talking with Bill and Juliana Rancig.
- 14:59Sean McAllister: Take a listen.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: You guys, what a party on Saturday night.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Wasn't that fun?
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: It was so much fun.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we we loved it.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: It was great, it was just the right vibe.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: You know, it was fun people, great food.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: It's funny, a lot of people said to me that normally at openings of restaurants at these types of parties, that the food isn't always so great because there are a lot of people to feed and it can it's not at the right temperature.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Everyone was saying they're like the most amazing thing was the food was incredible.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: It was hot, it was delicious.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: You wouldn't think that there were hundreds of people eating at the same time.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Uh so that was really nice that everyone had a great time and the food was great.
- 15:39unknown: Yeah.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Like you had fun, Bill.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: We had a great time, you know.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: I mean, we had great people here.
- 15:43SPEAKER_02: We had a lot of friends who live in Las Vegas come and support us, and we had some friends fly in from out of town.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: So uh we're having a good time.
- 15:51Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:51Sean McAllister: Well, and what we were saying too is since since everything started opening back up in Las Vegas again, and things uh right now feel like they're full steam ahead.
- 16:01Sean McAllister: But this was really the first event that felt like it was like a major deal.
- 16:06Sean McAllister: So, I mean, kudos to you guys for for opening and for having such a great event.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: You know what I think it is?
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Uh first of all, our team was super excited about this.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: So Las Vegas has been years in the making for us in terms of getting an RPM here.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: We opened the first RPM Italy in Chicago ten years ago.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: And when we realized it was a success, we started thinking about what other cities would we like to expand into.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: And Vegas was always at the top of our list, but it was really about the timing and finding the perfect location and the perfect deal.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: And so when Caesars and Forum shops, you know, became an opportunity and a real opportunity, we were like, that's it.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: But we've been trying to make this happen for about six years.
- 16:46SPEAKER_02: Um, we looked at a lot of locations here.
- 16:49SPEAKER_02: The old Barney's we almost took over and uh didn't work out, and and fortunately, because we love this spot, and a lot of our friends who are locals, uh aside from how much they love the food, they love the valet right here because it's easy in and easy out, and they're like, we are gonna be coming here all the time.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be our home away from home.
- 17:09unknown: Yeah.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: The parking makes a difference.
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: We know that from living here and popping around from event to event.
- 17:14Dayna Roselli: We're like, we actually plan and strategize ahead of time, right?
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: Right, it was a big deal for them.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: I mean, you know, they they were raving about the food and the and the atmosphere, but you know, on that list of compliments was the the Joe's valet that they get to use.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: And I think another thing too is when people plan their trips to Las Vegas, it's a big deal.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: And you're not just like, oh, let's go to Vegas, buy some tickets.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: You're like, what hotel are we staying at?
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: What restaurants are we gonna eat at?
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: You pre-book everything, whether you're gonna go to the spa, what you're gonna go see a show, it's like you plan everything, it's a big deal.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: And so for us, we take that very seriously.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: We know that people are gonna be coming here expecting a world-class experience, you know, from the city.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: And when they make a reservation RPM Italian, we're prepared to give them that very special experience that you expect when you go to Las Vegas.
- 18:03Sean McAllister: And looking at the menu, I know that that food and cooking is a big part of family for you guys.
- 18:12Sean McAllister: And are there specific menu items that really kind of hearken back to great family memories?
- 18:21Sean McAllister: And is that gonna, you know, come through on our plates as we sit down and eat as customers?
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think the the the first thing I can think of is my mom's dish that I grew up eating, which is called Mama de Pandi's Bucettini Pomodoro.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: It is the most incredible pasta.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: If you like pasta, okay, then you know.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Then you gotta try the Mama de Pandi's Bucettini Pomodoro.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: That's like I think the first dish to start here.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Since we opened our Pam Italian in Chicago ten years ago, that has surpassed every other dish every night in sales.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: Nothing else has beat it.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: Nothing, nothing.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: So it'll be interesting to see how it does here.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: I have a feeling it's gonna do great, but it's absolutely delicious.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: It's like you're back in Italy.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: So definitely try the Mama da Panties.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: For me, that's a big deal because I grew up on that dish.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I've had it thousands and thousands of times.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: I actually just had it a little while ago uh during something we were doing, and I go, and it's just crazy.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: I'm eating it like it's the first time.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: I'm like, God, it's so good.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: It's like just something you never ever get tired of.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: It's that good.
- 19:21SPEAKER_02: Well, I think I think every item on the menu is very carefully thought out, and we source all of our ingredients very carefully, very thoughtfully.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: We make sure we have the freshest ingredients uh from some of the greatest, you know, purveyors out there.
- 19:34SPEAKER_02: Um, one of the items on the list is exclusively only in Vegas, it's the Garganzola crusted Wagu beef.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: It comes from the Beaman Ranch, which is a family-owned ranch in uh Harwood, Texas.
- 19:44SPEAKER_02: Um, and they are one of the greatest, you know, purveyors that you can ever imagine.
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: But we we every item on our menu has a story.
- 19:51SPEAKER_02: We know where the food comes from, we know how it's sourced, how it's raised, and we take a lot of pride in that.
- 19:57Dayna Roselli: When you guys think about locations, now, like, will the Las Vegas restaurant have anything different?
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: Or do you just is it the staple every restaurant is exactly the same, or do you cater to the location?
- 20:09SPEAKER_02: We adjust, you know, all the fan favorites are on the menu, but you know, there's about four or five exclusive items just here in Las Vegas uh that we won't have at any of the other RPMs.
- 20:19SPEAKER_02: So the the Wagyu or the uh garganzola crusted Wagu is one of them, caviar barata is another one, this lobster caprese um is another one, and then we have some very special wines uh that we're only gonna he have here in Las Vegas.
- 20:34SPEAKER_02: We have one of the probably one of the deepest Italian wine lists you could imagine.
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: Um we have an amazing director of wine.
- 20:39SPEAKER_02: His name is Richard Hanauer.
- 20:41SPEAKER_02: I'm just trying to see if he's nearby.
- 20:43SPEAKER_02: Um but he puts a lot of effort and a lot of care into sourcing the best Italian wines you could ever dream of.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: And we have fun cocktails too, you know.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, you want a fun cocktail here in Vegas, you're gonna get one here, that's for sure.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: But also what's kind of funny is we created a special pizza just for Vegas, for RPM Italian Vegas.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: And it's uh an amalfi-based pizza from the Amalfi Coast.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Um it's so good in our short time, and we're barely open two days ago.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: That we're already it's so good and getting such great feedback that the Vegas pizza has already inspired us to go, wait a second, I don't I don't think we can make it exclusive.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: I think we have to bring it to the other RPM Italians because it's that good.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: So even in the short time we've been open in Vegas, already the locations inspiring dishes for our other locations because everyone at the party, everyone, all of our partners, everyone's like, that amalfi pizza is really good.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: I think we might need to change the menu and make all the RPMs have that pizza.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: So that's kind of cool too.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: You know, we we really we like Bill said, we're very agile, like we adapt.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: We are, you know, we take this very seriously, obviously, and we just want people to have the most incredible dining experience.
- 21:53Sean McAllister: And I know that you've been enjoying your time outside of the restaurant here in Las Vegas.
- 21:58Sean McAllister: Do you plan on?
- 22:00Sean McAllister: Being back a lot more often now that you have a restaurant here, would you ever consider uh having a a second place here?
- 22:08SPEAKER_02: I gotta tell you, as a real estate guy, the real estate here is it's amazing what it what's happening.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: Um we have a lot of friends who live here and have great homes with great pieces of property.
- 22:18SPEAKER_02: But we will be spending a lot of time here.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: My son uh and I went and toured the Raider Stadium on Saturday.
- 22:24SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: Incredible stadium.
- 22:26SPEAKER_02: Um excited to come back and watch some football games here and really you know, just taking everything Las Vegas has to offer, um, you know, I think it's become a really great family-friendly city, which we love.
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: Uh and that was one of the, you know, one of the reasons we're we're thrilled to have a restaurant here, because this is a restaurant you can come in and enjoy it with your whole family.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: But you know, look, the everyone knows the the food in Vegas, the experience is world class, but uh the entertainment's world class too, right?
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: And so for us, um we'll definitely be spending a lot more time here.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, look, in one weekend, we're getting Sebastian Manascalco and new kids on the block in the same weekend.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, what more can a girl ask for?
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, I said to Bill, when I heard that, I'm not kidding, I looked at him, I'm like, we need to move to Vegas.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Like, there's way too all my favorites are here.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, between new kids on the block and Sebastian Manescalco, sold.
- 23:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, we agree.
- 23:17Dayna Roselli: And even at the party on Saturday, we were like seeing all your celebrity friends here, and we knew and we're like, is it because of our like eight, like if Megan the Stallion walked by me, I wouldn't know, you know, but I'm like, oh, Taylor Laudner and Jason Kennedy and Bill and Juliana.
- 23:29Dayna Roselli: So it's funny, we're at that new kid, Sebastian, that's our jam.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: We gotta, I know, the new kids on the block, we gotta get him in here.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Jordan, John, Danny, Donnie.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: Well, I was excited to do that.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: We had the owner of the Raiders here, we had some Golden Knight players here, Dexter Fowler was here, Sheldon Stere is a good friend of ours, he's a retired hockey player, so we had a lot of great sports guys here as well.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: My eco-hosts were all out that night.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: Aaron, Justin, Jason.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: It was real it was so much fun.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: You know, it's great.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we had a lot of family and friends here.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: It was it was a blast.
- 24:00Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, welcome to Vegas.
- 24:01Dayna Roselli: We look forward to dining here for sure and a new location.
- 24:05Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 24:05Sean McAllister: Thank you.
- 24:06Sean McAllister: Thank you, Bill and Juliana, appreciate it.
- 24:08unknown: Thank you, thank you.
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: And we talked all about the parking in the valet, but just a little recap there.
- 24:12Dayna Roselli: So it's the valet that's off Las Vegas Boulevard, and you can see it right on the right side.
- 24:17Dayna Roselli: It's where you go to get to Joe's Stone Crab.
- 24:20Dayna Roselli: And basically you pass Joe's, you kind of circle to the right, you pass True Food Kitchen, and then keep going past the main doors, and it's right there in the corner.
- 24:32Dayna Roselli: Because everyone keeps asking me now, where is it?
- 24:34Dayna Roselli: Where is it located?
- 24:35Dayna Roselli: So really easy to find.
- 24:37Dayna Roselli: We were trying to decide and discuss what was there before.
- 24:40Dayna Roselli: There was something that opened and then it closed right away.
- 24:42Dayna Roselli: And so, anyway, it's a space that you may not be familiar with in that corner, but it is now officially RPM Italian and it's open.
- 24:49Sean McAllister: And we're looking forward to going back for uh another great time.
- 24:54Sean McAllister: Uh there's a concert that I wanted to mention, Dana, because uh a lot of obviously we talk about a lot of the big headliner shows that happen in Las Vegas, a lot of the touring shows that come through, but there are a lot of other great entertainers that come through and do events uh for charities and for good causes.
- 25:14Sean McAllister: And Michael Feinstein is one of those.
- 25:16Sean McAllister: He's a great uh musician, he uh performs the great American Songbook, he does a lot of jazz, and he was just in town um for the Great American Songbook Foundation, which he helped create, and it was a performance benefiting the Cleveland Clinic, Lou Ruveau Center for Brain Health, here in town.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and uh such a b important part of our community, right?
- 25:42Dayna Roselli: I mean, and we love when there's any type of event or fundraiser that brings in awareness of that and raises money for that facility.
- 25:52Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 25:53Dayna Roselli: And, you know, I feel like you're right.
- 25:55Dayna Roselli: I mean, a lot of times, gosh, we do get into talking about some of the big announcements that come out and the shows on the strip and some of the shows that take place at the arenas and the off the strip uh resort casinos, but we have wonderful places like the Smith Center and you know the Cleveland Clinic has an event center as well, which is cool.
- 26:17Sean McAllister: And that's where this concert took place.
- 26:20Sean McAllister: Uh so yeah, Michael Feinstein, great to have him in town, uh putting on a wonderful show for a great cause.
- 26:27Sean McAllister: So we just wanted to put that on the radar and thank you, Michael Feinstein, for stopping through and come back again.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: And I think John Lloyd Young was with him, right?
- 26:37Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he's great.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: He used to play in Jersey Boys on Broadway.
- 26:41Dayna Roselli: I think he was like the original Frankie Valley.
- 26:43Dayna Roselli: I don't know if I'm saying that right, if he was the original, but he definitely played Frankie Valley at one point.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: I know our friend Debbie Gibson's friends with him as well.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: So lots of folks in town with so much talent.
- 26:54Dayna Roselli: Keep your eyes open for that kind of stuff, and we'll try and throw it in here more when there are things upcoming.
- 26:59Sean McAllister: Let's get to tips.
- 27:03Sean McAllister: So, Dana, I know we've talked on Vegas Revealed before about Las Vegas being the ninth island, and that of course referring to Hawaii.
- 27:13Sean McAllister: They have there's eight islands in the chain, but Las Vegas is referred to as the ninth island because so many Hawaiians end up living here and also visiting.
- 27:24Sean McAllister: This is a favorite destination point for a lot of Hawaiians.
- 27:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you know, sometimes there are, you know, special events centered around that, or a lot of people go up to the California Hotel near Fremont Street because it has kind of that Hawaiian feel and Hawaiian theme.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: Um, we've talked many times to our friend Tom George, who's a reporter and anchor out in Hawaii, and he says everyone talks about the California and they have the commercials there in Hawaii and everything like that.
- 27:50Dayna Roselli: Um, but they're doing something for the first time up on Fremont Street experience when it comes to this type of festival.
- 27:58Dayna Roselli: It's the Luau Wow Festival, and we figured we better put this in tips because it's a free event, and people love free.
- 28:06Sean McAllister: It is.
- 28:06Sean McAllister: There's gonna be a lot of uh food, music, a lot of Hawaiian culture on display, and there's going to be a full-length concert from the Grammy Award-winning artist Shaggy.
- 28:19Sean McAllister: I love Gaggy.
- 28:20Sean McAllister: Remember, it wasn't me.
- 28:21Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 28:22Dayna Roselli: I love that song's on my on my iPhone.
- 28:25Dayna Roselli: That's a good one.
- 28:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Shaggy's great, and he's great live.
- 28:29Dayna Roselli: So uh that's gonna be a full-length concert.
- 28:32Dayna Roselli: So it's not even just like a couple songs, all right?
- 28:34Dayna Roselli: And I didn't know Shaggy has won two Grammy Awards.
- 28:38Dayna Roselli: I didn't realize that.
- 28:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 28:39Sean McAllister: Accomplished.
- 28:40Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 28:41Dayna Roselli: And this is all centered around this luau themed party.
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: Who doesn't love a good luau?
- 28:46Sean McAllister: Luau's are great.
- 28:47Dayna Roselli: I mean, when I go to luau's in Hawaii, Shaggy never shows up, but still, we're we're doing it like Vegas style, right?
- 28:53Sean McAllister: You gotta add the Vegas flair, of course.
- 28:57Sean McAllister: So this is all happening uh Saturday, June 11th on the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas.
- 29:04Sean McAllister: Luau WoW.
- 29:07Sean McAllister: And so you can go down there for free and check it out, which is great.
- 29:10Dayna Roselli: Sounds fun.
- 29:11Dayna Roselli: All right, let's talk hamburger day.
- 29:13Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 29:14Dayna Roselli: Okay, that's May 28th, so it's coming up.
- 29:16Sean McAllister: I'm perked up.
- 29:17Dayna Roselli: I know, perked up.
- 29:18Dayna Roselli: And you know, we keep getting all these uh different lists in from a lot of our friends around town saying, hey, uh, we're having this burger special and that burger special.
- 29:28Dayna Roselli: So we wanted to share some of the specials happening for National Hamburger Day, but also kind of go through a list that our friends over at Neon Feast put out.
- 29:37Dayna Roselli: That's an app that you can get and talks all about the best restaurants, and they're all recommended by foodies and longtime journalists and people in the food restaurant scene here in Las Vegas.
- 29:50Dayna Roselli: So they put out their own list of the best burgers in town.
- 29:53Dayna Roselli: So we'll we'll go over that too.
- 29:55Dayna Roselli: But first, I want to talk about some of the specials real quick.
- 29:58Dayna Roselli: Hey, the Guinness Burger.
- 30:00Dayna Roselli: This sounds up your alley, Sean.
- 30:02Dayna Roselli: This is at yeah, this is at the Re-Raw Irish pub, and that's over at Mandalay Bay.
- 30:07Dayna Roselli: And they're doing uh a celebration for National Hamburger Day.
- 30:10Dayna Roselli: The Guinness Burger has their house Guinness barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, beer-battered onion rings, lettuce and tomato on a toasted bun.
- 30:23Dayna Roselli: You can also enjoy the Dubliner burger, which features a rosemary-infused lamb patty along with goat cheese, grilled red onions, and curry aioli on a toasted bun.
- 30:36Dayna Roselli: So that's what they're doing at the Re-Raw Irish pub.
- 30:38Sean McAllister: This discussion is going to make me just blow up.
- 30:43Sean McAllister: Well, I'm trying I'm trying to get to trim down to get ready to go on vacation, and burgers and onion rings are one sure way to make me fly off the bandwagon.
- 30:58Dayna Roselli: Well, I'm gonna keep going.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: So Blondie's sports bar.
- 31:02Sean McAllister: Thanks for the support.
- 31:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we gotta move through this.
- 31:07Dayna Roselli: They are over at uh what, Miracle Mile shops, right?
- 31:09Dayna Roselli: Blondie's, yeah.
- 31:10Dayna Roselli: They're doing all sorts of specials.
- 31:12Dayna Roselli: They got the bacon cheeseburger, the ketchup uh oh, and sorry, Blondie's and the ketchup premium bar and grill are doing like bacon cheeseburger, the blondie's burger, the mushroom Swiss burger.
- 31:24Dayna Roselli: They got all sorts of things uh going on over there.
- 31:26Dayna Roselli: Ketchup's doing like the morning glory, which is like bacon, egg, hash brown, cheddar cheese, all that good stuff.
- 31:31Dayna Roselli: And then the big blue, which of course includes blue cheese, bacon.
- 31:36Sean McAllister: That's my favorite.
- 31:36Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 31:37Dayna Roselli: Are you like that?
- 31:38Sean McAllister: The blue I always, if there's a blue cheeseburger on the menu anywhere, I will go right for it.
- 31:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, blue cheese is really good.
- 31:47Dayna Roselli: Then over at the D on Fremont, uh, American Coney Island's doing some special things for National Hamburger Day, along with Victory Burger over at Circa.
- 31:57Dayna Roselli: Now let's get to the list of what Neon Fee says is the best burgers in town.
- 32:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, the top of their list is barcode burger, which is on East Flamingo.
- 32:07Sean McAllister: Um and I don't think that they ranked these in any particular order, but barcode begins with a B, so it's at the top of the list.
- 32:14Sean McAllister: Right.
- 32:14Sean McAllister: Um, which I've eaten there recently, and it really is good.
- 32:18Sean McAllister: Is it?
- 32:19Sean McAllister: I have great burgers, yeah.
- 32:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I think I drive by it to get to your house.
- 32:22Dayna Roselli: So you do.
- 32:23Dayna Roselli: Oh yeah, and I'm always like, hmm, I wonder if that place is good.
- 32:25Dayna Roselli: Good too.
- 32:26Sean McAllister: We'll have to do lunch there one day.
- 32:27Dayna Roselli: I know we should.
- 32:28Dayna Roselli: Bizarre Meat over at the Sahara, Las Vegas is on the list.
- 32:32Dayna Roselli: Burger Bar at the shops at Mandalay Bay.
- 32:35Dayna Roselli: I've been there many, many times.
- 32:36Dayna Roselli: I don't know why.
- 32:37Dayna Roselli: I guess I meet people there for lunch a lot, but I've had their burger many times.
- 32:42Dayna Roselli: They have a great burger, it's delicious.
- 32:44Sean McAllister: Burger Bar, a Hubert Keller restaurant?
- 32:46Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 32:47Sean McAllister: I think it is.
- 32:48Sean McAllister: He um is a celebrity chef here in town.
- 32:51Sean McAllister: He's had several restaurants, but burger bar, that was actually where uh I had my first interview when I uh came out here to move here for a TV job.
- 33:01Dayna Roselli: Oh, how fun! Yeah that's isn't it?
- 33:03Dayna Roselli: That holds a special place in your heart, right?
- 33:05Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 33:05Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 33:06Dayna Roselli: I I feel the same way about Pink Taco at the Hard Rock.
- 33:08Dayna Roselli: Same thing for me.
- 33:09Dayna Roselli: That's where my interview was.
- 33:10Dayna Roselli: All right, Carson Kitchen made the list.
- 33:12Dayna Roselli: That's up in downtown.
- 33:14Dayna Roselli: Great spot, small but delicious.
- 33:16Dayna Roselli: Echo and Rig over at Tivoli Village, that's kind of in the northwestish part of town of the strip, off the strip.
- 33:24Dayna Roselli: So Echo and Rig on Rampart also made the list.
- 33:28Dayna Roselli: Um, and then Honey Salt's on the list too, kind of in that direction as well, in an area we call Boca Park.
- 33:35SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 33:35Dayna Roselli: Uh delicious over there.
- 33:37Dayna Roselli: And apparently, you know, they have a great burger, which I've never had there.
- 33:41Dayna Roselli: I'm going to try now.
- 33:42Sean McAllister: And Holstein's over at the Cosmopolitan is on the list.
- 33:46Sean McAllister: I've eaten there many times.
- 33:48Sean McAllister: I've had lots of their burgers.
- 33:50Sean McAllister: They're all fabulous.
- 33:52Sean McAllister: Plus, they have boozy milkshakes.
- 33:54Dayna Roselli: Good to know.
- 33:55Dayna Roselli: Good to know.
- 33:56Dayna Roselli: Hey, I've never been to the Eureka casino.
- 33:58Dayna Roselli: Fat Choi in there is apparently a good burger spot or has a good burger.
- 34:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, I just drove by Eureka.
- 34:04Sean McAllister: Where is it?
- 34:05Sean McAllister: It's on Charleston, I believe.
- 34:07Sean McAllister: East Charleston.
- 34:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 34:10Dayna Roselli: Or maybe East Sahara.
- 34:12Dayna Roselli: Could be.
- 34:13Sean McAllister: Charleston or Sahara.
- 34:14Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 34:14Sean McAllister: But I was driving down toward the strip and past Eureka, and I was like, oh, there's Eureka.
- 34:20Sean McAllister: Eureka, I found it.
- 34:22Dayna Roselli: Stop in for a fat choice.
- 34:25Dayna Roselli: And then is it is it Fuku Burger?
- 34:27Dayna Roselli: Am I saying that right?
- 34:27Dayna Roselli: Fuku Burger.
- 34:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 34:29Dayna Roselli: Multiple locations, but that made the list as well.
- 34:31Sean McAllister: And they started as a food truck and actually ended up um, I think inside of is it Allegiant Stadium where they have uh could be, yeah.
- 34:40Sean McAllister: They're one of the vendors over there.
- 34:42Dayna Roselli: Okay, cool.
- 34:43Sean McAllister: Yeah, so they've done really well.
- 34:44Dayna Roselli: And then Smoke and Fire on East Russell.
- 34:47Dayna Roselli: You ever been there?
- 34:48Dayna Roselli: That's kind of your side of town.
- 34:49Dayna Roselli: Okay, me either.
- 34:50Sean McAllister: No, I need to.
- 34:50Dayna Roselli: Smoke and fire.
- 34:51Dayna Roselli: So we're we learned some some good spots too for burgers, but um, you know, take note if you're around National Burger Day, some good burgers, or if it's not National Burger Day, you can still go get a burger, right?
- 35:02Dayna Roselli: Those are some of the good spots.
- 35:03Sean McAllister: To me, every day is National Burger Day.
- 35:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's hard to have a bad burger, too, you know?
- 35:08Dayna Roselli: Like it is.
- 35:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, uh Shake Shack is one of my favorite burgers.
- 35:12Dayna Roselli: I really love Shake Shack.
- 35:13Sean McAllister: Steak sh steak and shake is good too.
- 35:15Dayna Roselli: Oh, is it?
- 35:16Dayna Roselli: Oh, that does sound good.
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: I mean, I like a good char broiled.
- 35:19Dayna Roselli: I mean, where I went to college, Fredonia, there was a stand, I don't even know it was a it was like a little spot, but they would literally, I don't know, they were like this char broiled, you would smell them cooking it, and they would put you know what I mean?
- 35:33Dayna Roselli: And it was just we used to go there all the time, loved it, uh anywhere.
- 35:38Dayna Roselli: But I've tried in and out and it's I don't know, it's not on my list.
- 35:41Dayna Roselli: I didn't get it.
- 35:42Sean McAllister: It's not personally for me either.
- 35:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
