- 0:03Speaker 1: Enough enough.
- 0:04Speaker 2: I don't have any series suck and we hold the
- 0:08Speaker 2: world ransom for.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Excuse me while I whipped.
- 0:13Speaker 3: This out broadcasting live and at Lanta, Georgia.
- 0:18Speaker 4: This this is the Sports Show with Wayne Dandy.
- 0:23Speaker 2: You may began Mega show me that come so far
- 0:30Speaker 2: comes that comes to mine?
- 0:33Speaker 5: Is it just.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I'm a doing? Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way
- 0:40Speaker 1: you made Bill Vegan. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I be listening
- 0:46Speaker 1: to the Sport Shock Show. I am the Sport Shock
- 0:49Speaker 1: Wayne Kany, Good morning to you out there and listening land.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Glad to be here with you. I've been doing a
- 0:55Speaker 1: whole bunch of high school football here in Georgia State.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Fine was this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Big Kenny asked
- 1:07Speaker 1: me before we went on air, how we get so
- 1:10Speaker 1: off schedule? Games are listed to start, and you know,
- 1:14Speaker 1: if you watch college, you watch pro, the first games
- 1:19Speaker 1: typically will dictate. But to be so far off and
- 1:24Speaker 1: it seems that you know, I've discussed this all week.
- 1:27Speaker 1: The only negative about how we run the high school
- 1:31Speaker 1: playoff system is that part the action is great, the
- 1:35Speaker 1: coverage is great, the kids, the high school women's flag
- 1:41Speaker 1: football games, all of that, but it does seems to
- 1:45Speaker 1: need to be addressed because when you tell an audience
- 1:50Speaker 1: eight or seven pm and you don't come on for
- 1:56Speaker 1: our hour and fifteen minutes later. We had a game
- 2:00Speaker 1: there between Buford and Carrollton that a lot of national
- 2:04Speaker 1: implications in that game was your question. It was listed
- 2:08Speaker 1: to start at eight apm and we maybe started about
- 2:12Speaker 1: nine twenty five. And it seems that just the scheduling
- 2:18Speaker 1: doesn't factor in that. What happens is after each and
- 2:22Speaker 1: every game, the next opponent, it's thirty minutes to warm up.
- 2:30Speaker 1: So each game that goes it Wouich starts at noon.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Once that game is over, it's thirty minutes on the clock,
- 2:38Speaker 1: and when you look at it, by the time the
- 2:41Speaker 1: night game hits, all those little extra minutes pushes things back.
- 2:46Speaker 1: So however that long that game goes and the next
- 2:49Speaker 1: thing you know, you're an hour, hour, fifteen off. But
- 2:52Speaker 1: great action down at the bend, a lot of players
- 2:57Speaker 1: you will soon know on the college level participating and
- 3:03Speaker 1: as I said from Mondaywick Creekside High School coach Mo Dixon,
- 3:08Speaker 1: congratulations Tuesday night, Beauford, first time Buford and all that
- 3:14Speaker 1: winning who really have made themselves of the last twenty years,
- 3:18Speaker 1: the most dominant team in the state. They may be
- 3:23Speaker 1: crowned here in the next week the national champion of
- 3:27Speaker 1: the country taking down Carrollton and then last night Gainesville.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Some of you did follow high school sports no matter
- 3:34Speaker 1: where you live, you might have heard the big brawl
- 3:37Speaker 1: Gainesville about in the second round. Got in a fight
- 3:40Speaker 1: with Brunswick, the court case and all of that. They
- 3:44Speaker 1: finally got them around to playing, but they lost last
- 3:47Speaker 1: night last night to the Southern Dogs. Thomas County Central,
- 3:53Speaker 1: the home of Charlie Ward is right next to at
- 3:58Speaker 1: the Florida Georgia line and just great football explosiveness. Young
- 4:03Speaker 1: Man Duce Lawrence headed to Wake Forest ran for three
- 4:06Speaker 1: hundred and eighty yards and five touchdowns. It was something
- 4:11Speaker 1: special to see. Thursday foot night football is here the
- 4:16Speaker 1: Rams at Seattle. Both of these teams. The Rams have
- 4:19Speaker 1: already locked up a playoff berth Seattle. If they beat
- 4:23Speaker 1: the Rams tonight would be the second team to do that.
- 4:26Speaker 1: And they're in the same division. What a division over
- 4:28Speaker 1: there with the forty nine Ers, who also are a
- 4:32Speaker 1: game of two from locking up. So one division. You're
- 4:35Speaker 1: going to see three teams from that NFC West, and
- 4:40Speaker 1: we are rolling on. If you do the numbers, about
- 4:44Speaker 1: seventeen excuse me, about fourteen of the thirty two teams
- 4:49Speaker 1: in the NFL have already been eliminated, and some of
- 4:52Speaker 1: you will be cheering this Sunday and not know that
- 4:56Speaker 1: your team it's already over. Kenny bad producer, he has
- 5:08Speaker 1: a command, is in the worst because at least the
- 5:11Speaker 1: Jets know been well, the Jets been though. The Falcons
- 5:16Speaker 1: knew really about three weeks ago. And the Cowboys sit
- 5:21Speaker 1: there like they always do, this little glimmer. The Cowboys
- 5:26Speaker 1: only get in if the Cowboys went out and we're
- 5:32Speaker 1: already out.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Oh, I thought y'all still had a little the loss
- 5:37Speaker 4: to the Vikings that I saw.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Let's make sure. I don't want to I don't want
- 5:41Speaker 1: to put nothing on you. It was some scenario about
- 5:44Speaker 1: it where if Gandolf got the rings before the game,
- 5:52Speaker 1: it was we had to win out. Yeah, it was
- 5:54Speaker 1: before the game, they had to win out. I'm on that.
- 5:56Speaker 1: So someone needs to tell the statistician over as the ESPN,
- 6:06Speaker 1: because right now, right now, I'm just trying to tell
- 6:10Speaker 1: you I looked at this when we were sitting here
- 6:12Speaker 1: right now, there's nothing next to the Cowboys. In the
- 6:14Speaker 1: scenario was if they won all three and Philly lost
- 6:19Speaker 1: all three, they would go to the playoffs.
- 6:24Speaker 4: I think that that tie is helping us hold on
- 6:27Speaker 4: for dear life.
- 6:29Speaker 1: That was supposed to be the whole scenario in that division.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I thought we were out after that. No, because that
- 6:36Speaker 1: would make the Cowboys nine seven and one and the
- 6:42Speaker 1: Eagles would be nine and eight. So they were the
- 6:48Speaker 1: only team out of the board here that of U
- 6:53Speaker 1: three that was still had any hope. But they would
- 6:55Speaker 1: need the Eagles to lose their last three games, and
- 6:59Speaker 1: they would have to win in their last three games.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And that's why I said, you're right there in the
- 7:03Speaker 1: worst position. We're a week the week you're sitting there
- 7:07Speaker 1: just teetering. But most teams have already been You just
- 7:11Speaker 1: have to check. You need to check, not to stop
- 7:15Speaker 1: your enthusiasm, but to understand the moves that you're you know,
- 7:22Speaker 1: like the Jets let their defensive coordinator go the Falcons.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You might tune in the game and wonder why a
- 7:29Speaker 1: certain player isn't in. You know, we're going to talk
- 7:33Speaker 1: about the Dolphins with two attack with the oh here
- 7:36Speaker 1: in this first hour. But why people are doing certain
- 7:40Speaker 1: things you might want to check out because I don't
- 7:43Speaker 1: think a lot of people are aware that they are eliminated,
- 7:48Speaker 1: but you are eliminated, Big Kenny, Well I'm eliminated.
- 7:51Speaker 6: I'm aware of Jets being eliminated because you know I'm
- 7:54Speaker 6: in transition. We transition in the fan transfer port transferal,
- 8:00Speaker 6: and part of the agreement was after we had officially
- 8:04Speaker 6: ended the season, I could start.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Well, truefans dot Com, as I keep trying to get
- 8:10Speaker 1: you to understand, truefan dot Com really doesn't allow for
- 8:16Speaker 1: what a lot of you like to sit around and
- 8:20Speaker 1: try to figure out. People keep thinking because my sister's
- 8:27Speaker 1: brother's kid is on a certain team, Now I get
- 8:33Speaker 1: a chance to stop being a cowboy and be something else.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Your team is your team. It's always your team. It
- 8:46Speaker 1: doesn't matter if your son or door to go play.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You don't get to take the shackles off of the
- 8:53Speaker 1: mediocre season because that's what some of y'all are waiting
- 8:57Speaker 1: around on you. Kenny's waiting on his grand son cowboy
- 9:01Speaker 1: Fan to find his way to the NFL so he
- 9:06Speaker 1: can stop being and just start And people see it
- 9:09Speaker 1: because you know why, because you always have to tell
- 9:14Speaker 1: the story. When you're sitting someone somewhere and people will
- 9:18Speaker 1: see you in a certain team gear and they ask you,
- 9:24Speaker 1: and they always ask like that, Man, you're a Jets fan,
- 9:28Speaker 1: They'll ask you that, and you, if you're being honest,
- 9:31Speaker 1: you have to throw in the part that, well I
- 9:34Speaker 1: used to be a Bears fan. Well, no, then that's
- 9:37Speaker 1: who you are. I'm sorry. I know y'all want to
- 9:42Speaker 1: do it. You want to ride on something else, you
- 9:44Speaker 1: want some but if you're a fac you gotta ride.
- 9:46Speaker 1: You gotta ride. And that's why in certain teams, in
- 9:49Speaker 1: certain towns and certain sports people cry. They tell y'all,
- 9:53Speaker 1: I didn't think I was ever gonna see it. It's
- 9:57Speaker 1: like Obama becoming the president. People were just crying it.
- 10:03Speaker 1: They didn't sit. They didn't think they were gonna see it.
- 10:04Speaker 1: They knew it was gonna happen. They think they was
- 10:07Speaker 1: gonna see it. Years back. I think the Cubs won
- 10:11Speaker 1: the championships. All those people they did ninety eight years older,
- 10:15Speaker 1: people on respirator machines, crying for the last time. Doctor
- 10:19Speaker 1: hadn't seen no signs of life in their body until
- 10:22Speaker 1: that day. And then all of a sudden they woke
- 10:25Speaker 1: up for our Cubs winning. They didn't know they had
- 10:32Speaker 1: been riding for a long time, commentioning they had them
- 10:35Speaker 1: shot was on. They were finally free, if only no
- 10:40Speaker 1: longer bound. You got you gotta ride with him, big kiddy,
- 10:44Speaker 1: Babby Ducer. I know I'm riding with my team. Shoot,
- 10:47Speaker 1: I ride the founder called day. Okay, I don't want
- 10:50Speaker 1: none of that. You know, hey, who I got? You
- 10:55Speaker 1: know he mixed it up in the No. He the
- 10:59Speaker 1: only man I know fans of only all the big brands. No, no, no, no,
- 11:03Speaker 1: ain't no big brand Lakers. You haven't a Lakers right now? Lakers.
- 11:08Speaker 7: Hey, but I've been to see my team play Lakers. Yeah, yeah, Yankees.
- 11:16Speaker 1: See the Lakers in the original stadium hoodie. I'm sure
- 11:21Speaker 1: they can see the two the two tones, the Yankee hat.
- 11:25Speaker 1: With more of the Sports talk show right after this.
- 11:30Speaker 8: I'll get on the beach sitting on about half a
- 11:34Speaker 8: million with all my almost all my women, next two years,
- 11:38Speaker 8: just to see about a billion for the love of
- 11:40Speaker 8: truck dealers. No, no, for other shops cushing them off.

- 14:47Speaker 16: to the next level.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Think Think, Think Think. Welcome back to this spot Shock Show.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I'm the sport Shock Wing Candy. Good morning to you
- 15:18Speaker 1: out there. With college football ending, remember the NFL will
- 15:23Speaker 1: invade on Saturday, so those aren't replayed games on Saturday.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Eagles at the Commander's Green Bay at Chicago. So tonight
- 15:38Speaker 1: my l A Rams are at the Seattle A great
- 15:42Speaker 1: division should be a great game here tonight guys, we
- 15:46Speaker 1: got a couple of questions we're gonna throw out there.
- 15:48Speaker 1: One if being late was fifteen dollars in a year's time,
- 15:56Speaker 1: how many times do you think you would be late?
- 16:00Speaker 1: If if the fine was fifteen hundred dollars? Just do
- 16:07Speaker 1: a number out there in a year's time, three hundred
- 16:09Speaker 1: and sixty five days every time you came in late. Well, no,
- 16:18Speaker 1: you three think you would be only three? Three forty
- 16:22Speaker 1: five hundred dollars? You think you would give back to
- 16:25Speaker 1: be late? Big kenny? Oh wow? Depend that much?
- 16:29Speaker 6: Does my salary and versus and for me that kind
- 16:35Speaker 6: of late. You know, I try not to be late
- 16:38Speaker 6: now with no penalty, So a penalty would really be
- 16:42Speaker 6: you know, somebody would get hurt because I go through
- 16:46Speaker 6: a light something like that, go through the school bus.
- 16:48Speaker 1: So three for you, zero for you, and how many
- 16:50Speaker 1: for you five? Two or three forty five hundred dollars? Yeah? Wow?
- 16:56Speaker 1: I was late once one time, one time, fifteen years
- 17:00Speaker 1: its football knife stealing your no matter where we went,
- 17:04Speaker 1: when you got there, the knife was stealing your chest.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I was like, had a good job. This is nineteen
- 17:10Speaker 1: ninety four. I read the itinery wrong. It was about workout.
- 17:16Speaker 1: You supposed to work out, but rookies were supposed to
- 17:19Speaker 1: be there at seven. It said you could work out
- 17:23Speaker 1: between seven and nine. But I stopped at that point
- 17:27Speaker 1: and forgotten to look right under it. But it said
- 17:30Speaker 1: rookies at seven. It was six hundred dollars. This was
- 17:34Speaker 1: thirty one years ago. That was it for me. You
- 17:40Speaker 1: started reading the whole page and that was it. It
- 17:43Speaker 1: was fifteen years. I couldn't give back even that much.
- 17:50Speaker 1: He made a coment based on your salary. That's the
- 17:53Speaker 1: mentality that has you late. That's the mentality that opens
- 18:00Speaker 1: five thousand. I'm not going to give you anything back,
- 18:04Speaker 1: just for time. For time management, now that's nothing. Yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 1: you know, for time management that's emergencies. Is not late.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Because I have a phone, and if my car breaks
- 18:18Speaker 1: down on my way to work, I'll just say I
- 18:21Speaker 1: can call and actually tell them, Yes, that's not a fine.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Getting in an accident, car break, that's not fine. That's
- 18:31Speaker 1: called the number. I was just wondering. It was something
- 18:34Speaker 1: that hit me. I wondered that. But I see that
- 18:37Speaker 1: even at that expense, the course correction would still be three.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I said to three and zero. The Kenny is kind
- 18:46Speaker 1: of more of what I as soon as that hit
- 18:48Speaker 1: is like boom, that's it for me. In a fifteen
- 18:51Speaker 1: year I was just wondering how people would do it.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Would it get people attention? You know a lot of
- 18:56Speaker 1: things happen doesn't get people attention. Some guys are pay
- 19:00Speaker 1: the fine. I talked about that with the Orlando Magic
- 19:03Speaker 1: player Bang. They hit him with thirty five hundred for
- 19:08Speaker 1: throwing the ball. He said, he get it. That's it.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be doing that no more. I'm sorry.
- 19:16Speaker 1: He went right back two weeks later. I don't. I
- 19:19Speaker 1: don't make in my mind how I take money. I
- 19:22Speaker 1: don't make enough money ever pay for frivolous stuff. No,
- 19:29Speaker 1: that's just not it. People think it, but it's the
- 19:34Speaker 1: concept of that is offensive to me. I can be
- 19:37Speaker 1: ubazo and I'm not buying a twelve dollars coke at
- 19:42Speaker 1: the hotel now. I don't care. No, you'll be sitting there.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I'm still not doing You still can't just get me.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I don't anymore.
- 19:54Speaker 17: I know.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm not buying a nine dollars sneakers. You
- 19:59Speaker 1: can't just hustle me and fleece me. It would have
- 20:04Speaker 1: to be that you're going in a diabetic shop and
- 20:06Speaker 1: we need to get you some candy. But other than that,
- 20:11Speaker 1: we're not doing that. He's thirty five dollar Macadamian nuts.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I just saw him at publics by one get one
- 20:20Speaker 1: free for hustling me. That's but that's how my mind works.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I understand everybody thinks now.
- 20:30Speaker 6: Now I would I would attribute for me, that's a mindset.
- 20:36Speaker 6: That is, that is something that has to be ingrained
- 20:39Speaker 6: and uh practiced that that is, you have to make
- 20:45Speaker 6: yourself the type because.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Because that's the discipline of sports. For it's not worth
- 20:51Speaker 1: it that stuff Allen Iverson was willing to do just
- 20:54Speaker 1: to wear and not to wear a suit? What what what?
- 20:57Speaker 1: And that's what I'm saying to you one hundred thousand
- 21:00Speaker 1: and that mentality starts way before you start making that money.
- 21:05Speaker 1: You would just see me in the same suit all
- 21:07Speaker 1: the time game. It's just stay in the car. It
- 21:09Speaker 1: would never actually leave. It's just it would just be
- 21:13Speaker 1: the same suit tie combination. Just I'm like Marshall, I'm
- 21:18Speaker 1: just here boss. But again, I think.
- 21:25Speaker 6: Some people will squander money that way because they honestly
- 21:30Speaker 6: believe it shows some sort of autonomy and power. I
- 21:34Speaker 6: don't care about the money without really giving credence to
- 21:38Speaker 6: the fact that I worked super hard to get to
- 21:41Speaker 6: the level where where giving money back is even an option.
- 21:45Speaker 6: Some people don't live in a environment where they get
- 21:49Speaker 6: fined for being late. You had a in the rare
- 21:52Speaker 6: air when that's happening, and for you to just squander

- 25:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 25:02Speaker 1: Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out there listening Land.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Come on you Greg, Big Kenny, the bad producer in
- 25:08Speaker 1: the building. We are a week away from Christmas. Have
- 25:13Speaker 1: you done your Christmas shopping? A lot of you are
- 25:17Speaker 1: those online. But now they're probably gonna hit you for
- 25:20Speaker 1: the little extra get it there by Christmas. They're either
- 25:23Speaker 1: they're either giving you the discount to get you to
- 25:26Speaker 1: try to buy by telling you we'll get it there,
- 25:29Speaker 1: or they're gonna hit you with a.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Little today the last day. If they get it by
- 25:34Speaker 4: Christmas and today, you gotta do it today.
- 25:36Speaker 1: A week away from Christmas, two weeks away from a
- 25:40Speaker 1: new year. We talked about the NFL a little bit.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Let's roll around to college. As I said, being engaged
- 25:46Speaker 1: in a lot of high school games, I really and
- 25:51Speaker 1: seriously didn't know the bulls sometimes with the playoffs, because
- 25:55Speaker 1: the college football playoff does start tomorrow night. It is
- 26:00Speaker 1: really just white that bowls happen out of my mind.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Remember this first round of the college football playoffs are
- 26:11Speaker 1: at uh the higher ranked teams stadium, So that Alabama
- 26:18Speaker 1: game is at Oklahoma, So it's not a neutral site
- 26:24Speaker 1: these first rounds, And just like the super Bowl once
- 26:28Speaker 1: used to be in just like three four cities and
- 26:30Speaker 1: the other city suit that they need their opportunity to
- 26:33Speaker 1: get that money in. Don't be surprised if, like other
- 26:37Speaker 1: than the national game ends up to where it's home.
- 26:42Speaker 1: They're gonna see that. They're gonna do the numbers. This
- 26:44Speaker 1: is this is a test. You gotta you gotta always
- 26:47Speaker 1: try to be three steps ahead. Three steps ahead is imagining. Well,
- 26:51Speaker 1: why did why didn't they pick neutral sites? Well, they
- 26:54Speaker 1: want to see the numbers. Test subjects all the gold
- 27:00Speaker 1: down there in New Orleans that the people built stories
- 27:03Speaker 1: on the it was it was all about testing. It
- 27:05Speaker 1: was about slaves, people that were imprisoned. Uh. They were
- 27:10Speaker 1: using everything for medical advancement. They didn't have any basements.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Everything was above so you could hear when people would
- 27:20Speaker 1: scream out. And this is just a test subject right
- 27:22Speaker 1: here to see how this works. Auburn, Alabama used to
- 27:27Speaker 1: be called the Iron Bowl, and they random numbers while
- 27:30Speaker 1: we're giving all this money to Birmingham. I mean, you
- 27:34Speaker 1: know we did it.
- 27:36Speaker 25: We could build a couple of hotels right here in
- 27:41Speaker 25: Tuscanosa three years and yeah, we could we could get
- 27:47Speaker 25: some uh, I mean with programs as uh developing as
- 27:54Speaker 25: Southern miss I've seen that with my own eyes, where
- 27:57Speaker 25: it used to be any big games had to be
- 28:00Speaker 25: played away. But we'll throw a couple of hundred million
- 28:03Speaker 25: dollars into a stadium and some hotels and now we
- 28:07Speaker 25: can play that right here in town.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Kirby Smart Georgia. They're trying to get that Florida Georgia
- 28:13Speaker 1: game to act. Yeah, they've been trying for a while,
- 28:17Speaker 1: trying we can sell out. We're selling out on just
- 28:22Speaker 1: a regular hotel prices, just like anywhere else. FIFA. FIFA
- 28:28Speaker 1: is under scrutiny because people talking about the tickets too high,
- 28:33Speaker 1: tickets too hot.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Well said, they won't be calling the stadiums by.
- 28:38Speaker 1: He said hot. He tied tickets too high. So even Auburn,
- 28:47Speaker 1: you go those games, I just drive to them. They
- 28:49Speaker 1: don't need to trying to get because they're saying three
- 28:52Speaker 1: night minimum at three times a rate. I'll just drive. Man,
- 28:57Speaker 1: you're gonna stay to night. No, I got an hour
- 29:00Speaker 1: and a half in me, trust me. I got a
- 29:04Speaker 1: our and half. The we can play some kind of game.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I went down there last time. My daughter had some
- 29:08Speaker 1: kind of a word game. Next day almost ran into
- 29:13Speaker 1: my I was like, now all the time, it's like
- 29:16Speaker 1: I got that before. I give you eight hundred dollars
- 29:19Speaker 1: for a room for one night or night, and at
- 29:23Speaker 1: a hotel, that's usually not the eight hundred for the
- 29:28Speaker 1: one you've added on like thirteen different taxes now at
- 29:33Speaker 1: these hotels you get the hotel.
- 29:35Speaker 7: Is kind of like the ad men free. Yeah, service
- 29:40Speaker 7: fee from the key. If you don't turn your key in,
- 29:43Speaker 7: it's gonna be filed off service fee you used to WAE.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Yeah, the Bold Season is here, so check your listening.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Don't ask me. It was a couple long last night.
- 29:52Speaker 1: I have no clue. I know Delaware played Louisiana. The
- 29:56Speaker 1: only reason I know that is one of the players
- 29:58Speaker 1: in the game last night was headed to Delaware. But
- 30:02Speaker 1: Bold Season is here. Com at you. Greg mentioned before
- 30:06Speaker 1: the show that something about the Bowl What was that
- 30:10Speaker 1: question you had or you're saying they're trying to investigate.
- 30:15Speaker 4: It's being discussed about a group of six playoffs that's
- 30:20Speaker 4: separate from the college football playoffs. Just so there are
- 30:28Speaker 4: as I saw this yesterday. Yeah, that's some with the
- 30:31Speaker 4: other bowls, other bowl organizers. They support some kind of
- 30:36Speaker 4: playoff format for teams that aren't in the college football playoff.
- 30:41Speaker 1: So they're trying to create an n I T. Yeah,
- 30:45Speaker 1: basically no, now this is that's a good point right there.
- 30:49Speaker 1: But the n I T came before, so they wouldn't
- 30:53Speaker 1: Actually they wouldn't. They wouldn't actually be created, but they're
- 30:58Speaker 1: trying to lower this. No, no, no, I get I
- 31:01Speaker 1: totally got your point. But I'm telling somebody that the
- 31:04Speaker 1: other day, I said, but I think the n i T.
- 31:06Speaker 1: N I T did it is older, just created something
- 31:10Speaker 1: with bigger names. It was a lot more popular. Yeah,
- 31:13Speaker 1: the n I T.
- 31:13Speaker 7: How it went was it basically only the conference champions
- 31:17Speaker 7: went to the n i T Invitational. That's why it's
- 31:21Speaker 7: such a thing for uh U n C was to
- 31:24Speaker 7: win your regular season conference championship beause that was the
- 31:26Speaker 7: only reason you got to go to the National Invitation Tournament.
- 31:29Speaker 6: Okay, so I thought that was bowl games, like we
- 31:32Speaker 6: got the college championship and what used to be the
- 31:35Speaker 6: accomplishment the game has now been expanded.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Listen, it's a test, he told you.
- 31:41Speaker 7: If they do that, that's a test that can add
- 31:44Speaker 7: more teams to the twelve and see if we can
- 31:48Speaker 7: run it through the bowl. But remember, it's gonna do something.
- 31:53Speaker 7: Remember when you said it's gonna be a test. Now
- 31:55Speaker 7: just think about it.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Well, the whole system is broken because you can't have
- 32:00Speaker 1: the playoff system the way they want. See, and it's
- 32:04Speaker 1: not that they're trying. They're just trying to keep some tradition,
- 32:10Speaker 1: and right now the tradition, the tradition is going to
- 32:14Speaker 1: have to give way to the dollar sign. There's no
- 32:19Speaker 1: playoff system. Just like we talked about the SEC Championship.
- 32:23Speaker 1: We can't have teams playing more games that that. That
- 32:30Speaker 1: can't be. We're either all going to figure out a
- 32:32Speaker 1: way to play next week or we're not. Playoff systems
- 32:36Speaker 1: don't play. I think they play this weekend and then
- 32:38Speaker 1: they're off for like two weeks to try to get
- 32:40Speaker 1: in sync with the bowl games. That's not how playoffs
- 32:43Speaker 1: work the season. In next week, somebody plays, and then
- 32:48Speaker 1: so on and so on and forth to it's over. But
- 32:52Speaker 1: there's no there's no breaks put in like they're trying
- 32:55Speaker 1: to create. They're trying to still facilitate championship championship games,
- 33:00Speaker 1: bowl seasons. A lot of these teams, like a Notre Dame.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I had the honor of going up on Sunday this
- 33:07Speaker 1: past Sunday to Pittsburgh. They were doing the ring honor
- 33:12Speaker 1: Joey Porter, great linebacker for them. He invited me up.
- 33:16Speaker 1: He was going in the hall with Ben Roethlisberger and Marquis,
- 33:21Speaker 1: Marquith Pouncy, and just we're sitting there having dinner talking
- 33:27Speaker 1: and a lot of guys just understand now their sons
- 33:30Speaker 1: are playing and leaving Notre Dame. You got to realize
- 33:35Speaker 1: with Notre Dame, they wanted out of the bowl first
- 33:38Speaker 1: and foremost because they taking my ball and go home.
- 33:42Speaker 1: They were pouting because they got left out. Second, as
- 33:47Speaker 1: was revealed to me, was that with the transfer portal
- 33:52Speaker 1: being January to second, Notre Dame doesn't want you to
- 33:59Speaker 1: see any of their player. If I go play a bowl,
- 34:03Speaker 1: then you as another team you can't talk to to
- 34:06Speaker 1: see what I got in the in the cabinet, and
- 34:12Speaker 1: then you still would have time by January the second.
- 34:15Speaker 1: So say last night Delayle played Louisiana. The bigger teams
- 34:21Speaker 1: are sitting there watching. Okay, we were looking for a
- 34:24Speaker 1: little running back and that's running back down and as
- 34:28Speaker 1: they come down the tunnel, hey, hey, bring Johnson. Let
- 34:31Speaker 1: me let me talk to you. Where your folks at?
- 34:33Speaker 1: I ask them how they feel about them. I'm telling
- 34:36Speaker 1: you I was calling the game knowing this information. I'm
- 34:38Speaker 1: sitting there calling the game last night of the young
- 34:40Speaker 1: man is going to wake Forest. He breaks the Georgia
- 34:44Speaker 1: state record for yards over Herscha Walker three hundred and
- 34:48Speaker 1: eighty yards, five touchdowns. He's headed the Wake Forest and
- 34:52Speaker 1: I'm sitting there everybody almost the end of the third
- 34:55Speaker 1: like Wake might want to just send a plane.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Down and get him was in because I don't know
- 35:01Speaker 4: how Clemson is probably calling it exactly.
- 35:04Speaker 1: You ain't signed that, and you know my co host
- 35:08Speaker 1: Matt Stewart is telling me, no he signed. I'm like,
- 35:11Speaker 1: I don't know how binding this stuff seems to be anymore.
- 35:15Speaker 1: I didn't get it in your money. You didn't give
- 35:19Speaker 1: me no money. He said. I had to finish this
- 35:22Speaker 1: game and then you would give me a check, right right,
- 35:26Speaker 1: right way. I didn't take your money. Yet, I didn't
- 35:28Speaker 1: take your money, and so you can.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Still get out of it like he he may if
- 35:32Speaker 4: he signed a letter of intent tomorrow, he could like, oh,
- 35:36Speaker 4: let's cancel that, and just.
- 35:39Speaker 1: I think I'm all.
- 35:40Speaker 7: I got to say, Matt Stewart, you better listen to him,
- 35:42Speaker 7: because I thought somebody was going to Auburn.
- 35:44Speaker 1: He told me Twitty kids chasing why he can't change
- 35:49Speaker 1: his mind. None of this seems to be binding at all.
- 35:53Speaker 6: We've seen you literally students leave in the middle of
- 35:56Speaker 6: the night after having gotten money. We got University of
- 35:59Speaker 6: Georgia swing a kid to get money back and Troy
- 36:02Speaker 6: a man is refusing.
- 36:03Speaker 1: To get to buy a girl skate lord in the car. Man,
- 36:08Speaker 1: let's go. Oh yeah, we're going to dinner to celebrate
- 36:11Speaker 1: the win. We're going. We're going, you know we we
- 36:14Speaker 1: got your room. We're going. Got I got a shower.
- 36:17Speaker 1: We're going. We're going to Knoxville. No, we're going to
- 36:21Speaker 1: Winstle Salem. No, I got my past on. Let me
- 36:23Speaker 1: get a shower. You can go our will we get

- 40:15Speaker 1: As we talked about a week away from Christmas, two
- 40:18Speaker 1: weeks away from a new year, Thursday Night football still
- 40:21Speaker 1: going on. Just still surprised. I guess it goes it
- 40:26Speaker 1: wouldn't be the last week. I know they make everybody
- 40:28Speaker 1: play on Sunday in that last week of games, but
- 40:33Speaker 1: to me, Thursday Night should have faded out right there
- 40:36Speaker 1: with Thanksgiving. That should have been kind of a signal, Dad,
- 40:39Speaker 1: we're gonna get everybody on a normal schedule. But Rams
- 40:44Speaker 1: the Red Heart, Rams Matt Stafford having an MVP's MVP
- 40:49Speaker 1: season taking on the Sea Hawks and that great defense
- 40:54Speaker 1: that they put out there tonight. Travis Kelce a name
- 40:58Speaker 1: that keeps coming up. I don't know why everybody likes
- 41:01Speaker 1: to weigh in on what Travis Kelsey needs to do
- 41:04Speaker 1: should do. He's finally looking more mortal after so many
- 41:10Speaker 1: years of looking like a super hero. But that's what
- 41:13Speaker 1: age does, and sometimes you can redefine yourself. I think, Travis,
- 41:19Speaker 1: my advice for you was, as long as the Chiefs
- 41:23Speaker 1: want to keep you around and adjust to your age,
- 41:29Speaker 1: as far as like how much training camp and those
- 41:32Speaker 1: kind of things, I would come back, especially if it's
- 41:38Speaker 1: still in you. So many times we see guys leaving.
- 41:43Speaker 1: You get the filling with Philip Rivers, who you know
- 41:46Speaker 1: was solid the other day, gave him a chance in
- 41:50Speaker 1: that game against the Seahawks to win. They had to
- 41:53Speaker 1: kick a field goal to win that game. But that
- 41:57Speaker 1: move right there tells me that when Philip left that
- 42:00Speaker 1: last year, he wasn't ready to go, but he went
- 42:04Speaker 1: with the smarter move right. I'm thirty nine, I'm forty,
- 42:09Speaker 1: I got nine kids, nine. It's time at that time
- 42:13Speaker 1: at nine and now he has the full it's time
- 42:16Speaker 1: to transition. And never when you play a long time,
- 42:21Speaker 1: you earn a year backup. Travis Kelce right now he's
- 42:26Speaker 1: earned to have a year where he gets to be
- 42:30Speaker 1: the second tight end man, man, that's how anyone has
- 42:34Speaker 1: done all that. Ann Rogers to me, you know, if
- 42:36Speaker 1: he wanted to come back next year and was cool
- 42:39Speaker 1: with a team saying hey, we're going to keep you
- 42:42Speaker 1: and you've earned that. Now we put pressure that, oh no,
- 42:45Speaker 1: you're a starter. You can never find yourself. That's why
- 42:48Speaker 1: we didn't get any of the great AI. That's why
- 42:53Speaker 1: Carmelo missed the year that we could have saw him
- 42:55Speaker 1: out on the court because he didn't want to accept
- 42:58Speaker 1: coming off the bench. AI didn't want to. We put
- 43:00Speaker 1: the pressure that, oh man, that means that you, well,
- 43:04Speaker 1: I'm not the dude, but I am a dude. Why
- 43:08Speaker 1: why I would not go out here and get me
- 43:11Speaker 1: another year and and and play and who I might
- 43:14Speaker 1: have a better great season just without being caught up
- 43:18Speaker 1: in that cage. I could end up winning a six
- 43:22Speaker 1: man award. Yeah, a lot of possibilities at that point.
- 43:27Speaker 1: When you start getting this much winning, you start to
- 43:30Speaker 1: get in those double digit years. Why do you think
- 43:33Speaker 1: the public always wants to jump in and tell someone,
- 43:40Speaker 1: especially someone Michael Travis Kelsey, who, at least from what
- 43:43Speaker 1: we see, it's not like he is playing through some
- 43:48Speaker 1: tragic injury or something that's a difference. That's a different
- 43:52Speaker 1: set of cards. Why do y'all think it's so much
- 43:56Speaker 1: outside or not and not just him? Just example, why
- 44:01Speaker 1: we jump on this whole idea that if you've been
- 44:06Speaker 1: famous or you've been a star, you don't get a
- 44:09Speaker 1: year or two the cruise and just enjoy.
- 44:14Speaker 6: I think that, and this is not to slight anybody.
- 44:18Speaker 6: People who haven't achieved at that level, imagine that if
- 44:22Speaker 6: they could achieve at that level, it would be in perpetuity.
- 44:27Speaker 1: I would never fall off. I wouldn't My time would
- 44:31Speaker 1: be forever.
- 44:32Speaker 6: And if I'm not the guy, then I'll just retire.
- 44:37Speaker 6: There is no going from hitting twenty eight points per
- 44:42Speaker 6: game to just gave you a solid nine. You know,
- 44:47Speaker 6: they feel like that is almost like not playing. But
- 44:50Speaker 6: the truth of the matter is if you're serviceable and
- 44:55Speaker 6: this is what you do, this is this is your job.
- 44:58Speaker 6: Like what else would he do? Everybody says you ought
- 45:02Speaker 6: to go off and do something else, like what go
- 45:04Speaker 6: to the booth? Who's going to get out of the
- 45:06Speaker 6: booth to let me in it? All of the network
- 45:08Speaker 6: seemed to have somebody, So I think that's that's it.
- 45:12Speaker 1: People. It's because they've never done anything like that. Well,
- 45:17Speaker 1: I mean, you look at Grunk. You know he could
- 45:19Speaker 1: take the road.
- 45:20Speaker 7: Grunk took as far as at some point, down it
- 45:23Speaker 7: down a little bit. Then Grunk took a year off
- 45:26Speaker 7: or so, and then he came back to play with Tampa.
- 45:28Speaker 7: I mean, it's just all in how you feel, how
- 45:32Speaker 7: you body. I mean, there's nothing wrong.
- 45:33Speaker 1: And I'm saying, but why do you think outside of
- 45:37Speaker 1: the sport, outside of the athlete, people quick to jump
- 45:40Speaker 1: on the retirement bandwagon.
- 45:43Speaker 7: Because they don't understand I mean, retire, yeah, they should,
- 45:47Speaker 7: just you know, as soon as the season old Travis, Man,
- 45:51Speaker 7: I'm gonna tell you, retire, Why did you get there?
- 45:55Speaker 7: Tony Gounzalas would have retired, man, we wouldn't have had
- 45:57Speaker 7: what we had here in Atlanta those few years to whatever.
- 46:00Speaker 7: So if he would have listened to the nat sayers,
- 46:02Speaker 7: you understand that, that's all okay. If you listen to
- 46:04Speaker 7: people to tell you to retire, and you know your body,
- 46:08Speaker 7: you know where you are.
- 46:09Speaker 1: But you start, you start greg and hold on big kidding,
- 46:12Speaker 1: You start in the Fox Theater, right, and then you
- 46:15Speaker 1: make your way to State Farm, or you make your
- 46:18Speaker 1: way if you're super huge over to the Mercedes Bens.
- 46:23Speaker 1: But after years and years and years, why can't I just.
- 46:25Speaker 6: Go back to the fact, to the pushlocks, Go to Fox,
- 46:30Speaker 6: Go back to the Fox.
- 46:32Speaker 1: It happened that I might not have Bens nobility no more.
- 46:36Speaker 1: But if I if I could make it to the Bens,
- 46:39Speaker 1: then surely I could sell out the Fox. I got
- 46:42Speaker 1: some true diehards. Yeah, that fill up the Fox. Another
- 46:47Speaker 1: thing I think for you they might not know here
- 46:49Speaker 1: in Atlanta and most cities have a Fox Theater. They
- 46:53Speaker 1: were a big brand of movie chains and the theaters
- 46:57Speaker 1: that around. Because sometimes you just to sign in a
- 47:00Speaker 1: movie and think, oh man, that's Atlanta. No, it's a
- 47:03Speaker 1: spot Detroit. That's happened to me, Like we at the
- 47:10Speaker 1: Fox Diader, Oh Atlanta. No, in New York. But they
- 47:14Speaker 1: got a Fox Diader in New York. But I just
- 47:16Speaker 1: with Travis is because it's just one of those things
- 47:19Speaker 1: where guys, if Chris Paul wanted to change his mind
- 47:23Speaker 1: and somebody wanted to bring him in in some kind
- 47:25Speaker 1: of capacity that still would think he was good enough
- 47:31Speaker 1: to be part of their team. Didn't bring him in,
- 47:34Speaker 1: then bring him in.
- 47:35Speaker 6: And sports, you think sometimes people also romanticize retirement, like
- 47:40Speaker 6: I can't wait to get away from my job.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody, I think sees themselves fifteen years into a
- 47:48Speaker 1: sport bases loaded three three game at the plate, hitting
- 47:57Speaker 1: the home run brand slam to win the game, and
- 48:04Speaker 1: taking off all their clothes when they crossed the plate,
- 48:07Speaker 1: like I don't done it. That's it, that's it, that's
- 48:11Speaker 1: not like that that they all have that kind of
- 48:15Speaker 1: idea that that's how retirement happens. Like in this glorious
- 48:20Speaker 1: on top of the heel moment.
- 48:22Speaker 19: Three two, watch why because half of them are counting
- 48:30Speaker 19: your money and they think you still have it, and
- 48:32Speaker 19: a lot of them, guys, you might be sitting there like,
- 48:34Speaker 19: won't need.
- 48:36Speaker 1: More seasons, get my house paid off. We'll be back
- 48:41Speaker 1: more to Sports Duck Show right after this.

- 49:30Speaker 20: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 49:32Speaker 20: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people.
- 49:36Speaker 20: It's a powerful opioid, often made illegally and commonly mixed
- 49:39Speaker 20: with illicted drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 49:43Speaker 20: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 49:47Speaker 20: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 49:50Speaker 20: This isn't an AD to scare you, but it is

- 50:51Speaker 1: And now back to the Sports Job Wayne at.
- 50:56Speaker 23: Center Court on sports Whose Gossip blah blah blah blah.
- 51:24Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Sports Shop. I'm the sports shock
- 51:27Speaker 1: Queen Canny. If you've been listening to the sounds today,
- 51:29Speaker 1: I was going with a little Biggie Junior Mafia, Little
- 51:32Speaker 1: kim Uh. At first, I was gonna go with Versus
- 51:37Speaker 1: for Dead Legends, and I was gonna throw the notorious
- 51:44Speaker 1: b I g up against d M X Jessic where
- 51:51Speaker 1: everybody would go because you know, versus is a big thing.
- 51:55Speaker 1: And I was thinking, man, I was listening to a
- 51:58Speaker 1: little big and I'm thinking, who could go hit for
- 52:01Speaker 1: hit And then came on right out and I was like,
- 52:07Speaker 1: you know that would that is something? Now, look a
- 52:15Speaker 1: look at all you're thinking right now, like, man, that
- 52:17Speaker 1: would delivered to you? That would be something that right.
- 52:23Speaker 1: And I'm not saying that d MX is a better,
- 52:26Speaker 1: you know, lyrical rapper, but I'm talking about this for
- 52:30Speaker 1: it and versus basically about hits, yeah versus you know, Yeah,
- 52:37Speaker 1: I know Biggie was only around a short period of time,
- 52:40Speaker 1: but I'm just saying as far as hits, hits, UH
- 52:43Speaker 1: had a great versus battle right there. Because people usually
- 52:48Speaker 1: always want to put Tupac versus Biggie or Biggie versus Tupac.
- 52:52Speaker 1: I had through d MX in there as someone that
- 52:55Speaker 1: would add a little flavor to it X versus everybody.
- 52:59Speaker 1: There's Paul HBCU Classic here in Atlanta over in College
- 53:06Speaker 1: Park Gateway Center Arena. That's where the Dream Plate is
- 53:12Speaker 1: going on today and tomorrow. For you basketball junkies, they
- 53:20Speaker 1: have Graamlin. I don't know all these symbols. Howard Jackson State.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Let's see who else I can tell more House like Clark,
- 53:36Speaker 1: I gonna make sure don't have anybody wrong. I didn't
- 53:40Speaker 1: go to HBCU, so I don't know the little symbol everybody,
- 53:43Speaker 1: but let me get it Clark, Lincoln University, Moorhouseville State,
- 53:50Speaker 1: Jackson State, Hampton University, Gramlin State, and Norfolk State University.
- 53:57Speaker 1: That's where Mike Vicki is coaching football this year? Is
- 54:05Speaker 1: Mo Williams. Is he at Jackson Jackson State? Yes? Yes,
- 54:08Speaker 1: yeah Williams he was. He was at Alabama State, yes, right,
- 54:11Speaker 1: and now he's over at Jackson State. So that is
- 54:15Speaker 1: Today's games start at ten am over at the Gateway
- 54:19Speaker 1: Center Arena. Today and tomorrow, all these games are on tap.
- 54:26Speaker 1: So Chris Paul and his love and charity that he
- 54:31Speaker 1: has offered to HBCUs throughout his twenty year career, and
- 54:36Speaker 1: I think all that was stemming from I think he
- 54:39Speaker 1: grew up wanting to go to an HBCU, but talents
- 54:43Speaker 1: pushed him over to Wake Forest where he only stayed
- 54:46Speaker 1: two years. Right, he was only there two years, So
- 54:49Speaker 1: that is the HBCU.
- 54:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I wanted to do four. I wanted to do
- 54:54Speaker 6: four but talents push me ontil you was going to
- 54:58Speaker 6: stay the whole fo. Yeah, but you know, talent pushman onto.
- 55:02Speaker 6: That was before the n I L if I came through.
- 55:05Speaker 6: An n I L I might have been option I
- 55:08Speaker 6: might have still.
- 55:09Speaker 1: You know, that's the Chris Paul HBCU tournament over and
- 55:15Speaker 1: that's it sounds like a great tournament. Uh that Chris
- 55:18Speaker 1: Paul is starting. I wonder if it's it's gonna probably
- 55:20Speaker 1: be annually. Here a nice arena that would fit.
- 55:27Speaker 6: That would that would give some excitement to that demographic
- 55:31Speaker 6: because it probably wouldn't fill.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Up the not probably it wouldn't. Uh State Farm Marine would. Yeah,
- 55:40Speaker 1: that's not a knock on it. No, it's not. It's
- 55:42Speaker 1: not so many So for the HPC, I know a
- 55:45Speaker 1: lot of our lawyer listeners when it's not a put
- 55:49Speaker 1: down at all. There's a lot of teams, especially on
- 55:53Speaker 1: the football level, that are playing in stadium where they're
- 55:57Speaker 1: losing the fan pneumonium because the areas and the arenas
- 56:03Speaker 1: they're playing in big are too big, way too big.
- 56:07Speaker 1: It's just too big. When you go down here State
- 56:12Speaker 1: Farm and you go in, you want it to look
- 56:14Speaker 1: you want it to look like a movie set. It's
- 56:18Speaker 1: better to have seventy five hundred seats fully full than
- 56:22Speaker 1: to be in a place that holds twenty thousand people
- 56:25Speaker 1: and only have forty five hundred. It looks like nobody
- 56:29Speaker 1: is in there. You want that look, you want that energy,
- 56:34Speaker 1: you want that crowd. Georgia State, they took over the
- 56:38Speaker 1: old Brave Stadium and you go in there even last
- 56:42Speaker 1: night to have that game more in a smaller and
- 56:45Speaker 1: I know the kids love it. It's a great venue.
- 56:48Speaker 1: It's something that the young high school kids, that's what
- 56:52Speaker 1: they dream of doing. So don't take it away. But
- 56:54Speaker 1: trust me, when you can get all those people compressed,
- 56:57Speaker 1: the noise, the excitement to that just you know. So
- 57:01Speaker 1: when I said that, I know the Gateway holds about
- 57:04Speaker 1: seven thousand maybe over there, and you can fill that
- 57:08Speaker 1: up and have it like that because you want the energy,
- 57:12Speaker 1: you want the crowd and to be just a few
- 57:15Speaker 1: people look like they're sprinkled when the camera pay over
- 57:18Speaker 1: and you think, man, ain't nobody turned out, But a
- 57:20Speaker 1: lot of people did, and just this venue is just
- 57:23Speaker 1: too big.
- 57:24Speaker 7: Can make a suggestion to Chris Pauls if they do
- 57:28Speaker 7: it next year, do it the weekend of the Celebration Bowl.
- 57:31Speaker 7: So you have when you have those fans in for
- 57:34Speaker 7: the HBCU that'll give them something else that if you
- 57:36Speaker 7: started on Thursday Friday and then what's the Celebration Bowl,
- 57:41Speaker 7: the one don didn't win.
- 57:44Speaker 1: We'll be back. He knew you to remember that. Yeah,
- 57:50Speaker 1: that Bowl. I didn't even know they had that anymore.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Since you know, they feel like Prime invented, State came
- 57:57Speaker 1: back from twenty one to twenty and it's something that
- 57:59Speaker 1: Prime No, no, no, no, no, Celebration Ball been here.
- 58:02Speaker 7: Prime is going on before now Prime HBC because he
- 58:09Speaker 7: is swacked twin. You know, I'm at twin Jared, you know,
- 58:12Speaker 7: at the Howard game ninety.
- 58:14Speaker 1: So we'll be back with more the Sports Shocks Show
- 58:17Speaker 1: right after this.
- 58:19Speaker 10: Exactly keep trying.
- 58:21Speaker 21: Only takes this one phone pull to my creeping like
- 58:25Speaker 21: a sn track from Jet sits.
- 58:27Speaker 10: In said, they don't y'alls in the book with the.
- 58:32Speaker 9: Don't Go awayne board of the Sports Jock Show with
- 58:35Speaker 9: Wayne gam videos coming up next.
- 58:38Speaker 28: I ever tried balancing a dozen eggs in one hand
- 58:40Speaker 28: while hopping on one foot, or maybe juggling cats while
- 58:43Speaker 28: riding the unicycle. Sounds ridiculous, right, But guess what, that's
- 58:48Speaker 28: exactly what texting while driving is like. Your human brain
- 58:51Speaker 28: only has the capacity to focus on one thing at
- 58:53Speaker 28: a time. So when you're behind the wheel GIP driving
- 58:56Speaker 28: your undivided.
- 58:57Speaker 10: Attention, don't drive distracted.
- 58:59Speaker 12: The message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic
- 59:02Speaker 12: Safety Administration, Project yellow Light and the AD Council.
- 59:09Speaker 22: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 59:11Speaker 22: took lightly, but with everything going on, I really wanted
- 59:14Speaker 22: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 59:17Speaker 22: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own
- 59:19Speaker 22: home too.
- 59:20Speaker 21: Meaware, are your napkins not that drawer unless anyone needs
- 59:26Speaker 21: a gun.
- 59:29Speaker 22: Now, I always locked my gun to keep everyone safe.
- 59:32Speaker 22: Visit infamilyfire dot org to learn how to store your
- 59:35Speaker 22: guns more securely. Brought to you by Brady and the

- 59:42Speaker 1: Enough us enough, I saw, and we hold the world
- 59:48Speaker 1: ransom for excuse me while I whipped this house.
- 59:52Speaker 3: Sure broadcasting live and it led to Georgia. This is
- 59:58Speaker 3: the sports sho wing.
- 1:00:02Speaker 10: You come so far? Comes that comes to mind?
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Is it just.
- 1:00:16Speaker 18: I'm up do?
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way You Mada. Welcome
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: back to the sport Shock Sham, the Sport Shock, Wayne Candy,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Good morning out there and listening. Land. Glad to be
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: here with you this morning. The Bad Producer, Big Kenny
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Comanci Gregg in the building. A week away from Christmas,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Bowl season is upon us. UH college football. I still
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: don't know what was the Heisman Trophy winner name the
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: freshman from Mendozadando Mendoza, Fernando mendo Did any of you
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: see him intentionally tune in to watch Fernando Mendoza. I
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: did not watch one second of Indiana football, Big Kenny,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: no Bad producer, watched the half of them when they
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: played Ohio State. Okay, so none of us actually know whether.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: We can't even say he doesn't deserve it in a sense.
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: Right, I saw the highlights, but his name was up
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: there all year as far as like he was demand.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: So just like they're on the best team. I mean,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: just the fact that he had talking about I don't
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: know if his name could have been up there the
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: whole season. It was, it was mentioned a lot in
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: the last what six weeks, as far as that's not
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: the whole season as a rankings, so that his name
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: came up.
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: Yeah, if he's a freshman, then I think he's a Yeah,
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: I think he's a senior.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Mendoza.
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, because a lot of people are talking about
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: they're going to trade, like they're talking about Cleveland. They're
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: talking about Cleveland may make a trade to try to
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: draft him or the Jets one of.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: Those red shirt junior because he started out at Cal
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: and then transferred to Indiana.
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: Yeah, and there's a big he's probably like that. There's
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: the number one pick even before he won. First quarterback
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: not number one pickople first quarterback to be chosen.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Okay, let's see Fernando Mendoza coming the first winner in
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: program history. Okay, previously played at Cal last as a junior. Okay,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: got you. And I'm proving like, well, he was red
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: shirted in tweeny twenty two, Okay, moved around. Now he's
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: a Heisman Trophy winner. You just trying to get it all, well,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: anymous and I think that may I don't know a
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: player on Indiana, well, and that may be what people's defense.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: And I went to Indiana that played in the NFL,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: and this is the first year Indiana has ever done
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: this kind of winning and that's would be people's defense
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: of NIL is I was able to go and get
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: somebody without them being restricted and being somewhere they didn't
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: want to be, and they came to Indiana and made
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: it a program that it had never been before. He
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: became a Heisman Trophy winner because we were willing to
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: give him the shot that this other school Cal wouldn't
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: give him. And so the NIL works, doesn't it. That's
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: what well I'm telling you, and I don't understand why
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: we just don't make.
- 1:03:37Speaker 10: It pro ball.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Yeah, pro bowl, but pro ball has too many restrictions.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: You couldn't do what they do in pro ball. We're
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: just fumbling around trying to figure out how to not
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: do it. But it's it's actually worse because every year
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: you can leave. There is no kind of truth contract.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: It's one year deals. As long as I'm willing to
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: give the money back, I can leave.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: But another another indication of why it's becoming more like
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: pro ball and they're trying to keep the illusion of
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: amateur amateurism. There are players who are finalizing deals to
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: return to their school. That's that's like terminology. We don't
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: hear in the college level that.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Because if at the year you get to be reevaluated
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: by the school as well. So I came here, I
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: gave you, say, one hundred thousand dollars to come. You
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: can well, for what we've seen, we're only going to
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: offer you fifty this year, So leave, don't leave it.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: That's our offer to you. And that's probable that no
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: deal has been finalized and there's no deal to to
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: attack for Leo has been demoted, And from what I
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: can imagine, this has a lot of different layers to it.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: You have to imagine as we started to show off
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: talking about some of you unaware that your team has
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: been eliminated. So don't read as much as you can
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: kind of imagine into this. But because with the Dolphins eliminated,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: could this just be a move it well, excuse me,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: it could be several moves. It can be a move
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: to make sure he doesn't get hurt, so if I
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: do want to trade him, it can be a move
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: that since we're not in the playoffs, ain't no need
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: of letting the Patrick mahomes happen to him. And you
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: gotta be fragile. He's super fragile, and I need some
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: kind of headline to put over that because if I
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: just don't play him, then I end up in a
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: situation of low management. People would be criticizing that as well.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: So right now I'm not sure which way the Dolphins
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: could be leaning in this situation. I do know that Tua,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: just like I said with Bryce Young, they're small. They're
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: like the smallest quarterbacks I've seen. Uh. They do not
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: have the capable arm like a Mike Vick. So Mike
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Vick was small, but he had the arm like he
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: was a four hundred pound man. That's not what they possess.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: He had the speed of Hermes. When Hermes the god.
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: Of speed, I'm sure, yeah, yeah, he was the delivery dude,
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: Wasn't he.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Was it Hermes or Sprite? Sprite is named after Hermes.
- 1:06:52Speaker 6: Is Yeah, Hermes was the because at the what's the
- 1:07:00Speaker 6: strong one, not the Hercules.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Hercules Hercules. So but but those guys are not fast
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: and not strong. They're kind of we will see because
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: the thing that we do know, you do have a
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: you do need a Tyreek hill. You do need guys
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: that can get explosive plays to go along if you
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: have a tour. Because of the style of play that
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: they bring to the field. So it'll be interesting to
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: see in this off season and it'll be a lot
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: of takers. So they're put this a move to get
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: off of that salary, those four or five desperate teams
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: out there to think they can reinvent, you know, without
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: having to go back into the draft. Maybe didn't you know,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Mike McDaniel just wasn't using him right, So what was it?
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: So what is the final label that they're putting on
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: reason why he's not playing? Uh, they just demoted him,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: said he didn't have a good game against the Stellers.
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: But the Stiller guy, I think that would be good
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: because you know, it's not an injury. So it looks
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: good on his car on his facts, on his as
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: you say, a car fax, but on his football facts
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: don't have another injury on there. So then you think
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: about the other teams that what about them to want
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: to shut that quarterbacks down? Don't want the fourteen I
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: mean you said we eliminated already out of the thirty
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: two fourteen teams, it's about fourteen, so whatever they want
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: to shut down the rest of their quarterbacks.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: So I mean the motor mark, Well, I'm just dealing
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: with two. I'm quite sure Patrick Mahomes they're out, but
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: he's injured. You know, your quarterback is Pennix Is who's
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: supposed to be the franchise, so he's already out. That
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Kenny is in quarterback search, he'll be one of those
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: desperate teams that might try to go trade for a tour.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: The Cowboys are already set, so uh, they're still around.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: So it's nobody is going to be upset if you
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: shut your quarterback down with a game left. So if
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: they lose this week and find themselves out, they don't
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: need a reason to shut that down. But with three
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: games left the Dolphins, a lot of people would try
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: to cretit, almost like the NBA where I paid this
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: ticket price to see somebody and and you're just not.
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: Playing it just because you want to save money. So
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: and the sports jack, Uh, we were right. Hermis was
- 1:09:43Speaker 6: the he was right, he was. I said he was
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: the messenger. He was speculating. I said he was the messenger.
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: Hermians was the swift footed messenger. So okay, week he's
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: speaking French.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: As go to break one question, command you Greg Big.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Kenny was discussing discussing earlier this morning. How long does
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: it take you to wake up? We've talked about this
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: a couple of years ago. How long, at this point
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: in your life does it take you to feel like
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: you're up command you? Greg? I think if I remember,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: said about four hours Kenny. And you know Kenny, I
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: love the way he can talk himself into a lot
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: of stuff. At his old age, he says, as soon
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: as he opens his eyes, he's up still today like
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: he's in first grade. I really, it takes me like
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: an hour, an hour from when I actually hit the ground,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Give me an hour. I'm fully engaged.
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: My wife and I laugh at how she says to me, like,
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: how is it that when the instant you wake up,
- 1:10:58Speaker 6: you're ready to interact and engage and all of that.
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: And I, you know, I don't even want to talk
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: to people for a while when I wake up, but
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: you're instantly ready to communicate.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: And and I don't know, what do you think I'm ready? Oh? Wait,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: oh okay, you liken your eyes open. Yeah, I'm ready.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: That's what they say. When there's no sluggishness, there's no
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: after my after I brushed my teeth. I don't give
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Some people say, wow, I gotta get this coffee. Nah,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: you ever talk and let me get this coffee. I mean,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: and I'll be ready, so instant and ready alive. Now
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: now this is the thing. I'm four, I'm instantly ready
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: to interact. But based on the stimulus determines the mood.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: So yeah, we'll be back more to Sports Shock Show
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: right after this crazy angel dunk what's my mother?
- 1:11:52Speaker 25: Come?

- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Life insurance.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: piece of financial security. Yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: have life insurance.
- 1:13:57Speaker 30: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:13:59Speaker 30: just getting started with our family and thought we live forever.
- 1:14:01Speaker 30: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind. What
- 1:14:04Speaker 30: about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When
- 1:14:07Speaker 30: I was forty, with a kid in college and bills
- 1:14:09Speaker 30: piling up, I was worried how my family will survive
- 1:14:11Speaker 30: without me. That's why I'm made an appointment with the
- 1:14:13Speaker 30: insurance informants.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:14:19Speaker 30: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:14:22Speaker 30: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: two options, benefits or bills? Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: Log on today benefits or bills dot Com? That's benefits
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: or bills dot com.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job. Wayne Gandy does

- 1:15:03Speaker 1: we sip Champagne when we thurstayed camp right. I like
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: the life I lived with neative the positive Nnis song
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: and if you don't know, now you know you know,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: you know, Welcome back to this wor Shop show. I'm
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: this Worshops win Candy, good morning. Tell you before we
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: get around to the birthdays. Something I saw over the
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: last couple of days the Dennis Rodman movie They're gonna
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: finally make it forty eight hours in Vegas, about when
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: he left for Vegas doing that championship run the story
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: because they had to replace Jonathan Major or they decided
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: with one of the stars from Atlanta and he's been
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: in different stuff. La Keith Stanfield will now be Dennis Rodman.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: But when they said Johnathan Major, because I didn't know
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: he was up for it. Uh, he does look more.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: He doesn't have the height, but he does. His face
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: is more like a rod Mother one does. Uh yeah,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: I know, la Keith doesn't look anything like Rodman. He
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: doesn't have the height either.
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: I thought, like I said, like neither neither guy has
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: the height both maybe six feet.
- 1:16:21Speaker 6: And and just I don't know. I didn't know until
- 1:16:27Speaker 6: just this moment that Jonathan Major's was uh considered he
- 1:16:32Speaker 6: was originally a year ago, and but I do think
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: that regardless of the height. But Keith Stanfield has rotmanesque vibe,
- 1:16:42Speaker 6: if that makes sense. Yeah, crazy, he could pull it
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: off once they put the because it's going to take
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: some makeup.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: And I thought about going they could have went and
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: got Blake Griffin. He's a guy who's been in Hollywood, right, Yeah,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: they physical, Yeah, but he's so you can pull it off.
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: He's very he's like very low key guy, like almost
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: two laid back brick Fox.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Just throwing out a couple of names. This is the thing,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: throwing out actors that's been acting, and you know, in
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: different little bit parts he in there.
- 1:17:19Speaker 6: And in the way that they shoot things. Now, I
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: think Rodman part of his aura was surrounded in his
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: physical build. Like Blake Griffin's too bulky to be a Rodman.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Uh la.
- 1:17:35Speaker 6: Keith Stansfield slight enough to kind of pull that off.
- 1:17:39Speaker 6: Like the war Well you're talking about the Blake that played.
- 1:17:42Speaker 6: I see him on the commercials all the time. He's
- 1:17:44Speaker 6: a lot to drop a little weight. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: and Blake hadn't played.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: In what the same height. It has been about two
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: three years since he's played be a little easier on
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: doing some of the moves if that's going to be
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: part of it. But uh, that's who they're going to
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: go with. The Keith stand Field who playing Carmel Electro.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Haven't cast the rest of it yet.
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: Oh, it's been a development for like four or five
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: years of how they Was.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: She with him then, yeah, when that's one of that
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Was she in Vegas with him? Yeah, that was.
- 1:18:14Speaker 7: A part of the if I remember, that was part
- 1:18:16Speaker 7: of the story that she was there, she went out
- 1:18:18Speaker 7: to Vegas.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Well, maybe they'll get her to play it because she's
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: why not? Yeah? Why not? Why not in a while though,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: so she might be ready there ready bad producer. I
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: don't think I look at a movie to make sure
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: that the person is. I mean, she's who she is.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: But to go back like thirty years to play that
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: parst half a while. They keep missing the mark with
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Pamla Lee Anderson, Like, why wouldn't you just go get
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Pam Anderson to play Pam Anderson? Yeah, I.
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: Guess we're talking about like the timing of it all.
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: I'm talking about the timing as far as the look of.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: U AI. Yeah, this is cgi you make, you make time,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: you make Samuel l and half the movies.
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: He looked twenty years younger. Gig, he's getting my wig, thought.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: Pamela, But give her the wig she was wearing back then.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: All these filters they use on all these instagrams. You're
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: saying that Hollywood can't do that in a movie.
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: They're gonna say it costs money, it costs too much
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: to do with CGI and AI.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: It'd be great to see camera and lecture playing camera lecture.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: You could have got the worm to play the worm.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: He was an actor. He has been in several movies,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: especially the part where you show him before the movie
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: as him and after at him.
- 1:19:52Speaker 4: Yeah, why they did that with the TV movie they
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: made about Dennis Rodman.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: A couple of birthdays here today, going into the weekend.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: Billy Eilish is twenty four years old. The Brad Pitt
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: is sixty two. I saw that Formula one movie. I'm
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: surprised that Selvesti Stalone didn't sue them. Basically, step Savestis
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: alone made that movie about ten years ago. The f
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: one movie, I forget the name the one he made,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: but it was called Drive. I think that's my name
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: of Brad Pitt totally the same movie. Y'all just rearranged
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: and made put the young British actor in here. Damnse's injuries.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: That was it. Cea is fifty, Christina Aguilarra forty five,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: Stone Cole Steve Austin is sixty one, Jaydon Daniels twenty five,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: Katie Holmes forty seven. Keith Richards woke up to day surprised.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: He's eighty two, really quick.
- 1:20:53Speaker 6: They said that he didn't. They were no, he is
- 1:20:55Speaker 6: eighty two and he didn't wake up. I'm guessing he
- 1:20:58Speaker 6: woke up surprised. If he propped, he never went to sleep.
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: Keep Richard, but Rolling Stones were going to do a
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: European tour and it has been postponed or canceled because
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: Keith Richard said he didn't want the responsibility of having
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: to do all that going to work and stuff.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Eighty two years old. WWE former wrestler Tris Stratus is fifty.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Jake Killenhall is forty five. I just thought about they
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: got Michael Jackson's nephew to play him in the upcoming
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: Jackson movie. Makes sense. I read that. I think one
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: of his brother, Keto's is Tremaine's son, Oh, Jermaine's son.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: They have him playing his uncle, just throwing it. It
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: just clicked in my mind. I was trying to think
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: of somebody who's playing a family member. Jake Gillen Hall
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: forty five, Alissa Milano fifty three. Always and she's been
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: in so many great, great actresses, but she's always flash
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: dance to me. Jennifer Bills is sixty two. Buffy the
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Vampire Slayer, the original one is fifty six years old.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: Christy Swanson, Christy Swanson, Jonah Heell is forty two. Kevin
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: McHale is sixty eight. More Williams. We talked about him
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: being the hit basketball coach at Jackson State forty three,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: the Hall of Famer from the Vikings. Random McDaniels is
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: sixty one. And our man who also woke up today, Surprise.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: Warren Sapp's fifty three years old, woke up, surprise, woke
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: up at Keith Richard's house. Might be shot like kay, hey, yeah,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: bet happy, but they may Big Kenny were going to
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: break and before we go to break a little work
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: here on holiday weekend.
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: Holiday weekend, I'm gonna have to go with tris stratus okay, okay,

- 1:26:16Speaker 10: Off, find the stead to make you feels, jump them

- 1:26:21Speaker 1: Tat you writing out. Welcome back to this spoy shock shot.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: I'm in this spot shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: you out there and listening land once again. I'm on
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: my campaign. Stop following Bill Belichick around. I get it.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: We know the age difference, but it's not really any
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: kind of story. Y'all are just trying to make a store.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: We get it. Whoever is the editor or whoever is
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: the head chief and a lot of these media outlets.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: Some of you must have a problem with the age difference.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: There are people that are attracted to the granddaddy, the grandmother,
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: the older man, and who's attracted to his legal long
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: as his legal age. We get it, we heard you
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: months ago. But you're not actually reporting on anything other
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: than Bill Belichick, who's seventy two has like a twenty
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: five twenty six year old girlfriend from what you know,
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: and you just are following him around. They're not doing
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: anything interesting. You're taking pictures of them riding bikes, and
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: you know that's about all of the exercise Bill is
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: gonna get.
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: But this is not how the greatest coach, arguably in
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: the history of American football, is supposed to be.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: He who told you that because Bill didn't in them
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: little short press conferences he ever had, Bill would think
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: about the game. I thought Tom should have threw the ball.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: Oh he was thinking? Is I can't write? What do
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: you think about? I can't wait to ride my bike
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: with a young chick. I don't know. He's not he's
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: not he's not being unfaithful to his wife. Doesn't have
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: why this young lady ain't married married or you know,
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: there's no scandal This is not even what we the
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: people TJ. Holmes and the lady that was on America. Yeah,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: at least those people were like both married, And this
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: is just you don't like that there's a forty year
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: age difference and you're following people that are not really
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: doing anything that I've seen. It's that interesting.
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: I just say, he's he's being expected to live a
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: certain way because of what he's done.
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: But he never That's what I'm saying. But which coach?
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: Which coach? Are you deciding to hold Bill Belichick too?
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: He never gave you that he was something like a
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: Tom Landry never. I literally cut the sleeves off this
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: tweatshirt myself.
- 1:29:01Speaker 6: Seen him wear a suit whitch scissors I bought at
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: the pharmacy.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: He's the anti Dion when it comes to that Dion,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: yad there clean and and precise. I know some of
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: y'all keep trying to order that stuff d On. That
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: stuff is tailored. He's taking the same thing that you're
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: buying at the store, and he's going to get that's
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: d That's him. He would do that when he played.
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: That's why he looked different in his jersey. You're sitting
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: there trying to order that jersey. No Dion would go
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: and however he saw it that year, he would go
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: and get it tailored to him. So you're looking for
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: the big sleeve, but the tight body he made it
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: that way you can go get your jersey. I wore
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: a tight jersey. So if you're if you look that
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: sixty eight it was I didn't want you to be
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: able to grab me. They don't say know that jersey,
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: So I cut the sleeves. They would put the little
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: band on it. I don't want it's so it's so tight.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: Two people got to pull me in it because I
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: don't want the dline to have anything to grab. But
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: Bill Belichick is the anti. It's like he grabs something
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: from the dirty bend on the way out to the field. Hey,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: who's day build the games? Who starts? No gear? Hey?
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: Whose hoody is anybody? Who's anybody's hoodie? Nobody I'm gonna
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: wear it. I'm just telling you, guys, I'm aware anohing
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: he was official. I mean, he's never went into any vein.
- 1:30:41Speaker 7: And why can't he just do what he do in
- 1:30:43Speaker 7: Chapel Hill, North Carolina? Just ride his bike in that
- 1:30:46Speaker 7: nice little town college town and just.
- 1:30:48Speaker 4: Really just whatever image. People have a certain image of
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: what the coach is supposed to be. And that's what
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: I asked you. Which coach? Yeah, because one one, for example,
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: is Jim Harball. He's all about football. He he lives
- 1:31:05Speaker 4: this all American supposed life. He drinks warm milk before
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: going to bed.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: And Uh, you're talking about this, this version of Jim Harball. Yeah,
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: as a as a coach, as a player, but as
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: a not when he was smoking we with hey, with
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: Jim man. Hey, that's a legge. We're talking about coach. Okay,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: not when he was smoking with Jim trying to get quarterback.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: Not the quarter quarterback coach. You're talking about somebody else. Hey, No,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: I'm saying that when you become a coach, your lungs
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: clear up. It's not our loyal listeners online, they're big.
- 1:31:45Speaker 6: Our low alongline listeners. From the top of the last hour,
- 1:31:47Speaker 6: we got Elder Casey saying peace and blessings. When we
- 1:31:50Speaker 6: were talking about uh, can't trade teams? Uh bad producer's
- 1:31:55Speaker 6: best friend are New York Raiders fan said that we
- 1:31:59Speaker 6: can pick new teams.
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: He said, Kenny, make sure you say that, Kenny.
- 1:32:03Speaker 6: We can pick two new teams together hashtag abusive relationships.
- 1:32:07Speaker 6: So we ought to be able to go to a
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: safe No.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: Oh, he disagreeing with me. Yeah, we ought to be
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: able to go to a safe place. So hold on,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: maybe I should have done that. Who disagrees that you can?
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: Obviously Charlie does too, because I agree with you. Can't
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: change now, Uncle Charlie says, Kenny, you got a fallback.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: Remember home the Bears. So, uh, it's already in the works.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: I told you we hold on. Were you a Bear? Yes,
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: I was born a Bears fan, and I know what
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: I'm saying. And you chose the Bear, Yes, well chose
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: the Jets. Chose So when it was your choice, you
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: chose to Jets, and you're a Jet fan, but you
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: from Chicago pimp choice, like it's like going to get
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: baptized when you're eight, that's your mom, that's not you, right,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: even when you're a little older, fourteen fifty, then it's
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: more of that you might have been, But most of
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: the time it's you know, you're just eight and we're
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: gonna get this out the way the devil. So but
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: when you got to choose, it was the Jats. Jets,
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: Jets check. When you got to choose, it was what
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: the Cowboys? The Cowboys when you got to choose, right
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: on atl Okay, So so by next season it'll be
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: back to the Bears. But he choice, choice, choice got
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: tooken out of my life. It became who's writing a check?
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: I became became, actually became the actual player, not the
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: This is not a fantasy. I'm not in a room.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: This is the whole. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: I stayed with the Jets, Ain't writing no checks, ain't
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: winning game. Yeah, you gotta stayttle that what I'm saying.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: Speaking of money, Nick Knight says that, uh, he wouldn't
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: be laid at all because he liked money exactly.
- 1:34:09Speaker 30: Uh.
- 1:34:10Speaker 6: And we also had Uncle Charlie saying that nothing is
- 1:34:14Speaker 6: finding now except for the money. So he also when
- 1:34:18Speaker 6: we're talking about the college and when we talk about colleges,
- 1:34:20Speaker 6: and uh, Nick nice thought it should have been that
- 1:34:23Speaker 6: boy from Texas and beat the game Cocks from Texas
- 1:34:27Speaker 6: A and m is that yeah who won the Hoigh Heisman.
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: Yeah okay. So and then he also says he's with Greg.
- 1:34:35Speaker 6: It takes four hours to wake up which is diabolical
- 1:34:38Speaker 6: to me that four hours it's lunchtime.
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: Now what time? Four hours? Sounds like you took something
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: to try to go to sleep, and see that that's so,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: and it's not. And when you take something to go
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: to something, especially something heavy, to go to sleep to sleep,
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: and you don't actually get a good sleep to sleep
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: it off, then it still holds you. And that's why
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: I can't take talanal pm, even though it's right there
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: on the counter, because you take tylan all PM, you
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: need a solid seven. You don't get but five. You
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: spend the next eight hours of the day trying to
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: wake up for another two. So I just don't even
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: you know, just roll the dice before I take that.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: But with people that are sluggish in the morning and
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: regularly take about two or three hours to wake up,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: I always think maybe that's something to do with your
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: lack of deep sleep, because it takes you so long
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: to get into go mode. For me, when I wake up,
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: I'm I'm out there. The box got you. Dylan Ryola
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: has decided to transfer. He's going to get in the
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: transfer portals from Nebraska, dealing Royolas last year for here
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: for Beuford Beauford High School beat Carrollton. He's going for
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: Dalan Rlas brothers there. His brother Dayton is a senior,
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: so he was part of that championship team. He came
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: here with Dylan. That was kind of the package. Dylan
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: came in here the senior senior year two years ago.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: Dayton came as a sophomore. The deal was once Dylan
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: left that Dayton would get two years to start. He
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: was headed to Nebraska too. He he committed. Their dad
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: played in the league for about fifteen years of offensive lineman,
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: good offensive lineman as well, but all of his centers
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: around that Nebraska fired their uncle. Their uncle was the
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: old line coach down there. So I guess he took
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: his ball.
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: And it made me think that a lot of I've
- 1:36:50Speaker 4: heard a lot of people joke, but it still could
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: happened that he's going to go to He's going to
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: transfer to Texas Tech because he is They call him
- 1:36:59Speaker 4: Timu mahone Homes or or wish dot com Patrick Mahomes
- 1:37:03Speaker 4: because all his mannerisms. He wears fifteen like him, he
- 1:37:06Speaker 4: has a haircut like him, so he may end up
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: at Texas.
- 1:37:10Speaker 7: And then the brothers got a Cup off with an
- 1:37:13Speaker 7: app State and Dayton the little younger brother.
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: No, Dayton is a three star. He was headed Nebraska.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: But who's who's He's not gonna go from Nebraska to
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: app State. Well, that night they made a couple for
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: he's going to power. He's most likely going to follow
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: his brother.
- 1:37:32Speaker 6: Yeah, because it seems like that's there moving almost as
- 1:37:37Speaker 6: a football block.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: We've got. You take us all, you take the offensive
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: line coach and the two quarterback. And if you don't
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: think that brother thing is serious as the Penalcy brothers,
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: as I just said, the Steelers put Marquise Counts Pouncy
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: in the Hall of Fame. They came in the league together,

- 1:37:59Speaker 1: When one of them got ready to retire, Marquise for
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: the Stillers Marie Marcus excuse me, decided he was ready
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: to retire, and Marquees, even though the Stillers still wanted

- 1:38:18Speaker 1: don't think that they don't have a weight. And we'll

- 1:41:01Speaker 1: Log on so you can see sports chant. I'll shing
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: even Jany, Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: the sports Shock Wayne Gandy. A little bit of NBA
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: A news Rockets head coach. You don't coo find twenty
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: five thousand dollars blasting the officials. Some of these coaches
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: are just being their motion. I guess the bag producer
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: okay with giving away to twenty five grand, twenty five
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: but blasted for assaulting. Excuse me blasting the officials, which
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: you know, especially the coach. They don't have to give
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: the coaches no leeway, no waying the player might get
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: a curse word to man. You you can't say for
- 1:41:47Speaker 1: the referees, they were good officiated night No. Twenty five thousand.
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: The Knicks one of the Cup, but they say they
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: will not hang that NBA Cup banner at Madison Square Garden.
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: Kevin Garnett rejoins the Timberwolves in an off court role.
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: I have no idea what defines off court the fifteen
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: time NBA All Star deciding to so it's not it's
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: not coaching, it's not. It says it's a new, all
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: encompassing role involving business, community and fan engagement. Sounds like
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: some kind of ambassador where I just kind of show up.
- 1:42:34Speaker 4: And I feel like what Alonzo Moarning is doing with Miami,
- 1:42:40Speaker 4: all the community events.
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: And similar to the you know in college you sometimes,
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: I know Auburn would have Bo Jackson around, but it's
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: kind of like having the most famous player be involved
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: in meetings and different things like that. Kevin Garnett was
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: having issues with the timber Wolve, which is always interesting
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: because you never know what teams. But Kevin left the Timberwolves.
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: I don't know why you would think the organization would
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: have been happy about that, you know that time. Yeah,
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: they traded it, you know. Yeah, you came in here
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: like you got Kevin Mhell from the Boston Celtics. Hey,
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: I want out of here. Well, we gotta get some fight.
- 1:43:30Speaker 19: Uh.
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: And it looks like maybe Trey Young will be back here.
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: He's been dealing with that knee injury, but he's poised
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: to rejoin the Hawks versus the Hornets. I want to
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: see game is tonight Trey Young, and he says he's
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: anxious to get back three four weeks. He's been out
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: for a while. He's been out so yeah since October. Yeah,
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: he's been out a long time. So Trey Young looks
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: like he's close to coming back. Pooka Nakua of the Rams,
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: speaking of criticizing the refs, said that the NFL refs
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: are the worst. They make calls to get on TV.
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: They're lawyers by day and then they get to be refs.
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: He went on to even talk about how he's sure
- 1:44:18Speaker 1: they probably text their friends after the game. Hey man,
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: you just saw me on TV. But really just going
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: in on the referees. I've asked this a million times
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: of you guys. Do you think players and sports would
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: be better knowing that? Guys? Just like I'm telling you
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: how it is. As a coach, you get a certain
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: leeway in respect if you're a coach who played versus
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: a coach that did not. If the coach did not,
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: then you have to have known. He has to have
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: some credentials of winning. He has to have some credentials.
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: Jim Jim Harball, he was talking about. He comes in
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: as a guy that plays, So there's a respect I
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: have to offer him because you're not just out here
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: green lighting me about how jumping over this bar is
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: going to help me. Whereas someone like a Bill Belichick,
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: he comes in with the Super Bowls but when you
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: when you're absent of that and you walk in a
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: room and they say, oh, you got a new head,
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: old line coach, and he's like, well, who is he?
- 1:45:34Speaker 27: Oh?
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: He was an assistant at app State. What he has
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: to win me over? He has no credentials, But you
- 1:45:48Speaker 1: tell me that, Oh no, he's like daydon Ryola's dad.
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: Oh okay, then I can converse with him. So I'm
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: asking you that in the officiating capacity, if a Rod
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: is calling ball and strikes, if if I think it
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: would give far more credibility and uh, if Michael Jordan
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: is calling foul or somebody, you know, yeah, it would
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: give me confidence in your call. But how many of
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: those guys are willing to do that? Yeah, because I
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: think a lot. I think the coaching roll the guys
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: getting into coaching coaching wasn't always something that was a
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: window that was completely open.
- 1:46:39Speaker 6: Because now that you bring it up about the pookah
- 1:46:45Speaker 6: Nicoua going off on the refs, if Isaac Bruce was
- 1:46:49Speaker 6: the one calling that, I don't think that those would
- 1:46:52Speaker 6: be issues. But then I've seen one of the things
- 1:46:55Speaker 6: that we have said when it comes to people having
- 1:46:57Speaker 6: discrepancy with calls is. Yeah, it's easy to say that
- 1:47:00Speaker 6: because you're sitting back watching it in slow motion from
- 1:47:04Speaker 6: a pylon cam. I've seen over the last week of
- 1:47:07Speaker 6: football competition with the bowl games and professional at all levels,
- 1:47:11Speaker 6: high school one of the games you call high school,
- 1:47:14Speaker 6: professional and college where even with the advent of that technology,
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: the ref got the call wrong with the.
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: Well, I'm not talking about wrong or right. I'm talking
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: about the confidence as a player. Yeah, that whatever was
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: going from whatever was for play, Yeah, whatever was going down,
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: you didn't see it that way. You would, you would
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: remove the their lawyers in the day comment bad producer,
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: you're over there making the ugly face. No, I'm not
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: making I'm just listening.
- 1:47:45Speaker 7: Because you have some players that possibly could officiate, and
- 1:47:51Speaker 7: then you have some players like Michael Jordan or or
- 1:47:54Speaker 7: Lebron there there there's they couldn't they wouldn't be able
- 1:47:57Speaker 7: to do.
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: Don't know that. Don't don't put that label on guys
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: of what the road. That's the whole thing about us
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: being able to be coaches if you open up the opportunity.
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: You didn't see prime time twenty five years running a program.
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: Somebody gave him a chance. Now you're his biggest fan
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: of doing it and advocate for other peoples to other
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: people to be a fan of his as well. We'll
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: be back with more than sports Jock Show right after this.
- 1:48:41Speaker 9: Don't Go awayne Board of the Sports John Hill with
- 1:48:44Speaker 9: Wayne Gandia is coming up next.
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: When I smoke with I get lost in the music.
- 1:48:52Speaker 23: I'd like to isolate each instrument, the rhythmic bass, the
- 1:48:57Speaker 23: harmonies on the piano, sticky melody.
- 1:49:02Speaker 14: Thank hey, careful bad there's someone crossing the streets.
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: Sorry, I didn't see them there. If you feel different,
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: you drive different. Don't drive high. It's dangerous and illegal everywhere.
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: A message from NITZA and the AD Council.
- 1:49:19Speaker 32: Nobody had to tell your grandparents not to drive all
- 1:49:22Speaker 32: using their typewriters, Why should it be any different for
- 1:49:26Speaker 32: us kids and our cell phones. Distracted driving was the
- 1:49:29Speaker 32: cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty twenty two.
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: Come on, we're smarter than this. Let's put down the
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: phones and focus on the roads.
- 1:49:38Speaker 10: Drive safe, everybody, don't drive distracted.
- 1:49:42Speaker 32: A message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic
- 1:49:44Speaker 32: Safety Administration, Project yellow Light and the AD Council.
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy, it's
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: time for to school board.
- 1:49:58Speaker 23: Can we put a spin on light and sports and
- 1:50:01Speaker 23: how they intermingled on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: The welcome back to this boy Shop show. I'm in
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: the sport shop, Wayne can the interesting subject I'm quite
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: sure to come up again. Just someone you know in
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: the industry. I just feel like me, uh, any of
- 1:50:27Speaker 1: us we had I know we've had this several times.
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: Several times. Bernie Mack, if he was alive, giving advice
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: to Big Kenny, to me, would have a little more
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: attention grabbing than.
- 1:50:41Speaker 6: Than the guy who came out of the audiences and says, hey, man,
- 1:50:44Speaker 6: you mind if I give you a few pointers.
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: I've had that happen. Kid Capri giving or evaluating commands
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: you Greg VJ Sing evaluating the golf game of the
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: bad producer just seem to be something different, Yeah, than
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: the dude that's cleaning the golf balls. If I go
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: into Navy seal training, I would imagine that the guy
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: that's training me seeing comeback. He's been on a mission.
- 1:51:18Speaker 1: Yeah right, yeah, yeah. You have to have at least
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: exactly exactly you have dropped in the Bagdad at three
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: point fifteen am. Right, yeah, and really, haven't we all
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: dropped just jumped in a parachute? Yeah yeah, with no
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: night vision? No, no you haven't. No, you haven't done that.
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: So how you gonna tell me? You say, you say,
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: use a helicopter. Now, So that's all I'm saying when
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: it comes to a referee, And now that's why I said,
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: I'm not even talking about that they have to be
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: some kind of Hall of famer, right, I'm saying, when
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: you know, the criteria for this job has to be
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: that this person has some type.
- 1:52:00Speaker 33: And now are you suggesting for background now to grab
- 1:52:05Speaker 33: you to have a little in the statement he's saying,
- 1:52:08Speaker 33: he's sitting here telling you that y'all are lawyers by day.
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: Right now, let me ask you this. Do you think
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: that it would be necessary for it to be sports
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: discipline specific? So no, it could just maybe be sports.
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: It would be great for it to be football for football,
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: basketball for fasketball. But I'm just saying the discipline of
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: it for you to be out here calling what's holding
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: and what's not holding? And you've never held, right, You've
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: never held and I know we've never been held. You know,
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: I know We're the Stephen A. Smith generation where we
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: gave where we gave him the keys to the car
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: to be able to evaluate people without actually ever doing
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: any of that, any of it at the level that
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: the people that he is actually criticized. What Charles Barkley,
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: Magic Johnson and those guys I'm talking about even what
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: a Stephen Jackson or I don't care if a knucklehead
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: or not, Kenny deje all of them. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: Matt Barnes, I don't care if you'r a knucklehead or not.
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: Matt Barnes could ball. He would know more than some
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: guy who interviewed three GM's for an opinion, who just
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: know who went to school for writing or language or
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: and knows how to put a sentence together to convince
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: you that surely I could run a basket. You know
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: how to run that slint right? See how he pulled
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: up on that slint route the din package he's in
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: the two three cover split. It's one of those things
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: people will be like, man, why don't you when I
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: call games? You get It's like, I don't sit there.
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: I always laugh when I hear guys And that's just
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: their training. They're in a zero blitz and the average
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: persons they're sitting there googling it. But they're bringing pressure. Man,
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: they're they're man the man, They're they're bringing press. You
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: bore me up and come out there and in some
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: kind of three zones. But who knows what that is?
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: Borders coverage madness.
- 1:54:26Speaker 6: Tom Brady in his commentary does a lot of specific
- 1:54:30Speaker 6: language explanation. Yeah, they call that the hook cover sprint
- 1:54:35Speaker 6: and then he kind of says it as it's happening,
- 1:54:40Speaker 6: and maybe the visuals help you more, but it's it's
- 1:54:44Speaker 6: very inside language.
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: Whereas the great John Madden, Yeah, boom, he's a seal
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: and he right, get a seal and then boom that
- 1:55:01Speaker 1: boom he's gone, and like man, that is what happened.
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: They got a seal, a seal, ali and a boom,
- 1:55:09Speaker 1: and you're sitting there like man, And that is how
- 1:55:12Speaker 1: you try to keep it as though the least fan
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: that you're talking to can understand. Offering that they're in
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: quarter coverage takes that. I got to explain what quarter
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: coverage is. Explain it to me, like I don't know
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: what I'm doing exactly. So just an interesting thing right there.
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: What else do we have here before we go? Man,
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: that's a great fun week reporting on sports. I'm glad
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: I'm not horse. We talked about Patrick Mahomes a cl
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: Michael Parson a C l as well injury. Joe Burrow.
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: I was asking about his future in bingals. He says,
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: you know, you never know. I don't know what that
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: means by Hollywood Joe, but you never know. It means
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: he wants to be traded. He does. I mean it
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: means I might go take your doors job. That's what
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: it means. I just might move across the street. I
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: just never know with this game of what might happen
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: is Joe Burrows, which you know it's hard. They did
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: get the Higgins, T Higgins and Jamar Chase. He has
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: the receivers. I think sometimes, just like with Patrick Mahomes,
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: you have to hope that by paying those specific positions
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: that the guys I draft or the middle I can
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: get some of these middle of the road guys the
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: line to hold up because I don't have any money
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: to get the best four lineman. I got enough money
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: after paying you, I got enough money to get one
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: of the top one at the top two of the average,
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: and then just two guys we're hoping to hold on
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: up front to get us through this, because why you
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: got all the money. Yeah, and the money that you
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: let drop out of your pocket went to Jamar Chase,
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: and then he decided to give t Higgins just a
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: little loan off of that, and he wanted money back
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: to and then Trey Henderson over here telling y'all gotta
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: let me go. Y'all ain't got no money, and were
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: holding him on the franchise tag over upset, so he
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: barely played. He barely want to give any effort out here,
- 1:57:22Speaker 1: and you sitting there trying to figure out what happened
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: to the team. That's what happened to the Kansas City
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: Chiefs when it got so big. That's why they couldn't
- 1:57:31Speaker 1: keep Tyreek Hill. You gave Patrick Mahomes a half of
- 1:57:35Speaker 1: Billy and guaranteed ninety five percent of it. You can't
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: get a receipt. You got a draft guys and hope
- 1:57:44Speaker 1: they pay out. And after three years when they become
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: great players, you can't pay them either. And you know
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: what happens with all of that. You don't have no
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: offensive line. You gotta make it up as you go.
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: And that's what happens with a lot of teams. That's
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: why when you get that little team and that little
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: four year window where everybody kind of under contract, you
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: gotta go win or because if you do a lot
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: of winning, nobody's gonna stay. And that's you know what's
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: happened to the Chief. That's what happened with the Chief.
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: Remember that big old check. Look around, Joe Burrow, Look
- 1:58:21Speaker 1: at any of these teams. They probably got a half
- 1:58:24Speaker 1: a billion dollar quarterback. The Denver Broncos better win now,
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: because when they have to pay Bowl Knicks, four defensive
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: starters gotta go. That's where all the money. I can't pay.
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: Bow Knick's gonna need a half a bill and you're
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: gonna be stuck. That window's not open, and it's not
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: open for long. And we are in the ocean.
- 1:58:50Speaker 23: The truth is he will throw your in the ocean.
- 1:58:54Speaker 23: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Judge
- 1:58:57Speaker 23: Show with Wade.
- 1:59:03Speaker 12: I gotta tell what I.
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: Seen, Bicky. Bicky, Well, you designs an ocean against the
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: swashot guess a minute to Vin. We'd like to thank

- 1:59:55Speaker 1: Spotify and catch the replay of the show. Bit Kenny
- 1:59:58Speaker 1: comanch you, Greg Bappert, thank you for your contributions today.
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: One bag of Tino's pizza rolls, one bag of sugar,
- 2:00:13Speaker 1: a loaf of bread, one eight pack of Gator Raid,
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: a pack of free Breeze, bathroom air fresheners, five packs
- 2:00:25Speaker 1: of plugins, one five hundred count napkin, a triple roll
- 2:00:33Speaker 1: of paper towels, and some paper plates. Total amount of
- 2:00:40Speaker 1: items in question adds up to ninety four dollars. Well
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: that's what offens A lineman, Dontrel Glover, went to Walmart
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: and with his team mate Bo Walker, tried to walk
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: out of Walmart up in the Athens with when they
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: were detained. Excuse me, James got in item, Yeah yeah,
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: let me let me get you back into y'all in
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: paypid old. Wait, you mean this stuff in my coat?
- 2:01:13Speaker 1: It's not in the bag dodo Oh, and a stick
- 2:01:16Speaker 1: a button. That is the items they were arrested. I
- 2:01:22Speaker 1: don't know if Kirby is going to keep him around,
- 2:01:25Speaker 1: but that's the one thing that Georgia has offered us
- 2:01:27Speaker 1: here for a while now, even before Kirby. Uh, they
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: stay on the police radar in some kind of capacity.
- 2:01:37Speaker 1: And at some point this is my segment and not yours,
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: to try to bash Bama. Bama is not didn't he
- 2:01:47Speaker 1: just say, Bama? You muted it. He's muted. Keep him
- 2:01:52Speaker 1: out of it. But these two young men, and you
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: would imagine ninety four dollars in the day of nineteen
- 2:02:02Speaker 1: eighty eight, maybe, but in the nil era, well, you know,
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: guys can't use that poe mouth. They ain't paying me, boss,
- 2:02:14Speaker 1: I'm up here working for free. That's not true. Y'all
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: are making more than the average working American just standing
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: on the sideline, making eighty ninety thousand dollars. But now
- 2:02:27Speaker 1: Kirby has a decision. I wonder how they call a
- 2:02:31Speaker 1: Mama's stealing sugar done trail And I know don trail.
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: He went to Langston Hughes. I just called his games,
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: his whole high school career. Yeah, man, Mama, they ain't
- 2:02:42Speaker 1: got me stealing no sugar. Yes they do. First of all,
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: Don Trail Peaks, I'm gonna throw you in alone because
- 2:02:49Speaker 1: bo probably could have went under the radar. But Don
- 2:02:53Speaker 1: Trail Glover is six eight about three hundred and forty pounds.
- 2:03:01Speaker 1: You can't hate anyway. I saw you for I was
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: even looking at the monitor and saw you stealing. That's you.
- 2:03:08Speaker 1: You blocked out the light coming through the door, Like,
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: what is that shot in the ocean? Come on, man,
- 2:03:14Speaker 1: ninety dollars having a barbecue or something. Y'all was getting
- 2:03:24Speaker 1: a lot of breeze. Y'all smoking a lot of weed.
- 2:03:26Speaker 1: That's a lot of plug ins y'all live in there.
- 2:03:29Speaker 1: That's a lot of air freshener door an apartment. That's
- 2:03:32Speaker 1: a too high decision. We got too high, and we
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: decided that they wanted to pay. They just forgot from
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: the sports shop crew, as we always on Thursday. We'll
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: see you in the future. Peace,
