- 0:11Speaker 1: What is happening in this place. It's the Holy Spirit
- 0:16Speaker 1: is bearing witness that we are in the right place
- 0:23Speaker 1: at the right time, on the precipice, on the precipice
- 0:32Speaker 1: of an absolute revolution. It's time out for doing events
- 0:41Speaker 1: just to do events.
- 0:43Speaker 2: If they're not purpose driven, is.
- 0:46Speaker 1: There not revelational, if they're not empowering, if they're not relevant.
- 0:56Speaker 1: We don't have time to waste our energy in things
- 1:01Speaker 1: that are not contruent with our destiny. Because the Holy
- 1:07Speaker 1: Spirit has confirmed to us it's going to be big.
- 1:16Speaker 1: It's going to be big. Every firmer knows when he
- 1:23Speaker 1: plants a seed that he does not expect to reap
- 1:29Speaker 1: a seed from a seed. Whatever when in the ground
- 1:33Speaker 1: is going to come out bigger when it comes out
- 1:37Speaker 1: than it was when it went in. If it's in
- 1:40Speaker 1: good soil, it's going to flourish. Lay your hands on
- 1:45Speaker 1: yourself and say, I am good soil.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Anybody who invested me is going to be blessed. Anybody
- 1:53Speaker 1: who loves me is going to be blessed. Anybody who
- 1:57Speaker 1: befriends me is going to be blessed. I am good soil.
- 2:01Speaker 1: If you plan an idea in me, I'll create a
- 2:04Speaker 1: product around it. Come on, if you're playing a seed
- 2:07Speaker 1: in me, I'll produce a harvest behind it. Anybody who
- 2:11Speaker 1: invests in me, lay your hands on yourself. I am
- 2:14Speaker 1: good soil. That's why God made at him from the
- 2:18Speaker 1: dust of the earth, because he wanted to make sure
- 2:21Speaker 1: that he used good soil. It's gonna be big. It's
- 2:33Speaker 1: gonna be big, y'all, it's gonna be big. Let me
- 2:39Speaker 1: go to work Joshua chapter one, verse nine through seventeen.
- 2:44Speaker 1: There you will find my assignment for this morning. I
- 2:48Speaker 1: asked God, what would you have me share with your people?
- 2:51Speaker 1: After forty six years of preaching? I am blind without
- 2:55Speaker 1: your leadership, and competent without your direction, insufficient without your instructions,
- 3:04Speaker 1: incapable without your anointing. Speak Lord, for thy servant here,
- 3:14Speaker 1: what would you have me say to this people at
- 3:18Speaker 1: this time in their lives? And he drove me to
- 3:22Speaker 1: Joshua chapter one, verse nine. I said, Joshua, Yeah, go
- 3:28Speaker 1: to Joshua chapter one, verse nine. I said, Lord, but
- 3:32Speaker 1: Joshua is a tempestuous book at a transitional time, with
- 3:41Speaker 1: transformative leadership, with the fears urgency of altercation, so that
- 3:50Speaker 1: there might be infiltration. Listen closely at me altercation, so
- 3:56Speaker 1: that there might be infiltration.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Should I use Joshua? Lord?
- 4:03Speaker 1: Joshua is not a book for whims. Joshua is not
- 4:11Speaker 1: a book for those who are faint of heart. Joshua
- 4:15Speaker 1: is a book that is designed for people who have
- 4:19Speaker 1: who have survived the desert, made it through the dry places,
- 4:27Speaker 1: and still have enough strength to embark on what is
- 4:31Speaker 1: about to happen in their life. Joshua is for the
- 4:38Speaker 1: remnants of people that the desert tried to take out
- 4:43Speaker 1: and it didn't work. Joshua it is the beginning of
- 4:51Speaker 1: a beginning again. It is a fresh start. It is
- 4:56Speaker 1: the recycling of a covenant people who have been recycled
- 5:00Speaker 1: in the midst of transition. It is the place of discomfort.
- 5:05Speaker 1: It is the place of disruption. You want me to
- 5:09Speaker 1: take them to Joshua, Lord, Yes, take them to Joshua.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Joshua is the place where all things are passed away.
- 5:20Speaker 1: The Book of Joshua is the repass after the funeral
- 5:25Speaker 1: of Moses. It is the closing of one door and
- 5:34Speaker 1: the opening of the next.
- 5:38Speaker 2: The Book of.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Joshua is synergistic with a total transformation of the way
- 5:45Speaker 1: the people think who have been trained in forty years
- 5:51Speaker 1: of survival training but have not been taught in success.
- 5:59Speaker 1: For the last forty years. They have developed the techniques
- 6:03Speaker 1: that the techniques that were necessary to sustain them in
- 6:07Speaker 1: dry places. But the drought is over.
- 6:16Speaker 2: The drought.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Is over, and now they are stepping into a new
- 6:25Speaker 1: transformative experience with a new leader requiring new skills, which
- 6:32Speaker 1: means that they must be shameless plug disruptive in their thinking,
- 6:41Speaker 1: because if they hold on to their old thinking, if
- 6:45Speaker 1: you go into new places with old thinking, the wine
- 6:49Speaker 1: skins burst because they don't have the flexibility to deal
- 6:55Speaker 1: with expanishion.
- 6:58Speaker 2: It's going to be big.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah, And if it's gonna be big, I've got to
- 7:03Speaker 1: be pliable. I'm in the Book of Joshua. Let me
- 7:07Speaker 1: read it to you. I'm excited. Here God speaks to Joshua,
- 7:15Speaker 1: having just eulogized Moses. He opens his mouth and clears
- 7:23Speaker 1: his throat and says, now, Moses, my servant is dead.
- 7:30Speaker 2: As I was with Moses.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So shall I be was and shall was? And shall
- 7:38Speaker 1: we are right in between was? And shall as I
- 7:44Speaker 1: was with Moses, so.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Shall I be with Joshua.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Now we eavesdrop on God commanding his general, teaching him
- 7:59Speaker 1: how to lead. Not so he has not led before.
- 8:04Speaker 1: He has led in a subordinate level up under a leader,
- 8:09Speaker 1: but he has never led where he is fully in
- 8:12Speaker 1: charge and the buck stops with them. And so even
- 8:17Speaker 1: though he has some experience and preparatory resolution that abides
- 8:24Speaker 1: in him based on that past experience, still he's not
- 8:29Speaker 1: ready for this. So God says to him, be strong.
- 8:36Speaker 1: And I want to say that to you.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Be strong.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Don't confuse strong with angry. I've seen a lot of
- 8:48Speaker 1: people who were angry but not strong, who talk tough
- 8:54Speaker 1: but cracked easy. God says, for what I'm getting ready
- 8:59Speaker 1: to do, must be strong. Have not I commanded THEE.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I command you to be strong. I'm not asking you.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I command THEE to be strong and of good courage.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Be not a fred, Neither be thou this maid. For
- 9:19Speaker 1: the Lord thy God is with THEE.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Yeah. That settles it right there.
- 9:28Speaker 1: The Lord thy God is with THEE, whethersoever thou goest. Now,
- 9:38Speaker 1: when God commanded Joshua, then Joshua commanded the officers. See,
- 9:44Speaker 1: we have people commanding people who have not been commanded.
- 9:50Speaker 1: We have people leading people who have not been led.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Then Joshua commanded the officers. He didn't bring it to
- 9:57Speaker 1: the officers until God brought it to him the officers
- 10:01Speaker 1: of the people, saying, pass through the hosts, go through
- 10:06Speaker 1: the crowd and command the people. You cannot command people
- 10:11Speaker 1: until you can be commanded. You can't give orders if
- 10:15Speaker 1: you can't take them. Pass through the hosts and command
- 10:19Speaker 1: the people, saying, prepare your victuals.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Prepare your victuals.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Prepare your food, your sustenance, your necessities, your needs, the
- 10:36Speaker 1: equipment that is necessary for sustainability. I charge you, I no,
- 10:42Speaker 1: I command you to prepare your victuals. For within three days,
- 10:51Speaker 1: ye should pass over this Jordan, to go into a land,
- 10:57Speaker 1: to go in to possess the which the Lord your
- 11:03Speaker 1: God giveth you to possess it. He gave it to you,
- 11:13Speaker 1: but you got to possess it. And plus in addition
- 11:20Speaker 1: to the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe
- 11:26Speaker 1: of Manessa, spake Joshua, saying, here's the challenge to you.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Remember the word which Moses, the servant of the Lord,
- 11:34Speaker 1: commanded you, saying, the Lord your God hath given you
- 11:38Speaker 1: rest and have given you this land, meaning this land
- 11:43Speaker 1: on this side of the Jordan. Your wives, your little ones,
- 11:47Speaker 1: and your cattle shall remain in the land which Moses
- 11:50Speaker 1: gave you on this side of Jordan.
- 11:54Speaker 2: But you cannot sit comfortably and what has.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Already been allocated to you while your brothers remain in lack.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Ye shall pass before your brethren, armed all the mighty
- 12:13Speaker 1: men of Valor, and help them. Question who are you helping?
- 12:22Speaker 1: I know you've been blessed. I know you got knowledge,
- 12:25Speaker 1: I know you got degrees, I know you got opportunities.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I know you got influence. I know you got a
- 12:30Speaker 1: nice car. I know you got a Gucci bag, I
- 12:33Speaker 1: know you wear in Louis Vautan. Excuse me, who are
- 12:38Speaker 1: you helping? Until the Lord hath given your brethren rests
- 12:47Speaker 1: as he hath given you, and they also have possessed
- 12:52Speaker 1: the land with the Lord your god hath given them,
- 12:57Speaker 1: then ye shall return unto the land of your possessions
- 13:01Speaker 1: and enjoy it. You might be partying at the wrong time.
- 13:09Speaker 1: You can't celebrate while your brother suffered, which Moses, the
- 13:18Speaker 1: Lord's servant, gave you on this side of Jordan. Toward
- 13:22Speaker 1: the sunrising, and they answered Joshua, saying all that thou
- 13:28Speaker 1: commandest us, we will do. And whethersoever thou sendest us,
- 13:33Speaker 1: we will go. We will not sit out on the
- 13:37Speaker 1: land that we've already possessed and build our houses and
- 13:40Speaker 1: sit up under shade trees and drink tall glasses of
- 13:44Speaker 1: iced tea with mint leaves on the top, while our
- 13:49Speaker 1: brother's skin is throat is parched, and skin is burnt,
- 13:54Speaker 1: and they are wandering trying to figure out how to
- 13:58Speaker 1: figure out how to figure out how to get in.
- 14:04Speaker 1: According as we hearken unto Moses and all things, so
- 14:09Speaker 1: will we hearken unto thee only the Lord that God
- 14:14Speaker 1: be with thee.
- 14:16Speaker 2: As he was with Moses.
- 14:22Speaker 1: My subject this morning is prep before the promise, prep
- 14:33Speaker 1: before the problem. Why did you use that? Prepare your victuals?
- 14:40Speaker 1: For in three days we will cross this jod. You
- 14:44Speaker 1: may be see that. Thank you very much. Speed of
- 14:48Speaker 1: the Lord God falls fresh on us. Says we break
- 14:50Speaker 1: into the Word of God today. I thank you for
- 14:52Speaker 1: the Word of God being made flesh. Thank you for
- 14:54Speaker 1: what you're about to do. Thank you for all that
- 14:56Speaker 1: you've invested in us. I believe you for al in
- 15:00Speaker 1: Jesus' name. Amen, I just concluded on yesterday my annual
- 15:06Speaker 1: strategy meeting, where various influencers, companies, corporations, and our entire
- 15:15Speaker 1: staff surrounded the room just to ruminate in the possibilities
- 15:23Speaker 1: of what our combined strength could achieve. I have come
- 15:29Speaker 1: to learn that we are better together than we are
- 15:33Speaker 1: a part. I have come to learn that if you
- 15:37Speaker 1: can fulfill your dream on your own, it is too.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Small for you.
- 15:42Speaker 1: So we galvanize the best of the best from every
- 15:45Speaker 1: walk of life, from all types of business, from travel
- 15:49Speaker 1: and leisure to Wells Fargo to Bank of America. They
- 15:53Speaker 1: were all in the room to McDonald's. They were all
- 15:57Speaker 1: in the room to learn and glean and to contemplate
- 16:05Speaker 1: how we could increase our force and our impact. Not
- 16:11Speaker 1: on our church. Our church has received its promised land,
- 16:17Speaker 1: but our brethren and our community have not. And so
- 16:22Speaker 1: we deliberated on it with great contemplation, a strategic alliance
- 16:27Speaker 1: that was necessary in order to fulfill the closing of
- 16:33Speaker 1: the gap of equity, of home ownership, of job creation
- 16:41Speaker 1: of the kinds of things that are necessary to reduce
- 16:45Speaker 1: crime and frustration and murder and mental health.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Because the truth of the matter, some of us.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Have worried ourselves to death over survival.
- 17:01Speaker 2: We have not.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Possessed the land. God commanded us to possess land. The
- 17:11Speaker 1: command of God is to possess land, not money. Possess land.
- 17:16Speaker 1: They are printing money while I'm talking to you, but
- 17:20Speaker 1: they ain't making no more land. So when you start
- 17:26Speaker 1: talking about the risk of the market, you must understand
- 17:30Speaker 1: that the market has its risk. But if the land
- 17:33Speaker 1: is well bought, it is absolute, distinct and completely irreplaceable.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Artificial intelligence will not create it, it will not replace it.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It is in a category all by itself. And so
- 17:50Speaker 1: as we prepared for our leadership conference and for our
- 17:53Speaker 1: good soul initiatives, for our foundation, for our future, hours
- 18:00Speaker 1: and hours and hours with bright minds in preparation. And
- 18:07Speaker 1: the preparation didn't just start two days ago. The preparation
- 18:10Speaker 1: has been going on for years. So we prepped for
- 18:15Speaker 1: the prep to prep for what's next. Preparation is underrated.
- 18:24Speaker 1: In a world raised by the click of a button
- 18:27Speaker 1: and touching on an icon and a whole world opens up.
- 18:31Speaker 1: We expect life to work like Apple. Just touch it
- 18:37Speaker 1: and it opens face recognition, it's me, and it opens
- 18:43Speaker 1: for you. But there are certain doors that in order
- 18:47Speaker 1: to be ready for them, you have to be prepared
- 18:50Speaker 1: for them. I cook, and many of you know that
- 18:54Speaker 1: I like to cook, and I have been cooking for
- 18:57Speaker 1: since I was about thirteen years old. But I cook
- 19:00Speaker 1: the old fashioned way often where you prep and cook
- 19:06Speaker 1: on the same day. My son has a tendency to
- 19:11Speaker 1: prep ahead. Okay, he talks about brining and soaking and saturating,
- 19:20Speaker 1: and so I have adapted a new methodology to old
- 19:27Speaker 1: school cooking because I found out that when you prep it.
- 19:32Speaker 1: When you don't prep in advance, you flavor the food. Now,
- 19:37Speaker 1: my goal is to flavor the bone. So when I
- 19:46Speaker 1: cook my ribs, I'm not interested in flavoring the meat.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I think ribs are best when the bone tastes as
- 19:54Speaker 1: good as the meat. And if you're going to get
- 19:58Speaker 1: the flavoring to escape the exterior facade and the elusiveness
- 20:06Speaker 1: of sauce, then you must permeate it with seasoning early
- 20:11Speaker 1: enough that the seasoning can saturate down past the exterior
- 20:17Speaker 1: skin through the meat down to the bone, and you
- 20:22Speaker 1: won't really know that you've done it right until you're
- 20:25Speaker 1: eating it and the bone is as flavored as a meat.
- 20:35Speaker 1: This text that I want. After all that I read
- 20:38Speaker 1: is really summed up in a few words, prepare your victuals.
- 20:46Speaker 1: And to a novice reader, this is a footnote and incidental, irrelevant,
- 20:56Speaker 1: not specific, not important. All they have survived the desert,
- 21:04Speaker 1: and the walls of Jericho are in front of them,
- 21:08Speaker 1: walls so high that they could not scale them, and
- 21:11Speaker 1: so wide the chariots rode across the top of them.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And why would we not talk about the magnitude of
- 21:19Speaker 1: the walls, the fierceness of the obstacle in front of them,
- 21:24Speaker 1: or maybe perhaps talk about the grief of the dying Moses,
- 21:30Speaker 1: who went up in the mountain like he had off
- 21:32Speaker 1: gone before, only this time he did not return, and
- 21:37Speaker 1: there was no closure. They had to reckon him to
- 21:44Speaker 1: be dead. No wonder, the apostle Paula in the New
- 21:48Speaker 1: Testament says, reckon your flesh to be dead. It will
- 21:54Speaker 1: not confirm it for you. You just have to reckon
- 21:58Speaker 1: it to be dead. They had to reckon Moses to
- 22:03Speaker 1: be dead, having only God's word as an absolution. Moses,
- 22:09Speaker 1: my servant is dead. All they knew is that he
- 22:14Speaker 1: didn't come down. He had often gone up on the mountain,
- 22:19Speaker 1: but this time. He did not come down now to
- 22:26Speaker 1: lose people. They had been losing millions of people as
- 22:31Speaker 1: they traveled and adjourned through the wilderness. They were used
- 22:35Speaker 1: to the wilderness being littered with bodies along the way,
- 22:40Speaker 1: but this time was different, because you could lose people.
- 22:47Speaker 2: But when you.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Lose Moses, you don't mean a Moses. Every day. Moses
- 23:01Speaker 1: was God sent and God breathed, and God equipped, and
- 23:09Speaker 1: every single solitary miracle they had witnessed since slavery had
- 23:18Speaker 1: been achieved through his hands, and his hands.
- 23:27Speaker 3: They would see no more. And the wailing sounded like
- 23:37Speaker 3: thunder at the bottom of the mouth.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Because to lose Moses is to lose direction. Moses was
- 23:50Speaker 1: the guide who guided them through the wilderness. And it
- 23:55Speaker 1: wasn't just that they lost leaders. They lost their compass.
- 24:01Speaker 1: One that had been tried and true and absolute, that
- 24:04Speaker 1: had proven himself to be effective at leading them forward.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Is now bad, just when they were almost there, just
- 24:15Speaker 1: when they were on the precipice of a new beginning,
- 24:17Speaker 1: just when they were about to step into the promised land.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, lost Moses.
- 24:26Speaker 1: And it seems appropriate that if we were going to
- 24:28Speaker 1: talk about something, we would talk about the loss of Moses,
- 24:32Speaker 1: or maybe the gaining of Jericho, that a four hundred
- 24:36Speaker 1: plus promise was about to come to pass. That God
- 24:42Speaker 1: had promised to a dead man nay made them, And
- 24:48Speaker 1: many times along the way God had made up his
- 24:51Speaker 1: mind I would destroy them, But then he remembered.
- 24:55Speaker 2: His promise to a corpse.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And stop justice from executing judgment, though they were deserving
- 25:11Speaker 1: of judgment because God kept his word.
- 25:16Speaker 2: To a corpse. Hence Canaan is called the Promised Land.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Now God is saying to them, as they are wrestling
- 25:31Speaker 1: with the intermediate place of not quite being in the
- 25:37Speaker 1: desert and not quite being in the promised Land, he
- 25:44Speaker 1: disrupts their pattern. As they had survived the desert off
- 25:51Speaker 1: of the food that fell from heaven called manner. Let's
- 25:56Speaker 1: talk about food. In Egypt, they had eaten from the
- 26:02Speaker 1: hands of Pharaoh for four hundred years. They had eaten
- 26:10Speaker 1: out of the hand of a slave master. Once liberated
- 26:17Speaker 1: from the slave master, they were freed from the whip,
- 26:20Speaker 1: but they were also void of the food, and they
- 26:27Speaker 1: missed the leeks and onions of Egypt. They didn't miss
- 26:31Speaker 1: the whip, but they missed the food. So God catered
- 26:38Speaker 1: for them in the wilderness manna that fell from heaven
- 26:43Speaker 1: every morning. Not wheat they beat, but manna prepared for
- 26:53Speaker 1: them that all they had to do was reach out
- 26:56Speaker 1: and get it, and it was easy fail every day,
- 27:05Speaker 1: like clockwork, early in the morning with the dew, the
- 27:11Speaker 1: manner appeared. Also, each man according to his house. God
- 27:17Speaker 1: does not give equally, but God responds to appetite. Where
- 27:28Speaker 1: there is little appetite, there were small loaves where there
- 27:31Speaker 1: were huge appetite, there were large loaves. Don't compare yourself
- 27:36Speaker 1: with one another, because God only supplies according to your appetite.
- 27:45Speaker 1: If you don't want much, he won't drop much. But
- 27:48Speaker 1: if you've got a great need and a great void,
- 27:50Speaker 1: he will drop according to your need. So don't look
- 27:54Speaker 1: over at your neighbors ten and worry about what God
- 27:57Speaker 1: has given them, because they may.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Have the capacity to absolve more.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Provision than you do, and God doesn't want his provision
- 28:08Speaker 1: to be wasted. God gives seed to the sore and
- 28:12Speaker 1: bread to the eater. God does not give blessings to
- 28:15Speaker 1: people that will not consume it. Whereas you want blessings
- 28:21Speaker 1: just so you can brag about that you've got them,
- 28:23Speaker 1: God gives blessings to people who will take action. And
- 28:27Speaker 1: if you're not going to use it, why would God
- 28:30Speaker 1: give it to you? And so he designed it that
- 28:32Speaker 1: if you didn't use it by a certain time, the
- 28:35Speaker 1: worms would eat it up, because you were forbidden from
- 28:40Speaker 1: hoarding yesterday's bread for today's battle. And as they were
- 28:52Speaker 1: joining through the wilderness, the closer they got to the
- 28:55Speaker 1: promised land, there is a small minute phrase in the
- 28:59Speaker 1: text that I start to pull up. But you can
- 29:01Speaker 1: look it up whenever you want to. It's a simple
- 29:03Speaker 1: little sentence, but it has great impact. It has the
- 29:07Speaker 1: force of a sledge hammer, it says. And then the
- 29:14Speaker 1: manner ceased.
- 29:19Speaker 2: What do you do when what used to work doesn't
- 29:31Speaker 2: work anymore?
- 29:33Speaker 1: What do you do when you have gotten used to
- 29:36Speaker 1: a system that God has abruptly halted? There was no warning,
- 29:45Speaker 1: there was no prophecy, there was no preparation, without any
- 29:49Speaker 1: warning at all, it just stopped. And some of us
- 30:00Speaker 1: that we have lost the favor of a God because
- 30:03Speaker 1: what used to work isn't working anymore. And the manner ceased,
- 30:20Speaker 1: and Moses died, and they cried at the bottom of
- 30:26Speaker 1: the mountain because everything that they had become accustomed to
- 30:35Speaker 1: had been disrupted. I want to rich to somebody in
- 30:40Speaker 1: this room that everything that you were accustomed to has
- 30:47Speaker 1: been disrupted, and now you have to move forward without
- 30:54Speaker 1: any playbook, without any rules, without any guarantees, without any suddainties.
- 31:00Speaker 1: If you take another step, you gotta take it by faith,
- 31:02Speaker 1: because the manner has ceased and the Moses is dead,
- 31:07Speaker 1: but the movement continues.
- 31:09Speaker 2: What it now?
- 31:11Speaker 1: When you got to keep movement, You got to keep movement,
- 31:14Speaker 1: but Moses is dead. You got to keep movement, but
- 31:18Speaker 1: the manner has ceased. And Joshua almost says if it
- 31:25Speaker 1: were a footnote at the bottom of an elaborate literary work, says.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Prepare your victuals.
- 31:36Speaker 1: This is a revolutionary idea to people who only had
- 31:41Speaker 1: to gather their food. Now, God says, I won't make
- 31:49Speaker 1: it happen anymore without you. I will require your investment
- 32:04Speaker 1: in your provision. You have gone as far as you
- 32:10Speaker 1: can go off of my charity. Your next meal is
- 32:19Speaker 1: going to require your involvement. Oh, I don't know if
- 32:24Speaker 1: you're ready for this. I don't know if you're ready
- 32:26Speaker 1: for this. I don't know if you're ready for this.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I am taking you from being dependent to being interdependent.
- 32:38Speaker 1: I'm wealing you from easy. I know you wrote books
- 32:50Speaker 1: on hyde works. I know you wrote twelve Steps to
- 32:52Speaker 1: a Blessed in a drop place. I know you've grown
- 32:55Speaker 1: all kinds of books about water coming out of rocks.
- 32:58Speaker 1: I know you wrote books about met enoup serpents in
- 33:00Speaker 1: the wind that. I know you wrote a lot of
- 33:02Speaker 1: books about a lot of stuff. But I'm changing the playbook.
- 33:08Speaker 1: And I don't know who I'm preaching to today, But
- 33:11Speaker 1: the Lord sent me here to tell you he has
- 33:14Speaker 1: changed the playbook. What used to work will not work
- 33:19Speaker 1: right now. He told me to tell you what brought
- 33:22Speaker 1: you here or will not take you there. The system's substructures.
- 33:28Speaker 1: There's going to be a massive paradigm shift. And if
- 33:32Speaker 1: you don't have liquidity, and if you don't have dexterity,
- 33:36Speaker 1: and if you don't have pliability, and if you don't
- 33:39Speaker 1: have intellectuality, you will not be able to evolve into
- 33:42Speaker 1: the next dimension. Because the manner has ceased and the
- 33:48Speaker 1: Moses is dead, and the movement continues. And right nestled
- 33:59Speaker 1: create in this beautiful text is the command.
- 34:06Speaker 2: To prepare your victuals, so.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Dex to when he cooks he cuts up all his
- 34:18Speaker 1: young onions and grapes, all his cheeses and flesh, boils
- 34:23Speaker 1: all his food, and brins all this meat, and does
- 34:26Speaker 1: all of that a couple of days ahead of time,
- 34:32Speaker 1: because the prep time is more important than the cook time. Now,
- 34:42Speaker 1: I know this is a hard message to preach, because
- 34:44Speaker 1: I'm preaching about prep time to a microwave. It's difficult
- 34:53Speaker 1: to talk to you about really good dining because what
- 34:57Speaker 1: you eat is not really food. It's just it's a
- 35:02Speaker 1: biological experiment. It's it's it's it's something that if you
- 35:06Speaker 1: looked at it with a microscope, it would be crawling.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Because you took it out of the freezer, you popped
- 35:11Speaker 1: it into the microwave, and you heated it up for
- 35:14Speaker 1: five minutes, and you lifted the lid and it almost
- 35:16Speaker 1: called it your hand, and you eat it and you
- 35:18Speaker 1: call it food. But that's not food. That's not food,
- 35:24Speaker 1: that's bacteria. Real food requires prep time. Look at your
- 35:38Speaker 1: neighbor and say, I'm in prep time. I'm not acting funny.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I'm in prep time. I'm not ignoring your phone calls.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I'm in prep time. I'm not disregarding our relationship. I'm
- 35:51Speaker 1: in prep time. I haven't gotten the big head. I'm
- 35:55Speaker 1: in prep time. I'm not arrogant. I'm in prep time.
- 35:59Speaker 1: I I seem distracted and I don't seem like the
- 36:02Speaker 1: person I used to be. But I'm the same person,
- 36:05Speaker 1: but I'm in a different place. I'm in prep time.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I'm getting ready for something, and more is required of
- 36:11Speaker 1: me in this season than what was required me in
- 36:15Speaker 1: my last season. In my last season, we could play around,
- 36:19Speaker 1: we could fool around, we could mess around, we could
- 36:22Speaker 1: date around. But I got to break up with you
- 36:24Speaker 1: in this season because I'm in prep time. In my
- 36:28Speaker 1: last season, we could breathe on the phone for an
- 36:31Speaker 1: hour and a half.
- 36:32Speaker 2: But in this.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Season, in order to get where I gotta go, I'm
- 36:35Speaker 1: in prep time. And yes, I still appreciate everything that
- 36:39Speaker 1: you used to be, but I recognize your manner has ceased.
- 36:45Speaker 1: In other words, you are not the source of my sustenance.
- 36:49Speaker 1: You are no longer the place where I eat. And
- 36:52Speaker 1: I love you and I appreciate you, but I can't
- 36:55Speaker 1: be on the phone for hours and hours talking about
- 36:57Speaker 1: people because I'm in prep time. People who can spend
- 37:01Speaker 1: hours on the phone talking about people aren't going anywhere,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and I can't afford to spend another year talking about
- 37:08Speaker 1: what other people are doing while I'm not doing anything
- 37:12Speaker 1: at all.
- 37:12Speaker 2: I'm in prepping.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I'm wondering if there's anybody in this room, in this place,
- 37:17Speaker 1: I'm wondering if there's anybody streaming online who's on In
- 37:21Speaker 1: prep time, you're chopping up stuff and dic and stuff
- 37:25Speaker 1: and preparing stuff and rapping it. It ain't happened yet,
- 37:28Speaker 1: but you're in prep tide. The door hasn't opened yet,
- 37:31Speaker 1: but you're in prep time. The way it hasn't been
- 37:34Speaker 1: made yet, but you're in prep time. If I am
- 37:36Speaker 1: preaching to the right people set it off in here,
- 37:48Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
- 37:52Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. I proved my faith because
- 37:56Speaker 1: I'm prepping for something that hadn't even happened yet. I
- 38:00Speaker 1: haven't mixed it together, it hadn't come together. I haven't
- 38:03Speaker 1: placed it in the oven. I had didn't put it
- 38:05Speaker 1: in the cronk pot. I haven't put it on the
- 38:07Speaker 1: smoker yet. But I'm in prep time. I'm laying it out,
- 38:11Speaker 1: I'm getting it ready. I'm bringing structure to what I believe.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I'm not just believing it. I'm bringing structure to it,
- 38:19Speaker 1: because without structure and strategy, I won't be prepared to
- 38:24Speaker 1: succeed in the area of my destination. I'm in prep time.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Nuts three people and say, I'm in prep time. I'm
- 38:32Speaker 1: in prep time. I'm in prep time. I'm in prep time.
- 38:35Speaker 1: I'm in prep time. I'm in prep time. I'm in
- 38:38Speaker 1: prep time. I'm in preptime. I gotta get it in preptime.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I gotta get it in the right shape. I gotta
- 38:44Speaker 1: get it in the right form. I gotta get it
- 38:46Speaker 1: in the right size. I gotta get it at the
- 38:48Speaker 1: right temperature. I gotta get it in the right order.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Because I'm in preptile. I can't put cold butter into
- 38:55Speaker 1: a pound cake because it won't cream. I gotta get
- 38:58Speaker 1: it room temperature. Every thing's gotta be right because I'm
- 39:01Speaker 1: in prep time. And when I'm in prep time, I
- 39:04Speaker 1: have to do stuff that don't make sense to you.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Why you got the buttermilk sitting on the store. Why
- 39:09Speaker 1: you got the butter just laying out, Why don't you
- 39:12Speaker 1: go ahead and use it. No, it's not the right
- 39:14Speaker 1: temperature yet. But I'm in prep time. I'm calling things
- 39:17Speaker 1: that are not as though they were because I'm in
- 39:20Speaker 1: prep time. I'm getting my outfit ready. I'm getting my
- 39:23Speaker 1: wardrobe ready, I'm getting my language ready. I'm getting my
- 39:26Speaker 1: speech ready. I'm learning the right terminologies not for the
- 39:30Speaker 1: room I'm in, but for the room I'm about to
- 39:33Speaker 1: walk in. I'm learning the language of my future. I'm
- 39:37Speaker 1: preparing myself for what God is about to do in
- 39:40Speaker 1: my life.
- 39:41Speaker 2: I'm in prep time. You don't understand it because.
- 39:46Speaker 1: You don't have enough faith. You say, when I get there,
- 39:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna prepare the vitual. It's gonna be too late
- 39:52Speaker 1: when you get there. You got to prepare for it
- 39:55Speaker 1: before you get there. You got to prepare three days
- 39:58Speaker 1: in advance. In the next three days, things are about
- 40:02Speaker 1: to change in your life in a radical way. This
- 40:06Speaker 1: is preptid. This word is a prophetic word going out
- 40:10Speaker 1: to somebody. You're in preptide. There's about to be a
- 40:13Speaker 1: release in your life. If God is talking to you
- 40:16Speaker 1: right here, right now, make some noise in this place,
- 40:20Speaker 1: any kind of noise, any kind of noise, any kind
- 40:22Speaker 1: of noise. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Your friends are laughing
- 40:38Speaker 1: at you, saying, what are you doing going to a
- 40:41Speaker 1: leadership conference. You ain't even a leader. Shut your mouth.
- 40:44Speaker 1: I'm in preptime. I'm calling those things that are not
- 40:47Speaker 1: as though they were. I'm getting ready for what's next.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I want to learn the language of the role. I
- 40:53Speaker 1: want to be in the place where people are thinking forward.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I can't keep hanging out with desert babies. I got
- 40:58Speaker 1: to get with somebody that ready to go into the
- 41:01Speaker 1: Promised Land. And I got to get into the room
- 41:03Speaker 1: that I'm gonna be in one day. No, they don't
- 41:06Speaker 1: know me right now, but I'm prepping for the future.
- 41:08Speaker 1: You can't understand that if you're not a product of faith.
- 41:12Speaker 1: But faith will make you get ready for something that
- 41:15Speaker 1: hadn't happened yet. Faith will make you borrow vessels when
- 41:18Speaker 1: you're broke. Faith will make you take a lunch and
- 41:21Speaker 1: tell everybody to sit down. Some kind of way. God
- 41:24Speaker 1: is going to turn it into a Smorgan's bar. Faith
- 41:26Speaker 1: will make you get ready for a child when the
- 41:28Speaker 1: doctor said you can't have no baby. Faith will make
- 41:32Speaker 1: you call those things that are not as though they were.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Faith gets into your attitude and your disposition. Faith will
- 41:38Speaker 1: make you build a room on a house for a
- 41:41Speaker 1: profit that hadn't come by yet. Faith will make you
- 41:44Speaker 1: get ready for something that hadn't even there yet. Faith
- 41:46Speaker 1: will make you start laying our plans and diagrams and
- 41:50Speaker 1: getting ready and setting up situation for some of you
- 41:52Speaker 1: can't even pay for. Faith will make you move out
- 41:55Speaker 1: on something that makes you look like a full Faith
- 41:58Speaker 1: will make you build an arm been a drop of rain.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Faith We'll get you ready for something that I hadn't
- 42:03Speaker 1: even started to break loose in your life. I want
- 42:06Speaker 1: to talk to some radical people in this room that
- 42:09Speaker 1: are willing to build a boat in your backyard and
- 42:12Speaker 1: it hadn't even rained yet, and all your neighbors are
- 42:14Speaker 1: laughing at you. But you are in prep time. If
- 42:18Speaker 1: you're in prep time, how at your bore? Prepare sit
- 42:35Speaker 1: I said, I'm just talking. Prepare, Prepare your victuals. Prepare
- 42:49Speaker 1: your victuals. Look at somebody say, prepare your victuals. This basically,
- 42:56Speaker 1: it's not just a change of how you cook. This
- 43:04Speaker 1: is a change of how you think. You were raised
- 43:11Speaker 1: by people who didn't have to prepare. So you cannot
- 43:15Speaker 1: take your parents' mindset into your moment. Because your father's
- 43:25Speaker 1: did eat manna in the wilderness. But the manner has ceased,
- 43:31Speaker 1: so that means you have to have a different mindset.
- 43:36Speaker 1: You might have the moral equival equival Clesey has said,
- 43:41Speaker 1: but you cannot have the same mindset because if you
- 43:48Speaker 1: have the mindset of your father's, you will be looking
- 43:52Speaker 1: up every morning waiting on something to fall down that
- 43:55Speaker 1: is never going to fall down again, and you will
- 44:00Speaker 1: be waiting on something to happen so you can move.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Nothing else is going to happen. Prep Time means mindsets
- 44:12Speaker 1: determine assets. If I cannot get it in your mind,
- 44:23Speaker 1: I cannot get it in your life. If your mindset
- 44:28Speaker 1: is still looking up for manner, then your hands won't
- 44:33Speaker 1: prepare your victuals.
- 44:38Speaker 2: And prep time.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Is a dangerous, dubious task of challenging how you think.
- 44:52Speaker 1: It's not that the preparation for the food is not
- 44:55Speaker 1: available to you, but if you don't have the mindset,
- 45:02Speaker 1: you won't have that set. If you have a mindset
- 45:06Speaker 1: of waiting on something to fall in the morning, you
- 45:10Speaker 1: won't prepare your victuals in the day. Every time there's
- 45:18Speaker 1: a major change in your life or move in your life,
- 45:23Speaker 1: or you move into a new region or a new
- 45:25Speaker 1: occupation or a new situation, or you become a single parent,
- 45:30Speaker 1: or you get married. It's not enough to get a
- 45:34Speaker 1: new ring if you have an old mindset. Come on
- 45:41Speaker 1: with me, Come on with me, Come on with me.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Don't jump off now, don't jump off with me. You
- 45:49Speaker 1: can't be a married woman with a single woman's mindset
- 45:58Speaker 1: because all of your single girl friends will mess up
- 46:01Speaker 1: your marriage with their advice about what they would do
- 46:04Speaker 1: if they was you and they don't have nobody, and
- 46:07Speaker 1: you listening at them and carrying that spirit home and
- 46:10Speaker 1: is tearing up your house. Brother, you can't be a
- 46:15Speaker 1: husband with a single man's mindset because you will be
- 46:22Speaker 1: physically present but emotionally unavailable. Because you are physically and
- 46:27Speaker 1: legally married but not emotionally present or connected, and because
- 46:32Speaker 1: you have not developed language for anything beyond anger, your
- 46:36Speaker 1: wife becomes a sparring partner because you are better at
- 46:50Speaker 1: expressing anger than you are anything else. And God is
- 46:55Speaker 1: prepping you with a change of mindset. Can I God
- 47:02Speaker 1: just a little bit deeper? I know I'm taking up
- 47:03Speaker 1: some time, but I want to show you how powerful
- 47:06Speaker 1: mindset is. The prodigal sign is down in the hog pen.
- 47:09Speaker 1: He has estranged himself from his father and his brother.
- 47:13Speaker 1: He has gradually lost the dissipation of friendship, the erosion
- 47:19Speaker 1: of connectivity. He is in a place of total isolation,
- 47:23Speaker 1: surrounded by swine. He is out of money, he is
- 47:27Speaker 1: out of friends, he is out of family, He is
- 47:30Speaker 1: out of identity. He has no name in the text.
- 47:34Speaker 1: He is a nameless person in a deplorable situation. And
- 47:38Speaker 1: the only thing that changed. No angels came, no visitations
- 47:43Speaker 1: from God came, no Bible dropped down out the sky.
- 47:47Speaker 1: The only thing that changed. The hawks were still the hogs.
- 47:50Speaker 1: The slop was still the slop. The gentiles were still
- 47:53Speaker 1: the gentiles. His family was still a strange His friends
- 47:57Speaker 1: has all ran away. The only thing changed mind his
- 48:01Speaker 1: mind chain. The Bible said that with mud in between
- 48:05Speaker 1: his toes and NAT's around his head, he came to himself,
- 48:12Speaker 1: the only thing you have to do to get out
- 48:14Speaker 1: of the situation you're in right now is change your mind.
- 48:18Speaker 1: You don't need her to come back, you don't need
- 48:21Speaker 1: him to come back. You don't need them to pay
- 48:23Speaker 1: your way. You don't need anything else but to change
- 48:26Speaker 1: your mind. As a mind thinketh in his heart, so
- 48:30Speaker 1: is he. And the moment you change your mind. Can't
- 48:33Speaker 1: nobody hold you down. This is a change of mindset.
- 48:38Speaker 1: I'm not gonna keep standing out here in the morning
- 48:40Speaker 1: waiting on something to fall. It ain't falling no more.
- 48:42Speaker 1: What used to work is not working anymore. I'm changing
- 48:45Speaker 1: my mindset. If I gotta get my hands mess it,
- 48:48Speaker 1: if I gotta get up early in the morning, if
- 48:51Speaker 1: I gotta beat the wheat till it turns to flower,
- 48:54Speaker 1: I will beat whatever I've got the wheat until i'm
- 48:58Speaker 1: making turn into what is got to turn to. Because
- 49:01Speaker 1: my hands are a reflection of my mindset. If you
- 49:05Speaker 1: want to know what I'm thinking, what's what I'm doing.
- 49:08Speaker 1: If you see me out here doing it, it means
- 49:12Speaker 1: I'm not waiting anymore. I came here to tell you
- 49:15Speaker 1: tonight that God said, stop waiting on somebody to come
- 49:19Speaker 1: rescue you from your situation. They're not coming. You need
- 49:23Speaker 1: to change your mindset and start beating that wheat up
- 49:27Speaker 1: until you see bread. There will be no more bread
- 49:30Speaker 1: falling from heaven. You're in a prep season for a
- 49:33Speaker 1: promise that's about to take your life. If I'm preaching
- 49:37Speaker 1: right at you, if I'm preaching right to you, if
- 49:39Speaker 1: I'm preaching about where you're at right now. If you
- 49:42Speaker 1: know you got to change the game, if you know
- 49:44Speaker 1: you got to shift the strategy, if you know you
- 49:47Speaker 1: got to get a new playbook, if you know you
- 49:49Speaker 1: got to break out of the box, if you know
- 49:52Speaker 1: you got to disrupt something, if you know God is
- 49:54Speaker 1: challenging you that if you've always done what you've always done,
- 49:58Speaker 1: you will always be where you've a always been. If
- 50:01Speaker 1: you're ready to be radical, reckless and break loose and
- 50:04Speaker 1: break out, if you're ready to break some rules and
- 50:06Speaker 1: do something you've never done before. If you're ready to
- 50:09Speaker 1: beat wheat till it comes out as loaves of bread,
- 50:12Speaker 1: make some noise in this place, just anoy tell somebody
- 50:24Speaker 1: saying it's yours, but you gotta take it. I'm gonna
- 50:27Speaker 1: move from preparation to possession. It's yours, but you gotta
- 50:30Speaker 1: take it. It's not gonna come up on your front porch.
- 50:33Speaker 1: It's not gonna ring the doorbell. It's not gonna respond
- 50:36Speaker 1: to you the way you expected it to respond to you.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Ain't no more manner coming down to your door. Ain't
- 50:41Speaker 1: nobody coming to your house begging you for a position.
- 50:44Speaker 1: You got to possess it. It's yours, but you gotta
- 50:47Speaker 1: take it. You gotta take it. You gotta take it
- 50:49Speaker 1: because it's yours. It's yours, but you gotta take it.
- 50:52Speaker 1: You gotta take it while somebody else is living in it.
- 50:54Speaker 1: You gotta take it while somebody else thinks it's there.
- 50:57Speaker 1: There's gonna be an altercation, but you gotta take it
- 50:59Speaker 1: by four. So that Idol said that the kingdom suffering
- 51:03Speaker 1: violence and the violence taking by force.
- 51:06Speaker 2: I want to raise up some radical people. I'm sick
- 51:09Speaker 2: of church people. I need some radical people.
- 51:12Speaker 1: The Bible said that the kingdom suffering violence and the
- 51:15Speaker 1: violent take it by force. Is ebody anybody in here
- 51:19Speaker 1: that's ready to take it by force. God told Shasuwah,
- 51:23Speaker 1: I have given you the land, but you still gotta
- 51:27Speaker 1: fight for it. Slap three people and say fight for it.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Don't just pray for it, but fight for it. Don't
- 51:34Speaker 1: just ask for it, but fight for it. You gotta
