- 0:46Speaker 1: are the Avid Endorsement.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Hello everyone, Hello, Hello, How are you pale?
- 0:54Speaker 1: Well? As you can probably hear from my my voice, Yes,
- 1:00Speaker 1: I am not at one coming to you well, thank you. Yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I got hit with the double whammy of Strap and COVID.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It was pretty brutal. I have had to miss three shows,
- 1:23Speaker 1: which thankfully we have the technology to be able to
- 1:28Speaker 1: do that. But it's the first time that that's happened
- 1:32Speaker 1: for me. The one time I did get it, it
- 1:36Speaker 1: was before we had that technology and so we had
- 1:40Speaker 1: to actually like cancel that you canceled? Yeah, Yeah, we
- 1:44Speaker 1: got to figure something out going forward because this is
- 1:48Speaker 1: going to stick around for a while and we were
- 1:50Speaker 1: right four years later for sure, that one. Yep. So yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 1: it's been Uh, it's been a big bummer. Been just
- 2:00Speaker 1: chilling in a hotel room, trying to get better. And yeah,
- 2:04Speaker 1: this is honestly the most I've talked in several days.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Oh okay, well that's good. Let me know if you
- 2:12Speaker 3: need a break at any point.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Sure, Sure, it's nice. Yeah, kind of weird. It's weird.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yeah that I remember the well we didn't talk, we're
- 2:20Speaker 3: just texting, but you were in not a great spot
- 2:23Speaker 3: that first day we talked to.
- 2:25Speaker 1: You were just like I feel like death. Yeah, basically, yeah,
- 2:29Speaker 1: I think I threw experties out. But yes, it was
- 2:32Speaker 1: really really rough. The one day where I was rocking.
- 2:36Speaker 1: The fever and all that just like fever sucked, dude,
- 2:39Speaker 1: They're just terrible fever suck. But yeah, I took a
- 2:43Speaker 1: COVID test and it turned within like thirty seconds. It's like, okay,
- 2:48Speaker 1: all caps, we better, yeah, get out of here. So yeah, man,
- 2:55Speaker 1: just trying to stay away from folks. And yeah, the
- 3:01Speaker 1: guys have a couple of days off and I'm hoping
- 3:03Speaker 1: I can be good to go here in the next
- 3:06Speaker 1: few days.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I guess the positive side is we didn't ride together
- 3:10Speaker 3: in a car on the way back from Duluth, although
- 3:14Speaker 3: at that point or.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Not, but that is very true. I don't know where
- 3:17Speaker 1: I got it. My sister also got rocked so and
- 3:21Speaker 1: I did ride on the way home.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Could have been that. It's going around dude in a
- 3:27Speaker 3: big way, so who knows. It's just one of those things,
- 3:30Speaker 3: one of those things. I actually just scheduled my booster
- 3:34Speaker 3: shot appointment.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Nice for that.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna wait till after I go camping because
- 3:40Speaker 3: I don't want to feel like poop, which actually they
- 3:43Speaker 3: haven't usually affected me very much, but.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Still some people do though.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Yeah, some people get it get it rough. I think
- 3:51Speaker 3: the first one I felt pretty fluey for a while afterward,
- 3:55Speaker 3: for like a day or so. But yeah, well you
- 3:59Speaker 3: been ah great, I mean just the best health I've
- 4:03Speaker 3: ever had, no I U yeah, good man, life is good.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Watched a bunch of sports this weekend. The weather's been,
- 4:14Speaker 3: I mean just awesome, and today like the Kings are
- 4:17Speaker 3: three and oh I can't even.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Believe that is the case. I thought we would be
- 4:22Speaker 1: one and two going into week four and.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Truly, yeah, wow, truly, truly crazy. Yeah, they look like
- 4:31Speaker 3: legit good.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It's weird. I don't know. Two of the biggest wins
- 4:35Speaker 1: we've had in five years. It's very strange. I don't
- 4:38Speaker 1: know where to think. I don't either. They never go
- 4:41Speaker 1: the way that I think they will feel never ever.
- 4:44Speaker 1: It's like I've had these pretty low expectations and they're
- 4:49Speaker 1: just doing so much better. I feel like they're just
- 4:51Speaker 1: gonna get me to like really invest and then I'm
- 4:54Speaker 1: prepared to be there and come back to last. Yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 1: we are true Minnesota fence. The Links also won their
- 5:03Speaker 1: first playoff game yesterday, which was fun, very cool.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a fun.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Game and yeah, man, just been chilling.
- 5:11Speaker 3: I'm going up to Voyager National Park this weekend with
- 5:15Speaker 3: my brother and my sister.
- 5:16Speaker 1: It will be fun. That will be Yeah, that's gonna
- 5:21Speaker 1: be great. Life's good. That's great, buddy.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah, have you been watching anything while you've been in
- 5:28Speaker 3: a hotel for ages?
- 5:30Speaker 1: I have watched so many things, so I do have
- 5:34Speaker 1: a lot that I can choose from. But I actually
- 5:36Speaker 1: I'm going to talk about one that I watched before
- 5:38Speaker 1: I got sick. I went back and watched a movie
- 5:41Speaker 1: that I wanted to see when it came out in
- 5:43Speaker 1: twenty nineteen and never did. It's called Dark Waters, featuring
- 5:50Speaker 1: Mark Ruffalo and Anne Hathaway. Yeah, what is this movie?
- 5:56Speaker 1: It is currently on Netflix. So this was the true
- 5:59Speaker 1: story of a lawyer that used to work for chemical
- 6:02Speaker 1: companies and he ends up taking a case from a
- 6:06Speaker 1: farmer whose cattle were being poisoned by the chemical company DuPont. Yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 1: so it's kind of like Aaron Brockovich a little bit,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you know, And it's the same town. I remember the
- 6:21Speaker 1: trailer was like exactly, Yeah, it's it's really not said.
- 6:29Speaker 1: It's a true story. It's pretty unbelievable what companies will
- 6:32Speaker 1: do for a profit. It's super gross. Yep, made me mad.
- 6:37Speaker 1: But Ruffalo, man, he was great. The movie as a
- 6:42Speaker 1: whole was really well acted. But it's kind of a
- 6:46Speaker 1: bumberman they i mean, just the obviously the subject, but
- 6:51Speaker 1: they keep it in these like cool colors the whole time,
- 6:54Speaker 1: so it's kind of like this bluish gray filter is
- 6:56Speaker 1: over the whole thing. Really really dreary. Yeah, not warm, Yeah,
- 7:02Speaker 1: not at all. But I would watch if you're interested
- 7:06Speaker 1: in that story or want to see like an inspiring story.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But you even though it is inspiring, you don't come
- 7:12Speaker 1: out feeling like super like happy. Yeah, you're just like,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I can't believe they would do something like this, And
- 7:20Speaker 1: then you see some stats at the end about what
- 7:24Speaker 1: this company did and how it affected the whole world,
- 7:26Speaker 1: and you're just like, it's so ridiculous.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Yeah, there's probably like hundreds of other companies doing the
- 7:34Speaker 3: same thing right now, which or whatever.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that part was really brutal. But I'd always wanted
- 7:41Speaker 1: to see it. I never did. It was for like
- 7:43Speaker 1: awards and stuff.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Back then, want to see and I never I never
- 7:47Speaker 3: did either with you.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not sure if that was like a glowing
- 7:50Speaker 1: recommendation of it, but it is worth watching.
- 7:54Speaker 3: It was positive. I took it as a positive wreck
- 7:57Speaker 3: for sure.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Nice. Yeah, well about what about you?
- 8:01Speaker 3: I went to the theater and saw a horror film
- 8:05Speaker 3: because I guess that's the thing that happens now, which
- 8:09Speaker 3: I don't love. I also don't hate, but I don't
- 8:12Speaker 3: love it. I like to I like to say it's
- 8:16Speaker 3: because then I can make Dave go see whatever dumb
- 8:19Speaker 3: movie I want to see.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Even though I feel like not a lot of those
- 8:23Speaker 1: go to the theater anymore.
- 8:24Speaker 3: But yeah, which is it's not an equitable system, but
- 8:27Speaker 3: you know, it's what we're doing. But we went and
- 8:31Speaker 3: saw Speak No Evil, that movie that just came out
- 8:34Speaker 3: two weeks ago.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Was so scary.
- 8:35Speaker 3: I think I texted you right before and you were like,
- 8:38Speaker 3: you're going to poop your pants.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You hope you brought a diaper, is what I said.
- 8:42Speaker 3: I will say, It's not as scary as I thought
- 8:45Speaker 3: it was going to be. It was intense. It was
- 8:48Speaker 3: like it felt more thrillery than like spoop suspenseful. Yeah,
- 8:56Speaker 3: really well done. It's I mean, it's it's also one
- 8:59Speaker 3: of it was one of my favorite horror movie experiences
- 9:04Speaker 3: because it was one of those where everyone was kind
- 9:06Speaker 3: of like laughing but laughing, not like this is so dumb,
- 9:10Speaker 3: but laughing just like, oh my god, this is insane,
- 9:13Speaker 3: you know, like okay, like relief of pressure kind of
- 9:16Speaker 3: laughing and stuff. And sure, it was a really fun time.
- 9:19Speaker 3: I had a great movie theater experience.
- 9:21Speaker 1: It was. It was wild.
- 9:23Speaker 3: There was a lot of people there to see it,
- 9:24Speaker 3: which was surprising. It's got James McAvoy as like the
- 9:29Speaker 3: kind of lead lead in it, and he's one hundred
- 9:34Speaker 3: percent unhinged in this movie, and it's very fun because
- 9:37Speaker 3: he's a good charismatic too at points, you know, like
- 9:41Speaker 3: he does that like really nice and then totally crazy
- 9:46Speaker 3: guy stuff. Then Mackenzie Davis.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Is in it.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Scoot McNairy, who I've seen in a number of things,
- 9:54Speaker 3: but I can't Yeah, what has he been.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I feel like he's been in some TV stuff for sure. Yeah,
- 10:01Speaker 1: he was in Argo, Yep, Yep, he was one of
- 10:05Speaker 1: the hostages. Yeah. And then he was in Oh No,
- 10:09Speaker 1: I think him. I don't think it was justified though,
- 10:14Speaker 1: but something like that, I think you're anyway. I can't
- 10:18Speaker 1: immediately find it, but he's he's really good in this too.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And so it was Mackenzie Davis and then.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Eisling friend Sulassie I'm sure I'm saying that right obviously
- 10:32Speaker 3: is in this and I didn't really know her from
- 10:35Speaker 3: much of anything. She's been in a few things back
- 10:37Speaker 3: in the day, but she was great. She was James
- 10:41Speaker 3: McAvoy's wife in this film, and I think she was great.
- 10:44Speaker 3: And it's just about two couples and there they each
- 10:48Speaker 3: have a kid, and like it seems like it's one
- 10:51Speaker 3: way and then it turns into another. It's not like
- 10:53Speaker 3: an original idea necessarily or anything. But it's fun, it's suspensable,
- 10:58Speaker 3: and it's actually pretty well done and well acted, so
- 11:01Speaker 3: it's worth seeing.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I think I saw that it was a remake of
- 11:04Speaker 1: like a film.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Okay, that would totally make sense.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I liked it though.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I thought it was really fun, So I would recommend
- 11:14Speaker 3: if you like that kind of thing that's sort of
- 11:16Speaker 3: like psychological kind of thrillery, but still definitely a horror
- 11:21Speaker 3: movie with.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Some jump scares and stuff. You like this. It's a
- 11:23Speaker 1: good time, cool man, Have you been streaming things I have? Yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I'm watching the new mini series on Peacock featuring Kevin Hart,
- 11:36Speaker 1: Jah P. Hanson, Don Cheetle, Samuel L. Jackson, Terrence Howard.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It's an insane cast is called Fight Night The Million
- 11:47Speaker 1: Dollar Heist, and I've watched all the episodes that are
- 11:53Speaker 1: out currently, which is five. It sounds like there's going
- 11:56Speaker 1: to be eight episodes, and yeah, it's fun man. It's
- 12:01Speaker 1: set in the seventies in Atlanta, and it's when Muhammad
- 12:07Speaker 1: Ali has this comeback. Fight cool and yeah, Kevin Hart
- 12:12Speaker 1: plays this con man that gets caught up with some
- 12:15Speaker 1: really bad dudes and gets into a ton of Trouble.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Samuel Jackson is one of the really bad dudes, and
- 12:21Speaker 1: he plays that.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Role so well perfectly.
- 12:26Speaker 1: It's so awesome. I feel like I haven't seen him
- 12:28Speaker 1: play like a gangster in a really long time.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Yeah, he's been a lot of like lovable people for
- 12:33Speaker 3: a long time.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Now he can do it. He can do it all.
- 12:36Speaker 1: That's awesome. But he is so good in that role.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I'm really enjoying it so far. There was a guy
- 12:43Speaker 1: that was playing Muhammad Ali in the first few episodes,
- 12:46Speaker 1: really really good. He sounded a lot like him. His
- 12:49Speaker 1: name's Dexter Dardin. But yeah, I'm digging it so far.
- 12:54Speaker 1: And yeah, that's on Peacock, so you know, just one
- 12:59Speaker 1: more and to go to that streaming service that I
- 13:03Speaker 1: pay for.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Which is so funny because I feel like I saw
- 13:07Speaker 3: that so much during the football game that was on there,
- 13:10Speaker 3: or the couple that I've watched on there.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean, that's that's why I checked it out.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I certainly don't like go to Peacock all the time.
- 13:18Speaker 1: What's the next thing out? But they actually have quite
- 13:20Speaker 1: a few movies and now it looks like they're getting
- 13:23Speaker 1: pretty serious shows. That's cool. Just another streaming service you
- 13:27Speaker 1: can buy.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Oh that Dexter Darden guy. He was in the maze
- 13:30Speaker 3: Runner series.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I can see one of those they did. They're they're
- 13:36Speaker 1: pretty okay, okay, I mean I probably won't watch them. No,
- 13:41Speaker 1: I wouldn't worry about it. You know. It was like
- 13:43Speaker 1: the let's make something like the Hunger Games situation.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Right.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I kind of felt like that with Divergent too. I
- 13:50Speaker 1: didn't watch any of those.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Said, these are way better than the Divergent ones. Actually,
- 13:54Speaker 3: the first maze Runner is really fun actually, okay, because
- 13:57Speaker 3: it's kind of thrillery as well. It's it's interesting mystery almost.
- 14:03Speaker 3: They go a little off the off the rails after that.
- 14:06Speaker 3: That's not what I'm here to talk about, though.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Cool. I'm sorry. Yeah, yeah, I'll check out Fight Night
- 14:16Speaker 1: if you if that sounds like something you want to
- 14:19Speaker 1: check out. I love it, truly good. I love it.
- 14:23Speaker 3: I have watched Should I say this no, I can
- 14:26Speaker 3: talk about it now and talk about it. The old
- 14:28Speaker 3: Disney plus uh Agatha all along.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I watched the first two, I believe I still haven't.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I still haven't watched it yet. And I've been in
- 14:38Speaker 1: a hotel room and.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I've got there's two of them waiting for you, and
- 14:43Speaker 3: they are weird and fun cool. Yeah, they're they're spooky,
- 14:47Speaker 3: they're fun. There's some really fun actors in them. I
- 14:54Speaker 3: don't really want to tell you because not that they're
- 14:56Speaker 3: like surprises, but I didn't know any of these folks
- 14:58Speaker 3: were in them, so that's yeah, we know Han Catherine
- 15:03Speaker 3: Han isn't it and she's amazing. And then there's just
- 15:06Speaker 3: other folks around. And I will say, like it's a
- 15:10Speaker 3: it is a stylized experience, kind of like WandaVision, So
- 15:16Speaker 3: it might not be everyone's thing. I really happen to
- 15:19Speaker 3: like that. I think it's really fun and at least
- 15:24Speaker 3: by the end of episode two, I was like I
- 15:27Speaker 3: was pretty much in the whole time, but the end
- 15:29Speaker 3: of episode two, I was like, hell, yeah, let's go.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I will watch whatever you guys want me to hear.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I mean, so it's it's really fun and weird, and
- 15:38Speaker 3: it's almost strange that it's in the Marvel universe because
- 15:41Speaker 3: it doesn't really feel like any of those other projects.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Almost sure, it's a good time, man. I really liked
- 15:46Speaker 3: it so Disney Plus, if you're into that sort of thing,
- 15:49Speaker 3: you I think you'll like it.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I think I will too. I love her so much.
- 15:54Speaker 3: She's she's fantastic in everything ever basically and this is
- 16:00Speaker 3: no exception.
- 16:01Speaker 1: To that rule. For sure.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Nice, She's lovely, lovely, Yeah, so check that out. Should
- 16:07Speaker 3: we do a few plugger runs?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we should. Nice.
- 16:11Speaker 3: You guys can physics as always over on the Twitter machine,

- 17:01Speaker 1: draft that pertains to the movie that we're talking about,
- 17:04Speaker 1: and for this one, we came up with our top
- 17:07Speaker 1: five favorite pregnancy slash baby films.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Oh I forgot the baby part. Okay, I'm gonna have
- 17:15Speaker 3: a different list. I did all pregnancy. That's my bad.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I mean it is now they're more pregnancy than baby
- 17:22Speaker 1: movies a couple. I was like, I don't know that
- 17:25Speaker 1: they're ever pregnant in that.
- 17:27Speaker 3: That'll be fun.
- 17:28Speaker 1: No, I like it, I love it. That'll be great. Yeah,
- 17:30Speaker 1: it should be. It should be a good one. Fantastic.
- 17:33Speaker 1: That'll be fun.
- 17:35Speaker 3: And yeah, coming attractions also, stay tuned. We're going to
- 17:38Speaker 3: talk about fight Club next time, so hey, that'll be amazing.
- 17:42Speaker 1: The number one rule we don't talk about fight Well.
- 17:44Speaker 3: We're gonna break the first rule and then probably several
- 17:47Speaker 3: rules after that because we are Bob.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I don't remember remember his name. His name was Robert Paulson. Paulson,
- 17:58Speaker 1: Robert Paulson. Damn it, I have to say the whole quote. Yeah,
- 18:02Speaker 1: I should have done that. That would help me.
- 18:03Speaker 3: That was like, that was like, how many times have
- 18:06Speaker 3: I said I have nipples? Greg?
- 18:08Speaker 1: Can you milk me, and I still didn't get greg
- 18:12Speaker 1: for the question. The other day, I was like, what.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Damn it, I should have just said the thing. Anyway,
- 18:18Speaker 3: come on back for Fight Club. It's going to be
- 18:20Speaker 3: a great time. We're here today, though, to talk about
- 18:23Speaker 3: a movie that is basically the spiritual successor to Fight
- 18:26Speaker 3: Club or predecessor. I guess because it came out first.
- 18:31Speaker 1: That's not true. They're wildly, very very different, wildly.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Different from nineteen hundred and eighty nine. We're here to
- 18:39Speaker 3: talk about Look who's.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Talking, Look who's talking? Thirty fifth anniversary.
- 18:45Speaker 3: That's pretty wild. That's pretty wild. It feels it at points.
- 18:49Speaker 3: But I'm really getting ahead of myself, Rob, Will you
- 18:52Speaker 3: get a started with just a rough synopsis.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Absolutely the romantic ups and downs of accounted Molly Jens
- 19:00Speaker 1: interviewed cynically by a most unusual bystander, her talking newborn Mikey.
- 19:08Speaker 1: She becomes pregnant through an affair with the married man Albert,
- 19:11Speaker 1: and then counts on the friendship of taxi driver James
- 19:14Speaker 1: once she discovers Albert is a lying cad as they say,
- 19:19Speaker 1: although Mikey likes James and James cares for both the
- 19:23Speaker 1: baby and Molly. She isn't sure she can settle down
- 19:26Speaker 1: with a blue collar boyfriend. Wow, okay, nice nice read,
- 19:33Speaker 1: nice read.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Thanks, Like we were taking shots at her personality there
- 19:37Speaker 3: at the end, but okay, a little.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Bit seems good for her character. I don't know, I'm dumb.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Let's go to Rotten Tomatoes what they have to say.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Don't you say that? Critics have this coming in at
- 19:48Speaker 1: a rock solid fifty eight percent. But this is a
- 19:52Speaker 1: much lower score than I was expecting. On both accounts.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I'm shocked.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Actually, yeah, because audience rumers haven't even lo more than
- 20:00Speaker 3: that at forty seven percent.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Honestly, like it just revered. I thought that it was
- 20:07Speaker 1: kind of Yeah, I thought that people liked this movie.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I know that it's not one that everybody's like, hey,
- 20:12Speaker 1: let's talk about this Mavie that's thirty five years old.
- 20:14Speaker 1: But that low, Yeah, that's surprising to lower than a
- 20:19Speaker 1: lot of movies that are much worse than it. I
- 20:21Speaker 1: feel I'm confused by it.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Yeah, did something weird happened now?
- 20:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. I mean, maybe those
- 20:30Speaker 1: people aren't like as likable as they were back then.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I'm still but still I feel like, even if you
- 20:38Speaker 3: don't like it, it's still like a fine time, right, Like,
- 20:41Speaker 3: I can't imagine anyone being like.
- 20:42Speaker 1: That movie sucked, right, and especially audiences. Yeah, but even
- 20:49Speaker 1: critics like I'm I'm, I'm I was very surprised by it.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with you, with you, Well, let's just get in.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Let's ignore everyone else. Let's be proper Americans, ignore what
- 20:59Speaker 3: everyone else says, and only.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Talking about what we think.
- 21:02Speaker 3: And Robin's time for our hot take.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Hot take, that's a hot take. That's a hot Oh formula. Oh,
- 21:12Speaker 4: you put it in the thing too long, it's too hot.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Nice? Nice, You're dead that I still got. I got
- 21:20Speaker 1: the dumbs. I was gonna go with the diaper joke.
- 21:23Speaker 3: So I think you you did the right thing. Okay,
- 21:26Speaker 3: we made it up. I will go first. I love
- 21:30Speaker 3: this movie a ton.
- 21:31Speaker 5: Uh.
- 21:31Speaker 3: This is one we watched a lot when I.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Was a kid.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Cool, or at least it felt that It's always hard
- 21:38Speaker 3: like kid memories are so selective.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I feel like sometimes I.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Remember watching this one a ton back in the day
- 21:46Speaker 3: and the sequels and all that good stuff. I was
- 21:50Speaker 3: instantly reminded that the music in it is maybe one
- 21:53Speaker 3: of the best parts of it, because.
- 21:55Speaker 1: There are some salamours in this movie. Dude, dude, yes, well,
- 21:59Speaker 1: I know we both love My Love Opens the Door
- 22:04Speaker 1: a Ton another one of my favorite upbeat songs, Walking
- 22:07Speaker 1: on Sunshine. Dude, me too, I love it. I love
- 22:10Speaker 1: those two songs and then the beach Boys I get around.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I mean that's what I think. I've started a movie
- 22:15Speaker 1: right away. Yeah, I love that. So the music in
- 22:18Speaker 1: this is a plus. I'm with her loving a Ton.
- 22:23Speaker 3: There's some great information about how babies are made, which
- 22:26Speaker 3: is nice.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Good to know.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Amy Heckerling wrote and directed this movie, and I have
- 22:35Speaker 3: come to find out that I love basically everything she's
- 22:39Speaker 3: ever worked on. She also wrote directed Clueless. What were
- 22:43Speaker 3: the other ones? I should have had them pulled?
- 22:45Speaker 1: She did? She directed Fast Times a Richmond. I liked
- 22:49Speaker 1: that a lot. She directed National Lampoon's European Vacation as well.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Yeah, so she's been out here. She's working, which is super,
- 22:57Speaker 3: super fun. And she even did that. She did that
- 23:01Speaker 3: tennis show I liked too. I should have written it down.
- 23:04Speaker 1: What was a tennis show like a TV? It was
- 23:08Speaker 1: a TV show. It was on Amazon back in the day.
- 23:13Speaker 1: On tennis you can't find it. It was like a
- 23:15Speaker 1: tennis club in this like seventies or something.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Red Oaks.
- 23:19Speaker 1: It was called I've never even heard.
- 23:22Speaker 3: It was only like six episodes long.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I don't think they ever renewed it. I really liked
- 23:27Speaker 1: it though. It was fun. Oh, I liked it quite
- 23:29Speaker 1: a lot. Cool.
- 23:31Speaker 3: So if you ever want to watch that, it's kind
- 23:33Speaker 3: of a fun seventies weird.
- 23:35Speaker 1: It's a comedy show. It's a good time. It's good cool.
- 23:40Speaker 3: But anyway, all that to say, I really like her
- 23:42Speaker 3: work a lot. I think she does some great stuff
- 23:45Speaker 3: and this is included in that for me, because I
- 23:48Speaker 3: think this movie's fun. I think it's a silly, good time.
- 23:51Speaker 3: It sort of like touches on being an adult at
- 23:54Speaker 3: this time of great change, which you know all about,
- 23:57Speaker 3: and I feel like I know something about from friends,
- 23:59Speaker 3: and you know when they start having kids and stuff
- 24:02Speaker 3: and it's a weird time and people are tired and
- 24:05Speaker 3: don't know what's happening and all the things. And to
- 24:08Speaker 3: have the baby making these funny comments and stuff is
- 24:12Speaker 3: I think really fun comedy.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I don't know. I liked it a ton.
- 24:15Speaker 3: I continued to like it. There are parts of it
- 24:17Speaker 3: that don't age particularly well, like what just like a
- 24:24Speaker 3: general like women working is a weird thing still, you know,
- 24:31Speaker 3: like a little bit of that, not like a ton sure,
- 24:33Speaker 3: the one dude is a cad for sure.
- 24:36Speaker 1: A lion cat absolutely cad for sure.
- 24:40Speaker 3: But yeah, it's just like stuff.
- 24:41Speaker 1: There's nothing like huge. Yeah, because I actually felt like it.
- 24:46Speaker 1: It held up way better than I was expecting.
- 24:48Speaker 3: It, agreed, Agreed, it's more just like cultural, like like
- 24:53Speaker 3: the lesbian stuff. They really they play up the lesbian part,
- 24:56Speaker 3: which isn't bad, and they don't say.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Like, oh you're a lesbian, that's weird.
- 25:00Speaker 3: But it was like, I feel like now you would
- 25:03Speaker 3: say that and they'd be like, oh no, I'm straight,
- 25:05Speaker 3: and they'd be like, okay, cool like and then it
- 25:07Speaker 3: was like it was a punchline a couple of times.
- 25:10Speaker 1: You know. John Chiwolta definitely made that a punch line
- 25:13Speaker 1: at one point.
- 25:13Speaker 3: You're right, yeah, for sure, So like but nothing, you know,
- 25:16Speaker 3: I'm not trying to like give it a hard time.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I don't.
- 25:18Speaker 3: I think it did, like you said, held up pretty well.
- 25:23Speaker 3: My hottest take though, is I we really got to
- 25:26Speaker 3: stop watching movies that we watched when we were younger
- 25:30Speaker 3: because it hurt my feelings so much when they talked
- 25:33Speaker 3: about how old she was and then she was thirty three,
- 25:38Speaker 3: and I was like.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Come on, man, yeah, yeah that was several years ago
- 25:43Speaker 1: when I was thirty three. Yep. But I mean that
- 25:46Speaker 1: was always a thing though, when you're in your thirties
- 25:49Speaker 1: to like start having kids, especially women when they could
- 25:53Speaker 1: actually do it. But I feel like that's gotten so
- 25:55Speaker 1: much older. It definitely has. I was just like, damn,
- 25:59Speaker 1: damn thirty three.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Yeah, come on, I'm just getting started right hopefully, my guys, nobody.
- 26:04Speaker 1: That's a That's a good hot take. I like that.
- 26:07Speaker 3: That's the hottest stick I have. But otherwise, yeah, I
- 26:09Speaker 3: like this movie a lot.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Nice man hot take. Yeah. I also saw this one
- 26:16Speaker 1: quite a few times when I was a kid, but
- 26:19Speaker 1: I have not revisited this in the last thirty years.
- 26:21Speaker 1: That's a good point. Same here. This is not one
- 26:24Speaker 1: I rewatched, I don't think ever since I was like
- 26:27Speaker 1: ten or something. I know, like from like the first
- 26:31Speaker 1: five years that it was out, I probably watched it
- 26:33Speaker 1: a bunch and then never again. So yeah, I didn't
- 26:37Speaker 1: really know what to expect, and I was I was
- 26:40Speaker 1: into it. Yeah, I thought it was funny. I thought
- 26:43Speaker 1: it was written really well. I don't think anyone had
- 26:47Speaker 1: ever put in an inner monologue to what a baby
- 26:51Speaker 1: is really thinking before, and I found that so funny.
- 26:55Speaker 1: It's charming, entertaining. Those are my my favorite parts of
- 27:00Speaker 1: the movie are when he's just like chatting with the
- 27:03Speaker 1: other babies. It is hilarious.
- 27:05Speaker 3: And also like they pretty clearly had the video first
- 27:09Speaker 3: before they did like the voiceover, because he's like, you know,
- 27:12Speaker 3: making comments like the kid drop something. He's like, oh,
- 27:15Speaker 3: I'm just gonna put that down right there, and then
- 27:17Speaker 3: you know, I thought that.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Was so fun I really liked it. That was awesome
- 27:21Speaker 1: with you. I also enjoyed. I enjoyed all the daydreaming
- 27:26Speaker 1: that Christie have, like picturing her life with some of
- 27:29Speaker 1: these men she was dating totally, and then with John
- 27:32Speaker 1: Travolta's character as well. Oh yeah, yeah, I thought it
- 27:37Speaker 1: was really well cast. I thought that, you know, John
- 27:43Speaker 1: Travolta was a bigger name back in the day, but
- 27:46Speaker 1: I don't think he had done much leading up to that. Yeah,
- 27:49Speaker 1: that's fair. And then Christy Ally was on her cheers run,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I think, but I think that was a big deal
- 27:55Speaker 1: at the time to make the jump from TV to movies.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I think you're right about that, and so yeah, and
- 28:03Speaker 1: I thought all like the side little supporting characters were
- 28:08Speaker 1: good as well. The kids were really good, kids were great.
- 28:13Speaker 1: So yeah, I was. I was impressed with the cast.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I have nothing too crazy. Hot take solid, well written,
- 28:21Speaker 1: funny comedy, held it better than I expected. And I'm
- 28:25Speaker 1: shocked at those rotten Tomato scores. Agreed, hot take hot
- 28:31Speaker 1: thank you, thank you.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Well. Should we talk about our favorite acting performance? Shall
- 28:36Speaker 3: we name the dude the dude?
- 28:39Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm the dude, So that's what you call me,
- 28:42Speaker 5: you know that, or his dude or duder or you know,
- 28:48Speaker 5: eldudo reno. If you're not into the whole brevity thing, why.
- 28:51Speaker 3: Don't you go first, bud?
- 28:52Speaker 1: Who's your dude? So this was tough, that's while you
- 28:56Speaker 1: were going first, Okay, all right? Yeah, it was a
- 29:00Speaker 1: fifty to fifty for me. And I think I think
- 29:03Speaker 1: I'm just gonna go crystiality as Molly.
- 29:06Speaker 3: I think that's Joe.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Yeah, she was. She was pretty funny in this, and
- 29:13Speaker 1: I get the like eighties nineties christiality appeal. She had
- 29:18Speaker 1: a fun vibe. Her like breathy, cracky voice was cool.
- 29:25Speaker 1: She was very attractive.
- 29:26Speaker 3: She's beautiful, but like also believable that you could just
- 29:30Speaker 3: see someone that beautiful on.
- 29:31Speaker 1: The street, not just like you know what I mean, like, yeah,
- 29:35Speaker 1: not like your typical like Hollywood, you know, blonde whatever. Yeah,
- 29:40Speaker 1: she beauty, she's super super attractive. I'm with you, absolutely, no,
- 29:46Speaker 1: I feel you. Yeah, but I thought she was I
- 29:49Speaker 1: thought she was really good in this. Yeah, and you
- 29:54Speaker 1: I believed her. I believed her in in all of it. Yeah,
- 29:58Speaker 1: I love it. That sweet. I agree. I think that's
- 30:02Speaker 1: the right choice. I did.
- 30:03Speaker 3: I had trouble too, because it was like, I don't know,
- 30:06Speaker 3: nothing like stands out. But she does a great job
- 30:10Speaker 3: of going between like exasperated but also happy but standing
- 30:14Speaker 3: up for herself and like she's mad sometimes I don't know.
- 30:17Speaker 1: She she goes on.
- 30:18Speaker 3: A whole journey, and it was very she had very
- 30:22Speaker 3: reasonable responses to like parent things I feel like too,
- 30:25Speaker 3: which is really cool and probably hard to do in
- 30:29Speaker 3: like a believable way. So yeah, I thought she was
- 30:31Speaker 3: awesome and they had great chemistry. Like Jent Travolta was
- 30:36Speaker 3: great in this too. We can just talk about him
- 30:39Speaker 3: here I'm guessing, but he is super fun and like
- 30:43Speaker 3: kind of a skive but not not like a skivy guy,
- 30:47Speaker 3: if that makes sense, right, Like he's he's not like
- 30:50Speaker 3: a standard dude, but he's not like lying to people
- 30:54Speaker 3: and cheating and stealing and stuff. He's just kind of like,
- 30:57Speaker 3: you know, pushing the envelope a little bit.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I felt like, yeah, a little questionable morals, but still
- 31:03Speaker 1: a good guy deep down.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Like ultimately he's not going to do anything to really
- 31:08Speaker 3: screw anyone over, but if he can take advantage of
- 31:10Speaker 3: a situation, he's not against that, you know, like right,
- 31:14Speaker 3: kind of anti heroe a little bit while also being
- 31:17Speaker 3: this cool guy. I also loved that they didn't go
- 31:21Speaker 3: the romantic route right away with them, Like we don't
- 31:23Speaker 3: always see platonic relationships, and it really did feel, honest
- 31:29Speaker 3: like it was platonic at the beginning, right like, and
- 31:32Speaker 3: then grew into something more.
- 31:33Speaker 1: And I thought that was fun. But I really liked
- 31:35Speaker 1: him in this and I did too. You could tell
- 31:38Speaker 1: he felt comfortable in that role. Yeah, I saw that
- 31:42Speaker 1: he felt like this role was the closest to who
- 31:44Speaker 1: he is in real life. I read that too. I
- 31:45Speaker 1: was like, Oh, this was in some of the trivia,
- 31:47Speaker 1: and I was like, that really comes through because he
- 31:52Speaker 1: he just looked very comfortable. He was funny and charming.
- 31:56Speaker 1: I would imagine that a lot of women had crushes
- 31:58Speaker 1: on him after this got to right, Yeah, you know,
- 32:01Speaker 1: because he was so good with Mikey. Yeah. I just
- 32:07Speaker 1: I thought it was a really fun role for him.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Yeah, and kind of wonderful to see. We don't know
- 32:11Speaker 3: see dudes like in positive parenting roles either, not like
- 32:18Speaker 3: I don't know, we usually see them like, oh, they're
- 32:20Speaker 3: making the money and whatever. But he was just like,
- 32:23Speaker 3: like just a nice guy you would trust with your kids.
- 32:25Speaker 1: And he was cool and I don't know, I liked
- 32:27Speaker 1: that too. Yeah, treated as his grandpa.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Well yeah yeah, just like a car guy even I
- 32:33Speaker 3: mean even her, Like he just was like, oh, you
- 32:35Speaker 3: might need some help.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I can I can do that. I can come hang
- 32:37Speaker 1: out every once in a while or whatever. Yeah. Yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 1: I love it. That's fun.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Well cool, that's the dude. Should we talk about some
- 32:44Speaker 3: of these supporting people. Shall we name the Tucci the
- 32:48Speaker 3: Tucci Award?
- 32:50Speaker 1: Nice? Why don't you go first? Oh that's a good one.
- 32:55Speaker 1: This is heart Well, I mean spoiler, I would have
- 33:00Speaker 1: had John. Yeah, me too, I prohould have brought him up.
- 33:04Speaker 1: But aside from the two main leads.
- 33:07Speaker 3: George Segal is uh. He is a line cat, as
- 33:10Speaker 3: we've covered a couple of times already.
- 33:12Speaker 1: But he's really good at it, Like I really was good.
- 33:16Speaker 3: He is a lovably hateable character, I will say, and
- 33:21Speaker 3: I just I like.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Him as an actor too. He's really fun. Just shoot me.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Was so great back in the day and just shoot me.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Did you watch The Goldbergs? No? I never did watch
- 33:30Speaker 1: The Goldbergs. The Goldbergs was really fun. I should check
- 33:33Speaker 1: that out. A couple of people have mentioned that to
- 33:35Speaker 1: me over the years, and his character was really fun.
- 33:37Speaker 1: So they were filming The Goldbergs on the Sony lot
- 33:40Speaker 1: when we were doing and so I saw that cast
- 33:44Speaker 1: quite a bit and I saw him go through quite
- 33:46Speaker 1: a bit. That's really cool. Yeah, he's he was great.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Not sure he's a funny. He's a funny actor. I
- 33:52Speaker 3: believe he's past.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Now, Yeah, I think within the last like five years ago.
- 33:59Speaker 1: But yeah, I thought he was great. I won't steal
- 34:04Speaker 1: from you before you get to name yours. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:06Speaker 1: he sucks. I mean, yeah, obviously, John Travolta. But at
- 34:12Speaker 1: my backup, you know, now that you say George Siegel,
- 34:18Speaker 1: I would I would probably say that. But I also
- 34:22Speaker 1: just think of Bruce Willis as Mikey.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fair so fun.
- 34:26Speaker 1: He's used his voice for a baby, you know, kind
- 34:31Speaker 1: of that New Yorker baby. Is hilarious. Totally.
- 34:35Speaker 3: It did make me miss Bruce too, like, knowing all
- 34:37Speaker 3: his stuff that he's going through, I was like, oh yeah,
- 34:39Speaker 3: because he's so charming and fun like a bummer. But yeah,
- 34:43Speaker 3: he was wonderful. And I assume, like I didn't really
- 34:48Speaker 3: read any of this, but like that must have been
- 34:50Speaker 3: a fair amount ad lib dish, right, like gotta be.
- 34:55Speaker 1: So that's pretty cool. That's fun.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I like that. I think of a Pagoda
- 35:00Speaker 3: a lot when I think of.
- 35:01Speaker 1: This movie as well. I love him so much, just
- 35:05Speaker 1: like that toothless when he's talking, it's like back back.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I just picture his mouth kind of flapping it. I'm busy,
- 35:13Speaker 1: you know, I'm bay you eat it? Yeah, just so great,
- 35:18Speaker 1: so great. Olympia Ducoccus is fun in this. She's not
- 35:22Speaker 1: in a ton dude. She's always great everything that I've
- 35:25Speaker 1: ever seen her in. She always kind of plays that
- 35:27Speaker 1: kind of judgy mom slash grandma. She's so good at
- 35:31Speaker 1: it though, she's really good at it. She's so funny too. Yeah,
- 35:35Speaker 1: I love her a lot. She's really good. Yeah. Her friend,
- 35:42Speaker 1: her friend Twinkcaplin was the only other person to put
- 35:45Speaker 1: a lot.
- 35:46Speaker 3: She was good.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Yeah, she was really good. That's a good point. Not
- 35:50Speaker 1: a ton, not a ton to do, but she was good. Fun.
- 35:54Speaker 3: That don S David, who was the delivering doctor. He
- 35:58Speaker 3: was just in a ton of stuff over the He's
- 36:00Speaker 3: been in so many I can picture him in like
- 36:03Speaker 3: a like a military uniform too. I think he must
- 36:06Speaker 3: have played a military guy, like a bunch or something,
- 36:09Speaker 3: because I have that same picture in my brain.
- 36:12Speaker 1: But he was fun that I agree, that's kind of
- 36:15Speaker 1: And that was about it. Yeah. The other kid voices
- 36:18Speaker 1: I guess there because they were Yeah they were.
- 36:21Speaker 3: But yeah, all right, Well should we go through and
- 36:26Speaker 3: do our favorite scene?
- 36:27Speaker 1: Time to name the Dangas so is quite simple, really, Dingus, Dingus.
- 36:33Speaker 3: I could talk about my dingas all night long. Chester.
- 36:36Speaker 1: When I think of this movie, tell me everything I
- 36:39Speaker 1: think of the beach Boys, I get around with the
- 36:42Speaker 1: sperm traveling.
- 36:43Speaker 3: To thee hundred thousand percent agreed.
- 36:47Speaker 1: That is just what I think of, And honestly, I
- 36:50Speaker 1: thought it was the opening credits. It is. It's like,
- 36:54Speaker 1: it's not the very first thing that happens in the
- 36:57Speaker 1: movie comes in like five or ten minutes in or
- 37:01Speaker 1: what after the first part of it, you know what
- 37:05Speaker 1: I meant. So I thought it came in quicker than
- 37:09Speaker 1: it did. But yeah, it's you just get the you
- 37:14Speaker 1: get the commentary from all the sperm running through you here,
- 37:17Speaker 1: Bruce in there, so good, Come on, guys, let's go.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Let's go this way. Oh I think I see something
- 37:21Speaker 1: out there. Oh wow, I just think it's so funny.
- 37:25Speaker 1: I don't it's so good. I'm with you. Yeah, So,
- 37:30Speaker 1: I mean I think that because it's what I think of,
- 37:35Speaker 1: I would say that, But there are other scenes.
- 37:37Speaker 3: I wrote it down for sure. I wrote that down
- 37:39Speaker 3: for sure.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Which which one did you think? Oh, that's a good question.
- 37:45Speaker 3: I think I would have picked that. That was high
- 37:47Speaker 3: up on my list.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Or honestly, anytime the baby, especially when the baby is
- 37:52Speaker 1: in utero, is so funny to me, Like that whole
- 37:56Speaker 1: all of that is great to me. Yeah, I love
- 37:59Speaker 1: all that.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Let's see the Cry Cry Baby montage another great tune
- 38:06Speaker 3: which I love the crack crap.
- 38:10Speaker 1: It's just so great. I love that so like the
- 38:14Speaker 1: kind of growing pains. Yeah, yeah, I feel like her
- 38:17Speaker 1: early figuring out parenting. Yeah, let see. Yeah, they had
- 38:23Speaker 1: a few montages. They really did. They love a montage.
- 38:27Speaker 1: I felt personally they had to get from like a
- 38:30Speaker 1: baby baby to like kind of toddler.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Yeah, which they did well. Like I bought it.
- 38:36Speaker 1: It worked, It was fine.
- 38:38Speaker 3: I felt personally attacked when she was crying to the commercial,
- 38:41Speaker 3: I felt like that was rude. Oh I put when
- 38:47Speaker 3: the kids are having the chat while they're in their
- 38:49Speaker 3: strollers and the one girl is complaining about her haircut
- 38:52Speaker 3: so funny. And then they're in the I coupled that
- 38:54Speaker 3: together with when they're in the sandbox absolutely.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Laughing and stuff. I just love that. I thought it
- 39:00Speaker 1: was so so funny. I really liked that a lot. Yeah,
- 39:04Speaker 1: them all talking together is that's just scle It's so funny.
- 39:09Speaker 1: I definitely wrote that down. My main scene that I
- 39:13Speaker 1: would write down is the date where she goes out
- 39:16Speaker 1: with the ball guy and John Travolte gives him the
- 39:19Speaker 1: bad intel to like not pay for anything. She hates
- 39:24Speaker 1: it when you open up doors for her and stuff like.
- 39:28Speaker 1: I thought that was pretty great. And then that guy
- 39:32Speaker 1: pretty much just talks about his bab movements the whole
- 39:35Speaker 1: date and then he's super miffed when she doesn't want
- 39:39Speaker 1: to like get romantic later, just like, yeah, I broke.
- 39:46Speaker 1: I love that. That's really funny. I thought that's I
- 39:49Speaker 1: didn't really remember that scene, and it was pretty funny.
- 39:52Speaker 3: I another one that I can remember watching a ton
- 39:56Speaker 3: when I was a kid or laughing at a ton
- 39:58Speaker 3: was the White trash he kind of scene being a
- 40:03Speaker 3: father like crappy lettuce and all that stuff. I could
- 40:07Speaker 3: just remember that so vividly when I was a kid,
- 40:09Speaker 3: and and that scene is pretty funny still.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Look, Yeah, that was pretty good. Yeah I like that.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Uh and that first scene when he's panicking driving through
- 40:21Speaker 1: the streets trying to get her to the hospital and stuff.
- 40:24Speaker 3: That's pretty that's a pretty fun.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Like actiony kind of scene.
- 40:28Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 40:28Speaker 1: I liked that. That was fun. They had some funny
- 40:31Speaker 1: beats in there and you know, like stuff going on.
- 40:34Speaker 1: I liked all that for surely.
- 40:37Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm with you, it's to get around, for sure.
- 40:42Speaker 1: It's so funny.
- 40:43Speaker 3: I don't know why it's stuck with us. Rob we
- 40:45Speaker 3: were destined to be a cappella people.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Well, I think that's a great dingus. I think we
- 40:54Speaker 1: should take that. It's well, let's uh, let's move on
- 40:59Speaker 1: to some of our favorite quotes, and let's shoe me
- 41:01Speaker 1: the money, show me the money show.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Do you want to go first on this one?
- 41:12Speaker 1: Sure, you go first. James like, are you thinking what
- 41:17Speaker 1: I'm thinking? He's talking to a lady who has uh
- 41:23Speaker 1: some cleavage happening, and Mikey responds with, yeah, lunch, lunch,
- 41:29Speaker 1: it was pretty great. I love that. Molly says, so
- 41:34Speaker 1: you're the one who is kicking me when Mikey's born.
- 41:36Speaker 1: He's like, well, you're the one who had all that
- 41:38Speaker 1: spicy food. It's so funny. I love that. Pretty great.
- 41:45Speaker 1: What else we got here? Oh? One that I always
- 41:47Speaker 1: thought was funny. They're like yelling at each other. I
- 41:52Speaker 1: think it's after John Travolta realizes that George Siegel is
- 41:59Speaker 1: the father and uh, you know, she had been lying
- 42:03Speaker 1: to him saying, oh, yeah it was conceived whatever, and
- 42:08Speaker 1: he's like, no, you stop, I've seen you. I've seen
- 42:10Speaker 1: you use Mikey you push guys away, and now you're
- 42:12Speaker 1: going to do it to me. Now that's it. I've
- 42:14Speaker 1: had it. Now get out. She's like, I live here.
- 42:17Speaker 1: He's like I know it, and then pauses and then
- 42:21Speaker 1: he leaves. But I thought that that was well act out.
- 42:25Speaker 1: It's wonderful. It was fun.
- 42:28Speaker 3: That's like a that's like I tried a true bit too.
- 42:30Speaker 3: I feel like, you know, like get in a fight,
- 42:33Speaker 3: you know whatever.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that. I liked that. That's good. When
- 42:39Speaker 1: James and Molly kiss, this is at the very end, UH,
- 42:44Speaker 1: and Mike is like, boy, I hope they don't get
- 42:45Speaker 1: stuck together like that. And then he he's like, should
- 42:51Speaker 1: I tell him I need a new diaper? Nah? Oh wow?
- 42:55Speaker 1: Just the look the look on his face, he's got
- 42:57Speaker 1: this like grin. Yeah, it's so cute. I love that.
- 43:02Speaker 1: The toddler one was like, yeah. The last one I'll
- 43:07Speaker 1: say is when she brings Mikey in to UH to
- 43:15Speaker 1: meet his real father and he was just not being great.
- 43:19Speaker 1: But he's like, is he taking a dump? She's like no,
- 43:23Speaker 1: he's thinking real hard. I thought that was pretty good,
- 43:26Speaker 1: pretty wonderful, pretty wonderful. What do you got?
- 43:30Speaker 3: I love it let's see. I just when they go
- 43:35Speaker 3: into the room right after Mikey is born, and there's
- 43:38Speaker 3: all the babies in there and they're all just like
- 43:41Speaker 3: saying these crazy things or whatever. But the one gal
- 43:45Speaker 3: she goes, where are my thumbs?
- 43:47Speaker 1: Where the hell are my thumbs? I want to suck
- 43:50Speaker 1: my thumbs because she's got like.
- 43:53Speaker 3: The mitten ones. That cracks me up so much every time.
- 43:58Speaker 1: That's good.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Like I remember laughing about it as a kid, and
- 44:01Speaker 3: I obviously forgot that very specific line, but it just
- 44:05Speaker 3: made me giggle so much this time.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I loved it.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Where there I want to suck my phounds so good.
- 44:12Speaker 1: When she's in labor and everyone keeps telling her to
- 44:16Speaker 1: like breathe, it's.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Like, yeah, I think it's the doctor, slow down your breathing.
- 44:21Speaker 3: You're not an exercise class. And she's like my breathing.
- 44:26Speaker 1: The Exorcist. So yeah, I thought that was really funny.
- 44:30Speaker 1: I liked that.
- 44:31Speaker 3: I must have watched an ended version because I don't
- 44:33Speaker 3: remember her saying my breathing, or maybe I didn't know.
- 44:36Speaker 1: I don't know, but that was fun. Oh.
- 44:42Speaker 3: I love when the grandma that's Olympia Doucoca is right
- 44:46Speaker 3: when she's like, oh's got a wet tushy and he
- 44:50Speaker 3: just Bruce Willis just goes, I give up.
- 44:54Speaker 1: I just love that line. I think it's so fun. Doctor. Yeah,
- 45:00Speaker 1: I think in that scene. I think in that same
- 45:03Speaker 1: scene because she keeps doing on that baby talk and
- 45:06Speaker 1: he's just like, oh, she's way good, she's lost it. Yeah,
- 45:11Speaker 1: so good. I love that so much. What was the
- 45:17Speaker 1: other one?
- 45:18Speaker 3: Uh oh, he's like spinning Mikey around. I think it's Travolta.
- 45:23Speaker 3: When they're having fun hanging out right, maybe they're a
- 45:26Speaker 3: little what's a very cute scene as well, like just
- 45:29Speaker 3: having a fun time and he's like.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Whoa, I'm gonna throw up. But I like it. Yeah,
- 45:37Speaker 1: really good, really good. When the grandpa is screaming at
- 45:41Speaker 1: the guys he's gonna steal his bags, and he's like,
- 45:45Speaker 1: I got my teeth in there.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Yeah, dumb lines that are fun, that'st I got.
- 45:55Speaker 1: I just have like a bunch of random lines. Yeah,
- 45:58Speaker 1: I did too. I liked. I likes one. When Molly
- 46:02Speaker 1: and her friend are talking, she's like, remember how Albert
- 46:05Speaker 1: Shrink said that Beth would never get better as long
- 46:07Speaker 1: as he kept seeing me. She's like, yeah, a million times. Well,
- 46:11Speaker 1: he's decided to leave her. Albert's leaving his wife. No,
- 46:14Speaker 1: he's leaving his shrink. And that's really a good thing,
- 46:17Speaker 1: because she was really starting to become an obstacle with us.
- 46:19Speaker 1: So funny, so funny. It's pretty good, so funny. I
- 46:24Speaker 1: love that. Yeah.
- 46:25Speaker 3: Oh, let's see, oh Olympia Ducoccus again. I don't understand.
- 46:31Speaker 3: This is the kind of thing a girl does if
- 46:32Speaker 3: she's very.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Ugly or a lesbian.
- 46:34Speaker 3: This is not an act of a beautiful, intelligent girl
- 46:37Speaker 3: who could have any man she wants, just like such a.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Such a mom line. Yeah, uh oh.
- 46:47Speaker 3: Speaking of the dingis when.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Mikey is in the womb and he's.
- 46:53Speaker 3: Like, oh, look at that, another little arm coming in
- 46:56Speaker 3: down there. What is it doing way down there.
- 47:00Speaker 1: To get that in my mouth? Yeah? That was great.
- 47:02Speaker 3: I forget right and I did not remember it even
- 47:05Speaker 3: at all.
- 47:07Speaker 1: That's pretty fun. That's pretty fun. That's really good. Uh,
- 47:12Speaker 1: let's see what else. I don't have anything that funny.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Doctor Spock doesn't just want us, doesn't just want to
- 47:20Speaker 3: sell a book. Doctor Spock loves us.
- 47:23Speaker 1: She's going through like her new mom mania. Feels like
- 47:27Speaker 1: I don't remember that pretty fun, pretty fun.
- 47:30Speaker 3: That's kind of all I got. Oh, I guess there
- 47:33Speaker 3: was funny lines, they just weren't I don't know.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they were more delivered well than then
- 47:40Speaker 1: when you read them on paper.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Totally it's like, okay, yeah, nice.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Well, why don't we go to bugs? Boohoomill. Strong men
- 47:51Speaker 1: also cry? Strong men also cry. The crying game. I
- 47:59Speaker 1: picked three cries in this drigging, which I was surprised by,
- 48:06Speaker 1: so we'll see, we'll see. I feel like this first
- 48:09Speaker 1: one was a stretch the I'm going to get you
- 48:13Speaker 1: the best daddy there is when talking through the glass
- 48:16Speaker 1: to him, I thought that was very sweet. I did too,
- 48:21Speaker 1: very sweet, but it was also like kind of funny
- 48:23Speaker 1: because I think we had some of the baby monologues too,
- 48:27Speaker 1: so cool. One was when John Travold is just talking
- 48:33Speaker 1: to him. Man, he's just talking to this little baby
- 48:37Speaker 1: and he's like getting kind of emotional, and Mike he's like,
- 48:42Speaker 1: don't be said, here take this, and he like gives
- 48:44Speaker 1: him his panda.
- 48:45Speaker 3: I just thought that was really sweet. I loved that
- 48:47Speaker 3: whole scene. I thought was so great. It's like you
- 48:49Speaker 3: gonna have to take care of her and yeah, I
- 48:52Speaker 3: loved that. Definitely got me for sure.
- 48:55Speaker 1: And then I thought, maybe like the end because kissing stuff,
- 49:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's a good one.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Well, yes, I'm going to count it. But I think
- 49:06Speaker 3: it was when he calls him data that really got me. Right, Yeah,
- 49:10Speaker 3: you're right, you're right.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Sorry, I was just thinking that the wrong instigating part. Yeah,
- 49:16Speaker 1: I like that, but that was all I had. Were
- 49:17Speaker 1: there more booze?
- 49:21Speaker 3: Yes, there was two more, and they involved Grandpa, both
- 49:26Speaker 3: of them.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Oh sure.
- 49:28Speaker 3: The one was where when Mikey feeds Grandpa the food.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it was cute.
- 49:33Speaker 3: I just I loved his kid and and Travolta's face
- 49:37Speaker 3: in that moment is just so lovely, Like he he.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Really plays like dad. You know, it looked like it
- 49:43Speaker 1: might have been like not agreed. It looked I think
- 49:48Speaker 1: so too. I think the kid just kind of did it.
- 49:50Speaker 3: And you know, like they just kind of this so cute.
- 49:53Speaker 1: I loved that moment. I thought it was I thought
- 49:55Speaker 1: was really so that was a good moment.
- 49:58Speaker 3: And then at the end she goes and like kind
- 50:01Speaker 3: of saves Grandpa or whatever right and does the like
- 50:04Speaker 3: he says.
- 50:05Speaker 1: That you're the you're smart, and you're.
- 50:08Speaker 3: Of all my daughter in law's your my favorite. You're smart,
- 50:11Speaker 3: and you're.
- 50:11Speaker 1: A good poison. He says, poison, so funny. Yeah, and
- 50:15Speaker 1: then he says that's.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Why Jimmy loves you so much. And I was like, oh,
- 50:18Speaker 3: that's nice. That's a nice shirt.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Yeah. I think I'd even written that one down as
- 50:22Speaker 1: a boohoo and forgot about it. But yeah, that makes
- 50:25Speaker 1: a lot of sense. Yeah, so it's five. It's five.
- 50:28Speaker 1: We were due for a five.
- 50:29Speaker 3: We were, dude, because there's been a lot of zeros,
- 50:32Speaker 3: a lot of goose in a row.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we needed we needed a five. We did cool.
- 50:36Speaker 1: I'm glad we got there. Glad we got there. Everything's
- 50:39Speaker 1: right with the word.
- 50:40Speaker 3: Let's go ahead and do a little bit of movie trivia.
- 50:42Speaker 3: And I'm gonna emphasize a little bit because there's not
- 50:44Speaker 3: a ton for this one, to be honest, not a ton.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Let's see. According to Chirsty Alley in her memoir, she
- 50:52Speaker 3: fell in love with John Travolta during filming, but she
- 50:54Speaker 3: stayed faithful to her husband the whole time, So understandable.
- 50:59Speaker 3: I bet they both film at least a little bit.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Let's see. Yeah, that'd be that would be an interesting profession.
- 51:07Speaker 3: It'd be so hard ready for fake, It's gotta be believable,
- 51:11Speaker 3: and then.
- 51:11Speaker 1: It's like, how do I? Oh? God.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Amy Heckerling was inspired to write the film after her
- 51:19Speaker 3: husband and writer Neil Israel started playfully talking in a
- 51:23Speaker 3: different voice to pretend what their baby would say. Uh,
- 51:27Speaker 3: and her husband actually makes a cameo in the movie
- 51:30Speaker 3: as Christy Ally's character's boss.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Nice. I thought that was fun. It's a cute idea.
- 51:37Speaker 1: What has turned into a pretty good series. Thanks for
- 51:40Speaker 1: doing that, honey. We've made a lot of money off that.
- 51:44Speaker 1: As we made three movies, is it four? I thought
- 51:48Speaker 1: it was just three, but maybe it is the third one,
- 51:52Speaker 1: the animals, third one, the animals. They kind of jumped the.
- 51:56Speaker 3: Shark there, uh, or jumped to the sharpey. Molly's two
- 52:00Speaker 3: blind dates that she imagines as Mikey's father are listed
- 52:05Speaker 3: in the credits as mister impatient and mister anal.
- 52:09Speaker 1: I just thought that was funny. Yep, let's see. Oh.
- 52:13Speaker 3: Speaking to what you said about Travolta, this little thing says.
- 52:18Speaker 3: Although pulp fiction in ninety four was widely considered Travolta's
- 52:21Speaker 3: mainstream comeback, this was his first commercially successful film since
- 52:26Speaker 3: Staying Alive in nineteen eighty three.
- 52:29Speaker 1: So I thought that was cool, right, yeah, that makes sense?
- 52:33Speaker 1: And that was was that? The was that the sequel
- 52:36Speaker 1: to Saturday Night Fever? I think so? Yes, yeah, I
- 52:39Speaker 1: think so. But this was like, oh, I have stuff
- 52:43Speaker 1: about it, it's coming up. Cool.
- 52:45Speaker 3: The fetuses were puppets. Twelve puppeteers, some hanging upside down
- 52:49Speaker 3: were required to shoot the scene where Mikey plays with
- 52:52Speaker 3: the placenta and the sperm were made of vinyl with
- 52:55Speaker 3: tiny fishing.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Weights in the front. That's kind of cool. Interesting.
- 53:01Speaker 3: I thought that was a live shot, but okay, sounds good.
- 53:06Speaker 3: Amy Heckerling first pitched the movie to Disney. The Disney
- 53:10Speaker 3: CEO at the time, Michael Eisner, felt that it was
- 53:12Speaker 3: too sexual for them, and even for their Touchstone Pictures, Banner,
- 53:18Speaker 3: Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, Oriyan, Twentieth Century Fox, and Universal
- 53:23Speaker 3: Studios all also passed on it. Ultimately, it was Tri
- 53:26Speaker 3: Star Pictures who liked the script and greenlit it for
- 53:31Speaker 3: seven million dollars budget and rob Let's play a tiny
- 53:36Speaker 3: game first, what do you think the worldwide gross is
- 53:39Speaker 3: for this movie?
- 53:42Speaker 1: Seven million? Dollars seven million dollar budget. Man, So does
- 53:50Speaker 1: it take into account how long it's been in like
- 53:54Speaker 1: all of the video like Street, I don't think so.
- 53:57Speaker 3: I think Box Office is only when it was in theaters.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Okay, I'll say two hundred million.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Real close, two hundred and ninety seven million dollars.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Only real close, almost one hundred million dollars.
- 54:12Speaker 3: That's pretty close.
- 54:13Speaker 1: It's pretty close. It's prey, give it to you. So
- 54:17Speaker 1: they only made two hundred and ninety million dollars, imagine, wow,
- 54:22Speaker 1: no wonder they made three of them? Yeah? Them cool?
- 54:26Speaker 1: Sounds good. I thought this was fun.
- 54:30Speaker 3: My last one is just that foreign countries had their
- 54:32Speaker 3: own celebrities voicing baby Mikey, which was apparently John Travolta's idea.
- 54:38Speaker 3: So I thought that was kind of cool.
- 54:39Speaker 1: That's good, That is cool.
- 54:42Speaker 3: Oh did you get any trivia?
- 54:44Speaker 1: I did. I saw that Chevy, Chase Bilt, Murray Dan Ackroyd,
- 54:48Speaker 1: Steve Martin, and John Candy were considered, but all of
- 54:52Speaker 1: them were busy. And then it lists all the things
- 54:54Speaker 1: that they were doing. What were they considered for?
- 54:58Speaker 3: Which part for the voice of my Oh okay, sorry
- 55:01Speaker 3: if you said that, I missed it.
- 55:03Speaker 1: That's fun. I think every one of them could have
- 55:05Speaker 1: done that, of course, and it would have been hilarious.
- 55:09Speaker 1: It would have been great. Yeah, that's fun. It looks
- 55:12Speaker 1: like John Stamos was the first choice for the role
- 55:16Speaker 1: of James, but the producers of Full House wouldn't let
- 55:21Speaker 1: him out of his contract to take the role. That
- 55:23Speaker 1: kind of sucks. You could do a lot after Full House,
- 55:28Speaker 1: right move. I don't think he did anything movies really interesting.
- 55:33Speaker 3: Huh.
- 55:35Speaker 1: During the credits, Joan Rivers makes the cameos the voice
- 55:39Speaker 1: of Mikey's new sister, but in the sequel, Look Who's
- 55:43Speaker 1: talking to t Oo, she was replaced with Roseanne bar.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Yes, and Look Who's talking to is fun?
- 55:51Speaker 1: I liked it a lot. Yeah it was. Yeah. I
- 55:53Speaker 1: don't remember that one at anywhere like this one, but
- 55:57Speaker 1: I just remember liking it and I thought Roseanne super funny. Yeah,
- 56:01Speaker 1: I think that was probably funny. The only other one
- 56:03Speaker 1: I saw was that the Goot Steve Guttenberg was considered
- 56:07Speaker 1: for the role of James, and he actually turned it down. Wow.
- 56:10Speaker 3: He would have been good, though, He would have been good.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I like that nice, but that that was all I had.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Fun Trivia how about Judgment Day.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Will there be a sequel? Look who's talking to? And
- 56:25Speaker 1: Look who's talking now? Yeah? Nice? Nice? I love it. Well,
- 56:32Speaker 1: so we know that's pretty easily, pretty easily. Lace they
- 56:36Speaker 1: haven't done that. I think I saw that they tried
- 56:39Speaker 1: to do a series two. Okay, but I don't really.
- 56:43Speaker 1: I don't think I ever actually watched Look who's talking now?
- 56:46Speaker 1: I had just heard it was really bad.
- 56:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't remember.
- 56:49Speaker 1: I remember there was animals, That's all I remember, right,
- 56:52Speaker 1: So I probably did. I probably loved them. You probably could.
- 56:58Speaker 1: So yeah, all right, let's do a last man. Stanton Gamey,
- 57:05Speaker 1: you had the bright idea to tell me to tweet
- 57:09Speaker 1: that at the beginning of this episode, and I can't believe.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Good job you remembered, thankfully. And yeah, some people replied,
- 57:21Speaker 1: I'm seeing James Earl Jones, oh, which I feel like
- 57:28Speaker 1: is cheating for me because I made up that game
- 57:31Speaker 1: of all James Earl Jones and I hardly any of those. Yeah,
- 57:35Speaker 1: so we won't do that. But great, yes, rip and
- 57:41Speaker 1: great suggestion, Carolyn Schultz and at cool Ron one twenty
- 57:46Speaker 1: four cool Ron, we got Aaron Taylor Johnson, which would
- 57:52Speaker 1: be very fast for me. We have Laura Lenny, Kate Blanchette,
- 57:58Speaker 1: Jamie Lee Curtis, who, Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, Eric Roberts
- 58:08Speaker 1: apparently he's a contestant on this season of Dancing with
- 58:11Speaker 1: the Stars, Paul Newman, Paul Rudd, which I don't think
- 58:20Speaker 1: we've done Paul before, Kevin Conroy, Michael Keaton could be fun,
- 58:27Speaker 1: and Danny Trejoe. So out of that, I could do
- 58:33Speaker 1: Michael Keaton, I could do. Oh, somebody also said Britney Murphy,
- 58:41Speaker 1: which I couldn't do much of that, but Michael Keaton,
- 58:45Speaker 1: Paul Rudd, I think we've done. Julie Roberts. I think
- 58:49Speaker 1: we have as well. There's a lot of ladies we
- 58:55Speaker 1: could pick a lady. I could maybe do Reese Witherspoon. Yeah,
- 58:58Speaker 1: she's probably keep bunch it maybe. Yeah.
- 59:05Speaker 3: I don't know how many I would have, you know,
- 59:08Speaker 3: I think Paul Rudd.
- 59:09Speaker 1: We could definitely do Paul Rudd. Hey, you want to
- 59:14Speaker 1: try that, right, Let's do Paul Rudd. And this is
- 59:17Speaker 1: by at j rimani One. Thank you at j rimani one, God,
- 59:23Speaker 1: thank you j rimani one. Hey that's appreciated, is itda? Yeah,
- 59:33Speaker 1: that's a minute. I know it's handle. That's okay. That
- 59:38Speaker 1: is cool, Dave, way to go, Dave, Thanks Dave boy.
- 59:42Speaker 3: What if I would have not noticed that was him?
- 59:48Speaker 1: Yeah? Cool, awesome. Well let's do some Paul Rudd. I think,
- 59:52Speaker 1: oh god, my bet is you're going to do well
- 59:56Speaker 1: on this. I should right in theory, in theory, yeah,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: that doesn't know what mean anything.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: I'll start. I'll start with Amy Heckerling's other large great movie.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Clueless, Clueless, very good one. I'm gonna do Adam Chance's
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: favorite movie and say ant Man got him, got him
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Rob got it? Oh yeah, ant Man in the Wasp.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: And then we'll do ant Man in the Wasp, Quantum
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Mania Endgame, yep, Infinity War. Is he's in Infinity War?
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: Right? Or is he in the Quantum Realm for that
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: whole movie? I don't actually remember.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Well, okay, then if that's a possible not, I know
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: he's in Civil War. It's I'm just saying it's possible
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: he's not. I don't that's foul. That's fine, right, it's
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: a captain America's Civil War. Good call, good, great, wonderful,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: No yelling on the bush.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: Anchorman. The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Anchorman two, The legend continues, Uh, Anchorman one and a half.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Wasn't that one of them? Or some things? But I
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: remember what it was one and a half? Is it
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: two and a half? No, it's not.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: Oh it just has a title.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Yeah, oh boy, I don't remember that. So we'll quickly
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: get away from that and we'll go this is forty nice.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Then I'll say knocked up. Oh good one.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: Role models.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I love you, man, thank you. What would your guests be?
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Got him Adam? Uh boy to banger some movies? Movie
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: thirty three? You do that? Every one? Is it?
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: I never remember it's movie forty damn it.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it would be forty three. Yeah forgetting Sarah Marshall
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: of course. Kunu uh, I like, I love that. That's
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: a great one.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Good good, good job everybody, good, good job everyone. What
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: I'm really trying to think of this one and I
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: can't remember what it's called. He's a guy and he's
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: help He's like a PCA and he's helping a kid
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: get into college.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Oh my god, I just wrote that down. Did you
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: really as you were explaining it? I had just funny.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I liked that movie too. I thought it was actually
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: very charming, funny necessarily but charming perks of being a wallflower.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Then I'll say, and you can tell me that I
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: had a little one I was trying to think of.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I am pretty sure that was called admission, admission.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: I should have just went, I should have kept going, Yeah, here,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: let me just double charge something.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: What that was called was.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: In something called dear funn admission was he? I think
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: he's in something called the Fundamentals of Caring as well.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: Can I look that up?
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: The Fundamentals of Caring shirt? I don't know. I think
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: that's the right fundamentals of I just want to see
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: if I'm absolutely full of shite.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Uh in rolls about caregiving? Yeah, actually, fundamentals of kring
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: might have been what.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: I was thinking of, Oh funny. Oh yeah. The other
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: one was the Tina Fey one. Yeah.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: I think I was complating both those together because I
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: was thinking Tina fe AnyWho.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna say dinner with schmucks, which I didn't know. Yeah,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: I didn't like that either. We were together. I'm not
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: liking that.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: In fact, I erased it from my brain.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Okay, Oka, Oh, I'm.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: Getting Yeah, I feel like I'm getting out for wandering Lust.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Oh good call, Oh my god, that's with the Oh my,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I have to blee that out. I won't go into
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: the whole thing.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: It was unbelievable, unbelievable, like the worst.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: I watched that with Post and his wife Kimmy.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: He was not impressed. I'm leave that, and of course
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I'm laughing like a moron. Boasts left so bad. I
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: forgot about wonder last It's pretty fun.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: Oh and had Agatha in it.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Catherine, She's great. I think I feel like I'm missing
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: a lot of more of those comedies in my brain.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I don't know one where he has a very small role.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: He plays one of the Beatles. Was walk Hard the
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Dewey Cock story? Nice? Yeah, he is one of the Beatles.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Good shout. Why can't I think of this.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Movie Wet Hot American Summer?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Ah? Did they make more than one?
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: I think they did.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I do not know what it's called. It's not just
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: wet hot American Summer. Too electric boogeyo might be.
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: I mean, I'm happy to give it to you because
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: there definitely wasn't too. It might just be like another
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: wet hot American summer or something.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I'll take that there.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: I think you can have that, although I shouldn't give
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: it to you because I don't think I have another one.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: It's gotta be it more. Oh, he's for sure and more.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: We're missing so many but I can't Okay, uh, he's in.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: I only have. Do I get the.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Movie with a kid in a wheelchair that he brings
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: on Conan every time?
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Do I get that?
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: If I bring? I forget what it's called even it's
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: such a funny bit is if you guys don't know
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: what we're talking about, look up like Paul Conan bit
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: and it'sous funny every.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Man. Okay, uh oh uh m hm.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Our idiot brother.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Oh good one, Yes, that's really good.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a deep pull. That might have been it
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: for me.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Honestly, I had one that. It's one of those. I
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: think it went straight to a streaming service and I've
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: gone by it a million times, and I thought that
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: the title was so dumb. It's a play on the
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Catcher in the Rye but it's called the Catcher was
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: a spy. Oh no, yeah, And like I think the
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: cast is big, but you can see Paul Rudd on
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: that one has just been in my brain. Wow, so
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: I was wanting to hold onto that. It's a deep pull, yeah, deep.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: And then I have one other one. Wow, Okay, let
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: me think maybe I can come up with them one more.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Our idiot brother wasn't good.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel good about that one. If that's my
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: last one, I feel all right.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: That was a good one. Let's think thought of me.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: There's one that I use for the movie Grid for him.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: That we haven't said still mm hmm.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Even though I'm gonna start doing the cutcher as a
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: spy because I.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: Don't think anything else about that one, even the people
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: who wrote it forgot. I'm just gonna say I'm out
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: because I can't nothing. I'm not like, you know, sometimes
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: you can see one in your head.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: But I'm not even having that right now. So so
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: um D put on a play called The Shape of
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Things and hey, and I think it was Rachel Wise.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: They did the movie version of it cool, and so
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: it's like a play. It's fun. It's a play, but it's,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: you know, a dramatized version of it. Cool. And the
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: other one that I was thinking of was the object
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: of my affection, the for Aniston. I don't know what
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: that is. This is late nineties. He plays I think
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: he's like her gay friend O fun and she wants
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: to have a baby, having my baby. All right, I'm
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: just looking up his stuff. Let's look at the looks.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: I mean, oh, son of a I'm so mad about those.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Did we miss two that I should have got one?
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: He was the gecko in Teenage Meaninja Mayhem And I'm.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Mad absolutely also in the news. I'm real mad.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: Oh, between two Friends?
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: The movie?
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: You saw that for sure?
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah, I forgot it was a movie.
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: Uh, fun Mom Dinner.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: I've never even heard of that. Yeah, part catching the
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: that's so, that's such a bad name. Aunt man, Oh
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: he was in The Little Prince. I didn't know that. Interesting.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: I never saw that.
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: They came together.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: I've seen they came together. I don't know what that
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: is too. What is that that Amy Poehler.
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: Yeah, Molly owns a quaint little sweet shop. Joel works
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: for a gigantic candy company.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Well, I don't remember that at all. I'm pretty sure
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: i've seen. Oh dude, this is the end.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: Oh duh, that's a good one. All this bride, I've
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: never heard Prince Avalanche.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: It's forty per How do you know oh, year one.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: When I said, when I said Doe Cox, I was
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: wondering if he was in year.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: One, Cary, I thought of our idiot brother.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Man, I feel good about that. It's no spy Catcher
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: in the Spy or whatever. Night at the Museum. He
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: was in the first one. Oh he was in Reno
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: on one Miami. I guess I do remember that now, Oh,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: dud dude, forty year old Virgin forty year old Virgin idiots?
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: Well, how did only the first podcast we ever did, right?

- 1:11:24Speaker 1: That was that one? Yeah, that's fun. I remember when
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: they did that play the cider House Rules. Yeah, okay,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: the Object of My Affection ninety eight. Oh, he was
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: in Romeo and Juliet ninety six. Didn't remember that? We
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: said clues? Right, I hope, yeah you did. That was
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: your first thing or one of your first things. We
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: did pretty other than that, other than forty year Old
