- 3:02Speaker 1: Go trouble Me and Joby need long on that podcast.
- 3:18Speaker 1: They mustn't be the word.
- 4:02Speaker 5: What do you think about that one, Joseph, bro, you're.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Getting me in the mood. That was sexy. It takes
- 4:13Speaker 4: I mean, well, I love it. You are having way
- 4:20Speaker 4: too much fun with AI, but I respect it.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Yes, that was an infamous yacht rock intro, focusing on
- 4:29Speaker 5: the subject of what we're gonna be talking about here tonight,
- 4:31Speaker 5: which is of course May Brussel. Yes, yes, how are you, Joe?
- 4:36Speaker 5: Have you been?
- 4:37Speaker 4: I'm good. I'm hanging in there. You know. It is
- 4:44Speaker 4: wellness Friday. That's what my girlfriend's company calls the Friday
- 4:52Speaker 4: once a month and they give them off. So she
- 4:54Speaker 4: went to pilates and this and that. But she brought
- 4:59Speaker 4: me back in case of you so quality, which I
- 5:04Speaker 4: did put some subsidy on.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Yeah, well she'll go work out and take care of
- 5:08Speaker 5: herself and bring you home something delicious and fattening, right,
- 5:13Speaker 5: so you'll take I'll take it.
- 5:16Speaker 4: But no, I am good, sir, and you know, excited
- 5:22Speaker 4: for the discussion on May tonight. But how are you.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Fantastic happy? It's Friday? Of course every Friday. Not only
- 5:31Speaker 5: is it the last workday, like real work day in
- 5:34Speaker 5: the week, but it is also the day we do
- 5:37Speaker 5: this live for the people, and it always gets to
- 5:40Speaker 5: be fired up. We love doing this. Welcome in everyone,
- 5:44Speaker 5: and I understand if you're new to if you're new
- 5:47Speaker 5: to being around here, which hopefully there are some new faces.
- 5:53Speaker 5: We have been plastering around some AI shorts around the
- 5:59Speaker 5: inter webs, and hopefully it just drawing some people in
- 6:02Speaker 5: here and peaking their curiosity about what we do around here.
- 6:06Speaker 5: But yes, we are not AI cartoons here. We are
- 6:09Speaker 5: real people doing real research into the case. No exception
- 6:14Speaker 5: all allegedly, yeah tonight he was no exception. But we're
- 6:19Speaker 5: gonna be talking about one of Joe not only the pioneer,
- 6:23Speaker 5: one of the pioneers, first generation researchers into this case,
- 6:29Speaker 5: but also a female researcher into this case, which is
- 6:34Speaker 5: a rarity. And not only that, she was literally one
- 6:40Speaker 5: of the first podcasters when it comes to this subject, right,
- 6:49Speaker 5: I mean, yes, she got on the radio in the sixties,
- 6:53Speaker 5: but then there was also times where she would record
- 6:55Speaker 5: her show onto cassette tape and send it out to
- 7:02Speaker 5: people who were on her mailing list.
- 7:04Speaker 4: It was all about right, yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 5: So she was literally not only like the first one
- 7:11Speaker 5: on the airwaves radio style to do this, but also
- 7:16Speaker 5: to podcast in quotes, if you will, a show about conspiracies,
- 7:22Speaker 5: and you know a lot of it focusing on the
- 7:24Speaker 5: JFK assassination. Now we know May Brussell was into a
- 7:28Speaker 5: lot of things. She had a lot of her fingers
- 7:30Speaker 5: in a lot of different pies, if you will. It
- 7:33Speaker 5: wasn't just the JFK assassination, but that was the catalyst
- 7:39Speaker 5: to launch her into this stratosphere of conspiracies. It opened
- 7:43Speaker 5: her eyes right to the to the to the possibility
- 7:48Speaker 5: that hey, maybe the government isn't being totally honest with
- 7:52Speaker 5: us here, right And once you start looking through that lens, Joe,
- 7:57Speaker 5: it's very hard to go back to normany to being
- 8:00Speaker 5: enormy you know what I mean.
- 8:02Speaker 4: An NPC as the kids call us today.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, So once your eyes have been open to
- 8:08Speaker 5: these things, you know, you you can go one of
- 8:11Speaker 5: two ways. You can keep your sanity.
- 8:16Speaker 4: And put the blinders on and.
- 8:22Speaker 5: You know, really be able to separate the you know,
- 8:26Speaker 5: things in your mind and keep a good handle on reality,
- 8:30Speaker 5: or it's very easy, Joe, to be consumed by the
- 8:36Speaker 5: conspiracy mentality that everybody and everything is out to get you. Yes,
- 8:45Speaker 5: but I've been sometimes that could be true or or
- 8:52Speaker 5: am I just paranoid?
- 8:55Speaker 4: Well it's interesting you brought brought that up because when
- 8:59Speaker 4: I first came the podcast, I was like worried about
- 9:03Speaker 4: like showing my face and I'm like, this is going
- 9:05Speaker 4: to affect me workwise, blah blah blah blah blah blah.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Are they going to come after me? Is there a
- 9:09Speaker 4: van doing direct energy weapons towards me and my brain?
- 9:16Speaker 4: Or do they just not care? Then?
- 9:21Speaker 5: Is that what has happened to Joe Burrelly in the
- 9:23Speaker 5: past almost three years.
- 9:25Speaker 4: We don't know, We don't know.
- 9:28Speaker 5: You better, you better check Ruby for listening devices after
- 9:31Speaker 5: the Chicks.
- 9:33Speaker 4: She does have an artified D thing, so maybe.
- 9:38Speaker 5: You know, yeah, they're using it to track you, bro,
- 9:41Speaker 5: or she runs away. This is where I poop every day.
- 9:49Speaker 4: It's within a half block radius, is time? Oh man?
- 9:55Speaker 4: But yeah, no, for sure. She was a pioneer and
- 10:00Speaker 4: I kind of liken her to us in a sense
- 10:02Speaker 4: that she would take Collins right, and although we don't
- 10:05Speaker 4: take Collins per se. On a radio show, we interact
- 10:11Speaker 4: with the chat which I guess is kind of similar.
- 10:15Speaker 5: You alive, she did live, I'll do it live. Yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 5: you know, it is a rare thing to do this
- 10:26Speaker 5: kind of thing live because you never know where it's
- 10:30Speaker 5: gonna go, how it's going to go, and then you
- 10:33Speaker 5: bring in elements that you can't control into this, into
- 10:37Speaker 5: the dynamic, and it gets a little crazy, right sometimes, Right, Yeah,
- 10:44Speaker 5: looks you know, we got good folks here for the
- 10:47Speaker 5: most part, and uh, you know again, welcome in to
- 10:50Speaker 5: the people.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Yes, And I think I am okay, Timothy Ryan. I
- 10:54Speaker 4: have concluded that nobody cares. I'm just another skuffoos on
- 10:59Speaker 4: the internet.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Right, you know, are they Washington? Do they know who
- 11:04Speaker 5: we are? Probably? How much do they really care? I
- 11:08Speaker 5: don't know. At this point, it doesn't matter. I mean,
- 11:14Speaker 5: trust me, there's there's far crazier worst people out there
- 11:17Speaker 5: doing this than us.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Right, Well, crazier for sure, obviously, but effective wise. I
- 11:27Speaker 4: think that's why we might be on some radar because
- 11:32Speaker 4: we actually do document research. And I think when you
- 11:38Speaker 4: talk about someone like May Brussel, and I don't know
- 11:43Speaker 4: how many documents she had access to at that time,
- 11:47Speaker 4: but she was definitely based in facts for the most part.
- 11:52Speaker 4: And she did go off the rails a little bit. Now, Rob,
- 11:54Speaker 4: what do you think of this analogy? Well, she like
- 11:58Speaker 4: the early Alex Jones.
- 12:03Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, look man, all of her
- 12:08Speaker 5: stuff right is based on reading books, reading newspaper articles,
- 12:14Speaker 5: reading magazine articles, clipping articles, and sharing between researchers through
- 12:19Speaker 5: the mail. Okay, that's how it worked again. You know,
- 12:24Speaker 5: she started this whole thing like you know, before you
- 12:32Speaker 5: could there was ready access to documents.
- 12:35Speaker 4: Right before it was cool.
- 12:36Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, And and and she would people would send
- 12:39Speaker 5: her stuff from obscure newspapers. You know, this is back
- 12:42Speaker 5: before you know, it was two media companies on every
- 12:48Speaker 5: newspaper in America. And now it's all the same. You know,
- 12:52Speaker 5: your broadcast news on main mainstream media is all the
- 12:55Speaker 5: same now. But you know, back in the day, there
- 12:57Speaker 5: was some variety. There were you know, between there was
- 13:01Speaker 5: real journalism and all of that. Not so much anymore.
- 13:06Speaker 5: But you know, I find it interesting how things operated
- 13:11Speaker 5: back then. And of course a lot of it is
- 13:14Speaker 5: rumor based, a lot of it is conspiracy, cookiness some
- 13:20Speaker 5: of it, but again some of it was legitimate. And
- 13:25Speaker 5: she was a she was one of those puzzle piecer
- 13:27Speaker 5: put togetherers if you know what I mean.
- 13:30Speaker 4: Yeah, No, she had a good gut feeling if you will,
- 13:34Speaker 4: like she had good signs like intentions, or she could
- 13:39Speaker 4: very well put together pieces of puzzles that I mean
- 13:43Speaker 4: you could look at Watergate as an example of her
- 13:47Speaker 4: putting together all these people pretty quickly.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Yes, yes, yeah, she was. She had a very insane
- 13:57Speaker 5: memory capacity for things. I think by the end she
- 14:03Speaker 5: had accumulated thirty nine for drawer file cabinets full of
- 14:11Speaker 5: clipped like newspaper articles. That's a ton of stuff. And
- 14:17Speaker 5: to be able to remember little pieces from over here
- 14:19Speaker 5: and little pieces from over there, and to think about
- 14:21Speaker 5: it all the time and have epiphanies and be like,
- 14:23Speaker 5: oh my god, this can you know, I can put
- 14:26Speaker 5: this with that and this makes sense and you know, insane.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Right, And again, you can't go on NARRA, you can't
- 14:34Speaker 4: go on archive dot org, you can't go on Mary
- 14:37Speaker 4: Ferrell and just keyword search documents. You literally have to
- 14:42Speaker 4: collect them at that point, which is late sixties, early
- 14:45Speaker 4: seventies when she started, right, Yeah, I.
- 14:47Speaker 5: Mean she never she never wrote a book. She did
- 14:51Speaker 5: write a couple of articles here and there, but the
- 14:55Speaker 5: main focus of what she did was she was a
- 14:58Speaker 5: collater of COLLECTI Puls basically, and also had enough fortitude
- 15:09Speaker 5: to get on the air and talk about it because
- 15:11Speaker 5: she wanted to share things because knowledge is power. And
- 15:16Speaker 5: you know, just her sitting around her house as a
- 15:18Speaker 5: housewife mother at five knowing all this stuff just wasn't
- 15:22Speaker 5: cutting it. There was something in her urging her that
- 15:26Speaker 5: she needed to share this stuff. And of course there
- 15:29Speaker 5: are people around back then thinking, man, this lady's crazy.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Just listen to her talk. You know, she's one of
- 15:34Speaker 5: those fast talkers. But you know, we have the benefit
- 15:41Speaker 5: of hindsight now to be able to look back to
- 15:44Speaker 5: see exactly what she was talking about when she was
- 15:47Speaker 5: talking about it. What was crazy conspiracy theory, what wasn't.
- 15:51Speaker 5: And it's fascinating, Joe to look back on all this.
- 15:55Speaker 4: So it is And Rob, I just quick question. Do
- 15:59Speaker 4: you think if she was alive today she would have
- 16:02Speaker 4: a podcast one?
- 16:07Speaker 5: Yes, it would be called The Loan gun Woman.
- 16:12Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 16:12Speaker 5: And you know what I realized when I had the
- 16:14Speaker 5: graphic up, Dude, what for the intro? Mm hm that
- 16:19Speaker 5: AI screwed our title up? Did you see that?
- 16:24Speaker 4: No, let me throw it back up your dancing to
- 16:27Speaker 4: the groove, bro.
- 16:28Speaker 5: I noticed it about halfway through, and I was like
- 16:30Speaker 5: crim cringing inside, like god damn it. Seriously, AI, like,
- 16:34Speaker 5: come on, check.
- 16:36Speaker 4: This out, O. You see what did you just keep
- 16:47Speaker 4: that rolling?
- 16:50Speaker 5: The loan gun It has two a's.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Oh that.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Like they can spell all this other ship in here.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Even the Torbet document the spilled it right here. Uh
- 17:02Speaker 5: they spelled it right here on our microphone whatever the
- 17:04Speaker 5: hell those things are. And even back here on the
- 17:06Speaker 5: newspapers they spelled all this stuff right. But you can't
- 17:09Speaker 5: get the title right, like seriously, a come on man,
- 17:14Speaker 5: And but I missed it. It's my fault. I missed
- 17:16Speaker 5: it until I saw it up here in front of me,
- 17:18Speaker 5: and I was like, god damn. Maybe nobody would have
- 17:22Speaker 5: even noticed it had I not said anything. But you know,
- 17:27Speaker 5: I'm nothing that's not honest around here.
- 17:29Speaker 4: You know, Yes, Rob inputs, make sure we look ultra masculine.
- 17:38Speaker 5: We are ultra masculine, slacker Dan, thank you very much
- 17:42Speaker 5: as we are.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Yes, but it's funny and it's cool, and so let
- 17:51Speaker 4: me give a little Do you want me to start
- 17:53Speaker 4: with some of her background?
- 17:55Speaker 5: Yeah, let's let's let's go back see who May Brussel
- 17:58Speaker 5: was and learn a little bit more about her. Joseph.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Okay, well, May Magnin was her name. Yeah, she was
- 18:07Speaker 4: born in May in nineteen twenty two, Beverly Hills, California.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Or fancy lad Laddie? What's the female sally? What's the
- 18:17Speaker 4: female term for laddie? Ladd last? There you go, Yes,
- 18:25Speaker 4: there you go. Her father, Edgar Magnin, was a rabbi,
- 18:31Speaker 4: and no, that does not mean you know what.
- 18:36Speaker 5: It does. But well, all right, it can't be a
- 18:40Speaker 5: rabbi without being Jewish, but well it lives.
- 18:43Speaker 4: I don't know, well right right, what I'm saying like
- 18:46Speaker 4: Israel's mind.
- 18:47Speaker 5: Every look, she was Jewish. Okay, let's just put it
- 18:49Speaker 5: out there.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Yes, okay. Her paternal great grandparents, Isaac and Mary Anne Magnin,
- 18:57Speaker 4: were the founders of I Magnin and Upscale women's clothing
- 19:01Speaker 4: store in San Francisco. She attended Stanford University, which is
- 19:09Speaker 4: pretty not a banded school to attend. And she was
- 19:14Speaker 4: a radio host obviously, and much of her content focused
- 19:21Speaker 4: on conspiracy theory surrounding the assassination of JFK, and she
- 19:26Speaker 4: also covered the history of fascism. She was big on
- 19:31Speaker 4: the N word Nazis.
- 19:37Speaker 5: I thought you met the other word.
- 19:39Speaker 4: I know, And she wrote a couple of articles on
- 19:46Speaker 4: that and how they were kind of not behind the assassination,
- 19:51Speaker 4: but that they were kind of like overtaking some aspects
- 19:57Speaker 4: of her government. She was very distraught and upset by
- 20:04Speaker 4: the assassination of JFK and there she purchased all twenty
- 20:12Speaker 4: six volumes of the Warrant Commission and started digging in.
- 20:20Speaker 4: So her radio program started May nineteen seventy one on
- 20:25Speaker 4: k LRB, where she questioned the Warrant Commission, suggested Lee
- 20:31Speaker 4: Harvey Oswald might have not been the only person involved,
- 20:35Speaker 4: and then later became the host of Dialogue Conspiracy, later
- 20:40Speaker 4: renamed World Watchers International. From eighty three to eighty eight,
- 20:45Speaker 4: she hosted the same show on a radio station I
- 20:49Speaker 4: think they changed her name based in Pacific Grove, which
- 20:53Speaker 4: I'm guessing is in California.
- 20:56Speaker 5: Next to Coconut Grove, I believe.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Yeah. She was married twice, and like you mentioned, she
- 21:03Speaker 4: had five children, two sons with her first husband, three daughters.
- 21:09Speaker 4: And she died in nineteen eighty eight. And we'll get
- 21:13Speaker 4: into that in the end. Let me read from Maybrussel
- 21:19Speaker 4: dot com. I do not know who runs this website.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Complacent Beverly Hills housewife May Brussel had quite an awakening
- 21:27Speaker 4: in nineteen sixty three.
- 21:29Speaker 5: Dave Emery runs it. Okay, I could be wrong, but
- 21:32Speaker 5: I think, yeah.
- 21:34Speaker 4: I believe so can you tell people who that is?
- 21:37Speaker 5: Well? He was very much inspired by May Brussel. He
- 21:42Speaker 5: was a big conspiracy radio host in the eighties. You know,
- 21:47Speaker 5: he had a lot of people on the show type
- 21:50Speaker 5: of thing. And he might still be around doing his thing.
- 21:53Speaker 5: I know he's still alive to this day, but I
- 21:56Speaker 5: don't know how much involvement he still has on things.
- 21:59Speaker 5: But as we'll get into what happened with certain things
- 22:08Speaker 5: May's empire anyway, that is, we'll get there, I promise.
- 22:14Speaker 5: But I think Dave is I mean, he knew May
- 22:21Speaker 5: and right, it's kind of like hearing up like her protege.
- 22:26Speaker 5: He followed it in her footsteps, doing the same basic
- 22:28Speaker 5: thing that she was doing. But you know, m.
- 22:32Speaker 4: Yeah, and a lot of her stuff is kind of
- 22:37Speaker 4: archived on like archive dot org. There's a YouTube channel
- 22:41Speaker 4: I'm blanking on the name that I think has a
- 22:45Speaker 4: couple hundred of her broadcasts. So there's a lot of
- 22:49Speaker 4: good stuff out there, and she has a very good
- 22:51Speaker 4: intuition into things, very intriguing character. So she saw the
- 23:01Speaker 4: we're gonna get into the wheat. We're gonna get a
- 23:04Speaker 4: lot there. Now. She saw the international terrorist network that
- 23:07Speaker 4: had made up the Axis Powers during World War Two
- 23:10Speaker 4: have got underground and continued their worldwide fascist campaign over
- 23:15Speaker 4: throwing one country after another. America was not accept except
- 23:19Speaker 4: frustrated by this vitally important information was largely unknown to
- 23:24Speaker 4: the American people. May this from that website. May went
- 23:29Speaker 4: to her friend Harry Miller of Big Sur, California. He
- 23:34Speaker 4: told her that people can do anything they want if
- 23:37Speaker 4: they apply themselves, live anywhere, learn anything. She would have
- 23:42Speaker 4: loved you too, and there is nothing worse than looking
- 23:45Speaker 4: back and regretting not having done what is important to you.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Quote don't die before you're dead end quote. Actually let
- 23:54Speaker 4: me bring this up right now.
- 23:57Speaker 5: As I read this, good words to live by.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Yeah, And with that advice, May moved herself and kids
- 24:06Speaker 4: to Carmel, California, and began the selfless, NonStop journey of
- 24:12Speaker 4: political and his history research that would soon rock the
- 24:16Speaker 4: radio airwaves of Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties from nineteen
- 24:21Speaker 4: seventy one through nineteen eighty eight. Her listeners would never
- 24:25Speaker 4: be the same. So there are some interesting tidbits that
- 24:32Speaker 4: are on this website, and I don't know if they're true.
- 24:35Speaker 4: Rob Wisness sloading, you.
- 24:39Speaker 5: Know, obviously, you know, looking back at what May was
- 24:41Speaker 5: kind of saying about about things. You know, she was
- 24:46Speaker 5: kind of right about Operation paper Clip, you know, before
- 24:50Speaker 5: it was known to be a thing, you know what
- 24:53Speaker 5: I mean. Yeah, like back when you know, when she
- 24:56Speaker 5: started getting into all this. You know, Werner von Braun
- 24:59Speaker 5: is still alive in NASA, you know what I mean.
- 25:01Speaker 4: So this is right right, he's sitting next to JFK. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:08Speaker 4: for sure. So while most of America slept, on May
- 25:16Speaker 4: twenty ninth, sixty eight, May confronted Rose Kennedy at the
- 25:21Speaker 4: Monterey Peninsula Airport and handed her, allegedly a note telling
- 25:26Speaker 4: her that RFK would soon be assassinated again.
- 25:29Speaker 5: This was one week before he was actually assassinated one week.
- 25:35Speaker 4: A week later, he was shot to death at the
- 25:36Speaker 4: Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.
- 25:41Speaker 5: Now Rose Kennedy would have been his mother.
- 25:48Speaker 4: Rfk's mother. Yeah, yeah, I believe No, wasn't that Ethel.
- 25:54Speaker 5: I thought Ethel was his wife?
- 25:56Speaker 4: Oh right, yeah, I think it was his mom though. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:03Speaker 4: I'm a little help here. We should know this. Frank Zappa, yes,
- 26:10Speaker 4: once gave her a computer for filing and cross indexing
- 26:14Speaker 4: her research in quotations, but she never used it end quote.
- 26:19Speaker 4: And I saw something I don't know if this is true,
- 26:24Speaker 4: that Frank Zappa was some type of agent government agent,
- 26:28Speaker 4: and that she was so paranoid that she did not
- 26:32Speaker 4: want to use that computer for fear that it had
- 26:36Speaker 4: been bugged for a lot of a better term.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Yes, he was one of the weird scenes in the valley,
- 26:47Speaker 5: and it wasn't lost on May. Even back then there
- 26:51Speaker 5: was some weird shit going on in Laura Canyon, you know,
- 26:54Speaker 5: around the time of the of course, the late Tate
- 26:58Speaker 5: LaBianca Manson stuff and all the other crazy things that
- 27:02Speaker 5: was going on in Laurel Canyon. May was not oblivious
- 27:05Speaker 5: to that. So yeah, he gave her a computer to use.
- 27:09Speaker 5: And now, of course, not in the sense that computers now,
- 27:15Speaker 5: I mean we're talking about nineteen early seventies here, you know,
- 27:19Speaker 5: it wasn't like a personal computer you know, it was
- 27:21Speaker 5: probably freaking huge, probably half the size of her garage
- 27:24Speaker 5: or something, right, with not most capability other than I
- 27:28Speaker 5: don't even know what it's not like she could scan
- 27:30Speaker 5: her clipped articles into it and have him codlate things
- 27:34Speaker 5: and move stuff around, So I don't blame her. She's
- 27:36Speaker 5: probably like, I ain't even messing with that thing.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Right, right, right, But very interesting little tibbit there. She
- 27:48Speaker 4: of course covered a bunch of other conspiratorial topics, including
- 27:53Speaker 4: Jim Jones and the People's Temple moved to Guyana. She
- 27:57Speaker 4: speculated it might be a training camp for assassination teams,
- 28:05Speaker 4: her countless list of German and white Russian fascist fingerprints.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Before you just gloss over that one, Okay, we're talking
- 28:14Speaker 5: about Jim Jones and the People's Temple and uh, of
- 28:19Speaker 5: course what happened? Oh man, what's the word Jonestown? Yes,
- 28:25Speaker 5: and very critical of Mark Lane, being one of the
- 28:30Speaker 5: few survivors of Jonestown. You know, was she correct in
- 28:35Speaker 5: pointing out how sust that was back then? Probably?
- 28:38Speaker 4: Probably?
- 28:41Speaker 5: Yeah, You're gonna remember the milieu that she surrounded in
- 28:45Speaker 5: here in northern California around San Francisco and all of
- 28:51Speaker 5: this stuff and you know, this was like well before
- 28:58Speaker 5: Jim Jones moved the People's Temple to Guyana or French
- 29:03Speaker 5: Guiana or what however Oswald said it in the radio debate,
- 29:08Speaker 5: it was literally the middle of a jungle in Africa, right.
- 29:13Speaker 5: But his church was in San Francisco before this, which
- 29:17Speaker 5: is very close in proximity to where May was living
- 29:21Speaker 5: at the time. So you know, she's kind of very
- 29:25Speaker 5: close to certain things. But sorry, Joe, go ahead, No.
- 29:29Speaker 4: It's okay, thank you for that context. I found it
- 29:35Speaker 4: interesting that she focused on the white Russian fascist fascist
- 29:44Speaker 4: figure prints to President Kennedy's assassination, which reached its peak
- 29:48Speaker 4: in May of nineteen eighty eight, when she discovered the
- 29:52Speaker 4: name Adolph H.
- 29:56Speaker 5: Shi Group.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Yes, handwritten in Marina's Marina Oswald's notebook of poetry, which
- 30:04Speaker 4: is actually in the Warrant Commission exhibits.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Yes, now you is that, Joe. For the people that
- 30:12Speaker 5: don't know, I do not know, that would be Adolph
- 30:23Speaker 5: grandfather's name.
- 30:25Speaker 4: Okay, his grants.
- 30:28Speaker 5: They changed their name from the chicl Gruber to Heidler
- 30:35Speaker 5: and then eventually to you know what it became. But yes,
- 30:41Speaker 5: so what she's basically saying here is that Adolph mister
- 30:47Speaker 5: mustache man was actually a descendant of that. He had
- 30:54Speaker 5: he had a Jewish background, right, which is odd because
- 30:58Speaker 5: of his supposed hatred to words that race. Right. Well,
- 31:02Speaker 5: the rest of the story here, we're I'm trying to
- 31:04Speaker 5: tap dance a little bit on some peanuts shells here.
- 31:07Speaker 4: God, there's a lot.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Of keywords going on here that shouldn't mean being said here,
- 31:11Speaker 5: But you get the point. Yeah, yeah, So why is
- 31:18Speaker 5: that in Marina's book or address book? That's very weird?
- 31:27Speaker 5: It is weird, doesn't mean anything, who knows?
- 31:30Speaker 6: Who knows.
- 31:34Speaker 4: There were many times when death threats drove May off
- 31:38Speaker 4: the air, once by Charles Manson family member Sandra Good
- 31:43Speaker 4: in September seventy five.
- 31:47Speaker 5: I promise, I got okay, You got okay.
- 31:50Speaker 4: Sometimes May resorted to recording her shows at home on
- 31:53Speaker 4: our small cassette tape player and privately mailed out copies to.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Her subscribers first Podcaster No.
- 32:03Speaker 4: And then she died of cancer on October third and
- 32:12Speaker 4: nineteen eighty eight.
- 32:13Speaker 5: And there's a conspiracy with that, which we'll get into.
- 32:16Speaker 5: I promise, Yeah.
- 32:18Speaker 4: It was a very fast acting growing cancer. If you will,
- 32:24Speaker 4: and we will get into that later, I'm sure. Let
- 32:31Speaker 4: me just see if I have anything else before going
- 32:32Speaker 4: to hand it back off to you. So Rob, I'm
- 32:35Speaker 4: having some of course, as we live pod here, I'm
- 32:42Speaker 4: having some difficulty share downloading my PowerPoint, which is very weird.
- 32:50Speaker 4: So I'm just going to enhance this a little bit
- 32:56Speaker 4: and we'll just do it from this because it's just
- 32:58Speaker 4: not downloading it.
- 33:01Speaker 5: He was he was lowered lawyering Paula. He said, what
- 33:06Speaker 5: the fuck was Mark Aline doing down in June Sown?
- 33:09Speaker 4: That's a good question.
- 33:12Speaker 5: Was it in South America? Thought it was in Africa.
- 33:18Speaker 5: I don't know wherever. It was in the middle of
- 33:20Speaker 5: a jungle somewhere.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Hold on, let me see you why a an a,
- 33:26Speaker 4: Oh it is in South America. Yeah, there you go.
- 33:30Speaker 4: It is. Uh.
- 33:32Speaker 5: Sorry, I got my jungle countries mixed up.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Yeah, it's uh and uh. I can't blame you for that.
- 33:43Speaker 4: Condon near Brazil and Venezuela, only English speaking country in
- 33:49Speaker 4: South America, but only in a population of under one million.
- 33:54Speaker 6: So there you go.
- 33:55Speaker 5: That's your cheap land. That's that's why he went there.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's probably right.
- 34:04Speaker 5: Yes, James, everything is verboten here you'd be surprised.
- 34:10Speaker 4: Okay, before I hand it off to you, Rob, see
- 34:14Speaker 4: if I could share this really quick or yeah, put
- 34:17Speaker 4: this up.
- 34:18Speaker 6: Oh shoot, I just took it down. There you go,
- 34:33Speaker 6: all right.
- 34:33Speaker 4: So sorry for this. This is like through my Gmail.
- 34:37Speaker 4: I don't know what's going on in my PowerPoint matrix
- 34:41Speaker 4: attack as we say, who was made Brussel? This is
- 34:44Speaker 4: a picture of her here with all her books. Uh,
- 34:48Speaker 4: this is a picture of one of her What would
- 34:56Speaker 4: you call it? Maybe an appearance dialogue Conspiracy?
- 35:02Speaker 5: I have the same thing. This was an in person
- 35:04Speaker 5: appearance at the San Jose Civic Center where she was
- 35:08Speaker 5: giving a talk to the public. This was not like
- 35:15Speaker 5: you know on the radio type of thing. She was
- 35:16Speaker 5: showing up in person and doing it in person and
- 35:20Speaker 5: charging two fifty a pop on a Sunday nineteen and
- 35:26Speaker 5: seventy four when I was birthed into this world. She Wow,
- 35:31Speaker 5: she is doing a dialogue Conspiracy live. It's a discussion
- 35:36Speaker 5: of ten years of her research into political assassinations, covering
- 35:39Speaker 5: conspiracy from Dallas to the current Bay area of violences
- 35:41Speaker 5: and kidnappings.
- 35:43Speaker 4: Thinking that as an early lancer conference, I'm just skidding
- 35:49Speaker 4: just with one person, but kind of cool. Sorry, I
- 35:56Speaker 4: stole her thunder there, Rob, It's okay. She was corresponding
- 36:02Speaker 4: with Harold Wiseberg.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Have more thunder?
- 36:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I bet you too. She was corresponding with Weyberg
- 36:12Speaker 4: back as early as seventy one, I believe.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Try earlier than that.
- 36:18Speaker 4: Earlier than that.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Maybe at the earliest I found was sixty six. I think.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, yeah, I figured there were more. You know,
- 36:31Speaker 4: a lot of it.
- 36:32Speaker 5: Isn't when he was calling her missus Brussel and she
- 36:37Speaker 5: was calling him mister Wiseburg.
- 36:39Speaker 4: So now they're on a first name basis. Yeah, okay,
- 36:42Speaker 4: that makes sense. Your letter of the eleventh was delayed
- 36:54Speaker 4: reaching me.
- 36:56Speaker 5: Sorry, let me help you with this, okay, uh, because
- 37:00Speaker 5: this is just one of several letters that I found
- 37:02Speaker 5: as well. Uh, from May to Harold or Harold to May.
- 37:07Speaker 5: And Harold was a con contrary old bastard, right and
- 37:14Speaker 5: very cheap, much like Joe. He didn't like being charged
- 37:22Speaker 5: nickels and dimes for things like hey, folks. He kept
- 37:25Speaker 5: getting pissed at May because she kept writing the wrong
- 37:28Speaker 5: address or sending it, sending all her ship letters and
- 37:31Speaker 5: stuff to an old address, and every letter. You see,
- 37:35Speaker 5: He's like I've been trying to tell you, uh, you know,
- 37:41Speaker 5: I got your letter late because you send it to
- 37:43Speaker 5: the wrong address. Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 37:45Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, to be fair to mister Wiseberg, you know,
- 37:50Speaker 4: he was corresponding with a lot of people, right, we
- 37:54Speaker 4: can go back to you know, researchers like Gary Schooner
- 37:57Speaker 4: or you know, few dozen other people, at least probably
- 38:04Speaker 4: over one hundred, I would guess. So, I mean that
- 38:09Speaker 4: shit adds up.
- 38:12Speaker 5: Yeah, it most certainly does.
- 38:17Speaker 4: So since you have this, let me see if there's
- 38:21Speaker 4: anything I'm missing here.
- 38:25Speaker 6: That I don't want to skip over.
- 38:30Speaker 4: The sharing of the envelope cannot be explained as innocently.
- 38:34Speaker 4: But it is the proper. But if the proper was
- 38:38Speaker 4: yellowed on one side of this, that is because that
- 38:41Speaker 4: is also something I am using up. It is outdated
- 38:48Speaker 4: paper for an Oswald copying machine. I was given an
- 38:55Speaker 4: entire carton of it, either ten thousand or twenty thousand
- 38:59Speaker 4: sheets of it. I'm not exactly sure what she's referring
- 39:02Speaker 4: to here.
- 39:03Speaker 5: He's using old stationary to write his shit on, is
- 39:06Speaker 5: what he's saying. But he's trying to tell her don't
- 39:09Speaker 5: send it to that address. You know it's on the stationary,
- 39:13Speaker 5: but he needs to use up. There's twenty thousand pages
- 39:15Speaker 5: of old stationary for that's how much of a stingy
- 39:19Speaker 5: penny pinching cadre he was.
- 39:22Speaker 4: Dear Harold, this is from May. I received your book
- 39:26Speaker 4: and your letter.
- 39:28Speaker 5: H The letter you.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Mailed to me May twenty sixth was almost destroyed. The
- 39:35Speaker 4: outside was burnt, so it's going back and forth by
- 39:40Speaker 4: the Thermo Fast machine. I suppose the letter was charred yellow,
- 39:48Speaker 4: blah blah blah. I'm thinking of having an attorney at
- 39:50Speaker 4: this and look at I'm thinking of having an attorney
- 39:53Speaker 4: at this and look into this. Then I am going
- 39:56Speaker 4: to frame it. If you want a photo copy, I
- 39:59Speaker 4: will send it. Of course. He wrote about the Nazis,
- 40:05Speaker 4: Schmidt Kaplan, and a lot of goodies to be photographed.
- 40:10Speaker 4: Met with Robert Blair Kaiser, who I believe wrote an
- 40:14Speaker 4: article about her right last week. After taking his book apart,
- 40:21Speaker 4: sentence by sentence, he is going to come to Carmel
- 40:24Speaker 4: so I can show him where the conspiracy exists. He believes,
- 40:29Speaker 4: but has no imagination or insight to restructure it. This
- 40:37Speaker 4: could be a major breakthrough in caps for all of
- 40:41Speaker 4: us LA. People are very excited because of his contacts
- 40:47Speaker 4: and the possibility of researching him. Blah blah blah, neighbors.
- 40:53Speaker 4: And then she talks about RFK must die. And I
- 40:56Speaker 4: guess she's talking about RFK at this point. So you know,
- 41:02Speaker 4: I was searching for some documents on her, and there
- 41:05Speaker 4: is a forty page FBI document on archive dot org.
- 41:12Speaker 4: I didn't find it. On Mary Ferrell. A lot of
- 41:17Speaker 4: it is really her talking about threats to her and
- 41:24Speaker 4: her family. Yeah, it's not really JFK related, but I
- 41:30Speaker 4: want to at least give one example here. This is
- 41:35Speaker 4: November seventy five. On eleven three, seventy five, victim furnished
- 41:42Speaker 4: copy of extortion letter to following agents. Letters has followed. May,
- 41:48Speaker 4: you are thinking yourself in a circle of madness redacted
- 41:52Speaker 4: has redacted in prison and all that bs you are
- 41:58Speaker 4: running is only reflection of what the news and books
- 42:02Speaker 4: have programmed your soul's mind brain to. You were looking
- 42:06Speaker 4: for attention, it seems if you were looking for your
- 42:10Speaker 4: death wish in your family. In the family victim also
- 42:15Speaker 4: victim being May Brussel also pointed out that she has
- 42:18Speaker 4: received three telephone calls from unknown persons, one of which
- 42:23Speaker 4: was threatening in nature. During the telephone call and question,
- 42:28Speaker 4: unidentified callers stated quote, you had better start growing a
- 42:32Speaker 4: vegetable garden or you won't be around. Misogynis much for
- 42:41Speaker 4: the information of the Bureau. Victim is a resident valley
- 42:45Speaker 4: of Carmel, California, who is self employed as a public speaker,
- 42:49Speaker 4: author of columnist, and occasionally heads up the local say
- 42:55Speaker 4: anti Semitic, no sent sentimentalistic, I don't know.
- 43:04Speaker 5: Well, I have this the unredacted version of this. Okay,
- 43:09Speaker 5: this is actually a threat from Susan Good, a member
- 43:14Speaker 5: of the Manson family. They redacted her name. Okay, So
- 43:19Speaker 5: this was a death threat from a member of the
- 43:22Speaker 5: Manson family to May.
- 43:25Speaker 4: And of course she was talking about the Manson family
- 43:28Speaker 4: and you know, possible CIA operations or whatever, which she
- 43:36Speaker 4: might not be wrong about. So I'll skip that unless
- 43:42Speaker 4: you do it. This is another one. This is in
- 43:46Speaker 4: seventy six airtowl to Bureau, dated caption redacted. May Brussel
- 43:55Speaker 4: victim extortions, San Francisco. So my point is going to
- 44:00Speaker 4: go through all this, A lot of people were threatening
- 44:04Speaker 4: her for one reason or another, and I guess there
- 44:07Speaker 4: are reasons varied, but this is what most of her
- 44:14Speaker 4: file contains. It's not like a ton about JFK per Se.
- 44:22Speaker 5: Yeah, and corresponding with a lot of death threats she received,
- 44:25Speaker 5: she would take herself off the air for a period
- 44:28Speaker 5: of time to make you know, to get out of
- 44:32Speaker 5: the spotlight for a hot minute, go on the lamb. Yeah,
- 44:37Speaker 5: And she would do her shows and record them and
- 44:39Speaker 5: send them out. She would still do her shows, you know,
- 44:43Speaker 5: she would record them in this radio studio, but not
- 44:46Speaker 5: actually broadcasting from the radio studio. Correspond with a lot
- 44:50Speaker 5: of death threats she got over the years. She did
- 44:52Speaker 5: not take death threats likely or lightly.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Right, right, for sure. Some of the things I found
- 45:00Speaker 4: this is HCA. They did approve. You see the yes
- 45:08Speaker 4: on the left side here via the Phoebe's the release
- 45:13Speaker 4: all records regarding May Brussel. And like I said, there's
- 45:16Speaker 4: nothing super interesting besides threats and stuff like that. So
- 45:23Speaker 4: you can take this down now and I'll hand it
- 45:26Speaker 4: off to you. But and I'll kind of finish it off.
- 45:31Speaker 4: But definitely lived, I mean, definitely had reason to fear
- 45:37Speaker 4: for some things, I mean serious enough in her mind
- 45:41Speaker 4: to contact the FBI.
- 45:49Speaker 5: And so let's get into a little bit earlier things
- 45:55Speaker 5: with May and talk a little bit about some things
- 45:59Speaker 5: that happened to her family. They're a little bit crazy.
- 46:05Speaker 1: And h.
- 46:09Speaker 5: Let's see here.
- 46:09Speaker 7: Let me share my screen. Okay, all right.
- 46:30Speaker 5: This is from an article written by William Weston, who
- 46:36Speaker 5: has famously written a lot of good stuff about the
- 46:40Speaker 5: jfk assassination.
- 46:42Speaker 7: Mm hmm.
- 46:47Speaker 5: This is talking about her son, Marvin Marvin Brussel, who
- 46:52Speaker 5: she believes was a target of the MK Ultra program. Okay,
- 47:00Speaker 5: she talked about this in nineteen seventy eight on her program.
- 47:09Speaker 5: I'm not sure who Louise is, but she says that
- 47:13Speaker 5: her son had in nineteen sixty seven when she was
- 47:16Speaker 5: in New Orleans with Jim Garrison, he had what was
- 47:19Speaker 5: supposed to be a heart attack in nineteen Joe and
- 47:24Speaker 5: I guess Louise was another MK Ultra victim, but she
- 47:27Speaker 5: said Louise had a heart attack. She was older than Marvin,
- 47:30Speaker 5: about forty five and Marvin was nineteen, and they had
- 47:32Speaker 5: similar symptoms. Their memories were gone. They became rigid, catatonic,
- 47:39Speaker 5: wasting away, starving to death. Okay, she became a hermit.
- 47:44Speaker 5: He became a hermit. They were cut off from their friends.
- 47:47Speaker 5: Two people different in age, but one had a mother
- 47:49Speaker 5: to help him her, whereas the other had no one.
- 47:54Speaker 5: So she interviewed her son, Marvin Goodwin. Again, this is
- 47:57Speaker 5: from a previous marriage, not not to Billy Brussel, but
- 48:01Speaker 5: to her previous husband.
- 48:03Speaker 4: Yeah. I think it was John Goodwin or something. Yeah.
- 48:06Speaker 5: Yeah, So she interviewed her son on her show Right
- 48:10Speaker 5: on your Birthday in nineteen seventy six, And this is
- 48:16Speaker 5: a conversation kind of between me, she said, I've talked
- 48:19Speaker 5: about mind control and behavior modification quite a bit on
- 48:21Speaker 5: different programs. The proliferation of these weapons by the Pentagon
- 48:25Speaker 5: is just terrible, but much more dangerous as to taking
- 48:27Speaker 5: away of our privacy and the right to our own minds,
- 48:31Speaker 5: she says. There was a long article about Alan Dulles
- 48:33Speaker 5: and the CIA developing truth drugs used by narcs. The
- 48:37Speaker 5: La Times says the drugs were tested at a state
- 48:39Speaker 5: medical facility in Vacaville, which is in California, and at
- 48:43Speaker 5: the US Drug Treatment Center in Frankfurt, Kentucky. Now what's
- 48:46Speaker 5: interesting about Vacaville, Joe, is it was a mental state
- 48:51Speaker 5: mental hospital where Arthur Lee Allen was for a little
- 48:56Speaker 5: bit who was accused of being the Zodiac Killer, which
- 49:00Speaker 5: is interesting. The San Francisco Chronicle and the Examiner left
- 49:05Speaker 5: out the name Vaucaville, even though the CIA documents clearly
- 49:08Speaker 5: state that it was Vacaville. The use of programming on
- 49:10Speaker 5: Donald the Frieze was set up in the Sibian Libery
- 49:15Speaker 5: or whatever the hell that thing was called, the Sibian
- 49:20Speaker 5: Lebanese Army or you know what I'm saying. SLA was
- 49:25Speaker 5: at Vacaville on Dullas according to the documents as early
- 49:28Speaker 5: as fifty three. I mean, she's talking about mk ultra
- 49:31Speaker 5: here Joe before. I mean, this is in nineteen seventy six. Bro,
- 49:36Speaker 5: she's talking about this, right, The CIA bought two hundred
- 49:41Speaker 5: and forty thousand dollars worth of LSD ordered by Allan Dulls,
- 49:45Speaker 5: enough to turn on one hundred million Americans, half the population.
- 49:49Speaker 5: She goes in through and talks to all this stuff, right,
- 49:53Speaker 5: and she talks about my family, my son getting this LSD.
- 49:57Speaker 5: I knew right from the beginning that he had this
- 49:59Speaker 5: kind of LSD. I'm not saying LSD that all let
- 50:02Speaker 5: us D calls you to be schizophrenic. What I am
- 50:04Speaker 5: saying is that the government created specific drugs to cause it.
- 50:07Speaker 5: There are even leading documents of these under the Freedom
- 50:10Speaker 5: of Information Act. Now, so I have Marvin here. I
- 50:13Speaker 5: want you to meet my son, Marvin Goodwin. We're gonna
- 50:15Speaker 5: talk about his schizophrenia that the CIA gave him in
- 50:18Speaker 5: nineteen sixty seven, and let him share with you. Because
- 50:21Speaker 5: when you read a New York Times article or LA Times,
- 50:23Speaker 5: it's just a piece of paper. Maybe you know someone
- 50:25Speaker 5: who has the experiences. So he's going to be on
- 50:28Speaker 5: the show with me to talk about what we went
- 50:30Speaker 5: through his experience with LSD. Where do we start, Marvin,
- 50:34Speaker 5: I'm not exactly sure. We just the people involved in right.
- 50:42Speaker 5: Poor Marvin is just poor, brain dead bro like. But
- 50:50Speaker 5: you get the idea, right, So very early in this process,
- 50:57Speaker 5: and we're talking sixty seven and may have just gotten into,
- 51:01Speaker 5: you know, kind of researching all this stuff and corresponding
- 51:05Speaker 5: with all these various people. But she's already thinking, Okay, look,
- 51:12Speaker 5: lots of nineteen year old kids in the sixties, especially
- 51:14Speaker 5: in northern California, we're getting turned on to the to LSD.
- 51:20Speaker 4: Correct, especially in Sans.
- 51:23Speaker 5: Yeah, they were going to the electric kool Aid acid tests,
- 51:26Speaker 5: you know, and seeing the grateful dead play and for
- 51:29Speaker 5: the first time and everybody's tripping their balls off, you
- 51:31Speaker 5: know back then, you know, did her poor kid just
- 51:35Speaker 5: get a hold of some bad acid or take a
- 51:37Speaker 5: lot of fucking acid and kind of sid buried in
- 51:44Speaker 5: himself at something, you know, And you know, through through
- 51:51Speaker 5: the lens of conspiracy, Joe May is thinking they got him,
- 51:55Speaker 5: They got to him, and they turned him into a schizophrenic,
- 52:00Speaker 5: vegetable piece of piece of mess, at least in her mind, right,
- 52:06Speaker 5: you know, which, as they say, it's a problem, right,
- 52:15Speaker 5: But yeah, there's lots of stuff about that. And then
- 52:22Speaker 5: there was another incident that happened when she was on
- 52:27Speaker 5: her way back from New Orleans. Actually helped from helping
- 52:31Speaker 5: Jim Garrison in nineteen sixty seven. So let's take a
- 52:36Speaker 5: look at this, Okay. On September fifteenth and sixty seven,
- 52:43Speaker 5: a reservation agent at Delta Airlines Dallas received a call
- 52:47Speaker 5: that a bomb was a board Delta Airlines flight eight
- 52:49Speaker 5: twenty seven. It had originated in Atlanta and was en
- 52:53Speaker 5: route to San Francisco via Dallas. Right A search of
- 52:57Speaker 5: the aircraft failed to locate any bomb. But Missus May
- 53:01Speaker 5: Mangan Brussell, who was boarding this flight for San Francisco,
- 53:05Speaker 5: made comments at love Field in Dallas. She had conducted
- 53:10Speaker 5: research on the Kennedy assassination, had been in conference with
- 53:13Speaker 5: Da Jim Garrison, New Orleans for three days. San Francisco
- 53:17Speaker 5: determined that May Brussel or Missus Brussell in the past
- 53:20Speaker 5: that expressed great alarm over the fact the United States
- 53:22Speaker 5: is becoming fascist and they know that she's the daughter
- 53:26Speaker 5: of Rabbi Edgar Magnan, and has been reported that May
- 53:30Speaker 5: Brussell has leaning left wing leanings and is not in
- 53:34Speaker 5: good favor with her father. She supports Mark Lane's book
- 53:37Speaker 5: Rush to Judgment and takes a view that Lee Harvey
- 53:39Speaker 5: Aldballs was not a communist. She pictures America as controlled
- 53:44Speaker 5: by conspirators in the government, which views she has stated
- 53:47Speaker 5: publicly says she is writing a book on the assassination,
- 53:51Speaker 5: but she never did, and claims the government is withholding
- 53:53Speaker 5: information on the assassination and the press is suppressing news
- 53:56Speaker 5: on the investigation by the New Orleans Da Jim Garret person.
- 54:01Speaker 5: Missus Brussels described as an author and a playwright and
- 54:03Speaker 5: due to her thinking what she has expressed publicly Dallas
- 54:07Speaker 5: and San Francisco are to incorporate information into let her
- 54:10Speaker 5: Head memoranda suitable for dissemination to the Department and US
- 54:13Speaker 5: Secret Service. In a letter to Harold Weisberg, she wrote,
- 54:19Speaker 5: here's how it really happened. I got on the plane
- 54:21Speaker 5: in New Orleans for San Francisco. I didn't know the
- 54:24Speaker 5: flight went through Dallas when I bought my ticket.
- 54:27Speaker 4: Right right, so layover.
- 54:29Speaker 5: Yeah, so, she says, we stopped in Dallas for thirty minutes.
- 54:33Speaker 5: I didn't even get off the plane. After everybody was
- 54:36Speaker 5: on the plane seat belt attacks. They announced on the speaker,
- 54:38Speaker 5: don't be nervous, take your time. We received a call
- 54:41Speaker 5: there's a bomb. Get off as quickly hit possible. So
- 54:44Speaker 5: as we're getting off the plane, just before going down
- 54:46Speaker 5: the steps, two Dallas police officials came to me. Took
- 54:48Speaker 5: me by my arm, let me into a small room
- 54:51Speaker 5: to the right, away from the other one hundred people
- 54:53Speaker 5: who are mingling around. I was kept in that room.
- 54:57Speaker 5: Two cops sat there, one at the door went against
- 54:59Speaker 5: my wall. My luggage consisted of one bag of clothing,
- 55:03Speaker 5: another bag of twelve spiral notebooks. Charts of the Dallas
- 55:06Speaker 5: family tree with information about the De Morny Shields, Ruth Paine,
- 55:09Speaker 5: Marina motorcade, route placement of Oswald. In the depository, they
- 55:13Speaker 5: went through everybody's cameras, luggage, pre leane, nuts, pictures, packages.
- 55:19Speaker 5: The plane was emptied on the field, meals were thrown out,
- 55:21Speaker 5: new food brought in, and then I was taken out
- 55:23Speaker 5: of the room where six of seven men identified themselves
- 55:26Speaker 5: as CIA and FBI, my suitcase in front of them,
- 55:29Speaker 5: being the last person out of the room, the others
- 55:31Speaker 5: having exit or entered the plane. In those days, I
- 55:34Speaker 5: was stupid. I went on the plane. I left the
- 55:37Speaker 5: notebooks behind. The suitcase with the clothing was in San Francisco,
- 55:41Speaker 5: but the suitcase with the notebooks never arrived. I was
- 55:43Speaker 5: told it would be returned by a special plane hand delivered.
- 55:47Speaker 5: They wanted to come directly to the house. I told
- 55:49Speaker 5: the scum bastards not to contaminate my home. I would
- 55:52Speaker 5: meet them at Monterey Airport. Five days later, a man
- 55:55Speaker 5: with a VIP tag delivered that suitcase back to me,
- 55:58Speaker 5: obviously all copied and on her program. She said. When
- 56:03Speaker 5: I came home from New Orleans, I was traumatized. I
- 56:05Speaker 5: was dizzy and a doctor friend of mine who was
- 56:08Speaker 5: at the University of California, also a lawyer, said, Oh,
- 56:12Speaker 5: the reason you're dizzy is they probably gave you some
- 56:14Speaker 5: radiation in Dallas. Right, So again, how much of this, Joe,
- 56:21Speaker 5: do you think is paranoid activity or did may have
- 56:30Speaker 5: good reason to feel violated in this moment do you think?
- 56:37Speaker 5: Or is it just all a figment of her imagine?
- 56:40Speaker 8: I come to my head, I think a lot of
- 56:48Speaker 8: it was paranoia, paranoia.
- 56:52Speaker 4: I think there could.
- 56:52Speaker 5: Be some truth to it though, absolutely, And of course
- 56:59Speaker 5: you know she talks about the correlations between that and
- 57:02Speaker 5: Frank Olsen, the CIA and LSD, the links to mental
- 57:08Speaker 5: illness from the use of such drugs right by the CIA, allegedly.
- 57:16Speaker 4: So it wasn't actually a layover. It was like almost
- 57:21Speaker 4: like an emergency stop almost.
- 57:23Speaker 5: Right, it was a It was a it was a
- 57:27Speaker 5: it was a stop like the plane started in Atlanta,
- 57:30Speaker 5: stopped in New Orleans. It would drop people off, pick
- 57:32Speaker 5: people up, went to Dallas, drop people off, pick people up,
- 57:35Speaker 5: and then eventually to San Francisco.
- 57:38Speaker 4: But she didn't get off the plane, right, So.
- 57:41Speaker 5: Yeah, it was only like a thirty minutely thirty minute
- 57:44Speaker 5: type deal.
- 57:45Speaker 4: Yeah. I don't know how layover it has worked back then, obviously,
- 57:49Speaker 4: But yeah, if it was just that in and out,
- 57:54Speaker 4: usually you have to get off the plane, go to
- 57:56Speaker 4: a different gate, get your connecting flight, blah blah blah
- 58:01Speaker 4: type of thing, right, But I don't know how it
- 58:04Speaker 4: worked back then.
- 58:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it seems to me like she was
- 58:08Speaker 5: singled out for a reason. I mean, Wiseberg had issues
- 58:11Speaker 5: when he went down to get to Garrison's investigation as
- 58:16Speaker 5: well as you know, uh yeah, things came a missing typewriter,
- 58:23Speaker 5: you know, suitcase, things of this nature. So, I mean,
- 58:29Speaker 5: being who she was and where she was, I can
- 58:32Speaker 5: see why they would want to kind of pull it.
- 58:36Speaker 5: They did. They did a little too overtly though, right, Yeah.
- 58:39Speaker 5: It could have easily went through her ship covertly and
- 58:42Speaker 5: copied things. I'll say, well we lost we lost your luggage.
- 58:44Speaker 5: I'm sorry, you know, type of thing, instead of dragon
- 58:47Speaker 5: in a room and questioning about it.
- 58:51Speaker 4: Yeah, then sending some skuffos or offering to to her house.
- 58:57Speaker 5: I don't know what you best, just contaminating my house.
- 59:01Speaker 4: That's the gangster.
- 59:03Speaker 5: Let's get back to some other members of her family.
- 59:05Speaker 4: Joe, all right, did did she rob did she have
- 59:10Speaker 4: a kid that was killed in a car crash?
- 59:13Speaker 5: We'll get there, Joe, all right, alright.
- 59:16Speaker 6: Alright, sorry, fuck man, I'm the worst.
- 59:23Speaker 4: Tom Yeah yeah, yeah, thanks, thanks for sugar quoting it.
- 59:30Speaker 5: Shit all right. Well, at the end of the show, folks,
- 59:42Speaker 5: Joe has sucked all the oxygen out of the room.
- 59:44Speaker 4: Now, Oh, come on, continue, pray continue, sir.
- 59:50Speaker 5: All right, the same sun, the same summer. Uh, that
- 59:57Speaker 5: would be sixty seven. David, her other son, David, had
- 59:59Speaker 5: a car accident leaving dinner with Lee, a man from
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: Brazil who teaches at the Defense Language School that was
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: headed by Richard Galen, who was formerly the head of
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: you know whose intelligence Eastern Division. Yes, yes, he flew
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: to the Pentagon, flew out here to Monterey to the
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: Defense Language School where there was a nest of white
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: Russians and in word agents, and then flew back to
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: Germany where Atavilla protected him from war crimes. When David
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: had the car accident and he was thrown out of
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: the car, and that was after having dinner with Lee.
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: So apparently she thinks that her son David was the
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: target of some kind of crazy, uh conspiracy Luckily he
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: was unhurt, but May's daughter Bonnie was killed several months
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: later in a car wreck that occurred on December fifteenth,
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: nineteen seventy, and her sister, Barbara, that's Bonnie's sister. Barbara,
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: May's other daughter, was among six students in a Volkswagen
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: van driven by their dance teacher, Sharon Elliott. They were
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: on State Highway one, coming home from a concert in
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: aptives Is at night. The highway was slicked, and a
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: car driven by John Zavoni, a high school principal in
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: Watsonville who had recently been charged and booked for a
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: moral conduct with a teenage boy.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: Joe suddenly should be laughing, but you just can't make this.
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: Up, suddenly turned in front of Elliott's van and caused
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: a rear in collision and killed were the driver, Miss Elliott,
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: Cecilia Neil, and Bonnie Brussel. Four other students were severely injured,
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: including Barbara, who almost died. So not only was one
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: of May's daughters killed, but her other daughter almost died.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: It was so bad, so you can understand where she's
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: coming from from the perspective of being paranoid. After all
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: these consecutive events.
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: Yeah. Now, the driver of the other car, John Zavoni,
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: ended up being paralyzed from the chest down, and the
- 1:02:14Speaker 5: only one that walked away with minor injuries was Zevoni's passenger,
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: Steve Garcia, who had to be a soldier from Fort
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: ord Garcia immediately went a wall and fled to Utah.
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: The army made no effort to bring it back. Zavoni
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: was charged with three counts of manslaughter. These were later
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: dismissed due to the severity of his injuries, and Bruce Roberts,
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: the man who gave May Brussel the Gemstone file in
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: nineteen seventy two, told her the accident was set up
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: by New Orleans mob boss Carlos Marcello. What in the
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: hell row.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: I mean, so you can see how all right, She's
- 1:02:59Speaker 5: got all this shit going on, and her family is
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: starting to be affected by all this, at least in
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: her mind. You know, bad things can happen, you know,
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: when you have a large family, you got five kids,
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: there's lots of moving parts and pieces. Bad shit's gonna
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: happen sometimes. But right, is it coincidence or is it
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: a conspiracy? Because you're talking about all this shit you
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: shouldn't be talking about right now. What makes me a
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: little hesitant. Here is another pioneering female researcher into the
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: JFK assassination was a lonely housewife from Oklahoma named Shirley Martin. Okay,
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: wait till you hear this. This is this is where
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: it gets crazy.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: Bro.
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: So Shirley Martin and Oklahoma housewife ultimate trips to Dallas
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: and turned important Lee's regarding the assassination of Kennedy. All
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: that ended after her twenty two year old daughter got
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: in a car wreck one September twelfth, nineteen sixty seven.
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: Victoria Martin was a passenger riding in the front seat
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: of a Volkswagen Beetle driven by her friend Candy Simmons.
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: It suddenly collided head on into another car and then
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: ricocheted into the path of a pickup truck. Candice died
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: the following day, and Victoria died on September sixteenth. Noticeably,
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: it was on September fifteenth, one day earlier, that Marvin
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: began his journey into LSD induced schizophrenia. Coincidence or conspiracy,
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: But I mean it's the correlations here are crazy right,
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: and unlike May. Unlike May, who would continue you her
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: conspiracy research despite everything that was going on in her
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: life and everything that was happening to her. Shirley Martin's
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: journey into the JFK assassination stopped when her daughter was
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: killed because she took it as a sign to shut
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: the fuck up and quit doing what you're doing. And
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: that's exactly what she did.
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: Yeah, that was the end of Shirley Martin's JFK assassination
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: research stopped very abruptly after that. But make kept going.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: Joe May kept going, kept going. Props. Yeah, my propers.
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: Oh what's that?
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: Oh, oh, hear David Ferry coming around the corner. Thank
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: you Brandon, who got him? Joe Aaron Proctor the.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: Farmer guy or something real tea with Christian Murrie. Got one.

- 1:07:05Speaker 5: Yeah, there's a lot of them.
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: There's a lot.
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: There's a lot of shows out there that nobody has
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: ever heard before.
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: And they're bangers.
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: Very few people and their bangers. They are all bangers.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, no, the the parallels of that are very interesting.
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: And yes, thanks always generous, double b. We love you,
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: love you, Brandon. I hope your brisket came out. Well,
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: what was it last weekend? Last weekend? Yeah, he is

- 1:07:47Speaker 4: he loves his meats, master.
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: Meat man himself, meet Daddy.
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: Yes, definitely, definitely Brandon. We have a lot of fun

- 1:08:17Speaker 4: You think the quadruple R rants are something check out
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: numbers only.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: Go check it out. Well, we don't put out publicly,
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: all right, thank you, Bran. Here we jumping over to
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: a letter again. This is from Harold Wiseberg to May
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: in nineteen seventy and they're talking about he said, ten
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: years and twenty five hundred miles separates us. We're two
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: years ago. I felt young, and we're out teams of
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: college as youngsters today. With my fifty seventh birthday next month,
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: I no longer feel young in body, that is, but
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: I still feel the angle or the age I don't
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: know what that word is, the angle on my shoulder, angel,
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: and still feel I will complete what have undertaken. I
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: also feel you still will be around then, probably still
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: feeling younger than I. This is this is how Harold
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: Wibird would fort there was a couple of years younger
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: than him back in the day. Right, and yeah, it's
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: a little cringe worthy.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: Respect the effort though.
- 1:09:37Speaker 5: H Yeah, again, you know they're they're talking about stuff.
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: I go back and forth a little bit, but that's
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: not really why I wanted to show you.
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: This they're talking about. No, you're right, A lot of
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: it is is kind of filler ish.
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: Yeah, he's talking about swimming three or four times a
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: day briefly when it's warm enough. Well, this place we
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: found a forty foot swimming pool. You know, I can
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: see Harold Wassburg out there, and it's fucking in speedos.
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: I don't think he was wearing speedos.
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: Bro Oh, you don't I think he was?
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: You think so? I think he was probably.
- 1:10:21Speaker 5: Come on in, maybe take no heed of my thrombosic
- 1:10:26Speaker 5: thighs here in my very close veins. Oh man, I
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: wish I was there were a chance of me being
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: in California sometime soon, but I cannot anticipate. My financial
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: condition is such that I cannot travel without expenses being
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: paid in advance.
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: Yeah, he got a little riz.
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: He does, and a little apparently.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: Yes, this is kind of like, uh yeah, a kind
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: of like player type of mentality.
- 1:11:06Speaker 5: Yeah. Now here's where it gets interesting, Joe. Okay, so
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: May starts off this letter by telling him I've been
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: busy making out a will. Now this is in nineteen seventy.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: Okay, she does not die until nineteen eighty eight.
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: Yeah, she said, I never bothered to feeling a very
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: young forty seven all my grandparents on both sides. Age
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: what what?
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: Age?
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: Forty seven?
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: Ok?
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: Yeah? Four seven?
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: Uh?
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: Sorry, great grandmother and great grandmother in the ninety four
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: and over brackets. But just to be on the safe side,
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: I'm taking the precautions of setting aside certain properties I
- 1:11:46Speaker 5: own to be divided and directed among our five children
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: and friends. A large room called the think tank by
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: my pals, must be identical to your research center, wherever
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: that's located. I now have at least eighty spiral notebooks,
- 1:12:02Speaker 5: probably ninety by now, assassination articles and clippings of the
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: November twenty second, sixty three. You know the thing, all
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: taped and filed in chronological order. Do you know how
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: anual you have to be to do that very with
- 1:12:16Speaker 5: clipped newspaper articles in ninety spiral notebooks? Okay, Holy Hannah.
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: She says.
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: There is long rows of books which includes just about
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: everything listed on the various bibliographies by Finsterwald and the
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: San Diego Committee. I also have one hundred and fifty
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: notebooks of research for the books I am writing. My
- 1:12:41Speaker 5: work has always been cross filed in three whole notebooks
- 1:12:43Speaker 5: with thousands of dividers. It is much easier to keep
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: them this way than in envelopes or other methods for
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: me and closed as a list of my personal cross
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: filing system. Each number represents a single notebook. This system,
- 1:12:58Speaker 5: as you see, is huge. That's what she said. Well,
- 1:13:02Speaker 5: what I want to do is to set up in
- 1:13:04Speaker 5: my will if anything happened to me accident, illness, death,
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: that you, sir at Harold Wiseberg would inherit my entire
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: Kennedy research. Okay, keep that in your mind. Yeah, okay, interesting,
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: she wanted Harold Wiseburg to have everything.
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: Okay, eighteen years before her death. Yeah.
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: As you can imagine, my two sons are not interested
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: in all this shit, one being parted vegetable. But to
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: go into depth as you and I have done, I
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: have one daughter who would like to who would like
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: to do the work, but feels not able to comprehend
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: the intricacies. She's only fifteen years old. Now what do
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: you think? I do think these things should be in
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: your possession if you're interested in having them one day,
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: if and when you get to the West Coast, and
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: if you're interested, I would like to show you the
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: book and explain exactly how I find the information listed.
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: Some of self explanatory. Other titles, once explained, will be
- 1:14:14Speaker 5: immediately clear. Or if you want, you could call me
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: someday and we could go over the listings to clarify
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: a few points. I see Penn Jones throws in a
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: few coincidences in his book. I keep a record of
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: every coincidences and file it in one section of a book.
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: There are enough to write a book on just that subject.
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: Here's how the filings work. Okay to Joe book one.
- 1:14:38Speaker 5: There's a background part right and this notebook are contained
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: every reference, testimony, document, conversation pertaining to all persons who
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: saw Oswald or Marina that are available in the Soviet
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: Union and Fort Worth, Dallas, New Orleans. It doesn't matter.
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: It has their nationality, occupations, and every mention of them
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: by themselves, others, exhibits, documents, etc. It was, after completing
- 1:14:59Speaker 5: my reas search how obvious it was that Lee and
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: Marina had never met new spend time with any person
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: who was not a professional engineer, medical student, doctor, oil engineer.
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: But you get the picture. But here, in one note book,
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: separated is the background of every witness called as well
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: as there's not called, like mister Miller, Missus Clark Elly, etcetera, etcetera.
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: This list should not be confusing to you. My filing
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: system began because of the way testimony and questions were reading.
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: People who never met Lee Harvey Oswald knew all about
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: his political philosophy. Where were they getting it? Momenttov Gavitas others.
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: They never saw him, spoke with him, but are quick
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: to smear him. Therefore, in another category, I entered every
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: conversation document on how many times Saul Oswald Book two
- 1:15:48Speaker 5: five and cross filed, and how met books two and three.
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: By breaking down all these categories to the absolute inth degree,
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: you get the espionage structure of the CIA operation. Bowie
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: under oath said he met Lee and Marina at a
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: party at Gregory's that he went with Missus Miller. Bowie
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: and FBI documents interviewed the week of the assassination said
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: he met Lee Harvey Oswell through his wife Marina. I
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: went to their apartment and knew Marina first, so you
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: can see she's how her brain works when it comes
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: to filing all this shit, right.
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: Right, right, that's George Bowie, right, the white Russian dude.
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:16:27Speaker 5: But you can see how she's got things cross filed
- 1:16:30Speaker 5: with you know, certain people that said said this. Certain
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: people have said that, certain people who are from here.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: It's crazy, dude, brod like she would make a great podcaster.
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: David Backs Bacus would be love her.
- 1:16:46Speaker 5: Who David Backs, you mean Joe Backs.
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: Joe Backs, Joe Backs, I'm sorry, damn. He would have
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: loved her collection, and we're going to get into some
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: of her collection.
- 1:17:01Speaker 5: She would have had the riff numbers.
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: She would have had the Riff number. That was my point.
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: But yeah, my point is that there's no way anybody
- 1:17:10Speaker 5: in sam Hill would have understood what's going on in
- 1:17:13Speaker 5: poor may Brussel's brain to figure out how she filed
- 1:17:17Speaker 5: all this shit right, Like she thinks she can explain
- 1:17:19Speaker 5: this to other people. Like the way her brain works,
- 1:17:22Speaker 5: I'm sure that it's much easier said than done.
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: Right. She tried to explain it to her fifteen year
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: old daughter.
- 1:17:33Speaker 5: Yeah, now, honey, someday you're going to heart the empire
- 1:17:35Speaker 5: and you have to start studying now, damn it.
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: Right, she can't comprehend it yet.
- 1:17:41Speaker 5: It's like soaker, like, man, give the girl a briand
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: Lord she may slave driver, all right, let's get into
- 1:17:52Speaker 5: a little bit about what happened. Well, let's not get
- 1:18:00Speaker 5: that yet. Hold on, hold the phone.
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: So.
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: We'll jump forward in time a little bit. Okay, A
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: May's been at this for you know, probably close to
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: twenty years at this point, and at a time hang on,
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: let me pull this up here. Let me back up
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: a little bit to the seventies. Okay, I'm sorry, I'm
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: all over the place. I feel like I'm running around
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: in may Brussel's head.
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: Only appropriate Jesus.
- 1:18:44Speaker 5: All right, I believe it was in nineteen eighty one,
- 1:18:55Speaker 5: and forgive me if I'm wrong here, folks, but poor
- 1:19:02Speaker 5: May had been the subject of another tragedy, no death threat.
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: And it's interesting this one because I don't know how
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: true it is. But in nineteen seventy hold on, let
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: me see what year before I say the wrong thing.
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: Seventy and nine, there was a book that came out
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: and spoiler alert, I'll get more into this in part two.
- 1:19:46Speaker 5: But it's a book called A Killer's Story by Dean
- 1:19:53Speaker 5: sell Meyer and Mark cram Okay. Now, on the back
- 1:19:57Speaker 5: of it, it has a picture of Dean sell Meyer
- 1:20:00Speaker 5: looking down the street in Manhattan with a midget eating
- 1:20:03Speaker 5: a sandwich on his shoulder. You can't make this shit.
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: Up, okay, oh man.
- 1:20:14Speaker 5: Now I'm just going to read you a quick synopsis
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: of said book.
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: Here.
- 1:20:21Speaker 5: Put it simply, this is the autobiography of a professional
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: killer who has decided to go public. It may be
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: the first of its kind ever written. Dean Sellmeyer is
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: not a pseudonym. He is a stage and screen actor. Basically,
- 1:20:36Speaker 5: he kills for a living. Sell Meyer got into very
- 1:20:40Speaker 5: yious trouble while serving in the Armed Forces. He was
- 1:20:42Speaker 5: offered the chance to get out of a long hitch
- 1:20:44Speaker 5: in prison if he was willing to take on a
- 1:20:47Speaker 5: lethal assignment as cover, he became an actor. He knew, though,
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: that his real assignment was to be very much offstage.
- 1:20:54Speaker 5: He did it and continued to do it. He has
- 1:20:56Speaker 5: no jackal, he's allows, he shot, and when he kills,
- 1:20:59Speaker 5: he kills close, and he's well paid. This is his strange,
- 1:21:03Speaker 5: unvarnished and true story. And when asked what he feels
- 1:21:06Speaker 5: at the critical moment as he's killing someone, Selmyer replies nothing.
- 1:21:13Speaker 5: The reader will feel otherwise. So we have here a
- 1:21:18Speaker 5: book written by a self proclaimed hit man actor. I'm
- 1:21:27Speaker 5: an actor, right so let me share my screen once more.
- 1:21:39Speaker 10: Yeah, okay, and again this is a blurb about his book.
- 1:21:50Speaker 5: Okay, and it tells a little bit more about it.
- 1:21:55Speaker 5: I mean, this guy was no Laurence Olivier or anything.
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:21:58Speaker 5: He was in a bunch of shitty movies and a
- 1:22:02Speaker 5: stuntman and more than he was an actor. Okay, but
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: it kind of gives a little bit of the background
- 1:22:11Speaker 5: of this guy, right. His first assignment, he says, is
- 1:22:16Speaker 5: to hit a former in word industrialist who allegedly designed
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: the gas van, which was used by executed war criminal
- 1:22:23Speaker 5: Adolph Eichman in World War two campaign. I designed the van,
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: I knew what it was for, but this was nineteen
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: forty two, and one did not protest, Stossy said. Selmar
- 1:22:37Speaker 5: gained Stossi's confidence by landing on his private island and
- 1:22:40Speaker 5: pretending to film a movie, using a bevy a bevy
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: of bikini beauties to lure his intended victim into trusting him.
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: The ruse works in sel Meyer as soon is on
- 1:22:54Speaker 5: Stossy's yacht and his giant bodyguard cat naps the Hoosier
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: kills him by giving him a whiff of poison gas
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: hidden in a movie director's viewfinder. Okay, what the hell?
- 1:23:08Speaker 5: It gets better though, After this hit, Selmar has a
- 1:23:12Speaker 5: little trouble doing in a Mister Pap last named Shmeir.
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: That's a joke, Joe over my head, between my legs,
- 1:23:25Speaker 5: a Hungarian fiscal conduit for Russian payments to pare Parisian
- 1:23:29Speaker 5: left his terrace like Danny the Red. Selmar quickly locates
- 1:23:33Speaker 5: mister Pap last name Shmeir and decides on a theatrical
- 1:23:37Speaker 5: approach to this job. What better cover than a pseudo
- 1:23:40Speaker 5: Halloween costume Joe dressed as the hunchback of Notre Dame,
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: where he hides a twenty two caliber of pistol in
- 1:23:47Speaker 5: the hunchback and slips into the crip that is used
- 1:23:51Speaker 5: as headquarters by mister Pap. The bullet exploded up into
- 1:23:55Speaker 5: his left eye and came out the back of his head,
- 1:23:57Speaker 5: sending fragments dancing in the air like flakes of dand
- 1:24:00Speaker 5: of Selmar writes, Okay, and now the next one. M
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: Garat tests Selmar's nerve in a rubber room. He is
- 1:24:12Speaker 5: assigned to assassinate a a rab courier with a swift
- 1:24:16Speaker 5: kick to the throat. Joe then it's a trip to
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: Africa with the Sabra and em get up where they
- 1:24:23Speaker 5: wipe out a terrorist training camp run by a team
- 1:24:26Speaker 5: of renegade Japanese people in Africa. What, okay, I don't know.
- 1:24:39Speaker 5: Gets better. Then there is the reflective sabbatical into the
- 1:24:43Speaker 5: hills of Spain, where, clad only in a jock strap
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: in boots, Selmar tries to get close to nature while
- 1:24:51Speaker 5: trying to steer down a wild board like Davy Crockett
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: stared down a bear. Why is he only wearing a
- 1:24:58Speaker 5: jock strap?
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: It sounds like he was on an LSD bro He's
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: trying to get closer to nature.
- 1:25:07Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's crazy, okay, it just it gets
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: even more horrible with these pigs, and it's just it's bad.
- 1:25:18Speaker 5: It's very, very.
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: Bad with these boards or pigs.
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: No, there was literally pigs hung upside down, dozens of
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: pink pigs, trussed up and squealing. One big man flicks
- 1:25:32Speaker 5: a long blade twice at each pig, and I ran
- 1:25:35Speaker 5: the knife into and across the jug. You see what
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: I'm saying here. Yeah, I don't know what all is
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: going on with this guy? How how many how many
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: marbles he had?
- 1:25:48Speaker 4: Loose.
- 1:25:49Speaker 5: Yeah, But the interesting thing is that there was a
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: little community theater called the Barnyard Theater. Now I mentioned
- 1:26:04Speaker 5: earlier that May was a playwright, and she used to
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: volunteer some of her time to local productions of plays,
- 1:26:11Speaker 5: you know, to help with set design, dressing, you know,
- 1:26:14Speaker 5: help with the actors and stuff like this, you know, whatever, whatever, Right.
- 1:26:17Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I believe up into the eighties.
- 1:26:19Speaker 5: Yeah, but this was up into the early ages. She
- 1:26:22Speaker 5: talked about this guy's book as a matter of fact
- 1:26:24Speaker 5: on her show after it came out, Right, so she
- 1:26:28Speaker 5: knew who this guy was well though, And behold, guess
- 1:26:34Speaker 5: who shows up to be an actor at the Barnyard
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: Theater in the early eighties. Oh my god, Dean Sellmyer. Okay,
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: So of course May takes it as a threat, right,
- 1:26:52Speaker 5: because there's there, she said, there's sometimes where there's some
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: late nights at the at the you know, at the playhouse,
- 1:26:58Speaker 5: and there's not a lot of people around, and this
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: kind of thing, right, she was.
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: By herself or sometimes by herself.
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: Yeah, she said, you know, this guy didn't like come
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: out and threaten her or do anything. But she was
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: very apprecient of the situation and and conscious enough to
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: walk away. She took it as a threat, like an
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: overt threat, like somebody had broken into her house and
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: left a puzzle piece beside her bed.
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: Mm hmm.
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: Around the same time, and she quit doing the show
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: and started doing the tape. Yeah, this is one of
- 1:27:34Speaker 5: the times that she she took a little break right craziness.
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: But again, is this just a coincidence, Joe, or is
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: there something to this? I don't know, But it doesn't
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: end there.
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: There's a lot of situations. I mean, listen, I could
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: see you kid in San Francisco doing acid. I could
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: see another kid, you know, dying in a car crash
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: full of other teenagers. Right. That's not like crazy to me,
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: but there seems to be a lot of these type
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: of situations happening around me.
- 1:28:21Speaker 5: Yeah, so check this out. So fast forward a little
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: bit in her life. Of course, she lived in Carmel
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: by the Sea, you know, very idyllic community right on
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: the coast of California, you know what I mean, beautiful place.
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: This would be like northern California. I don't know exactly
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: where Carmel by the Sea is, but I'm guessing it's
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: probably San Francisco. Or like between Santa Barbara or something
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: like that, between.
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: It's up there around there.
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, so.
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: At some point in her life, well let me just
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: start here. So going back to the sixties, there was
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: a family, if you will, that moved in down the street,
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: and this guy was like a retired military guy, so
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: he's home all the time, and the neighborhood joked that
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: he was like the sentinel of the neighborhood because this
- 1:29:39Speaker 5: dude is outside in his yard all the time, picking weeds,
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: planting flowers, mowing shit like you know, m washing the car,
- 1:29:49Speaker 5: always outside, always seeing what's going on, who's coming and
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: going type of thing. And of course, you know.
- 1:29:56Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but to be the devil glad to uh
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: where I grew up in uh kind of north of
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: the Bronx in Westchester, New York, there was this guy
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: who was named Dominic, and he was always outside on
- 1:30:13Speaker 4: his porch smoking SIGs and we would just throw you know,
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: dirt bombs like this little clumps of wood. He would
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: keep his driveway like super clean, and because we were
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: like ten or twelve years.
- 1:30:26Speaker 5: Old glasses with a bb gun, we would.
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: Just launch him on his thing and he would like
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: go nuts. So like it was kind of common. So
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: it was again coincidence or conspiracy type of question. But okay, continue,
- 1:30:46Speaker 4: sorry for that.
- 1:30:47Speaker 5: So at some point, at some point, I don't know
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: if it's while the dude was still living there, if
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: he had rented the house out to somebody else, but
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: May swore that she had seen like Tex Watson was
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: another member of the Manson family over there at this
- 1:31:09Speaker 5: house before the murders. Okay, which is a little weird,
- 1:31:15Speaker 5: but again, this is all happening in this area of
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: California where these these guys are drifting in between San
- 1:31:22Speaker 5: Francisco and La you know, and all of this stuff.
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: But troublemaker from the start.
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: Later on there would be a family that moved into
- 1:31:36Speaker 5: this house that by all appearances looked to be hippies.
- 1:31:42Speaker 5: Right there, tied I mom, dad, three kids with hippies.
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: Correct, and it did something after shortly after I'm not
- 1:31:52Speaker 4: gonna stay her.
- 1:31:52Speaker 5: With wonder, Yeah, please don't, I'm not.
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: I checked myself.
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: Okay. So from John Judge's article about May Brussel, the
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: spook across the street, Among the many strange circumstances surrounding
- 1:32:06Speaker 5: May Brussel's death was one of the most striking concerned
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: a house right across from her home on Via Cortalo,
- 1:32:13Speaker 5: a house constructed after she had moved in. While her
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: books and articles were packed each day to set up
- 1:32:18Speaker 5: to send up to the Center, cars and trucks drove
- 1:32:21Speaker 5: in and out of this neighbor's place. There was much pounding,
- 1:32:24Speaker 5: conversation and noise day and night. Additional building, perhaps dismantling,
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: was going on, and shortly before her illness, may mention
- 1:32:33Speaker 5: the house on one of her tapes, maybe World Watchers
- 1:32:36Speaker 5: International number eight thirty five, side too, where she says
- 1:32:40Speaker 5: and I quote and a woman came to me, she
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: called me she was indexing for Peter Dale Scott in
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: the Bay Area.
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: Oh, indexing for Peter Dell Scott.
- 1:32:54Speaker 6: What does that mean?
- 1:32:56Speaker 5: Probably filing shit for him, or you know, being like
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: his secretary or whatever.
- 1:33:01Speaker 4: Okay, okay, I see what you mean. And hesked too.
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: So I was once one, and I might be one.
- 1:33:09Speaker 4: I'm a changed man now.
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: You're a batman, yes, General Walker. And around nineteen seventy
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: five she came to me and asked me, in fact,
- 1:33:20Speaker 5: if she could help me do the work and index
- 1:33:22Speaker 5: my shit for me and be a researcher. Now pretty
- 1:33:26Speaker 5: cautious about people coming into my house, she said. She said,
- 1:33:29Speaker 5: she come down on a Sunday and meet me. I
- 1:33:31Speaker 5: met her in San Francisco. Her first name is Julie
- 1:33:34Speaker 5: and her last initials are Mick, Loving or something. She
- 1:33:39Speaker 5: came to my house instead of showing up alone. She
- 1:33:42Speaker 5: arrived with two men, and one of them had a camera,
- 1:33:44Speaker 5: and I said, what the hell is going on here?
- 1:33:47Speaker 5: And she said, well, this fellow he wants to stay
- 1:33:49Speaker 5: with you. He's interested in research, so he's keeping me company.
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: But the other one, she was going to drive down
- 1:33:55Speaker 5: to Point Lobos to do some skin diving off of
- 1:33:58Speaker 5: Point Lobos. And before where could turn around, she drove
- 1:34:01Speaker 5: away with this man and left me alone with this
- 1:34:03Speaker 5: other man in my living room. And I said, something
- 1:34:06Speaker 5: was drastically wrong. And they just turned around, got in
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: the car and drove away. And I left this character
- 1:34:10Speaker 5: sitting in the living room and I couldn't do anything
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: with him. I didn't want to leave the room. I
- 1:34:14Speaker 5: didn't want to leave the room, leave him in the room.
- 1:34:19Speaker 5: I just sat there and he sat there staring at me,
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: and I stared at him, and I was fuming about
- 1:34:24Speaker 5: what this chick had done. Luckily, she came back, left
- 1:34:30Speaker 5: one down at the beach and came back. I was screaming, Yellow,
- 1:34:33Speaker 5: what have you done? Why have you done this? And
- 1:34:35Speaker 5: I was furious, and she took him away and they
- 1:34:37Speaker 5: drove away. Anyway, fast forward a couple of years later,
- 1:34:40Speaker 5: two or three years later, she called and told me
- 1:34:41Speaker 5: that she felt very badly that she'd brought him there.
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: That he was the person who had done the killing
- 1:34:47Speaker 5: at Stanford campus of the pearl Off girl, and she
- 1:34:51Speaker 5: should never have brought him to my house. And then
- 1:34:53Speaker 5: in return for her doing that, she worked with people
- 1:34:58Speaker 5: like E. Howard Hunt, who was in this CIA formerly,
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: and mister William F. Buckley, they were co partners in
- 1:35:04Speaker 5: the CIA. And she felt so badly. She said, I
- 1:35:08Speaker 5: just have to tell you that there's going to be
- 1:35:09Speaker 5: a house built across the street from you. It's going
- 1:35:12Speaker 5: to be an a frame, and she described the architecture.
- 1:35:14Speaker 5: She said, I wouldn't tell you this, but since I
- 1:35:16Speaker 5: brought him into your house and jeopardized your life, I
- 1:35:19Speaker 5: will tell you this house is going to be here,
- 1:35:22Speaker 5: and she described it, and sure enough, about two or
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: three months later, a bulldozer came and there were two
- 1:35:26Speaker 5: houses across the street, and a driveway was cut in
- 1:35:29Speaker 5: between them, and a house went up there. And there's
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: more to this story. A person moved in. She'd moved
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: out from Texas. The purpose of that house was to
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: keep track or to tape record what was going on
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: in my house. And so when the house was built,
- 1:35:43Speaker 5: I went up there just to introduce myself, and on
- 1:35:44Speaker 5: the mantle in the living room was this huge, big
- 1:35:47Speaker 5: tape recorder, sort of like that TV movie or the
- 1:35:50Speaker 5: movie you've seen. There's one about the cassettes and tape recording.
- 1:35:53Speaker 5: Neighbors close by called the Anderson tapes. And I just
- 1:35:57Speaker 5: freaked out when I saw it, and I left my
- 1:35:58Speaker 5: name and said hello. The woman wasn't home, but her
- 1:36:01Speaker 5: parents were there. They're from Texas, and I had nothing
- 1:36:03Speaker 5: to do with her. And the rest of the story
- 1:36:06Speaker 5: someday i'll tell you about it. I'll leave it at
- 1:36:09Speaker 5: that point. But the reason I bring it up was
- 1:36:11Speaker 5: then a few years later, in eighty one, there was
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: a murder at Stanford again. Arles Perry was murdered, and
- 1:36:17Speaker 5: this was the same campus the first murder of the
- 1:36:19Speaker 5: pearlof Girl a few years earlier. In seventy three. Was
- 1:36:22Speaker 5: quite a few years later in nineteen eighty one, and
- 1:36:25Speaker 5: I got some calls that the same people were involved,
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: not to young people. There was a big age span
- 1:36:30Speaker 5: blah blah blah blah blah blah blahlah blah blah. Right,
- 1:36:34Speaker 5: and then there's all these articles come out like in
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: The Son of Sam, from the New York killings to
- 1:36:37Speaker 5: the Stanford murders, and of course it goes into all
- 1:36:44Speaker 5: this craziness. Now I have here, Joe, another thing here,
- 1:37:02Speaker 5: Where in the hell is it.
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: Here?
- 1:37:06Speaker 5: It is? This is crazy, all right? So basically, so
- 1:37:15Speaker 5: all this is crazy shit happens to Mate Russell. There's
- 1:37:19Speaker 5: a house built across the street. She thinks it's to
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: surveil her. She goes over there and finds giant all
- 1:37:26Speaker 5: this recording equipment in the living room, which is odd.
- 1:37:29Speaker 5: You know, So is this some kind of CIA safehouse
- 1:37:32Speaker 5: you know that was built in place directly to surveil her?
- 1:37:36Speaker 5: Of course in her mind it is, But what is
- 1:37:42Speaker 5: it really?
- 1:37:43Speaker 4: Yeah? I would see that as an extreme stretch.
- 1:37:51Speaker 5: Why would too? Except for one small detail.
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: Joe Okay didn't burden down.
- 1:38:01Speaker 5: Sunday morning fire guts house in Carmel Valley there and estimated, Yeah, Joe,
- 1:38:06Speaker 5: bust the fucking nut again.
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: Come on, it was a couple of seconds ago.
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: Jesuses and estimated two hundred thousand dollars. Damage was done
- 1:38:15Speaker 5: to a Carmel Valley house and a fire Sunday morning
- 1:38:17Speaker 5: that started in the garage. A Mid Carmel Valley firefighter
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: suffered a broken leg in a fall. The fire, reported
- 1:38:25Speaker 5: of seven thirty in the morning, gutted the house at
- 1:38:27Speaker 5: two five sixty one five via Cortalo. According to a
- 1:38:31Speaker 5: spokesman for the Mid Caramel Valley Fire Department, he said
- 1:38:34Speaker 5: that very little salvage. The identity of the occupants of
- 1:38:38Speaker 5: the house was withheld okay, which is.
- 1:38:41Speaker 4: Odd, which is a problem. Yes, it was.
- 1:38:44Speaker 5: Not immediately known whether the house was a rental or
- 1:38:46Speaker 5: owned or occupied, which is a problem. The occupants were
- 1:38:50Speaker 5: inside the house when the fire started, okay, But they
- 1:38:53Speaker 5: were all able to get out unharmed thankfully, which is
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: sus uh. The spokesman identified the injured fireman as Steve Crosswell,
- 1:39:03Speaker 5: who they have no problem mentioning. The cause of the
- 1:39:06Speaker 5: fires Under investigation, six fire trucks and thirty firefighters, including
- 1:39:09Speaker 5: help from the Karma Valley Fire Department were on the
- 1:39:11Speaker 5: scene a total of about three hours.
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: Right, it's a lot of firefighters.
- 1:39:18Speaker 5: Now. The reason why this is possibly a little sus
- 1:39:24Speaker 5: is it happens one day before May Brussell would shed
- 1:39:29Speaker 5: her moyal coil across the street and die.
- 1:39:36Speaker 4: You say, one day, one day, you're talking October eighty eight, yes, okay,
- 1:39:44Speaker 4: And I believe her last public broadcast was March of
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: eighty eight, but she did do some cassette sending outs
- 1:39:54Speaker 4: in the midtime between March and October.
- 1:39:56Speaker 5: Okay, she had a very again, a very sus past
- 1:40:01Speaker 5: acting cancer, if you will. They even tried surgery, they
- 1:40:06Speaker 5: tried chemo, wouldn't touch it.
- 1:40:10Speaker 4: And of course the irony of that is I believe
- 1:40:13Speaker 4: she wrote and talked about a lot of Jack Ruby's
- 1:40:17Speaker 4: suspicious fast acting acting cancer.
- 1:40:22Speaker 5: Yeah, and of course he wasn't the only one suspected
- 1:40:25Speaker 5: of having acted. Answer. Yeah, she would definitely point these
- 1:40:30Speaker 5: things out, you know, and then it happens to her
- 1:40:35Speaker 5: and contemporarily you can put it to people like Dave McGowan,
- 1:40:40Speaker 5: who wrote weird scenes in the Canyon, right, who got
- 1:40:44Speaker 5: this weird fast acting cancer. He's dead in six months. Right,
- 1:40:48Speaker 5: it's like and and nothing can stop it, Like it's
- 1:40:53Speaker 5: just now. Does this kind of thing happen on its own?
- 1:40:59Speaker 4: Maybe, Yeah, I think a certain circumstances.
- 1:41:03Speaker 5: I think, yeah, hope when it happens to conspiracy research,
- 1:41:07Speaker 5: paranoid schizophrenic conspiracy researchers.
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: And ones that have a platform.
- 1:41:16Speaker 5: Yeah, like Dave mcgallan had a very successful website and
- 1:41:19Speaker 5: probably still does called Dave's Web, And you know, he
- 1:41:27Speaker 5: was he was talking about all kinds of things like
- 1:41:28Speaker 5: what was going on in the canyon with Frank Zappo,
- 1:41:31Speaker 5: and you know, all these other acid tests that were
- 1:41:33Speaker 5: going and how a lot of these sixties and seventies
- 1:41:37Speaker 5: musicians' parents were had ties to the military and there
- 1:41:41Speaker 5: was possibly testing, you know, acid everywhere. It's all kinds
- 1:41:45Speaker 5: of crazy stuff going on.
- 1:41:46Speaker 11: James, Yeah, I tell you that we plan all this stuff.
- 1:41:57Speaker 4: Out ahead of time, but I would be lying, So
- 1:42:00Speaker 4: we just kind of go with it, go with it.
- 1:42:02Speaker 5: Life not sitting on his hands over there.
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: He must must have protect the Jack Ruby disease. Yes,
- 1:42:14Speaker 4: maybe the smoke from the fire helped her along. Sally says,
- 1:42:19Speaker 4: I don't know if the smoke from the across the
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: street would have that much.
- 1:42:26Speaker 5: About I mean, I mean, what's the applide here is
- 1:42:30Speaker 5: the fact that Okay May is dying and almost dead.
- 1:42:33Speaker 5: Their work there is done. It's time to cut this
- 1:42:36Speaker 5: fucking house, burn it to the ground. And all the
- 1:42:38Speaker 5: evidence goes with it that they've been surveilling this woman
- 1:42:40Speaker 5: for however many years, right, mm hmm, right, And she
- 1:42:49Speaker 5: talks about what her diagnosis was, uterine cancer, okay, which
- 1:42:59Speaker 5: is the cancer of the uterine. But it's a viral
- 1:43:03Speaker 5: form of the disease, so that means it spreads quickly,
- 1:43:07Speaker 5: and supposedly there was over twenty witnesses and characters in
- 1:43:12Speaker 5: the jfk assassination case that died from cancer in periods
- 1:43:16Speaker 5: of under six weeks. Mays on cologist at Stanford where
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: she was her doctor was, which is no slouch, said
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: that maze cancer was spreading faster than he had ever
- 1:43:29Speaker 5: seen before in an older person.
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:43:34Speaker 5: She was diagnosed in June eighty eight. An operation was
- 1:43:39Speaker 5: performed to remove the tumor from her uterus in June.
- 1:43:45Speaker 5: She was admitted to a convalescent home in September and
- 1:43:49Speaker 5: died in less than a month. So it's interesting. It
- 1:43:59Speaker 5: is and the reason she stopped doing her show in
- 1:44:02Speaker 5: March of eighty eight was not because she had cancer
- 1:44:05Speaker 5: or it was feeling bad. It was because she had
- 1:44:07Speaker 5: received another.
- 1:44:08Speaker 4: Death threat right right right where.
- 1:44:11Speaker 5: They threatened to literally blow her in her family's heads
- 1:44:14Speaker 5: off if she didn't shut the fuck up, right, And
- 1:44:18Speaker 5: this was what she was thinking, because this is like
- 1:44:20Speaker 5: again in the eighty eight, this is when all this
- 1:44:22Speaker 5: stuff was going down at the McMartin preschool and uh,
- 1:44:27Speaker 5: what's that guy's name?
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that was the military guy.
- 1:44:33Speaker 5: Yeah, and Satanic panic, but he was a Satanist. He
- 1:44:36Speaker 5: had part of the Temple of Set He had left
- 1:44:38Speaker 5: Anton LaVey's church. It was the Pasido, yeah, the presidio.
- 1:44:45Speaker 5: It was a It was a preschool and a military
- 1:44:47Speaker 5: base run by a Satanic general named Michael Aquino.
- 1:44:52Speaker 4: Sounds like a combination.
- 1:44:54Speaker 5: Where there was a bunch of bad shit going on
- 1:44:56Speaker 5: here apparently. You know, we're talking like crazy rooms and
- 1:45:00Speaker 5: tunnels underneath the place, and you know, kids being unspeakable
- 1:45:05Speaker 5: things done to them.
- 1:45:06Speaker 4: Right, And a lot of people think that that was
- 1:45:09Speaker 4: actually the reason why she was eventually killed, because you
- 1:45:12Speaker 4: have to think nineteen eighty eight.
- 1:45:14Speaker 5: You're talking timing is everything.
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: Almost ten years after the HCA, the JFK film had
- 1:45:21Speaker 4: not come out yet. Why even bother at this point,
- 1:45:27Speaker 4: But some people speculate that that was maybe part of
- 1:45:34Speaker 4: the culprit.
- 1:45:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean some people, some people.
- 1:45:41Speaker 4: So not necessarily us.
- 1:45:45Speaker 5: You know, she had led a crazy life. She had
- 1:45:47Speaker 5: some very unfortunate things happened to her in her life,
- 1:45:52Speaker 5: to her family, and when you view some of it
- 1:45:57Speaker 5: through a conspiracy lens, of course, it appears very suspect, right, right,
- 1:46:04Speaker 5: And how accurate is it? I don't know, is there
- 1:46:08Speaker 5: something to it? I don't know. I mean, she was
- 1:46:11Speaker 5: calling out a lot of people. Man back in the day,
- 1:46:15Speaker 5: nobody ever suit her right, but they certainly some people
- 1:46:21Speaker 5: allegedly had no problems threatening her right, and she took
- 1:46:26Speaker 5: the threat seriously at times.
- 1:46:29Speaker 4: Yeah, And I don't really blame her after hearing the
- 1:46:33Speaker 4: line and the multitudes of threats or implied threats or
- 1:46:39Speaker 4: accidents or whatever you want to call them that happened
- 1:46:43Speaker 4: to her, you know, I don't really.
- 1:46:47Speaker 5: Faulter from that, No, And and knowing the kinds of
- 1:46:51Speaker 5: things that she knew and looking into the kinds of
- 1:46:52Speaker 5: things she looked into, of course, her hackles were up
- 1:46:55Speaker 5: all the time, and she would sense takes threats seriously
- 1:47:02Speaker 5: when we'd be she was doing something that nobody else
- 1:47:06Speaker 5: was doing back then, which is calling these fucking people
- 1:47:08Speaker 5: out in public on the air. You know, she had
- 1:47:14Speaker 5: an incredible set of balls. And if she didn't have
- 1:47:18Speaker 5: uterine cancer, she had testicular cancer because she had a
- 1:47:22Speaker 5: giant set on her. And I commend her for being
- 1:47:27Speaker 5: one of the first generation pioneers of this podcasting, broadcasting
- 1:47:32Speaker 5: truth conspiracy research and just getting it out there. Was
- 1:47:36Speaker 5: she right about everything? No nobody ever is? But was
- 1:47:41Speaker 5: she write more than often than she was wrong? With
- 1:47:44Speaker 5: the benefit in hindsight is twenty twenty table thing we
- 1:47:47Speaker 5: can say now, Yes, okay, Yeah, A lot of stuff
- 1:47:51Speaker 5: she said turned out to be true.
- 1:47:53Speaker 4: Yeah, And I also think, Rob you have to consider
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: like the climate and and granted I just said the
- 1:48:02Speaker 4: late eighties might have not been the height of JFK interest,
- 1:48:08Speaker 4: but she's calling out a lot of other shit if
- 1:48:13Speaker 4: you contrast it to today, right, we are one of
- 1:48:16Speaker 4: what a million JFK podcasts, A bunch of scaffooses, bunch
- 1:48:21Speaker 4: of scaffoss talking about nonsense right to the point where like,
- 1:48:32Speaker 4: I don't think any of the powers that be would
- 1:48:34Speaker 4: care at this point, which is why I don't care.
- 1:48:36Speaker 4: It's kind of what I'm harping back to. But at
- 1:48:40Speaker 4: that point she was really one of the few.
- 1:48:45Speaker 5: And doing it that way. People were writing books right.
- 1:48:49Speaker 4: Right of course, right, yeah, yeah, I.
- 1:48:52Speaker 5: Mean there are articles Garrison was doing his thing. Yes,
- 1:48:56Speaker 5: it's going on the.
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: Air wiseburg Lane yet, yeah, you can go on. Yeah.
- 1:49:03Speaker 5: Yeah, she's doing it very public, very live, very up
- 1:49:08Speaker 5: to the second reporting type of thing. She's not talking
- 1:49:13Speaker 5: or writing about things that happened twenty years ago. She's,
- 1:49:16Speaker 5: you know, very much in the now, in the know
- 1:49:19Speaker 5: type of thing, and she's trying to keep up with everything.
- 1:49:23Speaker 5: And what she managed to do was to me amazing.
- 1:49:27Speaker 4: Yeah. No, very innovative, very ahead of her time, and
- 1:49:33Speaker 4: I think her gut instincts were for the most part.
- 1:49:38Speaker 4: I mean you could exclude some of like the more
- 1:49:42Speaker 4: out there stuff. I think it was like pretty on point,
- 1:49:46Speaker 4: and I think kind of history has proved that wrong. Yeah.
- 1:49:51Speaker 4: So Rob, I'm going to get into the files here
- 1:49:56Speaker 4: or what allegedly happened to them, and it is still ongoing.
- 1:50:01Speaker 4: I did send you a messenger video to just send
- 1:50:06Speaker 4: you something in relation to honest Joe's check your messages. Yes, yeah,
- 1:50:16Speaker 4: she did send it to you. The video, Yeah, okay,
- 1:50:22Speaker 4: I thought that was pretty cool.
- 1:50:24Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely cool.
- 1:50:26Speaker 4: I don't know if you want to play it or
- 1:50:27Speaker 4: not the end, but uh, I just wanted to because
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: there is some controversy as to what happened to her.
- 1:50:37Speaker 5: Extensive Reachers files has a lot of controversy.
- 1:50:41Speaker 4: Yes, you're talking about almost forty drawers of filing cabinets
- 1:50:46Speaker 4: and clippings, and I think there are four.
- 1:50:50Speaker 5: Four drawers tall, yeah, four drawers to thirty nine file
- 1:50:54Speaker 5: cabinets four drawers tall.
- 1:50:57Speaker 4: But a lot, yes, yes, there's a lot. And of
- 1:51:00Speaker 4: course we always hear about things of people when they die.
- 1:51:05Speaker 5: And everybody wanted them.
- 1:51:07Speaker 4: Files being stolen or whatever. I mean, you can go
- 1:51:11Speaker 4: to like win Scott or you know, there's a bunch
- 1:51:15Speaker 4: of examples, right, and that's just one example. But I'm
- 1:51:20Speaker 4: just going to read this summary, which admittedly I did
- 1:51:24Speaker 4: get from AI May Brussels. Extensive research files roughly thirty
- 1:51:31Speaker 4: five to forty four draw filing caplints of clippings, notes, documents,
- 1:51:35Speaker 4: cross references, plus thousands of books, largely disappeared from public
- 1:51:40Speaker 4: access after her death in nineteen eighty eight due to
- 1:51:44Speaker 4: failed plans for a research center, interpersonal conflicts among associates,
- 1:51:51Speaker 4: Brussels sprouts and quotations, and decades in private storage. They
- 1:51:57Speaker 4: later returned to family control and digitization preservation efforts are ongoing.
- 1:52:06Speaker 4: So you could imagine a scenario where I mean imagine
- 1:52:12Speaker 4: forty filing cabinets for drawings high. That's a lot of room.
- 1:52:19Speaker 4: So say someone puts them into storage. Storage costs x
- 1:52:26Speaker 4: amount every month. You could imagine a situation where at
- 1:52:30Speaker 4: some point after a couple decades, either someone lapses on
- 1:52:37Speaker 4: some payment or blah blah blah, and they're either thrown
- 1:52:44Speaker 4: out or something happens to them. Doesn't have to be nefarious, really,
- 1:52:50Speaker 4: but who knows.
- 1:52:53Speaker 5: There's a lot of different people who felt like her
- 1:52:58Speaker 5: files should go to them, like Dave Emery, like Michael Croston,
- 1:53:04Speaker 5: who was who was a writer for uh Rolling Stone
- 1:53:09Speaker 5: and one of one of a maze you know proteges.
- 1:53:13Speaker 5: Apparently John Judge again back in the in the early seventies,
- 1:53:21Speaker 5: she wanted them to go to Wisburg. Now, of course,
- 1:53:23Speaker 5: feelings may change over the years, but right that's what
- 1:53:27Speaker 5: she said she was putting in her will.
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: Right nineteen seventy, I believe, and.
- 1:53:33Speaker 5: I doubt Wiseburg wanted all this ship. He had his
- 1:53:37Speaker 5: own foul cabinet right maze in his in his basement.
- 1:53:42Speaker 5: It wasn't like he had room for this ship anyway,
- 1:53:44Speaker 5: you know what I mean, Like he probably wouldn't have
- 1:53:46Speaker 5: taken it even if she left it to him.
- 1:53:49Speaker 4: Right, And how are you even in a transfer that
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: from California to wherever the fuck Wiseburg was.
- 1:53:55Speaker 5: It's called a truck. Well, you load the ship up
- 1:53:58Speaker 5: on the truck and you drive it across.
- 1:54:00Speaker 4: You were talking, you were talking about how Weisberg was
- 1:54:03Speaker 4: penny pinching on fucking stamps, Like what's he going to
- 1:54:07Speaker 4: fucking rent a truck and a semi trailer?
- 1:54:10Speaker 5: And I don't know.
- 1:54:14Speaker 4: No, Yeah, I'm just I'm just being Devil's advocate. The
- 1:54:18Speaker 4: materials were removed and temporarily guarded, but plans collapsed amidst rivalries,
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: including between John Judge and your boy Dave Emery, funding
- 1:54:33Speaker 4: short falls and disputes attempts to donate or place them
- 1:54:38Speaker 4: at Stanford or Baylor University's Legislative Library, which holds other
- 1:54:44Speaker 4: JFK researchers papers fell through by the early nineteen nineties,
- 1:54:49Speaker 4: there was a public controversy result reported in the Santa
- 1:54:53Speaker 4: Cruz Sentinel. The files went to storage and effectively vanished
- 1:54:59Speaker 4: from view for researchers and even parts of the family
- 1:55:04Speaker 4: for decades. Some accounts note partial losses or specific removals
- 1:55:11Speaker 4: or files and digitization estimates in nineteen eighty nine ran
- 1:55:17Speaker 4: to about one hundred and fifty thousand dollars that never materialized,
- 1:55:23Speaker 4: and this is I guess they're trying to put some
- 1:55:27Speaker 4: of them up on the voices of Montereybay dot org.
- 1:55:32Speaker 4: By around thirteen twenty thirteen, efforts resurfaced to move them
- 1:55:37Speaker 4: to Baylor, with fundraising for transport and storage like what
- 1:55:42Speaker 4: you talked about, but that also did not fully succeed.
- 1:55:45Speaker 4: In twenty eighteen, reporting daughter Barbara Brussel and others still
- 1:55:51Speaker 4: did not know their precise location. That's also a problem.
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: Around twenty twenty one, a quote May Brussel product Jack
- 1:56:00Speaker 4: campaign involving family members and supporters and supporters publicly sought
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: help for secure relocation, warehouse space near San Jose, Monterrey,
- 1:56:12Speaker 4: and digitization, noting the materials were under threat in insecure
- 1:56:18Speaker 4: long term storage and that family care takers were aging.
- 1:56:24Speaker 4: It's based on radio survivor dot com whatever that is,
- 1:56:28Speaker 4: so you can see. I think it's more of like
- 1:56:31Speaker 4: a financial issue.
- 1:56:34Speaker 9: You know, storage is cheap, no, And we're learning from
- 1:56:39Speaker 9: here on the show by taking a look at John
- 1:56:42Speaker 9: Judges Hidden History Center in New York, Pennsylvania, which is
- 1:56:48Speaker 9: in a dead strip.
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: Mall right, right, I remember.
- 1:56:52Speaker 5: Nobody goes to right, you know, how do you fund
- 1:57:01Speaker 5: and sustain a research center right where ideally people would
- 1:57:08Speaker 5: go to for free to be able to access all
- 1:57:12Speaker 5: these records and files and do research.
- 1:57:14Speaker 4: Right, But there's rent, there's electricity, it is, yes, exactly,
- 1:57:21Speaker 4: and like people think.
- 1:57:23Speaker 5: It's like the doors every day, yeah.
- 1:57:26Speaker 4: And it's hard to kind of keep up. And if
- 1:57:29Speaker 4: the family didn't have the money, you can see how
- 1:57:33Speaker 4: it was kind of moved around and whatnot. More recent
- 1:57:37Speaker 4: activity from twenty twenty to onward indicates the physical archives
- 1:57:43Speaker 4: were returned to the family control after thirty years. The
- 1:57:47Speaker 4: may Brussel Research Library SLASH project is now focused on
- 1:57:52Speaker 4: preservation and making materials publicly available online. I hope they
- 1:57:58Speaker 4: are quicker than NARA with radio broadcasts hundreds of episodes. Again,
- 1:58:03Speaker 4: there's Google or on YouTube you can find a bunch
- 1:58:07Speaker 4: of them. Source sheets and related items already widely digitized
- 1:58:13Speaker 4: and hosted on sites such as worldwatchers dot info, Internet Archives,
- 1:58:19Speaker 4: Rumble YouTube channels and May Brussels Searchlibrary dot com. Podcasts
- 1:58:25Speaker 4: and interviews with Project archivists continue to promote the effort
- 1:58:32Speaker 4: with and solicit support for full digitization of the paper files.
- 1:58:39Speaker 5: In short, because it wasn't just thirty nine file cabinets, right,
- 1:58:43Speaker 5: she had over six thousand books, manuscripts, magazines, publications, all
- 1:58:48Speaker 5: of her collective recordings from over twenty years of being
- 1:58:53Speaker 5: on the air. She had every minute of the Iran
- 1:58:57Speaker 5: Country hearing is on videotape.
- 1:59:01Speaker 4: There's a lot of shit, man, Yeah, yeah, Watergate two,
- 1:59:05Speaker 4: of course there's a lot. So it's gonna take a
- 1:59:11Speaker 4: lot of money. If they said it would cost one
- 1:59:13Speaker 4: hundred and fifty grand in what eighty nine? In short, it.
- 1:59:17Speaker 5: Got a place in Santa Barbara. It was a pretty
- 1:59:19Speaker 5: snaky looking building, right, but it didn't last long.
- 1:59:25Speaker 4: Well, well, you think with her going to Stanford, there
- 1:59:29Speaker 4: could be like like the Baylor Archives, like the Stanford
- 1:59:35Speaker 4: Archives for me, right.
- 1:59:37Speaker 5: But if you like shit, bro, I know, I know,
- 1:59:41Speaker 5: and like.
- 1:59:41Speaker 4: Who you're going to get some college kids to scan
- 1:59:44Speaker 4: it in with the scanner I have over here, which
- 1:59:47Speaker 4: all my thumbs intact, you know what I mean. Like,
- 1:59:51Speaker 4: it's a process, and it takes time, and it takes money,
- 1:59:55Speaker 4: and it takes space, either virtually or in person like both, yeah, both.
- 2:00:08Speaker 4: In short, the files survived but werexible inaccessible for decades
- 2:00:14Speaker 4: due to organizational failures and disputes. There now back with
- 2:00:18Speaker 4: the family Slash project and being worked on for broader
- 2:00:23Speaker 4: public access. I'm not gonna hold my breath, but allegedly
- 2:00:29Speaker 4: that is what happened to the files. I don't know
- 2:00:37Speaker 4: exactly what they're going to show. I mean, obviously there
- 2:00:39Speaker 4: wasn't like newspaper dot com where you can like go
- 2:00:43Speaker 4: and look up articles and shit back then. So she
- 2:00:48Speaker 4: saved a lot of them. A lot of them might
- 2:00:50Speaker 4: be filler, maybe irrelevant, but could there be some good
- 2:00:58Speaker 4: tidbits in there? You never know unless they're digitized. So
- 2:01:03Speaker 4: if anyone else has one hundred and fifty grand out there,
- 2:01:08Speaker 4: I'm sure you can get your name on the building.
- 2:01:13Speaker 5: Well check this out, Joe. Okay, So John Judge wrote
- 2:01:22Speaker 5: this for the May Brussel Research Center and a Cruz
- 2:01:27Speaker 5: My friend and fellow researcher for the last twenty years.
- 2:01:30Speaker 5: May Brussel died of cancer on October third, nineteen eighty eight.
- 2:01:33Speaker 5: Before she died, she asked that a research center be
- 2:01:35Speaker 5: set up in her name in Santa Cruz. I was
- 2:01:38Speaker 5: happy to be part of that product project, and her
- 2:01:40Speaker 5: materials have been transported and secure there. We're in the
- 2:01:43Speaker 5: process of setting up a library using current computer technology
- 2:01:47Speaker 5: to make the incredible collection of her investigative work available
- 2:01:49Speaker 5: to people across the country. Years ago, in Philadelphia, I
- 2:01:54Speaker 5: began a small group of world watchers who listened to
- 2:01:56Speaker 5: May's tape broadcasts each week, shared book articles, and called
- 2:02:00Speaker 5: themselves Brussel Sprouts. He liked the name and it stuck.
- 2:02:05Speaker 5: This research and work had been my life for twenty
- 2:02:07Speaker 5: last twenty years, and the opportunity to help me continue
- 2:02:11Speaker 5: our investigation and preserve her invaluable library is an exciting task.
- 2:02:15Speaker 5: The catalog and compilation of these books, tapes, and documents
- 2:02:17Speaker 5: will give Sprouts and other real researchers a way to
- 2:02:20Speaker 5: continue May's life work of exposing murders, corruption and conspiracy.
- 2:02:25Speaker 5: Blah blah blah. We have several unpublished manuscripts available, including
- 2:02:28Speaker 5: new ones by Fletcher Proudy, David Miller, Henry Krueger. In addition,
- 2:02:33Speaker 5: we helped to publish a compilation of clippings on George
- 2:02:35Speaker 5: Bush and transcriptions on the Conference of the fourth Reich
- 2:02:37Speaker 5: in America held in San Francisco, compile all of May's articles,
- 2:02:43Speaker 5: key interviews and other writings, and a collected work from
- 2:02:46Speaker 5: made Brussel. In addition, we are transcribing all of our
- 2:02:49Speaker 5: shows and seeking out tapes of all other public broadcasts
- 2:02:52Speaker 5: and lectures. She did. Imagine opening a drawer of May's
- 2:02:56Speaker 5: files and about the criminal activities of George Bush. Are
- 2:02:59Speaker 5: searching for everything may sit on a particular topic using
- 2:03:01Speaker 5: a computer, or just imagine giving a friend you've been
- 2:03:05Speaker 5: trying to convince a copy of the collected works of
- 2:03:07Speaker 5: May Brussel.
- 2:03:07Speaker 12: In the discussion they would follow blah blah blah blah blah.
- 2:03:11Speaker 12: So he goes on right, all this stuff, and of
- 2:03:15Speaker 12: course this is a a plea for help, right It
- 2:03:21Speaker 12: most normally always goes back to the money, of course,
- 2:03:26Speaker 12: So please take a moment to send your support In
- 2:03:28Speaker 12: the enclosed envelope work has already begun on a fundraising
- 2:03:31Speaker 12: tour from LA to San Francisco, reaching out to the
- 2:03:33Speaker 12: bass radio audiences.
- 2:03:35Speaker 5: They're still hearing May's tapes. Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 2:03:42Speaker 5: Thank you, John Judge for the May Borns a research center,
- 2:03:46Speaker 5: so membership and support it has different tiers. Here, you
- 2:03:51Speaker 5: can be a correspondent for twenty five dollars and you'll
- 2:03:54Speaker 5: receive a regular newsletter. A member will get a newsletter
- 2:03:58Speaker 5: and a copy of the forthcoming book and any updates
- 2:04:00Speaker 5: on the research center. For one hundred books. Two hundred
- 2:04:03Speaker 5: books will get all the above plus allow the library
- 2:04:06Speaker 5: to purchase a bookshelf, just one bookshelf for two hundred dollars.
- 2:04:11Speaker 5: Supporter are accorded all rights and privileges of full members,
- 2:04:15Speaker 5: as well as free search and reprint services up to
- 2:04:17Speaker 5: three hundred pages, open access to the reading room, consultation
- 2:04:21Speaker 5: and assistance from the archivist, and a subscription to current
- 2:04:24Speaker 5: clippings and articles. For five hundred books where a thousand
- 2:04:28Speaker 5: sustainers are full members and we're to see five hundred
- 2:04:31Speaker 5: free pages of search and reprint materials, periodical direct access
- 2:04:35Speaker 5: to the collection, consultation from the archivists and a subscription
- 2:04:38Speaker 5: to current clippings on two topic areas and all publications
- 2:04:42Speaker 5: of the Research Center in nineteen eighty nine. So again,
- 2:04:45Speaker 5: this is happening right after she died.
- 2:04:47Speaker 4: Dude, right, you're after yeah, yeah, maybe less than because
- 2:04:53Speaker 4: it was late on eighty eight video. Wow, and listen,
- 2:04:59Speaker 4: that's that's a lot of money back then. Yeah, And
- 2:05:04Speaker 4: this is before. This is after the HCA died down.
- 2:05:08Speaker 4: This is before the JFK movie. So there's not much momentum,
- 2:05:14Speaker 4: I don't think at this time.
- 2:05:16Speaker 5: If I were to guess, no, it never got off
- 2:05:19Speaker 5: the ground, right, And I can imagine, you know, these
- 2:05:27Speaker 5: poor files that got moved around humid, hot human storage units.
- 2:05:36Speaker 4: You know, Skafuza's transporting.
- 2:05:40Speaker 5: You know, mice, fucking cockroaches, mold, right, you know.
- 2:05:48Speaker 4: Especially with old newspapers.
- 2:05:50Speaker 5: Right, yeah, I mean you can you can't imagine these
- 2:05:53Speaker 5: things were meant to be putting into stories like this
- 2:05:58Speaker 5: for twenty thirty years the time and last even further
- 2:06:02Speaker 5: in horrible conditions like this. And you know, I don't
- 2:06:06Speaker 5: know if they ever did find a home. What else
- 2:06:09Speaker 5: with you?
- 2:06:10Speaker 4: No, So the article I was reading regarding the articles
- 2:06:16Speaker 4: was of March. I believe it was twenty six, twenty
- 2:06:21Speaker 4: twenty six, so it seems to be an ongoing effort.
- 2:06:25Speaker 4: I don't know how much confidence I have in it.
- 2:06:29Speaker 5: Well, if John Judges is hidden History Centers, any any
- 2:06:32Speaker 5: indication of it not on. So if you're anywhere near York, Pennsylvania.
- 2:06:44Speaker 4: Buy some metaglasses and or take a video and go
- 2:06:48Speaker 4: in there, we will definitely play that.
- 2:06:52Speaker 5: I can tell you her research is not there.
- 2:06:56Speaker 4: Well, yes, yes, no, it's probably still in California. Hey,
- 2:07:01Speaker 4: it wouldn't fit, right, That's that's what she said. Yeah,
- 2:07:14Speaker 4: but I mean, listen, you don't know the financial situations
- 2:07:21Speaker 4: of her kids, right one died or just four more.
- 2:07:25Speaker 4: I don't know how much are alive or are still alive.
- 2:07:31Speaker 4: You know, it's it's hard to to keep track of
- 2:07:35Speaker 4: this ship.
- 2:07:36Speaker 5: Bro, it is I mean, you know, think of all
- 2:07:40Speaker 5: the the good stuff that's been lost throughout the years.
- 2:07:44Speaker 5: Deserve correctly, people get greedy, right, the wrong people do
- 2:07:51Speaker 5: things for the wrong reasons, right, you know, it's unfortunate
- 2:07:57Speaker 5: that that stuff happens, and it is what it is.
- 2:08:01Speaker 4: Though, right, But she was definitely an innovator. I think
- 2:08:07Speaker 4: a woman ahead of her time, especially when when you
- 2:08:10Speaker 4: consider what she had access to document wise, you know
- 2:08:17Speaker 4: what I mean, Like, I think we got to give
- 2:08:19Speaker 4: her her prompts for sure.
- 2:08:25Speaker 5: You know, people say, well, because you know, she was
- 2:08:29Speaker 5: a big purveyor of the inward conspiracy, right right, because
- 2:08:36Speaker 5: of her background, right right. Mm hmmm, So she may
- 2:08:42Speaker 5: have been a little biased and maybe a little convoluted
- 2:08:45Speaker 5: in her thinking when it comes to this. But and
- 2:08:48Speaker 5: that wasn't the only thing that she was into. She
- 2:08:50Speaker 5: you know, she talks about all the political assassinations. She's
- 2:08:54Speaker 5: even talked about the moon landing being faked, jonestown, you
- 2:08:59Speaker 5: name it.
- 2:08:59Speaker 4: You know, we did not land on the movement in
- 2:09:02Speaker 4: nineteen sixty nine. Spoiler. We usually say that for save
- 2:09:07Speaker 4: that for remembers only.
- 2:09:08Speaker 5: But yeah, there was even something with the John Lennon
- 2:09:18Speaker 5: was secretly funding something.
- 2:09:20Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I read about this.
- 2:09:22Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:09:24Speaker 4: I think there's like some Hinkley stuff with Reagan as well. Yeah,
- 2:09:29Speaker 4: she was on top of a lot of it.
- 2:09:32Speaker 5: Yeah, I ran contra Oliver North, you know, going up
- 2:09:35Speaker 5: and all that stuff down. But did it end up
- 2:09:39Speaker 5: costing her life in the end, or was it just
- 2:09:42Speaker 5: a series of limited snickets unfortunate events? In her life
- 2:09:46Speaker 5: that culminated to a conspiracy overture that could be attributed
- 2:09:53Speaker 5: to it. I don't know, but she'll always be remembered
- 2:09:57Speaker 5: as one of the great pioneer innovaders, leading female first
- 2:10:02Speaker 5: gen researchers into this thing. Ever, for sure, researchers period
- 2:10:08Speaker 5: set of nuts on her, like crazy, you know, and
- 2:10:10Speaker 5: you got to respect.
- 2:10:11Speaker 4: That, yeah, and respect that that. She wasn't after money either, right,
- 2:10:17Speaker 4: she didn't write a book. I mean maybe she made
- 2:10:20Speaker 4: something from the radio.
- 2:10:22Speaker 5: She had money when she came from money. She was
- 2:10:24Speaker 5: born right in her mouth.
- 2:10:28Speaker 4: Right, but it wasn't her main goal.
- 2:10:30Speaker 5: No, No, Well, because she had money, right, she was
- 2:10:35Speaker 5: a board house wife, right right, that's what the articles
- 2:10:40Speaker 5: better to do than raise her kids and research conspiracies.
- 2:10:43Speaker 5: I can respect that. Hang it out and let's let's
- 2:10:47Speaker 5: talk some uh, let's talk some crazy conspiracies afterwards, right cigarette,
- 2:10:56Speaker 5: you know, laying there, she's like, you know, I really.
- 2:11:03Speaker 4: May she definitely rips sick.
- 2:11:05Speaker 5: Huh oh, yeah, guaranteed, I respect it. You know, Billy's
- 2:11:12Speaker 5: laying over there after post coitus and she just starts
- 2:11:15Speaker 5: in you know, I bet, and he's like, really may,
- 2:11:19Speaker 5: Right now, we just we just made love, we just
- 2:11:21Speaker 5: made sweet love, and you want to talk about these
- 2:11:23Speaker 5: goddamn conspiracies again.
- 2:11:25Speaker 4: Well, well there's there's nothing better than the after sex cigarette.
- 2:11:31Speaker 4: I think we could all agree on.
- 2:11:33Speaker 5: That, the post podcast cigarette. Sorry, all right, dog, let's
- 2:11:44Speaker 5: get the hell.
- 2:11:45Speaker 4: I got her? All right, Guys, we love you.
- 2:11:50Speaker 5: Yes, thank you for hanging out with us and talking
- 2:11:52Speaker 5: a little may brother night. I hope you learned something.

- 2:12:25Speaker 5: Yes, go hype some of our videos if you will.
- 2:12:28Speaker 5: We've got book reviews, We've got random research ramblings from Rob.
- 2:12:32Speaker 5: We've got quick hits where I did an epic impression
- 2:12:37Speaker 5: of Ralph Sundon, Joan Mellon's husband that you will early enjoy.
