- 0:04Speaker 1: let's go from a championship backfield to your morning drive.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Ham'sday.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Hester and Hester got it.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Biata Pa, You're locked in to Off the Bench descrip
- 0:14Speaker 1: control the Live from the Raising Kine Studio. Here's Jacob
- 0:22Speaker 1: Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:48Speaker 4: You wowed yesterday.
- 0:59Speaker 2: We kind of gave a fake one on purpose, like
- 1:02Speaker 2: a dying one. Guys, Base, Oh, we're sad, really sad.
- 1:08Speaker 2: It's okay. Then we talked our way through it.
- 1:10Speaker 5: And the last two shows you've done, you're oh for
- 1:13Speaker 5: two on the Hells.
- 1:15Speaker 6: I don't remember the reason last time.
- 1:17Speaker 3: You I don't know why, but you're it broke your
- 1:21Speaker 3: voice broke crack.
- 1:23Speaker 6: That's right, second puberty.
- 1:24Speaker 5: Yes, okay.
- 1:26Speaker 3: The coyote was this one always like the Matt tripod one,
- 1:33Speaker 3: was a.
- 1:33Speaker 6: Little bit for natural causes a little bit. This is
- 1:36Speaker 6: a self inflicted self inflicted voices kind of gone a
- 1:40Speaker 6: little bit. We're gonna push through it.
- 1:42Speaker 5: What were you yelling a lot? Or you yell at Talladego?
- 1:47Speaker 6: We yelled a lot. I mean, I guess it was
- 1:49Speaker 6: just talking a lot of laughs.
- 1:53Speaker 5: I love that for you.
- 1:54Speaker 7: So like I feel like it's very loud there. Someone
- 1:59Speaker 7: it is very loud there.
- 2:00Speaker 6: And you know, you get together with a group of
- 2:02Speaker 6: old buddies, an old uh couple of ole patinas that
- 2:06Speaker 6: you used to hang out with a little bit, some
- 2:09Speaker 6: pops go down, a couple of things happen, a little
- 2:11Speaker 6: bit of lack of sleep as well. You stay up late,
- 2:13Speaker 6: play some cards, having some laughs. So you know, I
- 2:17Speaker 6: mune system gets shot a little bit.
- 2:19Speaker 5: It'd be like that.
- 2:19Speaker 6: It'd be like that sometimes. So we're getting out, we're
- 2:23Speaker 6: catching up on a rest. Now doing the morning show
- 2:26Speaker 6: doesn't help catching on the rest, but you know we're here.
- 2:28Speaker 6: What's bad about twenty five minutes earlier?
- 2:31Speaker 5: We can't catch up on rest?
- 2:34Speaker 6: Not bad now, No, not no, not at this point.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Maybe like in June, our June's going to be pretty
- 2:41Speaker 2: free compared to what it normally is.
- 2:43Speaker 6: So it was a short show start later in June. No,
- 2:46Speaker 6: just like sports wise, like you don't have to worry
- 2:49Speaker 6: about keeping up with baseball, is what I was kind
- 2:54Speaker 6: of saying. They come al most of there.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Uh, well, come in and you can tell hold Wolf back, Jake,
- 3:03Speaker 2: Flannelaningette all here back with you. It's been a minute
- 3:07Speaker 2: a week, a week. It has been last Tuesday, last
- 3:10Speaker 2: time we were all here. So glad to be back
- 3:14Speaker 2: with everyone. We've got a lot to get to and
- 3:16Speaker 2: have a lot of fun today. Looking forward to today.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Missed the wolf Pack. Could have everybody back in here.
- 3:22Speaker 6: Mm hmm.
- 3:22Speaker 3: This is the show that's like the most, like we're
- 3:25Speaker 3: never together, but we have the most people.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, true.
- 3:29Speaker 6: And most people we're only and we're all all busy.
- 3:32Speaker 6: It's streaky. Yeah. We'll go like two months altogether, right
- 3:36Speaker 6: in the couple of weeks where.
- 3:38Speaker 5: And then like I decided to just go to Texas
- 3:40Speaker 5: and there, Yeah, I.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Look, I have one more yes, one more show that
- 3:48Speaker 2: I have to go do.
- 3:49Speaker 6: And it's Monday, this upcoming Monday, and.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Then wait where are you going?
- 3:54Speaker 6: I gotta go to the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah, nors getting in. Yeah, and so they want
- 3:59Speaker 2: me to do Sunday and Monday. So I'm gonna show
- 4:02Speaker 2: Sunday night and then Monday more.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Isn't there somebody from l s U getting Yeah bug okay,
- 4:07Speaker 3: yeah yeah yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Booger Yeah yeah, Roman Harper, our good friend Roman is getting.
- 4:12Speaker 6: The Senior Bowl has a Hall of fame. Yeah, okay, yeah.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Every every year they do a big golf tournament, but
- 4:20Speaker 2: that's on Monday morning. But on Sunday night they host
- 4:23Speaker 2: like a pretty big event. It's it's it's a good,
- 4:26Speaker 2: good deal. Okay, it's what reason does the Senior Bowl
- 4:28Speaker 2: has a Hall of fame?
- 4:29Speaker 6: You think? I mean, everything's got a hall of fame? Okay?
- 4:32Speaker 6: Is it like based on how good you play at
- 4:34Speaker 6: the Senior Bowl or your career was, how good your
- 4:37Speaker 6: career was? All right? Yeah, all right, tight.
- 4:42Speaker 2: So I wonder if those two carries for ten yards
- 4:45Speaker 2: that I had in the Senior Bowl game?
- 4:47Speaker 6: Probably yeah, I mean, what's with your practices?
- 4:51Speaker 7: What do they say the minimal number of carries? Because
- 4:54Speaker 7: five yards a pop?
- 4:55Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that might be real bad. Yeah it's pretty good.
- 4:59Speaker 6: Probably not.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It was more highlighting the two carry part. But yeah,
- 5:07Speaker 2: it's uh, it's a pretty good class. I know it's Booger,
- 5:09Speaker 2: and I know it's Roman, I know it's North, but
- 5:11Speaker 2: there's some other names.
- 5:12Speaker 6: But it's been a lot of fun the last couple
- 5:14Speaker 6: of years.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I've had some former teammates like Philip got in one year,
- 5:17Speaker 2: Weddell got in one year.
- 5:19Speaker 6: So okay, I've learning something new every day, and I
- 5:23Speaker 6: just learned that there's a Senior Bawl Hall of Fame.
- 5:26Speaker 3: I got the email for it because of the from
- 5:29Speaker 3: when we went to the Senior Bowl. I guess I
- 5:31Speaker 3: got like the press release. That's the only reason why
- 5:33Speaker 3: I know, okay.
- 5:36Speaker 6: Because I'm still not understanding completely why we have a
- 5:39Speaker 6: Hall of Fame. But I mean, really, I mean I'm excited.
- 5:43Speaker 6: It's like anything. I mean, everything feels like it's got
- 5:45Speaker 6: a Hall of fame. Jason Campbell, old Alburn quarterbacks getting in.
- 5:50Speaker 6: So that's not for a pro career. Why would he
- 5:52Speaker 6: be getting in?
- 5:54Speaker 5: Look, Tyler Shuck is the Senior Bowl rookie of Yaguar.
- 5:58Speaker 8: He played a long time the Skins for a while Raiders, right,
- 6:01Speaker 8: But I guess, like if you, if you make it
- 6:03Speaker 8: eight plus years, you just get in. I'm asking I'm
- 6:08Speaker 8: asking a real question, sir.
- 6:10Speaker 6: So I don't know. I'm asking you, ques of the
- 6:12Speaker 6: Hall of Fame?
- 6:13Speaker 5: What gets you?
- 6:15Speaker 6: What are the prerequisites here? I don't know. I feel
- 6:20Speaker 6: like Jason Campbell just caught a straight though.
- 6:22Speaker 3: No, getting into the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame requires
- 6:25Speaker 3: having a standout NFL career. Combined with a memorable larger
- 6:29Speaker 3: than live performance in the Senior Bowl game.
- 6:31Speaker 6: Itself, larger than life performance. What tyrant is that's a
- 6:36Speaker 6: little bit dramatic.
- 6:37Speaker 5: It is very dramatic.
- 6:39Speaker 6: So again again Uh.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Jason Campbell played UH from two thousand and five to
- 6:46Speaker 2: twenty fourteen.
- 6:47Speaker 6: In the league. He had a fantastic career.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Jack Prescott's in the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame that
- 6:54Speaker 3: I did the show her deck too.
- 6:56Speaker 6: They have a larger than live performance. I don't know
- 6:58Speaker 6: that guy. She did have a good senior week. That's
- 7:01Speaker 6: kind of yeah. Drafted t os in there.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Von Miller, Frank O'Hara.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I was von Miller's teammate for like two years, and
- 7:11Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure when to introduce myself, like said, hello tone, Yep,
- 7:14Speaker 2: pretty sure.
- 7:15Speaker 6: I had to introduce myself to well, sure, you just got
- 7:17Speaker 6: one of those faces for two years, standard white face.
- 7:22Speaker 5: You right, you've been Affleck.
- 7:25Speaker 7: Twenty one jump Street. You got a very plane face.
- 7:28Speaker 7: He's like, yeah, that's what they call me, old plane face.
- 7:30Speaker 5: Yeah, okay.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Significant NFL success inductees are generally former Pro bowlers, all pros,
- 7:37Speaker 3: or high impact players with long lasting NFL legacies.
- 7:42Speaker 6: Oh wow, okay, well a strong yeah, I.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Mean like strong performance during their time and mobile acts
- 7:49Speaker 3: as a springboard to the professional success and coaching excellence
- 7:53Speaker 3: can also be part of it.
- 7:55Speaker 5: So like Paul bear Bryant is in the Senior Bowl
- 7:59Speaker 5: Hall of Fame.
- 7:59Speaker 3: He was excellent and now okay, wait he's eligible, and
- 8:03Speaker 3: North Turner is also eligible, and obviously.
- 8:06Speaker 6: Get bear Bryan's eligible.
- 8:07Speaker 5: He's eligible, hadn't made it not there yet?
- 8:10Speaker 3: Okay, Well, what bear Bryant needs to do to get
- 8:13Speaker 3: into the twenty.
- 8:14Speaker 6: Seven Maybe it's his year. Maybe it's bear Bryant's year
- 8:17Speaker 6: for the Hall of Fame next year. Hm hmm. I
- 8:21Speaker 6: can see Booger because of his aft off the field
- 8:24Speaker 6: success and he was a really good player, Yeah, a
- 8:26Speaker 6: really good player for a long time. Yeah. Super Bowl Champ, yep,
- 8:30Speaker 6: nice draft pick, yeah, Roman, super Bowl Champ played a
- 8:33Speaker 6: long time. Yeah, they've all had extended their careers off
- 8:36Speaker 6: the field. Yeah, I'm sure very good. Way that place.
- 8:40Speaker 6: Do you remember the episode when it was like me.
- 8:42Speaker 2: You and Ronnie Rants, like, I mean way back twenty
- 8:47Speaker 2: eighteen probably and or whenever he took over for the
- 8:50Speaker 2: Hall of Fame and we were we had him all
- 8:53Speaker 2: because the new class was going in and it was
- 8:57Speaker 2: like a rodeo clown, a best fisherman something like along
- 9:02Speaker 2: those lines or whatever.
- 9:03Speaker 6: And we were kind of like, well, like, what do
- 9:04Speaker 6: we gotta do here, Ronnie?
- 9:05Speaker 2: Yeah, like we started getting the high school stuff or
- 9:08Speaker 2: like l Shoe in the NFL, and he straight up
- 9:10Speaker 2: was like, I don't know, like, you know, maybe if
- 9:12Speaker 2: y'all continue on with like this career, like maybe maybe
- 9:15Speaker 2: that will put you all over the top.
- 9:18Speaker 6: It's gonna be a good little argument.
- 9:19Speaker 2: It's like, if you'll keep calling like in media, I
- 9:21Speaker 2: don't know, maybe I'll put.
- 9:22Speaker 6: You over the top.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Biggest hater I know.
- 9:24Speaker 6: Oh it's so funny. He was so serious. Pretty tough
- 9:28Speaker 6: requirements for that, Yeah, pretty stringent, which they should be,
- 9:32Speaker 6: but not as stringent as I bear Bryant Bryan in.
- 9:38Speaker 7: The qualification larger than live performance at Senior Bowl and
- 9:42Speaker 7: pro career.
- 9:44Speaker 6: That's what they say.
- 9:46Speaker 3: But it also said the coaches part, I think is
- 9:49Speaker 3: different because it just says for the coaches, wait where
- 9:52Speaker 3: to go?
- 9:54Speaker 5: It said something different for the legendary coaches.
- 9:57Speaker 6: Legendary coaches, Well, you know, I.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Don't know, but Tyler Shuck is the Rookie of the
- 10:02Speaker 3: Year for the Singer Bowl and R J.
- 10:04Speaker 9: Harvey, Oh, the Senior Bowl Rookie of the Year, and
- 10:11Speaker 9: the My High zero and the Mersey zero.
- 10:15Speaker 3: And Pepsi zero Unanimous of the Year.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Off of the NFL given it to Tedoro McMillan.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Yeah, for the offense. Every other every other Rookie of
- 10:26Speaker 2: the Year is Tyler Shuck.
- 10:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:29Speaker 5: It was like the NFL got it wrong.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Is going to be at the because typically the Rookie
- 10:33Speaker 6: of the Year for the Singer Bowl is Yeah.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Did you tell him that he was My High zero
- 10:38Speaker 3: Rookie of the Year the last time I didn't tell him?
- 10:41Speaker 6: Fumbled trophy head, I forgot the deal. He I think
- 10:45Speaker 6: he retweeted it. Yeah, you let him know that we
- 10:48Speaker 6: were the dumb dumbs that he came on the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 6: for sure.
- 10:51Speaker 5: He seemed like he did you tell him about the I.
- 10:53Speaker 6: Told him he was going to start doing a weekly appearance.
- 10:56Speaker 6: He didn't like agree with it, but he didn't say no.
- 10:59Speaker 7: He said only once A who didn't Yeah, exactly, we
- 11:02Speaker 7: can do twice a week.
- 11:02Speaker 6: Ago.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Mm hm, you're telling him to rule though. The first
- 11:07Speaker 2: phone calls free. The second one's got to be a
- 11:08Speaker 2: FaceTime Ye.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Sorry, you're kind. I mean you're a big deal, but
- 11:13Speaker 6: not that big a deal.
- 11:14Speaker 7: Right, every every Friday y're in football season. He's not
- 11:16Speaker 7: the busy Yeah, I mean not even on the off
- 11:20Speaker 7: day too. He needs to come on a workday.
- 11:23Speaker 3: We need to come in just on a Sunday, just
- 11:25Speaker 3: to just for Tyler Show. And he has to come
- 11:29Speaker 3: on once.
- 11:30Speaker 7: On the phone off day, he has to come in
- 11:32Speaker 7: the studio. We know he's not we know he's not
- 11:34Speaker 7: doing anything that day.
- 11:35Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I know quarterbacks are weird. They're there on Tuesday. Sometimes
- 11:39Speaker 2: not all the time, but I think one quarterback goes
- 11:43Speaker 2: in on Tuesday.
- 11:44Speaker 6: Y'all are weird. All three of y'all go, no, no,
- 11:48Speaker 6: they you don't really unless this one certain quarterback makes you.
- 11:56Speaker 6: You made everybody go yeah, I be that. Yeah, five
- 12:03Speaker 6: fifteen breakfast Tomorrow, we're gonna sit around for an hour
- 12:06Speaker 6: and do nothing. I can tell you two people.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I can tell you two people an NFL facility never
- 12:10Speaker 2: saw on a Tuesday, and they're sitting up here.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Unless we had a Thursday night game or something, or
- 12:17Speaker 6: a Saturday. WELLOK, at some point at some point there
- 12:21Speaker 6: is technology. Yeah, and you got to hit reset too
- 12:23Speaker 6: that Tuesday, we gotta hit reset and there is technology
- 12:26Speaker 6: out there Monday till five. A lot of my prep
- 12:30Speaker 6: was film work and to the technology is available that
- 12:34Speaker 6: they have these things called computers and laptops that have
- 12:38Speaker 6: the film on there you can watch it at home.
- 12:42Speaker 6: So I didn't have to like, you know.
- 12:43Speaker 5: Did you just make that up?
- 12:46Speaker 6: These things that computers. It's new tech. So that was
- 12:51Speaker 6: later in our career that we had iPads and all that. Yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 6: I like the I still like the computer. But no, yeah,
- 12:55Speaker 6: me too. Obviously. Did y'all have video?
- 12:59Speaker 2: Guy kind of not being weird about it, but like
- 13:03Speaker 2: you'd ask them to load everything on your laptop and.
- 13:06Speaker 6: No, they were like they gave us laptops. They did.
- 13:09Speaker 2: They would load ours, like load ours with the you
- 13:11Speaker 2: know stuff, and then like when you got released, they
- 13:13Speaker 2: would delete it from They didn't have to have it,
- 13:15Speaker 2: they would it from wherever.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Yeah, No, it was like it for the quarterbacks. It
- 13:19Speaker 6: was like giving us a playbook. They gave us the
- 13:20Speaker 6: computer and every week and like after into the work week,
- 13:23Speaker 6: we'd give it to them. They'd load everything and for
- 13:25Speaker 6: the next week and give it back to us. So
- 13:26Speaker 6: I watched a lot of my film at home, like
- 13:28Speaker 6: on the off day if we didn't go in. But
- 13:30Speaker 6: I mean it was also Green Bay. Yeah, it wasn't
- 13:33Speaker 6: like everyone was like five to ten minutes away from
- 13:35Speaker 6: the stadium, so it was really easy. So I would
- 13:38Speaker 6: go in on too far. I am jealous. On Tuesday,
- 13:41Speaker 6: get like a little light workout in and like we
- 13:43Speaker 6: always hit this really great uh dining hall. I'd go
- 13:46Speaker 6: eat fill Like, yeah, I'd go eat it's nice. We
- 13:47Speaker 6: were forty minutes away. Yeah, yeah, it was super easy
- 13:50Speaker 6: to go to the facility. So did they get a
- 13:52Speaker 6: little hot tub cold tub action in? It's fantastic. But yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 6: I did a lot of film study. I didn't have
- 13:57Speaker 6: to show the coaches that I was watching film like
- 14:02Speaker 6: some people. Some people are unlimited with that, you know
- 14:05Speaker 6: what I mean? Yeah, the work ethic, asking questions and
- 14:11Speaker 6: know the answer to already. Yeah yeah, push pause and
- 14:17Speaker 6: look on your phone till you hear a coach walking
- 14:19Speaker 6: down the hall to push play. There's there's so many
- 14:24Speaker 6: people like but I never you're talking about. But got
- 14:27Speaker 6: so many people anyway, Hall of Fame hopefully one day
- 14:31Speaker 6: Tyler Shuck will get inducted to the Senior Ball Hall
- 14:35Speaker 6: of Fame, because that's the thing, and if he does,
- 14:37Speaker 6: we'll be there. Him and Jason Campbell be right next
- 14:40Speaker 6: to each other. They get a bust it is.
- 14:45Speaker 2: It is in fair Hope, which is a nice question.
- 14:50Speaker 6: Golf courses. It's kind of nice. I bet it. It
- 14:53Speaker 6: looked really nice. I didn't get to play it. It
- 14:54Speaker 6: was a little family trip. Yeah they moved.
- 14:58Speaker 2: It used to be in I know, we got a break,
- 15:00Speaker 2: but he used to be in uh like end of June,
- 15:03Speaker 2: maybe like July, even early July.
- 15:06Speaker 6: He used to be yeah, yeah out there. You know what.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Now I'm thinking, I'm sorrying to think now maybe that's
- 15:13Speaker 6: where I went wrong in my career. What maybe I
- 15:16Speaker 6: should have done the fake film watching. Yeah, no you
- 15:21Speaker 6: ever get blank tapes? No, I never got blank tapes.
- 15:24Speaker 6: But maybe I should have done that. You know, we
- 15:26Speaker 6: had try to share my coach, how hard we had.
- 15:30Speaker 2: We had a guy in Denver that did like everything
- 15:32Speaker 2: that you're talking about, and he was a good football player,
- 15:36Speaker 2: but nobody wanted to be around him because yeah, it
- 15:42Speaker 2: was all fake. Yeah, oh yeah, even even the running
- 15:44Speaker 2: back coach at times would be like, man, you got
- 15:47Speaker 2: to stop this, like in front of all of us.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Yeah, you got to cut it out. Dude, you suck.
- 15:54Speaker 2: All right, wolf Back's back. Don't know where this is going,
- 15:57Speaker 2: don't really care you. We gotta talk about NASCAR's glad
- 15:59Speaker 2: to be else to the Dragon ba with everybody we could,
- 16:02Speaker 2: we could do that.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Are you game with Thrones guy?
- 16:04Speaker 6: Oh yeah? Oh yeah, I think everybody. My nickname is Dragon.
- 16:09Speaker 5: I know, but I thowt you just got that because
- 16:11Speaker 5: it was sick, not because of.
- 16:13Speaker 6: The Actually it was a self given nickname before give
- 16:16Speaker 6: it Thrones exactly.
- 16:18Speaker 5: So why are you acting like I'm dumb for asking
- 16:20Speaker 5: that question?
- 16:22Speaker 6: Real dumn question. Oh also, Flynn failed on recruiting our quarterback.
- 16:31Speaker 5: Mmm.
- 16:32Speaker 6: True, you know nothing was going to come here, but
- 16:36Speaker 6: he let him go to Alabama. I'm okay with Alabama
- 16:41Speaker 6: because it's not Florida, Florida anywhere else.
- 16:47Speaker 7: I was thinking about this this morning. I was like, uh,
- 16:49Speaker 7: you're gonna get fly. I was like, well, all we
- 16:51Speaker 7: said was don't let him go to Florida.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Very yeah. I mean I've never had an issue with Alabama.
- 16:57Speaker 6: That's because yeah, it's because we beat him every time. Yeah,
- 17:00Speaker 6: they were good for a while, but you know they

- 20:06Speaker 2: I do think almost like still kind of banners or
- 20:09Speaker 2: whatever you want to call those boards. I guess it
- 20:11Speaker 2: does kind of change the vibe in here in a
- 20:13Speaker 2: good way.
- 20:13Speaker 6: That's there. It's funny because the black ones yesterday, I
- 20:17Speaker 6: like the new black ones from Value Automotive too different, vibe,
- 20:20Speaker 6: subtle on a Monday. Yeah, it's perfect for a Monday,
- 20:24Speaker 6: but for big energy Tuesday.
- 20:27Speaker 5: These gold ones bet big energy Tuesday.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, all right you yeah, yeah, dead ass.
- 20:36Speaker 6: Bet bet that love that block community still.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Too, shout out community still.
- 20:45Speaker 6: And they're beautiful yellow and gold banners. Oh yeah, all right,
- 20:52Speaker 6: let's go ahead and get the show started.
- 20:56Speaker 1: It's time to get glowing courtesy of Go Flow ivy spot,
- 21:00Speaker 1: where hydration vitamins and a summer ready glow are always
- 21:04Speaker 1: on tap now for starters.
- 21:09Speaker 2: I kind of know who this guy doing the ESPN
- 21:13Speaker 2: draft is. I know, I know this doesn't make great
- 21:17Speaker 2: radio because y'all can't see. But if you're at your house,
- 21:19Speaker 2: turned to ESPN two and you'll tell me who this
- 21:22Speaker 2: human is.
- 21:22Speaker 6: He looks like radio. He looks like what's his name?
- 21:25Speaker 6: Super Troopers?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Uh Farva, the leader of Cola per cop I mean
- 21:32Speaker 2: mustache get the soul patch. Okay, I just caught me.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 21:37Speaker 6: Anyways, it is very distracting, very distracting. Cover that guy.
- 21:43Speaker 6: Who is I've never seen this human being. He's he's
- 21:52Speaker 6: draft guy. That's true a mocked.
- 21:55Speaker 7: NBA does draft everyone, I mean, not like the NFL
- 21:59Speaker 7: its two rounds.
- 22:01Speaker 6: Have y'all watched the dribble yet? Yeah? What's some Uh?
- 22:04Speaker 6: What's Sunday? Yeah? I think NBA is a real poor product.
- 22:10Speaker 10: Can you name five players save that I want to
- 22:15Speaker 10: do go flow and I don't want you to ask
- 22:16Speaker 10: him that, Okay, go flow iv dot com g e
- 22:20Speaker 10: a ux flow iv dot com two D five nine
- 22:22Speaker 10: five three eight one five zero two two five nine
- 22:24Speaker 10: five three eight one five zero.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I am going to assume that it is probably in
- 22:28Speaker 2: the future of my co host here to go see
- 22:30Speaker 2: them at go Flow. After a week at Talladega, go
- 22:33Speaker 2: flow ivy dot com.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I was actually thinking about them this weekend. I
- 22:37Speaker 6: was like, man, wish I wish I could have got
- 22:40Speaker 6: one of these to go because I could have needed it.
- 22:43Speaker 6: But you know what, I'm here, I'm back, and I'm
- 22:45Speaker 6: gonna go over to Jefferson Highway right here in bat
- 22:47Speaker 6: It's near Boat Cos and go check out their amazing
- 22:50Speaker 6: location over there. They're amazing staff. I'm gonna get in
- 22:52Speaker 6: and out. I'mnna get there, get me and iv about
- 22:54Speaker 6: thirty minutes in and out, get hydrated, get vitamized, kind
- 22:57Speaker 6: of rejuvenate the body a little bit. Couple of self
- 23:00Speaker 6: inflicted wounds, but we're going to fix that right over there,
- 23:02Speaker 6: Go flow, Go flow Ivy. Spo'll go flow Ivy. Not
- 23:06Speaker 6: the self inflicted wounds, all right, go ahead, Elandra.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Can you name five current players in the NBA?
- 23:12Speaker 6: Sure, I bet I can hit me. Lebron, James Bronni James,
- 23:18Speaker 6: Oh my god, this Luca don Chick he can do
- 23:22Speaker 6: it because of cards, Shay Gillis, Shay Gillis whatever, Anthony Edwards.
- 23:27Speaker 5: Okay, I'm proud of you. Yeah, Lebron James and his son.
- 23:32Speaker 6: But it's also it's also Shaye gilgis Alexander. He just
- 23:37Speaker 6: knows how much his cards are worth. Yep. Which team
- 23:41Speaker 6: does nas read play for? I think at one point
- 23:47Speaker 6: he played for Memphis. No, he's only played for one team.
- 23:50Speaker 6: What college did not read? Go to this one? This one? Which?
- 23:55Speaker 6: What's this one?
- 23:56Speaker 5: Who? What team is Kevin Durant on right now?
- 23:59Speaker 2: Hm?
- 24:00Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I said you wouldn't know this one? Is
- 24:02Speaker 6: it Houston? Okay? You actually got it? Not a big deal.
- 24:09Speaker 5: You're doing way better than we thought you would.
- 24:11Speaker 7: What the cards do help in sharedness? The bar was
- 24:14Speaker 7: said incredibly low.
- 24:16Speaker 6: Kevin Durant was on. I didn't think he would know.
- 24:18Speaker 6: I mean, I think I.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Expecting him to say the thunder.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Was going to say the Suns. To be honest, did
- 24:27Speaker 2: you forget that he plays? I forgot that one for sure?
- 24:31Speaker 6: What cup? What team does he play for? Huh? Tarry Easton,
- 24:37Speaker 6: Tarry Easton, Tarry Easton. It's not gonna be the Rockets.
- 24:42Speaker 6: We've already said that one, because only one player per
- 24:47Speaker 6: team for the Rockets plays for the Rockets. I gotta placed,
- 24:53Speaker 6: I gotta plays for the Nets. He plays for the
- 24:55Speaker 6: Houston Rocket. He is on the Rockets. Tricks me. That's
- 25:00Speaker 6: not fair. Should can look yourself in the mirror later,
- 25:05Speaker 6: trick the trick a fellow coyote. Yeah, trick you. We
- 25:10Speaker 6: just asked. It wasn't a trick question. You eliminated Houston.
- 25:15Speaker 5: Did trick yourself.
- 25:16Speaker 6: I think I could even get the ten NBA players
- 25:19Speaker 6: probably were there were a big name when he didn't
- 25:22Speaker 6: get to I hope so. I mean he didn't not
- 25:26Speaker 6: because he's next. He was up, he got concussed, right, Yeah,
- 25:32Speaker 6: they had a good game. He put himself to sleep.
- 25:35Speaker 6: Yeah he did. I mean he's so long, he gotta
- 25:39Speaker 6: think he's gonna.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I just don't feel like Lebron and Browne should come
- 25:44Speaker 3: back to back like that.
- 25:45Speaker 5: But whatever, I'll give it to you.
- 25:48Speaker 6: And everything he does, he didn't. He didn't show it
- 25:51Speaker 6: very often.
- 25:53Speaker 7: He started a playoff game and Lebron said, I'm proud
- 25:56Speaker 7: my son did this all on his own.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Truth.
- 26:01Speaker 6: Well he did, he earned it. He earned it all right.
- 26:04Speaker 6: It's like everybody else, all right, but the sneakers on
- 26:07Speaker 6: one foot at a time.
- 26:10Speaker 2: So today, to get the show started, I wanted to
- 26:13Speaker 2: ask you about Garrett Nesmeyer because you're an ltrue quarterback
- 26:18Speaker 2: that went into the seventh round of the draft and
- 26:20Speaker 2: had a very long NFL career. So Garrett Nessmeyer, for
- 26:23Speaker 2: whatever reason, there was some quarterbacks that got drafted ahead
- 26:27Speaker 2: of him that were very surprising.
- 26:30Speaker 6: To say the least.
- 26:31Speaker 2: That's not just us saying it as LS you guys,
- 26:33Speaker 2: that's everyone I worked with this weekend. That's every show
- 26:36Speaker 2: that you turn on. That's every draft expert that we
- 26:38Speaker 2: trust or at least you know, have some faith in.
- 26:43Speaker 2: He goes into seventh round, but he does go to
- 26:47Speaker 2: a pretty decent situation in Kansas City. Now, when you
- 26:50Speaker 2: went in the seventh round, you had a second round
- 26:53Speaker 2: pick in the same draft class to the same team,
- 26:56Speaker 2: and you end up beating out that draft pick.
- 26:58Speaker 6: So it's a different situation. But I wanted.
- 27:00Speaker 2: You to kind of talk about what it's like as
- 27:03Speaker 2: a seventh rounder and maybe Garrett Nessmeyer's situation going to
- 27:06Speaker 2: the Kansas City Chiefs, where it's obviously Patrick Mahomes, it's
- 27:10Speaker 2: justin fields, it's Jake Hayner. Those are the quarterbacks on
- 27:14Speaker 2: their roster.
- 27:14Speaker 6: Now.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I don't know if the nus Meyer family got calls saying, hey,
- 27:19Speaker 2: do you want to be drafted? Do you want to
- 27:21Speaker 2: sign as a free agent? Like if we draft you here,
- 27:24Speaker 2: I would assume they did. But he goes to an
- 27:27Speaker 2: actual landing spot that I think he can learn. I mean,
- 27:31Speaker 2: Andy Reid's going to be in the room with him.
- 27:33Speaker 2: That goes a long way. Mahomes is injured right now.
- 27:36Speaker 2: So Garrett Nusmeyer to the.
- 27:37Speaker 6: Chiefs, Yeah, I was as shocked as anybody to see
- 27:44Speaker 6: him go so low. Now, if you would have asked
- 27:48Speaker 6: me this back in November, Am I shocked that he's
- 27:51Speaker 6: going at that? I would have said no. I mean
- 27:54Speaker 6: there was points in the season before we knew what
- 27:57Speaker 6: we know now with injury, how bad this game actually was,
- 28:01Speaker 6: just how bad the whole situation was offensively for everything
- 28:04Speaker 6: nobody could have performed well and what we were trying
- 28:07Speaker 6: to get accomplished. I think if you had asked us then,
- 28:11Speaker 6: I think we talked about it multiples, like he's he's
- 28:13Speaker 6: starting to like play himself to maybe be undraftable, like
- 28:18Speaker 6: at this point just because of the product that's on
- 28:20Speaker 6: the field. Now we know a lot more now than
- 28:21Speaker 6: we did then. And he redeemed all those all those
- 28:26Speaker 6: questions and he answered all those questions, and there's no
- 28:30Speaker 6: reason he should have fallen to the seventh round. Yeah. Now,
- 28:34Speaker 6: if you like the silver lining is exactly what you said,
- 28:36Speaker 6: You're going to a situation that is extremely favorable for you.
- 28:41Speaker 6: Now I would like to have I'd like to see
- 28:44Speaker 6: him with the little bit lower number as a draft
- 28:48Speaker 6: pick going into any situation, because he gives you more power.
- 28:51Speaker 6: It does. It gives you more stability, like when you
- 28:54Speaker 6: get into the seventh round, and you go into the
- 28:56Speaker 6: seventh round, and I was, and I was very fortunate
- 28:58Speaker 6: just the situation that I got put in. Now, fortune
- 29:01Speaker 6: meets preparation at some point. Fortunate, I mean you you
- 29:06Speaker 6: went into a tough situation. I went in a tough situation.
- 29:10Speaker 6: But when you have a seventh round pick by your name,
- 29:15Speaker 6: you're a draft pick. You are, but you don't get
- 29:17Speaker 6: his You don't get to make as many mistakes as
- 29:20Speaker 6: a sixth. A sixth doesn't get to make some mispakes
- 29:22Speaker 6: as a fifth, and so on and so forth.
- 29:24Speaker 2: It's like the first three rounds at least the first
- 29:27Speaker 2: year or almost protected. Yeah, in a way where you
- 29:31Speaker 2: you'd have to mess it up off the field, almost
- 29:34Speaker 2: to be released yeah, but in the seventh round you
- 29:36Speaker 2: don't have that opportunity.
- 29:37Speaker 6: And the seventh round also comes is like sometimes there
- 29:40Speaker 6: are there are people luxury picks that you know, we
- 29:43Speaker 6: don't really need the position, but we kind of like
- 29:45Speaker 6: the kid, and we're going to take a see what happens.
- 29:47Speaker 6: Maybe there's an it like I got fortunate because I
- 29:50Speaker 6: got picked in the seventh round and and I got
- 29:53Speaker 6: picked as the third guy, Like I was not supposed
- 29:55Speaker 6: to beat out a second round pick, right. Uh. It
- 29:59Speaker 6: just that doesn't really happen a lot. But when we
- 30:03Speaker 6: and you know that, I think I've told the story before.
- 30:04Speaker 6: Brett Faravamys came back to the to the Packers around
- 30:09Speaker 6: July fourth. Yeah, and if he would have come back,
- 30:13Speaker 6: I would have been cut, Like because even though you're
- 30:16Speaker 6: better than Brian Brohm, he was the second round pick.
- 30:18Speaker 6: It was a sad I just didn't have I wouldn't
- 30:19Speaker 6: have had that opportunity. But I say all that because
- 30:24Speaker 6: it does sound like it seemed like, at least from
- 30:28Speaker 6: our seats, that he's going into a fantastic situation. We
- 30:30Speaker 6: talked about this before the draft. I said, I hope
- 30:33Speaker 6: he doesn't go to the Cardinals.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Right, And I think that's a great point because even
- 30:38Speaker 2: you know, doing the show live, I was bummed and
- 30:40Speaker 2: I was mad that he, like all these quarterbacks kept going.
- 30:43Speaker 2: But I said, you know, the good thing for him
- 30:46Speaker 2: is he's not going to the Jets, he's not going
- 30:47Speaker 2: to the Cardinals, he's not going to the Browns. And
- 30:51Speaker 2: you know, my co host was kind of like, well,
- 30:52Speaker 2: what do you mean by that. I'm like, those are
- 30:54Speaker 2: bad situations for quarterbacks. Yeah, there's a reason why they
- 30:57Speaker 2: continually search for quarterbacks over and over and over again.
- 31:00Speaker 6: In right, those are bad situations.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Now, I don't think Drew Aller going to Pittsburgh is
- 31:04Speaker 2: as bad because that's a stable franchise. Now, the quarterback
- 31:07Speaker 2: issues have been there for a while outside of Aaron Rodgers,
- 31:10Speaker 2: but he's going to be a one year deal. But
- 31:12Speaker 2: those other franchises, there's a reason why there's a Browns
- 31:15Speaker 2: jersey that has ninety seven names on it that people
- 31:19Speaker 2: know about, right, So you're not going to be it
- 31:23Speaker 2: is though it is, but also like it's there, and
- 31:26Speaker 2: so the fact that he goes to somewhere like Kansas
- 31:28Speaker 2: City that is as stable of a franchise as any
- 31:31Speaker 2: in the National Football League and he can go be
- 31:34Speaker 2: himself and doesn't have to worry about the pressure of
- 31:39Speaker 2: being a starter.
- 31:41Speaker 6: He's got to do for a while. All he has
- 31:43Speaker 6: to do is learn how to be a professional quarterback,
- 31:45Speaker 6: I agree, a professional football player and improve and tweak
- 31:48Speaker 6: his skill set in his game. Now he has to
- 31:51Speaker 6: They have to give him the opportunity to continue and
- 31:54Speaker 6: do that. There you're going to be you know you.
- 31:57Speaker 6: You will have to perform in practice, yes, and show
- 32:00Speaker 6: that you can not make the same mistake twice because
- 32:04Speaker 6: of the seventh round pick. If you make the same
- 32:05Speaker 6: mistake twice too many times, you get cut. Like that's
- 32:08Speaker 6: just the fact of the matter. But he is going
- 32:12Speaker 6: to have a great up like I get. I became
- 32:14Speaker 6: my first year in the NFL. I became twice as
- 32:18Speaker 6: good of a quarterback than I did in five years
- 32:21Speaker 6: at LSU. Right. Hey, I after my half middle of
- 32:25Speaker 6: my season, my rookie year, I was like, man, I
- 32:29Speaker 6: stunk because it's just ya. It opens your eyes. You
- 32:34Speaker 6: just be like you you have to make that jump
- 32:36Speaker 6: to be able to play at that level. The difference
- 32:38Speaker 6: between playing at college and playing in the NFL is
- 32:42Speaker 6: a difference between the Gulf of Mexico and a bathtub
- 32:45Speaker 6: like it's it's not even close, and you have to
- 32:48Speaker 6: elevate yourself to that next level fast, and some people do,
- 32:53Speaker 6: some people don't. But he has the ability, obviously, he
- 32:56Speaker 6: has the ability to do it. We've seen it. We
- 32:59Speaker 6: didn't see it this past year because of all the
- 33:01Speaker 6: things we all know about, but we've seen exactly what
- 33:04Speaker 6: he could do. And again, I would rather him go
- 33:06Speaker 6: in the seventh round of the Chiefs than the third
- 33:08Speaker 6: round of the Cardinals. Or who the fifth round Taylor
- 33:12Speaker 6: Green went? Who went to the brown tailing? Yeah, the
- 33:15Speaker 6: sixth round, Taylor Green going before dust Fire? Who's this guy?
- 33:22Speaker 6: Who Calikanakis?
- 33:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Who's Who's this Morton fella from Texas Town?
- 33:30Speaker 6: I mean Cole Peyton. I can see that to the
- 33:32Speaker 6: Eagles because he just they want to do a tish
- 33:35Speaker 6: push and he's a big, big fellow, but he has
- 33:37Speaker 6: he's seen Yeah, I mean, he's half the thrower of
- 33:41Speaker 6: the football, right, Garrett As I saw it firsthand for
- 33:43Speaker 6: a whole week. Right, He's whatever. Yeah, but it did
- 33:47Speaker 6: piss me off. Yeah, went to the South round. I
- 33:50Speaker 6: was like the same way, I'm like, And then I know,
- 33:54Speaker 6: I know, we can take a break. We can come
- 33:56Speaker 6: back and talk about him. This is a real quick
- 33:59Speaker 6: point and then we can break.
- 34:01Speaker 2: I was listening to NFL radio yesterday, like when my
- 34:05Speaker 2: drive home and we have a former GM on there
- 34:07Speaker 2: and now this was Ran Karthon. Now this wasn't him
- 34:10Speaker 2: saying this. He was saying he heard work ethic attitude
- 34:14Speaker 2: and like think, I'm like, wait, what with Garrett Neussmeier attitude?
- 34:20Speaker 2: Like m cockiness And he said He's like now he's like,
- 34:24Speaker 2: this isn't me saying this is just things in circles
- 34:26Speaker 2: and he's a former GM. I was like, that's the
- 34:28Speaker 2: wildest blank that I've ever heard in my life.
- 34:31Speaker 7: Guy that was so cocky that he wanted to play
- 34:34Speaker 7: here said for three years instead of leaving.
- 34:36Speaker 6: For my money.
- 34:37Speaker 2: I mean, all all the things that you're going to say,
- 34:39Speaker 2: I said in my head and at the radio, like
- 34:41Speaker 2: what sometimes they just be wild? Oh yeah, I mean.
- 34:48Speaker 2: But after I heard that, I went on the show
