Welcome to 70x80, the section of 7080 .it that
• 0:44
deepens the topics discussed on the portal. I'm
• 0:47
with the journalist Enzo Mauri, who introduces
• 0:49
today's topic. Good morning, today I'm talking
• 0:52
to you about a 70s formation. It's typical of
• 0:55
the carnival period, but also summer, to dust
• 0:58
off the classical musicals of the period, many
• 1:00
of which come from overseas, where this party
• 1:03
is heard in a particular way. In the 70s, however,
• 1:06
even Belgium did its part, thanks to the formation
• 1:08
of the The Chocolates were active between 1975
• 1:35
and 1981 and were created and produced by the
• 1:39
Belgians Marcel de Cuquelaire and Jean -Yves
• 1:42
Valloux, the same producer of Born to be Alive
• 1:44
and Patrick Hernandez. I didn't just cut my head,
• 1:54
I also cut my mouth. The pair of producers was
• 1:59
particularly active in the early 70s in Muscron,
• 2:02
Belgium, where he had founded the label Elver.
• 2:06
Marcel de Quiqueler had a record store while
• 2:09
Jeanine Volu organized concerts, including that
• 2:12
of Jimi Hendrix. My mother immediately took me
• 2:15
to the doctor. The doctor visited me and took
• 2:18
me to my mother. It's too small. And so I kept
• 2:24
my little tic. At the age of 5 or 6 years old,
• 2:28
I was playing with my electric train. I was doing
• 2:33
the capostazione. I had the whistle in my mouth.
• 2:37
My father arrives, more nervous than usual, and
• 2:40
says, plant it with that whistle. I got scared
• 2:43
and sent it away. In 1974, the Chocolates appeared
• 2:52
on the record market with the name of Chocolate
• 2:55
Boys and their version of El Bimbo, made famous
• 2:58
by the French group of Bimbo Jet, led by Claude
• 3:01
Morgan and Laurent Rossi. The single on the back
• 3:04
reported the song Brasilia Carnaval. In fischietto,
• 3:13
insomma, erano abbinate le cose. Anche lì la
• 3:18
mamma subito dal dottore. La signora dice, è
• 3:22
troppo piccolino, non ci può far niente. The
• 3:25
success came in 1975 when the newborn chocolates
• 3:29
published again their own Brasilia Carnaval,
• 3:32
written by Marcel de Cuqueleur and Dominique
• 3:34
Nepin with the voice of Jean -Luc Drian. The
• 3:37
homonymous album sold 5 million copies and according
• 3:40
to other sources more than 6, while the subsequent
• 3:41
Ritmo Tropical of 1976 almost a million and a
• 3:45
half. The formation of the Cioccolats, often
• 4:06
reasserted, saw the presence of some Brazilian
• 4:09
dancers and the Parisian singer Emmanuelle Vidal
• 4:12
de Fonseca, together with the brothers Gino and
• 4:14
Salvatore Acquaviva. On the way to success for
• 4:17
their third album, The Kings of Club, entered
• 4:19
the ranking also in the USA, the Cioccolats appeared
• 4:22
in 1977 as regular guests of Nonstop, Rai broadcast,
• 4:27
considered the opening of comic books. Thanks
• 4:30
to the program they became famous also in Italy.
• 4:33
My usual guitar lesson. All of a sudden, a string
• 4:47
of the guitar jumped. I had my mouth open. Directed
• 4:54
by Enzo Trapani, Nonstop contributed to the launch,
• 4:57
among many, of the trio La Smorfia, or Massimo
• 5:00
Truisi, Lello Arena, Enzo De Caro and Carlo Verdone.
• 5:03
Thanks to Enzo Mauri for the modern theme. See
