- 0:16Speaker 1: Thanks, sure, will, And you got that jacket on't keep
- 0:19Speaker 1: it with you because it ain't gonna get much warmer.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It might dip down a little cooler, but it's gonna
- 0:23Speaker 1: be about this for the hide to day. Yeah.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I mean, as much as I love to talk to strangers,
- 0:27Speaker 2: I don't want to have to meet somebody because of
- 0:28Speaker 2: a car accident.
- 0:29Speaker 1: No, No, let's.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Tried good today it is on Thursday, February fifth. Good morning, Megan,
- 0:35Speaker 2: Good morning, Froggy, Good morning, John, morning Frog. So how
- 0:38Speaker 2: was dinner last night?
- 0:38Speaker 3: Meghan? What'd you have?
- 0:40Speaker 4: It was good?
- 0:41Speaker 5: I had leftover chili and I O, it's not rotten.
- 0:46Speaker 5: It was so good you you.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Fixed the meat and chili that had been sitting outside
- 0:50Speaker 2: your front door for four hours.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Well, the hamburger meat was though you said it was
- 0:55Speaker 1: cold when you were cool.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yea, it was in the thirties.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Yes it was cold, okay, yeah, but yes I did
- 1:01Speaker 5: eat that again, what about you, John?
- 1:04Speaker 2: We went to Carabos, dude, Carabas is top five one
- 1:08Speaker 2: of my favorite place.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Chicken marsala at Carabas was one of my top five
- 1:11Speaker 1: dishes at any eat somewhere place.
- 1:13Speaker 2: And you did the bread dip, right, they make a
- 1:15Speaker 2: little dish with the oil and have you had it?
- 1:18Speaker 4: No, I haven't been. I think I've only been to
- 1:20Speaker 4: Crabas once years and years ago.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It's our go to. We went one time, went warm
- 1:25Speaker 1: when they bring it to the table. When they first opened,
- 1:27Speaker 1: they opened for lunch because we did a breast cancer
- 1:30Speaker 1: fundraiser one time and had lunch at Carabas, and they offered, like,
- 1:33Speaker 1: you know, three things on the menus before they were
- 1:35Speaker 1: opened for lunch, right when they opened it four and
- 1:38Speaker 1: so you had to we chose from one or three things.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And so I had chicken marsalad and it was a
- 1:42Speaker 1: radio thing. So my wife didn't go with me, and
- 1:45Speaker 1: so we ended up going to Carabas for her birthday.
- 1:47Speaker 1: When they first opened and she wanted the mezzalunas or something,
- 1:51Speaker 1: and I'm like, I'm getting chicken marsala because I had
- 1:53Speaker 1: that and it was so good. I'm going to hit
- 1:54Speaker 1: it again. Well, my wife said, and I said, oh, yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 1: you want to try this, and so she tried it
- 1:58Speaker 1: and she went, gimme, gimme that. Yeah, she is my birthday.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I'm going to eat your food, you know. So we
- 2:03Speaker 1: switched plates and she never turned back birthdays there. I've
- 2:07Speaker 1: been there for so many birthdays. I know their birthday song.
- 2:09Speaker 3: You do, I do?
- 2:10Speaker 4: What is it?
- 2:11Speaker 2: It's happy happy birthday, May all your dreams come true.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Happy happy birthday from Corrabas to you. Yeah, I'm telling
- 2:17Speaker 2: you I've been there so many birthdays. When you said that,
- 2:21Speaker 2: I'm like, wait a second, I've been there for so
- 2:23Speaker 2: many birthdays.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Funny, that is funny. Oh my gosh, what did you.
- 2:26Speaker 1: End up doing last night?
- 2:27Speaker 3: What did mean? I'm sitting here thinking what did we
- 2:29Speaker 3: do for?
- 2:29Speaker 6: Oh?
- 2:29Speaker 3: I made fish, saying I don't like the same fish.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Or she had salmon, or as I always say, the
- 2:36Speaker 2: little lady will have the salmon.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I made her salmon, and I made the telapia. It
- 2:42Speaker 3: was good. And then I made.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Honey cilantro lime rice. Look at you sounds it was
- 2:50Speaker 2: so good. So you take the cilantro lime rice, but
- 2:52Speaker 2: fish on top of it.
- 2:53Speaker 3: That was our dinner.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And it looks like you could have paid ninety dollars
- 2:55Speaker 1: for it. Somewhere I sold a sensible dinner.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Dang, you're cooking like Emerald up in your house.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Know about that. I use an air fire, but hey,
- 3:01Speaker 1: it all works. Who knows what Emerald uses. He might
- 3:04Speaker 1: use one too.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it was, it was. It was a good night.
- 3:07Speaker 2: But it's great, Big Daddy. We're gonna talk to George Burge.
- 3:09Speaker 2: He's got a brand new song coming out. We're gonna
- 3:11Speaker 2: play it in just a few minutes exactly, George Burge
- 3:14Speaker 2: and Luke Bryan. And it's such a great story on
- 3:16Speaker 2: how George got Luke Bryan to be on his song. Because,
- 3:20Speaker 2: let's be honest, Luke Bryan probably one of the biggest superstars.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Of our format in the last twenty years, I'm saying
- 3:26Speaker 1: the twenty first century, he's right up there with all
- 3:28Speaker 1: of them.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah, doing American and I'll doing pretty much everything. Yeah,
- 3:31Speaker 2: the farm tour, his own touring. Every time he comes
- 3:34Speaker 2: to here sells out, So Luke's a massive superstar and.
- 3:37Speaker 1: George is up and coming only has a few number
- 3:40Speaker 1: one hits.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I got a few number one already and he
- 3:43Speaker 2: decides to shoot his shot, so he'll tell us the
- 3:44Speaker 2: story on exactly how that went down. But brand new
- 3:47Speaker 2: song coming out. I love this new song. I think
- 3:49Speaker 2: he's George's best song there.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Fun, fun, fun song.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Yeah, it is a fun song.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Love this new song. So we'll have that coming up
- 3:53Speaker 2: for you. Lots going on today. Let's it's also National
- 3:57Speaker 2: Shower with a Friend Day. We got to get to
- 4:00Speaker 2: the bottom of that.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I consider you all my friends, but no thanks, okay,
- 4:04Speaker 1: just letting you know.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I've got a tiny.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Somebody's gonna be out of the water and it's gonna
- 4:14Speaker 2: be cold, so yeah, yeah I don't have enough someone else, Yeah, exactly.
- 4:18Speaker 2: We'll get into that too. Let's get it to Megan
- 4:20Speaker 2: and You're three things going.
- 4:22Speaker 1: On in Jackson. What's up?
- 4:23Speaker 5: Yeah, PepsiCo they're lowering their product prices. So this means
- 4:27Speaker 5: like leys Dorito's, Cheetos, all of those fun chip snacks
- 4:30Speaker 5: that we love. Yeah, they're all going to be marked
- 4:37Speaker 5: down before long.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Which is really cool.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Because before the Super Bowl it's perfect. Yeah, it is perfect.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Disney has a new park CEO.
- 4:44Speaker 5: His name's josh A Mario, and they're focusing on growing
- 4:48Speaker 5: streaming and sports, which which I thought was really interesting
- 4:52Speaker 5: because I always forget that Disney owns.
- 4:54Speaker 3: ESPN ad C.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Yeah, so I don't know. Maybe he could lower prices
- 4:59Speaker 5: on some of the park work stuff too. For families,
- 5:01Speaker 5: I know they've been while you're at it.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a new nonprofit.
- 5:05Speaker 5: Well they're not new, they're just new to the area
- 5:07Speaker 5: that helps with home repairs for veterans.
- 5:09Speaker 4: They're coming to town.
- 5:11Speaker 5: It's called Rebuilding Together Greater Florida, and they're starting Jacksonville
- 5:14Speaker 5: projects on June thirtieth.
- 5:16Speaker 4: That's three things you need to know.
- 5:17Speaker 2: All right, let's get our first caller of the day,
- 5:19Speaker 2: call us right now and tell us why you up
- 5:21Speaker 2: nine oh four, three eight, eight thirty six ninety nine.
- 5:24Speaker 3: But while you do that, we will check you.
- 5:26Speaker 1: George Burge and Luke Brian. We're gonna be talking to
- 5:28Speaker 1: George next hour.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Yeah, and he's gonna tell us about him and Luke
- 5:33Speaker 5: and how all this came to be.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Very cool. It's the big show with Froggy John and
- 5:37Speaker 1: Megan and Sabrina. Why are you up?
- 5:38Speaker 6: Well, it's my work friend's birthday and I have to
- 5:43Speaker 6: get up extra early so I can go in the
- 5:45Speaker 6: office and decorate her office because she's the Big four.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Oh today, Ah, that's exciting.
- 5:51Speaker 6: No, it ain't, because I mean I like her a bit.
- 5:54Speaker 4: But you'll have fun today because it's her birthday.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Megan did that for me last Thursday. She was here
- 5:59Speaker 1: before I was, which is rare because she decorated this
- 6:03Speaker 1: room from my birthday.
- 6:04Speaker 4: The whole time. I'm not gonna lie. I was so paranoid.
- 6:06Speaker 5: I shut the blinds over here and I shut this
- 6:08Speaker 5: door because.
- 6:09Speaker 4: I was like, I need a warning.
- 6:10Speaker 5: He's gonna John's gonna walk in and I'm gonna be
- 6:13Speaker 5: trying to hang a figiata from the raptors.
- 6:18Speaker 1: It was so sweet. I was so touched that she
- 6:20Speaker 1: was here and decorated. So your friend will be doing
- 6:22Speaker 1: the same. Sabrine and some wet streets to be extra
- 6:25Speaker 1: careful out there while we get rolling on Thursday.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah, no Thursday on a National weather Person's Day. Yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 2: talked about that. But it's also I do want to
- 6:33Speaker 2: get more into this National Shower with a Friend Day.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I don't understand, Like, how does this happen? Like there
- 6:37Speaker 2: are so many other things that we could recognize on
- 6:40Speaker 2: days and give day. It was only three hundred and
- 6:41Speaker 2: sixty five days of.
- 6:42Speaker 1: The year, but there's like five day, five things national
- 6:45Speaker 1: days every day.
- 6:46Speaker 3: So you know, like who is the National Shower with
- 6:48Speaker 3: a Friend Council. That's like, yeah, we gotta make this
- 6:50Speaker 3: a day.
- 6:50Speaker 1: All you gotta do is send it in and if
- 6:52Speaker 1: they approve it, you got it. That's that's how simple
- 6:54Speaker 1: it is.
- 6:55Speaker 5: It's stupid stupid, I mean, because if you want a
- 6:57Speaker 5: shower with your friend, you could do it any day
- 6:59Speaker 5: you want it, you.
- 7:00Speaker 4: To wait till today?
- 7:00Speaker 1: We exactly. They just want to recognize those who do.
- 7:03Speaker 3: But it's.
- 7:06Speaker 4: With a friend.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So goopers like us make up and send them into
- 7:10Speaker 1: the National Day people, right, and they go, that sounds good.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Let's give it them a day so anyone can submit
- 7:15Speaker 4: for it.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Yes, this is nothing official. It's like the Hollywood Walk
- 7:19Speaker 1: of Fame. All you got to do is have thirty
- 7:20Speaker 1: five grand and enough people to say, yeah, let's give
- 7:23Speaker 1: him a star.
- 7:24Speaker 3: What would you submit for if you could have your
- 7:25Speaker 3: own day?
- 7:26Speaker 5: What would it be probably national w q I K Day, Okay, show.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Day or nap Day. Nap day, yea exist, national Let's
- 7:37Speaker 1: take a nap day.
- 7:38Speaker 2: It should be every day. Yeah, I would have like
- 7:40Speaker 2: National Tim Tebow Day. There you go, National Tim Tbow
- 7:44Speaker 2: Day like that, And how would you celebrate it. It would
- 7:46Speaker 2: be a day of service, like taking care of other people,
- 7:47Speaker 2: doing something for somebody else.
- 7:49Speaker 4: That's actually really sweet.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Pretty much what Tim does that is I like that.
- 7:52Speaker 5: I thought you were going to say, like we're going
- 7:54Speaker 5: to watch football all day long.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Oh, that would be a good day too.
- 7:56Speaker 1: That's called basically most of his life.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all Saturday and Sunday from September to February.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Ask the NFL. They'll put a game on every day
- 8:07Speaker 3: of the week. They don't even care what day anymore.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Yeah, they do not care.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Shower with a friend day, shower with a friend day.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I don't like showering with my spouse day. You know
- 8:15Speaker 1: even that because really, once again, if you're if you're
- 8:18Speaker 1: sharing a shower, there's not enough water to be the
- 8:20Speaker 1: one's going to be cold. Somebody's cool, somebody's cold.
- 8:22Speaker 3: You see.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I was because sometimes I do this. They get bored
- 8:25Speaker 2: and look on like Realtor and Zillow. There are some
- 8:28Speaker 2: showers that have like two separate shower heads.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yes, that's true.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah, if you got one of them, ye, then you
- 8:33Speaker 2: could do the shower with a friend shower. You can
- 8:34Speaker 2: bring your neighbor over if you want to be nice
- 8:36Speaker 2: and shower. That's what you want to do. However, at
- 8:39Speaker 2: my house, we got one shower head and I ain't
- 8:42Speaker 2: getting out of the water because it's too cold.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I'm not sure.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Yeah, we've had to shower.
- 8:46Speaker 5: We've had to combine showers in my house lately because
- 8:50Speaker 5: all my long hair has clogged up the drain and
- 8:53Speaker 5: we keep forgetting to get a snake or right now.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Okay, so it's like strip but zip it strip Those
- 8:57Speaker 1: things work.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I need to get that.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Yeah, but you have to shower together otherwise you have
- 9:02Speaker 5: to stand in a puddle.
- 9:03Speaker 3: It's not cleaning out that drain. No, he knows what
- 9:06Speaker 3: he's doing.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Really, Yes, I don't want to do it though.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Shower that's shower, right exactly.
- 9:11Speaker 3: You don't want to do that.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 2: So that's getting to Megan's Nashville Minutes of what is
- 9:15Speaker 2: going on in country music?
- 9:16Speaker 5: News, George ViRGE and Luke Bryan their new song Ride
- 9:20Speaker 5: Ride Ride.
- 9:21Speaker 1: She's stunned that Ali might be doing that on purpose.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Is I can shower with my girlfriend or shower alone?
- 9:26Speaker 2: Yephrogg drain's claw yet, darn gotta shower with my girlfriend again.
- 9:29Speaker 5: If only he wasn't a whole foot taller than me.
- 9:32Speaker 5: The showerhead keeps getting turned upwards.
- 9:34Speaker 1: For this guy, I don't get any water at all.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Yes, well for him too, He's got all the water first.
- 9:39Speaker 1: He's taking a sponge bath in the shower right.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Ride George Burge Lubrian their new song debuting today, and
- 9:46Speaker 5: we're talking to George here in just a couple of minutes.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Hardy said that there have been talks of more collapse
- 9:51Speaker 5: like MacArthur for him, Morgan Wallen, Eric Church and Tim McGraw.
- 9:56Speaker 4: It's kind of.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Feeling like a highwayman situation. And I did yeah, so
- 10:01Speaker 5: maybe they'll be able to find time. Jellyroll is giving
- 10:03Speaker 5: his Grammy to the Nashville Juvenile Detention Center that he
- 10:07Speaker 5: spent a lot of time in his teens.
- 10:09Speaker 4: He wants to give the kids some inspiration.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Off of that was awesome, super cool, that's what's happened
- 10:14Speaker 5: in Meghan's music city minute.
- 10:16Speaker 3: All right, we have some slick roads out there.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Let's get another check on the big show with Froggy,
- 10:20Speaker 1: John and Meghan. Look, fun day. We got George Bird's
- 10:23Speaker 1: We're gonna call us a little after seven o'clock. We're
- 10:25Speaker 1: playing the brand new song. Just played it at six o'clock.
- 10:27Speaker 1: It's so good, it is so good. So George is
- 10:29Speaker 1: gonna call us. We've got the pop quiz. We're still
- 10:32Speaker 1: going to have all the normal fun and games and
- 10:34Speaker 1: bonus of George Birds hanging out with us.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Careful saying bonus, I got a good fun story here.
- 10:39Speaker 2: What so do you eat honey?
- 10:41Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 10:42Speaker 3: Do you eat honey?
- 10:43Speaker 4: What's wrong with that?
- 10:45Speaker 6: Love?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Honey? Way?
- 10:46Speaker 3: Do you hear that story?
- 10:48Speaker 1: Else? Love? Honey?
- 10:49Speaker 3: You joozled honey? On your say your morning cereal? This morning.
- 10:52Speaker 2: You might have an interesting day at the office if
- 10:54Speaker 2: you got any of this bad honey. No, there is
- 10:56Speaker 2: honey being recalled because it has sealis in it.
- 11:03Speaker 4: What is that?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Cialis is kind of like viagra.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yes, it's just another name. It's another brand of Viagara. No, yes,
- 11:11Speaker 2: it says a company. It's made by a company Virginia
- 11:15Speaker 2: called Acro and they claim especially formulated honey that gives
- 11:19Speaker 2: you more energy.
- 11:20Speaker 3: But this one's gonna give you a little bit too
- 11:21Speaker 3: much energy.
- 11:22Speaker 5: The honey that gives you energy, I know that kind. Yes,
- 11:26Speaker 5: they have it a degas station, those sticks the energy honey.
- 11:31Speaker 3: It's gonna give you another stick.
- 11:33Speaker 2: The FDA tested samples and found a drug called to
- 11:36Speaker 2: dallaphil is the active ingredient in sialis.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Man.
- 11:40Speaker 2: There's too much to dallaphil in this honey, and they've
- 11:44Speaker 2: had to recall it.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Uh.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Oh, So you.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Had some honey on your cereal this morning and you
- 11:50Speaker 2: have an interesting day at the office.
- 11:53Speaker 1: With Country ninety nine one wqi K The Big Show
- 11:56Speaker 1: with Frankie, John and Megan, we go to Alabama for
- 11:59Speaker 1: the Floridian. Yeah, follow me here. Alabama police officer pulled
- 12:03Speaker 1: over a driver, a traffic violation guy from Florida. Okay,
- 12:09Speaker 1: they and they were getting him just for a traffic violation.
- 12:11Speaker 1: He wasn't getting for speeding. He pulled him over, easy
- 12:14Speaker 1: enough to take on your way. Yeah, next thne yeah,
- 12:16Speaker 1: next thing you know. Eighty gallons of moonshine, Oh, eighty
- 12:20Speaker 1: gallons of Moonshine and they were in plain view. He
- 12:23Speaker 1: wasn't even trying to conceal him.
- 12:25Speaker 3: He's running moonshine through Alabama.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Don't you know you got to go to speed limit
- 12:29Speaker 1: when you're running shine through Alabama.
- 12:31Speaker 2: At least he was close to his destination because you
- 12:33Speaker 2: know that's where he was going.
- 12:34Speaker 1: It is probably great to be with you. Hey, let's
- 12:36Speaker 1: get your set up right now. If you want to
- 12:38Speaker 1: play the Pop Quiz for Disney on Ice tickets, we
- 12:40Speaker 1: got a four pack up for grabs, so we'll take
- 12:43Speaker 1: callers nine and ten at nine oh four three at
- 12:45Speaker 1: eight thirty six ninety nine, and we'll get you all
- 12:48Speaker 1: fixed up. We got a special guest here. It's the
- 12:50Speaker 1: Big Show with Froggy, John and Megan. We've been playing
- 12:53Speaker 1: the new song since midnight tonight, every hour, and we're
- 12:56Speaker 1: gonna play it again, but we're gonna talk to the
- 12:58Speaker 1: guy who hand in writing it and who also sings it,
- 13:02Speaker 1: George Burch. George Burch, listen first, let me tell you
- 13:06Speaker 1: we've been listening to the song heard samples of it
- 13:08Speaker 1: for about a week now and it has ingrained in
- 13:11Speaker 1: my head.
- 13:12Speaker 6: I think that's the hope. I think we got a
- 13:14Speaker 6: big one on board here, and I think it's one
- 13:17Speaker 6: that we can already see the crowd is going to
- 13:20Speaker 6: be singing back in a big way.
- 13:21Speaker 2: So George, tell us a little bit about how this
- 13:24Speaker 2: came to happen, because I know you wrote the song
- 13:26Speaker 2: with Tyler Hubbard, but then how do you end up
- 13:28Speaker 2: with Luke Bryant on this song.
- 13:30Speaker 6: Yeah, So, Tyler and I had been friends for a while,
- 13:33Speaker 6: and it's no secret that he's a Hall of Fame
- 13:36Speaker 6: level songwriter, has written some of the biggest songs in
- 13:38Speaker 6: the last couple of decades, and I'd had this idea
- 13:42Speaker 6: for a while. My dad grew up watching John Wayne
- 13:44Speaker 6: movies and my favorite John Wayne quote is real courage
- 13:48Speaker 6: is being scared to ride, but saddling up anyways. And
- 13:50Speaker 6: I had this idea of this older cowboy kind of
- 13:53Speaker 6: giving a guy that's new to the show some advice.
- 13:55Speaker 6: And I brought it into Tyler and we wrote it
- 13:57Speaker 6: together and we instantly knew it was special. In the
- 13:59Speaker 6: original version had Tyler featuring on it, but as y'all
- 14:03Speaker 6: can imagine, getting two artist schedules to line up with
- 14:07Speaker 6: singles and recording songs is borderline impossible. And meanwhile, I
- 14:11Speaker 6: got invited on tour with Luke Bryan, and he had
- 14:14Speaker 6: become like a big brother to me and a really
- 14:16Speaker 6: close friend and started to almost assume the role of
- 14:19Speaker 6: like that you know mentor that's in the song to me.
- 14:24Speaker 6: And in the back of my mind I started thinking about, man,
- 14:26Speaker 6: he would would sound incredible on this and and so
- 14:29Speaker 6: I called Tyler. I was like, hey, man, what would
- 14:30Speaker 6: you think about Luke featuring on it? And Tyler was
- 14:33Speaker 6: super stoked on it. He's he's a great friend, and
- 14:35Speaker 6: he's like, man, I think he would be perfect for
- 14:37Speaker 6: this song, and I want what's best for you, and
- 14:39Speaker 6: I think it'd be big for all of us. So
- 14:42Speaker 6: that night Luke had invited me on his bus, just
- 14:45Speaker 6: hanging and just kind of by luck or happenstance. Luke
- 14:49Speaker 6: loves to make people squirm a little bit, and so
- 14:51Speaker 6: we were on his bus and he was like, he
- 14:53Speaker 6: was like, hey, George, plug in your phone and play
- 14:55Speaker 6: me a song I've never heard before, which I mean,
- 14:59Speaker 6: you could probably hear my heart beating in my chest,
- 15:01Speaker 6: all right, sure, But I plugged in my phone to
- 15:05Speaker 6: his bluetooth on the bus and I press play and
- 15:08Speaker 6: he listened for like three minutes with his eyes closed,
- 15:11Speaker 6: and so I couldn't tell it's just going good and
- 15:14Speaker 6: my bombing this like what's going on?
- 15:17Speaker 3: And you can't say exactly what Luke said, but you
- 15:21Speaker 3: can give us.
- 15:21Speaker 6: Close to exactly. You're right. So at the end he
- 15:26Speaker 6: stands up and he slams the wall. I'll abbreviate it
- 15:29Speaker 6: since we're on the air, but he says, play that
- 15:31Speaker 6: MF for again. That's how I had a pretty good idea.
- 15:37Speaker 6: He was into the song, and so I kind of
- 15:39Speaker 6: let it be that night and the next day I
- 15:42Speaker 6: sent him a text message and I was like, hey, man,
- 15:44Speaker 6: I know that the stars would have to align and
- 15:46Speaker 6: have to work for your schedule, but if there's any way,
- 15:49Speaker 6: I think you would sound amazing featuring on this. And
- 15:51Speaker 6: he hit me back like three minutes later and was
- 15:54Speaker 6: like I'm in. And so I was out of my
- 15:57Speaker 6: mind excited and felt like all the stars had aligned.
- 15:59Speaker 6: And then I didn't hear from Luke for like a month.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Crap, What did I do?
- 16:06Speaker 6: Yeah? But funny enough, Froggy and I were actually playing
- 16:10Speaker 6: golf with Jordan Davis and I was asking Jordan about
- 16:15Speaker 6: it and Jordan told me he was like man when
- 16:18Speaker 6: we did by Dirt, same exact thing happened, he said yes,
- 16:21Speaker 6: And then I didn't hear from him for almost two months,
- 16:23Speaker 6: and then one day I just got an email with
- 16:25Speaker 6: a song in my inbox, and sure enough, about a
- 16:28Speaker 6: week later, I got the song from Luke and it
- 16:30Speaker 6: was was very exciting.
- 16:32Speaker 1: So we are so excited to be playing it every hour.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And George, if you got a few more minutes, we'd
- 16:36Speaker 1: love to talk to you some more about the song,
- 16:38Speaker 1: about your appearance here coming up very soon more with
- 16:42Speaker 1: George Burge and his brand new song. We're going to
- 16:44Speaker 1: play that brand newman, if you haven't heard it yet,
- 16:46Speaker 1: Ride Ride Ride with Luke Bryan. Just a few minutes
- 16:48Speaker 1: with Country ninety nine. Talk to our buddy George Burge
- 16:51Speaker 1: who has the brand new song Ride Ride Ride, which
- 16:53Speaker 1: we are about to play if you haven't heard it yet.
- 16:56Speaker 1: We got the world premiere here with ninety nine one
- 16:58Speaker 1: w Q y K. We were talking about when you
- 17:00Speaker 1: had written that song and send it to Luke Bryan.
- 17:03Speaker 2: It's incredible. I mean, how nervous were you during that
- 17:05Speaker 2: three minute period? You send the text like, hey, song
- 17:08Speaker 2: I played yet I want you to be on it.
- 17:10Speaker 2: How nervous were you was asked asking a girl, the
- 17:12Speaker 2: hottest girl in school to.
- 17:14Speaker 6: Prompt Oh, it was insane.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I was.
- 17:16Speaker 6: It's funny. I was on the bus home from tour
- 17:19Speaker 6: with my band and we were in the front lounge
- 17:21Speaker 6: and they're like, I was telling him how Luke reacted
- 17:23Speaker 6: to the song, and they're like, oh, you got to
- 17:24Speaker 6: ask him to do it, You got to ask him
- 17:25Speaker 6: to do it. I was like, guys, I don't won't
- 17:27Speaker 6: be that guy. I'm not going to ask him to
- 17:28Speaker 6: do it with me. I'm not going to ask him
- 17:30Speaker 6: to be on the song. The day after, I played
- 17:31Speaker 6: it for him and then I went back to my
- 17:33Speaker 6: room in the back of the bus, and about five
- 17:35Speaker 6: minutes later I came back to the front lounge and
- 17:36Speaker 6: I was like, I'm doing it.
- 17:40Speaker 1: That's great. And this is what's interesting I think to
- 17:43Speaker 1: listeners is that this is a guy who's got his
- 17:45Speaker 1: own great track record right now, well number one hits
- 17:48Speaker 1: and George Birch, and then he's anxious to ask somebody
- 17:50Speaker 1: else to sing on one of his hits.
- 17:52Speaker 2: It is, and Luke goes honest, Luke Duet's gonna have
- 17:55Speaker 2: a pretty good track record. Let's see, we got by Dirt,
- 17:57Speaker 2: we got the song with Karen Fairchild, I got the
- 18:00Speaker 2: song with Florida Georgia Lines. I mean, you've got a
- 18:02Speaker 2: pretty good track record to go on here.
- 18:05Speaker 6: There are definitely some big ones that have come before.
- 18:07Speaker 6: And he's just Luke And he'll say this to you too,
- 18:12Speaker 6: like he chooses his duets not by the artists, but
- 18:14Speaker 6: buy the songs, and the song has to really mean
- 18:17Speaker 6: something to him. And so for him to jump on
- 18:19Speaker 6: this one, he's very picky about the duets he did,
- 18:22Speaker 6: and I think that's why I was so nervous about it,
- 18:25Speaker 6: is like I wanted it to stack up to the
- 18:27Speaker 6: epic stuff that he's done in the past. And he's
- 18:30Speaker 6: beyond excited about it. He texts me once a week
- 18:32Speaker 6: to check in, how we look in, when's it coming out,
- 18:34Speaker 6: when's it going to radio? So he's very excited about
- 18:37Speaker 6: it and has just been a great friend through all
- 18:39Speaker 6: of it.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Now we're going to be able to get to see
- 18:41Speaker 1: you sing that thing soon.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Yeah, Clay County Fair I cannot wait. I've heard great
- 18:46Speaker 6: things about Clay County Fair by the way, So we'll.
- 18:48Speaker 1: All down there and play it.
- 18:50Speaker 6: That's what I hear, and I mean, that's gonna be,
- 18:53Speaker 6: you know, one of the first few times that we've
- 18:55Speaker 6: gotten to play it. But we've got We've been working
- 18:57Speaker 6: all winter on a new headlining it, and so we
- 19:00Speaker 6: got a bunch of new music to come play, including
- 19:02Speaker 6: that song. And I think that show is gonna be
- 19:05Speaker 6: one for the record books for sure.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So Saturday night, April fourth, it is a Country ninety
- 19:09Speaker 2: nine one w q I k night at the Clay
- 19:11Speaker 2: County Fair and we're gonna have George Birds there.
- 19:13Speaker 3: So I'm telling you it's gonna be a Saturday night.
- 19:15Speaker 3: You remember, you don't.
- 19:16Speaker 6: Want to miss that. I'll tell you. I'll tell you
- 19:18Speaker 6: right now, you don't want to miss that.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Now, George.
- 19:20Speaker 2: I'm looking at the weather today in Nashville and it
- 19:23Speaker 2: says it's going to be in the thirties. I'm guessing
- 19:25Speaker 2: there's no golf on the plans for today.
- 19:27Speaker 6: Well, I do have a couple of simulators that I
- 19:31Speaker 6: can go sneak into, but if there's any any golf,
- 19:33Speaker 6: it's going to be indoors. And and really this is
- 19:36Speaker 6: a heat wave for us. We've been stuck in like
- 19:38Speaker 6: I mean I had. I'm from Texas, I live in
- 19:41Speaker 6: Nashville now, but we had our first like negative temperatures
- 19:43Speaker 6: out here. And let me just tell y'all, I am
- 19:46Speaker 6: not cut out for that life.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I agree, like Froggy and John gets below seventy here
- 19:52Speaker 1: if Proby's like.
- 19:58Speaker 6: No chance. And I don't even own gloves or like
- 20:01Speaker 6: a beanie or anything like that. And so I went
- 20:03Speaker 6: outside and I literally felt like I could snap my
- 20:06Speaker 6: ear off of my head.
- 20:07Speaker 3: It was so coldly. We don't have to play golf?
- 20:12Speaker 3: Is that it'll be warmer next week? Right, we'll do that?
- 20:14Speaker 6: Well, you know what I say exactly.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I'm proud of you, George. I'm proud to call your friend.
- 20:18Speaker 2: You're a good man. I enjoy spending time with you.
- 20:22Speaker 2: But I'm excited for this song. You got a big
- 20:24Speaker 2: one on your hands here, and we're honored to play.
- 20:25Speaker 2: We're gonna play it every single hour today. So you
- 20:28Speaker 2: know what, why don't you, George Burge, why don't you
- 20:30Speaker 2: intro your new song for.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Us right here?
- 20:33Speaker 6: I couldn't be more fired of to do this. Hey, y'all,
- 20:36Speaker 6: this is George Burge, and this is.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Always seem to like the movies he's in. He does
- 20:40Speaker 1: interesting work. Actor Christian Bale. You know he was the Batman.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I like, right, yeah, Badmans, The Dark Knight. How old
- 20:48Speaker 1: is Christian Bale? Jason fifty one, Kelly, older and younger.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Younger.
- 20:55Speaker 1: You know, it was such a great guest by Jason.
- 20:58Speaker 1: It made it tough. He's older two years old. Jason
- 21:01Speaker 1: gets that point. That's that's how this game works. You
- 21:04Speaker 1: get close to that bull's eye. It makes it tough
- 21:06Speaker 1: for the next person. Good job, Jason. All right, Kelly,
- 21:10Speaker 1: you get this question. First. Super Bowl is Sunday. A
- 21:16Speaker 1: survey recent survey suggests that what percentage of Americans do
- 21:20Speaker 1: not watch the Super Bowl? What percentage of Americans do
- 21:24Speaker 1: not watch the Super Bowl? Kelly? For Jason, is that
- 21:31Speaker 1: number high or lower? Fire? You know the actual number
- 21:36Speaker 1: is lower twenty three twenty three percent. Dang will not
- 21:41Speaker 1: be watching? What do they watch? Nothing?
- 21:44Speaker 3: The dog? Maybe they watched the Puppy Bowl?
- 21:49Speaker 1: Reruns of How I Met Your Mother. Yeah, I will
- 21:53Speaker 1: be watching a halftime show, but I'll watch the game.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I hear you. All Right, we got to tie this
- 21:57Speaker 1: time for the tie breaker, here we go. If you
- 21:59Speaker 1: know the answer to the question, shout your name one
- 22:04Speaker 1: of our country music superstars in what two states? I'll
- 22:08Speaker 1: give you a multiple choice. In what two states did
- 22:11Speaker 1: Jason al Dean grow up? Was it Florida and Georgia
- 22:16Speaker 1: or Alabama and Tennessee?
- 22:18Speaker 3: Jason Jason, Alabama and Tennessee.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I am sorry, the answer is Florida and Georgia. In fact,
- 22:25Speaker 1: he lived here for a short period of time, lived
- 22:28Speaker 1: in Orlando a lot, and of course most of the
- 22:30Speaker 1: time in Macon, Georgia. Jason with Froggie John and Megan Oh.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I had an email from Kathy for on Tuesday, because
- 22:36Speaker 1: Monday was Groundhog Day, and she said the Saint Augustine
- 22:39Speaker 1: Lighthouse sawids shadows.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Six more weeks of the sunshine breaking for that. That's
- 22:43Speaker 2: all I'm saying. I'm all about that. Gonna be a
- 22:45Speaker 2: little bit cooler today, pretty chilly again tonight down into
- 22:48Speaker 2: the thirties, but then the warm up starts and as
- 22:52Speaker 2: we're looking at this ten day forecast, every day gets
- 22:54Speaker 2: warmer from now until next Friday.
- 22:55Speaker 3: We'll see eighty That's how we get to next Friday.
- 22:58Speaker 4: I can wing that feels like so far because it's
- 23:00Speaker 4: so cool.
- 23:01Speaker 1: That is my kind of winner. Yes, sir, I know
- 23:03Speaker 1: it is seventies.
- 23:04Speaker 2: And maybe in the little little kids we can do
- 23:06Speaker 2: fifty at night, fifty five that at night.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I could agree with that too.
- 23:10Speaker 3: My little little little firepit weather.
- 23:11Speaker 1: And exactly, and where some of those winter clothes you got?
- 23:14Speaker 3: Yep?
- 23:15Speaker 1: That one thing of winter clothes you got ten times? Yeah, yeah, exactly,
- 23:19Speaker 1: wash and wear man, I'm washing them wearing some of
- 23:21Speaker 1: this stuff, washing machines.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Getting over drives question, John, Yeah, how many true loves
- 23:27Speaker 2: do you have in your life right now?
- 23:31Speaker 6: You know?
- 23:33Speaker 2: How many things right now in your life are true loves?
- 23:38Speaker 2: Average adult outside of family, Well, no, that counts average
- 23:41Speaker 2: adult health. But family gets split like there's your partner
- 23:44Speaker 2: and there's okay, grandchildren.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Like gil grand grandkids kids. I guess six seven, Okay,
- 23:50Speaker 1: how many? I don't think I have anything inandamate that
- 23:53Speaker 1: I love. I mean, I love football, but not in
- 23:55Speaker 1: a true love way. Really yeah, because if something came up,
- 23:59Speaker 1: I would much, mother much much rather be with the
- 24:03Speaker 1: humans than be watching a game.
- 24:04Speaker 2: In a Florida State National championship game. Okay, well, maybe
- 24:08Speaker 2: see things change. Jaguars Jaguars Super Bowl. I'm choosing my
- 24:15Speaker 2: family over at football game. Wow, yeah, you can take
- 24:18Speaker 2: them to the game.
- 24:19Speaker 1: You know. Oh well, if that case, that's that's a
- 24:21Speaker 1: win win win win win win.
- 24:23Speaker 5: Probably might well, maybe it's about the same six okay,
- 24:28Speaker 5: all the pets.
- 24:30Speaker 2: A new survey suggests that people define the one includes
- 24:35Speaker 2: a lot more than just their partner, their true loves.
- 24:37Speaker 2: The average person has four true loves. Four What about you? Now,
- 24:41Speaker 2: I'll tell it. Well, I got my wife, my dog. Yeah,
- 24:46Speaker 2: there's only got one dog. Now I had two, but
- 24:47Speaker 2: I have one. No, my wife, my dog, my son. Okay,
- 24:51Speaker 2: not necessarily in that order, but definitely that those three.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I mean I thought my son ahead of my dog.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Obviously my best friend in the whole world. Uh where
- 24:59Speaker 2: I'm not gonna have what wife?
- 25:02Speaker 1: Son?
- 25:02Speaker 3: Well would be white for me first? I mean I
- 25:04Speaker 3: chose her. Okay, you hear it.
- 25:08Speaker 1: We didn't know.
- 25:11Speaker 3: To go off after wife's son, dog. It might be football,
- 25:14Speaker 3: might be my teams, the Bucks.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Well, yeah, if I could get out of my fan
- 25:17Speaker 1: when I get past the family, What is a true love,
- 25:21Speaker 1: I would say sports in general. I mean I do
- 25:22Speaker 1: enjoy watching sports, but I'll go I'll go up to
- 25:24Speaker 1: a little league game and watch people I don't know play.
- 25:27Speaker 2: These are people's top ten true loves. I'd love to
- 25:30Speaker 2: hear from me, what is your true love? If you've
- 25:32Speaker 2: got a true love that even maybe it's on this list,
- 25:34Speaker 2: maybe it's not nine oh four, three, eight, eight, thirty
- 25:36Speaker 2: six ninety nine.
- 25:38Speaker 1: So number ten an ex partner is a true love.
- 25:40Speaker 1: You're like, you know what, I love that person? Oh yeah,
- 25:43Speaker 1: all right, so that's number ten. Yeah, like my first
- 25:44Speaker 1: real girlfriend was one of those true love things you
- 25:46Speaker 1: know you're saying, you know.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Number nine vacation destination, place that you just love to go. Wow, okay,
- 25:52Speaker 2: it makes you feel special. Number eight A cat A cat,
- 25:57Speaker 2: just anyone.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I'm a cat. Somebody's cats.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Erg love for my count and you.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Said your animals.
- 26:03Speaker 6: Ye.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Number seven a home.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I'm happy. I'm happy with my home. But I don't
- 26:08Speaker 1: think it's.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Number six a football team.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Look at there, there we go. Number five a sibling, Okay, definitely.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Number four a best friend.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Yep, that's in my pool.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm thinking differently than from true love. So number
- 26:24Speaker 1: three a dog, Okay.
- 26:26Speaker 4: That should be number one.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I'm allergic to them.
- 26:28Speaker 3: I like the dog's number three and cat's number eight.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Cat. So much cat. I think that cats are wearing
- 26:35Speaker 1: that as a badge of honor. Number two a child, okay,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and then your spouse. And number one your partner, your partner,
- 26:42Speaker 1: which I agree, you choose that person. You do you
- 26:45Speaker 1: think about it in your entire life. Yep, your partner's
- 26:47Speaker 1: the one, and obviously your friends, but your partner's your person.
- 26:50Speaker 1: You choose it.
- 26:51Speaker 3: I want to spend every single day with you.
- 26:54Speaker 4: And a kid's kind of a toss up. You know,
- 26:55Speaker 4: you might a good one, might the battle.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Into this world? Can I take you out?
- 27:01Speaker 6: A lot of times?
- 27:01Speaker 3: It's your fault though, if your child is the way
- 27:03Speaker 3: they are, just remember that as a parent.
- 27:04Speaker 1: That's a lot to do with that.
- 27:06Speaker 2: That's some good advice if you've got a true love
- 27:08Speaker 2: that's not on that list, or maybe you just call
- 27:09Speaker 2: us nine oh four, three eight, eight thirty six ninety nine.
- 27:12Speaker 3: While you call, we'll get with Megan and what are
- 27:14Speaker 3: your three things we need to know? On this Jack's
- 27:17Speaker 3: Friday Eve as.
- 27:18Speaker 5: I like to call it, well, since I'm a veteran,
- 27:20Speaker 5: I like to talk about veteran organizations that are helping
- 27:23Speaker 5: out the community. There's a nonprofit that is coming to
- 27:26Speaker 5: town they're called Rebuilding Together Greater Florida and they're starting
- 27:31Speaker 5: Jacksonville projects for vets. June thirtieth, Disney's got a new
- 27:35Speaker 5: park CEO. And what was interesting to me is their
- 27:40Speaker 5: focus is on growing streaming and sports. But I forget
- 27:44Speaker 5: Disney owns ESPN, so I'm interested to see what that
- 27:48Speaker 5: looks like, how they're going to grow ESPN. PepsiCo is
- 27:51Speaker 5: lowering product prices, so Chips, Drado's, Cheetos, all those snacks
