- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's incredible and.
- 1:28Speaker 3: The Mambo Sauce.

- 1:44Speaker 2: ass tourist spot that shit's so corny.
- 1:47Speaker 1: But you know they sow.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Mumbo sauce and bottles at Target now so allegedly because
- 1:51Speaker 3: we don't go to Target.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I was about to say anyway, mister Luna, please
- 1:58Speaker 2: reintroduce yourself to the on y'all.
- 2:01Speaker 4: This is John Luna aka the Sound God aka Johnny

- 2:17Speaker 2: editing right there. Yeah, But as you see and as
- 2:21Speaker 2: you hear, folks, you know, this is a very special
- 2:24Speaker 2: episode because we have the whole fan fam minus Tatiana
- 2:27Speaker 2: King who is off on a very special mission. But
- 2:29Speaker 2: you know we're doing more of everyone will be here.
- 2:32Speaker 2: You know, we're having more group discressions, things to talk about.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Let everyone get in on it.
- 2:37Speaker 2: And like we said, since right now, Joel has got
- 2:39Speaker 2: a lot of new fans and haters.
- 2:42Speaker 1: You know, we figured we'd let them come on and
- 2:44Speaker 1: address everything.
- 2:45Speaker 2: So we'll get to that though, because first what we
- 2:48Speaker 2: have to talk about is the Spider Man Brand New
- 2:52Speaker 2: Day trailer number two. I want to say, I think
- 2:55Speaker 2: this is the first two number two.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Yeah, the buy tickets Now trailer.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I take his now tickets on sale now trailer is
- 3:02Speaker 2: dropped today and not much more was revealed in this
- 3:06Speaker 2: trailer than we haven't seen, but the internet is still
- 3:09Speaker 2: trying to piece together everything, and we're here to talk
- 3:13Speaker 2: about it and discuss it. So how did y'all feel
- 3:15Speaker 2: about it? I know, Joel you had a very specific
- 3:18Speaker 2: take on it. Then let's start with that.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it was just giving me. Let's explore white rage. Wow,
- 3:24Speaker 3: Peter's mad, Bruce is mad, whoever Sadie Sinkers and the
- 3:28Speaker 3: hood is mad. I'm like, okay, let's let's process our
- 3:32Speaker 3: white anger through this film.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I don't one black man and the trailers deal with
- 3:37Speaker 2: all these angry white people.
- 3:38Speaker 3: One black man is just He's the calmest one in
- 3:40Speaker 3: the trailer, just like we have to do whatever we
- 3:43Speaker 3: got to do with damage control.
- 3:45Speaker 2: And you know, the rumor is that Keith David is
- 3:48Speaker 2: playing a very specific character as well, which would also
- 3:51Speaker 2: mean another black man is dealing with you know, white
- 3:54Speaker 2: rage and anger.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I didn't hear that. I didn't know that Keith David was.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Is it actually Keith David or just his voice?
- 4:00Speaker 2: You know, well, Keith David's voice is in the first trailer.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Their voice is not in this trailer. Because the rumor
- 4:05Speaker 2: is that Keith David is playing Professor X. Oh oh, yeah,
- 4:11Speaker 2: that's the rumor that that is the rumor used to me.
- 4:14Speaker 2: That is one of the rumors out there that keep
- 4:16Speaker 2: David's playing Professor X. Because the other rumor that would
- 4:20Speaker 2: coincide with this is that Sadie's mystery character is the
- 4:24Speaker 2: one and only Jean Gray of the X Men, or
- 4:28Speaker 2: just Jean Gray at this point in the Marvel universe.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I just don't I don't see it for Sadie like that,
- 4:34Speaker 3: Like don't mind her as an actress, you know, like
- 4:37Speaker 3: her stranger things. I can see why people say she's
- 4:41Speaker 3: Jean Gray because you know, they had the whole psychic
- 4:44Speaker 3: waves or whatever was going on. But yeah, I don't know,
- 4:48Speaker 3: Like I feel like Marvel is trying to play with
- 4:50Speaker 3: your mind like they always like to do.
- 4:52Speaker 1: They're like to.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Fuck you, and I don't know. She just she's just
- 4:56Speaker 3: giving me that that Phoenix essence that I am looking for.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But who knows.
- 5:01Speaker 3: When I first found out about Sadie Sink, I thought
- 5:03Speaker 3: she was gonna be Firestar, because that is like Spider
- 5:05Speaker 3: Man's homies.
- 5:06Speaker 1: So not Spider Man and Their Amazing Friends.
- 5:11Speaker 2: The thing is that Sadie Sink has been whoever she
- 5:14Speaker 2: is playing is an important enough character. Well, they will
- 5:16Speaker 2: appear in Avenger Seek a Wars that's already been said. Okay,
- 5:21Speaker 2: they won't be in Doomsday, but they will be in
- 5:23Speaker 2: Secret Wars, And it seems like one of those multi
- 5:25Speaker 2: film you know, TV deals for Sadie Sink where they
- 5:29Speaker 2: they're locked in, but there definitely will be.
- 5:31Speaker 1: In Secret Wars.
- 5:33Speaker 2: The three big rumors on the table, and I discussed
- 5:35Speaker 2: this in an earlier for video, is that she is
- 5:39Speaker 2: playing either Jean Gray Fire Stars. You mentioned from Spider
- 5:43Speaker 2: Man and his Amazing Friends, a cartoon from the eighties
- 5:45Speaker 2: where Spider Man had two friends and one of them
- 5:48Speaker 2: was Iceman, and one was Firestar, who is another mutant
- 5:51Speaker 2: who has microwave powers. She's appeared in The X Men
- 5:56Speaker 2: and various comics ever since then has a pretty cool story,
- 6:00Speaker 2: right maybe, but once again we're seeing definitely mind control.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And then the other rumor is because these are all
- 6:06Speaker 2: redheaded characters like Sadie sink Is is Typhoid Mary, who
- 6:11Speaker 2: is a daredevil woman who kind of appeared in Dared
- 6:14Speaker 2: Devil season three before Born Again, so I don't know if.
- 6:18Speaker 1: She's very off the table or not.
- 6:21Speaker 2: And Typhoid Mary does have psychic powers, but not like
- 6:25Speaker 2: straight up and down mind control like we see in
- 6:29Speaker 2: this trailer. And Typhoid is a mutant, Yeah yeah, I think, yeah,
- 6:35Speaker 2: I may talk three of them.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, aside from but aside from that psychic stuff,
- 6:39Speaker 4: like obvious the psychic effects happening is that what's happening
- 6:43Speaker 4: with his eyes?
- 6:44Speaker 2: No, okay, what's happening with Peter is something completely different?
- 6:49Speaker 2: What but where a lot of these scenes lead back
- 6:51Speaker 2: to one of them, Well, to Sadie sinc definitely being
- 6:54Speaker 2: a mutant of some sort. Is the fact that we
- 6:56Speaker 2: keep hearing a lot about mutations, Like I was like it's.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Peter and mutant.
- 7:01Speaker 1: That's what I was.
- 7:02Speaker 5: I was like when I saw this trailer, I was like,
- 7:03Speaker 5: did I miss something from it?
- 7:06Speaker 2: Seems that's the way that Marvel is growing, is that
- 7:09Speaker 2: Peter is some sort of mutant or his powers. His
- 7:12Speaker 2: DNA perhaps was mutated by the Spider itself and now
- 7:17Speaker 2: it is further mutating.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So whether or not that makes him a mutant or
- 7:21Speaker 1: someone who's.
- 7:22Speaker 2: DNA has been altered like the Hupe, you know, it
- 7:26Speaker 2: is not a typical mutant, but it seems they're going
- 7:28Speaker 2: down the route of his DNA has been altered by
- 7:32Speaker 2: what made him the Hope, and now he uses this
- 7:35Speaker 2: device that controls it. So Peter is going to him
- 7:38Speaker 2: because his DNA is also MU mutinating. And in the comics,
- 7:42Speaker 2: the storyline has been done a few different ways where
- 7:45Speaker 2: Peter has cocooned himself in one storyline and came out
- 7:50Speaker 2: of the cocoon with new powers such as the innate Webshooters.
- 7:55Speaker 2: There's another storyline.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Where Peter grows six arms, remember that one like.
- 8:00Speaker 2: A spider and people think that I think there's been
- 8:04Speaker 2: rumors or hints that that scene happens in this film
- 8:08Speaker 2: with the six arms.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Yes, he might be headed down that route.
- 8:12Speaker 5: I didn't see that, I mean, well not yet.
- 8:15Speaker 2: But that's you know, that's that's third act, you know
- 8:18Speaker 2: type ship that they're keeping away from us for now.
- 8:22Speaker 2: But going back to Sadie Singh's character, who in this one,
- 8:25Speaker 2: we still have not even seen her face, like they
- 8:27Speaker 2: show a quick shout of her, but you know she's
- 8:30Speaker 2: completely massed up. There's old Denzel watching a film called
- 8:33Speaker 2: Falling where Denzel plays a police officer and he's battling
- 8:38Speaker 2: uh fallen Angel at Isael Aziel Aziel Isaie, I never
- 8:44Speaker 2: know l from Aziel Laziel, Yeah something He's he's battling
- 8:50Speaker 2: the fallen Angel, and the fallen Angel transfers through different
- 8:53Speaker 2: people's bodies by touch, and so we see a similar
- 8:56Speaker 2: scene in this trailer where whoever is controlling these different
- 9:00Speaker 2: people is traveling through them and eventually lambs on one
- 9:03Speaker 2: person and says, I'm gonna go see about mj about
- 9:07Speaker 2: Mary Jane and you know what's.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Going on with her?
- 9:10Speaker 2: And then I think also that same person is controlling
- 9:14Speaker 2: the Hulk in this trailer when he says, you can't
- 9:17Speaker 2: get away with this. When Peter says that to the
- 9:19Speaker 2: Bruce Banner and then it's like, well maybe he can.
- 9:22Speaker 2: And I think that person is now taking control of
- 9:24Speaker 2: the Hulk and that's why the Hulk is fighting Peter
- 9:27Speaker 2: when before we see the whole you know, being on
- 9:30Speaker 2: Peter's side is like yeah, yeah.
- 9:32Speaker 3: But when I saw the Black Eyes and Peter, at first,
- 9:35Speaker 3: I was like, are we going the Venom route again?
- 9:38Speaker 3: Because I remember and there was like that random one
- 9:41Speaker 3: after credit scene. I don't remember what movie it was,
- 9:44Speaker 3: but like they are like a piece of Venom somewhere
- 9:47Speaker 3: in this universe, So this route again, Like what's going
- 9:51Speaker 3: on here?
- 9:51Speaker 5: I don't remember there being a piece, but there's a piece.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because that and the adverrograted scene is so
- 9:57Speaker 2: weird because Venom does appear in our univer or in
- 10:00Speaker 2: the in Peter Parker's universe in the main MCU universe.
- 10:05Speaker 2: And then he gets snatched back out of it before
- 10:10Speaker 2: doing anything because he says he's going to go see
- 10:13Speaker 2: about Peter, and that's when the ended. But then whatever
- 10:16Speaker 2: the next movie I can't remember either, whatever it was,
- 10:18Speaker 2: he gets snatched out of it, But yeah, I think
- 10:21Speaker 2: and I think damage Control. I think one of the
- 10:23Speaker 2: dudes from Damage Patrol comes into that bar and picks
- 10:25Speaker 2: up that piece of venom, So I think Damage Patrol
- 10:29Speaker 2: does have it. But no, the black Eyes. I don't
- 10:31Speaker 2: think our venom. I think the black Eyes are part
- 10:34Speaker 2: of this weird mote mutation that's going on with Peter.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Well that's what I was thinking until you started mentioning Gene,
- 10:41Speaker 4: because I feel like, isn't that isn't that something with
- 10:44Speaker 4: Gene that her eyes go dark like?
- 10:47Speaker 5: Fully?
- 10:48Speaker 3: Or am I thinking that was the X Men movie?
- 10:51Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, but aren't aren't they aren't they? Isn't the
- 10:54Speaker 4: old X Men films? Aren't they in like the MCU now?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 10:59Speaker 2: And I think they're gonna be relevant in Secret Wars too,
- 11:01Speaker 2: because I mean, have you've seen James Martsen is definitely
- 11:04Speaker 2: gonna be in Doomsday.
- 11:06Speaker 3: That's Wheremonica is right now. She's hanging out with twentieth
- 11:09Speaker 3: century Fox people.
- 11:11Speaker 2: But is she in the twentieth century Fox or she
- 11:14Speaker 2: and a version of that twenty cent Fox too, because
- 11:17Speaker 2: I think that's more what it is because that version
- 11:20Speaker 2: has the binary character who wasn't in any.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Of the X Men movies.
- 11:26Speaker 2: So, but back to the Spider Man brand New Day trailer.
- 11:29Speaker 2: We also see the Punisher in it. We see Spider
- 11:32Speaker 2: Man interacting with MJ and with Ned and both of
- 11:36Speaker 2: them not knowing who he is still, but Ned definitely
- 11:40Speaker 2: being very interested in Spider Man and talking and there's
- 11:43Speaker 2: actually they released another thing on YouTube that they were
- 11:46Speaker 2: Ned is like basically doing his web series where he's
- 11:49Speaker 2: talking to the camera and explaining why he's looking for
- 11:53Speaker 2: Spider Man, and he talks about how Spider Man has
- 11:56Speaker 2: saved his life so many times, but he doesn't know
- 11:58Speaker 2: who he is, so he's actively trying to find out
- 12:01Speaker 2: who is behind them.
- 12:02Speaker 3: They remember who Spider Man is, they just don't remember
- 12:04Speaker 3: who Peter is.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yes, they remember all the interactions that they had with
- 12:09Speaker 2: Spider Man, they just don't remember any time he ever
- 12:12Speaker 2: took off his mask. But that also meates like, okay,
- 12:14Speaker 2: so do they remember going to Doctor Stranger's house, you know, because.
- 12:20Speaker 4: It's like, but it's it's it's it's specifically Peter, Like
- 12:24Speaker 4: like what if it's like there he's taking the mask off,
- 12:26Speaker 4: and it's just like they think it's someone you know,
- 12:29Speaker 4: someone else you.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Know, Yeah, but no, no, he doesn't know who it is.
- 12:33Speaker 2: So it's like does he man he takes the mask off,
- 12:35Speaker 2: the ned just blank out.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Or you know, maybe they just don't ever remember when
- 12:39Speaker 3: he takes his mask.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I would say.
- 12:42Speaker 2: More so it's like, you know they he just always
- 12:44Speaker 2: has the mask throng.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yeah, Because then I pause on his little like you know,
- 12:51Speaker 3: crime map grid that was like a little sticky note
- 12:54Speaker 3: that was like ethnicity, white question mark. I was like, well,
- 13:00Speaker 3: he knows something. And then it was like queen's accent.
- 13:03Speaker 3: So I was like, okay, okay, that's putting the pieces together.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Wow, that's good work there.
- 13:13Speaker 3: And I was like, does he have a queens And
- 13:15Speaker 3: I don't know, but they have a queen's accent.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I could.
- 13:19Speaker 5: That's so funny.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I know that when people got to pick Jersey accents sometimes,
- 13:23Speaker 2: but you know, even that might be Long Island or
- 13:25Speaker 2: you know, Staying Island.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Sometimes the jersey is gonna be very Jersey.
- 13:29Speaker 3: But there's a lot going on the punisher the hand.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I was like, yes, why is the hand here? What
- 13:36Speaker 3: are they doing.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Like other than to have you know, nameless goons.
- 13:41Speaker 2: But I think the hand are going to be related
- 13:44Speaker 2: to Kingpin and the other mystery of this trailer that
- 13:47Speaker 2: people are just pretty much assuming and out of dare devil.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Born Again is fully out, we can all say, because
- 13:54Speaker 2: we saw Matt Murdock go to prison at the end
- 13:57Speaker 2: of Born Again, So who is in this prison but
- 14:01Speaker 2: Matt Murdoch And who else has you know, experience dealing
- 14:04Speaker 2: with ninjas but Matt Murdoch. And there's that big shot
- 14:08Speaker 2: of Spider Man leaping at the ninjas where there's a
- 14:11Speaker 2: big open space with these Spider Man and Marvel loves
- 14:16Speaker 2: to use these open spaces to put in mystery characters.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So well, they did it before. Yeah, they did it
- 14:22Speaker 1: before in a Spider Man movie.
- 14:23Speaker 2: So it seems like most likely that what Jeter goes
- 14:27Speaker 2: to the prison to break there to v out for
- 14:29Speaker 2: some reason. But I do feel like Dred it was
- 14:32Speaker 2: to get you know, one of these whead's like Okay,
- 14:34Speaker 2: I gotta go back to jail before the end of
- 14:35Speaker 2: this movie.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Or it could be Electra because you know, there's been
- 14:39Speaker 3: a lot of talk about her coming back for the
- 14:41Speaker 3: next season.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I think, oh wow.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and she's heavily tied with the hand, yes, and
- 14:46Speaker 3: you know someone needs to she is the She's like
- 14:49Speaker 3: one of the current daar deevils right, so like yep,
- 14:51Speaker 3: take on the Mantle?
- 14:52Speaker 1: While interesting, Wow, I.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Saw an interview of someonody grilling Garfield Andrew Garfield saying
- 14:59Speaker 4: it's you and Toby again, isn't it?
- 15:01Speaker 5: In this right? We got Spider Man and then what
- 15:03Speaker 5: we're seeing, right is.
- 15:03Speaker 4: This room for more characters which appear to have been
- 15:06Speaker 4: edited out of the trailer.
- 15:07Speaker 1: This feels like a reach, to be honest, like, what
- 15:09Speaker 1: do you mean there's like room for other characters?
- 15:11Speaker 5: You guys again, isn't it?
- 15:13Speaker 1: No?
- 15:13Speaker 2: I think Garfield and Toby and then will be in
- 15:17Speaker 2: Secret Wars probably and maybe even in Doom Stay. I
- 15:19Speaker 2: think isn't one in a listen for Doomsday? I think
- 15:22Speaker 2: Toby is listed for them.
- 15:24Speaker 4: I feel like I heard that Toby is, but yeah,
- 15:26Speaker 4: I think he is also. I'm not sure if that's
- 15:28Speaker 4: if that was like a rumor that they were doing
- 15:29Speaker 4: Spider Man.
- 15:30Speaker 2: For Yeah, that rumor was out there for a while too.
- 15:33Speaker 2: But as far as I know, they're listening for Doomsay,
- 15:35Speaker 2: and I'm pretty sure they're going to be in Secret
- 15:37Speaker 2: Wars and all that.
- 15:38Speaker 4: I don't think they're in this one though. In this one, no,
- 15:40Speaker 4: I do not think they're a brand new day. That
- 15:42Speaker 4: would make no sense.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Now.
- 15:44Speaker 2: One of the other things that I wanted to talk
- 15:46Speaker 2: about this and really with Spider managed to lead us
- 15:48Speaker 2: into our next topic, is there's a lot of fandom
- 15:52Speaker 2: out there who really refuse change, you know, and they
- 15:56Speaker 2: cannot stand change on any level. And I first noticed
- 16:00Speaker 2: it at the end of No Way Home, right it's
- 16:04Speaker 2: at the last one, because there were so many people
- 16:07Speaker 2: who were super excited at the end of that when
- 16:10Speaker 2: they're like, oh, yes, Peter Parker's broke again.
- 16:12Speaker 1: He doesn't know Tony Stark anymore. He's living, you know.
- 16:16Speaker 2: By himself in a cheap ass apartment in the New
- 16:18Speaker 2: York He just has the suit with no tech in it.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And I'm like, yo, we saw that first.
- 16:24Speaker 2: How many movies already seriously, like, you know, how many
- 16:30Speaker 2: TV shows, how many whatever comic books? And to me,
- 16:35Speaker 2: it's just illogical, you know, And it's one of those
- 16:37Speaker 2: things where you have to defy logic to believe that
- 16:40Speaker 2: Peter Parker, a genius level of intellect who can create
- 16:43Speaker 2: web shooters out of nothing, is going to stay broke.
- 16:47Speaker 1: You know. That just does not make sense.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Like there was a running comment in the Spider Man
- 16:52Speaker 2: comments where Peter got dumb rich and I thought that
- 16:55Speaker 2: was such an ill, you know, way to take it,
- 16:58Speaker 2: and people hated it because they just needed to stay
- 17:02Speaker 2: the same.
- 17:02Speaker 1: And it goes on every level.
- 17:04Speaker 2: It's why you see such a resistance to characters like
- 17:06Speaker 2: Miles Morales becoming Spider Man, because I know Peter Parker
- 17:10Speaker 2: must always be Spider Man. I don't care if we
- 17:12Speaker 2: get fifty million movies. It is, you know, this is
- 17:14Speaker 2: the way it should be, and it's just corny.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Meanwhile, you have all these Spider Verse movies that they love,
- 17:21Speaker 3: and what like two of them are Peter Parker.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Right, But also do they even do like like, yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 4: he gets stripped of you know, the things that we
- 17:29Speaker 4: knew from the previous films. But I don't think I
- 17:32Speaker 4: don't remember any of these trailers showing off of what
- 17:35Speaker 4: Peter's doing, you know what I mean?
- 17:37Speaker 2: Like, well, they do have to one, and I think
- 17:39Speaker 2: that should probably be a montage where we see Peter
- 17:41Speaker 2: battling a bunch of low level criminals and all that stuff.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And you see me as far as work goes, oh well,
- 17:47Speaker 2: like taking pictures of Spider Man.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you know, that's what people always want.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Are we doing? You know? J Jones?
- 17:53Speaker 3: Peter is it? He was like a kid for the
- 17:55Speaker 3: first couple ones, so he wasn't even working yet.
- 17:58Speaker 1: No, now he's not a word so now.
- 18:00Speaker 3: But is he that smart? Because uh, I kind of
- 18:04Speaker 3: got a whole lot of smart Peter from Tom.
- 18:07Speaker 5: Holland, Like kid Peter.
- 18:09Speaker 3: We got a student to Holland, Peter Parker, like he's
- 18:13Speaker 3: in the what's it called, the The Cathalon Academic.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you get you get smart Peter Parker
- 18:19Speaker 2: because remember Tony stark is interested in him, and Tonyarker, Yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 2: you get that. And then you get it when you
- 18:24Speaker 2: see him in the last film when he interacts with
- 18:27Speaker 2: Andrew and Garfield, I mean and Toby, that's when you.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Really see, Okay, he's supposed to be. Yeah, yeah, he's
- 18:33Speaker 1: supposed to be a genius, you know, and.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Like this Peter is the non existent in this world,
- 18:38Speaker 4: like you know, we don't know. He could be you know,
- 18:40Speaker 4: trading stock on the side, like you know, I mean
- 18:42Speaker 4: he should be thing.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Like like he could be anything he wants.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Really, yeah, but he's street. Yeah he should be.
- 18:51Speaker 2: But again, fans don't want him to change, and they
- 18:55Speaker 2: just refuse to allow him to change, and so it
- 18:59Speaker 2: becomes this thing where we get stuck and we see
- 19:02Speaker 2: these same things.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Over and over again, and I, for one.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Do not understand it, Like I understand the way, like, okay,
- 19:09Speaker 2: new generations from in and you want to give them,
- 19:11Speaker 2: you know, the same old Spider Man story, so they
- 19:13Speaker 2: fall in love with the character the same way you did.
- 19:16Speaker 1: But there should also be a space where we're seeing
- 19:18Speaker 1: a new version of these characters, or where these characters
- 19:21Speaker 1: are allowed to grow and age and change, and also
- 19:27Speaker 1: the correct dumb shit that was done in the past.
- 19:29Speaker 1: And I think that's something that you know. Joel had
- 19:33Speaker 1: a video this week.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Yes, so for those of y'all who did not know,
- 19:40Speaker 3: I made a little video because, as we know, X
- 19:43Speaker 3: Men ninety seven season two is coming out and one
- 19:46Speaker 3: of their promos was like this the roster, and so,
- 19:50Speaker 3: as an avid X Men fan, I was like, Okay,
- 19:52Speaker 3: let's see who's going to be there, and one of
- 19:54Speaker 3: the characters, Silock, is going to be So I made
- 19:58Speaker 3: a video about Silock and her very complicated history, which
- 20:02Speaker 3: basically she's been a white woman's body swapped into an
- 20:05Speaker 3: Asian woman's body, and that was a big part of
- 20:08Speaker 3: her history, and so I just made a point like
- 20:11Speaker 3: I would like to not see that in X Men
- 20:13Speaker 3: ninety seven, because why are we getting white women cosplaying
- 20:16Speaker 3: ninjo warriors in today's day and age. But people came
- 20:21Speaker 3: at me crazy in the comments, like talking about, well, one,
- 20:26Speaker 3: there's the why why are you so serious about this?
- 20:28Speaker 3: It's not that deal angry, which I was like, was
- 20:33Speaker 3: I angry?
- 20:33Speaker 1: Like someone said already?
- 20:35Speaker 3: Someone said I had a hostile history?
- 20:37Speaker 1: Lesson?
- 20:37Speaker 3: I said, girl, was I waving a knife during this video?
- 20:40Speaker 3: Like did I thrust it at the camera while I
- 20:42Speaker 3: was talking about this character's history? And then the other
- 20:46Speaker 3: piece is like, well, you know that that's how it
- 20:49Speaker 3: was in the comics, so that's who she should be,
- 20:51Speaker 3: Like it should be Betsy in this Asian woman's body,
- 20:54Speaker 3: Like why would we change that up? This is and
- 20:57Speaker 3: it's ninety seven, so that's what it was in the nineties.
- 21:00Speaker 3: And it's just like, girl, we can talk, we can
- 21:02Speaker 3: always change things. Like it's this whole thing about you know,
- 21:06Speaker 3: the canon events that they talk about in Spider Verse, like, wow,
- 21:08Speaker 3: does everything have to go into this canon piece? When
- 21:12Speaker 3: like there should be room to grow and change with
- 21:14Speaker 3: the characters.
- 21:15Speaker 2: And the problem is a lot of people took that
- 21:17Speaker 2: the wrong way. Like when they saw Spider Verse and
- 21:20Speaker 2: they saw to say about Cannon events, they were like, yes,
- 21:23Speaker 2: every character has Tannon events and they must stick to them.
- 21:27Speaker 2: And it's like that was the exact opposite of what
- 21:30Speaker 2: this film is trying to say.
- 21:31Speaker 1: The film was trying to say that.
- 21:33Speaker 2: No, Miguel is completely wrong and Tannon events don't make sense,
- 21:38Speaker 2: and characters should be able to not be burdened by
- 21:42Speaker 2: history and have to do the same things over and
- 21:44Speaker 2: over again.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Right, Like y'all weren't complaining in shang Chi, which also
- 21:49Speaker 3: has been had a very problematic history with Orientalism when
- 21:53Speaker 3: they changed the name of the dragon when you know,
- 21:55Speaker 3: the Mandarin even like commented on his name of like
- 21:59Speaker 3: you know, the name me after Orange Chicken, like the fuck,
- 22:02Speaker 3: Like y'all didn't have an issue with that, but all
- 22:04Speaker 3: of a sudden.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, no, no no. To be clear,
- 22:06Speaker 1: they had a major issue with her.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah fans you no no, they
- 22:11Speaker 2: Like I was in the theater in Iron Man three
- 22:14Speaker 2: and I bust out laughing when the whole Mandarin review happened,
- 22:19Speaker 2: and I was sitting there laughing my ass off one
- 22:22Speaker 2: because I was like, yo, this is going to piss
- 22:23Speaker 2: off so many cornballs.
- 22:25Speaker 1: So I was laughing away.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Like yes, yes, make them mad, and sure enough they were,
- 22:32Speaker 2: Oh no, they were highly upset over that we need
- 22:36Speaker 2: our racism, you know, like right.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Like, is the racism essential to your fandom? Like, is
- 22:41Speaker 3: that it is?
- 22:44Speaker 1: It seems to be in certain cases. Yeah, Like. And
- 22:48Speaker 1: then the other one.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Comment that you got a lot of that really gets
- 22:52Speaker 2: me is when they're like, you know, stop with the
- 22:54Speaker 2: identity politics. And I always tell people the only time
- 22:58Speaker 2: you bring up politics, The only time that t're ever
- 23:00Speaker 2: upset about politics and comics, films, books, whatever media is
- 23:04Speaker 2: when it's something that disagrees with your own personal viewpoints,
- 23:07Speaker 2: or when someone has an opinion that you don't agree
- 23:10Speaker 2: with and it triggers you. And all these other words
- 23:13Speaker 2: that you'd like to use about people, which I think
- 23:16Speaker 2: are corny. I think the word triggered is corny as fuck.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I think it's corny as fuck when you call people
- 23:21Speaker 2: sensitive or when you say somebody's emotional. I think all
- 23:25Speaker 2: these shits are corny as weak minded ways to respond
- 23:30Speaker 2: to someone when they have an opinion, and saying that
- 23:33Speaker 2: someone has an identity politics. It's just saying that because
- 23:37Speaker 2: you never had to listen to people growing up. You
- 23:40Speaker 2: only had to listen to other men and dumb motherfuckers
- 23:43Speaker 2: like yourself, And now that you have to listen to
- 23:45Speaker 2: somebody with an intelligent viewpoint, you're upset and you want
- 23:48Speaker 2: to throw it under this thing of identity politics, and
- 23:51Speaker 2: it's just cheap, weak ass bullshit.
- 23:54Speaker 1: And I'm just tired of it.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Especially when those people look different from you and have
- 23:58Speaker 3: different experiences.
- 24:00Speaker 2: And the funny thing is I see a lot of
- 24:02Speaker 2: like you know. That's why I just say a lot
- 24:04Speaker 2: of men are the worst, because it's not just white men.
- 24:07Speaker 2: It's and I see so many people parroting white men
- 24:13Speaker 2: and acting like they have a point when they're copying
- 24:15Speaker 2: and pasting something that I've heard for the last twenty
- 24:18Speaker 2: years from dumb white men. You think it sounds better
- 24:21Speaker 2: coming out your mouth, It doesn't. Fam You sound just
- 24:23Speaker 2: as stupid as they did. I don't get it, like
- 24:29Speaker 2: you know, And someone else that was like, oh, this
- 24:32Speaker 2: is the I don't know what generation they wanted to
- 24:34Speaker 2: blame it.
- 24:34Speaker 1: On millennial z. I don't know, Alpha whoever they want
- 24:39Speaker 1: to blame it on.
- 24:39Speaker 2: They're like, and I'm like, bro, I'm probably older, straight
- 24:42Speaker 2: up a doubt, you know when I'm not. I was
- 24:46Speaker 2: there reading the comics when this happened. I was collecting
- 24:49Speaker 2: the comics when it happened. You know, it was some bullshit.
- 24:53Speaker 2: When it happened, I knew it then. You know, I
- 24:55Speaker 2: might have liked how Sideline look, of.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Course, Jim Lee, you know, drawing an Asian woman.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, amazing, but it was like, this shit's weird, dog,
- 25:03Speaker 2: like this is a white woman in an Asian woman's
- 25:05Speaker 2: body being written by Chris Claremont, a white dude, like
- 25:09Speaker 2: who has this weird fascination with Japan and Asian people already?
- 25:14Speaker 2: That's you know, been on this plane with Wolverine and
- 25:16Speaker 2: everything has ever written, and.
- 25:20Speaker 3: You wanted to kill off the actual Asian woman and
- 25:22Speaker 3: just have her live the rest of her life as
- 25:25Speaker 3: this like white woman in an Asian woman's body. So
- 25:27Speaker 3: it's like, now you're just getting rid of the other
- 25:31Speaker 3: person that like, don't don't she got a voice? Can
- 25:33Speaker 3: she have some some role in this comment?
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:38Speaker 2: Yeah, no, not really And so that's why I don't
- 25:42Speaker 2: really have time for it. Like I was trying to
- 25:44Speaker 2: make another video to respond to some of these people
- 25:46Speaker 2: that you know, Joel had in his video, because I'm,
- 25:51Speaker 2: for one whom just exhausted with it, you know. And
- 25:54Speaker 2: I know the problem is when you talk this nonsense,
- 25:58Speaker 2: there's a lot.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Of people who listen to you.
- 26:01Speaker 2: You know, so a lot of people talk this nonsense
- 26:03Speaker 2: because they know it feeds their pockets. And then a
- 26:06Speaker 2: lot of people are suckers and they buy into this
- 26:09Speaker 2: nonsense because they need, you know.
- 26:11Speaker 1: A group think they need people to agree with them.
- 26:14Speaker 2: And like I say, there's a large you know, probably
- 26:16Speaker 2: the majority or I would say the majority of comic
- 26:19Speaker 2: readers and you know, fandom, but I would say a
- 26:22Speaker 2: vocal majority of fandom, you know, goes into this of
- 26:27Speaker 2: this idea of never wanting anything to change, and even
- 26:31Speaker 2: when it doesn't come from a nefarious and dark place
- 26:34Speaker 2: like these other idiots, it still feeds into that same mentality.
- 26:38Speaker 2: And that's just when I'm always been my big problem
- 26:41Speaker 2: in comics and movies, et cetera, is just like things
- 26:44Speaker 2: have to be the way they were when I started
- 26:46Speaker 2: reading them. I think that shit's corny, fam, And.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Then they always want to be right too, because they're
- 26:51Speaker 3: they're all the like, well actually nerds.
- 26:53Speaker 2: That yeah, And it's always this thing like, oh, well,
- 26:55Speaker 2: you know you have nothing to say because I'm right. No, No,
- 26:58Speaker 2: I have nothing to say because you're an idiot. Yeah,
- 27:00Speaker 2: And you know me talking to an idiot does nothing
- 27:02Speaker 2: for me.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Fam.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Like I say, I've been running the show for a
- 27:05Speaker 2: long time. I've been a fan way longer than that.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I've heard it all. I've heard all the dumb arguments
- 27:10Speaker 2: you can have. None of them made sense.
- 27:13Speaker 3: And like you said, I think I saw you applied
- 27:15Speaker 3: to one comments. Silence is always an option.
- 27:17Speaker 1: It always is an option.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Like that person had a bunch of likes because
- 27:22Speaker 2: there's a bunch of idiots who agree with this.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Type of shit.
- 27:25Speaker 2: And I've always known that, Like, if you say anything
- 27:27Speaker 2: contrary to this, you know, foolishness on the net, you're
- 27:30Speaker 2: gonna get these type of comments, and a lot of
- 27:32Speaker 2: people are going to agree with these type of comments.
- 27:34Speaker 2: And you know that's one thing I'll just be like, well,
- 27:36Speaker 2: you know, everyone who likes your comment is an idiot
- 27:38Speaker 2: as well. Sorry to say, you know, or or poorly educated,
- 27:41Speaker 2: whatever you want to.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Call it, but you know, you know, definitely foolish.
- 27:45Speaker 3: A fandwagon. They see now they have the courage to
- 27:49Speaker 3: yes and say their two piece because you said it first.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but someone else who responded to them got just
- 27:55Speaker 2: as many lights. So it's like, you know, there's always
- 27:57Speaker 2: going to be you know, balanced, and you know, for
- 28:00Speaker 2: on Earth, we're always going to stand on that side
- 28:03Speaker 2: of it.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Fam, I have no time for it, you know.
- 28:08Speaker 4: I think we had some folks in the comments that
- 28:10Speaker 4: were that were on the opposite end though, but I
- 28:12Speaker 4: didn't go through all the.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you know, shout out to all my new fans,
- 28:16Speaker 3: because I definitely had a definitely got a lot of love.
- 28:18Speaker 1: And I oh yeah, absolutely.
- 28:21Speaker 3: And if you look at the ratio of likes to
- 28:23Speaker 3: negative comments.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it's definitely that.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's something that we probably should focus on more, right,
- 28:30Speaker 2: is you know, shout out to all the people who
- 28:32Speaker 2: did get it, you know, who did like it. And
- 28:35Speaker 2: that's what I always say too, cause whenever I make
- 28:37Speaker 2: a video and people are disagreeing with it, I'm like, well, fam,
- 28:40Speaker 2: you know, you might be disagreeing, but I'm I'm not
- 28:42Speaker 2: really paying.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Attention to you.
- 28:43Speaker 2: I'm paying attention to all these people else who are
- 28:46Speaker 2: fully agreed and fully understanding what we were here to say.
- 28:49Speaker 3: And the negativity is always the loudest.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Like this is true.
- 28:52Speaker 3: We're always seeing these long thesis statements of negative. People
- 28:58Speaker 3: want to write me a letter.
- 29:03Speaker 2: But it's like they never want to get their own video,
- 29:05Speaker 2: you know, Like that's what kills me. It's like, motherfucker,
- 29:10Speaker 2: Like you just wrote out a script for your video
- 29:13Speaker 2: right there.
- 29:15Speaker 1: You defeed it.
- 29:15Speaker 2: You can set your phone up, let you read it
- 29:18Speaker 2: back to you and you know you could just sit
- 29:21Speaker 2: there and boom.
- 29:23Speaker 3: An adomption where you can pull that comment to the
- 29:25Speaker 3: top of your screen as you do your video.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Yeah you got this, bro, you know.
- 29:31Speaker 2: But yeah, start your own channel, you know, talk your ship.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I'll be writing your comments. Call you an idiot, trust me,
- 29:39Speaker 2: I can't wait.
- 29:40Speaker 4: You know, I just scroll and I see Ben's start
- 29:42Speaker 4: your own channel is just the response. That's how I
- 29:45Speaker 4: know you're done talking. Start your own channel.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Know, anybody can get a microphone and headphone.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah they had, Like I've said that before, Like like
- 29:56Speaker 2: someone told me that they're like your podcast equipment should
- 29:59Speaker 2: cost more and I'm like, unfortunately for.
- 30:01Speaker 1: You, it doesn't you know.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Oh well, you know, it's.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Cheap as fuck.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Man, go buy a mic, you know, the gas station
- 30:12Speaker 4: and start a podcast on your way out, you know.
- 30:15Speaker 2: But the thing is, nobody wants to hear you say
- 30:17Speaker 2: anything that. That's what it really is, and that's what
- 30:20Speaker 2: they can't accept. People like hearing us talk. They do
- 30:25Speaker 2: not care about you, and that is you know, that's
- 30:29Speaker 2: the difference. Man, Like you know, you cannot deliver it.
- 30:32Speaker 2: You can't bring the joy to love all these other
- 30:35Speaker 2: things because you're mad about everything and we're over here
- 30:39Speaker 2: like this is awesome, you know what I mean, Like
- 30:42Speaker 2: I can't the.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Other thing, Like people kept coming at me like just
- 30:45Speaker 3: enjoy it? Why can't you? I hope I would just
- 30:53Speaker 3: like them to not do that.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I hope they watched this to see how you started with.
- 30:58Speaker 4: I'm a huge X Men family, you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 4: But the thing is they won't It doesn't matter. They
- 31:04Speaker 4: won't get that.
- 31:05Speaker 1: You know.
- 31:05Speaker 2: It's like I said, I've been reading X Men longer
- 31:07Speaker 2: than them. You know, in the story, it's a rare
- 31:10Speaker 2: person out there on the net who could say they've
- 31:12Speaker 2: been reading X Men as long as I am.
- 31:14Speaker 1: And if they are, they ain't gonna be bitching like you,
- 31:17Speaker 1: because if.
- 31:17Speaker 2: You've been reading it this long, you know it always
- 31:21Speaker 2: fucking changes anyway, and none of this shit lasts that
- 31:24Speaker 2: long as long as a new writer, so you're not
- 31:26Speaker 2: gonna be complaining. But if you haven't been, you get
- 31:29Speaker 2: mad about every little thing, and whenever somebody disagrees, you
- 31:32Speaker 2: know you want me.
- 31:33Speaker 1: And if you're really a bitch, you've just been sitting
- 31:35Speaker 1: in your room reading this stuff to yourself all these years.
- 31:37Speaker 2: You've got no friends, you got no family, nobody cares
- 31:40Speaker 2: about you, and so of course you get mad when
- 31:42Speaker 2: somebody questions it, because this is all you got.
- 31:44Speaker 1: And that's when I say good therapy.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Yeah, having a criticism or critique about something does not
- 31:50Speaker 3: mean that you hate it, like you love something and
- 31:53Speaker 3: still see it like like Beyonce said, flaws and all
- 31:58Speaker 3: there's hello problematic shit throughout all of X Men that
- 32:01Speaker 3: I can point out doesn't mean that it makes me
- 32:03Speaker 3: not an X Man fan, Like I love all of it,
- 32:05Speaker 3: But there are shiit we need to talk about, and
- 32:07Speaker 3: there's shit we need to correct, Like you said, like
- 32:09Speaker 3: things cannot always say the same, like a lot of
- 32:12Speaker 3: this shit is built on racist ideas, racist thoughts, problematic shit,
- 32:17Speaker 3: and so like things have to change with the times.
- 32:19Speaker 3: If you love something you got, it's got to change too,
- 32:22Speaker 3: because you can't keep loving something if it's still suck
- 32:24Speaker 3: and the old problematic ship that it's been going through.
- 32:28Speaker 4: Right, and there needs to be critique or the creators
- 32:30Speaker 4: will you know, they will not get the point that
- 32:34Speaker 4: they're the change is okay, you know what I mean,
- 32:36Speaker 4: like like like with back to like the Spider Man
- 32:38Speaker 4: stuff and retelling the Spider Man story, like they need
- 32:42Speaker 4: to know we don't we want change, you know.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's I mean, I'm really happy, you know,
- 32:47Speaker 2: because Brand New Days seems to be like as much
- 32:51Speaker 2: as people are like I want Peter to be all this.
- 32:53Speaker 1: It seems to be like now we're still going to
- 32:54Speaker 1: tell you a whole new story.
- 32:56Speaker 2: You know, even though people and I know people are like,
- 32:58Speaker 2: you know, on the street level Spider Man, he got
- 33:00Speaker 2: on the street you can only fight street level of criminals.
- 33:02Speaker 2: And they're like, why is jan Gray in this? And
- 33:04Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, well, you know, if Jean Gray isn't it,
- 33:06Speaker 2: this is because Jean Gray has been in.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Spider Man comics.
- 33:09Speaker 2: There's definitely been friendship and relationship between the two of them,
- 33:13Speaker 2: so why not.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Yeah, And that was the nice thing about this MCU
- 33:18Speaker 3: Spider Man was like, for once we didn't get the
- 33:21Speaker 3: first movie focused on Uncle Ben dying bitten by a
- 33:25Speaker 3: spider Like, it was very refreshing to finally like jump
- 33:28Speaker 3: into Spider Man as Spider Man. You know, we don't
- 33:31Speaker 3: have to worry about all this backstory that we've heard
- 33:34Speaker 3: a thousand times, like we didn't even get with great
- 33:36Speaker 3: power comes great responsibility. So what the third one?
- 33:39Speaker 2: When I made that and then she barely even reached us,
- 33:41Speaker 2: she flips upon it, right, and I just all, And
- 33:45Speaker 2: I'll be honest, it's like a lot of times all
- 33:47Speaker 2: come out of movies and then the reaction to something,
- 33:50Speaker 2: I'm like, word, you know, because I can't remember what
- 33:55Speaker 2: really made me think of that just now. But I
- 33:58Speaker 2: know for Spider Man, I was really surprised when people
- 34:01Speaker 2: are like, oh, I hate his friendship.
- 34:02Speaker 1: With Tony Stark, what like weird?
- 34:06Speaker 2: Why you know, Like it is so weird to me
- 34:09Speaker 2: because it's like for all those years of the Toby films,
- 34:12Speaker 2: we were just like I wish he could interact with
- 34:14Speaker 2: someone else. Yeah, for Marvel, you know, but Sony doesn't
- 34:18Speaker 2: own anything, so he can't. And then now he finally can,
- 34:23Speaker 2: and it's like, I don't want this.
- 34:25Speaker 1: You know, you know, it's what I asked for. Now
- 34:32Speaker 1: I'm sad about it.
- 34:34Speaker 2: I just you know. So that was that, and but
- 34:37Speaker 2: it's been like that for a lot of stuff, you know,
- 34:39Speaker 2: of fandom, because I'll see something and then I'll watch it,
- 34:42Speaker 2: and then the online reaction will just be the whole
- 34:46Speaker 2: other way, and I'm like, wait, what.
- 34:48Speaker 3: He wants to say? Movie?
- 34:49Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I guess, you know, I don't know, but yeah,
- 34:55Speaker 2: with Spider Man, I'm excited for it. I really I
- 34:59Speaker 2: don't know how I feel about Sadie Seek being Jean Graye. Honestly,
- 35:04Speaker 2: I love Sadie in and a Stranger Things, so I
- 35:07Speaker 2: think she could pull it off.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I gotta see the script. And the thing about this.
- 35:11Speaker 2: One that really intrigues me is Tom Holland saying that
- 35:14Speaker 2: the script he felt like they were trying to do
- 35:16Speaker 2: something that he'd never seen done with one of these
- 35:19Speaker 2: Spider Man films, and that, you know, he said that
- 35:22Speaker 2: like a couple of years back, so that has been
- 35:26Speaker 2: something that's really made me like okay, maybe you know.
- 35:29Speaker 2: And then the way this trailer has been set up,
- 35:32Speaker 2: it feels like, like I said, a lot of first
- 35:34Speaker 2: and second apt stuff like we're really not seeing what
- 35:37Speaker 2: this movie is really about yet interesting and so that's.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Well, this shit like it's it would be cool if
- 35:44Speaker 3: they connected everything very well, Like yes, he saw loud
- 35:47Speaker 3: of random stuff, but like if the script is good,
- 35:49Speaker 3: if it's written well, they can all coordinate, like the
- 35:53Speaker 3: way they pulled off Infinity Wars, like that was Hell's
- 35:55Speaker 3: Share everywhere random from the MCU, but yeh work because
- 35:59Speaker 3: they able to connect everything and made sense. So fingers crossed.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Yeah, because I feel everyone out there, like people are like,
- 36:06Speaker 2: what the hell out a hand doing in this film?
- 36:08Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 36:09Speaker 2: And I'm the same way right now. Why is the
- 36:13Speaker 2: Hulk here?
- 36:14Speaker 1: You know? Why is this some? If this is Gene Gray?
- 36:18Speaker 1: What you know?
- 36:19Speaker 5: Like h literally what was.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Just on the streets by herself where she's about to
- 36:26Speaker 3: drop a mixtape?
- 36:27Speaker 1: Yeah? What?
- 36:29Speaker 2: But if you know, if that scrip pulls it all
- 36:31Speaker 2: together and I'm sitting at theater like hell, yeah, you know,
- 36:34Speaker 2: that's That's all I asked for yeah, yeah.
- 36:37Speaker 4: You know, I I heard that Tom Holland when he
- 36:39Speaker 4: was filming on the Odyssey, and he liked what he
- 36:41Speaker 4: was doing and he he wanted more from Spider Man
- 36:44Speaker 4: because of the because of the way things were happening
- 36:47Speaker 4: on that that script. Because you just reminded me with
- 36:50Speaker 4: the script talk.
- 36:51Speaker 2: I know, he definitely is like I don't know if
- 36:53Speaker 2: he gets co writer credit, but he's gating like story
- 36:57Speaker 2: by or something like like where he's just the first
- 36:59Speaker 2: time where he actually got to interact on the actual script.
- 37:04Speaker 1: So probably, so that's exciting. Yeah.
- 37:08Speaker 2: And then it's directed by Daniel, right, Daniel Crinton. Then
- 37:13Speaker 2: he do this one Dustin or is it Dustin not? Yeah, DestinE, Yeah,
- 37:20Speaker 2: and he done great work. And he he also said
- 37:23Speaker 2: something really dope aboudy he did change. He and also
- 37:25Speaker 2: executive proof wonder Man and he said, yeah, and that's
- 37:29Speaker 2: what he said, he said, this is yeah, he said,
- 37:33Speaker 2: this is Peter Parker's wonder Man. This is Spider Man's
- 37:36Speaker 2: wonder Man. So what that means, I don't know, because
- 37:39Speaker 2: wonder Man is such a unique property, but it's also
- 37:43Speaker 2: a very character driven property.
- 37:45Speaker 1: So I could see that you know that this was
- 37:47Speaker 1: you know that, so we should see you know that's exciting. Yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 1: I mean I'm excited to change. You know, change is good.
- 37:56Speaker 1: You know.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't that seem to always feel that way,
- 38:01Speaker 2: but you know that's you know, that's what we're gonna
- 38:05Speaker 2: do over here.
- 38:06Speaker 5: Did we want to talk about Toy Story at all?
- 38:08Speaker 1: Or no? No, They're gonna keep cranking these out.
- 38:14Speaker 5: And I don't know, I don't know how. I mean,
- 38:17Speaker 5: I don't know either.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Like yeah, this is this is like like this is
- 38:23Speaker 2: it like you did the toys versus you know, versus
- 38:26Speaker 2: the screen.
- 38:27Speaker 1: I don't know what else y'all got.
- 38:29Speaker 2: They've they've had death right almost Yeah, no, but I
- 38:34Speaker 2: mean like Andy or like you know that little girl
- 38:36Speaker 2: who's in it now dying.
- 38:37Speaker 1: That's the only thing I could see.
- 38:39Speaker 3: That would be crazy. They gets hit by a truck,
- 38:45Speaker 3: and now what are the toys gonna do?
- 38:49Speaker 5: How do you do with Toy Story seven?
- 38:51Speaker 2: But that's the only thing to haven't done, like you know,
- 38:54Speaker 2: that's the only that's I feel like they haven't talked
- 38:56Speaker 2: with kids.
- 38:57Speaker 5: If I see a trailer and Toy Story is talking
- 38:59Speaker 5: about death.
- 38:59Speaker 1: That Andy dies, you know, like and he comes back
- 39:02Speaker 1: to die you know.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Then it gets dark. They bury his toys with him.
- 39:08Speaker 3: They're trapped in the coffin with him. Now the plot
- 39:12Speaker 3: is them escaping the cop. They gotta do the kill.
- 39:16Speaker 5: Bill hasn't what he used. Buzz's like action chop arm.
- 39:25Speaker 1: You know.
- 39:25Speaker 2: But there's no more lessons you can teach these kids,
- 39:29Speaker 2: you know, like this is the last one to me,
- 39:31Speaker 2: you know.
- 39:31Speaker 3: There what the lesson was this movie?
- 39:34Speaker 2: Like yeah, I don't know, because it kind of said
- 39:36Speaker 2: like fuck it, you know, like, yeah, you know, I
- 39:38Speaker 2: thought the lesson was going to be like put the
- 39:40Speaker 2: devices down now, like maybe we can.
- 39:43Speaker 3: It was like play imagination with your device.
- 39:48Speaker 5: I don't talk about mixed messaging.
- 39:50Speaker 1: That movie was really.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Because I was like, what kid is gonna play pretend
- 39:55Speaker 3: with their iPad? They're gonna be like, I can just
- 39:57Speaker 3: play the game. I was just glad that we finally
- 40:01Speaker 3: saw non white kids playing with toys. It's like, oh, surprise, surprise.
- 40:09Speaker 3: I was like, oh, kids of color play with toys too.
- 40:12Speaker 2: And they still had the little blonde racist kids in
- 40:14Speaker 2: this Doorstruck twins. Yeah yeah, and didn't even motherfuckers come
- 40:21Speaker 2: around at the end.
- 40:22Speaker 3: I'm like, no, yeah, but you laughed at me when
- 40:25Speaker 3: I showed you my toys. Go back inside and play
- 40:29Speaker 3: with your janass iPad.
- 40:33Speaker 5: Now you got a friend.
- 40:34Speaker 1: You know, we don't need you no more anything else before.
- 40:40Speaker 2: I mean, we have not said this, you know, I
- 40:41Speaker 2: gotta I have to say this, you know, Nixon five
- 40:44Speaker 2: congratulations to the New York Knicks. As a Houstonian myself,
- 40:51Speaker 2: I've had a long love hate relationship with the Knicks,
- 40:55Speaker 2: and this year I cannot lie. You know, I've been
- 40:58Speaker 2: I'm living in New York for for in a day now.
- 41:01Speaker 2: I will never call myself a native New Yorker. But
- 41:04Speaker 2: I did finally give in and accept that I'm a
- 41:07Speaker 2: Knicks fan.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:10Speaker 3: I didn't know what was going on until post because
- 41:14Speaker 3: of course it's not my ministry. I literally had to
- 41:16Speaker 3: watch a video to explain the world kept to me.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I said, I just know they do soccer, that's yes,
- 41:21Speaker 3: And there's some finance man in that, so.
- 41:24Speaker 1: This is true soccer. Yeah. I saw a dude from
- 41:27Speaker 1: the I think he was a goalie in.
- 41:29Speaker 3: The Nigeria goalie.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Like my homegirl Nicole had the famous comment on there
- 41:36Speaker 2: that no human being on earth should be just fine.
- 41:39Speaker 2: That is that's yeah. That like, that's my friend. And
- 41:42Speaker 2: she left that comment and I could not disagree with Nicole.
- 41:47Speaker 2: You know, I was like, this dude is like ridiculously attractive,
- 41:51Speaker 2: like and he.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Knows it because all his tiktoks is just like I'm sure.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Yeah, how the fun could you not know it? You know,
- 42:00Speaker 1: with people are like, what are you talking about? Bitch? Please?
- 42:03Speaker 2: Like you know, like come on, you know, like I
- 42:06Speaker 2: met this dude at the party recently and I was like,
- 42:08Speaker 2: you're a model, right, He's like, yeah, I'm a model.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, motherfucking You're like one of the most
- 42:11Speaker 2: handsome men I've ever seen in my life.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Like, you better be fucking modeling. Not what the fuck?
- 42:17Speaker 1: You're stiddy as all hell. You're white. You know you're young,
- 42:22Speaker 1: No model, Yeah, go fucking model, dude.
- 42:25Speaker 3: You probably worked at Abercrombie when you were younger, right.
