[SPEAKER_00]: There will be the dog days of training camp, not for fans as much as players, coaches and media, fans, y'all get to sit up in the bleachers, you got the big ass fans above you, go get some refreshments, all that good stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars did make a lot of draft picks this year, despite trading away their second round pick.

[SPEAKER_00]: They were able to maneuver in some other ways, and they had a lot of draft capital coming into the season.

[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely an interesting topic, and we haven't talked about the rookies a ton lately, so just something to kind of give it a refresher on where the Jaguars are at with all their rookies.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars best, best or highest ceiling outcome for their safety room is Kayla Branson starting because while Andrew Winger had might provide more of a floor than a rookie.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they're smart for the senior role with smart for allowing him to do that and getting eyes on him in that position and that role.

[SPEAKER_00]: the natural instincts that it takes to play safety, because safety is such a position that it relies on your understanding of your defense, of the way Alphins are trying to attack you, and just kind of your natural instinctiveness and smarts out there on the football field.

[SPEAKER_00]: If he can bring that to the table, which you have seen from him at the nickel position, and you saw from him in his limited action in the senior bull,

[SPEAKER_00]: So there's not a lot of stability outside of FOIA and who knows what this organization wants to do at Lymebacker with FOIA Luke in long term.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he'll be on the team, how big of a role he will have will partially be determined throughout training camp and the preseason.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're probably the best special teams player in the draft and I think a pretty darn good safety is pretty good athlete and he's definitely instinctive plays the game smartly.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think he will make the team, but the Jaguars, and he's like an edge slash off ball linebacker, which gives him an advantage over some players who aren't as versatile.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars absolutely view him as someone who can be like a Sam, be on the ball, be off the ball, do a lot of different things for them, and that does give him a leg up because he can provide more with one roster spot than some other players can.

[SPEAKER_00]: it'll be interesting though because there's there's some depth now when you start to look at this defensive front obviously Josh Heinz Allen drove on walker I mean you'll log by the one smoke comes in they also signed Dennis guard act who I think is a similar type of player to jail in McLeod I think you see her dual is a similar type of player to jail in McLeod although I like McLeod a little bit better for this current regime obviously they're the ones that brought him in

[SPEAKER_00]: He also has, you know, I don't think the Jaguars are a team that particularly worries about length, but if you do not have length on the offensive or defensive line, you have to have some other overwhelming traits that help you overcome that length issue.

[SPEAKER_00]: why a myelom who's an interior offensive lineman who was drafted uh... it's going to be up hill sledding for him to make it in my mind i do think they'll try to keep him on the practice quad and if he makes the roster uh... look i mean i think that that definitely means look for it or not on the roster which i don't have him making it either but again like if handsie is the starting center

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's kind of how I view this team right now, interior offense of line-wise, and then I do have two undrafted free agents making the team.

[SPEAKER_00]: his in my mind potentially a plus receiving titan like he's got the talent he's got to stay healthy and he has stayed healthy relatively the last couple years he's been productive he's been versatile he's been useful for organ but trans Ferguson obviously stole the spotlight there I think a Herbert can play and the jackores won't guys that can block and guys who

[SPEAKER_00]: he would have been easily drafted probably early day three sticky sticky cover player really quick feet fluid hips instinctive tough even though he's undersized like five ten one eighty five we'll see what he was officially that's what he was listed at what was he at the combine

[SPEAKER_00]: And one major difference, like, I want to compare him to a dareous Williams, right, who the Rams drafted, who, you know, Liam Cohen and James Ladsdon had been around.

[SPEAKER_00]: Explosiveness as Darius Williams who as an undersized guy really made it in the league and played really well for the Rams and the Jaguars
