- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. And one of my favorite things to
- 0:43talk about when I'm invited to speak at conferences, but also
- 0:46to do in my hypnosis sessions is something called nested loops,
- 0:50which is where you weave stories within stories within stories.
- 0:54And the reason I like that is because it really helps to take
- 0:59either my client or the people listening to my podcast on a bit
- 1:02more of a journey than if it's just linear.
- 1:05Whereas kind of like the movie Inception where you've got
- 1:08dreams within dreams. I quite like to do that within
- 1:11my hypnosis sessions. And what you're about to listen
- 1:14to is a live and and assured. It was only 13 minutes.
- 1:18A live short example of nested loops where I was doing a talk
- 1:24on nested loops to a private group of hypnotherapists based
- 1:28out in the States and I asked them to shout out random things.
- 1:32So for example, a dog beach in San Diego or Machu Picchu in
- 1:37Peru, Hogwarts as a fictional reality, and then even a plane
- 1:43underwater. And what you'll hear is how I
- 1:47open loops in each of the levels and have different suggestions
- 1:51or protocols within each of these levels.
- 1:54And what I like about it, and I call it the inception induction,
- 1:58is because you can get someone to quite a deep place very
- 2:02quickly. And when I started as a
- 2:03hypnotherapist, it would take me about 15 minutes just to do a
- 2:08progressive relaxation and, and a deepener.
- 2:11And now I'm able to do, I mean, the average length of one of my
- 2:14sessions is about 2025 minutes because I'm able to use levels
- 2:19of disassociation as both the induction and the deepener.
- 2:23So if you like this kind of stuff, let me know.
- 2:25And if you are interested to actually see the presentation
- 2:29that I did and perhaps learn more about nested loops, I'm
- 2:32going to put a different link in the show notes.
- 2:35Which will. Give you an example of the
- 2:38various nested loop sessions that I've done in the past and
- 2:41how I structure nested loops. So if that's of interest, check
- 2:45out the description. But for now, find a comfortable
- 2:49place where you're not going to be disturbed.
- 2:51Relax and enjoy. The session.
- 3:21Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 3:29resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 3:34And as you exhale, just allow your eyelids to close.
- 3:39And as they close, become aware of how much easier it becomes to
- 3:47focus on the sound of my voice. Think of a color that represents
- 3:55pure, distilled relaxation. And as you breathe in, imagine
- 4:01breathing in that color of relaxation.
- 4:05And as you exhale, just allow any feelings of tension, stress,
- 4:12or worries to feel like it's leaving your body in your
- 4:17outward breath. Maybe you could imagine that
- 4:22there's something Gray or shadowy.
- 4:25Imagine it leaving your body as you breathe out.
- 4:34And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 4:39And the more relaxed you become, the deeper you breathe.
- 4:44And as your physical body relaxes, your imagination
- 4:51awakens. I wonder if you can keep your
- 4:55physical body exactly where it is and just imagine floating up
- 5:02out of your body, seeing yourself beneath you and
- 5:07floating up into the sky. And just imagine you've got the
- 5:12ability to float or fly or drift.
- 5:17And I want you to imagine drifting all the way to San
- 5:23Diego, to a specific beach filled with joyful dogs.
- 5:34Imagine seeing those happy, playful dogs as you imagine
- 5:40floating down there on the beach.
- 5:45Imagine you're wearing whatever clothing is appropriate to be on
- 5:48that beach. I wonder if you could imagine a
- 5:55chair, a lounger there on that beach, and just imagine what it
- 5:59would be like to lie on that. As I count down from 5:00 to
- 6:051:00, just imagine you're drifting off into a dreamlike
- 6:08sleep. 5 deeper relaxed. 4 drifting deeper still. 3 Filling
- 6:17your arms and legs get limp and loose, all relaxed. 2 That's it,
- 6:24releasing any feelings of tension.
- 6:28And one, just feeling that ripple of relaxation from your
- 6:30toes to the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your
- 6:35fingers. And in this dreamlike sleep, I
- 6:40want you to think of the most joyous, playful dog on that
- 6:44beach and imagine being them, having that unlimited joy.
- 6:55Your pure focus is just playing with a ball, chasing the birds,
- 7:02playing with other dogs. And I want you to feel where you
- 7:06feel that joy inside you, maybe your heart, maybe somewhere
- 7:12else, but expand that feeling of joy.
- 7:15And I want you to imagine somewhere on that beach is a
- 7:23little hole, like a rabbit hole, and just imagine burying down
- 7:29into that hole and feeling like you're falling downwards into
- 7:35that hole. But when you land, how bizarre
- 7:41it is that you've landed in an ancient Inca temple in Peru at
- 7:50the top of a large mountain, You're no longer the dog, you're
- 7:56you. But I want you to feel this
- 7:58intense spiritual connection. Feel how wonderful it would feel
- 8:07to feel connected with something bigger than you.
- 8:11Feel that you're harnessing all of the energy, all of the wisdom
- 8:16from the Incas. And I want you to get a sense
- 8:19that that is activating the neural pathways within you.
- 8:26I want you to feel how wonderful it feels to feel that
- 8:29connection. And I want you to see that
- 8:32glowing ball of energy somewhere in one of those temples, knowing
- 8:37that this is designed for you. But before you go to that
- 8:42glowing ball of energy, I want you to imagine seeing an old
- 8:47ancient book bound in leather, encrusted with gold and jewels.
- 8:56And as you open the book, it's clear that this is a magic book,
- 9:02and you can see a picture of an ancient school of wizardry.
- 9:09And as you stare intently at that building, I want you to
- 9:15imagine stepping into the book and floating down outside this
- 9:21magnificent, ancient building. And it dawns on you.
- 9:27It dawns on you that you are late for a class.
- 9:33And I want you to look down and see your clothes, and you're
- 9:36wearing a school uniform, holding a school bag.
- 9:40And I want you to feel that thirst for knowledge, how
- 9:44wonderful it feels to desire to learn and find your way to that
- 9:52classroom. And I want you to see an
- 9:56eccentric teacher, perhaps wearing robes, strange clothes.
- 10:04And the teacher informs you this is a class to harness the magic
- 10:12of tea leaves to see your future.
- 10:18And as you stare into the tea leaves, those random leaves are
- 10:24revealing a pattern, something exciting, something profound,
- 10:30something wonderful in your future.
- 10:34And as you stare into the leaves, I want you to imagine
- 10:40seeing a future version of yourself enjoying life at a
- 10:45whole new level. I want you to step into that
- 10:51future version of you feel how it would feel to have that
- 10:56experience. And then imagine what it would
- 11:00feel like to see a little toy plane.
- 11:05Imagine shrinking yourself down and climbing into that plane.
- 11:12And as you climb into the cockpit and start to fly that
- 11:16plane, it dawns on you. You are deep underwater.
- 11:23And I want you to imagine flying to a coral reef.
- 11:28See the colorful fish, the wonderful animals, the vibrancy.
- 11:35And somewhere near that coral reef is a treasure chest.
- 11:41And inside that treasure chest is some profound wisdom,
- 11:49something that maybe you always knew but have forgotten or
- 11:54always needed to know, but now can be awakened within you.
- 12:02As you open the treasure chest, I want you to take the most
- 12:06valuable piece of treasure in that chest, knowing it is
- 12:11whatever knowledge and wisdom is most necessary for you.
- 12:17As you hold on to that treasure, feel like you're absorbing that
- 12:21wisdom, that knowledge, that profound insight, and then feel
- 12:29its mission accomplished here in this great coral reef.
- 12:35Close the treasure chest, but hold on to that wonderful
- 12:40resource and then imagine flying back and then climbing out of
- 12:46what is now a toy plane. And that toy plane is the future
- 12:53version of you that is then finding themselves in a
- 12:59classroom in Hogwarts staring at tea leaves.
- 13:03But I want you to take not just the wisdom, but the inspiration
- 13:09of seeing and being your future self.
- 13:12Hold on to that resource as you then feel what it would feel
- 13:17like to walk backwards out of that educational building, float
- 13:25up into the sky, and feel yourself going backwards through
- 13:29the pages of a book, finding yourself there in Machu Picchu.
- 13:35But before you leave that temple, I want you to imagine
- 13:39seeing that glowing ball of energy is still there, a
- 13:43wonderful resource that you need right now to hold up that
- 13:50glowing ball of energy, put it on your chest and absorb that
- 13:54wonderful feeling as you feel that that resource is now within
- 13:59you. You have the wisdom, you have
- 14:04the inspiration, you have that resource, and you feel that
- 14:09spiritual connection. And then imagine floating up
- 14:13through the sky above Machu Picchu and coming out of a hole
- 14:17in the sand as a joyful, playful dog.
- 14:20And I want you to imagine retaining all of that joy, all
- 14:26of that fun, all of that playfulness, and then see
- 14:30yourself there on a lounger and lick your toes just because you
- 14:36can, before then jumping into your body and feeling how you
- 14:41would feel there on that beach of relaxation.
- 14:48But you realize this beach isn't real.
- 14:51It's just a journey in your imagination, A journey of
- 14:58thoughts within thoughts, ideas within ideas, dreams within
- 15:03dreams. So now it's time to return to
- 15:07the present, but taking all of these wonderful insights,
- 15:10connections, resources, and wisdom with you.
- 15:15So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 15:20nose. Just wiggle your fingers, wiggle
- 15:23your toes, connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I
- 15:27now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you starting to count 123
- 15:35waking up. 4. 5-6 More alert. 7-8 Open your eyes.
- 15:41Open your eyes. 910 Wide awake, Wide awake, wide awake.
