- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's Wednesday, October 14th, I'm your host Jordan Aluga and head not to London tomorrow.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty exciting to see the Jaguars take on the Texans.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be previewing that game a lot.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: probably on Friday and Saturday.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'll only have one video instead of the normal two that I would have on Friday and one on Saturday just because you know traveling hang out with family and friends and all that stuff over in London.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: We'll have a full slate today in tomorrow.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, we're getting into our AFC power rankings, exiting week five, heading into week six, excited to get into it.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: I definitely have tears here for this one.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: And so we're gonna go from 16 to one and just talk about like where I'm at with these teams following week five and heading into week six, excited to get into it.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all be in here.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: And also hit that high button.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: is a tier here, and it's the Titans at 16, Dolphins at 15, Chargers at 14.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, the Chargers have been abysmal, but they've been more competitive, I think, and
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: They have obviously some horrible issues just in Herbert is not playing his best football because the offensive line is atrocious, there's injuries all over the place, there's a lot of bad going on with the chargers, but I still think if you pit them against the dolphins or titans, they probably do a merge victorious.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: The titans, that feels like it's a sinking ship right now.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: making noise over here.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: That feels like it's a sinking ship.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the dolphins, I like, like they're coaching and they're playing.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think that this was clearly a rebuilding year for them.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what you're seeing right now.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I just, I don't think that they were serious about trying to compete this year, whereas I think the Titans were.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Chargers were, so vibes wise I would put the Dolphins ahead of the Chargers, but in terms of like if they had to go play a game tomorrow I would pick the Chargers.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: But that is a tier, you know, winless football teams.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: just uninspiring completely.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then I have the Steelers, Jets, Browns, and Colts in the next year.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: So it goes 13 Colts, 12 Browns, 11 Jets, 10 Steelers.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: The Jets just beat the Browns, and the Steelers just beat the Colts, so that's kind of how this goes here.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: I know the Browns have a better record than, I mean, in the standings right now, they're ahead of all these teams.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: I know the Browns beat the Steelers.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: The Browns are in 8th place in the AFC right now.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas the Jets are in 11th, the Colt's are in 12th, right?
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: The Steelers are in 9th.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think that these teams are all groups together right now and like their competitive teams.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: They could give decent teams a run for their money every week, maybe even a good team, but they could also lose to pretty much anybody outside of the bottom tier.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: in the AFC.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a pretty big chunk right there of four teams.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then I have the Raiders at nine and the Bingles at eight.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I would say that that's a tier right there for me right now.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: Really close with the next tier, but yeah, I would say I have those two
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: Love Joe Burrow bingles passing off ends all that stuff, but it still feels like there's a lot of warts there, and I'm just not completely bought in yet with the whole defense with the secondary and just the entire, the linebacker core the entire composition of the defense and so I would put the
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: Raiders at nine and the Bengals at eight.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: The Raiders are very plucky, they're competitive, but you saw some of their issues pop up this past week when they faced the Patriots.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: I have the Broncos by themselves at seven right now, and I know that might sound low.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're currently three and two.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: They beat the Jaguars in Denver.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: When the Broncos are playing in Denver, I'd probably
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: put them in the top four, but they don't get to play all their games in Denver.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that that home field advantage gives them just like the opportunity to beat anyone, but when they're playing on neutral side or on the road, I don't think they're nearly as good.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: And basically, this is just a offensive problem for me.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like the Broncos offense is very, very inconsistent.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like Botanix is just not playing well right now.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: whole play calling situation is difficult, but I still think that their defense is incredible.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I have the Broncos at seven right now, and then I would put the Texans and Patriots in it's here, where I feel like these are both really good teams,
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: but they have had issues early on in the season.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: The Patriots are starting to play better football.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: They've won two in a row.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: They just smoke the Raiders.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans, I don't want to believe in the Texans, obviously as someone in Jacksonville, but CJ Strauss playing a good football.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Their defense, I think, will round into form.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't been playing as good as I would have expected so far this year.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: But it's just so talented to make a Ryan's taking back or taking play calling duties over on the defensive side of the ball.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Patriots are going to be a playoff team.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans, they're one and four.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: If they lose to the Jaguars and fall to one and five, it's going to be difficult to see them even make the playoffs.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: However, if they beat the Jaguars this weekend and get to two and four, they have an extremely favorable schedule moving forward.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: You look at the Texan schedule here.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they have the Giants, the Chargers, the Browns, the Colts, that's four straight games.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: If they beat the Jaguars,
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Texans are going to get, they would be two and four at that point, beat the Giants, three and four, beat the Chargers, four and four, beat the Browns, five and four, and they're right back in it.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: However, if they lose to the Jaguars and fall to one and five, like I said, that could be, that could be it, that could be too much to overcome.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: because they still do have some other teams down the stretch that they're going to be difficult probably with the ravens.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: The Steelers are never like a gimmie gimmie.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: They have to play the Jaguars again.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: They have to play the Eagles and the Packers.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: So if you fall to five losses in week six, I mean, with those remaining teams, that's going to be difficult to kind of run the table or even go,
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: where you only lose one or two more games.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: So the Texans, I kind of feel like they're on the brink of being a really good team, but it might be too little too late if they can't beat the Jaguars.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: And then my top tier, or second tier, is Jaguars Ravens Bills, Bills out four Ravens at three Jaguars at two.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars are the most complete team of that group, but the offense of line is a little bit concerning right now in Jacksonville.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: Not gonna lie to you.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: Outside of that, which is a huge outside of that, right?
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: If your offensive line isn't very good, you're probably not going to be winning many games in January.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: But their defense, their head coach, their quarterback, skill position players, the Jaguars are looking really good overall right now.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: They have one of the best point differentials in football.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: They kind of have an issue like the Broncos though, like I think when they're in a neutral site or on the road,
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: the jags just aren't nearly as good as they are at home and they don't have that many home games so they really, I think, one of two things has to happen.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: They have to streamline their pre-snap communication and operation on the road or they have to get home-vealed manage in the playoffs if they want to run the AFC.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: One of those two things has to happen.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: They've got to get a lot better on the road if they don't win the conference in terms of like the regular season.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's the way it is.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: The Ravens, very good.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's still some issues.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Lamar didn't play.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: You got to get him back.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're not a perfect team, but they're very well coached on both sides of the ball.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: They have a lot of dangerous pieces.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that they're right there.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: And the bills
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Incredible Josh Allen's incredible great offensive line.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: James Cook is obviously it also back even though he just fumbled twice.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: Probably should have cost them the game.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: Defensive line is playing very well, but the linemaker into the secondary, the past coverage is a bismal for the bills right now.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: Each of these teams, I think, has flaws.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: Each of them, I think, is also capable of representing the AFC.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: And the Super Bowl, and then I have the Chiefs at one still.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you give Patrick Mahomes a running back, like Kenneth Walker, a good offensive line overall, and the defense is a lot more to Chiefs back, nor hello's liking, and kind of gives him more ability this year, I think, to
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: to call game the way he wants to and be really aggressive and so I have the chiefs at one.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I picked the Jaguars to represent the AFC and the Super Bowl.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they're well coached enough and talented enough to kind of fix some of the issues we've talked about here, but right now I still would have the chiefs ahead of them in the power rankings heading in to week six here.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to do it for this one.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a great one.
