- 3:58Speaker 3: back quote is by this week, but it's one of
- 4:01Speaker 3: my favorite quotes. And like always, we're gonna go to

- 5:10Speaker 3: on tonight we stand on your word. It says that
- 5:14Speaker 3: everything works together for the good of them that love
- 5:18Speaker 3: the Lord, and we love you. On tonight we give
- 5:21Speaker 3: you honor. In Jesus' name, we pray and once again,
- 5:26Speaker 3: once again, I am your host, Minister Alma Thomas, And
- 5:32Speaker 3: tonight is inspirationing on moments with Providence Tea and on tonight,
- 5:40Speaker 3: before I got on, I was thinking about commitment and
- 5:48Speaker 3: restoring our passion for certain things. We have lost our
- 5:57Speaker 3: passion for Christ. We have lost our passions for the
- 6:03Speaker 3: things that we have committed to. Commitment means making sacrifices.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Commitment means going when you don't want to go doing
- 6:16Speaker 3: when you don't want to do. Sometimes we're in things
- 6:22Speaker 3: and organizations and we don't totally commit to the mission,
- 6:29Speaker 3: to the vision. But in order for anything to work,
- 6:33Speaker 3: you have to have a commitment to that thing, a passion,
- 6:38Speaker 3: and that thing you have to have a passion for change.
- 6:44Speaker 3: A lot of times we talk about things are not
- 6:47Speaker 3: like they used to be. I wish it was like
- 6:50Speaker 3: back in the day. Families don't treat each other like
- 6:54Speaker 3: they used to. Friends don't treat each other like they
- 6:58Speaker 3: used to. People don't go to church like they used to.
- 7:02Speaker 3: People are not loyal like they used to be loyal.
- 7:06Speaker 3: But are you just talking about the problem? Are you
- 7:10Speaker 3: becoming an answer to the problem. I am from this
- 7:16Speaker 3: school of thought that if I can help the problem
- 7:20Speaker 3: and all I can do is talk about it, that
- 7:23Speaker 3: I don't need to be in that organization, I don't
- 7:26Speaker 3: need to be in that friendship. You have to give
- 7:29Speaker 3: one hundred percent. And like I said earlier, commitment is
- 7:34Speaker 3: not just going when you feel like it. Commitment is
- 7:37Speaker 3: not just praying when you feel like it. Commitment is
- 7:41Speaker 3: not like going to church when you feel like it,
- 7:44Speaker 3: But it's doing things when you don't feel like doing
- 7:49Speaker 3: them because you have a commitment to it. I remember
- 7:55Speaker 3: on last week I signed up or Bible College, and
- 8:03Speaker 3: Bibly College meets on Monday and Tuesday, so I wasn't
- 8:10Speaker 3: sure of the times that it meant, but I know
- 8:14Speaker 3: that on Tuesday nights at eight o'clock, I have a
- 8:18Speaker 3: commitment to teach Bible Study at my church. So and
- 8:27Speaker 3: thinking about whether I was going to register for this
- 8:31Speaker 3: class or not, I thought about the commitment I had
- 8:35Speaker 3: to already teaching Bible Study. Yes, I want to increase
- 8:43Speaker 3: my knowledge, but not on the basis of not committing
- 8:49Speaker 3: to the things that I have already committed to. So
- 8:54Speaker 3: when I looked up after, I told the professor that
- 8:57Speaker 3: I said, listen, on Monday nights, I teach Bible Study
- 9:03Speaker 3: at eight o'clock. So if this class is gonna interfere
- 9:06Speaker 3: with it, then I'm not gonna take it until next semester,
- 9:11Speaker 3: when I can give my pastor time enough to get
- 9:16Speaker 3: another teacher. You know, not just quit. But I made
- 9:20Speaker 3: a commitment, and that commitment comes first. And anyway, God
- 9:25Speaker 3: worked it out so that Tuesday night classes are from
- 9:31Speaker 3: seven to eight and I can teach Bible study edit o'clock.
- 9:37Speaker 3: So we're talking about commitment. I realized that I commit
- 9:42Speaker 3: it to something. It's just like the podcast. We can't
- 9:46Speaker 3: take it as a hobby, but something that we committed
- 9:52Speaker 3: to even when we might not feel well, even when
- 9:56Speaker 3: we had a guest and a guest didn't show up.
- 9:59Speaker 3: We we are still committed to these things. So we
- 10:04Speaker 3: have to have commitment. That's what I think is missing
- 10:10Speaker 3: in these last and evil days, that people are not
- 10:16Speaker 3: committed like we used to be committed. Now we do
- 10:21Speaker 3: things based on feeling. If I feel like doing it,
- 10:28Speaker 3: thinking that we're doing somebody in favor, well I showed up.
- 10:32Speaker 3: But if you show up at zero percent, not giving
- 10:36Speaker 3: your or not coming at one hundred percent, not working
- 10:40Speaker 3: in excellence. Because everything you do for God to be
- 10:45Speaker 3: done in the spirit of excellency, not just thrown together,
- 10:50Speaker 3: not just giving God anything, but giving God your best.
- 10:55Speaker 3: It's just like when you take your tithes off, you
- 11:00Speaker 3: give him the first ten percent and then you do
- 11:03Speaker 3: what you gotta do with the rest, but you give
- 11:06Speaker 3: God your best. When you give God your first fruits,
- 11:12Speaker 3: you give God the best. And in order for this
- 11:17Speaker 3: thing to work, we have to be a first part
- 11:20Speaker 3: taker and being committed. It's just like when you're married.
- 11:27Speaker 3: After you're married for a while, you want to renew
- 11:31Speaker 3: your vowels. Some of us need to renew our vowels
- 11:35Speaker 3: to some of the things that we committed to. We
- 11:39Speaker 3: need to go back and redo our first works all
- 11:45Speaker 3: over again. You know, I used to say, I used
- 11:48Speaker 3: to fast every Tuesday. I used to pray every night.
- 11:54Speaker 3: I used to read my Bible every night. For what's
- 11:56Speaker 3: Samarzi now, Zion, Why don't you pray like you used to?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Why don't you fast like you used to, the cares
- 12:04Speaker 3: of this world are nipping away at our commitments, the
- 12:09Speaker 3: things that we committed to in our lives. It's time
- 12:14Speaker 3: for us to do better. So that's what I was
- 12:18Speaker 3: thinking about on today, just commitment and what commitment means.
- 12:26Speaker 3: And then for my inspirational thought today, if you want
- 12:36Speaker 3: something different, you have to do something different. If you
- 12:41Speaker 3: want something that you never had before, then you have
- 12:45Speaker 3: to do something that you never did before. It's just
- 12:49Speaker 3: like they say a fool does the same thing the
- 12:53Speaker 3: same way and expects different results. It's like if you're
- 12:57Speaker 3: biking a cake and you forget to put the bacont
- 13:02Speaker 3: soda in it's not gonna rise. And if you continue
- 13:05Speaker 3: to bake the cake that way, your cakes will never rise.
- 13:10Speaker 3: But if you find out what's missing from your cake
- 13:14Speaker 3: and what's making it not rise, then you'll be able
- 13:19Speaker 3: to make a perfect cake. It's just like if we
- 13:22Speaker 3: look at our lives and see what we're missing, what's
- 13:27Speaker 3: keeping us from living the dream life that God has
- 13:32Speaker 3: given us. God has given us all the tools that
- 13:35Speaker 3: we need to never excuse me, to never be broke
- 13:41Speaker 3: another day in our life, but we don't properly use
- 13:45Speaker 3: those tools. I know that I'm guilty of that. That
- 13:50Speaker 3: God has blessed me with so many gifts and talents,
- 13:56Speaker 3: but I don't use those gifts and talents to my advantage.
- 14:02Speaker 3: I don't use those gifts and talents never to be
- 14:06Speaker 3: broke another day in my life. And sometimes you get
- 14:13Speaker 3: tired of saying I want to do that, but I
- 14:17Speaker 3: can't afford it. And God has given you your gifts
- 14:20Speaker 3: and your talents that you should be able to attend
- 14:24Speaker 3: every confidence you want to attend, and attend every seminar
- 14:28Speaker 3: that you want attend by using the gifts and talents
- 14:32Speaker 3: that God has already given us, but sometimes because of fear,
- 14:38Speaker 3: are not knowing, and a lot of people are not
- 14:41Speaker 3: teachable and coachable. We don't want to admit we just
- 14:46Speaker 3: don't know how. But I'm not afraid to say I
- 14:50Speaker 3: just don't know how to use my gifts and talents
- 14:54Speaker 3: in a different way that they will not only benefit
- 14:59Speaker 3: other people, but they will benefit me as well. So
- 15:05Speaker 3: in my life, I have to find a different way
- 15:09Speaker 3: to use my talents and skills in order to monetize
- 15:15Speaker 3: the gifts and ability that God has already given me.
- 15:20Speaker 3: He said, Now, for years, you're sixty years old, and
- 15:23Speaker 3: for years you've given friendly of your gifts and talents.
- 15:27Speaker 3: But now it's time for you to use your gifts
- 15:32Speaker 3: and your talents wisely. I gave you those gifts, and
- 15:36Speaker 3: I gave you those talents not only just to enhance
- 15:42Speaker 3: the Kingdom of God, but to enhance your life. Also.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Stop living beneath your means. And I'm talking about itself first,
- 15:52Speaker 3: because we always have to be the first partaker of
- 15:58Speaker 3: excuse me, whatever God is in empower in us and
- 16:05Speaker 3: privoting in us to share with others. We have to
- 16:09Speaker 3: make sure that our life is lined up, that our
- 16:13Speaker 3: life is in according to the words that we're doing.
- 16:18Speaker 3: A lot of people talk to talk, but they don't
- 16:21Speaker 3: walk the walk. I want to be able to not
- 16:25Speaker 3: only just talk to talk, but also to walk the walk.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Good email, LaToya, how are you? I always also want
- 16:37Speaker 3: to be able to walk the walk. I don't want
- 16:42Speaker 3: my life to be in the basement for my test cimony,
- 16:46Speaker 3: to be on the roof whatever, whatever, whatever I'm involved in,
- 16:59Speaker 3: I want to be he committed one hundred percent. I
- 17:03Speaker 3: don't want to be halfway in and halfway out. I
- 17:08Speaker 3: want to use the things that God has already given me,
- 17:13Speaker 3: to use what's in my hand. That's what God told Moses,
- 17:18Speaker 3: he said, God, he said, Moses, use what you already
- 17:22Speaker 3: have in your hand, and he used Moses' staff to
- 17:29Speaker 3: do miracles. Depart the Red Sea. Moses didn't go out
- 17:34Speaker 3: looking for anything else, but he used what he had
- 17:38Speaker 3: in his hand. He told the widow woman that the
- 17:43Speaker 3: debtors that were coming to get her sons, and she
- 17:46Speaker 3: didn't have anything left. And the prophet said, well, what
- 17:51Speaker 3: do you have in your house? Use what you have
- 17:54Speaker 3: in your house. And she said, well, I have a
- 17:56Speaker 3: few empty vessels. And he said, well, use those and
- 18:01Speaker 3: borrow some more. Not just a little bit of am,
- 18:04Speaker 3: but borrow enough. We'll go around and ask all your
- 18:10Speaker 3: neighbors if you can have their empty vessels. And the
- 18:14Speaker 3: prophet poured the oil enough or lasted throughout all the vessels,
- 18:20Speaker 3: and she was able to use the vessels that she
- 18:25Speaker 3: had in order to sell the oil and to protect
- 18:32Speaker 3: her family. Sometimes you got to use what is in
- 18:36Speaker 3: your hands and order to provide for you and to
- 18:41Speaker 3: provide for your family. God is good, and God is
- 18:44Speaker 3: all some, and it all works together for the good
- 18:48Speaker 3: of them that love the Lord. When you are going through,
- 18:52Speaker 3: just remember that God gives us the gifts and the
- 18:56Speaker 3: talents that had wealth. God wants us above all to
- 19:01Speaker 3: be prosperous and good health. God wants you to have
- 19:05Speaker 3: the best of the best. Whatever you are committed to,
- 19:11Speaker 3: stay committed to it. Say faithful, don't give just ten percent,
- 19:16Speaker 3: but give one hundred percent of everything that you're in.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Continue to use the gifts and talents that God has
- 19:26Speaker 3: given you to see the manifestation of God's promises in
- 19:31Speaker 3: your life. A God is not a man that he
- 19:35Speaker 3: should lie, nor the son of man that he shall repent.
- 19:39Speaker 3: But every word that proceeds out of the mouth. For
- 19:42Speaker 3: God is gonna go to where it was. Sin is
- 19:46Speaker 3: not gonna come back void. The word of God says
- 19:51Speaker 3: that any weapon formed against you shall not prosper. It
- 19:57Speaker 3: does not say that the weapon won't be formed. It
- 20:01Speaker 3: won't say that the enemy won't try to use weapons
- 20:04Speaker 3: in your life. But it says that it will not proper.
- 20:08Speaker 3: We have to stand on the word of God. We
- 20:11Speaker 3: have to know the word of God. We have to
- 20:14Speaker 3: tell God his word. God, you said, many other afflictions
- 20:18Speaker 3: of the righteous, but you deliver them more other and more. God,
- 20:22Speaker 3: you said, Job said, even though you slay me, yet
- 20:29Speaker 3: will I trust you? Ah, the three Hebrew Boys said, now,
- 20:34Speaker 3: even if he don't do it, I know that he's able.
- 20:38Speaker 3: So on tonight. What I'm really saying is, hold on
- 20:43Speaker 3: to the word of God. Change is gonna come. Don't
- 20:48Speaker 3: give in, don't give out, and don't keep give in.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Just keep holding on to the word of God. A
- 20:59Speaker 3: change Jesus is gonna come. Stay committed to God, make sacrifices,
- 21:06Speaker 3: stay committed to whatever it is that you're in, and
- 21:09Speaker 3: a change is gonna come. Glory be to God. God
- 21:15Speaker 3: is awesome. God is good on tonight. I gotta say
- 21:20Speaker 3: thank you, Hallelujah, thank you Jesus, Halleluiah. I got her
- 21:28Speaker 3: a one more testimony on tonight. You know her that
- 21:33Speaker 3: I had a stroke and I'm in my bed, Holler, Louijah,
- 21:40Speaker 3: and the devil told me how to give in, to
- 21:44Speaker 3: throw in the towel.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Huh.
- 21:46Speaker 3: And don't make no sense to be doing no podcasts.
- 21:51Speaker 3: It don't make no sense to be speaking at no conference.
- 21:56Speaker 3: You can't get up, holler and Louijah. And it was
- 22:01Speaker 3: prophesied to me that I wasn't just local. Glory be
- 22:06Speaker 3: to God. Over twenty years ago. It was prophesie that
- 22:11Speaker 3: I wasn't just local, but God was gonna use me globally.
- 22:17Speaker 3: He Glory be to God. And I put it in
- 22:20Speaker 3: the back of my mind and life happened. And then
- 22:25Speaker 3: about a year ago before my apostle passed away, he's
- 22:30Speaker 3: called me ambassador to the Nations. I said, God, what
- 22:37Speaker 3: are you gonna do? I know that you promise I'm
- 22:41Speaker 3: gonna walk again? So am I gonna walk again? And
- 22:45Speaker 3: then go to Africa, China and Japan spreading your word
- 22:51Speaker 3: on today. As I looked at her at my appointments
- 22:58Speaker 3: at my task, and I got down to complete it.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I read, I've completed over two hundred and fifty conferences,
- 23:11Speaker 3: seminars and podcasts, and I'm not even counting this one
- 23:16Speaker 3: that I do bi weekly. Tell me, won't God use
- 23:20Speaker 3: you in the place hallelujah where you gave up, In
- 23:25Speaker 3: the place where the enemy told you that you was
- 23:29Speaker 3: no good, that nobody was gonna
