- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm
- 0:25Speaker 2: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater. Today we are
- 0:31Speaker 1: starting a brand new series called First Impressions, where we
- 0:34Speaker 1: review the pilot episodes of the series currently streaming on
- 0:38Speaker 1: Hallmark Plus. We're watching it so you don't have to,
- 0:41Speaker 1: but maybe you should. Let's find out before we hop
- 0:45Speaker 1: into our thoughts on our first First impressions, which is
- 0:50Speaker 1: Good Witch notably different from the Good Witch? Talk about it.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Follow us on Instagram where we are Girls Gone Hallmark.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Hey, we have a great Facebook. We would love for
- 1:01Speaker 1: you to join Girls Gone Hallmark in.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Facebook groups, and you can always email us your thoughts,
- 1:06Speaker 2: your opinions, your words might be read on a future
- 1:09Speaker 2: mailbag episode where your Girls Gone Homework.
- 1:12Speaker 1: At gmail dot com.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Email us anything we love to hear from you. Those
- 1:16Speaker 2: mailbag episodes are among my favorites to record. Let's talk
- 1:22Speaker 2: Goodwitch in my mind, I didn't realize so Goodwitch is
- 1:26Speaker 2: a series. It ran for seven seasons on Hallmark twenty
- 1:29Speaker 2: fifteen to twenty twenty one. However, preceding the episodic series,
- 1:33Speaker 2: they had seven movies that were all the Good Witch.
- 1:37Speaker 2: So perhaps they dropped the to make the series distinguishable
- 1:40Speaker 2: from the movies.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yeah, do you know why? I don't. That's my only
- 1:44Speaker 1: guess when you so, Megan texted me and she's like, Hey,
- 1:49Speaker 1: just FYI, there's seven movies before the episode start. Very
- 1:55Speaker 1: similar to kin well, not totally similar, but similar to
- 1:58Speaker 1: sein sealed delivered when we did that. Yeah, weird movies
- 2:02Speaker 1: and then episodes and then movies again. So when she
- 2:06Speaker 1: was trying to tell me like, oh, those are called
- 2:08Speaker 1: the good Witch and these are the episodes are just
- 2:10Speaker 1: called Goodwitch, I'm like, what why would they change the name.
- 2:14Speaker 1: That's so interesting. Yeah, I think it's got to be
- 2:17Speaker 1: just to distinguish the two, Like the good Witch are
- 2:20Speaker 1: the movies, and then Goodwitch is the series. What I
- 2:23Speaker 1: did in my research because you said there's seven movies
- 2:27Speaker 1: that came out before the seven seasons, lots of sevens here, guys.
- 2:33Speaker 1: There was also five additional movies during the seven year run.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So are those movies I'm going to google right now,
- 2:41Speaker 1: are those just called Goodwitch? Whatever? I don't know.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I think those are like special episodes, aren't they? Are
- 2:48Speaker 2: there actual movies?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Well? Chat GBT told me that they were movies, but yeah,
- 2:55Speaker 1: I kind of think they're not. Okay, this is what
- 2:58Speaker 1: I found. During the run of the good Witch television series.
- 3:02Speaker 1: From twenty fifteen to twenty one, Hallmark released five additional
- 3:05Speaker 1: made for TV movies, often referred to as the Halloween Specials.
- 3:10Speaker 1: These specials were typically aired around Halloween and considered part
- 3:13Speaker 1: of the good Witch franchise. So yeah, one, two, three, four, five, Yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 1: they're all Halloween specials, I guess, but a length of
- 3:26Speaker 1: a movie, got it? Instead of the forty five minute
- 3:30Speaker 1: episode weird? This episode, for what it's worth, is also
- 3:34Speaker 1: the length of a movie, yes, which was kind of
- 3:37Speaker 1: bummed about. To be honest, I'm gonna get into it. Okay.
- 3:43Speaker 2: This was a Hallmark original series. Many of the series
- 3:45Speaker 2: that are available to stream on Hallmark are acquisitions, but
- 3:49Speaker 2: Goodwich was a Hallmark original series aired on Hallmark Channel,
- 3:53Speaker 2: created by Hallmark.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Hey, I'm guessing one of the titles that we have
- 3:57Speaker 1: forthcoming the FBI one is an acquisition, probably question Mark
- 4:04Speaker 1: question Mark. I think it probably is, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 4:10Speaker 1: although honestly it's not the craziest thing they've ever done.
- 4:14Speaker 1: So yeah, I guess it's like a Canadian series that
- 4:16Speaker 1: was acquired. Got it all right? You want to run
- 4:19Speaker 1: down these news and notes? Sure? You want me to start.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Goodwitch was created by Craig Price and Sue Tenny. Craig
- 4:26Speaker 1: has thirty five directing credits, which include all seven of
- 4:29Speaker 1: the good Witch movies. He also wrote seventy three episodes
- 4:34Speaker 1: of the series. Sue Tinny is no stranger to Hallmark
- 4:37Speaker 1: and Hallmark Like series. She has been an executive producer
- 4:41Speaker 1: on series like Seventh Heaven, Cedar Cove, and Virgin River.
- 4:46Speaker 1: She was also a writer on all of those series
- 4:49Speaker 1: and is credited with sixty seven episodes of good Witch.
- 4:54Speaker 2: That's a lot of work, a lot of work. Catherine
- 4:57Speaker 2: Bell plays Cassie Nightingale Goodwitch herself. Cassie has been in
- 5:01Speaker 2: several long running series like Army Wives and Jag, as
- 5:04Speaker 2: well as movies like Bruce and Evan Almighty. Her most
- 5:07Speaker 2: recent Hallmark appearances were on Christmas on Cherry Lane and
- 5:11Speaker 2: Happy Holidays from Cherry Lane.
- 5:13Speaker 1: James Ditton joins the good Witch cast as doctor Sam Radford.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Prior to this series, he was best known for his
- 5:20Speaker 1: role as Mike Delfino on Desperate Housewives. He has gone
- 5:25Speaker 1: on to become a staple on Hallmark, appearing in two
- 5:27Speaker 1: Cherry Lane movies, The Real West and A Kiss Before Christmas.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Bailey Madison plays Grace Russell. Bailey has fifty eight acting
- 5:35Speaker 2: credits and appeared on The Fosters as well as Pretty
- 5:37Speaker 2: Little Liar's Original Sin.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Hey f yi, Pretty Little Liar's Original Sin is very scary.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Oh okay, then I won't watch it. Yeah, don't. I
- 5:49Speaker 1: would definitely not watch it. The bad guy has like
- 5:52Speaker 1: a like a like a bag over his head, like
- 5:56Speaker 1: a like a wheat bag or like cornback you know
- 6:01Speaker 1: what I'm talking about, like those burlap sacks. Yes, those
- 6:04Speaker 1: are the words I was looking for. Yeh. Terrifying, terrifying.
- 6:08Speaker 1: It's on HBO Max. It's like a spinoff from like
- 6:12Speaker 1: the original Pretty Little Liars, but it's far scarier considering
- 6:17Speaker 1: it's on like a cable channel like that. Yeah, or
- 6:20Speaker 1: more than the c W. Yeah, very scary. And when
- 6:23Speaker 1: I saw that she was in this movie, I was like, what,
- 6:26Speaker 1: that's the girl from Pretty Little Liars. So I was
- 6:29Speaker 1: excited to see her in the series. All Right, moving on.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Peter McNeil plays George. Peter has a whopping two hundred
- 6:35Speaker 1: and fourteen acting credits and was recently seen in a
- 6:38Speaker 1: nineties Christmas as well as the CW series Sullivan's Crossing.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I'm aware that Sullivan's Crossing was on a Canadian network
- 6:46Speaker 2: before it was on the CW, but just.
- 6:50Speaker 1: United States. That's where it airs, correct.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Catherine Disher plays Mayor Martha Tinsdale. Catherine has acting credits
- 6:57Speaker 2: spanning nearly forty years, and we recently saw in the
- 7:01Speaker 2: three Love on the Danube movies.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Other familiar Hallmark faces include dan Ja Not as Brandon,
- 7:09Speaker 1: Rebecca Dalton plays his wife Tara, and in future episodes,
- 7:13Speaker 1: Jefferson Brown, Kat Beryl and Sarah Power will appear.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Let's take a quick break and then we'll come right
- 7:22Speaker 2: back with the synopsis of season one episode one. All right,
- 7:34Speaker 2: let's hear a synopsis for season one episode one of Goodwitch.
- 7:38Speaker 1: What's funny is our notes say brief synopsis and this
- 7:41Speaker 1: is not one, So tap tap, tap through if you
- 7:44Speaker 1: don't want to hear it. This is Hallmark's very lengthy synopsis.
- 7:47Speaker 1: They're set in the scene Cassie nightingales back as Middleton's
- 7:51Speaker 1: favorite enchantress. You guys, so many times I've had to
- 7:56Speaker 1: say it. And this time she's joined by her teenage
- 7:59Speaker 1: daughter Grace, who shares the same special intuition as her mom.
- 8:03Speaker 1: When Handso doctor Sam Radford and his teenage son moved
- 8:09Speaker 1: to next door to the Gray House, they are immediately
- 8:12Speaker 1: spellbound by the mother daughter duo next door. When Cassie
- 8:16Speaker 1: tries to welcome them with her special magic touch, Sam
- 8:20Speaker 1: and Cassie quickly find that they may not see I
- 8:23Speaker 1: to eye. Then, as Cassie and her family are relean
- 8:28Speaker 1: from a devastating loss, her son Brandon has a shocking
- 8:32Speaker 1: surprise announcement about his future that will cause emotions to
- 8:36Speaker 1: run high. With her signature charm, Cassie attempts to bring
- 8:40Speaker 1: everyone together in time for a powerful event, ensuring all
- 8:44Speaker 1: of Middleton is in for the new changes, big surprises,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and of course a little bit a little bit of magic. Woof.
- 8:53Speaker 2: So here's something interesting. Bailey Madison. You know when it
- 8:57Speaker 2: says it says joined by her teenage daughter Grace. It
- 9:00Speaker 2: didn't occur to me that Bailey is not in the
- 9:04Speaker 2: Good Witch movies.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I have some information about that. Okay, was there
- 9:10Speaker 1: a Grace. No, apparently she was like referenced, Grace is
- 9:15Speaker 1: the baby?
- 9:18Speaker 2: What there was a Grace in the last movie played
- 9:21Speaker 2: by actress Lily Fay Mowbray Grace.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Oh well, okay from what I learned. Now, I'm sure
- 9:29Speaker 1: you know, big good Witch fans are probably yelling at us,
- 9:33Speaker 1: but this is what I learned. So Grace is the
- 9:37Speaker 1: baby of Cassie and her now departed husband. Yes. And
- 9:45Speaker 1: the two older children Brandon and what's the sister, Laury?
- 9:52Speaker 1: They are the children of Cassie's departed husband. Yes, those
- 9:57Speaker 1: are not her kids. And so what I read is
- 10:01Speaker 1: in the movies pre dating the episodes, Grace was like
- 10:06Speaker 1: a baby. She was like not like a walking, talking character. Yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 1: She came on in the episodes as like a emerged
- 10:16Speaker 1: as a you know, a full character. Apparently got it,
- 10:21Speaker 1: got it? Yeah, it makes perfect sense.
- 10:25Speaker 2: All right, So girls, go on. Hallmark listeners may notice
- 10:28Speaker 2: a slight departure. We do have a little bit of
- 10:30Speaker 2: a format change because these episodes are different than a movie.
- 10:33Speaker 2: So we're gonna start with our first take, which is
- 10:36Speaker 2: just our thoughts kind of what we thought about this
- 10:39Speaker 2: pilot episode. It's plot, the people we meet, et cetera. So,
- 10:44Speaker 2: as we've said many times in this episode, we're starting
- 10:46Speaker 2: a series based on pre existing characters. However, I think
- 10:50Speaker 2: they tried really hard to make it a standalone series,
- 10:54Speaker 2: Like you did not need to watch seven movies in
- 10:57Speaker 2: order to come into this series with an unders ending
- 11:00Speaker 2: of who these people are. And there's a lot of backstory,
- 11:03Speaker 2: and obviously we can't get all of it in this episode,
- 11:07Speaker 2: but I personally think that they did a great job
- 11:11Speaker 2: of allowing for new viewers to join the show and
- 11:13Speaker 2: meet the characters and settle in and understand what's going
- 11:17Speaker 2: on here and where we're going. I think the addition
- 11:21Speaker 2: of James Denton and Bailey Madison, but I in my
- 11:26Speaker 2: mind kind of assumed.
- 11:27Speaker 1: She was part of the previous guest.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I think that is a great way to mark the
- 11:31Speaker 2: time between the new series and the movies that aired
- 11:35Speaker 2: prior to it kind of brings in a fresh start
- 11:37Speaker 2: without fully resetting the storyline.
- 11:41Speaker 1: So I agree that it's it's done okay for me
- 11:46Speaker 1: because I did have to google things. I was like,
- 11:48Speaker 1: who are these older children? I don't understand how are
- 11:51Speaker 1: they related? So I think the backstory wasn't totally clear
- 11:59Speaker 1: to me or did I just miss it? I mean
- 12:03Speaker 1: maybe both. I don't know. I mean, they don't like
- 12:07Speaker 1: sit down, They're not like I think a lot of it. Yeah,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I think a.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Lot of has to be inferred, because like Grace talks
- 12:15Speaker 2: to Laurie and Brandon, you know, they talk about Dad
- 12:19Speaker 2: and they reference him. But then Laurie and Brandon obviously
- 12:22Speaker 2: call Cassie Cassie, and Cassie says, like your dad not
- 12:26Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Like, I think a lot
- 12:28Speaker 2: of it has to be inferred.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I suppose. I think that that is the most confusing piece,
- 12:32Speaker 1: like how Laurie and Brandon fit into all of it.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Yes, but I think the rest of it, the town
- 12:39Speaker 2: isn't like this unknowable place. Like we get an immediate
- 12:43Speaker 2: sense of who mayor Martha is. We get an immediate
- 12:46Speaker 2: sense of who Cassie is and these gift that she wields.
- 12:50Speaker 2: We get an immediate sense of like the vibe of
- 12:53Speaker 2: this town. And like I said, I think there's enough
- 12:55Speaker 2: newness that sets this apart on its own, like Sam's
- 12:59Speaker 2: a completely new character. Were obviously launching a completely new
- 13:04Speaker 2: storyline love interest.
- 13:07Speaker 1: This is Hallmark. We know where this is going. So
- 13:10Speaker 1: I don't think you're wrong.
- 13:12Speaker 2: That if there was a piece that could have been
- 13:14Speaker 2: handled better, it would have been the Brandon and Lori connection.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Maybe a previously on but interesting but not previously on.
- 13:24Speaker 1: You know. It's it's weird because it's a completely different,
- 13:27Speaker 1: like departured series from the movies, but not well yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and I mean, are those the same actors? I that's
- 13:37Speaker 1: when I don't know if if like Dan Janott and
- 13:42Speaker 1: the gal that plays Lori, we're in the previous movies.
- 13:45Speaker 1: That's my first question. My second question is do they
- 13:49Speaker 1: continue on in the series. Does Dan Janott continue to
- 13:53Speaker 1: play Brandon for the next seventy five episodes?
- 13:56Speaker 2: Dan Janat is in twenty five episodes of the series asrdon,
- 14:01Speaker 2: and the actress who plays Lorie, Hannah Endicott Douglass, is
- 14:06Speaker 2: only in eight episodes.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Okay, So for me, if I was fully new coming
- 14:14Speaker 1: into this, like I am, I could put aside Brandon
- 14:19Speaker 1: and Laurie's storyline because I would just go, all right, fine,
- 14:23Speaker 1: they're wrapping up those movies that preceded this, right, kind
- 14:27Speaker 1: of like putting up like finishing, closing the loop on
- 14:30Speaker 1: their stories and if they show up as sprinkled throughout
- 14:34Speaker 1: the next seven seasons is fine, Like, I don't need
- 14:38Speaker 1: to know any more information about them. I'm just going
- 14:40Speaker 1: to move forward with Cassie and Grace and all the
- 14:45Speaker 1: new characters.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I think definitely the leading storyline here. The Cassie,
- 14:51Speaker 2: the Grace, the Sam may or Martha Stephanie, all of
- 14:55Speaker 2: those people play a much bigger role going forward. I
- 14:59Speaker 2: keep plinning this, say, Dan Brandon's police storyline, in my
- 15:03Speaker 2: mind plays his marriage storyline is the more interesting piece
- 15:07Speaker 2: to me, and get like a very small glimpse of
- 15:10Speaker 2: that at the beginning of this episode, and then it's
- 15:12Speaker 2: never revisited. It does come back around that much.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I remember.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I don't remember the resolution of that. But the actress
- 15:19Speaker 2: who plays his wife, who was a Hallmark actress, Rebecca Dalton,
- 15:24Speaker 2: is in this series.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I did not even recognize her. That was her at
- 15:30Speaker 1: the beginning where they're in like the cafe or whatever,
- 15:33Speaker 1: having kind of an argument. No, never mind, that's season.
- 15:36Speaker 2: There's an actress name Ashley Legatt who puyes her. It's
- 15:40Speaker 2: not her, So Rebecca they twitch actresses.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yeah, Rebecca comes in in season two. It's so funny
- 15:47Speaker 1: that they swap out the terrorists totally. And while we
- 15:51Speaker 1: were watching, I took a picture of baby dan Jana.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I was like, is this pin strip from the Bowl type?
- 15:58Speaker 1: I couldn't recall his name. I know he's a Hallmark actor,
- 16:01Speaker 1: but you know, yeah, it was him. Let me tell
- 16:06Speaker 1: you so you thought no, let me let me ask
- 16:09Speaker 1: you you thought Brandon and his wife's storyline was of
- 16:13Speaker 1: interest to you in this pilot episode. It just made
- 16:16Speaker 1: me want to know more. We don't know much about it,
- 16:18Speaker 1: Like we see them having a disagreement, She's frustrated with him,
- 16:21Speaker 1: she feels unsupported, she leaves, and then we never hear
- 16:24Speaker 1: from her again for the rest of the episode. And
- 16:26Speaker 1: then we're more in on Brandon becoming a police officer
- 16:29Speaker 1: and the worry that this causes his family, And so
- 16:33Speaker 1: to me, I just feels like there's more story to
- 16:35Speaker 1: tell there, gotcha? Well, I gotta tell you. Brendan and
- 16:39Speaker 1: Laurie I did not care, Like I was like, after
- 16:43Speaker 1: I googled to find out like who they were coming
- 16:45Speaker 1: into this, I was like, I don't care. I don't care.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think you're meant, you're certainly not
- 16:50Speaker 2: meant to care about them as much as you care
- 16:52Speaker 2: about everybody else, Sam and Cassie and Grace. Yeah even Okay,
- 16:57Speaker 2: So can I talk about some of the characters.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Yeah. I was immediately charmed by Cassie. Yeah, I super
- 17:06Speaker 1: drawn to her character. I thought Catherine Bell was great.
- 17:10Speaker 1: There was something captivating about her. I was really drawn
- 17:15Speaker 1: to like her magical abilities, and I had read online
- 17:21Speaker 1: that it was really toned down in the episodes versus
- 17:25Speaker 1: the movies. Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I haven't seen the movies, but when you look at
- 17:29Speaker 2: the posters, they give me like a little bit of
- 17:31Speaker 2: like witchy hokeiness, and we don't get that in the series,
- 17:36Speaker 2: which I like, Like, I don't want to see her
- 17:38Speaker 2: like casting secret spells.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It's just like suggested. It's just like this lightwash of
- 17:43Speaker 1: like maybe she's a witch, but they never actually call
- 17:46Speaker 1: it out right. Yeah, I mean it's fine that like
- 17:50Speaker 1: she has some sort of intuition or whatever. I can
- 17:54Speaker 1: totally get down with that. I mean, if I can
- 17:56Speaker 1: get that you can time travel via Pond, I can
- 18:00Speaker 1: get with a lady kind of having magical abilities. Sure, right, Anyway,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I thought that Cassie and Catherine Bell, Like the character
- 18:14Speaker 1: and the actor alone could get me to continue to
- 18:18Speaker 1: watch the series.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, this show, especially her character, it's kind of like
- 18:23Speaker 2: a weighted blanket of television, Like it's just, yeah, so
- 18:26Speaker 2: soothing to watch. I talk more about Catherine Bell a
- 18:29Speaker 2: little bit later on in this episode, but I really
- 18:32Speaker 2: love Cassie a lot.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I just love the vibe of the show, like I
- 18:37Speaker 1: just for me. I can see why they got seven
- 18:41Speaker 1: seasons out of it because it's just so watchable, like
- 18:45Speaker 1: you can just put it on and just let it
- 18:47Speaker 1: wash over you. And even the mayor.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Who is kind of a troublemaker, is not causing problems
- 18:54Speaker 2: in like a stressful way.
- 18:56Speaker 1: It's not firing me up.
- 18:57Speaker 2: She's just like kind of getting in there and making
- 19:00Speaker 2: things happen and being a little bit difficult and like
- 19:03Speaker 2: causing a little bit of conflict, but in an amusing way,
- 19:07Speaker 2: not in a way that's like I gotta say things
- 19:09Speaker 2: about this person sort of way.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? I do? I didn't.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I didn't love her. I wondered if they tone her
- 19:17Speaker 1: down going forward. You tell me you watched three seasons
- 19:20Speaker 1: of it. It's not my recollection that they tone her down. No,
- 19:24Speaker 1: I mean I loved her on the Danube Movies. I
- 19:28Speaker 1: just thought though this character was a little like kind
- 19:32Speaker 1: of an annoying nat a little bit. But I bet
- 19:36Speaker 1: she goes on to do like good things well, and
- 19:39Speaker 1: I think we get a little more of her backstory.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I think we start to understand her a little bit
- 19:42Speaker 1: more later in that series. Yeah, if I like this
- 19:45Speaker 1: power hungry small town mayor, yeah, exactly, like if I
- 19:48Speaker 1: understood her motivations, which I'm sure we'll get to that, Like,
- 19:52Speaker 1: you can't put that all in a pilot episode, right, No,
- 19:56Speaker 1: And that's kind of another thing I like about this
- 19:58Speaker 1: episode is it sets up a lot to dig through,
- 20:01Speaker 1: a lot to look forward to.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Obviously, I think we're setting up. I mean, I know
- 20:06Speaker 2: we're setting up, but even if I hadn't seen the
- 20:07Speaker 2: series would be pretty obvious. We're setting up for a
- 20:11Speaker 2: romance between Sam and Cassie, and they've got a lot
- 20:14Speaker 2: of work to do to get there because their relationship
- 20:18Speaker 2: is a little bit contentious. But what I kind of
- 20:20Speaker 2: like is that Sam's kind of a jerk. That's not
- 20:23Speaker 2: what I like. What I like is kind of.
- 20:26Speaker 1: No, no, No, I know, I'm not suggesting he's not
- 20:29Speaker 1: a jerk. He is.
- 20:31Speaker 2: What I like about that is that Cassie doesn't really
- 20:34Speaker 2: respond to him. She doesn't take the bait. She's kind
- 20:38Speaker 2: of just like, like, I know who I am, I
- 20:43Speaker 2: know what I can do. I understand like your life's
- 20:45Speaker 2: a little bit challenging right now. I feel like in
- 20:48Speaker 2: the back of her mind, Cassie's like, this dude just
- 20:51Speaker 2: moved to a new town with his son, who is
- 20:53Speaker 2: not happy to be here. Obviously there's a backstory there.
- 20:56Speaker 2: She gives him a little bit of grace while still
- 20:59Speaker 2: holding him up accountable and kind of pushing him to
- 21:04Speaker 2: be better. When she talks to him about the trouble
- 21:06Speaker 2: she's having with her father in law, she's like, look,
- 21:08Speaker 2: you need to get him to trust you, Like we
- 21:10Speaker 2: need to figure out what's going on. I feel like
- 21:14Speaker 2: she's pushing him to be the person in the town
- 21:17Speaker 2: needs him to be. And I like that she's the
- 21:20Speaker 2: bigger person. We don't see that a lot in these
- 21:23Speaker 2: Hallmark movies where we get some contention. We've seen a
- 21:27Speaker 2: lot of like bitchy women, and I think it's a
- 21:31Speaker 2: little bit of a reverse here. And she takes the
- 21:33Speaker 2: high Road, and I like that.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I wish I could be more like Cassie. Yeah. No, me,
- 21:38Speaker 1: I'm not like screw you. Yeah, I'm not poisoning people
- 21:42Speaker 1: with my herbs. Get the hell out of here. What
- 21:43Speaker 1: do you think? Yeah? Yeah, yeah yeah. I didn't love
- 21:47Speaker 1: doctor Sam. I just kind of thought, like, what a jerk.
- 21:50Speaker 1: But he's so smug. I just look, I get it.
- 21:55Speaker 1: The show went on for seven seasons. I'm sure they
- 21:58Speaker 1: probably really end up Mary. In fact, I think I
- 22:01Speaker 1: know they get married at some point, right, m hmmm.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I mean it doesn't go on forever. I'm glad. I
- 22:08Speaker 1: wonder do you know what season they get married in?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Because I don't know how many seasons I could take
- 22:12Speaker 1: of them, like being contentious with each other, No, no,
- 22:16Speaker 1: I don't think the contentiousness lasts long. Okay, good, good good.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I loved teenage Grace. Yeah. I loved her vibe. I
- 22:26Speaker 1: liked that she was smart. I like that she inherited
- 22:30Speaker 1: Cassie's intuition. Plus I was super into her high school storyline.
- 22:37Speaker 1: It was like this stuff that was happening at school
- 22:40Speaker 1: and with her friends, Like I was drawn to that
- 22:44Speaker 1: as much as I was drawn to Cassie and her
- 22:48Speaker 1: job and her whatever. She kind of is like a
- 22:53Speaker 1: little bit Rory Yomore to me. Oh, totally, Like she's
- 22:58Speaker 1: like the Hallmark Rory Yomore. I like that too. She's
- 23:01Speaker 1: so smart, she's almost you know, they're not like Rory and.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Laura I because I feel like Kathy has her shit
- 23:09Speaker 2: together more than Laura I does. But she's just like
- 23:15Speaker 2: kind of above all of the high school shenanigans while
- 23:18Speaker 2: still forcibly being in it. But I speaking of things
- 23:21Speaker 2: that this show sets up that I like, which I
- 23:23Speaker 2: was talking about and talking about Grace, like there's a
- 23:27Speaker 2: lot to deal with her. Like we got the Grace
- 23:28Speaker 2: and Nick. We got Grace and her best dude friend
- 23:31Speaker 2: whose name I don't remember at all, Like he does
- 23:34Speaker 2: not like that Grace and Nick are becoming friends.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's like soapiness. I'm into. Yes, Like that's like
- 23:42Speaker 1: high school drama light. I love it.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I also love that we have like it's like dual
- 23:46Speaker 2: love triangles because Stephanie is clearly all in on Doctor
- 23:50Speaker 2: Sam too.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Like Stephanie a lot. She's just so fun. I agree. Okay,
- 24:00Speaker 1: I have a question and it's gonna come later. It's
- 24:05Speaker 1: it's later in my notes, but I'm going to ask
- 24:07Speaker 1: it now. Yeah. Am I misreading the vibes between Grace
- 24:17Speaker 1: and Nick in what way? Well? To me, it seems
- 24:23Speaker 1: potentially romantic. But if their parents end up married, then
- 24:28Speaker 1: they become step siblings. What's happening here? Yeah, I hear you.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I actually I couldn't remember what happened and I just
- 24:38Speaker 2: googled it. I think you're I think you're good. I
- 24:41Speaker 2: think there is some like some potential, like they're trying
- 24:47Speaker 2: to set some uncertainty out there, like what's going to
- 24:51Speaker 2: be the direction they go. But I think, knowing what
- 24:56Speaker 2: we can assume about Cassie and Sam, we're safe, Like
- 25:00Speaker 2: they're just going to be friends.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah. I was like, oh, I'm into this like
- 25:06Speaker 1: love triangle they're setting up, and I was like, wait,
- 25:08Speaker 1: wait a minute, love triangle because I'm thinking of like
- 25:13Speaker 1: the other dude friend she has, right, Yes, but if
- 25:19Speaker 1: Grese and Nick like what, I just couldn't I'm confused. Yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I think they I think they developed more of like
- 25:26Speaker 2: a brother sister vibe, and I think that's hinted at
- 25:29Speaker 2: in this episode where she kind of takes on the
- 25:31Speaker 2: role of protector. You know when he's like, oh, we're
- 25:35Speaker 2: scaping in school and she's like, I wouldn't do that,
- 25:37Speaker 2: And you know, I just think I think both things
- 25:40Speaker 2: are true. I think we're meant to believe like, oh,
- 25:43Speaker 2: her friend is obviously feeling immediately threatened by Nick's presence,
- 25:47Speaker 2: and I don't think he's feeling threatened by him being
- 25:50Speaker 2: another friend of hers.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Agree, exactly, exactly. I have a couple more things. Yeah,
- 25:59Speaker 1: I'm into the town of Middleton. We talked about Rory
- 26:03Speaker 1: and LORELEI, yeahs ago there. This this does give like
- 26:09Speaker 1: a Hallmark version of Stars Hollow to me. Yeah, not
- 26:13Speaker 1: like quirky characters, well, kind of quirky characters, I guess,
- 26:17Speaker 1: with the mayor and Stephanie and like yea, yea, yeah, yeah, yea,
- 26:19Speaker 1: yeah for sure, but like we have like Cassie's bookstore,
- 26:23Speaker 1: and then we have the doctor's office, and we have
- 26:26Speaker 1: like the high school. It's all these like familiar landmarks
- 26:31Speaker 1: that I could see becoming like welcoming visuals. Yes.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Well, and when Sarah Howard joins the show, she opens
- 26:40Speaker 2: like a flower store slash chocolate shop. Oh see, so
- 26:46Speaker 2: that's like really hitting those vibes as well.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I loved it. I loved it. One final thing
- 26:52Speaker 1: you talked about the pilot having, you thought it set
- 26:57Speaker 1: it up well, like a lot of stories that we
- 26:59Speaker 1: could like take into the as the series goes on.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I agree with you, And this is sometimes where pilots
- 27:06Speaker 1: like go sideways for me when there's too much, because
- 27:10Speaker 1: we know they have to set up all the stuff
- 27:12Speaker 1: so you will continue to come back. But when there's
- 27:15Speaker 1: too much, I kind of like tapped out. It's similar
- 27:19Speaker 1: to when I watch a Hallmark movie where there's like
- 27:21Speaker 1: too many storylines, too many people, too many actors, and
- 27:24Speaker 1: I just kind of have to like focus on like
- 27:27Speaker 1: the main characters. That's the feeling I was feeling while
- 27:32Speaker 1: watching this. It was like a lot of subplots. Yeah,
- 27:35Speaker 1: I feel like they needed that.
- 27:37Speaker 2: They felt like they needed to really wrap up the
- 27:39Speaker 2: Jake storyline in this episode while also introducing those two characters,
- 27:44Speaker 2: and perhaps all the Jake stuff could have been episode
- 27:48Speaker 2: two right, like they mildly referenced him while we're meeting Sam.
- 27:52Speaker 2: But like I can understand their motivation to getting that
- 27:55Speaker 2: memorial done. Like the actor has left the series, they
- 27:58Speaker 2: need to put a button on it, so they do
- 28:01Speaker 2: this like mega movie length episode, like double episode. Basically
- 28:06Speaker 2: there was a lot absolutely happening.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Question for you, do you know why the original actor
- 28:13Speaker 1: left the episode or left the series?
- 28:15Speaker 2: It was by choice. He was either doing something else
- 28:18Speaker 2: or wanted to leave. M okay, But my understanding is
- 28:22Speaker 2: like they were leaving of their own volition.
- 28:25Speaker 1: So this series or the franchise or whatever had enough
- 28:29Speaker 1: like fan following that they're like, okay, let's pivot to
- 28:34Speaker 1: these episodes then with certainly must have brand news storyline,
- 28:38Speaker 1: very very interesting and risky. Yeah interesting, all right, anything else?
- 28:45Speaker 1: That's all I got for my first takes. All right,
- 28:47Speaker 1: So we're gonna talk.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Is it giving Hallmark the Hallmark test? Because some of
- 28:51Speaker 2: these are Hallmark and some of them are not, And
- 28:55Speaker 2: for me, this feels classically Hallmarked.
- 29:00Speaker 1: So interesting.
- 29:01Speaker 2: The drama is very mild meddling mayor a kid rebelling
- 29:06Speaker 2: against his parent by skipping school, mild contention between our
- 29:09Speaker 2: future love and tests like, it's all very like, very
- 29:13Speaker 2: surface drama, but it's also like, we know we have
- 29:17Speaker 2: a love story, we know we have a happily ever after.
- 29:20Speaker 2: To me, while I do think it's well done Hallmark,
- 29:24Speaker 2: it feels like Hallmark.
- 29:25Speaker 1: To me, what about you? I agree. I definitely agree
- 29:28Speaker 1: with that it's hitting all those typical Hallmark tropes that
- 29:33Speaker 1: make it feel classically Hallmark. However, I did think there
- 29:38Speaker 1: were a few little lines that made me pause dialogue
- 29:45Speaker 1: that oh uh huh, that doesn't seem like Hallmark, but
- 29:49Speaker 1: a I don't know. Like for example, one of them
- 29:52Speaker 1: a real standout to me was Grace says something about
- 29:57Speaker 1: she's been I wrote it down. Hold on, I've been
- 30:00Speaker 1: watching Carbs since I could spell. She says, I haven't
- 30:04Speaker 1: had a carb since I could. Oh, that's what it is, elin, Yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 1: so you've bumped on it too, right.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Yes, I wrote it down. Where is my Oh, I
- 30:13Speaker 2: haven't had a carb since I learned how to spell?
- 30:15Speaker 2: I actually wrote, Ick, I don't like that.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I don't like that either, but I'm like, okay, twenty
- 30:20Speaker 1: fifteen feels like classic diet culture. Yes, uh huh, but
- 30:26Speaker 1: I hate that it's coming from a teenager who then
- 30:29Speaker 1: referenced that she's been watching car haven't eaten a carb
- 30:32Speaker 1: since she was a young child like them. Ick is right, yeah,
- 30:38Speaker 1: especially in this moment where she's like trying to figure
- 30:41Speaker 1: out like her outfit if she's got the right look.
- 30:43Speaker 1: And then she basically references her weight in a roundabout way,
- 30:45Speaker 1: and I was like, oooh, that commented on age well,
- 30:48Speaker 1: and I do not like it. It very much stood out, Yes,
- 30:52Speaker 1: but does not seem like Hallmark either, right.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you're right. I mean Sam says like
- 30:59Speaker 2: a love stress, thrive on it. You know, some of
- 31:01Speaker 2: these like moments feel like Sam has some great line he.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Does, please tell me, I want you to say the
- 31:08Speaker 1: next line. Oh, well, I don't know if it's the same.
- 31:11Speaker 2: But when he says to his son, I'm going to
- 31:13Speaker 2: explain the difference, you know why and it need it.
- 31:15Speaker 1: It's gonna blow your mind. Yes, I don't know if
- 31:20Speaker 1: this is because we have teenage kids, but I was like, Samn,
- 31:23Speaker 1: that's a great line. Yeah, and I we didn't talk
- 31:26Speaker 1: about this.
- 31:27Speaker 2: But I also like, that's a whole other unexplored storyline
- 31:31Speaker 2: like why did Sam? We know why they had to move,
- 31:33Speaker 2: but like where's Nick's mom? Why does Sam have full custody?
- 31:36Speaker 2: What's the backstory there? What's going on all of this?
- 31:39Speaker 1: Does it come later? Yes? Okay, because truly, as I'm
- 31:44Speaker 1: watch I don't remember it. But yes, as I'm watching.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I was like, am I gonna continue watching this? Like
- 31:52Speaker 1: this is good enough that I would probably throw it
- 31:55Speaker 1: on and be a show that I don't have to
- 31:58Speaker 1: watch that closely. But I'm like, maybe it is. Maybe
- 32:03Speaker 1: it is going to be my next show. I don't know.
- 32:05Speaker 2: All right, let's talk the cast. Some standout characters. Okay,
- 32:11Speaker 2: we talked about Cassie. I love Catherine Bell. You never
- 32:15Speaker 2: watched Army Wives, Nope, I watched every season. I've never
- 32:19Speaker 2: seen Jag. She was in many seasons of that, obviously.
- 32:21Speaker 2: She's been in a few Homewark movies as well. She
- 32:24Speaker 2: just has this incredibly calm energy about her, and personally,
- 32:31Speaker 2: I think Cassie Nightingale is her ideal persona. I will
- 32:34Speaker 2: never see her and not see her as Cassie Nightingale.
- 32:37Speaker 2: I just think her vibe. I love her if she
- 32:40Speaker 2: were my mom, like the vibe that she brings. She
- 32:43Speaker 2: just seems to have it all together as mom, as stepmom,
- 32:47Speaker 2: as this town matriarch kind of that everybody turns to
- 32:50Speaker 2: for advice and support.
- 32:53Speaker 1: I love Catherine Bell a lot, yet it feels her
- 32:56Speaker 1: character feels aspirational, right, Yeah, Yeah, That's why I feel
- 33:00Speaker 1: so connected to it. I'm like, oh, I love what
- 33:02Speaker 1: she's putting out there, and I want to be her.
- 33:07Speaker 1: That is truly why I think I would tune back
- 33:09Speaker 1: in and watch the show again, because I'm so drawn
- 33:13Speaker 1: to a character. Yeah more Cassie, Yeah yeah, yeah. Speaking
- 33:19Speaker 1: of Cassie and Doctor Sam and chemistry, like, okay, fine,
- 33:25Speaker 1: he's a grump and there's some contention between the two
- 33:28Speaker 1: of them, but it was flirty from go right, Like
- 33:33Speaker 1: it felt fireworky to me. Yes, I agree, So I
- 33:39Speaker 1: was pleased with that. I mean, I guess it's going
- 33:42Speaker 1: to be a slowburn, but like instantly I was like, Okay,
- 33:47Speaker 1: they're popping off together. You know, I fully agree.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I think I think they're well matched, and I think
- 33:55Speaker 2: there's a reason why they're in those Cherry Lane movies together.
- 34:00Speaker 1: See. I didn't even realize that I remember him, you know,
- 34:05Speaker 1: I always get him confused with the other actor that
- 34:09Speaker 1: really looks like him. There's another James. We always knew this, Yes,
- 34:14Speaker 1: isn't it. Yeah, he was.
- 34:15Speaker 2: In another movie with Terry Hatcher. Yes, yes, yes, I'm
- 34:19Speaker 2: looking up Terry Hatcher's IMDb. I'm gonna reverse engine near this.
- 34:24Speaker 2: They were in mid Love crisis together helping go Yes,
- 34:29Speaker 2: Oh my.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Gosh, James Tupper, Yeah, I get them confused.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Although, oh, this photo he has on IMDb is is
- 34:38Speaker 2: a younger James Tupper. Okay, yeah, and they have a
- 34:41Speaker 2: similar vibe. But yes, I think the fact that they
- 34:45Speaker 2: went on to play a couple in another series of
- 34:49Speaker 2: movies speaks speaks to their chemistry. Totally, totally, totally well.
- 34:54Speaker 1: And I loved James Denton in that Western, in that
- 35:01Speaker 1: Western movie with Kim Sestid, The Real West. I mean,
- 35:05Speaker 1: that's like a perfect role for him too. That was
- 35:08Speaker 1: a great This kind of like sun Tanned Cowboy was
- 35:13Speaker 1: so good. I wish they would make episodes of that movie. Yeah.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I enjoy him as an actor. I think I totally
- 35:25Speaker 1: agree with. However, this doctor character. I hope he changes
- 35:31Speaker 1: because I just was kind of turned off with what
- 35:34Speaker 1: a jerk he was. Yeah, that's not his vibe throughout
- 35:37Speaker 1: the series, for sure. Okay, good, good, good, Good to know.
- 35:39Speaker 2: He's he's just pushing back on it all. He got
- 35:42Speaker 2: baited and switched come into small town by Mayor Martha.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he was real disappointed with his office space.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yes, and all the things that he was promised by her.
- 35:53Speaker 2: I know she oversold the position, and I always got
- 35:56Speaker 2: this teenager at home who's pissing him off, just got
- 35:59Speaker 2: a short he was because of it.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I guess I can relate.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I know you're not super excited about the character of Brandon,
- 36:06Speaker 2: but I gotta say I am happy to have baby
- 36:07Speaker 2: Pinstripe in this series, that familiar face. I don't remember
- 36:12Speaker 2: Jefferson Brown joining the series, but evidently he does. I'm
- 36:17Speaker 2: excited to see his recurring character.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Oh so, wait, you're gonna continue to watch it? I mean,
- 36:22Speaker 1: I've seen like so many seasons.
- 36:24Speaker 2: I don't know who knows what I'm gonna do. Who
- 36:27Speaker 2: knows what I'm gonna do. I'm not opposed to continuing
- 36:30Speaker 2: to watch it. And look, I know you found me
- 36:33Speaker 2: or Martha annoying, and I don't think that's an incorrect take.
- 36:38Speaker 2: But I when I think of the casting, I can't
- 36:40Speaker 2: think of anybody else other than Katherine Disher that I
- 36:42Speaker 2: would want playing that character, because I think there's something
- 36:45Speaker 2: about Katherine Disher's vibe that makes her a little bit forgivable.
- 36:50Speaker 2: While she's kind of being mettlesome and a pain in
- 36:55Speaker 2: the ass, quite frankly, there's something about her that even
- 36:59Speaker 2: though I'm like, ugh, may Or Martha, like added again,
- 37:02Speaker 2: I also kind of letter let her just roll with it?
- 37:07Speaker 1: Got it all right?
- 37:09Speaker 2: It's time for us to design. Are we gonna keep
- 37:12Speaker 2: watching or are we done? Are we gonna skip it?
- 37:16Speaker 2: What are you landing on that one?
- 37:18Speaker 1: Well? I think I would definitely keep watching this series,
- 37:22Speaker 1: especially if the listeners emailed us or messaged us and
- 37:28Speaker 1: said like, yes, this is what you need to look
- 37:30Speaker 1: forward to. This is a great series. These are the
- 37:33Speaker 1: storylines that are coming up. Stick with doctor Sam, stick
- 37:37Speaker 1: with mayor Martha. Is it Martha? Yes? Okay, So if
- 37:43Speaker 1: I got some reinforcement like yes, it's good, then I
- 37:47Speaker 1: would definitely stick with it. Yeah, Like, is this the
- 37:50Speaker 1: kind of series we could be reviewing? Yeah? My only
- 37:54Speaker 1: wish is this. I do wish there was more magic
- 37:59Speaker 1: to it. I know you think it's kind of hokey,
- 38:02Speaker 1: but like I kind of think it's hokey. I think
- 38:04Speaker 1: it has the potential to be hokey. Well remember the
- 38:07Speaker 1: recall Oh Nikki Di Looch. Yeah, that's my concern. Yeah,
- 38:17Speaker 1: where they're like because the posters give the same vibe.
- 38:21Speaker 1: I agree Yeah. What I remember from that movie is
- 38:24Speaker 1: like a blender that goes crazy and like, yes, like
- 38:30Speaker 1: too cheesy.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, Well, as I mentioned, I have seen many
- 38:35Speaker 2: seasons of this show. Obviously, you know. I didn't watch
- 38:38Speaker 2: it as a reviewer. I watched it as like a
- 38:41Speaker 2: my kid wanted to watch TV with me, and so
- 38:42Speaker 2: I just like was hanging out on.
- 38:44Speaker 1: The couch vibe and with the show.
- 38:47Speaker 2: So I don't remember a lot of it, but I
- 38:49Speaker 2: do find this show highly watchable. It's soothing. I think
- 38:55Speaker 2: people who love Hallmark would vibe with the show, would
- 38:59Speaker 2: be all in on what.
- 39:00Speaker 1: It has to offer. It's very familiar and comfortable to
- 39:05Speaker 1: the average Hallmark watcher in my opinion. Yeah, I agree.
- 39:09Speaker 2: We did reach out asking for some listener comments on
- 39:12Speaker 2: this show, and I'd like to share a few with you.
- 39:15Speaker 2: First up, Cheryl says, I loved Goodwitch so much.
- 39:17Speaker 1: I really loved the movies. They were more mystical.
- 39:20Speaker 2: And magical in my opinion, And it was a bummer
- 39:23Speaker 2: that Chris Potter didn't want to Slash couldn't do the.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Series's is that James character?
- 39:28Speaker 2: Okay, James Denton was a great ad though to the series,
- 39:32Speaker 2: and I liked Sam's relationship with Cassie. George was a
- 39:35Speaker 2: great sounding board as the series went on. I did
- 39:38Speaker 2: miss the original kids. I thought Stephanie, Abigail, and especially
- 39:42Speaker 2: Martha added color and levity. I didn't love the last season,
- 39:46Speaker 2: particularly I thought there was too much of Cat Barrell's
- 39:48Speaker 2: character and I never warmed to her.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I felt like she was bratty. Andrea says, are y'all
- 39:56Speaker 1: about to start watching The Good Witch? Question Mark? Question Mark?
- 39:59Speaker 2: I started binge it and the movies during the early
- 40:01Speaker 2: days of the pandemic. It isn't something I usually watch,
- 40:05Speaker 2: almost too wholesome, but I really enjoyed it. I hope
- 40:07Speaker 2: this is something y'all are about.
- 40:09Speaker 1: To take on. Ooh, too wholesome is interesting. I don't
- 40:15Speaker 1: like too wholesome, and I don't think this first movie
- 40:20Speaker 1: was especially too wholesome, particularly because some of the dialogue.
- 40:26Speaker 1: But does it lean that way? I don't know. Here's
- 40:33Speaker 1: the thing. Sue Tinney, who is one of the executor,
- 40:38Speaker 1: executive producers, and writer, I mean, she did Seventh Heaven
- 40:43Speaker 1: that was pretty wholesome. No, yeah, she did.
- 40:47Speaker 2: She also did Virgin River, which is less wholesome. Okay,
- 40:51Speaker 2: all right, our final comment is from Michelle, who says
- 40:55Speaker 2: good which is a fun theories which started as movies
- 40:57Speaker 2: airing one to two times a year. I love the characters,
- 41:00Speaker 2: the magical feel of the storyline, nothing too serious and
- 41:03Speaker 2: often predictable about worth a watch. James Denton and Catherine
- 41:07Speaker 2: Bell have great chemistry too. Oh hey, I will say,
- 41:11Speaker 2: if you are considering adding a new series of reviews
- 41:17Speaker 2: to our Girls Gone Hamewark lineup, you may want to
- 41:21Speaker 2: hold off until we talk Chesapeake Shores because spoiler alert,
- 41:25Speaker 2: we got multiple messages that said, this is the best
- 41:28Speaker 2: show that Homewark has ever aired.

- 41:48Speaker 1: summer and and if you recall, some of the feedback
- 41:52Speaker 1: was like, don't do it that. I don't recall. I
