- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: Hey friend, welcome back to Bible Tract Echoes.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Mike McCree, your host.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so very much for taking your time and joining me right here today.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: Our family, our ministry, we love young people.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_01]: We love investing in young people I got to.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: Opportunity to be a youth pastor, but my first ministry position in full-time ministry now in evangelism, I get to be a part of a massive number of summer camps, get to lead singing, it camps, preach it camps, I get to be a director, I get to camp and camp evangelists, others, it's an amazing thing.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: Our kids, my girls, Amy and Lucy, they go to camp with us.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: We have a great time, but today, on a broadcast, I'm going to be bringing you the final installment.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: of a message that I preached a year ago at Camp.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to ask you if you would to listen into tune your ears but before we do so, I've got to give you a little bit of context.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: Now these young people, they do a phenomenal job.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: The Camp staff and this camp where I preached this message at Common Ground Baptist Camp in Butler, Pennsylvania.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: The Camp staff there is phenomenal.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Love them.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: and the teenagers that make up the camp staff to a great job, they were part of a, uh, call this, get a performance.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: I got to be a part of it as well.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: I was kind of the narrator to some degree.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: And this particular, I have context because I will reference it in the message in a moment.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: This particular, I guess you'd call this skit.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: There wasn't really anything funny about it.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: It was sobering.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: But this particular skit was set up such that there were people, young people dressed in the garb of different countries.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe the first one was an Emily from the Ukraine.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: She was actually the young lady that could speak with Ukrainian accent.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: She came to the microphone.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: And so my name is Emily.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm lost.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what I'll do to each of them had chains on them.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: They were bound up in sin.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: And talked about how they didn't know which end was up.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't know about God.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: And the auctioneer would ask, I was the auctioneer really.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: How would ask, is there anyone that will go to Emily and Ukraine?
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: that will tell her of the love of Jesus and a missionary in the crowd would stand and say I will go and I will reach that young lost soul and then another from from Columbia would come and then another another nation would come and a missionary in turn would say I will go reach them and then ended with a young lady Abby from Ireland now I don't do a good Irish accent but she did and she said my name is Abby and who will go
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: I asked who will go to reach her.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: But what I've left out is that Satan, a man playing Satan the devil, he would bid on every soul but he was out bid by the missionary.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: Well no one stood for Abbey.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: No one stood to claim her and so
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: he led her way in chains in this young lady wonderful actress she screamed she cried she wondered why won't someone come for me sobering thought I had the privilege of preaching after that friend I'd ask you will anyone bid on this soul I hope maybe you'll consider that today as we conclude this message on that ingo
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: and letting God encourage you to let go of what's in your hands.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, for a second, if time won't go, do you remember how Abraham was told by God to sacrifice his one, his only son Isaac?
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Do you remember that?
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: And they strapped the wood on them.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: They leave those men behind and they're trudging up there.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: And Isaac said, I see the wood, I see the fire, but I don't see the lamb.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: And what does Abraham say?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: God will provide.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so glad God provides me.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: That was a statement by faith, because Abraham didn't know what was coming.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: He raised that knife in full anticipation that he must obey what God wanted him to do.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you that was not.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot imagine that the first time he held Isaac in his hands that that occurrence was in Abraham's plans.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: What's in your plans?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: But let me ask this, what would upset your plans so much that you would deviate from the course that God has given you?
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you, God's plans don't always match the plans that we have?
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: In actuality, they very rarely match our plans.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: But for many of you, you've already experienced that in life.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: You've already had a hard circumstance that you feel like was unearned and unjust, and therefore you don't need to follow this plans anymore.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: Can I encourage you to let go of your plans, to let go of what is in your hands?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: Isaiah, for thee one, verse number ten says this, fear thou not for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: I will strengthen thee, ye I will help thee, ye I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: You can always trust his hands, you can always trust his plans.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: The question is,
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: Why would you not trust his plans?
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Is it for cash?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: Are you so easily bought that money?
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: Is all it will take for you to change your plans?
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Is it connections?
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: Pure pressure is the crowd can cause many Christians plans to flounder and falter.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: Is it the condition of the world?
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: is it convenience and comfort?
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: There may be no more dangerous, no more insidious thing that the devil has at his disposal than convenience and comfort.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: All it takes is the AC to go out for a little while.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: We start getting a little hot in the collar, literally and emotionally.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: It was over in Burma, southeast Asia, back in December, December.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: It barely got below eighty the entire time.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm standing there preaching.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: They get four hours of power a day.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: If that.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I hear the fan behind me go.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: And all of a sudden this oppressive humidity goes.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm standing there thinking, I am three minutes in to a thirty minute message.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: comfort.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Is that all it's going to take to keep you in lockstep with the devil's plans?
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: He can look so respectable, can't he?
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: For the Richter.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: He can look so very easy to get along with.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: See, here's the thing.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: We spread up the time frame with that little skit.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: You see, most of the time, Abby would have gone willingly
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: for about twenty or thirty or forty years.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the rest of her life.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: The screaming would have occurred when she entered hell.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: But until then, she would have lived very comfortably in Ireland.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: And you will live here very comfortably while God pounds on the door of your heart saying, will you go to Abby?
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: but for convenience, you will sell out God's plans.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: For comfort, you'll sell out God's plans.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: For carnality, you will sell out God's plans.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: For compromise, there is no compromise with the devil.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how to tell you, but when the Bible says, neither give place to the devil, that means nothing.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: That word, I don't get into it often, but it means the word is topos, where we get topography from, literally ground, neither give ground place.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: Remember that, are we allowed to, is remember the Titans long enough for back that we can quote it in a message?
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: Don't give them another yard.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: hurt a wise man, and I say, when asked this question, what battles do we fight?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: As ministers of God, which battles do we fight?
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: They were talking about, you know, COVID and shutting down the churches and all that type of stuff.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: And the man, astutely, said this, creature from many years, he said this, if the battle is for truth, if the battle is for God's pride, the church,
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: We fight every battle.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: There's not a one that's not worth the Christian soldiers strapping up one more time and saying, no, no devil, you're getting no place here.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: Compromise?
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, you can't sell out God's plans for that.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: Carnality, no, you can't sell out God's plans for that.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: Would you go to Jeremiah, twenty nine as we conclude?
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: Jeremiah chapter number twenty nine.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: In verse number eleven.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: For I know of course this is God talking to his people.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: But I believe the biblical principle is still secure for I know the thoughts that I think toward you say at the Lord.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: Thoughts of peace and not of evil.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: to give you an expected end.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now, may I tell you, there are some of you right now in here that think that you have ruined your life already to the place that you can't be used of God.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know how these GPS is work these days when you drive by and miss your exit?
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know what they do?
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: Re calculating.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: recalculating, now some of you, you might have shut off that little voice.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: You so drowned out the still small voice, but you know under the pillow that you're trying to muffle the spirit of God with, recalculating.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe you're about fifteen eggs, it's down past where you're supposed to be.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: But if you've got a pulse, God still got a purpose for your life,
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: And if you just let go of the peanuts that are in your hands, if you let go of what's keeping you from doing God's plans, maybe you can jump on the next exit, flip a UE.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: And all of a sudden, you're in agreement with his plans.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: If you can trust him for eternity, don't you think you can trust him now?
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: Every headbound, every eye closed.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: A friend, I do hope what has been talked about this week will be a blessing to you.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: I encourage you, stop requiring the GPS of our holy God, if I can put it this way, to recalculate his plan for your life because you keep missing the turns, the exits the way he wants you to go heed the warnings, please.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Tomorrow, on the broadcast, we're going to continue to talk about why camp I'm looking forward to speaking to a dear friend and a mentor of mine, and we're going to talk to him for just a few brief moments on why summer camp.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's not too late for some of you.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you have a camp you could send your young people to a spiritually-based Bible-based camp, or they're going to get some good preaching, be away from the world.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'd encourage you to do that.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: I encourage you today.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: Let go.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: And let God have a great day for His glory.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: We'll plan on talking to you soon.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: God bless.
