- 0:02Speaker 1: What are you laughing at, Kyle?
- 0:03Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you guys, there's this Reddit thread that's
- 0:05Speaker 2: like literally blowing up and I'm dying right now. Okay,
- 0:09Speaker 2: so this person shared a story about how they started
- 0:11Speaker 2: a new job and they're going over all of the rules, right?
- 0:14Speaker 2: And they throw in, oh, and also there's no air
- 0:16Speaker 2: fryers at your desk. And they're like, that was kind
- 0:19Speaker 2: of out of the blue. So of course I had
- 0:20Speaker 2: to like investigate. Now why when they're Training in the
- 0:24Speaker 2: onboard session. Do you have to say this? And apparently
- 0:27Speaker 2: one guy was making wings during like a zoom and like,
- 0:33Speaker 2: like it like started like smoking and set out the
- 0:36Speaker 2: fire alarm and literally like the whole building exit. And
- 0:40Speaker 2: then so everyone else are like, so are we the
- 0:43Speaker 2: only one? Are we the only business that has these
- 0:46Speaker 2: weird rules because one idiot messed it up? And all
- 0:49Speaker 2: these people are sharing all these different weird rules they
- 0:52Speaker 2: have and the reasons behind them. So, like, one rule
- 0:57Speaker 2: was there's no fish anywhere in the building.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Well, yeah, that's obvious.
- 1:00Speaker 2: And it's like someone reheated salmon every day for a week.
- 1:02Speaker 2: People complain, blah, blah, blah, blah. No alcohol in desk drawers. Like,
- 1:06Speaker 2: apparently this was a big enough problem that they felt
- 1:09Speaker 2: the need to actually make that an official rule in
- 1:12Speaker 2: the building. John, you're going to hate this one, but
- 1:15Speaker 2: no bare feet in the office.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Oh, that's terrible.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Because one guy would kick off his shoes every day,
- 1:19Speaker 2: and apparently his feet were so bad, like, HR had
- 1:22Speaker 2: to get involved.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 2: And they just have to do this blanket rule.
- 1:25Speaker 3: That makes it into the company band date.
- 1:28Speaker 2: There was one that was like, no changing clothes in
- 1:31Speaker 2: the conference rooms because someone kept using the conference room
- 1:34Speaker 2: as their dress room before dates. And co-workers walked in
- 1:38Speaker 2: on this guy more than once.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that would happen here.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Do you know how many times I randomly go and
- 1:43Speaker 2: change in random rooms here? You always have to have
- 1:46Speaker 2: a guard out for you. I know. This one made
- 1:48Speaker 2: me laugh so bad because I feel like We would
- 1:52Speaker 2: never follow this rule right here on the John Jay
- 1:54Speaker 2: and Rich show. No costumes unless it's an official costume day.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I want to come.
- 2:01Speaker 2: In costume every day. You know what?
- 2:03Speaker 1: Maybe you're out of laundry. The only thing you have
- 2:05Speaker 1: left is your Halloween getup.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Somebody apparently wore a full Spider-Man suit to work because
- 2:09Speaker 2: he lost a fantasy football bet, but he refused to
- 2:12Speaker 2: take the mask off in meetings.
- 2:14Speaker 3: What?
- 2:17Speaker 1: That is a good.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Friend right there.
- 2:18Speaker 1: He doesn't have to hold down his plate. Hold on
- 2:20Speaker 1: a second. Hold on. Reese, you got one of these
- 2:22Speaker 1: weird rules at work?
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah, man. I'm so glad you guys are talking about
- 2:26Speaker 3: this right now because, like, my company has this new
- 2:29Speaker 3: rule where we're not allowed to bring anyone back to our, like,
- 2:33Speaker 3: company hotel when we're out. And this guy, he brought
- 2:38Speaker 3: some girl back to his room, and then the next
- 2:40Speaker 3: day he woke up, laptop, wallet, like, work phone, keys,
- 2:45Speaker 3: everything was gone. They ended up finding it, like, they
- 2:49Speaker 3: tracked the phone down to the strip club. The girl
- 2:52Speaker 3: had used his company credit card, $ 600 at Target, like...
- 2:57Speaker 3: So now we're not allowed to bring anyone to our
- 2:59Speaker 3: hotel room. Just one guy.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Just his bad move ruined it for everybody.
- 3:05Speaker 3: He got robbed.
- 3:07Speaker 1: So one person screwed it all up. Nobody can have
- 3:10Speaker 1: fun anymore.
- 3:10Speaker 3: He ruined it for everyone. Thanks, Reese.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Thanks for calling in. Let's do that.
- 3:14Speaker 3: 877-937-1047.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Let's hear about any kind of weird rules you have
- 3:19Speaker 1: at work because one person screwed it up. I always
- 3:22Speaker 1: think that sometimes when I go to certain places, you
- 3:23Speaker 1: go to the bathroom, it'll say, oh, don't flush. It'll say,
- 3:27Speaker 1: only flush toilet paper in the toilet. And I'm like,
- 3:29Speaker 1: what the hell else people put in there? What could
- 3:31Speaker 1: I put down there? I know, but somebody threw something
- 3:34Speaker 1: in there. uh, cause the toilet to overflow. And he said,
- 3:37Speaker 1: why would you throw this toaster in here? No more
- 3:39Speaker 1: toasters in the toilet. We want to hear your dumb
- 3:42Speaker 1: rule at work.
