  Speaker 1: something that people have always said about literary things that

  Speaker 1: are not true. Like a lot of people say that

  Speaker 1: stuff to become an author. That's not true. That's not true.

  Speaker 1: actually been on we've been inside of Mind Beyond Sight's

  Speaker 1: devotional for the last eleven days. So we've been doing
• 11:52
  Speaker 1: that for the last eleven days. So we do it's
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: a thirty one day devotional. But I wanna share something
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: from the poetry book because this too is near and
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: dear to my heart, really near and dear to my heart.
• 12:10
  Speaker 1: I celebrated my fiftieth birthday one month before I celebrate
• 12:15
  Speaker 1: eleven years of being a semester violence survivor. So I'm
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: celebrating a lot of stuff and I shared inside of
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: this book. Inside of this poetry book, I wrote poems
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: centered around my domestic violence journey. So I wrote eleven
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: poems inside of this book, and it's eleven poems to
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: celebrate eleven years of being a survivor of domestic violence.
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: And then there's twenty other amazing poets that's featured inside
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: of this book alongside of me. I'm gonna share one
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: of the poems, and I'm also gonna share the four
• 13:00
  Speaker 1: not the forward. I'm sorry. I'm gonna share the inspiration,

  Speaker 1: which is the dedication for this book. I'm gonna share that,

  Speaker 1: and then I'm gonna share one of my poems. So

  Speaker 1: the dedication to this book, it says to my dear sister,

  Speaker 1: guys today, I'm actually gonna share two. And it is

  Speaker 1: the legacy of life and the journey forward. In every life,

  Speaker 1: in every life she gently touched, a legacy of love
• 16:10
  Speaker 1: is clutched, her wisdom deep as ancient sees. It's whispered
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: through rustling leaves, from pain to joy. Her journey's flight,
• 16:20
  Speaker 1: transforming the dark, brings forth delight. With every step her
• 16:24
  Speaker 1: path refines, and Angela a beacon shines, and that's that peace.

  Speaker 1: And that's titled the Legacy of Lights. The next one
• 16:35
  Speaker 1: is called the Journey Forward, the Journey Forward, and it
• 16:39
  Speaker 1: is in fifty years her strength nights with dreams for
• 16:44
  Speaker 1: fill and new delights, eleven years from shadows free. Her
• 16:48
  Speaker 1: voyage is a symphony for every heart. She lives in flight,
• 16:53
  Speaker 1: a future board and scoward bright Queen Angela a life

  Speaker 1: of grace in her journey, hope its place, and that's

  Speaker 1: that piece. So those are a couple of pieces that

  Speaker 1: I personally have found. These These are pieces that I

  Speaker 1: wrote in my book, and this is one book that

  Speaker 1: have inspired me. So these things are very fascionate. I'm

  Speaker 1: grateful to have the opportunity to be able to share.

  Speaker 1: You know, a lot of us we have things that
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: you know God has done for us and things that
• 17:30
  Speaker 1: you know we've overcome, but we don't share them. We

  Speaker 1: don't tell anybody about them. We sit on them and

  Speaker 1: we hold them in when He allows us to get
• 17:39
  Speaker 1: through these things so that we can share them with
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: other people, so that we can bring him glory, so
• 17:43
  Speaker 1: that we can edify his name, so that other people
• 17:46
  Speaker 1: can see that, you know, see his power and see
• 17:49
  Speaker 1: what he's doing. So I want to encourage someone on
• 17:52
  Speaker 1: today that may be listening, that may be going through
• 17:55
  Speaker 1: know that you're not going through a loan, that you're
• 17:58
  Speaker 1: not on this journey by yourself, that they're other individuals
• 18:00
  Speaker 1: that are going through stuff too. But just as you
• 18:03
  Speaker 1: come through, you come to it, He's gonna make sure
• 18:06
  Speaker 1: that you get through it because he will never bring
• 18:08
  Speaker 1: you through something that he will never see you through.
• 18:10
  Speaker 1: If he bring you to it, he's gonna see you
• 18:12
  Speaker 1: through it. So know that, and I thank you. I

  Speaker 1: come into the knowledge. Now, we're supposed to share these

  Speaker 1: things out. Like some of us, we have so much

  Speaker 1: resources and so much knowledge within us when we're just
• 18:57
  Speaker 1: sitting on it, just letting it just go to the wayside, y'all,

  Speaker 1: don't let that stuff end up in that crate and

  Speaker 1: doing nobody no good when it could have been a
• 19:05
  Speaker 1: blessing to somebody. It could have helped somebody come out
• 19:08
  Speaker 1: of something that they was going through. So I want

  Speaker 1: to challenge you on today if you have a story,

  Speaker 1: if you have a story of survivor, if you are
• 19:16
  Speaker 1: a survivor, if you have survived un aliven, if you

  Speaker 1: have survived domess of violence, if you have overcome trauma,
• 19:25
  Speaker 1: if you have survived I want you to share with
• 19:28
  Speaker 1: me in one of my anthologies that show that you
• 19:31
  Speaker 1: give you an opportunity to share your voice, That give
• 19:34
  Speaker 1: you an opportunity to speak to the nations, that give
• 19:37
  Speaker 1: you an opportunity to speak to people that you may
• 19:40
  Speaker 1: normally never come in contact with. It gives you an
• 19:43
  Speaker 1: opportunity to express It gives you an opportunity to leave
• 19:47
  Speaker 1: a legacy. Because I'm definitely leaving a legacy. I am

  Speaker 1: leaving a legacy because there are a lot of people
• 19:54
  Speaker 1: that did not know me ten years ago. The amount
• 19:57
  Speaker 1: of people that I lives that I have a pat

  Speaker 1: and the lives that have impacted my life, it cannot

  Speaker 1: be replaced and I won't replace it. But I'm gonna

  Speaker 1: leave a legacy. I'm gonna leave the blueprint. I'm gonna

  Speaker 1: leave evidence so that people see, so that people can

  Speaker 1: see what I overcame, so that people can see this

  Speaker 1: journey so that they can see that it is possible.
