  [SPEAKER_00]: Pretty much officially done.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Preseason is starting in, you know, is preseason the official mark of the end of training camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think about that all the time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the bottom line is this is the next phase.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're now starting to face opponents that are not your own teammates.

  [SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, training camp is in the books and it's on to preseason.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Right now we're going to look at, in my opinion, the Jaguars top training camp stars, the players who made the most consistent impact, day in, day out for the Jacksonville Jaguars throughout their twelve training camp practices over two weeks of training camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's foyer, Luke, and leader, playmaker, great run defender, opportunistic player, and pass coverage as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Getting pressure on the quarterback, breaking up passes, getting run stuff, being where he's supposed to be when he's supposed to be there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: At number five, I have Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter, yes.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jackords, second overall pick, and twenty-five traded up two first round picks, multiple other picks, to get Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Big time move up for Travis Hunter and I think he's going to immediately pay off that move, playing both sides of the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can point to this player, that player or this practice, that practice, him making plays all over the field, whether it be offense, defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The biggest reason I have Travis Hunter in the top five

  [SPEAKER_00]: When he was not on the offensive side of the ball, you felt it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You really felt it in a negative way.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not taking anything away from Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Going to be awesome.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, blow the whistle, go dominate against an unfamiliar opponent, then he is a practice player, Brian Thomas Jr., right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's better in game than he is in practice.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But he missed practice on Wednesday.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar's offense did really well without him, and now I'm not suggesting that the Jaguar's offense would do well without him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: In a game, I don't think that's the case.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But you just didn't feel that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, this is just the training camp stars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You did not feel that missing element of the Jaguar's passing offense without Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: yesterday, the way you did when Travis Hunter was playing defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's just the way it is.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's training camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying Travis is better than Brian.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I receive her or anything like that right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying the gravity of Travis Hunter on the field

  [SPEAKER_00]: You really felt the negative impact of him not being on the offensive side of the ball when he wasn't out there, very consistently.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he made a ton of place, big time place.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was close to making some more place, but he was really good and really competitive against somebody else that's going to be on this list, actually two other guys going to be on this list.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's Tyson Campbell at number four.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar starting outside corner who Travis Hunter will play opposite of on the defensive side of the ball and hunters out there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tyson Campbell has been a training camp star since twenty twenty two every every time he's been available for training camp and ready to go for training camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has been a star out there and that continued this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Even going up against Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: did BTJ make his place sure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Did Diami have one or two catches against Tyson Shore?

  [SPEAKER_00]: More often than not, when you targeted Tyson Campbell, it did not go in your favor if you're Trevor Lawrence.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that mean when you're talking about cover and Brian Thomas Jr., Diami Brown, Travis Hunter at times, that's really impressive for Tyson.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is locked in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The question about Tyson Campbell is not his ability out there on the football field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not his athleticism, his length.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has all those things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The zone instincts, the zone eyes.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It really is just staying healthy and you just hope and pray that he's able to do that this year because Tyson Campbell is one of the Jaguar's best players.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Not Travis, not Tyson, but Jordan Lewis.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The other starting corner, in my opinion, come week one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I do think Travis Hunter's gonna be a starting corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'll miss time at times, like I'll slow about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Drawing Jones will get out there, Buster Brown will get out there when he's healthy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Jordan Lewis is the Jaguar starting nickel, and maybe he could play some outside as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen him do it throughout his career at a high level.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Jordan Lewis,

  [SPEAKER_00]: At Nickel has been an insane playmaker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I have never seen a corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Nickel or otherwise make more plays on the ball than Jordan Lewis has this training camp and he did it again today.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Almost enters after the past, Trevor Lawrence targeting Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When you're talking about trying to pick up short yardage, when you're talking about passing to the flat, passing to the middle of the field, short shallow intermediate,

  [SPEAKER_00]: trying to complete a pass against Jordan Lewis close to the red zone and condense spaces.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Good, freaking luck, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Good luck.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's unbelievable.
• 6:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: So many plays where he's got a full extension for the football to get a hand on it or to intercept it or jumping around where it looks like when the balls are released, it could be completed pretty easily.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Jordan Lewis, he's got that perfect timing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And this guy that was really good player for Dallas at Nickel for a long time has also played outside when needed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar has gotten themselves a steel and Jordan Loss.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It brings the ride attitude as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I look at their cornerback group as a whole.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty excited about it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Excited about their receivers too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because I think a couple other honorable mentions could be Parker and

  [SPEAKER_00]: and Josh Chiefis and Ryan Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because even though he was a little up and down, I mean, some of the play, he probably scored more touchdowns than any other receiver by a pretty wide margin.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he just wasn't quite as consistent of an impact as he would like to be, as he probably will be during the regular season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So didn't quite make the list, but the receivers for the jacks have been impressive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We actually have four names left on the list, actually five.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, what the hell?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So at number two, it's the specialists.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cam little Logan Cook, Ross Matasick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: These guys are amazing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Logan Cook had a practice where and he doesn't get a ton of work during team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're not punching a lot during team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and a competitive environment, right?
• 8:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: But he had a practice where he got a ball where it stopped at the one, the punt stopped at the one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then another in the same practice where he got the defense to jump off sides, the punt block unit to jump off sides.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You do those two things and the practice is a punter, that's amazing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then Cam little

  [SPEAKER_00]: Every practice except for one, he's been perfect in team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, he's been fantastic for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Ross Madison, you know, you don't see as much from him during practice, but you got to give him a lot of credit as well for snapping the football to these guys, snapping the football to Logan Cook, Logan Cook getting the whole down and came little, knocking it through the uprights.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's a three-man unit that doesn't incredible job.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And at number one, y'all should be able to guess this.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Heinz Allen slash Trayvon Walker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: No, they are not the same player, but they play the same position.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they basically felt like they were interchangeable.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Almost every play of training camp, one of them was in the back field or both of them were in the back field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One of them was making a run stuff or both of them were making a run stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were awesome, the most consistent players in training camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not as flashy in training camp from past rushers, from edge rushers, as it might be for a receiver or a corner who's making plays on the football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Trayvon Walker, I can't tell you how many battered passes he had.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen, I can't tell you how many would be Sachs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: run stuff for both of them, pressures, sacks for both of them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were awesome.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely awesome during training camp for the jags brought it every single day.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's the list.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it was more than five players technically, but I think they all deserve to be mentioned.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think everybody that we talked about deserve to be mentioned today.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And we have not talked about the quarterback.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I did not have him in the top five.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Very well could have been.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's a sign that this was a very productive training camp for a lot of football players, but Trevor Lawrence had his best training camp by far in his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just think when you think about some of these players

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that they're just kind of further along in their career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence is changing a lot about his game right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of footwork, pre-snap, mental, all that stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he did a great job doing it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, took care of the football during training camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, final numbers, one, thirty-nine of two, ten, twenty-two touchdowns, four in exceptions.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eight drops, two turnover worthy plays.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those numbers are pretty unbelievable.

  [SPEAKER_00]: for training cam numbers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But he is still growing in this offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's still growing mentally and physically and this Liam Cohen offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's going to be a lot better in a month than he is right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be a lot better in two months than he is in a month.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is an offense that he's going to continue to grow in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He very well could have been on this list.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And if we did a top ten, he definitely would have been.

  [SPEAKER_00]: but Trevor Lawrence, I think people should be excited about what he can be and Liam Cohen's offense.
