- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on.
- 0:00Speaker 2: Do your thing, Big Daddy. Uh-huh. I sure will. Good morning, everybody.
- 0:07Speaker 2: You are listening to The Voice.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Come on.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Ding me now. One and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 0:13Speaker 2: radio show.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I say it every day because God been good to me.
- 0:17Speaker 1: God has done some things in my life that's truly
- 0:19Speaker 1: been just amazing. Really amazing ain't even really the word.
- 0:24Speaker 1: They don't really have a word for what he's done
- 0:26Speaker 1: for me. I'm just out of superlatives. That's why I
- 0:29Speaker 1: say it every day. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 0:32Speaker 1: because God is in the blessing business.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he is. God can help you turn your life around.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Did you hear me? God can help you turn your
- 0:41Speaker 2: life around.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Whatever you're going through, God has an answer for it.
- 0:46Speaker 2: See, but it's the going through that gets us though,
- 0:48Speaker 2: ain't it?
- 0:48Speaker 1: Because I was having a moment yesterday and I sat
- 0:51Speaker 1: my wife down. I said, baby, I just need to
- 0:53Speaker 1: talk to you. I'm going through a little bit right now.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I just wanted to share, which I'm a little down
- 0:58Speaker 1: right now. My wife reminded me. She just reminded me. Man,
- 1:02Speaker 1: that's what a good mate does. A good mate reminds
- 1:09Speaker 1: you just of things that sometimes you forget when you
- 1:13Speaker 1: get off track. Because, you know, I consider myself a
- 1:17Speaker 1: motivational type person. I try to listen to people and
- 1:21Speaker 1: then give them something I've learned along the way on
- 1:24Speaker 1: this journey I've been on. I try to give a
- 1:25Speaker 1: person a takeaway. But even being that person, sometimes I
- 1:30Speaker 1: get off track myself. I get a little low sometimes.
- 1:34Speaker 1: You know, I get a little down. Sometimes I forget
- 1:38Speaker 1: some of the stuff I say. It ain't that I
- 1:40Speaker 1: forget it. I guess I just get caught up in
- 1:43Speaker 1: the grind of doing it. And sometimes I get a
- 1:48Speaker 1: little off course and I forget some of the things.
- 1:51Speaker 1: And my wife or mate can be good for you
- 1:55Speaker 1: to remind you. And she just says, Steve, God got us.
- 2:00Speaker 1: She said, have you ever noticed that every time you
- 2:03Speaker 1: get in a spot and she say, and I know
- 2:05Speaker 1: how you must feel because you out here working and
- 2:09Speaker 1: you keep turning around and old stuff keep popping up
- 2:13Speaker 1: and you get a call from your accountant and hear
- 2:16Speaker 1: this and went wrong and that and when you steady
- 2:18Speaker 1: trying to fix it, but you steady going wild, man,
- 2:21Speaker 1: what is this? She say, but you ever notice he
- 2:24Speaker 1: always Always, no matter what, provide a way. And he
- 2:28Speaker 1: ain't ever too late. Oh, you might be going. The
- 2:31Speaker 1: deadline is approaching. The deadline can come and pass. But
- 2:36Speaker 1: then they have a grace period for you. And then sometimes, man,
- 2:40Speaker 1: it's just you go down there after the grace period
- 2:42Speaker 1: and they take the payment anyway.
- 2:43Speaker 2: And you're good anyway.
- 2:45Speaker 1: But see, ain't that God bringing you through it? It
- 2:48Speaker 1: may not be when you want it, but he right
- 2:50Speaker 1: on time. Just before you get put out, just before
- 2:54Speaker 1: they turn.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Maybe they cut the lights off, but you get it back.
- 2:57Speaker 1: On just for company come or just before the weekend
- 3:01Speaker 1: get here. See, he always comes through for you. And
- 3:05Speaker 1: she had to remind me of that. What you're going
- 3:08Speaker 1: through is necessary. Look, circumstance and hardships and pitfalls are
- 3:13Speaker 1: always untimely. If you keep the law of attraction in play,
- 3:19Speaker 1: if you keep believing that that's that he going to
- 3:22Speaker 1: see you through this, just like he do when you
- 3:24Speaker 1: don't believe it.
- 3:25Speaker 2: That's what the cold part is, though, ain't it?
- 3:28Speaker 1: Ain't God bought you through even when you didn't really
- 3:31Speaker 1: had a faith to say he was going to bring
- 3:34Speaker 1: you through. but because of grace and mercy, he bought
- 3:37Speaker 1: you through anyway, but because you forgot to thank him
- 3:41Speaker 1: or you didn't pay attention to the come through. You
- 3:44Speaker 1: just was telling people, Oh man, if you to see him,
- 3:46Speaker 1: it was so jacked up, man. I was so turned up.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I ain't know what I was going to do. I
- 3:51Speaker 1: almost got put out. I was going to see keyword almost.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You forgot that part right there. And then I was,
- 3:57Speaker 1: it looked like I won man. And it seemed like
- 4:00Speaker 1: every month I go through this same thing. And then,
- 4:04Speaker 1: Then somebody ought to just say, did you pay it?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I paid it. Did you get put out? No,
- 4:08Speaker 2: I'm cool.
- 4:09Speaker 1: See, you need somebody on your shoulder to say that
- 4:12Speaker 1: to you. And then you need somebody to come right
- 4:14Speaker 1: behind him and go, man, ain't God good. Really, man,
- 4:19Speaker 1: that's how this works. See, you keep getting in situations,
- 4:24Speaker 1: but he keep getting you out. Now, if you jump, look,
- 4:27Speaker 1: listen to me. Hold on. Let's say you in a
- 4:29Speaker 1: frying pan in the skillet. and the oil is up,
- 4:33Speaker 1: and you in there frying, and you uncomfortable being fried.
- 4:37Speaker 1: God somehow, or let's just say you managed to get
- 4:41Speaker 1: out of the hot grease in the frying pan, and
- 4:44Speaker 1: you standing there next to the skillet, looking at the
- 4:48Speaker 1: fire continue to heat the grease.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You get out, and then for some unexplainable reason.
- 4:55Speaker 1: You dives right on back in there. Ain't that how
- 4:58Speaker 1: we usually do it? I'm just asking you. God gets
- 5:02Speaker 1: you away from the man you've been asking to get
- 5:05Speaker 1: away from. Then you go right back over there and
- 5:07Speaker 1: start seeing him again. It's amazing how many times God
- 5:13Speaker 1: get us out the fire and we walks right back
- 5:16Speaker 1: in there.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Ain't it amazing?
- 5:19Speaker 1: I mean, really, man, see, this is how I break
- 5:21Speaker 1: life down for me. So I don't get over here
- 5:24Speaker 1: stuck on stupid with myself and then get to doing
- 5:26Speaker 1: something ignorant like blaming God. When really, man, God has
- 5:30Speaker 1: given us as human beings the power of decision. And
- 5:32Speaker 1: we all make decisions. How many times? See, sometimes it's
- 5:36Speaker 1: a blessing in getting locked up. You can ask a
- 5:39Speaker 1: lot of cats, I know, man, to tell you. It
- 5:41Speaker 1: was a blessing for me, man, because I was just
- 5:43Speaker 1: headed the wrong way, steady. But he locked me up,
- 5:46Speaker 1: set me down, made me miss my family, miss being
- 5:50Speaker 1: out here being a free man, made me realize that
- 5:52Speaker 1: my family was important, made me, man, really see this
- 5:56Speaker 1: girl for what she was.
- 5:57Speaker 2: When I get out, man, I'm on the straight and narrow.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Well, then when you get out, though, See, you can't
- 6:03Speaker 1: be talking about, no, oh, man, I can't find no job.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Now I'm going to go and do what I got
- 6:08Speaker 1: to do. No, no, no, no, no, partner. You got
- 6:10Speaker 1: to do now what you're supposed to do. See, that
- 6:12Speaker 1: don't do what you got to do. Got you in
- 6:15Speaker 1: trouble in the first place. See, everybody see, see the
- 6:18Speaker 1: hood got a lot.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Of ignorant rules. We didn't create it. I got to
- 6:21Speaker 2: do what I got to do. I got to feed
- 6:22Speaker 2: my family. Well, only reason you got to do what
- 6:24Speaker 2: you got to do is because you didn't do what
- 6:27Speaker 2: you were supposed to do.
- 6:28Speaker 1: So if you just went on to school, like your
- 6:30Speaker 1: mama kept telling, Oh, man, I was watching 48 hours
- 6:34Speaker 1: yesterday and a dude named Nesto was on there. And Nesto,
- 6:38Speaker 1: Latino dude, said, man, my mother told me quit hanging
- 6:40Speaker 1: with these guys. They were going nothing but trouble. I
- 6:43Speaker 1: should have listened to her. He doing 30 years right now.
- 6:48Speaker 1: You can't blame God. That's why I talk to myself
- 6:51Speaker 1: this way. So I don't get stupid and start shifting
- 6:54Speaker 1: the blame the wrong way when it's really on me.
- 6:57Speaker 1: How many times has God got you out of something
- 7:00Speaker 1: and you walk right back into it? Man, why don't
- 7:03Speaker 1: you take these blessings God give you and go about
- 7:05Speaker 1: your business? That'd be the best way to do it,
- 7:08Speaker 1: don't you think? That's what I think. So I thank God,
- 7:13Speaker 1: my wife, for reminding me that God got us anyway,
- 7:17Speaker 1: that God going to pull you through anyway, that have
- 7:19Speaker 1: you noticed, Steve, we ain't lost a beat. Oh, I
- 7:23Speaker 1: know it's hard out here, but really, you ain't lost
- 7:25Speaker 1: a beat. You still moving forward. You still dressing nice.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You still look good when you come into that job.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Everybody don't got to know you. Your house is in
- 7:35Speaker 1: bad shape.
- 7:36Speaker 2: And all that. God got you, man.
- 7:38Speaker 1: If you just hold your head up, man, quit complaining
- 7:41Speaker 1: all the time about what you ain't got. And as
- 7:44Speaker 1: the words of my daddy, Slick Harvey, stop talking about
- 7:47Speaker 1: what you ain't got and take a good look at
- 7:49Speaker 1: what you do got. That's improper grammar. But that always
- 7:52Speaker 1: stuck with me, and maybe it'll stick with you. Quit
- 7:54Speaker 1: talking about it and looking at what you ain't got.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Take a good look at what you do got.
- 7:58Speaker 2: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
