Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Ghislaine Maxwell And Her Time At FCI Tallahassee
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:04Glene Maxwell has found out where she's going to serve
- 0:08her twenty year sentence, and it's not at Danbury. Now.
- 0:13I know there's a lot of people out there and
- 0:15a lot of headlines out there calling where she's going
- 0:18to be spending her time down in Tallahassee a swanky prison.
- 0:23But I have news for you, folks. Okay, there's no
- 0:26such thing as a swanky prison. It doesn't matter if
- 0:29you're in low security, minimum security. High security. Prison is prison,
- 0:36and there's nothing fun about being in one of these camps. Now,
- 0:40my biggest problem with her being in Danbury would have
- 0:43been how easy the access would have been for people
- 0:47that she knows in New York, where she was stomping
- 0:50around most of her years, to come and visit her
- 0:53on a regular basis her family. I wanted it to
- 0:55be a little inconvenient, the same way it was inconvenient
- 0:59for me and my family to go visit my grandpa
- 1:02first up in Oregon and then out in Lompoc. What
- 1:08they do is they'll move you away from your family
- 1:10and make it difficult on you right to travel as
- 1:13far as finances go logistics getting off of work, so
- 1:16they try and make the bid harder on people. Now.
- 1:19It doesn't have the same effect on rich people, obviously,
- 1:22because they have the assets and the money to travel
- 1:26and do whatever the hell it is they want to do.
- 1:28But with normal people it's usually a real shock to
- 1:31the gut when you get moved far away, and her
- 1:35getting moved down to Tallahassee, well, it's still a bit
- 1:37of a trip right now, don't get it twisted. Her
- 1:40family has enough money they could move wherever they want
- 1:43and be close to her, or travel wherever they want
- 1:46on private jets and shit and be comfortable. But still
- 1:50putting her in Danbury would have been a terrible message
- 1:54to send in my opinion, And I think people are
- 1:57under the impression that Danberry is a better, i mean,
- 2:01a worse facility than Tallahassee, and that's not the case.
- 2:05Now again, Look, when we're talking about minimum security camps here,
- 2:09like we're talking about it's not hard time, like being
- 2:14on the main line in state prison in California, there's
- 2:18a lot of focus on rehabilitation. And when my gramps
- 2:23was taking his time away to go to college, if
- 2:26you will, he was in one of these low security
- 2:29camps as well. First he was in Oregon, and then
- 2:33after Oregon he was in Lompoc and that's where he
- 2:36finished out his bid. But there was no fences around
- 2:40the encampment, none of that stuff. But in these articles,
- 2:44there's like all this talk from these journalists and these
- 2:48outlets about how people are able to get educated and
- 2:52you know, take classes, and like that's a bad thing.
- 2:55That's not a bad thing for prison folks. That's we
- 2:58should be offering that kind of stuff, right. I don't
- 3:01know how people can talk about prison reform and then
- 3:03at the same time talk about how there shouldn't be
- 3:07programs within these prisons for people to better themselves. Now, look,
- 3:12Glenn Maxwell can't be rehabilitated, right, But you can't change
- 3:17the whole system because of one person. So if Glenn
- 3:20Maxwell has to go somewhere and serve out her time,
- 3:23she's gonna have to go somewhere, and wherever she goes,
- 3:26there's going to be programs for the other inmates. And
- 3:29you can't single her out and say, well, you can't
- 3:32participate in these programs, because that's not the way it works. Right,
- 3:39She's been convicted now she has to serve her sentence.
- 3:42And even though she is a bipedal serpent and one
- 3:46of the most disgusting human beings I have ever encountered,
- 3:50maybe not in person, but you get the drift, she
- 3:53still deserves to be treated with human rights and with
- 3:57a certain level of dignity like any person in prison.
- 4:01So the whole push in a lot of these new
- 4:04articles about how there's programs offered, I find that to
- 4:08be a bit silly, especially when it comes from outlets
- 4:11that lean to the left that talk about how they
- 4:14are four prison reform and justice reform. Because when you
- 4:19go to these federal prisons, these smaller camps like this,
- 4:22more times than not you're going there for you know,
- 4:24financial crimes and shit. You're not, for the most part,
- 4:28a murderer or anything like that, or someone who's dangerous
- 4:31to other inmates. So when you go to a place
- 4:35like this, the idea is to rehabilitate yourself so when
- 4:38you get out, you're a better person. Now, again, we
- 4:41know that's not gonna happen with Maxwell, She's never going
- 4:43to be a better person. But for me, I look
- 4:47at this as a victory, a small one, but a victory.
- 4:50Nonetheless that she didn't get to go where she wanted
- 4:53to go. So today we have an article from the
- 4:56Daily Beast. But before we get into that article, let's
- 4:59rea read a little bit more about Tallahassee from the
- 5:02Wikipedia page and get an idea about this so called
- 5:05swanky jail they're talking about. All right, so this is
- 5:08straight from Wikipedia. Federal Corrections Institution Tallahassee FCI Tallahassee is
- 5:15a low security United States federal prison for female inmates
- 5:19in Tallahassee, Florida. It is operated by the Federal Bureau
- 5:22of Prisons, a division of the Department of Justice. The
- 5:26facility also has an adjacent detention center that houses administrative
- 5:31security level mail inmates, so basically the shoe. For people
- 5:35that are in danger of being attacked by other inmates,
- 5:39they have a housing unit for them. FCI Tallahassee is
- 5:44located three miles east of downtown Tallahassee on Highway three
- 5:48nineteen Notable incidents On June twenty first, two thousand and six,
- 5:53at seven forty two am local time, Federal Bureau of
- 5:57Investigations in United States Department Justice, Office of the Inspector
- 6:01General Agents attempted to arrest six correctional officers in connection
- 6:06to a corruption investigation into correctional officers trading drugs and
- 6:11other contraband for sex with female inmates. Sounds like a Disneyland,
- 6:15a real swanky prison. Huh. He got six correctional officers
- 6:19who are engaging in a basically a organized crime ring
- 6:25to have sex with inmates, bring contraband in. Yeah, sounds
- 6:30like a fantastic place. One of the officers, Ralph Hill,
- 6:35used a personal handgun and opened fire on the agents.
- 6:38He killed William Buddy Center, an agent with the Department
- 6:43of Justice Office of Inspector General Hill, was also killed.
- 6:47A lieutenant with the Federal Bureau of Prisons was injured
- 6:49in the shooting and transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. The
- 6:54shooting began in the lobby of the building and moved
- 6:57into the courtyard near US three nineteen. Federal officers were
- 7:01unarmed at the time, and the officers were to have
- 7:04were to have been armed as well. Michael Falmer, the
- 7:08FBI Special Agent in charge in Jacksonville, said the arrest
- 7:11situation was done in a manner to be very controlled,
- 7:14where nobody would have any weapons and we could take
- 7:17this down so there wouldn't be any violence. And this
- 7:20is exactly how it would have been handled normally across
- 7:22the United States. The officers to be arrested, Alfred Barnes,
- 7:26Gregory Dixon, Alan Moore, and e Levon Spence, were transported
- 7:31to Walcutta County Jail south of Tallahassee. Vincent Johnson, the
- 7:35last officer named in the indictment, was not involved in
- 7:38the sexual misconduct, but was alleged to have I legally
- 7:41influenced the prisoners to engage in the behavior. So does
- 7:47that sound like a Disneyland to you? Not to me?
- 7:50I'm sure it wouldn't sound like a Disneyland to the
- 7:53families of the inmates there who were being sexually abused either.
- 7:57All right, So here are some of the notable inmates
- 7:59that have served their time there as well. One Colleen Lrose.
- 8:03She served ten years and she was released in November
- 8:06of twenty eighteen. US citizen known as Jihad Jane pleaded
- 8:10guilty in twenty eleven to conspiracy to provide material support
- 8:14to terrorism and conspiracy to kill in a foreign country
- 8:18for using the Internet to recruit people to wage violent
- 8:21jihad and South Asia and Europe. Sounds like a fantastic person. Huh.
- 8:26Chelsea Gerlek, released from custody in twenty thirteen, served six years.
- 8:32Member of the eco terrorist group Earth Liberation Front, pleaded
- 8:36guilty in two thousand and six to committing arson at
- 8:39the veil Ski Resort in Colorado and businesses in Oregon
- 8:42between ninety six and two thousand and one. Several other
- 8:45members were also sentenced to prison. Maria Putina served an
- 8:50eighteen month sentence released in October of twenty and nineteen.
- 8:54Convicted of the Espionage Act. Was deported to Russia after
- 8:58her release from federal custody. Catherine may Wood served a
- 9:03twenty to forty year sentence released in January sixteenth of
- 9:07twenty twenty. Serial killer who murdered nursing home patients in
- 9:11conjunction with her lesbian partner, Gwendolyn Graham. Sounds like another
- 9:16fantastic human being. Huh. So you see here, folks, this
- 9:19is not a Disneyland, Okay, you don't put people like
- 9:22this in a Disneyland. Narcissa Vella's Novichek life in prison
- 9:29without parole for the beating deaths of her husband and
- 9:32mother in law. In two thousand and nine, Pernice Novichk
- 9:35and her son, multi millionaire Novak Junior, were murdered three
- 9:40months apart. Narsi novak Ben's estranged wife was convicted of
- 9:46orchestrating the murders. John Paul Scott died in nineteen eighty seven,
- 9:51known as the only escapee from Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary known
- 9:55to have reached San Francisco shore by swimming. Jalen del
- 9:59Shawn Young Ung scheduled for release on January twentieth of
- 10:03twenty twenty five, American woman from Vicksburg, Mississippi, who was
- 10:07convicted of attempting to join ISIS with their fiancee, Muhammad
- 10:11Mo Daclaca. On August eleventh, twenty sixteen, Young was sentenced
- 10:16to twelve years in prison. Dac Lala pleaded guilty and
- 10:19testified against Young and received eight years in prison. Mary
- 10:23Wilkerson released on February fourth, twenty twenty former quality assurances
- 10:29manager of the Peanut Corporation of America Caadata Savage serving
- 10:34a life sentence, sister of Caboni. Savage helped plot for
- 10:38the crime by retaliating against witnesses and aiding racketeering and
- 10:43hiring two hitmen, Lamont Lewis and Robert Merritt Lewis and
- 10:47did serving forty years. Merit Is serving life, and Caboni
- 10:50was sentenced to death. And finally, the woman of the Hour,
- 10:55Gallaine Maxwell, sentenced to twenty years in prison. Release date
- 10:59on July seventeenth. July twenty thirty seven. Associates of associate
- 11:04of Jeffrey Epstein convicted of sexual trafficking of minors and
- 11:08related offenses. All right, so there you have it, folks,
- 11:12a quick overview of Tallahassee and a couple of the
- 11:15issues that it has faced in the past, some of
- 11:18the people that it has housed. And as you can see,
- 11:21there has been a long array or should I say
- 11:25wide array of kinds of inmates that this place is served,
- 11:29from jihadis to serial killers. And for me, like I
- 11:34said earlier, the fact that she didn't get to go
- 11:37where she wanted to go is enough of a win
- 11:39for me. If they thought Tallahassee was a better facility,
- 11:42don't you think they would have asked to go to Tallahassee.
- 11:46They didn't, right, They asked to go to Danbury for
- 11:48a reason. So I'm glad that she didn't get to
- 11:52go to dan Berry and she's gonna have to go
- 11:55down to Florida and suck it up down here. All right.
- 11:59So we have an article today from The Daily Beast
- 12:01and the headline Glene Maxwell transferred to Swanky Florida prison.
- 12:06Now with everything we just talked about, I don't know
- 12:09about swanky. Now. Look again, it's not you know, the
- 12:12Shawshank Redemption place, right, it's not Guantanamo Bay, but it's
- 12:19still prison and shit still cracks off. This article was
- 12:24authored by Barbie Lazza Nado convicted sex trafficker and all
- 12:30around bad girl Glaine Maxwell. That's better than the usual
- 12:34explanation or way they explain Gallane Maxwell, So that gives
- 12:39some credit there. But still human trafficker you mean, right,
- 12:44and general all around scuzbag and child abuse are and
- 12:47bipedal serpent. Okay, that's what you mean. Glenn Maxwell has
- 12:51been transferred to the sprawling, low security Tallahassee Federal Correctional
- 12:55Institution in Florida. According to the Federal Board of Prison's database,
- 13:00The facility, which features a tony brick entrance with white
- 13:04pillars and the lush green sports field is where other
- 13:07famous criminals like Russian spy Maria Boutina and Jiha Jane
- 13:12Colleen Lrose serve their sentences. And the way it's described
- 13:17right like it's some kind of fancy hotel swank fields. Well, yeah,
- 13:23people got to play sports, right not. Remember, not everybody
- 13:26at the facility is Glenn Maxwell. There's some people there
- 13:30that are for you know, minor crimes, tax evasion and shit,
- 13:34and they're gonna be out in a couple of years.
- 13:36So should they just sit in their cells and not
- 13:38have any ability to play sports or rehabilitate themselves. Certainly
- 13:43not the kind of country I want to live in
- 13:45where you know, we just send people to prison and
- 13:48let them rode away and die. Now, unless you've committed
- 13:52crimes that deserve something like that, you know, murder, severe violence, hell,
- 13:57human trafficking as far as I'm concerned, But I don't
- 13:59make the rules. You know, there has to be a
- 14:02way for people to let off some steam and stuff,
- 14:04right the former procurus of underage girls, you mean the
- 14:10former child abuser, the former Jeffrey Epstein co conspirator, that's
- 14:15what you mean. Right for the billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein
- 14:20will be allowed to learn a trade like horder culture, cosmetology,
- 14:24or baking, participate in the prison talent show, and teach yoga,
- 14:28as she has done during her current incarceration. Based on
- 14:31the list of activities offered on the prison website and
- 14:35several prison review listings, it is unclear if she will
- 14:39be able to continue studying Russian. Well, my guess is
- 14:43she'll be able to have access to some computer time.
- 14:47Most inmates do have access to some computer time, so
- 14:49she should be able to get some kind of learning
- 14:52program if she wants to continue learning Russian, or get
- 14:55a textbook a Russian textbook and learn it that way. Jaxwell,
- 15:00now sixty one, is serving a twenty year sentence for
- 15:03trafficking underage girls. For Epstein, her one time lover. She
- 15:06will surely be happier than she has been at the
- 15:09Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, against which she had filed
- 15:13more than one hundred complaints, including excessive, humiliating body cavity
- 15:18searches and invasive shower surveillance. There's no doubt that any
- 15:23one of these federal prisons, for the most part, is
- 15:25better than the lockup she was in that lockup the
- 15:29mcc MDC. They're all shitholes, folks, I mean absolute shitholes,
- 15:35the kind of place I would never want one of
- 15:37my relatives to be in. According to several news reports,
- 15:41Judge Allison Nathan, who presided over her spectacular trial, spoke
- 15:46out against the transfer to such a cushy spot. This
- 15:50is just plain wrong in the article. I hate to
- 15:53say that, but it's just plain wrong. You mean to tell,
- 15:56if Tallahassee was so cushy, why wouldn't Maxwell ask go
- 16:00to Tallahassee? And as far as Nathan making that request,
- 16:03who knows what she really said or didn't say. I
- 16:06haven't seen one way or the other. But the fact
- 16:10is this, if it was Tallahassee that they wanted to
- 16:13go to in the first place, they would have asked
- 16:15for Tallahassee. They asked for Danberry for a reason. Nathan
- 16:23had hope to send her to FCI Danberry, on which
- 16:26the popular prison show Oranges the New Black is based.
- 16:29The Florida institution made headlines in twenty twenty one after
- 16:33prison guards were convicted of sexually abusing fifteen female inmates. Yeah,
- 16:37what about In two thousand and six, not even a
- 16:39mention of the shootout or anything here in the article.
- 16:43And that's why I added it to the beginning here
- 16:47so that we have a full overview of what's going on.
- 16:55The new facility will require her to wear an authorized
- 16:58prison outfit consisting of cac pants and a shirt or
- 17:01a khaki dress. The prison handbook outlines a number of perks,
- 17:05including access to a large commissary where she can spend
- 17:08three hundred and twenty dollars a month, and access to
- 17:11the internet and email through the prison network. Her days
- 17:14will begin at six am, and she can choose a
- 17:17number of activities to round out her schedule. That's how
- 17:20it works for everybody. She's not getting any special treatment, folks. Okay,
- 17:24same deal for my gramps. When he was at one
- 17:26at the facility, had himself a job and accounting job.
- 17:30He'd do his gig. Then after he was done doing
- 17:32whatever he had to do his quote unquote responsibilities, he'd
- 17:36go out to the baseball field and watch the guys
- 17:38play baseball, coach a couple of the ball teams. You know,
- 17:42there's a lot of things for people to do when
- 17:44you're in a minimum security prison, to try and you know,
- 17:48rehabilitate yourself with maxwell. She doesn't really need all of that, right,
- 17:52she's already rich. She doesn't need a college education, so
- 17:56she's just gonna have to find some busy work for
- 17:58herself to do. Several prison review sites list access to
- 18:05a weight room team, sports like flag football and softball,
- 18:08and pilates and yoga as activities afforded to the inmates
- 18:11who choose to participate. She can also get psychotherapy treatment.
- 18:16This is all that's you know, it's crazy that the
- 18:18Daily Beast is out here deriding it. This is the
- 18:21sort of thing that these leftist outlets cry about on
- 18:24a regular basis, having this sort of thing available for prisoners.
- 18:30And remember we're not talking about high security jail here, folks. Okay,
- 18:34high security prison, that's a different story. You shouldn't have
- 18:38any of this stuff available to you if you're that
- 18:40kind of criminal. But if you're somebody who just evaded
- 18:42taxes or got caught up in some sort of financial
- 18:46scheme or white collar crime, you really think you should
- 18:49be put in a facility with I hate to say it,
- 18:53but people that are borderline animals. That's not doing good
- 18:58good for anybody. We do that nobody's going to be
- 19:01rehabilitated that way. British Heiress Maxwell was convicted of five
- 19:09of six counts of sex trafficking and other crimes she
- 19:12carried out against four women, the youngest fourteen at the time,
- 19:16between nineteen ninety four and two thousand and four at
- 19:19Epstein's Palm Beach Villa, which is four hundred and twenty
- 19:22miles from her new prison. Her release date is July seventeenth,
- 19:26twenty thirty seven, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons database.
- 19:31So Maxwell transferred finally to the prison. She is gonna
- 19:37be in Florida, Tallahassee, not getting the dan Berry. Like
- 19:39we said here on the podcast, I knew she wasn't
- 19:42going to get Danberry. Now. I figured she'd get either
- 19:45medium or low. So it doesn't really shock me that
- 19:48she got low. To be honest with you, considering her
- 19:51status and who she is and blah blah blah, doesn't
- 19:54shock me one bit. Now, if I was making the decisions,
- 19:58she would be in high security prison. All of these
- 20:02molesters would be because as far as I'm concerned, they
- 20:04can't be rehabilitated, so why have them take up a
- 20:07spot in a low level facility, but I don't make
- 20:11the rules, unfortunately for us and fortunately for them. But
- 20:17the whole you know, oh it's a swanky look, I
- 20:21get it right. It's not an Alcatraz, it's not Gitmo.
- 20:26But it's still prison. She's still gonna be there for
- 20:28twenty years, and it's still going to be a shock
- 20:32to the system, especially for somebody like Maxwell who's used
- 20:35to writing their own ticket and doing whatever they want
- 20:38whenever they want. So there you have it, folks. We've
- 20:43been waiting to find out what her final destination would be,
- 20:46and now we have that information added to the catalog.
- 20:50So what do you, folks think? You think Maxwell is
- 20:53going to have a fun time while she's in prison
- 20:56no matter where she's at, or do you think it's
- 20:59going to be fifteen twenty years of absolute misery For me?
- 21:05I'm thinking absolute misery because when you're as rich as
- 21:08she was or is, and you come from where she
- 21:11came from, this is not the business. This is not
- 21:14the life that you're used to living. And Glen Maxwell
- 21:18is about to get a front row seat. If you'd
