- 0:00In this lessons episode, explore the journey from success without peace to healing through self-awareness.
- 0:05Learn why unhealed childhood wounds shape our adult lives.
- 0:08Learn how presence and mirror work can reconnect us to our true selves.
- 0:11And learn why grounding, nature, and yoga are essential first steps toward lasting inner fulfillment.
- 0:16So what happens when now you hear this idea and you're trying to reconcile this duality where you
- 0:31still want to be traditionally successful, but you also want to have fulfillment in all the other
- 0:36areas of your life that you've neglected for the past 30 years. And you're like, I only know one
- 0:43I only know how to bust my ass and have an okay relationship, but I know how to make money.
- 0:48That's right. Where do I start? Where do I start healing?
- 0:53Yeah, I think I'll tell you why I started. Am I going to die like this?
- 0:59Am I going to die? Never knowing real love. Am I going to die always having to achieve another
- 1:06goal? Am I going to die? Never knowing what peace is. Am I going to die being disconnected from my
- 1:13partner? Am I going to die feeling disconnected? It's got for my kids because love is love. It's a
- 1:20frequency, you know what I'm saying? And so those were the questions that I started to ask myself.
- 1:25And then, you know, when I started to become like really present to what was happening in my life,
- 1:31I started to realize that everything in my life, I can trace it backwards to what I did or didn't
- 1:39receive as a little boy or as a little girl. See, because now that's the first step in healing.
- 1:45The first step in healing is awareness. It's that oh shit moment. It's that moment where you
- 1:51finally understand time out. I have been operating this entire time in my life as a wounded little boy
- 2:00or a little girl. Sure, I have nice toys, nice cars, nice stuff, and I'm successful. But deep inside,
- 2:08I'm afraid to look in the mirror or I'm afraid to look at my partner when I'm making love or I'm
- 2:13afraid to be held or I'm afraid to calm down. I'm on vacation all the time and my partner is
- 2:21always complaining that I'm on the phone and like your brain justifies it because you're trying to
- 2:26give them a better life bullshit. You ain't trying to give nobody shit. You're trying to fulfill
- 2:32the parts of you that are missing. You're trying to fill the void in you as a matter of fact,
- 2:38I'll go as far as to say it. The same way that a crackhead smokes crack is the same way that you
- 2:42always have to have another goal. I've thought a lot about this idea of it's slightly different,
- 2:49but I think it ties into it. When you don't have a God in your life in the traditional sense,
- 2:53you replace something else with God and that can be work. It can be some other vice like drinking
- 2:58or drugs. I think this ties into it as well. When you don't when you don't heal, you numb that pain
- 3:05with something that society actually tells you is okay, which is work. Well, let's say that's
- 3:12the kicker. The kicker is, if I may, I'm going to take it a little bit deeper. Go for it. Yeah.
- 3:17Yeah. The kicker is that the 3D world here here in earth, the energy that rules the 3D world is
- 3:27the masculine energy. It's not the feminine, right? Which is why we think God is a man and which is
- 3:35why we are constantly up here in our heads, always on the go, go, go. Well, so what does the 3D
- 3:41world do? The 3D world uplifts and puts on a pedestal, the people that are in the system and
- 3:51successful at the system, right? So we put on a pedestal, people like Diddy. That dude is messed up,
- 4:02messed up, but we gladly have been buying tickets and support, but what, but he's successful. So
- 4:09I want to take a picture with him. You want to take a picture with darkness. So what, what,
- 4:13what you want to take a picture with because you're not awake and you don't understand what's
- 4:16actually happening, right? And so then here we are, we have a world that is basically telling you,
- 4:23hey, listen, everything that you've been looking for, which you've actually been looking for is the
- 4:29piece that you felt in your mother's womb. That's what you've been looking for your entire life.
- 4:34Everything you've been looking for, you will find it when you make more money or when you
- 4:38become more successful or when you have that car or when you have the partner or when you have
- 4:42whatever, you know, and you know, it takes, that's when a spiritual awakening happens is when you,
- 4:48when you finally get there, like I did and you're like son of a gun, I'm still not happy.
- 4:53And that's where the journey began for me. And that's where we take people through that process,
- 4:58so part of what happened with your mother was facing death and facing the reality of death.
- 5:04And like you said, the first question you ask yourself is, do I want to die this way?
- 5:09So I think that even walking through your own journey is usually helpful to people that are
- 5:14going to start on their own path, even after listening to this or consuming your content. Hopefully
- 5:19it doesn't take death. And I mean, I do like the idea of stoicism and sort of confronting your
- 5:25own death, but hopefully it doesn't take that to get somebody to take the first step. Where do they
- 5:30start? Where did you start? What's the first thing? I want to reiterate something, but you see,
- 5:36I think part of the healing process, if you decide to take it this deep is healing your relationship
- 5:42with death, because you have to understand that when you're afraid of death, you're actually
- 5:49afraid to live. Because everything in life is all duality. It's all one and the same. So for
- 5:56example, fear and love are actually the same. It's just broken. It's a strand of energy that is
- 6:04just broken, right? And so what happens is we as human beings, we go, uh, we're shutting off
- 6:10this side of it. So we're going to go live on this side of it. It's the same thing with life and
- 6:14if someone is afraid of dying, like by the way I once was, what is actually happening is you're
- 6:20afraid to live as your authentic self. This is really deep. So then you get to go into those parts
- 6:27of you in a deep, deep way to experience, wait a minute, who am I really? Who am I really without
- 6:34the bullshit? Who am I really? Who would I have been? If my mom would have known how to love me,
- 6:39which by the way, rewind, there's no way she could have because her mom, her mom died at 13
- 6:45days old. So what I had been carrying my whole life was a feminine wound that like most of your
- 6:52listeners, we've been carrying for generation upon generation upon generation. And if you've ever
- 6:59heard of the terminology, the one, you get to become the one, right? You get to become the one that
- 7:07heals it so that it ends with you and it doesn't pass on to your children. I know there's this movie
- 7:14called ends with you. I never watched it. I didn't want to get into the like the drama of the Blake
- 7:18and all that stuff, but it literally could end with you. So listen, where does it start?
- 7:24I would say one of the most powerful practices that we can have is to look in the mirror.
- 7:28And I'll tell you why because the eyes are connection, right? And the eyes are literally like the
- 7:38doorway to the soul. So you'll notice, like if you scroll down on my Instagram, I once did as well,
- 7:44most successful people that are wounded internally are always wearing sunglasses. Why? Because they're
- 7:51afraid for you to see them. That is the energetic picture of this. This is external. I need something
- 7:57external to block me so that you don't see the real me because I'm afraid of you seeing the real
- 8:04me. I'm afraid of you seeing past the barrier and the illusion. Yeah. And so the first thing I like
- 8:11to tell people is go look in the mirror because if you can't look at yourself, you're never going to
- 8:15be able to look at a partner. You're never ever actually, if you can't see yourself, you'll never
- 8:20be able to see someone else. If you can't love yourself, you'll never be able to love someone else.
- 8:25And what I discovered, I couldn't do the dude. My mind was always racing. I couldn't sit still
- 8:33meditation. We'll go there in a second. I couldn't look in the mirror because I was like, I just couldn't
- 8:38do it. I was so scared and so anxious and so disconnected, right? And so that's a daily practice
- 8:46that you can do. And then when you do, you just send loving thoughts to yourself, right? You
- 8:50send affirmations to yourself. You send kind words and kind energy to yourself. And I want to
- 8:56prepare your listener, get ready because emotion could start to come out. And that's your body
- 9:01starting to release and purge out everything that you've been holding inside of you. And so
- 9:07that's where that's a beautiful practice. The second thing and I trust me, listen, never in my
- 9:13life. I grew up in the ghetto. I was around gangs. I never in my life that I think I'd be this
- 9:21woo-woo guy that's about to tell you what I'm about to tell you. But go take your shoes off,
- 9:27go sit on the grass, go reconnect with the wind, the sun, nature. There's a reason why you feel so
- 9:36replenished when you get away with from all of the hoopla and you go on vacation. It's because
- 9:41you're reconnecting with nature, which is mother earth, which by the way is the mother, right? It's
- 9:49you reconnecting to the groundedness of the mother. We were never intended to walk around with shoes
- 9:55on it. So that's a second thing that you can do. And then the third is yoga. I can't stress this
- 10:04enough. It's really a beautiful practice because it combines you to your body, your mind, your heart,
- 10:11your breathing, your soul. It reconnects you with you. And I was one of those guys at the
- 10:16beginning that I was like, I'm not going to do that shit like. And now, man, it just it brings me
- 10:21back to me. I'm going to give a little plug. My wife has a beautiful yoga app. It's blessed yoga.com.
