Jeremiah Smith Took Chris Olave's Last Record

Menace2Sports with Zach Smith · Oct 5, 2026 · 1h 26m

Jeremiah Smith just passed Chris Olave. In Ohio State's 31-14 statement win at Kinnick Stadium, Smith hauled in his 36th career touchdown catch to take the Buckeyes' all-time receiving touchdown record from Olave (35), then broke Emeka Egbuka's career receptions record on the same afternoon with an 11-catch, 206-yard, two-touchdown performance. We break down how Smith did it, what it means for his Heisman case, and how Ohio State's defense answered every question about the run game by holding Iowa to just 39 rushing yards, the fewest the Hawkeyes have managed since 2005.
