- 0:01Speaker 1: H h.
- 0:14Speaker 2: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:18Speaker 2: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley, a long look,
- 0:22Speaker 2: Trey Trenholme and Rob Sharma making his illustrious return from
- 0:27Speaker 2: the big Apple back inside the treehouse where it's nice
- 0:30Speaker 2: and cozy and cool. How are you feeling you? You
- 0:36Speaker 2: said you were a little sickish?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yeah, so autoimmune compromise. So I get sick very easily,
- 0:43Speaker 1: and especially when I travel and there's a lot of
- 0:45Speaker 1: you know, there's kids, and you know, people that don't
- 0:50Speaker 1: wash their hands a lot, so I can get uh,
- 0:53Speaker 1: I get the yucks.
- 0:54Speaker 2: So ah yeah, auto you get the yucks from being autoimmune.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Compar is that aches. You get the aches for short.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I get the vomits and then I get the poops. Yep,
- 1:09Speaker 1: what's the what's the aches? What do what do you
- 1:11Speaker 1: what do you call that? Oh?
- 1:12Speaker 2: Auto immune compromise, Oh gotcha, gotcha it's one letter off
- 1:16Speaker 2: and being way worse.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I know. Uh yeah, so I uh it's a little
- 1:22Speaker 1: bad stomach, and then I get a little vomity. I'm tired, so.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what. I've been meaning to talk to
- 1:30Speaker 2: Jacqueline from Brooks plumbing about getting a toilet in here
- 1:33Speaker 2: inside the tree house. Just haven't pulled that trigger just yet,
- 1:36Speaker 2: because honestly, we're also used to hanging our ass off
- 1:39Speaker 2: the window. It's it's habits are hard to break, if
- 1:44Speaker 2: we're being honest. But we're glad to have you back.
- 1:48Speaker 2: You're back where internet is a little more reliable, and
- 1:52Speaker 2: we want you to know that you were mostly missed.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Oh mostly, thank you so much.
- 1:59Speaker 2: We can't we can't ever be one hundred in our
- 2:01Speaker 2: feelings around here. It's always got to be just a
- 2:04Speaker 2: little bit short.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Oh I missed you guys completely, Then I can be
- 2:07Speaker 1: in my feelings. The the hotel was a little bit
- 2:10Speaker 1: of a bait and switch from Airbnb, Oh yeah, in
- 2:15Speaker 1: New York City, which happens apparently quite a bit. It was,
- 2:18Speaker 1: it was fine, it was decent, the location was great,
- 2:21Speaker 1: but they did have construction going on in the entire block.
- 2:25Speaker 1: So at one point my air conditioning went out and
- 2:28Speaker 1: then the internet went out, and they just kept saying
- 2:31Speaker 1: we'll have the internet back in an hour.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Oh sure, And so.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I went across the street to kind of cool down,
- 2:36Speaker 1: and that's when I was going to try to hop
- 2:37Speaker 1: on with my phone. There's so many people. There was
- 2:40Speaker 1: a protest happening. Then there was a rickshaw parade.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Man, everything really does happen there in New York City,
- 2:48Speaker 2: the new cradle of existence. Yeah, that that was everything
- 2:53Speaker 2: that was happening currently recently, just the last you know,
- 2:57Speaker 2: a couple of days with you. But Trey and I've
- 3:01Speaker 2: been discussing something recently, and that is this show in
- 3:06Speaker 2: its radio form has a rich history, to put it mildly,
- 3:11Speaker 2: and in that time, because we've been we have we
- 3:14Speaker 2: had done it for so many years. There's content that
- 3:19Speaker 2: that we have played with from years ago, and if
- 3:22Speaker 2: we're being honest, some of it's a couple of decades old,
- 3:25Speaker 2: because that's how not old we are, but how young
- 3:29Speaker 2: we started like that speaking of bait and switch. You
- 3:31Speaker 2: like that transition there, Trey, Now.
- 3:34Speaker 3: That's how old we are.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Shut up, man. So we decided, hey, you know what,
- 3:40Speaker 2: other we know that people will utilize throwback Thursday, and
- 3:45Speaker 2: it's not always great, It's okay, it's more of just
- 3:48Speaker 2: like a catchphrase and it always just kind of falls
- 3:50Speaker 2: short of any sort of nostalgic expectations. Well, not here,
- 3:54Speaker 2: not inside the Treehouse, because we decided if we like
- 3:58Speaker 2: it to do a little throwback Thursday. Okay, and you
- 4:04Speaker 2: will not be disappointed, at least not with this one,
- 4:06Speaker 2: because this one is guaranteed, sure fire to put a
- 4:11Speaker 2: smile on your face, not just in general for you
- 4:15Speaker 2: listening or you watching on our Patreon channel patreon dot
- 4:19Speaker 2: COM's left Treehouse on there, but specifically you, Raj, I'm
- 4:23Speaker 2: pretty certain you've seen this that if you haven't, oh
- 4:28Speaker 2: my god, because we know how much you enjoy seeing
- 4:33Speaker 2: other people in pain and distress. Yes, and I don't
- 4:37Speaker 2: think there is a greater example of this in the
- 4:40Speaker 2: history of the Internet, because without the Grape Lady, I
- 4:45Speaker 2: don't even think the Internet ever takes off Grape Lady,
- 4:50Speaker 2: the simple fact that it doesn't immediately register in your
- 4:55Speaker 2: brain just hearing the grape Lady. I'm really looking for
- 5:00Speaker 2: to this. So I'm going to take you back to
- 5:04Speaker 2: two thousand and six. Okay, that's when this clip first
- 5:09Speaker 2: found the light of the Internet. The situation that depicts
- 5:14Speaker 2: happened many years prior. But you know, the Internet wasn't
- 5:17Speaker 2: around in the eighties and nineties the way it was
- 5:20Speaker 2: in the early two thousands, So some of these older
- 5:24Speaker 2: clips are harder to come by, but when they do,
- 5:27Speaker 2: my goodness. So we are going to start our throwback
- 5:30Speaker 2: Thursday with the grape lady who is at a winery
- 5:35Speaker 2: in Georgia doing a morning news report on Fox five Atlanta,
- 5:40Speaker 2: and she gets herself into a grape stomping competition with
- 5:45Speaker 2: the local representative from the winery, and she gets a
- 5:49Speaker 2: little carried away. The reporter does, and things happen, and
- 5:53Speaker 2: when things happen, things transpire, and uh, tragedy befalls her.
- 6:05Speaker 2: So the right winery having a grape stomping competition for
- 6:10Speaker 2: the television morning show Fox five in Atlanta, and the
- 6:13Speaker 2: reporter smashing the grapes gets a little carried away.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Measuring cups are down below, right, Measuring cups are down below,
- 6:20Speaker 4: all right, And.
- 6:21Speaker 5: If you if you win, you get to stay chut
- 6:23Speaker 5: toy lawn. And what else do you have going on here? Well,
- 6:26Speaker 5: something's what you're saying.
- 6:27Speaker 4: You can come and spend the day listening to live music,
- 6:29Speaker 4: eating international foods, having one.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Now real quick. So you have two ladies, both in
- 6:35Speaker 2: purple buckets, smashing grapes on top of a wooden deck
- 6:38Speaker 2: that is elevated above the ground.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Fine tours and tasting seminars.
- 6:47Speaker 5: It's a lot of fun a whole day. Stop.
- 6:51Speaker 2: So the reporter is the lady on the left. She
- 6:53Speaker 2: tells the winery represent okay, stop because she's gonna cheat now.
- 6:58Speaker 2: She wants to cheat at the fake grape stomping competition
- 7:01Speaker 2: that they're having for the morning show. So she tells
- 7:03Speaker 2: the lady to stop, and then of course she picks
- 7:05Speaker 2: up and keeps going, thinking she's going to have more
- 7:07Speaker 2: wine in her bucket at the end of it. Well,
- 7:09Speaker 2: I'm a huge, huge fan of comeuppance. I love a
- 7:13Speaker 2: media karma, instant gratification for me, not for her. This
- 7:18Speaker 2: is what happens when you cheat.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Okay stop.
- 7:31Speaker 2: She gets a little carried away and the grape stomping
- 7:34Speaker 2: bucket slips on the juice, falls forward and has one
- 7:40Speaker 2: of the original, if not greatest face plants in the
- 7:42Speaker 2: history of the Internet. Off the raised platform, straight down
- 7:48Speaker 2: onto the turf below. Now, Rajer, I'm going to ask
- 7:51Speaker 2: you you do you remember this or have you seen
- 7:54Speaker 2: this at all? Ever?
- 7:56Speaker 1: First time I can tell you, oh.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Wow, hang on, congratulations.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yeah uh.
- 8:09Speaker 2: The camera guy doesn't move No, he is a disciplined
- 8:13Speaker 2: photo journalist Raj. He he keeps the camera trained on
- 8:19Speaker 2: the story before his eyes no matter what happens. He's
- 8:23Speaker 2: committed to the craft.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I think he just likes the castle behind it is.
- 8:29Speaker 2: It's a nice looking castle. I mean, look, it's a whiner.
- 8:31Speaker 2: It's a beautiful, you know, estate type thing. So yeah,
- 8:36Speaker 2: so let's let's relive this a little bit for this lady.
- 8:38Speaker 2: She's stomping in the bucket food.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Having wine tours and tasting, then your tours, seminars.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Arts and crafts. It's a lot of fun, a whole
- 8:47Speaker 5: day sack.
- 8:55Speaker 2: How this is better the second time, Raj, I've stopped
- 9:10Speaker 2: it before it even hits its crescendo, because not only
- 9:13Speaker 2: is there a little bit more of this video for
- 9:15Speaker 2: you to witness and for us to examine and to appreciate,
- 9:19Speaker 2: like a fine wine, there's a backstory and an update
- 9:26Speaker 2: that goes along with the Grape Lady of Fox five Atlanta,
- 9:31Speaker 2: As Trey said one of the og viral videos of
- 9:34Speaker 2: the Internet in two thousand and six, are you ready
- 9:38Speaker 2: for more good and you better listen to the next segment.

- 10:17Speaker 2: you know, you're doing remodeling work underneath the roof inside
- 10:21Speaker 2: the home as well. And you were telling me just
- 10:25Speaker 2: recently that you, Daniel and Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration,
- 10:30Speaker 2: offer lifetime warranties on all your work.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:33Speaker 7: Dan, that's something that we talked about for a while
- 10:35Speaker 7: now and we decided to go ahead and just pull
- 10:37Speaker 7: the trigger on it. We've had excellent reviews, we've had
- 10:39Speaker 7: excellent referrals. People really love our work when they give
- 10:43Speaker 7: us a chance, and we just want to put our
- 10:45Speaker 7: money where our mouth is. And you know, that's the
- 10:48Speaker 7: best way I can always say that is just back
- 10:51Speaker 7: it up. Back it up. When I was growing up
- 10:53Speaker 7: and I told somebody who's gonna kick their ass, you
- 10:55Speaker 7: got to back it up. Well, now that I'm a
- 10:57Speaker 7: grown man and we're doing professional services on people homes,
- 11:00Speaker 7: and I tell him that they're never gonna have a

- 11:15Speaker 7: to worry about us not coming back.
- 11:16Speaker 2: You can experience it for yourself, and you can put
- 11:18Speaker 2: your money where Daniel's mouth is and he'll honor it.
- 11:22Speaker 2: As you just heard, even if he dies, he's still
- 11:25Speaker 2: going to honor this stuff. I mean, that's that's that's
- 11:28Speaker 2: some serious integrity and quality craftsmanship to have the confidence
- 11:32Speaker 2: to be like, yeah, this is how we do things.
- 11:33Speaker 2: So you give the man a call for that free
- 11:35Speaker 2: roof inspection. Eight three three Cook DFW the website cookdfw
- 11:39Speaker 2: dot com.

- 11:57Speaker 2: at fair Least. That's fair Least a website fairleas dot org.
- 12:01Speaker 2: If you are wanting to get a new vehicle, then
- 12:06Speaker 2: you need to consider using fair lease as you'r a
- 12:10Speaker 2: go to service to do so, because not only Can
- 12:12Speaker 2: you save money when you lease versus buy from fairleas
- 12:15Speaker 2: and also save a bunch of time. Let them show
- 12:18Speaker 2: you how. Go to fairlease dot org, fairlease dot org.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Any make any model um and some might even be
- 12:26Speaker 2: able to take advantage of nobody down for ninety days.
- 12:28Speaker 2: So new vehicle go to fair least fair lease dot org.
- 12:33Speaker 2: All right, you're ready for the rest of the grape
- 12:35Speaker 2: lady raj I am all right. Here we go. We
- 12:40Speaker 2: will start back over at the smashing, at the incident
- 12:43Speaker 2: itself where she tries to cheat and then is immediately.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Come upp and curd of wine, tours and tasting. Can
- 12:52Speaker 4: your tours, seminars, arts and crafts.
- 12:55Speaker 5: It's a lot of fun, a whole day.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Stop now. This is when we first watched this video
- 13:07Speaker 2: back in two thousand and six. We try to analyze
- 13:09Speaker 2: it from every possible angle. Unfortunately, this is not like
- 13:13Speaker 2: the JFK assassination and you've got multip you've got another
- 13:15Speaker 2: angle to see from. You only got the one camera
- 13:18Speaker 2: right here, and that's it. There is no zapruiter over
- 13:21Speaker 2: in the bushes getting a second angle on this lady
- 13:25Speaker 2: falling out of her grape stomping bucket and face planting
- 13:28Speaker 2: onto the turf below. So we were trying to figure
- 13:30Speaker 2: out all the way back in two thousand and six,
- 13:32Speaker 2: what had her reacting in such a way where like, ooh,
- 13:36Speaker 2: I can't breathe all that stuff. At the time, I
- 13:40Speaker 2: remember thinking that it looked like she smashed her shin
- 13:45Speaker 2: on the edge of the wood decking on the way down. Now,
- 13:50Speaker 2: anyone that's ever smashed their shin really really good knows
- 13:54Speaker 2: that hurts like hell. And if you hit a bone
- 13:57Speaker 2: hard enough, it'll take your breath away, even though there
- 14:01Speaker 2: are two completely different bodily systems, you know, bones versus lungs.
- 14:06Speaker 2: If you hit your body hard enough, even on an
- 14:11Speaker 2: appendage nowhere near the lungs, it will take your breath away. Trey,
- 14:14Speaker 2: do you remember when you first saw this. Is that
- 14:17Speaker 2: what you thought as well, that there was a shin
- 14:20Speaker 2: incident or did you have another theory at the time.
- 14:23Speaker 3: No, I thought she went head chest first and like
- 14:26Speaker 3: maybe broke a collarbone or something.
- 14:29Speaker 2: That's that's an interesting assessment as well. Ros you were
- 14:31Speaker 2: pre med at Texas State, which is sort of like
- 14:34Speaker 2: saying you you you know, were a drug dealer or
- 14:39Speaker 2: a producer maybe both. Do you have a visual hypothesis
- 14:47Speaker 2: onto why she is in such great pain?
- 14:50Speaker 1: I think she might have broken some rips.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Okay, let's now go to the current update. As much
- 15:00Speaker 2: as there is one. You may not know Melissa Sanders' name,
- 15:03Speaker 2: but you probably know her as the grape Stomper or
- 15:05Speaker 2: the grape Lady, or the grape Lady epic fall Girl.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Those names are in reference to a viral video that
- 15:11Speaker 2: first appeared on YouTube in January of two thousand and six.
- 15:14Speaker 2: What a great start to the year, and it became
- 15:16Speaker 2: one of the most famous falls caught on camera. The
- 15:19Speaker 2: original clip aired on the WAGATV local news station in Atlanta, Georgia,
- 15:24Speaker 2: and it shows Sander challenging another woman to a grape
- 15:27Speaker 2: stomping contest. Sander stops the race, but then decides to
- 15:30Speaker 2: get a few extra stomps in. After the races over
- 15:33Speaker 2: and true cheaters never win fashion, she loses her balance
- 15:35Speaker 2: and falls face first into the ground. But there is
- 15:38Speaker 2: something about her fault that is just extraordinary and has
- 15:41Speaker 2: led to the video being burned in the minds of
- 15:43Speaker 2: millions of us. It may be the arrogance before the fall,
- 15:46Speaker 2: the way she landed or most likely the yells of
- 15:49Speaker 2: pain afterwards that made this one one of the first
- 15:51Speaker 2: viral videos ever. The ouch ouch was awkward, but the
- 15:55Speaker 2: true ridiculousness of the clip comes in her colleagues in
- 15:58Speaker 2: the studio have things to say, Yeah, how are the
- 16:14Speaker 2: other thing about this before I get to the anchors
- 16:18Speaker 2: here is not only does the photo journalist stay with
- 16:22Speaker 2: the shot and stay with the story that has shifted
- 16:25Speaker 2: before his eyes mm hmm, but the technical operators in
- 16:30Speaker 2: the studio playing the soundtrack have also maintained discipline by
- 16:34Speaker 2: continuing the soundtrack as she's writhing in pain. Listen, I agree,
- 16:47Speaker 2: what is that an accordion in the background? I mean,
- 16:49Speaker 2: how playful and fun? What a perfect soundtrack to the
- 16:52Speaker 2: most embarrassing and painful moment of this reporter's life.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Very whimsical, exactly old old Italian music.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Which, by the way, before before the mafia got truly organized,
- 17:07Speaker 2: this is how they offered people back in the day.
- 17:10Speaker 2: They made it look like a grape stopping accident. So
- 17:13Speaker 2: now let's go to the anchors.
- 17:16Speaker 5: No, I think she's actually hurt. Now I think she is.
- 17:20Speaker 5: She took a hard fall off.
- 17:24Speaker 2: So show me that your morning news anchors are psychopaths. Well,
- 17:29Speaker 2: that's what they did. They show that the morning anchors
- 17:31Speaker 2: are kind of psychopathic, like oh wow, youch okay.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Well it's also it leads to one of the second
- 17:38Speaker 3: things we've always loved is when anchors have to go
- 17:40Speaker 3: off script.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah, because there's nothing in the in the prompter that
- 17:45Speaker 2: says show sympathy or empathy for everything that has now
- 17:52Speaker 2: happened to Melissa, your friend supposedly and colleague.
- 18:00Speaker 5: Every No, I think she's actually hurt. No, I think
- 18:06Speaker 5: she is. She took a hard fall off there. Oh gosh,
- 18:10Speaker 5: I hope she's okay.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Do you okay.
- 18:13Speaker 5: We're gonna make sure she is.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Check on her, And.
- 18:17Speaker 2: As you can tell, I'm gonna try and check on
- 18:18Speaker 2: her so fast. I'm gonna stay seated on this chair
- 18:21Speaker 2: on this stage at the TV station and not make
- 18:24Speaker 2: any effort whatsoever to call or drive out there to
- 18:26Speaker 2: see if Melissa's okay. Yeah, nobody, not even the cameramen
- 18:31Speaker 2: in the studio are breaking their concentration, like, no, we's
- 18:35Speaker 2: got to stay with the shot.
- 18:36Speaker 5: We'll be back right after this.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Coming up next. Traffic and weather, traffic on the five.
- 18:44Speaker 2: That's right, you got to stick to it. You set
- 18:46Speaker 2: that expectation. If you don't hit traffic on the fives
- 18:48Speaker 2: just because Melissa fell off the grape stomping bucket, people
- 18:51Speaker 2: are gonna be pissed and they're gonna email. The Internet
- 18:55Speaker 2: at large tried to track Melissa Sanders down for many years,
- 18:58Speaker 2: and in two thousand and eight finally made a public
- 19:01Speaker 2: appearance regarding the video. In an interview on a radio
- 19:04Speaker 2: program called Totally Real Expose You Never Heard Of, she
- 19:07Speaker 2: talked about the fall. When asked about her thoughts on
- 19:09Speaker 2: the incident, she said, in my embarrassed that I fell.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Of course, I also broke a couple of ribs. Thanks
- 19:15Speaker 2: for asking, so raj mm hm, congratulations, sir. Yeah, a
- 19:21Speaker 2: couple of broken ribs is accurate there, Yeah, I could tell,
- 19:30Speaker 2: She said, I also broke a couple of ribs, thanks
- 19:33Speaker 2: for asking. I had to spend a few weeks in
- 19:35Speaker 2: the hospital under observation. I suffered quite a bit for
- 19:38Speaker 2: an honest mistake, a momentary lapse in concentration. And now
- 19:41Speaker 2: I'm trying to move on. And that's the last we've
- 19:45Speaker 2: heard from her, or of her was back in two
- 19:49Speaker 2: thousand and eight, but she lives forever. If you win,
- 19:55Speaker 2: you get to stay chut tolne And what else do
- 19:57Speaker 2: you have going on here?
- 19:58Speaker 5: Well tell me quite your things.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Come and spend the day listening to live music, eating
- 20:02Speaker 4: international foods, having wine tours and tasting ten your tours, seminars,
- 20:08Speaker 4: arts and crafts.
- 20:09Speaker 5: It's a lot of fun, a whole day. Stop.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Oh how how how he'll stop?
- 20:20Speaker 5: I'll stop? I agad.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I can't read either. It's so good. She said it
- 20:33Speaker 1: was an honest mistake. That's on the best part. The
- 20:37Speaker 1: dishonesty was no.
- 20:45Speaker 7: No.
- 20:45Speaker 2: An honest mistake is maybe like not carrying the one
- 20:48Speaker 2: or something on your taxes. But when you're openly brazenly
- 20:52Speaker 2: trying to cheat a made up grape stomping competition from
- 20:58Speaker 2: for your morning news segment, you got what uh what
- 21:01Speaker 2: many of us call karma.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I hope they sent her wine in the hospital.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Well not just any wine, but the wine that she
- 21:10Speaker 2: helped produce. That I mean that that would be fair,
- 21:16Speaker 2: wouldn't it like a nice uh broken rib Chablis.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Chateau?
- 21:30Speaker 2: Oh god, ca, you'd imagine the label.
- 21:36Speaker 6: You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online that Treehouse

- 22:07Speaker 2: in Dallas, Jacqueline, you came out a few times to
- 22:10Speaker 2: help us with some issues, and your response time was phenomenal.
- 22:14Speaker 2: And it wasn't just because it was me. It was
- 22:16Speaker 2: because that's the kind of company you run. You go
- 22:18Speaker 2: out of your way trying to help every client and
- 22:21Speaker 2: try to get there as soon as you can.
- 22:23Speaker 9: Well, I mean, the reality of it is is that
- 22:25Speaker 9: plumbing is unfortunately a need and not so much a want. Yes,
- 22:29Speaker 9: you can want to remodel the bathroom and that's not pressing,
- 22:33Speaker 9: but typically when it comes to service or leak investigations,
- 22:36Speaker 9: et cetera, et cetera. If you've got to stoppage on
- 22:39Speaker 9: the mainline and you don't know and you keep putting
- 22:43Speaker 9: liquid or you know, waste into the drains, if it
- 22:48Speaker 9: has nowhere to go. It will come back in the
- 22:50Speaker 9: house and at that point in time, it's no longer
- 22:53Speaker 9: a want, it's a need, and that sort of thing
- 22:56Speaker 9: can't wait. When you have those emergencies, you you have
- 23:00Speaker 9: got to figure out how to manage the crews so
- 23:02Speaker 9: that you can have the best response time.
- 23:04Speaker 2: That's right, and they'll show up and they'll do it quickly.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Called Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing for any and all of

- 23:54Speaker 2: dot com. Rojer mentioned earlier that you were. You were
- 23:57Speaker 2: flying yesterday coming back from New York. M complicated because
- 24:03Speaker 2: you typically get sick whenever you travel because of your
- 24:07Speaker 2: eight your autoimmune what was the CEE auto immune? See
- 24:14Speaker 2: this is where my memory problems come into play. Compromise,
- 24:17Speaker 2: Thank you, ye autoimmune compromise, Thank you, Trey. But that
- 24:24Speaker 2: wasn't all that you had to contend with, because you
- 24:26Speaker 2: had a lovely seat mate as well.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I did. I did the upgrade, and spirit was really
- 24:34Speaker 1: good for this first leg of the flight.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Oh that was really good of you to go from
- 24:38Speaker 2: the wing to actually inside the plane.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I think that was almost If I paid another fifteen
- 24:43Speaker 1: I think I was going to be the pilot.
- 24:45Speaker 2: That's a special program they typically reserved for children with
- 24:48Speaker 2: absolutely zero training. But if you pay for it, you
- 24:50Speaker 2: can get it.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But you'll see this when you travel next. They have
- 24:53Speaker 1: a new program. It's very very new, so much so
- 24:56Speaker 1: where they don't know exactly how it works. But they
- 25:01Speaker 1: charged me seventy five dollars to move me up to
- 25:02Speaker 1: the big seat, and then oversold all the big seats,
- 25:05Speaker 1: so then just put me back to where I was
- 25:07Speaker 1: regularly sitting, but still charged me seventy five dollars when
- 25:10Speaker 1: they gave me unlimited snacks and drinks and whatever. But
- 25:14Speaker 1: the guy I was sitting next to was an older gentleman.
- 25:17Speaker 1: His name is Larry, and he was sweetest pie. He's
- 25:20Speaker 1: from Long Island, that's where he grew up, and he
- 25:23Speaker 1: was going to Coral Springs. His He goes, my wife
- 25:26Speaker 1: is six, I'm gonna go check on her. I was like,
- 25:29Speaker 1: she lives in Florida and he's like, well, I have
- 25:31Speaker 1: a house in two places. I was like, ah, he said,
- 25:34Speaker 1: second wife, and then he told me his story and
- 25:37Speaker 1: it was very sweet. He was telling me about his
- 25:40Speaker 1: Patricia was his first wife. That's the girl he asked
- 25:44Speaker 1: a prom and they were together from prom for forty
- 25:48Speaker 1: something years. But I don't know how they let him
- 25:53Speaker 1: travel because he would tell me the story. And then
- 25:56Speaker 1: he's like, how long into this flight do you think
- 25:59Speaker 1: we are? And I was like, Larry, were about an
- 26:01Speaker 1: hour in and he's like, and your name is And
- 26:04Speaker 1: I've already told him my name and I was like, hmm,
- 26:07Speaker 1: where are you from, Larry. I'm from Long Island, but
- 26:10Speaker 1: I also have the house and Crawl Springs. My wife
- 26:12Speaker 1: isn't feeling, well, how's Patricia doing? And he goes, oh,
- 26:20Speaker 1: did I tell you the story? And he wouldn't remember
- 26:22Speaker 1: every twenty to thirty, it's like very fifty first dates,
- 26:26Speaker 1: Like every thirty minutes or so, he would recycle and
- 26:28Speaker 1: I was a brand new person.
- 26:30Speaker 2: And he was telling you the story of his first love, Yes, Patricia,
- 26:34Speaker 2: and then he'd forget it and then have to retell it.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Yeah, he wouldn't forget it. His brain was like, let's
- 26:40Speaker 1: start the story over again.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Well, that's what I mean. You didn't get fifty first dates.
- 26:45Speaker 2: You got the notebook in real life.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I did, and it was a very sweet story. She
- 26:49Speaker 1: ended up she had MS and that's what she passed
- 26:51Speaker 1: away from.
- 26:52Speaker 2: You're right, that sounds adorable.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but the story was extremely sweet. But I just
- 26:59Speaker 1: felt bad because every like thirty minutes or so, he
- 27:02Speaker 1: didn't know where he was, how long of a fight
- 27:05Speaker 1: he was into where there was one point He's like,
- 27:07Speaker 1: where do you think we're going? No?
- 27:11Speaker 2: And that's why silver alerts exist.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Yes, And I think that's what was happening. I think
- 27:15Speaker 1: somebody just put him on a plane. As I feelater, Larry,
- 27:22Speaker 1: We're done with you. We got the house now like
- 27:26Speaker 1: like it's like his kids were like, here, Dad put
- 27:28Speaker 1: him on a plane. Let's see where he gets up.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 27:31Speaker 1: But he was very sweet. So I bought him, uh,
- 27:36Speaker 1: two things of Tito's and in a cranberry juice.
- 27:40Speaker 2: You know what that makes sense if you're sitting next
- 27:42Speaker 2: to a dementia pation on an airline. Let's get him
- 27:44Speaker 2: all up.
- 27:47Speaker 1: And I said, well, don't tell the new wife that
- 27:49Speaker 1: I got y'all liquored up. And he goes, oh, I won't,
- 27:55Speaker 1: is it pat? And I was like, oh, man, no
- 27:58Speaker 1: it's not. So get your story straight before we land, buddy.
- 28:00Speaker 1: We got another hour and fifteen minutes.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Man, you just threw some serious complications into that man's
- 28:06Speaker 2: already very complicated life.
- 28:08Speaker 1: She's twenty years he's eighty seven. She is twenty two
- 28:12Speaker 1: years younger than him. So I think she understands.
- 28:15Speaker 2: That's the second wife, Yes, not the first wife that
- 28:19Speaker 2: they allegedly went to prom And yes, you got it
- 28:22Speaker 2: wasn't his prom.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just real. I don't know if his wife
- 28:26Speaker 1: is actually dead. I think he just forgot who she was, Like,
- 28:29Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Also very possible.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I think she might be in Long Island, and that's
- 28:34Speaker 1: why he's going to Coral Springs, that's where he's from.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Let's be honest. Is that the worst possible seat mate
- 28:40Speaker 2: to have, the one that won't stop talking and just
- 28:42Speaker 2: keeps telling you the same story over and over again.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I feel like I'm that guy without dementia. So so,
- 28:52Speaker 1: but we got off the plane safely. I made sure
- 28:55Speaker 1: that he got to baggage claim, and then I went
- 28:58Speaker 1: on from there.
- 28:59Speaker 2: And then and you made sure he had the proper
- 29:00Speaker 2: tag on him so someone could claim him.
- 29:02Speaker 1: He did, Okay, I didn't ask it. I just remembered this.
- 29:05Speaker 1: But he had a lanyard and I couldn't figure out
- 29:07Speaker 1: what the lanyard was for. So maybe you're right.
- 29:10Speaker 2: I think I think he was tagged before getting on
- 29:12Speaker 2: the plane to make sure that he was claimed by
- 29:17Speaker 2: the person waiting to accept him on the other end
- 29:20Speaker 2: of the trip.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I know what the baggage fees are. I can't imagine
- 29:23Speaker 1: what Spirit charges for a human, like it's seventy five
- 29:29Speaker 1: dollars for the big seat. What's up with the big guy?
- 29:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it wasn't Spirit Airlines that said friends fly Free.
- 29:37Speaker 2: That was a totally different airline. With different standards. Yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 2: nothing's free on Spirit. You're gonna pay for it one
- 29:44Speaker 2: way or another. Even if it has the appearance of free,
- 29:47Speaker 2: You're paying for it somewhere, some way, somehow.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Yes. But the first leg of the flight, Ryan and Pierre,
- 29:53Speaker 1: who were the flight attendants, they were very lovely. Ryan
- 29:56Speaker 1: recognized me, he knew who I was as a comic.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Oh nice I got. I got very very lovely treatment.
- 30:01Speaker 1: We took a picture at the end. The next flight,
- 30:05Speaker 1: they didn't give a crap who I was from the
- 30:09Speaker 1: flight before, because they'd sent a letter like, hey, this
- 30:11Speaker 1: guy's come the next flight, so make sure you take
- 30:13Speaker 1: care of him, and they did not.
- 30:17Speaker 2: You're sorry to burst your bubble rage, but you also
- 30:19Speaker 2: have to pay for the special treatment on Spirit alone.
- 30:23Speaker 2: There's there's a little thing that I was able to
- 30:25Speaker 2: hack into your Spirit account and hit the box and
- 30:29Speaker 2: check the box that says you spend an extra you know,
- 30:32Speaker 2: fifty sixty bucks to be recognized on the plane by
- 30:35Speaker 2: the flight attendant. And then they asked the photos an
- 30:37Speaker 2: additional twenty bucks and all that.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Yeah, you have to you have to pay for them
- 30:40Speaker 3: to read the letter.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I paid for them to write it, so yeah. The
- 30:49Speaker 1: the lady that the next flight attendant. I was like,
- 30:53Speaker 1: can I get my die coach? He goes another one.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I was like, I never got the first one. I
- 30:57Speaker 1: don't know.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just what you need is a snooty Spirit
- 31:02Speaker 2: Airlines flight attendant.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Thank you. You can't be part of that airline and
- 31:08Speaker 1: have an attitude. I didn't.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Oh, yes you can. All the times I have flown Spirit,
- 31:13Speaker 2: that actually might be the one thing they will throw
- 31:15Speaker 2: in for free.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I don't know. I would have to bleep it, but
- 31:21Speaker 1: we'll hang on.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I got it ready to go.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Oh no, I was just gonna raise your hand when
- 31:26Speaker 1: you need it. They just I think that when you're
- 31:29Speaker 1: on your way out in the flight attendant game, I
- 31:31Speaker 1: think the last stop is Spirit and so on the
- 31:34Speaker 1: application they're like are you a yep? And you tick yes,
- 31:40Speaker 1: and they're like on board. Yeah.
- 31:43Speaker 2: I've often wondered that, like I've I've wondered if because
- 31:46Speaker 2: I've flown Spirit so many times, despite all of its
- 31:49Speaker 2: issues and troubles and stereotypes that are somewhat earned a lot. Yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 2: it's the best airline when it comes to getting us
- 31:57Speaker 2: to the islands because we've had she was on American.
- 32:00Speaker 2: We've had issues on every major airline. We've had some
- 32:02Speaker 2: issues on Spirit, but not as many as others. So
- 32:04Speaker 2: that's why we fly Spirit anywhere else in the country.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Oh no, not unless we're just absolutely desperate. But I've
- 32:11Speaker 2: wondered something similar about the flight attendants on Spirit, which
- 32:15Speaker 2: is is this your starter airline when you first get
- 32:19Speaker 2: into the flight attendant game, is this a good starter airline?
- 32:23Speaker 2: Or like you said, raj or, is this your last shot?
- 32:27Speaker 1: Well? Ryan young kid too, he's retired. He had his
- 32:34Speaker 1: own theater in New York like that. He did some
- 32:36Speaker 1: off Broadway plays, but I think he sold it. I
- 32:39Speaker 1: think he owned the building, so he's retired. He uses
- 32:41Speaker 1: it for the flight privileges, gotcha, So I understand that.
- 32:45Speaker 1: And then the lady that was on the second flight
- 32:48Speaker 1: who brought me my diet coke again even though she
- 32:51Speaker 1: didn't bring it the first time. Yeah, I think she
- 32:53Speaker 1: was on her way out. She looked like she was
- 32:55Speaker 1: in her sixties.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Okay, that makes sense, and that would also make sense
- 32:58Speaker 2: as to why you didn't get the first Dike.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Or maybe it's the Southwest Airlines people that can't hold
- 33:03Speaker 3: their liquor.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Just she knocked out a spirit flight attendant, changed clothes
- 33:12Speaker 2: and snuck onto that one. This does bring up an
- 33:17Speaker 2: interesting question. I started to ask it earlier, and now
- 33:19Speaker 2: I've got a second part of it. You guys want
- 33:20Speaker 2: to do a quick on the fly verses? Sure, it's
- 33:27Speaker 2: an impromptu versus inside the treehouse? Are contestants today recently
- 33:32Speaker 2: air traveled at Raj Sharma and most recently grounded? Trey Trentholm,
- 33:36Speaker 2: Welcome to the show.
- 33:37Speaker 1: A gentleman happy to be here.
- 33:41Speaker 2: On a flight. Would you rather be stuck next to
- 33:45Speaker 2: the old man who can't remember anything and tells you
- 33:48Speaker 2: the same story fifteen times throughout the duration of the flight,
- 33:55Speaker 2: living a real life version of the Notebook in which
- 33:58Speaker 2: you cannot escape because you're on a plane, or the
- 34:02Speaker 2: other very common thing to happen on flights that we've
- 34:06Speaker 2: seen recently. Or would you rather be seated next to
- 34:10Speaker 2: the person on the plane with the diarrhea. I'll give
- 34:13Speaker 2: you a moment to consider your answer with this impromptu
- 34:17Speaker 2: versus inside the treehouse? Would you rather be seated next
- 34:20Speaker 2: to the old man who can't remember anything and tells
- 34:22Speaker 2: you the same story fifteen times? Or would you rather
- 34:25Speaker 2: be seated next to the person on the flight with
- 34:27Speaker 2: the diarrhea. RAJ will start with you, since you experienced
- 34:31Speaker 2: this most recently.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I will sit next to Larry. I'm just glad he
- 34:34Speaker 1: didn't have dementia and diarrhea.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Oooh, that would be that would be a real tragedy
- 34:39Speaker 2: and you would have made the news. Trey.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Let's say you yeah, I'll have to go with dementia.
- 34:47Speaker 3: I do not want to get crapped on.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Spirit? Does that enough?
- 34:55Speaker 2: I still think there might be a little box further
- 34:58Speaker 2: down the list of things of add ons. It's kind
- 35:02Speaker 2: of like a spa. It's like like the Emirates Airlines
- 35:08Speaker 2: has the bar, the shower, the DJ Spirit has the
- 35:12Speaker 2: will poop on you selections.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Some people might be into that. I don't know. Uh,
- 35:18Speaker 1: that's that would be air diddy.
- 35:20Speaker 10: Uh.

- 35:56Speaker 2: is brought to you by Brooks Plumbing for any and
- 35:58Speaker 2: all of your plumbing once and needs. Called Jacqueline at two, one, four,
- 36:02Speaker 2: three six, eight thirty eight thirty eight. That's two one
- 36:05Speaker 2: four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight for Brooks
- 36:08Speaker 2: Plumbing and also of purse. You can give the website
- 36:11Speaker 2: Brooks Plumbingtexas dot com very timely story even though we're
- 36:16Speaker 2: a couple of days late. And that is the second
- 36:20Speaker 2: assassination attempt allegedly on former President Trump. So let's dive
- 36:26Speaker 2: deep into this briefly. The suspect in the second assassination
- 36:38Speaker 2: attempt former President Donald Trump by Ryan Routh. He has
- 36:43Speaker 2: a lengthy arrest record in Guildford County, North Carolina. It
- 36:47Speaker 2: includes from the eighties into twenty ten charges from writing
- 36:53Speaker 2: multiple bad checks to felony firearm possession, possession of a
- 36:56Speaker 2: stolen vehicle, and multiple counts of possession of a web
- 37:00Speaker 2: of mass destruction in two thousand and two, specifically a
- 37:03Speaker 2: minary explosive with a ten inch detonation court in a
- 37:05Speaker 2: blasting cat think something that Trey and I would recognize
- 37:08Speaker 2: as a good old fashioned.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Pipe bom.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Now, in situations like this, what do they do? They
- 37:16Speaker 2: always go and talk to the neighbors to see if
- 37:19Speaker 2: they suspected or knew anything, And in this case, the
- 37:23Speaker 2: neighbor of the second Trump assassination attempt had a little
- 37:30Speaker 2: more colorful way to describe Ryan Ralph.
- 37:36Speaker 10: I think I seen they had a horse in the
- 37:38Speaker 10: house from you know, old a horse in now split
- 37:41Speaker 10: back said the guns and stuff.
- 37:42Speaker 2: And sho all catch that.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I hope I heard it right. But he had a
- 37:49Speaker 1: horse in his house. Yes.
- 37:51Speaker 2: The neighbor, who said she known Ralph for about eighteen
- 37:54Speaker 2: years before he moved to Hawaii and left his Greensboro
- 37:57Speaker 2: home empty at least a year ago, described the family
- 38:00Speaker 2: as weird and also said that they kept a whole
- 38:04Speaker 2: live horse in the house.
- 38:11Speaker 1: I don't like there was just a horse in the house.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he was just a you know, mister
- 38:17Speaker 2: ed superfan.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I know Schwarzenegger has like a Shutland pony.
- 38:21Speaker 2: I think, no, he's got donkeys.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Oh he's got donkeys. Okay, Yeah, so I didn't.
- 38:27Speaker 2: I don't know if this was the same thing, same
- 38:31Speaker 2: but different. The neighbor, her name is Kim Mungo, and
- 38:34Speaker 2: again this is her describing what the suspect house was
- 38:36Speaker 2: like to live next to.
- 38:39Speaker 10: Think I seen they had a horse in the house.
- 38:40Speaker 10: I mean an old, live horse in the house. But
- 38:43Speaker 10: back said, the guns and stuff, and all I meant
- 38:45Speaker 10: with youill they were, Oh, I mean kind of weird
- 38:49Speaker 10: in the house where the living room is at with
- 38:51Speaker 10: hay'all in here and the big.
- 38:53Speaker 5: Old live horse.
- 38:56Speaker 10: Yeah, I told all my friends because they didn't really
- 38:58Speaker 10: that's a picture of the horse and house.
- 39:00Speaker 2: She also went on to say, but they didn't bother me,
- 39:03Speaker 2: and I didn't bother them. And would you really if
- 39:07Speaker 2: you're the neighbor of someone that not only keeps a
- 39:09Speaker 2: live horse in the house, but the horse is surrounded
- 39:12Speaker 2: by numerous guns and ammo.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I'm staying far away from that one.
- 39:20Speaker 1: It's just when white can't get whiter.
- 39:25Speaker 2: I don't know the race of any of the individuals involved.
- 39:28Speaker 2: I would like to point out though, that it is
- 39:32Speaker 2: dangerous to be around an animal, any wild animal, whether
- 39:36Speaker 2: it's been kept in the house or not. But it
- 39:37Speaker 2: sounds like it had been on its own for a while,
- 39:39Speaker 2: so who knows what sort of state it was in.
- 39:43Speaker 2: But especially with a horse being kept in the house
- 39:47Speaker 2: around guns and ammo, they can't be trusted with firearms,
- 39:52Speaker 2: not only because they're animals, but because it's really hard
- 39:54Speaker 2: to get the hoof into the tricks. I mean, you're
- 39:57Speaker 2: not gonna have any good trigger discipline whatsoever.
- 40:02Speaker 1: That's a new business that we can start gun ranges
- 40:04Speaker 1: for horses. I like it.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Yeehah, gun range cold. Can you imagine walking into the
- 40:15Speaker 2: gun range and it's actually like a recreation of the
- 40:17Speaker 2: mister ed set, but just surrounded by guns.
- 40:20Speaker 1: I think that's the house that he was in.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Oh, Wilburg. Instead of a Kimber forty five, it's a
- 40:29Speaker 2: Wilbur thirty eight. The thing is, though she lived next
- 40:36Speaker 2: to this, she lived next to these people for eighteen years,
- 40:40Speaker 2: all sorts of guns and ammo, breaking the law keeping
- 40:43Speaker 2: a live horse in the house. But you know why
- 40:45Speaker 2: that the police were never called Florida.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yes, that's just the horse came with the house.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that was probably just a price of admission to
- 40:58Speaker 2: get into the hay. Oh that's the wrong button.
- 41:04Speaker 5: There we go.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Yeah, each of ways are just different in Florida. Thanks
- 41:09Speaker 2: for having out with us inside the treehouse today. We
- 41:11Speaker 2: will see you back in here tomorrow for Friday.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Do there
