- 0:52Well, hello, ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:54My name is Brett Keen and you were watching and listening to
- 0:56the Brett Keen show. I hope you're all having a
- 0:59blessed day out there. As many of you have probably
- 1:03heard, I besides having a super popular international radio
- 1:09station where my freedom of speech is not affected in any
- 1:14kind of way, and I'm absolutely off the rails of the crazy train
- 1:19on my radio. Apparently YouTube, for whatever
- 1:23strange reason, decided to finally, after all the years of
- 1:27me being on YouTube, decided to make me a YouTube partner.
- 1:33I know, right? I'm absolutely stunned and
- 1:35shocked. My family are extremely proud of
- 1:38me for accomplishing this because, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:43not to toot my own horn, but usually whenever I set out to do
- 1:47things, I accomplish everything that I I mean to do.
- 1:52I remember some of the major accomplishments I've done in my
- 1:56life. And one of them was I wanted to
- 1:58find a beautiful woman. I wanted to make her my wife.
- 2:02And then I wanted to have a son and a daughter that were polite,
- 2:07sweet, awesome, big hearts like that of a lion and a productive
- 2:12family. A good family, a supportive
- 2:15family. I accomplished that at one point
- 2:20in time in my life. I wanted to be a musician and I
- 2:24wanted to simply succeed at putting out some CD's and
- 2:27actually writing my own music. And my brother Justin Keen and
- 2:32myself, we accomplished that. We didn't become super famous
- 2:36rock stars, we didn't become the next Led Zeppelin or anything
- 2:40like that, but I was still able to produce albums.
- 2:44Then I said to myself, Brett, what can we do now that where we
- 2:49can accomplish taking over the world?
- 2:52I decided let's write some books.
- 2:55I wrote some books. I wrote up to six books.
- 2:58Two of them I unpublished though, because they had to do
- 3:01with atheism. And I'm no longer an atheist
- 3:04anymore, so I'm not going to sell an atheist product that
- 3:08basically goes against God while being a believer in God.
- 3:13It just simply wouldn't make rational, logical sense, right?
- 3:17So that's where I'm at whenever it comes to that.
- 3:22I told myself whenever I was young that I was going to own my
- 3:25own home, that I was going to own at least two vehicles, that
- 3:30my family would be taken care of.
- 3:32All of this has been accomplished.
- 3:34And as I've gotten older, one of the last things, one of the last
- 3:39few things that I wanted on my bucket list, I guess is what you
- 3:42can call it, is I wanted to become a YouTube partner.
- 3:46I hate YouTube. I think that how they do people
- 3:50is absolutely wrong and ignorant.
- 3:53But the problem is, is I put too much of my life and too much of
- 3:57my time into this. It's not so much about at this
- 4:01point. Let me make this straight to
- 4:03folks. I simply wanted to see myself
- 4:07accomplish it. I don't know how long it'll
- 4:11last, and that really doesn't matter.
- 4:14What matters is that you have something, whether it's for a
- 4:18moment or for a lifetime. For me, just the fact that I was
- 4:23able to see my name on there, get the e-mail, get the pop up
- 4:27that says you're sexy, Brad Keane and you were worthy to be
- 4:30a part of this. That was all I needed.
- 4:33If my YouTube channel goes down a week from now, I don't give a
- 4:37damn. It doesn't matter.
- 4:39Channels I didn't put on my accomplished list how long a
- 4:44channel will last, right? I put on my accomplished list
- 4:48that I wanted that YouTube partnership and I managed to get
- 4:51it. However, although I'm happy and
- 4:53my family and friends are happy and proud of me, I'm also
- 4:58saddened. And I know some people feel like
- 5:01how can you be saddened by Keen? It sounds like you've made
- 5:03everything in your life come true.
- 5:06I'm sad because there's a lot of my friends out there as well as
- 5:11a couple family members that deserve to have YouTube
- 5:15partnership that they've been working very hard, they put a
- 5:19lot of time in and they keep getting rejected for some reason
- 5:24over and over and over. And I don't get it.
- 5:29And I'll give you a couple examples.
- 5:31I was talking to Steven Boland, recently, also known as Proverbs
- 5:35Guy, and he said that he has tried for the longest time to be
- 5:40accepted. And I don't get it, because I'm
- 5:43considered this rude, tasteless Jackass that people find
- 5:49deplorable sometimes. Because some of the language
- 5:52that I use in my videos and the way I express myself, I
- 5:57personally don't think that way about myself.
- 5:59That's not my perspective. But other people do, right?
- 6:05And I suspect that's one of the reasons I've had some of the
- 6:07issues that I've had, because I don't know what it is that the
- 6:11haters are even talking about. I'm a sexy son of a bitch.
- 6:15But Steven is a very well educated Christian who talks
- 6:22about the Bible and he interviews other Christians.
- 6:25Now, he has interviewed some Christians out there who've got
- 6:29some history and have had some failings or flaws in their
- 6:33existence. And I would hate to think that
- 6:36the reason why he's not getting his YouTube partnership is
- 6:40because of some of the people that he's tried to help or
- 6:42interview or talk to. Because that would be sad.
- 6:48Wouldn't it be sad to find out that you've done everything
- 6:52right in your life, but because you try to do something good for
- 6:55other people because of your association with them, you get
- 7:00screwed. That's totally unfair.
- 7:03That's totally sucks. But that's that might be why it
- 7:08is that Mister Stephen Boland hasn't gotten it.
- 7:11Then there's TTOR. He hasn't been rejected by
- 7:15YouTube partnership, but for some oddball reason, whenever he
- 7:19uses other video sites, he seems to do really well.
- 7:23But on YouTube it's been a slow crawl for him.
- 7:27And it's sad because it's getting to the point where he's
- 7:30just starting to do other things and he's getting away from
- 7:35YouTube. He doesn't do as many videos
- 7:37anymore and he's like 100 something subscribers away from
- 7:43the ability to even sign up for it.
- 7:46And I find that sad because he put so much work and so much
- 7:50time into his videos and yet he's not there.
- 7:56My brother, Justin Keen, because he hasn't gotten partnered, he
- 8:01isn't able to make the kind of money that he wish that he could
- 8:04make for his two daughters as well as wife.
- 8:08He's wanted to do that. He's wanted to continue on the
- 8:12music part of the King family, and YouTube hasn't been very
- 8:16beneficial for him. It hasn't given him any
- 8:19opportunities or advantages, except for the occasional while.
- 8:24You rock at the guitar and all that.
- 8:26That's terrific folks. But my brother's actually trying
- 8:30to make this a career where there's money involved, right?
- 8:38And there's nothing wrong with that.
- 8:40Being in the music business is very difficult.
- 8:43That's it's a hard, hard road. And musicians deserve to make
- 8:48money off of their work, including artists and writers
- 8:51and all that kind of stuff. Well, in case you guys don't
- 8:56know, I haven't been very interested in Patreon.
- 9:01I did get a couple people who decided to support me on
- 9:05Patreon, but I don't really like Patreon at all.
- 9:10I don't like any, I don't like sending people to external sites
- 9:14in order to support me. But the good news is now people
- 9:20don't have to go do all that. They could still use Cash app
- 9:24and my PayPal if they want to support me.
- 9:26But now you can simply support me by going to the front of my
- 9:30YouTube channel and looking in my store section and you'll see
- 9:34all my products now through my YouTube.
- 9:37It's actually connected now my store.
- 9:40Or you can simply sign up to be a member by clicking the join
- 9:44button under every video I do or right on my front page.
- 9:48Now what happens if you join and you become a member?
- 9:52Well, so far I got it set up to where when I do live shows, if
- 9:57you're a member, you're able to see the link and you can
- 10:01actually come into my live shows without any kind of problems
- 10:06whatsoever. You'll see the link.
- 10:07I'm not going to put it out in the public anymore.
- 10:10I've had too many people come in and either harass me or harass
- 10:15some of the other users. Some of my friends don't want to
- 10:17come in the room anymore because they got trolled.
- 10:21And sometimes I walk away from the show to go use the restroom
- 10:26or make me a damn burrito or eat a Twinkie and I can't babysit
- 10:30for the entire time. I get tired.
- 10:33I'm an old man. I'm not one of these young
- 10:35teenagers who make a podcast where they should talk all day.
- 10:39We actually try to do what we call substance over here and
- 10:44unfortunately a couple people did get in and they harassed and
- 10:48aggravated people and called names and it made people mad.
- 10:52I got some emails from some friends saying Brett, I thought
- 10:56you loved me bro. I thought we were aren't good,
- 11:00but then you allow some ass whore to come into the room and
- 11:04start trash talking me. My apologies, that will no
- 11:08longer happen. Only members and supporters will
- 11:12be able to see the public link anymore.
- 11:15Unless you're a good friend of mine or family then you get in
- 11:19absolutely free. But it's practically like
- 11:21members get in free anyway because it's only like what
- 11:24$2.00 to become a member. Unless you sign up for like one
- 11:30of the higher ranks, then you get more perks.
- 11:33But that's a bit of a paradox and dilemma for me, ladies and
- 11:37gentlemen, because I don't know what to give you guys as perks.
- 11:42It's one thing when you know people in real life and you can
- 11:45give them a shirt or you can give them like something nice or
- 11:49whatever, buy somebody a car or whatever.
- 11:51But what do you give people through the Internet?
- 11:55I don't know. I'm hoping that you guys could
- 11:57give me some advice and suggestions.
- 12:01What do you think would be cool? What do you think people would
- 12:04want from me besides me running my big mouth on video?
- 12:08I'm not exactly sure on that. I never worked with like a perk
- 12:13system or a reward system or something like that with people
- 12:18I don't know. Would people want art that's I
- 12:21already have all that through my store?
- 12:23I'm not really sure. Who knows, maybe you guys can
- 12:27give me some really good suggestions, some advice, and
- 12:29that'll help out. So that's how people will be
- 12:32able to get into the rooms. Of course people will be able to
- 12:35watch my shows and all that. You become a member.
- 12:40Everything that you type in the member section will be seen by
- 12:43you, myself, and other members. So that's pretty cool.
- 12:49Let's see what else is there. Oh yeah.
- 12:52One of the other cool things that they gave me as a YouTube
- 12:55partner is now whenever I'm doing a show, people are able to
- 13:00super chat me, which apparently they're able to click this
- 13:03button down below right where they're about to type something
- 13:06and they can like put goofy stuff on my screen while I'm
- 13:10doing a live show. Like they can say Brett, you
- 13:13look like a moose and you smell like a Beaver.
- 13:16And you know, as long as they donate a couple bucks, they're
- 13:20below pop up ago on my screen no matter what I'm doing.
- 13:23And I've been trying to consider a different format on my
- 13:27channel. I've been thinking about instead
- 13:31of doing like solo videos, why don't I just do live streams?
- 13:35Every time I'm in the mood to do a video, I talk about my topic
- 13:40and after I get done yapping for about 10 minutes or whatever, I
- 13:44let people come up. Then they can either talk about
- 13:48whatever word is I'm discussing or just talked about, or we can
- 13:52just open it to chat and people can start going on and we can
- 13:56let that last for about two hours, maybe more depending on
- 14:00how exciting the show is at the time.
- 14:03So yeah, what do you guys think about that?
- 14:06Instead of me doing like solo videos, I actually do videos
- 14:10where I'm live and you guys can respond to me while I'm actually
- 14:14talking and going on. And on top of that, if you're a
- 14:18member, you can actually join the actual video while it's
- 14:22being made and I'm talking and add your own two cents in on it.
- 14:27Do you think that's neat, or do you like the solo videos, what
- 14:31your thoughts are now? Perhaps I'll put a survey or a
- 14:34poll up and see what people think about that business.
- 14:38Let's see, what else? Well, I heard some all this is
- 14:48great news and good news and all that kind of stuff, but
- 14:52unfortunately there has been some sad news that I heard just
- 14:56recently. Mr. Wyatt, a WWE wrestler,
- 15:02recently passed away. Apparently he had that that
- 15:06medical issue that you're not allowed to talk about on YouTube
- 15:11and apparently it puts so much stress on his body, ended up
- 15:14having a heart attack. At least that's what I have been
- 15:18reading. I don't know if that's the
- 15:20actual case. Sometimes whenever it comes to
- 15:23celebrities, they'll tell you one thing and then it it's much
- 15:27later when you find out what actually happened.
- 15:30Now they still ain't figured out how JFK got taken out.
- 15:33So if that doesn't tell you anything, I don't know what
- 15:36will. So that's where we're at on
- 15:41that. I'm.
- 15:42I'm sad because this was a really good, very creative,
- 15:47charismatic person and he was only like he was between 34 and
- 15:5336 years old. And here I am, I'm in a few
- 15:58years, I'm going to end up being almost 50 years old and I'm
- 16:01like, my goodness of an athlete can go down like that.
- 16:06Then my goodness, what's my chances in this world?
- 16:09Anytime somebody dies or passes away, it really makes you
- 16:13question your mortality, right? Okay to get off of that topic,
- 16:20which is sad. And I hope that people show,
- 16:23give prayers to the family and all that kind of stuff.
- 16:29Tonight at between 7:00 and 9:00 PM, there's going to be a video
- 16:35that's going to play where you guys will be able to see an
- 16:38interview between me and my friends talking to a guy called
- 16:43Ellie Yoder, who was once an Amish guy who escaped the Amish
- 16:48and then went on to becoming a very popular YouTuber.
- 16:53A very nice guy, very cool. He was very respectful, very
- 16:58godly, very knowledgeable of the Bible.
- 17:01He was raised up in a very unusual way and his life is very
- 17:06interesting. So check out that interview
- 17:08tonight. As I said, Proverbs Guy will be
- 17:12on there as well as other people, and you'll see several
- 17:15people asking this fellow questions.
- 17:19He graced us with his presence Friday 7:00 PM.
- 17:25Well, not Friday. It's going to be Saturday, 7:00
- 17:28PM. I'm going to be doing a show
- 17:31where I'm going to be bringing in a new host called Mr. Captain
- 17:35Stump, Captain Stump. And he's going to be talking
- 17:39about a whole bunch of biblical stuff, and we're going to see
- 17:41how that goes. I'm really searching for some
- 17:48very talented cohost. I want to find people that are
- 17:52good at talking, have a lot of ideas going through their head,
- 17:56or at least know how to research to find topics that they could
- 17:59talk about because it is tough running a podcast all by
- 18:04yourself. I mean, any old clown can just
- 18:07sit up there and Babble on incoherently, but I'd like some
- 18:11actual format, the little bit of organization.
- 18:15I'd like for the topics to actually be fascinating.
- 18:19I've seen too many podcasts out there where they get boring,
- 18:23they get dull, they start talking about a bunch of crap
- 18:26that nobody cares about, and we don't want to find herself in
- 18:31that position. So if you guys got some ideas or
- 18:37you know, some people who would like to majorly cohost with me,
- 18:41I will start doing more and more shows.
- 18:44But I can't do a whole bunch of them if I am all by myself,
- 18:49right? Even though some of you out
- 18:52there find me absolutely captivating, I know my
- 18:57limitations. Yeah.
- 19:00All right. So that's all I got to say,
- 19:03ladies and gentlemen. If I have anything new to talk
- 19:07about it, I'll put it on my community page and make sure you
- 19:11guys come to the show on Saturday.
- 19:14And yeah. Oh yeah.
