• 1:30
Speaker 1: What a beautiful statement this is from Jesus.
• 1:31
Speaker 1: Come to me, he says.
• 1:32
Speaker 1: He doesn't say go to the hills.
• 1:38
Speaker 1: He doesn't say sit under a tree to attain nirvana.
• 1:46
Speaker 1: Jesus doesn't send you or me to a mountain top somewhere.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: He doesn't say go to a quiet place.
• 1:59
Speaker 1: Jesus does not even direct you to anyone else, but instead Jesus says come to me.
• 2:20
Speaker 1: And who is Jesus talking to?
• 2:21
Speaker 1: He is talking to the weary and the heavy laden, the ones who are extremely tired or exerted, the ones who are carrying a burden.
• 2:39
Speaker 1: Might be any kind of burden, some sort of a weight on your back, maybe something that's oppressing you, a chip on your shoulder based on something that somebody said to you or maybe said about you, maybe even a huge emotional weight that you are carrying, maybe a financial burden, maybe a health issue that's weighing you down.
• 3:16
Speaker 1: It could be anything.
• 3:19
Speaker 1: But Jesus encompasses all of these and he says Come to me, those who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
• 3:33
Speaker 1: Jesus Will give you rest.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: Your creator will give you rest.

• 3:47
Speaker 1: He is the one who loves you and he will give you rest.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: And I want to tell you today, like David says in one of the most beautiful Psalms in the Bible, psalm 23, the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want.
• 4:02
Speaker 1: He makes me lie down in green pastures, and most of you will know this by heart.
• 4:07
Speaker 1: I'm sure he leads me besides quiet waters.
• 4:10
Speaker 1: He restores my soul.
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: Amen, hallelujah, hallelujah.
• 4:15
Speaker 1: The Lord is my shepherd, the good shepherd, the shepherd that lays down his life for his sheep.
• 4:41
Speaker 1: Jesus and you shall never be in want when Jesus is your shepherd.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: Of course, life will have its ups and downs, but I want to tell you here this morning, through the word of God, that when you make Jesus your shepherd, you will not be in want and know it like David knew it when he wrote it and he was just a shepherd himself and he was just a boy and he was not the king of Israel at the time, but he knew it and you should know it this morning, that you shall never be in want when Jesus is your shepherd.
• 5:27
Speaker 1: Green pastures, I want to tell you, for sheep it's a place of food, it's a place to sit down and rest.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: For sheep it's the best thing that they can ever get.
• 5:38
Speaker 1: Green pastures, green pastures.
• 5:46
Speaker 1: And I'm here to tell you today that Jesus will give you the best he will make you.
• 5:52
Speaker 1: Jesus will make you lie down in a place where he is taking care of you and what is quiet waters, a place of calm, a place of peace.
• 6:11
Speaker 1: Jesus will make you lie down in a place of peace where the best of everything is given to you.
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: Hallelujah, hallelujah.
• 6:27
Speaker 1: Come to me those who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
• 6:35
Speaker 1: And I'm going back to the book of Matthew, where Jesus made the statement.
• 6:40
Speaker 1: That's Matthew, the 11th chapter, and from the 29th verse onwards, listen to what he has to say.
• 6:45
Speaker 1: He says take my yoke upon you.
• 6:48
Speaker 1: Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
• 7:02
Speaker 1: Hallelujah, I'm reading it again Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
• 7:17
Speaker 1: He's talking to someone this morning.
• 7:27
Speaker 1: He's talking to someone today Shed your problems of the world.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: I know it's easier said than done, but mark down Matthew 11, 29 and 30 and go and read it and meditate on it and turn to him and he will ease your earthly burden.
• 8:00
Speaker 1: I'll tell you what a yoke is.
• 8:01
Speaker 1: It's a wooden cross piece that is attached to a plow, or could be even a carriage, and that is put over the neck of an animal or the necks of animals.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: So mostly you will see two animals in a pair and the yoke is put around their neck and the weight is behind them and they pull the weight or they will pull the plow.
• 8:39
Speaker 1: And that's what a yoke is and that's how they used to plough fields in older days.
• 8:48
Speaker 1: Take two animals, put a yoke on them and plough the field just before you sow.
• 9:01
Speaker 1: And aligned to the scripture, which means the worries that you carry with you, that weigh you down, the worries that you carry with you that slow you down, the worries that you carry with you that even restrict the things you are doing maybe.
• 9:18
Speaker 1: And Jesus today is telling you to shed that burden and take his yoke upon you and learn from your father this day.
• 9:32
Speaker 1: Learn from the good shepherd, the one who laid down his life for you and me.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: Take his yoke upon you, I told you.
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: Mark down Matthew 11, 29 and 30.
• 9:51
Speaker 1: Where Jesus says take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in the heart and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
• 10:13
Speaker 1: Oh, jesus' yoke is easy and light.
• 10:15
Speaker 1: It's easy upon you.
• 10:16
Speaker 1: Leave your troubles of the world aside and just turn to Jesus this morning, whatever it might be big or small, I told you it's easier said than done, but it won't change until you make a decision to do so.
• 10:28
Speaker 1: And just turn to him and ask him for his yoke this morning.
• 10:35
Speaker 1: Just say, jesus, take away my yoke, give me your yoke and you will see.
• 10:41
Speaker 1: You will see and experience the change, hallelujah.
