Kathie: Hey friends, it's Kathie Owen, and today we are going on a journey, a deeply personal one that ties together scripture, imagination, faith, and a hymn that has been echoing in my spirit.
• 0:15
Kathie: "But I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able," that line has been playing in my head every time I reflect on Neville Goddard's concept of self persuasion, and I hear my coaches talk about self persuasion and how Neville talks about it, and this hymn.
• 0:36
Kathie: It has been ringing in my mind every time I hear that and I couldn't figure it out.
• 0:42
Kathie: But today we're gonna talk about this, and this is a reminder that we all need today more than ever.
• 0:50
Kathie: So let's start with Neville because his teachings have been a guiding light through one of my most transformative seasons of my life.
• 0:59
Kathie: Neville Goddard was a mystic, a teacher, and a pioneer in the world of manifestation.
• 1:06
Kathie: His core message, imagination creates reality that your inner world is not just influential, it's.
• 1:15
Kathie: The only creative power and one of my mentors, one of my coaches, Cintia, of manifesting myself, has talked about this so much.
• 1:26
Kathie: She is a avid student of Neville Goddard, and her coaching reflects that highly, and I highly recommend following her on Instagram.
• 1:36
Kathie: I will have a link to that in the show notes and description below.
• 1:41
Kathie: But the concept of self persuasion, Neville showed us how to change our lives by changing our inner assumptions, not through force, not through hustle, but through inner conviction, through believing that what you've imagined is already real.
• 1:58
Kathie: That message hit me hard, especially as I began to unravel the grip that old systems, workplaces, and relationships had on me.
• 2:08
Kathie: I had to find something more heart-centered, something deeper than our titles or appearances, or a time clock.
• 2:18
Kathie: And in the process I started to remember who I was, I mean, who I am.
• 2:25
Kathie: So the verse that inspired the hymn that this entire episode is from two Timothy one 12, and I'm gonna read it for you here right now.
• 2:36
Kathie: For the which cause I also suffer these things.
• 2:41
Kathie: Nevertheless, I am not ashamed for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
• 2:55
Kathie: And this verse is rich with meaning, especially if you read it through Neville's lens.
• 3:02
Kathie: Paul says in this scripture, I know whom I have believed, not what, not how, and not when, but whom, the presence he had come to trust and the phrase, the good deposit.
• 3:20
Kathie: What we commit to that presence is our desire, our dream, our vision.
• 3:26
Kathie: Neville would say that you commit to, your imagination will not return void.
• 3:33
Kathie: It is kept, it is unfolding, and it is all already real.
• 3:40
Kathie: So Neville Goddard's insights on self persuasion are, he taught us that imagination is the only power, not circumstance.
• 3:50
Kathie: I say that all the time.
• 3:52
Kathie: In fact, when I would sign my book, I said, let us remember we are not our circumstances.
• 3:59
Kathie: And also this also makes me feel good because it's not.
• 4:03
Kathie: Logic either, and it's not other people's opinions.
• 4:07
Kathie: Your reality flows from what you've inwardly accepted as true and self persuasion is key.
• 4:16
  Kathie: I.
• 4:17
Kathie: You persist in imagining even when the world contradicts it, you let the revision be more real than your fear, and this is what I have been practicing.
• 4:28
Kathie: As many of you know, I walked away from a job where I was silenced.
• 4:33
  Kathie: And actually overlooked.
• 4:35
Kathie: I stood up for myself in ways that shook me to my core and I've been navigating change financial unknowns and redefining my identity.
• 4:46
Kathie: And I keep saying, I don't know how this will all unfold, but I know who I have believed.
• 4:55
Kathie: I know the God within me.
• 4:57
Kathie: I know the voice of my intuition, and I know the power of my imagination.
• 5:03
Kathie: So let's talk about how you can practice this in your own life.
• 5:08
  Kathie: Starting today.
• 5:09
  Kathie: Identify your limiting beliefs.
• 5:11
Kathie: What have you been telling yourself that no longer serves you?
• 5:15
Kathie: Rewrite those stories as empowering affirmations.
• 5:20
Kathie: Speak to yourself like someone you deeply believe in.
• 5:24
Kathie: And then number two, visualize your desired future.
• 5:28
Kathie: Not vaguely, but very vividly.
• 5:32
Kathie: And every single day, feel it real.
• 5:37
Kathie: As Neville says, don't wait for evidence, but be the evidence.
• 5:44
Kathie: And then number three, trust the process.
• 5:47
Kathie: And this is probably the hardest part sometimes.
• 5:51
Kathie: But like Paul and like Neville and like me in this season, be persuaded.
• 5:58
  Kathie: Let go of resistance.
• 6:00
  Kathie: Let go of urgency.
• 6:01
Kathie: Know that what you've committed to the unseen is already in motion.
• 6:09
Kathie: When you trust in the unseen, when you persuade yourself daily with faith, you begin to live differently.
• 6:17
Kathie: And I can testify to this.
• 6:19
Kathie: My whole world looks different and sometimes it changes just like in minutes.
• 6:26
  Kathie: It looks completely different.
• 6:30
Kathie: I can't explain it, but you no longer chase outcomes.
• 6:34
Kathie: When you live like this, you become the version of yourself who already has them.
• 6:40
Kathie: You begin to live from purpose, not pressure from love, not fear, and you begin to recognize that your inner world is always speaking to you, sometimes even through music, dreams or old memories.
• 6:57
Kathie: Like that hymn, or actually even like I discuss in one of my videos here recently about a TV show that I've been watching called Ted Lasso and how the characters in that are speaking to me and telling me things about my vision.
• 7:15
  Kathie: It is so.
• 7:17
  Kathie: Cool and so synchronistic.
• 7:20
Kathie: But the hymn is called,"I know whom I have Believed," and that line has followed me like a thread back to my roots.
• 7:30
Kathie: I grew up in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and my fraternal grandfather had a PhD in theology and he got his master's in theology from TCU and his PhD from SMU and eventually became the president of the Memphis Theological Seminary back when I was a kid.
• 7:52
Kathie: And the memories I have of him are phenomenal as well as my memories from the church and the things that I learned.
• 8:01
Kathie: But both of my boys actually went to TCU and their father actually loved the presitige because it was a private expensive school.
• 8:11
Kathie: But me, I was always looking for something deeper.
• 8:14
Kathie: It's just in me and it.
• 8:17
Kathie: I didn't want just a title or just a degree.
• 8:20
Kathie: I wanted something heart-centered, and it comes from my soul.
• 8:24
Kathie: It's soul driven and it's real.
• 8:27
Kathie: And I'll tell you something magical.
• 8:30
Kathie: My grandfather still shows up in my dreams.
• 8:32
  Kathie: He teaches me things.
• 8:34
Kathie: He reminds me not to be afraid.
• 8:37
Kathie: And he does it with the same gentle humor he always had.
• 8:41
Kathie: And the reason I'm sharing this today is because you may be feeling lost, unsure, or stuck in a place where the future looks foggy.
• 8:51
Kathie: I've been there, and just remember, you don't need all the answers right now.
• 8:57
Kathie: You just need to know whom you've believed the power within you.
• 9:04
Kathie: That power is within you and the spark of the divine.
• 9:10
Kathie: That vision that came to you for a reason.
• 9:14
Kathie: So I had to call my parents the other day just to remember the name of that hymn.
• 9:18
  Kathie: I couldn't remember it.
• 9:20
Kathie: And every time I'd hear self persuasion on Neville Goddard from my coaches, or just when I was studying Neville Goddard content, I was like, that reminds me of that hymn.
• 9:32
Kathie: And I wanted to know where it came from, and.
• 9:36
Kathie: I tried asking ai, but I didn't ask Chad GPT because Chad, GPT would've known who it was.
• 9:42
Kathie: But my parents, I called them and they did, and they remembered it with me.
• 9:48
Kathie: And when I read the lyrics and I listened to the song, it was like, God whispered, this is who you've always been.
• 9:56
Kathie: Kathie, you have always believed even when you didn't understand.
• 10:01
Kathie: And now it's time to live from that belief.
• 10:05
Kathie: So my friend, what have you committed to your imagination?
• 10:09
Kathie: What dreams are you ready to trust again?
• 10:13
Kathie: Be persuaded, be bold, and know that it's already being kept.
• 10:20
Kathie: Part of the song says, I know not how the spirit moves.
• 10:25
Kathie: Convincing men of sin revealing Jesus through the word, creating faith in him, but I know whom.
• 10:33
Kathie: I have believed and am persuaded.
• 10:38
  Kathie: All right.
• 10:39
Kathie: I invite you to do your own research on that hymn, because it is phenomenal and the story behind it is awesome as well.
• 10:48
Kathie: And it's an old, old hymn.
• 10:50
Kathie: And if you grew up in a church like I did and you, this song brings back memories.
• 10:56
  Kathie: Ah, it's so awesome.
• 10:57
  Kathie: Right.
• 10:58
  Kathie: All right.
• 10:59
Kathie: Thanks for being here today.
• 11:00
Kathie: If this message stirred something in you, please share it and let it be the nudge someone else needs to keep going because we're not just here to survive.
• 11:11
Kathie: We're here to create, to trust and to live in alignment with the vision that's calling us forward.
• 11:19
  Kathie: All right.
• 11:20
Kathie: I will talk to you soon, friends, and until next time, I'll see you next time.
• 11:25
  Kathie: Peace out and Namaste.
