  Speaker 3: replace it with an all-conference SEC edge rusher in Damon Wilson.

  Speaker 3: So it's just, they're loaded right now. I mean, it

  Speaker 3: is a machine, what Miami is doing. The guys that

  Speaker 3: they have not only been able to go and get,

  Speaker 3: but also the guys that don't mind sitting and waiting

  Speaker 3: their turn. Like a guy in Lightfoot who, you know, five-star,

  Speaker 3: a lot of expectations coming in, waited his turn, got

  Speaker 3: actually a ton of playing time in the playoff ranks,

  Speaker 3: they kind of had him in as a rabbit package

  Speaker 3: type defensive end. Now it's his shot. Now it's his

  Speaker 3: turn to lead this team and he's more than ready.

  Speaker 3: guys that they've added, the fact that they have Malachi

  Speaker 3: Tony back, who I think is like the best player

  Speaker 3: in the world. Like I get Jeremiah Smith and what

  Speaker 3: he is, but Mally does a lot of things differently, man.

  Speaker 3: And the way that he's able to just be such

  Speaker 3: a threat in a lot of different ways as just

  Speaker 3: and get Darren Mensah, who is just a monster. Like,

  Speaker 3: that dude, he's kind of like Carson Beck and Cam combined. Like,

  Speaker 3: I'm not saying you get this perfect, unbelievable prospect, but

  Speaker 3: he can do the off-script things really well like Cam did.

  Speaker 3: He can also stay in the pocket and read a

  Speaker 1: Yeah, and you mentioned, you know, So maybe two points

  Speaker 1: is a slight drop off on the defensive line. but

  Speaker 1: you've elevated so many other places. And we saw that
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: happen kind of in reverse last year with the canes,

  Speaker 1: their defense was terrible in 23, I'm sorry, in 24.

  Speaker 1: And really is why, what costs them games toward the
• 4:30
  Speaker 1: end of the year. And so, but they lost cam ward. Well,

  Speaker 1: their defense got better and Beck maybe wasn't as prolific
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: as word was, but it was okay.

  Speaker 2: Cause you mitigated that by getting better in other places.

  Speaker 2: The other thing I'll say is I don't, I know.

  Speaker 3: forward this year from a hurricane standpoint.

  Speaker 1: College football is so different now, even than when you

  Speaker 1: played to the fact that like, man, once you get into.

  Speaker 2: That playoff, which we all kind of expect Miami to

  Speaker 2: make the playoff.

  Speaker 1: Um, it's a completely different season and you can set

  Speaker 1: yourself up for a lot more success, but I do

  Speaker 1: think we, as fans have to adjust kind of our

  Speaker 1: expectation because man, when you get four elite teams in

  Speaker 1: that final, let's say that final four is Oregon, Miami, Texas,

  Speaker 1: Ohio state, like any of those teams who, who can
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: survive those, you know, those matchups, but Miami scheduled, not
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: the toughest this year, right from the outset, we'll see
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: what it looks like when they actually play it. How
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: do they avoid the mistakes that they've fallen into?
• 7:50
  Speaker 2: Um, with losing to ACC teams that they shouldn't lose to.

  Speaker 2: Or like, how do they survive that? Because it's, they

  Speaker 2: should hold serve. You lose to Notre Dame, you beat,

  Speaker 2: it doesn't matter. Hold serve in the ACC. How do

  Speaker 3: Well, it's such a fascinating thing a year ago, because again,

  Speaker 3: it was like a Friday night game against a really

  Speaker 3: good Louisville team. And you're, you're just thinking there shouldn't

  Speaker 3: be distractions. You shouldn't be overlooking. You shouldn't be thinking anything,

  Speaker 3: but there were just some weird plays. And listen, I

  Speaker 3: don't want to put, the blunt of it on Carson Beck,

  Speaker 3: but he made some big decisions that, that lost them
• 8:24
  Speaker 3: that game. I mean, he had multiple turnovers and on one,
• 8:27
  Speaker 3: he said, you know, the guy ran the wrong route,
• 8:29
  Speaker 3: which I get that. You don't want to necessarily throw
• 8:31
  Speaker 3: your guys under the bus, but he's got to protect
• 8:33
  Speaker 3: himself too, because there was that stigma of the turnovers

  Speaker 3: in the big games. And so, you know, to me,

  Speaker 3: Darian Mensah doesn't make those plays. Darian Mensah doesn't give

  Speaker 3: the ball away. You look a couple of years ago

  Speaker 3: with the, the, again, the cam ward show, uh, their

  Speaker 3: defense is going to be light years better from that.

  Speaker 3: So they're not going to have to score 50 to

  Speaker 3: win a game versus Cal on a crazy nighttime game there.

  Speaker 3: So that to me is why and how this team

  Speaker 3: is progressing, progressing, progressing each and every year. It might

  Speaker 3: not be as reflective in the win column because you

  Speaker 3: won so many games a year ago, but the way

  Speaker 3: it looks, the lack of mistakes, the understanding, and really

  Speaker 3: just how hungry this team is. When you get that close,

  Speaker 3: like I think back to my senior year at Clemson,

  Speaker 3: We were 14-0, number one in the country, the entire
• 9:19
  Speaker 3: playoff rankings, and then lost in the national championship. Like
• 9:23
  Speaker 3: these guys lost in the national championship. That next year,
• 9:26
  Speaker 3: that team was so hungry. It was like they hadn't
• 9:29
  Speaker 3: been there for 30 years. Mind you, they were just there.

  Speaker 3: So I think this team will embody that. I think
• 9:35
  Speaker 3: this coaching staff will push that. And it's almost like
• 9:40
  Speaker 3: that proof of what we say is going to work.

  Speaker 3: How much farther can you as a player take us

  Speaker 3: that that's where I think they are. And I think

  Speaker 3: you don't see those hiccups like I'm looking at the

  Speaker 3: schedule here at Clemson will be a difficult game you

  Speaker 3: have a buy and then you have Florida State that

  Speaker 3: stretch will probably be the toughest outside of the singular.

  Speaker 3: the big three, wide receiver, running back, quarterback, they're dominating

  Speaker 3: secondary is really good. Like Moore is, I mean, he's

  Speaker 3: probably a top ten pick, top five pick. Like he's electric. Again,

  Speaker 3: the speed has certainly gotten better, but I lean Miami

  Speaker 3: right now just because we've seen that. I just saw

  Speaker 3: team a year ago, Notre Dame. And I think Miami's

  Speaker 3: gotten better. So I do give them the edge. But again,
