- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:21Speaker 3: We are a wounded group today.
- 0:23Speaker 4: I'm fine.
- 0:24Speaker 3: By group, I mean me and Taylor.
- 0:28Speaker 1: As the Knicks lose last night at the Mecca, the
- 0:32Speaker 1: series now two games to one, we have ourselves a series.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Here Israel Goudieirez, who was trying to make himself a
- 0:38Speaker 1: Knicks fan, seems to suddenly try to or at least
- 0:42Speaker 1: from the conversation we had before the show, is trying
- 0:45Speaker 1: to distance himself from the New York Knicks and their
- 0:48Speaker 1: fan base. But we'll get to that in just a second.
- 0:51Speaker 1: What were your thoughts the big I guess the big
- 0:53Speaker 1: complaint from Nick fans last night. Mike Brown lent his
- 0:56Speaker 1: voice to it after the show, and we'll play that
- 0:58Speaker 1: in just a second. What were your thought the officiating
- 1:01Speaker 1: last night?
- 1:01Speaker 5: Is he I think for the entire series it feels
- 1:05Speaker 5: like it's uneven officiating. I would even go back, not
- 1:08Speaker 5: necessarily the Eastern Conference Finals, but include the Western Conference
- 1:11Speaker 5: finals in this conversation. So anything involving Wemby for the
- 1:15Speaker 5: last two rounds has been uneven officiating. There have been
- 1:18Speaker 5: times where I'm just like, that's clearly a foul and
- 1:20Speaker 5: it doesn't even matter which team I'm talking about. It
- 1:22Speaker 5: doesn't you know, the foul isn't getting called. There are
- 1:24Speaker 5: other times, I mean there I feel like the guy
- 1:27Speaker 5: who has the biggest complaint of everybody in this series
- 1:30Speaker 5: is Stefan Castle, who feels I feel like he gets
- 1:32Speaker 5: fouled multiple times every time he drives and very rarely
- 1:36Speaker 5: gets the call, and he has been holding back on
- 1:39Speaker 5: how he can react. If he decides to unleash, it's
- 1:42Speaker 5: going to be a bad thing for the Knicks and.
- 1:44Speaker 4: For the officials.
- 1:45Speaker 5: And so yeah, I think it's been uneven officiating. I
- 1:47Speaker 5: think when you get to this point, it feels like
- 1:50Speaker 5: over the last couple of years to that officials have
- 1:53Speaker 5: been going more hands off the deeper they get into
- 1:55Speaker 5: the playoffs. Yes, and that to me is a problem. Right,
- 1:58Speaker 5: It's like, we have to be consistent with how we
- 2:00Speaker 5: call these games. Don't make it more difficult just because
- 2:03Speaker 5: we're deeper into the playoffs, be consistent with the entire
- 2:07Speaker 5: series and so or entire playoffs. And so last night
- 2:10Speaker 5: I thought, yes, if you were to just look at
- 2:13Speaker 5: it this one single game, it looked like the officials
- 2:17Speaker 5: maybe favored the Spurs. Maybe the Knicks got away with
- 2:20Speaker 5: the few i'm sorry, the Spurs got away with some
- 2:22Speaker 5: fouls and the Knicks that weren't.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Whistled at all.
- 2:25Speaker 5: And if you look at the final numbers to field
- 2:29Speaker 5: goals made for the series so far, the Knicks have
- 2:31Speaker 5: eight more okay field goals attempted. You know, they're basically
- 2:36Speaker 5: trying to put up more shots because they're not getting
- 2:38Speaker 5: to the free throw line as much. And on the
- 2:40Speaker 5: free throw line, the Spurs have a seven i'm sorry,
- 2:45Speaker 5: the Spurs have a twenty three free throw advantage for
- 2:48Speaker 5: the series. And so when you're down two to one
- 2:50Speaker 5: and you're the Spurs, when you look at those free
- 2:51Speaker 5: throws numbers, you can't help but say, yes, we've been
- 2:54Speaker 5: benefiting from the whistle. But just watching the game, it
- 2:57Speaker 5: just looks like the refs are just having a hard
- 2:59Speaker 5: time period.
- 3:01Speaker 6: And is he that that twenty three advantage on the
- 3:03Speaker 6: free throw line doesn't even account for some of those
- 3:06Speaker 6: free throws that the Knicks are taking are the hack
- 3:08Speaker 6: of Mitch Robinson where the Spurs are intentionally putting him
- 3:11Speaker 6: on the line.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure and so but the other thing about
- 3:14Speaker 5: that is if you look at Victor Wembinyama and we
- 3:16Speaker 5: talked about you talked about it in the previous series, right, Taylor,
- 3:19Speaker 5: it feels like they don't know how to call a
- 3:21Speaker 5: goaltend against him because they've never really dealt with the
- 3:24Speaker 5: ballgatting blocked.
- 3:24Speaker 3: We've never seen anything like him before in the NBA.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Of of course, he's hard to officiate.
- 3:28Speaker 5: He's got so much body that it's hard to see
- 3:31Speaker 5: when his body is getting contacted. Like Mitch Johnson even
- 3:35Speaker 5: had to pull a similar to Mike Brown on that
- 3:38Speaker 5: three point and one attempt by Victor wembin Yama had
- 3:42Speaker 5: to challenge an out of bounce call just so you
- 3:45Speaker 5: can see how badly Victor Wembinyama was getting fouled. And so, Yes,
- 3:50Speaker 5: in general, I believe the officiating two have been bad.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Do I think that it's favoring one team.
- 3:55Speaker 3: More over the other?
- 3:56Speaker 5: I can't really say, because it's possible the Spurs deserve
- 3:59Speaker 5: even more whistles.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Then they've gotten.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Taylor put it on the poll.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Every time the camera pans over to Mitch Johnson, do
- 4:05Speaker 1: you think he's going in for Stefan Castle?
- 4:09Speaker 3: The guy looks like he's twenty five years old. Man
- 4:12Speaker 3: does it looks like he can play a little bit.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Let's listen to Karl Anthony Towns after the game talking
- 4:17Speaker 1: about the officiating.
- 4:18Speaker 7: No, I ain't cost us a game, turned the ball over,
- 4:22Speaker 7: didn't execute, didn't do what got us thirteen straight wins
- 4:25Speaker 7: in a row. That's how you lose the game. We
- 4:27Speaker 7: didn't do what we didn't doing for thirteen. We decided
- 4:30Speaker 7: to do something different. It ain't gonna work and I'm
- 4:33Speaker 7: throwing the ball away. Is a clear indication of how
- 4:35Speaker 7: you're going to lose a game, especially in the playoffs.
- 4:38Speaker 1: All right, So that's Karl Anthony's town Karl Anthony Towns'
- 4:41Speaker 1: version of it. Here is Knicks head coach Mike Brown
- 4:43Speaker 1: talking about the officiating.
- 4:45Speaker 8: If we play Game four and in the second half
- 4:49Speaker 8: they get twenty four free throw attempts tar eight and
- 4:52Speaker 8: maybe we were fouling. Maybe we were fouling, but they
- 4:55Speaker 8: fouled too. Can't get the ball off of loose ball
- 4:58Speaker 8: rebound and he shoots it and he gets whacked across
- 5:01Speaker 8: the arm and they hit the ball and it goes
- 5:03Speaker 8: out of bounds on the baseline. There's no foul. There
- 5:06Speaker 8: were opportunities for fouls to be called to at least
- 5:10Speaker 8: try to even the free throws out to go twenty
- 5:12Speaker 8: four free throw attempts in the second half. That's forty eight.
- 5:17Speaker 3: For the game.
- 5:17Speaker 8: If you think about it, the way that they called
- 5:19Speaker 8: that second half, compared to eight all the shots we took,
- 5:23Speaker 8: we got fouled four times roughly for eight free throw temps. Again,
- 5:29Speaker 8: I don't complain much. I never thought i'd see that
- 5:32Speaker 8: in an NBA Finals game, and I saw it tonight.
- 5:35Speaker 8: It's tough to overcome when you're playing against a great team.
- 5:38Speaker 5: He doesn't complain much, but he should complain more because
- 5:41Speaker 5: he's not good at it yet.
- 5:42Speaker 4: He needs to practice.
- 5:43Speaker 1: So I hear both of those that I hear Karl
- 5:45Speaker 1: Anthony town saying what a player who had a bad
- 5:47Speaker 1: game should be saying. Right, I'm not going to blame
- 5:49Speaker 1: the officials, not going to blame the referees.
- 5:51Speaker 3: And then I hear a coach and this should be
- 5:52Speaker 3: obvious to most people.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Because Mike Brown's getting killed today for complaining about the
- 5:56Speaker 1: officiating right after that game, as if that's the reason
- 5:59Speaker 1: they lost.
- 6:00Speaker 3: He's not doing that. He knows the Spurs out played
- 6:03Speaker 3: him last night. What he is doing is laying down
- 6:05Speaker 3: a foundation for game four.
- 6:07Speaker 5: That's all really though, purely, because all he's doing is
- 6:09Speaker 5: bringing out the numbers. If you're trying to lay a foundation,
- 6:12Speaker 5: then say then say, hey, Cat got filed on this play.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Cat got filed on this play. Cat got filed on
- 6:17Speaker 5: this play. He deserves more calls. Jalen got fouled on
- 6:20Speaker 5: this play. He deserves more calls. Don't go give me
- 6:23Speaker 5: the math, because the math for a half, stew the
- 6:26Speaker 5: whole game wasn't even that bad. You're talking about a half,
- 6:28Speaker 5: you're just picking a time. It's nonsense. And so yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 5: and the funny part about the Cat quote isn't necessarily
- 6:34Speaker 5: the fact that he completely contradicted his coach, But when
- 6:37Speaker 5: he went into further detail, he's not only contradicting his coach,
- 6:40Speaker 5: he's saying, hey, we got away from what we were doing, Stu,
- 6:43Speaker 5: what were they doing? He was the MVP through two games, right, yes,
- 6:46Speaker 5: and then he said throwing the ball away. He was
- 6:48Speaker 5: essentially saying, give the ball back to me, correct and
- 6:51Speaker 5: take it away from whom the guy who was throwing
- 6:53Speaker 5: the ball away, who had five turnovers. Yes, Jalen Bruni,
- 6:56Speaker 5: if this team hadn't just won thirteenth straight, you would say, hey,
- 6:59Speaker 5: maybe there's some internal issues going on.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:03Speaker 6: Yeah, So, dating back to last postseason, New York is
- 7:07Speaker 6: fourteen to zero. When Karl Anthony Towns has four or
- 7:10Speaker 6: more assists in a game, Jalen Brunson this postseason or
- 7:14Speaker 6: this series has as many turnovers as assists, And I
- 7:17Speaker 6: think Jalen Brunson would be the first person today that
- 7:20Speaker 6: would tell you he has to play better. The one
- 7:23Speaker 6: encouraging thing how people took encouraging signs from Game two
- 7:27Speaker 6: that the Spurs would play better in Game three was
- 7:30Speaker 6: Jalen Brunson in that fourth quarter where you see the flashes,
- 7:33Speaker 6: where you see him score twelve points that quarter. You
- 7:36Speaker 6: see the player that Knicks fans have kind of gotten
- 7:39Speaker 6: to know the past couple of years, like if we're
- 7:41Speaker 6: in crunch situations, if we're in clutch situations, this is
- 7:45Speaker 6: gonna be the guy that comes through for us. Where
- 7:46Speaker 6: he's four or six from the field. And while I
- 7:50Speaker 6: think the officiating was bad, While I think the officiating
- 7:53Speaker 6: was slanted one side, ultimately, Stu, you know this, it's
- 7:57Speaker 6: a make or miss league. The Knicks are twelve and
- 7:59Speaker 6: one when they outshoot their opponent from three, two and
- 8:02Speaker 6: two when they don't. From the field, it's thirteen and
- 8:05Speaker 6: oh one in three when they don't.
- 8:07Speaker 5: It's even what you're talking about with the Karl Anthony
- 8:09Speaker 5: Towns assists number. That's entirely dependent on mak or miss.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:12Speaker 5: He could hit wide open people and they could still
- 8:14Speaker 5: miss that shot. So it is very much that it's
- 8:17Speaker 5: make or miss. But it does feel a little annoying,
- 8:22Speaker 5: not as a Knicks fan, but as a bona fide
- 8:23Speaker 5: New Yorker. You're yesterday when you're putting up more shots,
- 8:27Speaker 5: and you're making more shots, and you're just not getting
- 8:30Speaker 5: to the free throw line enough. That's the difference in
- 8:32Speaker 5: this thing. It feels like, as a basketball player, a
- 8:35Speaker 5: little unfair, even if it's not.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I have to follow the face of mikey A. He's
- 8:39Speaker 1: always making faces. You were making faces as tailor was
- 8:42Speaker 1: talking what was going on there.
- 8:45Speaker 6: I'm a son, I have three brothers, I have two kids,
- 8:48Speaker 6: I have a dog and a loving wife.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Man, nobody loves me the way Taylor loves you. I
- 8:54Speaker 3: don't know he will.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Like honestly, listen, he'll be the first to tell you
- 9:01Speaker 2: that he needs to play like. It's just there's just
- 9:04Speaker 2: such an unquestioned love for him, and I just I'm
- 9:09Speaker 2: jealous because nobody loves me.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Well, he's written five songs.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Four wasn't enough, and he said Jalen Brunton has changed
- 9:14Speaker 1: his life and so therefore he's going to defend Jalen
- 9:17Speaker 1: Brunson until the very end here, until they lose, and
- 9:19Speaker 1: then he'll turn on them.
- 9:20Speaker 3: You'll see, raise your hand if you're a son, Oh
- 9:22Speaker 3: that's all us. Raise your hand, if you have a dog,
- 9:25Speaker 3: that's some of us.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Oh sorry, is he.
- 9:30Speaker 3: You got it? You got it too soon?
- 9:35Speaker 1: Is he who wanted to be a Knick fan yesterday
- 9:37Speaker 1: when they were up to oh and it was convenient
- 9:40Speaker 1: and they look like maybe the best team effort to
- 9:42Speaker 1: run through the postseason because they had one thirteen straight,
- 9:45Speaker 1: is now disgusted by the Knicks and their fan base
- 9:48Speaker 1: because they were getting all over San Antonio's fan base
- 9:51Speaker 1: yesterday after that loss.
- 9:52Speaker 3: What happened is he man. First of all, I was
- 9:55Speaker 3: just trying to be accepted by the Knicks face. I
- 9:57Speaker 3: didn't want to necessarily become a Knicks fan project yes rejected.
- 10:01Speaker 1: And the way he tried to do it was to
- 10:03Speaker 1: point out that his grandmother's building in New York was
- 10:06Speaker 1: once in a movie, amongst other things.
- 10:08Speaker 5: By the way, Taylor, you got to give me the
- 10:09Speaker 5: stamp if you're rejecting it. That was one thing he was.
- 10:13Speaker 5: My grandmother's building was in the scene of the movie
- 10:16Speaker 5: Boomerang where Eddie Murphy and Halle Berry were walking down
- 10:19Speaker 5: the street a famous seed. And they also lived most
- 10:22Speaker 5: of their lives and died in New York. And I
- 10:24Speaker 5: was also born in New York, so plenty of bona
- 10:25Speaker 5: fides there. But I saw the video, multiple videos rather
- 10:29Speaker 5: of Knicks fans effectively going to rip off the shirts
- 10:34Speaker 5: of the jerseys of Spurs fans, and that to me
- 10:37Speaker 5: is just such a line crosser, like you do not
- 10:41Speaker 5: do that to another person. You have to give the
- 10:44Speaker 5: posing teams fans the freedom to exist in your space
- 10:48Speaker 5: like you can't be, especially as a Knicks fan, where
- 10:51Speaker 5: you see Knicks fans be in every other building all
- 10:54Speaker 5: across the country, and you're like, oh, okay, yeah, we're representing.
- 10:57Speaker 5: And yet when they come represent in your place, you're
- 11:00Speaker 5: going to rip off or attempt to rip off their
- 11:02Speaker 5: jerseys and get these people even more upset at you.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Ye shout out to Real Takes Reviews who had this point.
- 11:08Speaker 5: I think he is a Philadelphia guy on Instagram where
- 11:10Speaker 5: he said Knicks fans are what people think Philadelphia fans
- 11:14Speaker 5: actually are and Taylor, I'm sorry, but this is one
- 11:17Speaker 5: hundred percent true because I would rather watch a crazy
- 11:21Speaker 5: Sixers fan or a Philly fan eat his own poop
- 11:24Speaker 5: then I would see this nonsense and just disrespecting another
- 11:28Speaker 5: human like that.
- 11:30Speaker 6: New York City has more than eight million people. Miami
- 11:33Speaker 6: has fewer than five hundred thousand people. So I just
- 11:37Speaker 6: I just don't agree with you know, spare me the
- 11:40Speaker 6: attempts to paint an entire city based on a video
- 11:43Speaker 6: of a few fans fighting after Game three. You're gonna
- 11:47Speaker 6: you're gonna have idiots doing idiotic things when you have
- 11:50Speaker 6: a city of eight million people. That's not a but.
- 11:52Speaker 5: It's multiple, multiple videos, multiple people doing it, the people
- 11:56Speaker 5: watching cheering them on. That's a good portion of a
- 11:59Speaker 5: fan base. It's like that doesn't represent everybody. Of course,
- 12:02Speaker 5: and I don't really know where Miami came into this,
- 12:04Speaker 5: but that doesn't represent everybody. But again, I don't see
- 12:07Speaker 5: this in Philadelphia. I don't see this in Golden State
- 12:09Speaker 5: when they're winning. I don't see this anywhere else. It's here,
- 12:12Speaker 5: and it's supported in those videos by.
- 12:14Speaker 3: A bunch of just annoying folks.
- 12:16Speaker 1: He said when they're winning, which is a good point, tailor,
- 12:19Speaker 1: that was their reaction. They're up two games to one
- 12:21Speaker 1: in the series. Imagine if they lose a Game six
- 12:24Speaker 1: at home and they lose the NBA Championship, how they're
- 12:28Speaker 1: going to act around Spurs fans who decided to come
- 12:30Speaker 1: into town to see that game. He is right from
- 12:33Speaker 1: that standpoint. I would also tell Philadelphia fans, relax, this
- 12:36Speaker 1: is not your moment to attack New York and their
- 12:39Speaker 1: fan bases, okay, because yours is the worst in the country.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Period.
- 12:44Speaker 1: You cheered a man who was almost paralyzed being carried
- 12:47Speaker 1: off a football field, Michael Irvin, the playmaker. I do
- 12:50Speaker 1: not want to hear you threw eggs at your offensive
- 12:53Speaker 1: coordinator's house. The guy won you a Super Bowl a
- 12:56Speaker 1: year or two before. I don't want to hear about it.
- 12:59Speaker 5: From Phillis offering him some eggs because they're expensive, and
- 13:02Speaker 5: they're like, here, you might need these, go ahead.
- 13:04Speaker 2: We're also offering Santa batteries apparently.
- 13:08Speaker 5: Again, Taylor, I don't mean to make it sound like
- 13:10Speaker 5: I am, you know, painting the entire fan base with that,
- 13:14Speaker 5: But no other fan base do I see that particular action,
- 13:17Speaker 5: And to me, that was just unacceptable.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just.
- 13:20Speaker 6: The overwhelming majority of Knicks fans spent the night being
- 13:25Speaker 6: just normal fans, celebrating the stressing, arguing about the referees. Yes,
- 13:31Speaker 6: there there's there's more videos when stuff like this comes
- 13:35Speaker 6: out because it's New York City and you just have
- 13:38Speaker 6: an influx of people there. But I just I just
- 13:42Speaker 6: like when when I'm out in the city, like that's
- 13:44Speaker 6: that's not my experience, and what I'm doing when I'm.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Out there, well, I mean, tell you're going to an
- 13:50Speaker 1: open bar and getting a Shirley temple, so you're not
- 13:52Speaker 1: look it up your your decent human being is what
- 13:54Speaker 1: I'm trying to say. Uh and and and listen, your
- 13:57Speaker 1: point is a good one. There's a very small percentage
- 13:59Speaker 1: of fans who are actually out there doing that stuff.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Is he right?
- 14:03Speaker 5: And it's unfortunate that they have to represent the same
- 14:05Speaker 5: group of people that Taylor's representing.
- 14:07Speaker 4: So it's just you have to be lumped in together.
- 14:10Speaker 3: It is what it is.
- 14:10Speaker 5: Your small percentage of the worst of you are going
- 14:13Speaker 5: to represent.
- 14:14Speaker 3: All of you.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company

- 14:31Speaker 1: one sports book. We appreciate all their support here on
- 14:34Speaker 1: the national radio show and of course the podcast as well.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Is he I cannot get tailor focused on anything else
- 14:40Speaker 1: other than things happening at Madison Square Garden, around Madison
- 14:43Speaker 1: Square Garden, anything going on with the Knicks. We have
- 14:46Speaker 1: a report from Mark Stein on Wemby's foul last night.
- 14:49Speaker 4: We'll get to that in a second mark Stein.
- 14:52Speaker 1: But Taylor, since you are in New York, you're close
- 14:54Speaker 1: to the action. What are Nick fans doing in terms
- 14:56Speaker 1: of exercising the demons right now?
- 14:58Speaker 3: What is going on?
- 14:59Speaker 1: Because Nick fans are wheeling today we are nerve. We
- 15:01Speaker 1: were celebrating last night headed into Game three. At twenty
- 15:05Speaker 1: four hours later, we could now see a path with
- 15:08Speaker 1: the Spurs or holding up the Larry O'Brien Trophy at
- 15:11Speaker 1: the end of the season.
- 15:13Speaker 4: So one fan in particular with my Sam he hosts.
- 15:17Speaker 6: He hosts seven PM in Brooklyn with the Kid Merrow
- 15:20Speaker 6: and Carmelo Anthony. He tweeted, all Knicks fans, meet me
- 15:24Speaker 6: in front of MSG at one thirty pm and bring
- 15:27Speaker 6: your sage. We gotta clean this out for Wednesday. A
- 15:31Speaker 6: lot of people thought he was joking. He was serious.
- 15:33Speaker 6: He really did bring the sage. This is kind of
- 15:36Speaker 6: everybody do your part. I'm gonna do my job so
- 15:39Speaker 6: the Knicks can do their job Game four.
- 15:41Speaker 5: I appreciate the gesture. I just hate the smell of
- 15:44Speaker 5: burnt sage. I don't like it at all. And if
- 15:47Speaker 5: they're just making that entire area smell like that, I
- 15:52Speaker 5: don't know.
- 15:52Speaker 3: If it's gonna help Gotadell and Stu.
- 15:56Speaker 6: If I could stay with the Knicks topic for a second,
- 15:58Speaker 6: Langston Galloway tweeted, no, boy, I need tickets for Game
- 16:02Speaker 6: four and somebody from the Knicks has to do something
- 16:07Speaker 6: because Langston Galloway legend. Nobody epitomizes better the stretch of
- 16:13Speaker 6: basketball between finals appearances be with nineteen ninety nine and
- 16:18Speaker 6: twenty twenty six than Langston Galloway, where somebody came out
- 16:22Speaker 6: from from almost out of nowhere to be like, is
- 16:25Speaker 6: this gonna be the guy that saves the Knicks. Now,
- 16:27Speaker 6: ultimately he was not the guy that saved the Knicks,
- 16:30Speaker 6: but still Knicks fans today we love Langston Galloway. Knicks
- 16:34Speaker 6: give the tickets to Langston Galloway instead of DJ Khal
- 16:38Speaker 6: dj kllen out of there.
- 16:39Speaker 4: I mean, I don't even get me started on DJ Khaled.
- 16:42Speaker 5: DJ Khaled was literally on my Miami Heat podcast four
- 16:45Speaker 5: Years of Heat as our our celebrity fan, our signature
- 16:50Speaker 5: celebrity fan.
- 16:52Speaker 3: He's talking about.
- 16:52Speaker 5: All his hits and how they line up with the
- 16:54Speaker 5: championships from the Heat, and then you see him as
- 16:57Speaker 5: Fat Joe's guest on the wood in New York. I
- 17:00Speaker 5: feel like his card is completely absolutely just gonna get
- 17:05Speaker 5: torn up, like he cannot be a Heat fan anymore.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Well, in fact, Joe's his card should be torn up
- 17:08Speaker 3: for bringing a Heat fan. No, well that's another thing now,
- 17:11Speaker 3: it's a terrible job by him. And what is Bob
- 17:13Speaker 3: Kraft doing there?
- 17:14Speaker 4: That's another one, another one.
- 17:15Speaker 5: It's like, that's the one thing about Nicks games when
- 17:17Speaker 5: you look and you just can find a celebrity anyway.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Just is that? Yeah?
- 17:20Speaker 4: I think it is. But here's the other thing.
- 17:22Speaker 5: The only redeemable quality here are the only argument that
- 17:27Speaker 5: Dj Khaled has here is if the Knicks lose and
- 17:31Speaker 5: lodes this series, he would say, you're welcome.
- 17:33Speaker 4: I went there to jinx them.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Another one, another one, yes, go ahead.
- 17:38Speaker 6: And to DJ Cowed's credit, to DJ Cowd's credit, at
- 17:41Speaker 6: least he didn't fall asleep.
- 17:42Speaker 3: No man away.
- 17:46Speaker 1: But Nick fans are really Mikey a the Bob Craft
- 17:49Speaker 1: Mikey A many times me and him are doing a
- 17:51Speaker 1: show inside the show and it's just eye contact. We're
- 17:54Speaker 1: not saying a word to each other. You were laughing
- 17:56Speaker 1: because I had to get Bob Craft in there.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I mean, of course you gotta get Bob Crafted there
- 18:01Speaker 2: because he has no business being there.
- 18:03Speaker 3: It's is he doing another one? And another one?
- 18:06Speaker 6: And I'm thinking back to on the podcast go Download It,
- 18:09Speaker 6: ste got some company where you could not figure out
- 18:13Speaker 6: how to deliver the joke, but you.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Had the punchline. Yeah, so you just said something about
- 18:17Speaker 3: in another one. Here was Fat Joe's plus one.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I wanted to say it was Fat Joe's another one.
- 18:24Speaker 5: That would have been good, just like Ricardo when he
- 18:26Speaker 5: said earlier Donald Slump.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Yes, amazing.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Speaking of Ricardo, he does, We'll get to this in
- 18:31Speaker 1: the final segment. He has fifty shows better than Breaking Bed.
- 18:36Speaker 3: We'll take them five at a todd Yeah, what is
- 18:38Speaker 3: going on here?
- 18:39Speaker 1: Taylor mark Stein is reporting what as it relates to
- 18:42Speaker 1: Wemby's possible flagrant foul that was missed by the referees
- 18:46Speaker 1: in last night's game.
- 18:49Speaker 4: So Mark Song tweeted out.
- 18:50Speaker 6: The NBA head of officiating, Monty McCutcheon, is appearing now
- 18:54Speaker 6: on ESPN. He acknowledges that a foul was missed on
- 18:57Speaker 6: Victor Wenbinyama's first quarter shove of Jalen Brunt and says
- 19:00Speaker 6: the league's review is still ongoing regarding whether the play
- 19:04Speaker 6: will be deemed a retroactive flagrant foul. So is he
- 19:07Speaker 6: If this is deemed a flagrant foul, Wembinyama will now
- 19:11Speaker 6: have three flagrant foul points, and if he gets four,
- 19:14Speaker 6: he would be suspended. So we are we are getting
- 19:17Speaker 6: dangerously close to a potential Game seven that doesn't include
- 19:22Speaker 6: Victor Webbinyama.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Right at the very least, this forces him. If indeed
- 19:26Speaker 1: it isn't forced, this would force him to play differently,
- 19:29Speaker 1: especially on the defensive side of the of the court.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Right is he potentially I mean he's thinking there because
- 19:34Speaker 1: the next one is a full game.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:36Speaker 5: Yeah, And let me just say this, this is complete BS.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Don't give me the retroactive flagrant foul ruling. Okay, if
- 19:43Speaker 5: you didn't rule it after potential review, even if you
- 19:46Speaker 5: didn't review it, if you didn't rule it on the court,
- 19:48Speaker 5: it's over man, it's over with.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Like this affects the game too much.
- 19:51Speaker 5: It's like saying, oh, I'm sorry, we missed two plays
- 19:53Speaker 5: where Karl Anthony or Victor Webinyama stepped out of bounds.
- 19:56Speaker 3: The Knicks actually.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Won this game.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Reverse that. It's just it's ridiculous.
- 20:01Speaker 6: I'm actually going the opposite ways too coarse Yeah one, yes,
- 20:04Speaker 6: when he whispered that thunder series and then Mason Plummey
- 20:07Speaker 6: took somebody out, I want that to be retroactively.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Looked at it.
- 20:11Speaker 4: I Beliegue would never allow it.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 20:16Speaker 2: Live WEEKDA said three pm Eastern, twelve pm Pacific.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Mike GOLOKSENI you're going to join us in about fifteen minutes.
- 20:26Speaker 1: We have not talked nearly enough about Brendan Soresby two
- 20:30Speaker 1: game suspension.
- 20:31Speaker 3: We'll talk about that with Mike coming up.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Is He's been walking around here mikey A and Taylor,
- 20:36Speaker 1: and he just keeps muttering under his breath. Steph Curry's
- 20:40Speaker 1: my goat. Steph Curry's my goat. Steph Curry's my goat.
- 20:43Speaker 1: And I haven't said any to him. I just let
- 20:45Speaker 1: him say it. I haven't engaged him. I don't want
- 20:46Speaker 1: to get into that conversation. I'm focused on the New
- 20:49Speaker 1: York Knicks right now.
- 20:50Speaker 3: I am.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I would like Taylor to go out to the Guarden tomorrow,
- 20:53Speaker 1: to the Mecca before they shut down Midtown Manhattan like
- 20:57Speaker 1: they did yesterday, and actually go to a restaurant buy
- 21:00Speaker 1: Madison Square Guardian, talk to a host and ask him, hey, host,
- 21:05Speaker 1: one table left to this restaurant. Carl Anthony Towns walks in,
- 21:09Speaker 1: and Patrick Ewing walks in. Who's getting the table now.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Yesterday the answer would have been Karl Anthony Towns. Today
- 21:15Speaker 1: that answer is Patrick Youwday it is. Yes, that's a
- 21:21Speaker 1: great idea him going to actual New York restaurant. It
- 21:23Speaker 1: would be great check it out the Harpbar Taylor or
- 21:26Speaker 1: Blarney Stone Josh Hartbar. Not if I have Patrick Ewing
- 21:30Speaker 1: and o g walking in to a Blarney Stone in
- 21:34Speaker 1: Midtown Manhattan.
- 21:35Speaker 3: To sit down and have some dinner, it's absurd.
- 21:40Speaker 1: So is he's walking around Steph Curry's might go what
- 21:43Speaker 1: is going on with you and Steph Curry today?
- 21:44Speaker 5: I'll just just you can follow me on this because
- 21:48Speaker 5: this is where my thinking was whenever I saw Draymond
- 21:51Speaker 5: Green on the UH in the.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Broadcast booth yesterday.
- 21:54Speaker 5: It's, first of all, he's got to be looking down
- 21:57Speaker 5: and he's got to be laughing at these conversations about
- 21:59Speaker 5: Victor went and yeah, I'm a being a dirty player,
- 22:01Speaker 5: because Holy Christ, the things that Draymond Green got away with,
- 22:06Speaker 5: even at this level. Right, there's the old videos of
- 22:09Speaker 5: Steph Curry the Warriors offense how it used to be,
- 22:12Speaker 5: and it's just moving screen bah after moving screen bah.
- 22:15Speaker 5: And obviously we've seen what Draymond Green has done. He
- 22:18Speaker 5: did the lebron you know, kick to the testes when
- 22:20Speaker 5: he was in the finals, and so he's got to
- 22:23Speaker 5: be laughing at this, like it doesn't even reach Draymond
- 22:25Speaker 5: Green levels of physicality that Victor Webinyam has been doing.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I have to think of Taylor called Wemby a scumbag
- 22:31Speaker 1: earlier on the podcast, and listen, he's reeling, he was
- 22:33Speaker 1: in a bad moods. I'm starting to see color back
- 22:36Speaker 1: in his face. He's starting to regroup and regather himself.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Go ahead, Tylor, But just.
- 22:40Speaker 6: To be clear, I do stand by that statement.
- 22:45Speaker 1: It was a bit harsh. It was a bit harsh
- 22:48Speaker 1: for Wemby. But even the nick players, the nick legends
- 22:51Speaker 1: who were watching these games, they would laugh at the
- 22:54Speaker 1: notion that Wemby is a dirty player. All of the
- 22:57Speaker 1: guys watching the game when they were playing, they were
- 23:00Speaker 1: dirtier than the guy that everyone is calling dirty.
- 23:03Speaker 5: Today, when you have to resort to more physical play
- 23:06Speaker 5: because you're getting deeper in the playoffs, some of it
- 23:08Speaker 5: might look dirty.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Not everybody plays this way all the time.
- 23:11Speaker 5: But so there's that, right, the Draymond having and then
- 23:14Speaker 5: I sort of followed that thread, and I was like, oh.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Wait a second.
- 23:17Speaker 5: All these folks who are complaining about how Jalen Brunston
- 23:19Speaker 5: is getting defended and getting fouled all the time, go
- 23:22Speaker 5: check the tapes of Steph Curby while he was winning
- 23:25Speaker 5: championships and see how they were defending him, just pulling
- 23:28Speaker 5: and grabbing and tugging all over the place. And you
- 23:31Speaker 5: know it's par for the course at this time.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:35Speaker 5: So, then, Taylor, We've had this conversation. Right, if Draymond
- 23:38Speaker 5: Green gets drafted by any other team or by two
- 23:40Speaker 5: thirds of the team in the league, he has a
- 23:42Speaker 5: role player. He never sniffs an All Star game, maybe
- 23:44Speaker 5: has a four or five year career, and it's put
- 23:47Speaker 5: right right. That seems to be what a lot of
- 23:48Speaker 5: people would agree with.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Right place, right time. Hall of Fame, Hall of Fame.
- 23:52Speaker 3: You know who else belongs in that Hall of fame?
- 23:54Speaker 3: Who Klay Thompson? Really?
- 23:56Speaker 5: If Klay Thompson was not on the Warriors and a
- 23:59Speaker 5: you know, a fellow what do they call each other,
- 24:01Speaker 5: splash brother, then he is nowhere near the superstar that
- 24:06Speaker 5: he was. And I've said this since he was a star.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Put him on a team that does not have another
- 24:11Speaker 5: star make him the number one guy in his prime
- 24:14Speaker 5: on his team.
- 24:15Speaker 4: What does that look like? Not great?
- 24:17Speaker 5: The only thing I can compare it to is like
- 24:19Speaker 5: when Glenn Rice was the best player for the Flamy Heat, they.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Were a decent team.
- 24:22Speaker 3: That's a good cop right there. Yes, And then so
- 24:24Speaker 3: he had his moments.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Because he's had you know, he's a great shooter surrounded
- 24:27Speaker 5: by great talent, running in a great offense. So he
- 24:29Speaker 5: had a lot of great moments. But that's because of
- 24:33Speaker 5: Steph Curry.
- 24:34Speaker 3: He can do that.
- 24:34Speaker 5: He can have a five point game and nobody notices. Okay,
- 24:38Speaker 5: and yet Steph did all of that, the unanimous MVP,
- 24:42Speaker 5: the multiple championships, got robbed of an NBA Finals MVP
- 24:45Speaker 5: as well. And yes, when he had KD they were
- 24:48Speaker 5: an unfair team. Just the two of them are unfair.
- 24:51Speaker 5: But even if you look at those stats, the games
- 24:53Speaker 5: that they won with Steph and without KD something like
- 24:56Speaker 5: eighty percent. The games that they played with KD and
- 24:59Speaker 5: without Steph they won fifty four percent. That man elevated
- 25:02Speaker 5: everybody around him and by himself was an absolutely Like
- 25:07Speaker 5: we don't.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Talking about ethical hoops.
- 25:09Speaker 5: That is the most ethical Hooper there was right, Yeah,
- 25:11Speaker 5: And so everything about that man says the purity of
- 25:16Speaker 5: sport and what makes somebody a winner Like that dude
- 25:19Speaker 5: has done it over and over again. And I'm telling
- 25:22Speaker 5: you we're over estimating the abilities of Draymond and Clay
- 25:26Speaker 5: because they were teammates with him.
- 25:27Speaker 1: So you're saying, Steph, the reason those guys have had
- 25:30Speaker 1: Hall of Fame careers is in large part because they
- 25:33Speaker 1: had the opportunity to play with Steph Curry. But isn't
- 25:35Speaker 1: that the job of the great players of all time?
- 25:38Speaker 1: Like when you talk about the greatest players, Michael Jordan,
- 25:40Speaker 1: does Scotty Pippen have the same career? Does someone else
- 25:43Speaker 1: have the same career Scottie Pippen? Thank you for it
- 25:45Speaker 1: if they.
- 25:45Speaker 3: End up playing with Michael Jordan.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Now I know Jordan went out for a year or
- 25:48Speaker 1: two and Pippen still got his team to the Eastern
- 25:50Speaker 1: Conference semi finals to a game seven against the Knicks,
- 25:53Speaker 1: a game.
- 25:53Speaker 3: The Bulls probably should have won. So Pippen did.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Prove Hey, I could do it on my own, but
- 25:57Speaker 1: he proved it within the infrastructure.
- 25:59Speaker 3: That Michael phil Bilte.
- 26:00Speaker 5: You could argue that if he didn't play with Michael,
- 26:02Speaker 5: he never would have built himself to the player that
- 26:05Speaker 5: he was, whether it be because of him, whether it
- 26:07Speaker 5: because of the level of teams that were playing, whether
- 26:09Speaker 5: because it was the coaching. That's fine, But we saw
- 26:12Speaker 5: what he looked like in his prime without Michael Jordan,
- 26:15Speaker 5: and you can say to yourself, that guy would have
- 26:17Speaker 5: been a multiple time All Star, whether he had mj
- 26:19Speaker 5: next to him or not. Maybe not winning championships right,
- 26:21Speaker 5: but would have been a multiple time All Star. I
- 26:23Speaker 5: don't think anybody says that about Dre or maybe Clay
- 26:26Speaker 5: one or two All Star games, because he's such a
- 26:28Speaker 5: great shooter. But the man on a team, being the
- 26:31Speaker 5: man that's relied upon night after night on a team,
- 26:33Speaker 5: I don't think he had.
- 26:34Speaker 3: That in him. Go ahead tell.
- 26:36Speaker 6: Listening to Stu Gotts talk about the nineties bulls is
- 26:39Speaker 6: like watching Barry Bonds take batting practices.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I have him committed to memory.
- 26:44Speaker 3: I mean I do the first three.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Teams, the second three teams, Oh yeah, I could name
- 26:48Speaker 1: all of them. I mean I hear listen, there was
- 26:50Speaker 1: a time I got into this industry because at one
- 26:53Speaker 1: point in my life I cared about sports.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Do nothing makes me laugh harder than watching these reels
- 26:58Speaker 5: of these you know, young twenty something year olds realizing
- 27:01Speaker 5: how Michael Jackson played, Michael Jordan actually played. They're like
- 27:05Speaker 5: showing the tapes. I'm like, yeah, I know, I live
- 27:07Speaker 5: through this. I watch the man, You're nothing. Makes me
- 27:10Speaker 5: feel older.
- 27:10Speaker 1: They're also, uh, they're also learning how talented Michael Jackson
- 27:13Speaker 1: was and he went there. I think Billy Gene is
- 27:15Speaker 1: number one again. I mean, it's insane, it is right,
- 27:22Speaker 1: go ahead tell it.
- 27:23Speaker 6: So I have an update when it comes to the
- 27:26Speaker 6: Jalen Brunson Victor Wembin Yama stuff, because when Jalen Brunson
- 27:31Speaker 6: was asked about it yesterday, he said, whatever you saw
- 27:34Speaker 6: is what you saw. He wasn't really taking the bait.
- 27:36Speaker 6: He didn't want to put Fiel to that fire. He
- 27:39Speaker 6: was gonna let his play.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Dude.
- 27:40Speaker 6: The talking not not anymore because the anti has been
- 27:44Speaker 6: upped today. Jose Albarado on Wemby's shove of Jalen Brunson,
- 27:51Speaker 6: he got away with one. That'll be the last.
- 27:53Speaker 3: We've got ourselves a series. Boys.
- 27:56Speaker 4: I oh, let's analyze this.
- 27:59Speaker 3: That'll be the last one.
- 28:01Speaker 5: So does that mean they're going to proactively do something
- 28:04Speaker 5: to Wemby so that he can no longer foul anybody,
- 28:07Speaker 5: or they have to wait until he flagrantly fouls somebody
- 28:10Speaker 5: else to then react.
- 28:11Speaker 4: And you'll see what we do then. Is that what
- 28:13Speaker 4: he means?
- 28:15Speaker 6: This is the Knicks putting their foot down and saying, Wemby,
- 28:18Speaker 6: enough is enough. You're not coming into our building and
- 28:21Speaker 6: punking us anymore. What you did was was a cheap
- 28:24Speaker 6: shot to Jalen Brunson. Yep, that'll be the last one.
- 28:29Speaker 1: These are the things that happen when you stop celebrating
- 28:31Speaker 1: your two oho series lead and start realizing you're playing
- 28:34Speaker 1: a really good basketball team who's just as good as
- 28:36Speaker 1: you are, and you're terrified. So you start talking. And
- 28:40Speaker 1: now it's become a series. This has become a series.
- 28:42Speaker 1: And it's odd, is he because as a Nick fan,
- 28:45Speaker 1: I would prefer, obviously to be up three to zero
- 28:47Speaker 1: and try to close it out on Wednesday.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Yep.
- 28:50Speaker 1: As a sports fan, okay, you are getting exactly what
- 28:53Speaker 1: you wanted. Because there are a precious few days remaining
- 28:57Speaker 1: before we get to baseball.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Joey Chess nothing to do on the weekends.
- 29:01Speaker 1: And so fans really want to enjoy these final couple
- 29:04Speaker 1: of games here and the Spurs by winning last night,
- 29:07Speaker 1: and fans don't care how we get to the winning.
- 29:09Speaker 3: They only care about their own interests.
- 29:11Speaker 1: And fans now have themselves a series where Alvarado is
- 29:15Speaker 1: talking to Wemby, and Wemby's talking and we got Monni
- 29:18Speaker 1: mccutching going on and what a great name on the
- 29:21Speaker 1: ESPN to talk about whether or not this thing is
- 29:24Speaker 1: going to be overturned. I mean, now you have yourself
- 29:26Speaker 1: a series that sports fans can really wrap themselves around
- 29:29Speaker 1: and get themselves into. Because before last night is he
- 29:33Speaker 1: we had nothing even close to that. We had a city,
- 29:37Speaker 1: the number one city, the biggest market in America, celebrating
- 29:40Speaker 1: a championship two games before they wont actually anything.
- 29:43Speaker 3: I mean, it's crazy.
- 29:44Speaker 5: Listen, Alvarado, grand theft Alvarado, I love him. You can't
- 29:49Speaker 5: say that stuff through three games in the finals. Yes,
- 29:52Speaker 5: when you're shooting thirty three percent fourteen percent from three
- 29:56Speaker 5: and giving me four points.
- 29:58Speaker 3: All right? Yeah, and Jose Alvarado, get me a steal,
- 30:02Speaker 3: do something.
- 30:04Speaker 6: Jose Alvarado's impact goes way beyond the box score. He's
- 30:08Speaker 6: one of the few people that doesn't look like he's
- 30:11Speaker 6: afraid of Victor wembin Yama. Yeah, and he went to
- 30:13Speaker 6: Christ the King. He's a true New Yorker. Julian Champagne.
- 30:16Speaker 6: On the other side, if Julian CHAMPENNI wanted to prove
- 30:19Speaker 6: that he was a real New Yorker.
- 30:20Speaker 5: He let the Knicks wins for a high school ever,
- 30:24Speaker 5: Price the King put.
- 30:26Speaker 3: It on the ball.
- 30:27Speaker 1: If Champenny wants to prove that he's a true New Yorker,
- 30:31Speaker 1: should he let the Knicks win the NBA Championship.
- 30:36Speaker 3: There is no way.
- 30:36Speaker 6: Like like, if your family member goes into the NBA
- 30:39Speaker 6: most of the time, you would just assume they're gonna
- 30:42Speaker 6: just root for the team that you play for. There
- 30:45Speaker 6: is no way Julian Champagny's family grew up Knicks fans
- 30:48Speaker 6: and are now rooting for the Spurs against the Knicks.
- 30:52Speaker 6: His parents are wearing there. They're Carmelo Anthony and Steve
- 30:56Speaker 6: Novak jerseys.
- 30:57Speaker 3: You think Victor webin Yama's parents grew up Spurs fans.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Do you think someone has a Steve Novak jersey? McCain,
- 31:06Speaker 1: I know McCain, he has everyone's jersey.
- 31:12Speaker 4: I mean his discount double check was good.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Do you have a Langston Galloway jersey?
- 31:17Speaker 6: I would have to check my closet. Douglas, I definitely
- 31:21Speaker 6: have a Tony Douglas jersey. I didn't know that Tony
- 31:24Speaker 6: Douglas and Harry Douglas were brothers.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Huh yeah, athletic family.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Yeah, what do you want me to do with that?
- 31:31Speaker 3: I mean, did you guys know that?
- 31:33Speaker 6: I don't know. I add to the conversation.
- 31:35Speaker 3: I don't know. We do radio. Let's reverse roles here.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Let me throw that dead fish on your lap and
- 31:41Speaker 1: tell me what you would do with it. I didn't
- 31:44Speaker 1: know Harry Douglas and Tony Douglas we're brothers, did you Huh?
- 31:50Speaker 6: I didn't know that, because you would assume Harry Douglas
- 31:53Speaker 6: went to Louisville, Tony Douglas went to Florida State. There
- 31:55Speaker 6: wasn't really much cross over there. You've never really seen
- 31:58Speaker 6: them together. That's how you do radio, baby, or does
- 32:00Speaker 6: it getting exact?
- 32:01Speaker 3: Yeah? But I they have the same last name, siblings
- 32:05Speaker 3: would never go to different schools.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Stud But he's doing this all. Oh, I didn't see him.
- 32:11Speaker 1: I've ever seen him together in the same last name.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Not that shocking, but he didn't.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Do much with it.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I handed him the ball, he didn't do much with it.
- 32:18Speaker 1: He's acting like he did more than I did with it.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Telling me how to do sports radio. I've been doing
- 32:25Speaker 1: sports radio twenty five years around here.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Don't call me Omar.

- 32:51Speaker 1: Thanks to Mike Golik for joining us in that last segment.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Taylor seems to with every passing hour. It seems like
- 32:57Speaker 1: he begins to gather more and more hope than the
- 32:59Speaker 1: Knicks actually gonna get this done. He's starting to get
- 33:02Speaker 1: some color back in his face. I'm starting to see
- 33:04Speaker 1: him smile again. How you feeling, Taylor? How you feeling so?
- 33:08Speaker 6: One of the things I learned from my college days
- 33:11Speaker 6: at North Carolina. Some days on a football field, you
- 33:14Speaker 6: just have to be able to fake it. Right now,
- 33:16Speaker 6: I'm faking it. I'd much rather be part that Central
- 33:19Speaker 6: Park right now on a blanket, crying, crying away. But
- 33:22Speaker 6: that's not any good.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it's such a good. It's such a like.
- 33:25Speaker 4: That's exactly what I was thinking about this.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Earlier today, Taylor. I was like, man, I.
- 33:29Speaker 5: Wonder what it's actually like in his shoes, because you
- 33:31Speaker 5: got to wake up and pretend that that didn't happen
- 33:33Speaker 5: last night. And I'm trying to think of, like, man,
- 33:35Speaker 5: the times that my teams have lost, like in a
- 33:38Speaker 5: really poor fashion that I'm upset with.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Normally, the next day I can just ignore it altogether.
- 33:42Speaker 6: Yes, So the worst thing that happened to me last
- 33:47Speaker 6: night after the game. I'm walking into the car and
- 33:49Speaker 6: I got two sandwiches before the game that I brought
- 33:51Speaker 6: to the bar because it was bring your own food.
- 33:54Speaker 6: I forgot the second sandwich at the bar, left it
- 33:56Speaker 6: in the car.
- 33:57Speaker 3: He left it in the bar. Huh wow, I left
- 33:59Speaker 3: it bar? Yeah, chicken cutlet. What was it?
- 34:02Speaker 6: It was a grilled chicken with mozzarella and pesto sandwich.
- 34:05Speaker 3: And it's probably bad by that point.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Anyway, that's a lot of effort into a sandwich to
- 34:09Speaker 5: leave at a bar man. You could charge thirty brother
- 34:12Speaker 5: that sanwich to New York's very happy with you, right.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Yes, we teased last week.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Somehow I never got back to it, as we tend
- 34:19Speaker 1: to do on this show that bornout. Ricardo has a
- 34:21Speaker 1: list of fifty shows that are better than Breaking Bad.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I can't, so we're gonna do them five at a time. Here,
- 34:26Speaker 1: Mikey's shaking is why are you shaking your head over?
- 34:29Speaker 3: I'm so because I am so mad.
- 34:30Speaker 2: You know what we are in the business of hot takes,
- 34:33Speaker 2: but every hot take we've given has a little bit
- 34:36Speaker 2: of truth behind it.
- 34:37Speaker 3: At least like I believe this in some form of fashion.
- 34:40Speaker 6: There is no way Ricardo thinks that these fifty shows
- 34:43Speaker 6: are better than Breaking Bad.
- 34:44Speaker 4: There's just not because there aren't.
- 34:46Speaker 1: I find it hard to believe there are fifty shows
- 34:48Speaker 1: better than Breaking the ten shows that are better than
- 34:50Speaker 1: Breaking Bad?
- 34:51Speaker 3: Taylor, you just started watching Breaking Bad? Where are you
- 34:54Speaker 3: with this series?
- 34:55Speaker 1: So?
- 34:56Speaker 6: I started at about two weeks ago. I finished it
- 34:58Speaker 6: in about five days. I was watching about seven episodes,
- 35:01Speaker 6: aday just just banging through.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Them, all right? Hard? Would it be inside?
- 35:05Speaker 4: You're I don't have seven hours in a day to
- 35:10Speaker 4: do anything.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Would it be inside? You're just talking behind the microphone?
- 35:13Speaker 1: Would it be would it be inside? Your top ten
- 35:15Speaker 1: all time TV shows?
- 35:18Speaker 6: So I probably haven't watched ten TV shows in my lifetime.
- 35:21Speaker 4: So it does get on out of that. He's too
- 35:24Speaker 4: busy watching sports.
- 35:25Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it's breaking bad in the Sopranos. That's probably
- 35:28Speaker 6: my one and two.
- 35:29Speaker 1: All right, So how do we want to do this?
- 35:31Speaker 1: Do we have music for it? We'll do five at
- 35:33Speaker 1: a time. Bord up Ricardo claims that he has fifty
- 35:37Speaker 1: shows better than what many considered to be the best
- 35:40Speaker 1: show in the history on television, but bored up Ricardo says, no,
- 35:44Speaker 1: it's fifty one on my list.
- 35:46Speaker 3: So we'll count down here from fifty. We'll do it
- 35:48Speaker 3: five at a time.
- 35:49Speaker 1: It's like it's like the Bleacher Reports top one hundred
- 35:52Speaker 1: NBA players of all time. So bordout Ricardo taken away,
- 35:56Speaker 1: I mean, I just how do you get to fifty?
- 36:01Speaker 5: It's a list of the top twenty five players better
- 36:04Speaker 5: than Michael Jordan's.
- 36:07Speaker 3: That's what this is. It is a perfect way to
- 36:09Speaker 3: put it in.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Yes, yes, no, put it on the pole tailor. Is
- 36:13Speaker 1: Breaking Bad the Michael Jordan of TV shows? Because I'm
- 36:16Speaker 1: with Izzy Lebron.
- 36:18Speaker 9: Actually earlier, I was actually talking to my friend about it,
- 36:20Speaker 9: and I said, Breaking Bad is the Alex Smith of
- 36:23Speaker 9: TV shows.
- 36:24Speaker 3: All right, try to replace him, Patrick Mahomes, what average?
- 36:28Speaker 7: Right?
- 36:28Speaker 1: I mean, Andy Reid, you have some nerve? All right,
- 36:31Speaker 1: go ahead, give us number fifty here. This is the
- 36:33Speaker 1: fiftieth be best show according to bordop Ricardo, the fiftieth
- 36:38Speaker 1: show that is better than Breaking Bad.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Golden Girls. Oh, it's a good one. You gotta go
- 36:43Speaker 3: five in a row.
- 36:43Speaker 4: You gotta go five in a row?
- 36:44Speaker 3: Right? Oh? No, no, no it doesn't have to.
- 36:46Speaker 1: I mean we could stop and comment on each Do
- 36:48Speaker 1: you have any quite like follow ups before he starts.
- 36:50Speaker 3: The list here? Or yeah?
- 36:51Speaker 4: Do we have fifty minutes in this segment?
- 36:56Speaker 1: So the first one, number fifty is Golden Girls. There's
- 36:59Speaker 1: no there's no fanfare. Alright, alright, all right, I can't
- 37:07Speaker 1: really just well, it's not better than Breaking Bad, but
- 37:09Speaker 1: it was a good ship.
- 37:10Speaker 4: It's nine percent themes saw way better than Breaking Bad.
- 37:13Speaker 3: I mean the stories on Saint Olaf alone are worth
- 37:16Speaker 3: its own TV show. Number forty nine, Board Out, Rigardo, we.
- 37:20Speaker 9: Got White Lotus on HBO, Get out of Here.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Yea, Taylor's making a face. It's a face he made
- 37:27Speaker 1: when Wemby broke him out of here.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Well, Taylor's never seen it.
- 37:30Speaker 4: He's only seen two TV shows, so he doesn't know.
- 37:33Speaker 3: I have seen White Lotus.
- 37:35Speaker 10: It's it was not better than Break Welcome on because
- 37:37Speaker 10: I always say this about White Lotus, and clearly this
- 37:40Speaker 10: is going to have to be a list that goes
- 37:41Speaker 10: on for weeks because we're not going to get them
- 37:43Speaker 10: all here. But the thing about White Lotus is it's
- 37:45Speaker 10: effectively a limited series every single season, so you can
- 37:49Speaker 10: do something completely different every season.
- 37:51Speaker 3: It's a little unfair on the list, but I definitely
- 37:53Speaker 3: like it all right. Number forty eight, it's not better
- 37:56Speaker 3: than Breaking Bad, though.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I mean, it's not even closed to rewatch Number forty eight, Ricardo,
- 38:01Speaker 1: go ahead, this is outraging all of us.
- 38:03Speaker 4: Go ahead six feet under my first disagreement.
- 38:08Speaker 1: So I'm not disputing that any of these shows are
- 38:10Speaker 1: good shows. I'm just saying they're not better than the
- 38:13Speaker 1: Michael Jordan of TV shows.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Six Feet Under was the first show that I said
- 38:17Speaker 3: to myself, get over yourself.
- 38:19Speaker 2: It is.
- 38:20Speaker 4: It's a little and they're trying too hard.
- 38:22Speaker 3: They're trying too hard. Yeah, all right, it insists upon itself.
- 38:26Speaker 2: There it is.
- 38:26Speaker 9: It was an early prestige TV show. They were still
- 38:29Speaker 9: trying to get their feet under them easy.
- 38:31Speaker 5: The only thing I really remember about that show is
- 38:33Speaker 5: how many people wanted to get the part of the
- 38:36Speaker 5: dead body like that was a huge thing in Hollywood.
- 38:39Speaker 5: I want to play the dead person on six feet under.
- 38:41Speaker 1: The knicks Field six feet under. Right, Now, let's go
- 38:43Speaker 1: to number forty seven. Sorry, Taylor, I'm hurting today. Taylor's
- 38:48Speaker 1: going the other way. He's getting life back in them.
- 38:50Speaker 3: I'm going I God, I'm terrified.
- 38:52Speaker 4: Now, bake it till you make it.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Forty seven Sanford and Son. That's a good show, me, Jesus,
- 38:57Speaker 3: that's a good show. All right. Taylor's never seen half
- 38:59Speaker 3: of the what are we even talking? I've seen any
- 39:02Speaker 3: of these ten? You know what I mean?
- 39:04Speaker 5: Yeah, that couldn't That show couldn't work these days because
- 39:07Speaker 5: his famous lineup, I'm coming Elizabeth would be heard totally
- 39:11Speaker 5: different there.
- 39:11Speaker 3: All right, we'll get to five more tomorrow, but number
- 39:14Speaker 3: forty six.
- 39:15Speaker 1: According to bordop Ricardo, the forty six television show that
- 39:19Speaker 1: is better than Breaking Bad the British Office, So the
- 39:24Speaker 1: office in England says your.
- 39:25Speaker 5: Original if you will h the original is not done
- 39:28Speaker 5: as well. So somewhere on this list, probably in the
- 39:31Speaker 5: top ten, is the American Office. I understand, I.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Don't think so. I mean, all of this, are you know?
- 39:37Speaker 3: I mean all this begs the question have you seen
- 39:40Speaker 3: Breaking Bad? Ricardo?
- 39:41Speaker 4: I have, I have, and kind of mediocre if you
- 39:45Speaker 4: ask me.
- 39:49Speaker 3: We need a good night's sleep and hopefully we'll wake
- 39:51Speaker 3: up in a better mood. I mean, Jesus, The Knicks
