- 0:24That was that was quite the noise there, Kevin.

- 0:31girl. Oh, my goodness.
- 0:36Very nice. OK, That's that's that's what I

- 1:51our TikTok. And yeah, let us begin with some
- 1:57honorable. Mentions.
- 2:01Alright, let's come. On Wait Wait, what was like,
- 2:03what's what's it called? Two people do it at the same
- 2:05time, but a little differently. Harmonizing.
- 2:08Yes, there you go, that's the one.
- 2:11As a sniper, I had no idea what you were going for with that.
- 2:14Drake is musically inclined, so he knew.
- 2:16Yeah, that's fair. I know.
- 2:18Our honorable mentions for her top right wings we've got Marty
- 2:22Neches, Adrian Kempe, Krill Marchenko, Lucas Raymond and Tom
- 2:27Wilson. I wonder if people think we're
- 2:30crazy for putting Marchenko in this honorable mentions because
- 2:32his ADP is still going to be really low.
- 2:34But I mean, last year he was insane out of all these guys.
- 2:38I mean, we're talking about who you'd rather have on our roster
- 2:40of all these guys. I think for me it might.
- 2:43Is it crazy to see more? Check Go.
- 2:46Yeah, it's crazy. I think it's crazy.
- 2:49I think nature is easily easily my.
- 2:51Favorite OK if we talk about nature to be here for the whole
- 2:54hour. Yeah, I mean, also there's
- 2:56something to be said about Tom Wilson as his own archetype,
- 2:59right? Absolutely.
- 3:00Four others are all different. And Tom Wilson is a very
- 3:02specific like Pimm's shots hits guy who also trips in the
- 3:05points. So that's interesting.
- 3:07But yeah, let's say we have to choose one of the five.
- 3:09We know Jake is choosing natures.
- 3:11Kevin, you want you want to do Marchenko?
- 3:14Like how many points does nature get this year?
- 3:1880,000. Billion things getting like,
- 3:20yeah. 82 Conservative or yes 80s too conservative?
- 3:27Yes, I I I think so. I don't know, it's tough because
- 3:33Natures is like the new Rantanen, right, in terms of
- 3:36being Mckinnon's buddy, so I see why Jake's so high on him.
- 3:42I think we're going to be talking like about nature's the
- 3:45same. Way I think everybody's just too
- 3:46low on March. First of all, I will say one
- 3:48thing with this is that he only averaged like 2.5 shots last
- 3:52last year. And so a points guy who doesn't
- 3:55get that many shots, you know, versus like look at like a Kempe
- 3:57who you know he's going to get. I don't see him getting that
- 4:00much less than nachos while also getting 3 plus shots and like a
- 4:03hit. Yeah, I love Marchenko Kevin,
- 4:07but I just think like like you know, campaign like Josh just
- 4:10mentioned and and even you know, Raymond I think is just a safer
- 4:14bet and similar ceilings. I think I think nature is
- 4:17probably safer to get more points, yeah, because I think
- 4:21we're all expecting some regression from these Columbus
- 4:23guys. But I think for value, honestly,
- 4:26like Jimmy Marchenko, because you can get Marchenko way later
- 4:28than you can get nature signatures, is going to be a top
- 4:30five round pick. True cost.
- 4:32It's sick. I love Marchenko.
- 4:34Marchenko had cost like he's in a lot of on a lot of platforms.
- 4:39He's going like pick two 200 + 250 plus.
- 4:43Really. That's way too.
- 4:44Yes, so in most of your drafts we'd be playing with people that
- 4:48know what they're doing and he's gonna be taken away before that
- 4:50is just about who bites the bullet ahead of ADP and where do
- 4:53we let them fall? You have to know your draft
- 4:55room, know your league mates, but I think he's gonna be 1 of
- 4:57the biggest draft day values. Yeah, yeah, agreed.
- 5:00Alright, should we dive in? Yeah #10.
- 5:04At #10 We have Kevin's BFF from last year.
- 5:07Yeah, Seth Jarvis of the Carolina Hurricanes last year
- 5:11you put up .92 points, .26 power play points, 2.8 shots, 1.3 hits
- 5:16and a bunch of shorties too. He was a Shorty king last year.
- 5:20I think he like honestly saved some of my matchups at the end
- 5:23of the season with the shorthanded points.
- 5:25Most people granted don't play in short short handed point
- 5:27leagues. Which, fair enough, it's
- 5:29definitely a niche category, but.
- 5:31He's hate shorties. Yeah, I know.
- 5:34But he's one of those guys that the Rod Curse can't touch him
- 5:37because he's just, I feel like he's a Jack of all trades and he
- 5:41can do it. Infuses to leave any cat
- 5:43untouched, like every night. You know he'll like chipping a
- 5:46little everywhere every night, just consistently.
- 5:49You love to have him on your team, super.
- 5:51Fun deployment is consistent and you're reliable.
- 5:53Like I feel like no matter what happens, he's always going to be
- 5:55on the line that's best performing.
- 5:56He's 1 of Rods guys, so yeah you know, like you said, like the
- 5:59Rods curse doesn't affect him really.
- 6:02Him and Aho, we've mentioned this before, the two guys who
- 6:04kind of like dodged that curse. So yeah, no, I love him at #10.
- 6:08Here and I also love that he's never hit a point game.
- 6:11Like I really think that's amazing.
- 6:13It just feels like he's just he's right there 67 and 73 last
- 6:16year, like if he walks away with and we hate like points guys on
- 6:22Rod's team. So I really don't know if he
- 6:24will but like if he gets even 75 and 82 with the back.
- 6:28Cats love. It I think he gets more points,
- 6:30he did this here than he did last year.
- 6:32I think he can finally hit a point per game, but it's also
- 6:35just like he's shooting three shots a game over one hit a game
- 6:38from a right winger. That's great category.
- 6:41There's like a little mini power forward kind of.
- 6:44Yeah, yeah, for sure. Let's go to. #9.
- 6:50At #9. Can you read this out loud?
- 6:53Yes I will. My BFF from last year Esper Brat
- 6:59JVI TBP it NHL. OK, if you know you know.
- 7:08If you're part of the BRAT Pack like I am, then you know exactly
- 7:11what this acronym means. That was seamless. 0 upward.
- 7:18That's what he was saying, the whole.
- 7:20Year I was saying all year. Last year Kevin was the biggest
- 7:23Brad hater and I just had to stand up for my.
- 7:25Boy, away with this. Last pack is brilliant by the
- 7:28way. I didn't come up with it but I
- 7:30wish I had but. That's OK, you sang that JB,
- 7:34etc. So I'm impressed.
- 7:39You put up 1.09 points per game .42 power play points, 2.2
- 7:43shots, 1.2 hits and Kevin hated on him all year.
- 7:47The the power production could not stay this high.
- 7:49It was like inevitable that I was going to regress and it just
- 7:52didn't. So I mean, listen, I I ate my
- 7:54words last year because. He and you were like he provides
- 7:57no back cats yet he provided over a hit a game.
- 7:59Yeah, but two shots a game from a guy is giving you over a point
- 8:02per game is just like, you don't see that.
- 8:04It's like Robert Thomas, you just expect more.
- 8:08Shares of those those points probably points and hits.
- 8:11Really what carried him was the power play points.
- 8:14And honestly, like I, I definitely am more inclined to
- 8:20admit that he's a good player this year because I mean, to me,
- 8:24it's just like what Panera used to be, you know, it was just
- 8:26like the guy that gets a lot of points but zeros across the
- 8:29board for everything else. So I just don't like having
- 8:31those guys in my roster because the day that he doesn't get a
- 8:33point, you're like, I spent such a high pick on this guy that
- 8:36doesn't contribute to any other categories.
- 8:38But listen, I have to give Brad some credit.
- 8:40Obviously he's a good player and he has such a high ceiling when
- 8:43it comes to points. He's playing with some of the
- 8:45most offensive, offensively gifted players in the league on
- 8:48that New Jersey team. I think he has like a safe floor
- 8:51for points. It's just about how did the
- 8:53categories change this? Because the shooting percentage
- 8:55is pretty low. It doesn't shoot a lot.
- 8:57So it's really just like he's racking up those assists and if
- 8:59the power play regresses to .3 which is still pretty elite
- 9:03instead of .42 like does he hit a point per game is probably be
- 9:08close to that range. Yeah, I mean that's what happens
- 9:10when you get to play with a guy like Jack Hughes, right?
- 9:12Like they're gonna be there together, line one power play 1
- 9:14cues is like very similar stats to Brad had their very involved
- 9:18on like all the same points. And Brad also chips in shorties.
- 9:21So that's another thing. I think he's just great guy to
- 9:25have usually. I mean, I got him 6th around
- 9:27last year though. I think every year that he goes
- 9:30by, he gets, you know, he'll get higher and higher if he keeps
- 9:32putting up these points, but I still think you can get him
- 9:34around four or five. Right, winter.
- 9:37Sorry, I wanted to get that in there.
- 9:45I don't like my opening. Yeah, yeah.
- 9:51OK, nice. It's honestly a great
- 9:54assessment, especially the fact that he's he's just a consistent
- 9:58point guy. I mean, we can expect 80 to 90
- 10:01points from him this year. Everybody's happy with that
- 10:03returns on the value. Is it gonna change his archetype
- 10:06and become more of a shooter though?
- 10:08I don't think so. But you're still happy with
- 10:10these points. It's a great floor so.
- 10:12Would you rather yes, for better Tim Stutzel?
- 10:14Stossel. Jasper Brat or?
- 10:17Clinton think I'm going. I think I'm going.
- 10:19Brat over Stitzel, actually. Another crazy.
- 10:22I don't know, maybe. It's not that crazy.
- 10:24That's definitely. I'm definitely confident in
- 10:26racketing more points in power play points than Stitzel.
- 10:29Volume is honestly not as high as you want.
- 10:31Yeah, I'm doing Brad over. Snacks.
- 10:33Yeah, yeah, I get that. That's.
- 10:36A good question. I just think the power play
- 10:39points are gonna be nuts and. I just think it's fun to see
- 10:42what Auto is gonna do this year and I feel like he's just a more
- 10:45well-rounded player. So that's why I.
- 10:46Think I go about. Well, as your other one, Keller.
- 10:49Keller has a high shot volume. I go brat.
- 10:53I think I go. Keller actually also shot.
- 10:57It's the shots, yeah. Fair fair dot.
- 10:59I can easily be swayed on I feel like.
- 11:01I parked right in the middle. Now barcode for sure.
- 11:04Barkov, Yeah. OK, alright, let's go. 2 All
- 11:08right #8. #8 another one of my pals from last year.
- 11:14Maybe I TBI. We've got Matt Boldy.
- 11:20Actually, I traded Brat for Boldy last year.
- 11:22I mean it was a 2 for two, but they were involved in the trade.
- 11:24You also want to play off schedule.
- 11:26So New Jersey had a terrible playoff schedule.
- 11:27Minnesota. One of the best, yeah.
- 11:29Yeah, it was a lot about the playoff schedule, but yeah, I
- 11:32love me some boldy last year .89 points per game, .26 power play
- 11:36points, 3.3 shots. And he just keeps getting better
- 11:40each year. And he gets to play with a
- 11:42healthy Kaprizov this year. And worried.
- 11:44We all said in our previous Top 10 Left Wings episode that Cap
- 11:48could, you know, is gonna be 100 point plus.
- 11:50He's gonna have a monster year and body is gonna be right on
- 11:53his side, having fun the whole time.
- 11:55Yeah, that's that's massive for his positive regression.
- 11:58And it's not even really regression because he's so young
- 12:00and like, yeah, I mean, he's what he is 24.
- 12:05He was like a former high pick. And I feel like he he's come
- 12:09into his own insofar as like he's always been good, reliable.
- 12:12And I think he could make that jump to not quite a leap for
- 12:16games there. Yeah, I could see that.
- 12:18And if he does that with his shot volume, it's fabulous.
- 12:20You're super, super happy to have him.
- 12:23You guys like him more than I do in general.
- 12:25There is also a chance, of course, that they don't put on
- 12:27the same line because I know bodies dual eligible.
- 12:29But he could play left wing. And if that's the case, then Cap
- 12:32is obviously not going to be. I mean, for a lot of the year
- 12:36they had like Kaprizov playing with, with Zook Zuccarello, but
- 12:42I think towards the end of last year they moved boldly with the
- 12:44with Kaprizov. And that's where I would expect
- 12:46them to play together. And at the very least, we'll be
- 12:48together. Play 1.
- 12:49I think the biggest thing that we're gonna see that really
- 12:52increases Bally's value this year is the power play
- 12:54production. I think the power play gets
- 12:56significantly better this year. We saw they were kind of
- 12:58struggling when they were rotating who the defence was
- 13:00gonna be on that on that unit, and they didn't have to present
- 13:03for a large part of the season as well.
- 13:04And then you add like 2 better offensive guys on that on the
- 13:08power play and I think we see his.
- 13:12What did you say was .2? .26. .26 I can see it being like
- 13:16a .32 this year, you know what I mean?
- 13:18And I think he takes a jump. His shot volume is already elite
- 13:22when it's over over 3.2. I can see him being like around
- 13:263 value next year and and just being like one of those guys
- 13:29that you know you consider at the 2 three turn or in the
- 13:32middle of the third round. Hmm I I see him going around 4
- 13:37but um but I wouldn't hate him and round next.
- 13:39Year. Are you saying next?
- 13:41Year, yeah, I see. Next year, this year I think
- 13:43it's probably gonna go. I mean depends how deep your
- 13:46league is obviously, but round 4 is probably the the median
- 13:49outcome. Yeah.
- 13:52I think, I think, I wonder if the only thing that is in the
- 13:55back of my mind is do does this Minnesota first line need an
- 13:59elite centre to finally have everybody hit their ceilings?
- 14:03Or is that just not a question? I think Rossi or Erickson Eck
- 14:07are both good enough. I think the elite person is
- 14:09Kaprizov. He doesn't need and Boldis right
- 14:12there, like OK, not right there with him, but bullies are
- 14:14really, really good player. You know, you if you have two
- 14:16wingers like that, you just need an OK centre, you know, like and
- 14:20Rossi and Merck are both serviceable enough as a first
- 14:22and centre that I don't think that's gonna be hamper them in
- 14:25any way. Are you worried at all that body
- 14:27doesn't play with Kaprizov? Yeah, I think that.
- 14:31Would be does that significantly affect his points?
- 14:34It would, yeah, but I don't know.
- 14:36If I think bold is good enough to drive his own line first of
- 14:38all. Yeah, I don't know if you're.
- 14:40Obviously I'd rather him play with Kaprizov though.
- 14:42If you have the guarantee that he plays with Caprice of all
- 14:45year, like obviously his ADP won't change, but this is a
- 14:48hypothetical. Do you pick him in the second
- 14:50round? No, no secondary.
- 14:52Too early for him. Yeah, but like he, he'll be at
- 14:55the end of the third round, I think.
- 14:56Yeah, it's gonna be a late 3rd, early 4th I think, and I think
- 15:01it's me. I see him playing with Kaprizov
- 15:03the whole time. Yeah, it feels high.
- 15:05I don't know if ADP is gonna actually be there.
- 15:07I feel like it's gonna be. I'm also talking like 14 person
- 15:11link. Yeah, that's how deep our league
- 15:13is. But the reason why I'm worried
- 15:16is because we don't we, we've never seen Zuccarello play on
- 15:19the left wing. So he's like stable right wing
- 15:23and then I can tear a single play on the left.
- 15:27I think so. That's the, that's the question,
- 15:31right? But then you have.
- 15:32It'll be either zuccarello on that first line or boldly on
- 15:34that first line. I don't think he's gonna
- 15:36necessarily be playing with Boldly outside of power play, to
- 15:39be honest. I think it's more of a.
- 15:42Question. A big question mark.
- 15:44I think it's a question mark, but I think he has a talent to
- 15:46make up for the value. It's kind of like a Brandon
- 15:48Hagel, right? Like even if he's not on P1, he
- 15:49can still be so successful. But I think Bully already has
- 15:53the power play secured. I think he's the second best
- 15:56player on this team so. In my mind, Baldy is definitely
- 15:59playing line one with Kaprizov, but obviously it's possible that
- 16:03he doesn't. It's not one of those like it's
- 16:05set in stone type of things, but I definitely say more likely
- 16:08than not, they're gonna play together.
- 16:10All right, let's go to. #7. Alright at #7 we have Willy
- 16:17Stiles. William Nylander of the Toronto
- 16:20Maple Leafs last year put up 1.02 points, .37 power play
- 16:25points, 3.1 shots. I feel like he was so good.
- 16:30I feel like he was low key last year.
- 16:32I feel like nobody was really talking about Nylander.
- 16:34Last year was always, you know, Matthews Marner, and he just
- 16:37kind of like did his thing, a point per game.
- 16:39I kind of expected more points from him to be honest, but we
- 16:43just have. The points are sick and the
- 16:45shots are great. Exactly.
- 16:46We know he's getting at least a point per game.
- 16:47We know he's getting over three shots a game and we know the
- 16:50power play is gonna be usually one of the best, so.
- 16:52Well, the big question is how is the loss of Mariner gonna affect
- 16:55him? I think it boosts him with
- 16:58anything. Really.
- 17:00Yeah, I see they're probably getting worse.
- 17:02I see they're probably getting worse.
- 17:03I don't see how it could get better.
- 17:05So he got .37 power play points last year per game.
- 17:08Let's say that drops down to .3 and then the big thick question
- 17:12is even strength if he gets bumped up to play line one with
- 17:16Matthews and knives. Fully agree that's a great move
- 17:18for him. But I could very well see him
- 17:20sticking with the various. They like having that like 2
- 17:22strong lines. And in that case his even
- 17:25strength hasn't changed in his power play just got worse so I
- 17:28don't see why he would have. Why he?
- 17:29Would benefit him. I think the loss of Marner gives
- 17:32him more responsibility to, you know, be a, you know, point
- 17:35together on this team because they can't rely on on Marner
- 17:39anymore, right? So I think there's just opens up
- 17:41more possibilities for him to be involved in terms of like they
- 17:44need him, whether he like he thrives in that situation or
- 17:47not. Like there's no more money was
- 17:50hogging all the blame when things were going wrong.
- 17:53Now it feels like, you know, that reasoning, that reason or
- 17:56excuse is out of the question. If if stuff doesn't go well,
- 17:59it's gonna be on Matthews and it's gonna be on the under.
- 18:00You know what I love about Nylander though?
- 18:02There's 22 week things. One passport.
- 18:06Yeah, OK, three things. One that most importantly,
- 18:08second past four years he's played 81 games four years ago,
- 18:13then 828282. That's awesome.
- 18:16I know we can't really predict like if injuries happen
- 18:18necessarily that their injury prone, but there is something to
- 18:21be said in this Iron Man like so if you knew Phil Kessel was
- 18:24going to play every game, same same with Keith Yandell.
- 18:26It feels like Nylander shaping up to be that guy, which is
- 18:30really, really good because it's just easy to draft.
- 18:33And remember in the playoffs, I think it was two years ago, they
- 18:37were on the bench. Like I can't believe we're
- 18:39losing again, blah. Like Marner was almost in tears
- 18:42and then Neil Lander looks at me like stop effing crying.
- 18:47Focus. I was like, alright, this guy's
- 18:49got it, you know? He is, yeah, one of the like,
- 18:52Core 4 who doesn't disappear in the playoffs, so.
- 18:55Yeah, I. Feel showing that he could step.
- 18:56Up in like and if he does that, I mean, I think he could get I
- 19:01think this could be his first hundred point year and it's not
- 19:05so crazy because 98 two years ago.
- 19:07So I actually think it may boost him.
- 19:09I see why obviously it makes sense for him to be on that.
- 19:13And by the way, if he does succeed, like I don't think
- 19:16they're going to put Nyes, Matthews and Nylander on the
- 19:18same line. I think it's going to be too top
- 19:20heavy. So then that noise goes down to
- 19:22the virus, which may not be much worse for him than for for
- 19:26Matthews. So I think those 4 all have a
- 19:28very safe value. And Neil Anders gonna like, OK,
- 19:32hundreds a lot, but probably like, I'd estimate 90 points
- 19:36this year. I think the biggest thing we saw
- 19:38when you learned last year though is his shot volume
- 19:40significantly decreased from the previous year.
- 19:42Last year he was at 3.09. The year before that was at
- 19:453.85. That's almost one shot less a
- 19:48game in the span of one season. His points also did from like
- 19:511.22023 to 1.02, 2024. So I think overall, we kind of
- 19:56saw him take a step back in terms of his overall production
- 19:58and didn't really feel that way because he was delivering on a
- 20:01consistent basis. But we know that he has a
- 20:03certain higher floor to him. And I think now with the extra
- 20:07responsibility and the less mouths to feed, let's say, quote
- 20:09UN quote, he can grow into that player that delivers more.
- 20:14Obviously that's why he's still at #7 though, right?
- 20:16Yes, so both you and I are higher on Marner lists and
- 20:19Josh's lower on. I'm higher on the leaves in
- 20:23general Marner lists. I feel like I'm, from what I'm
- 20:25seeing on social media and whatever, I feel like
- 20:27everybody's like knocking them down like twofold or like 100
- 20:31points, 50 points, you know, like Martyr was like the best
- 20:33player ever and making sure everybody else succeeded.
- 20:35Apparently. I still think you're good
- 20:37players, that. Will, I'm like, I don't think
- 20:40it's gonna be like A2 folded drop or anything like that.
- 20:42In terms of Nylander specifically, he's still easily
- 20:44gonna be a point per game and he's gonna be 3 plus shots.
- 20:46I do think he's gonna take a hit in the power play points
- 20:48department. I think that whole team is.
- 20:50I mean, you're going from Marner to Morgan Riley or to another
- 20:54forward, you know, like you can't convince me that the power
- 20:57play is not taking a big hit there.
- 20:59You're losing 100 plus point guy on the power play.
- 21:02I I get that that makes a lot of sense.
- 21:05Like. What's what's the point
- 21:07threshold that you make a bet Josh like you think is 85?
- 21:12Nylander's gonna easily be point per game, so I'm, I'm, yeah, I
- 21:14think he's gonna hit 85. There's no way in my mind he's
- 21:17hitting 100. No, I don't think 100.
- 21:20I think I think 90. That's the ceiling.
- 21:22But I think 90 was. 808787 and a half over under.
- 21:27No, because that's right around or I think like it could it
- 21:30could end up not know about the over under there.
- 21:32OK. But I'll say like I don't expect
- 21:34him to put similar points up to last year with just fewer power
- 21:37play points. Yeah, well, I don't think this
- 21:40is beer about worthy because we're all sort of in the same
- 21:42range. We could definitely find some
- 21:44beer betting later though, so let's move on to.
- 21:47What should I give one? Would you rather cross position?
- 21:51Sure, William? William Nylander or Panarin?
- 21:57Panarin. OK.
- 21:59Leander Forsberg. Now you had Waterford, but
- 22:03Forsberg. Alright, number six.
- 22:06Wow, OK at #6 we've got Tage Thompson, the alliteration King
- 22:12of Buffalo. Last year you put up a .95
- 22:17points, .21 power play points, and 3.2 shots on goal.
- 22:22And also noteworthy to mention, he had 4.6% higher shooting
- 22:27percentage than his career average at 18.2 last year.
- 22:31He's so tall. Yeah.
- 22:33Yeah, enough said. Alright, next SO.
- 22:37I remember when I picked him up like 3 years ago and he was like
- 22:40triple eligible like centre left.
- 22:41Yeah, that was that was insane. What's up?
- 22:44Every time we talk about teach. One of my best pickups ever.
- 22:48Yeah, honestly, I like, I think he belongs where he is here, but
- 22:54that points that shooting discrepancy is scary.
- 22:58I will say though that I think the shoot that one is more a
- 23:01case of him just shooting less but getting the same amount of
- 23:04goals, if that makes sense. So because of that, the
- 23:06percentage goes up because in the past is like flirted with
- 23:09four shots on goal per game and last year was at 3.2.
- 23:11So I see it as more of him just having shot less last year while
- 23:14somehow maintaining the same goals.
- 23:16Yeah, as opposed to him over scoring for the shots he was
- 23:20taking. Can Buffalo not suck?
- 23:24Is there a chance like? Honestly because I feel like
- 23:26their management is awful. I know, but like like just like
- 23:30roster wise, like it's it's not that bad.
- 23:34It does not. Mean trading away any of their
- 23:36good players. Yeah, they just, they lost
- 23:38Peterka, they lost Cousins, they got Norris, but he's gonna be
- 23:42injured for half the year. So, like, I don't know, it's
- 23:45tough. I mean, I don't think Thompson
- 23:47needs Buffalo to be good for him to be good.
- 23:48Him and Darlene could just be like miserable Bros together who
- 23:51like, hit points for game and have like, you know, value.
- 23:54But yeah, no, I mean, it's crazy.
- 23:56Just year after year. What's their drought out now for
- 23:58playoffs? Is it 13 years?
- 23:59So yeah, I'm scared For what? They're asking man, sorry.
- 24:05I'm scared for what they're author looks like because, you
- 24:07know, like Josh Norris is obviously we know he has like
- 24:11he's a talented player, just if he can stay healthy and and be
- 24:13on the ice. But like I can see Jason Zucker
- 24:15and Alex talking traded before the trade deadline.
- 24:17Two teams that are, you know, competing and then who who is he
- 24:21playing with? Like the centres on this team,
- 24:23it's Josh Norris, Yuri Coolidge and Ryan McLeod.
- 24:26Like you're not writing home about any of these guys there.
- 24:28I wouldn't say there's any Josh Norris, maybe the only two C
- 24:32like level kind of player. The rest are like 3C kind of
- 24:35guys. And then you got Zach Benson,
- 24:37Jason Zucker and Alex Talk rounding out the winners of the
- 24:39of the top 6. Like literally just take.
- 24:41Just a weak team. This is a weak team.
- 24:44I still love Taja. I think he he can hit fifty
- 24:46goals this season is just. How can be tough with that that
- 24:50surrounding cast? Though.
- 24:51I know, but have you ever watched Tage play a game and see
- 24:55him score a hatrick live? No, I have.
- 24:57This guys insane. Did we mention how tall he is?
- 25:02Call. Said it before, but he's super
- 25:05tall. I I, I love him.
- 25:07I really want him on my fantasy team.
- 25:08I feel like I always try to trade for him when I don't have
- 25:10him. Yeah, but yeah.
- 25:12What's a good round for anything round 3?
- 25:14I think he's around 3 player is the power play.
- 25:17That's really a big question for me.
- 25:18I think we saw Buffalo probably be a little bit better last year
- 25:21and that's what we saw. You know the the points.
- 25:24It's not something you count on, right?
- 25:25I know, I know. That's why it's scary.
- 25:27Like I would not be surprised if you have a bottom 10 power play
- 25:29next year, so. Yeah, sad times in Buffalo, but
- 25:33tapes those is sick. Yeah, yeah, he deserves a beer.
- 25:37OK, let's go to #5. At #5 the much talked about
- 25:44Mikko Rantanen of the Colorado no Dallas Stars.
- 25:50No. For now, until the next three
- 25:53team trade or whatever happens the last year put up 1.07 points
- 25:57.32 power play points, 2.6 shots on goal per game.
- 26:02What a wild year for Rantanen last year.
- 26:04Seriously. Just throw all the numbers out
- 26:07the window and start from scratch when it comes to him
- 26:09this year because I have no idea what to expect.
- 26:11Like we saw, you know, regular season ranting in after post
- 26:14Colorado B like up and down. We saw postseason Renton and be
- 26:19was a monster. Yeah, it was the same.
- 26:22Where does he fall? Somewhere in the knockout, his
- 26:24old team was just like, you can't make that up.
- 26:28Yeah, The biggest thing right is where, where do you draft it?
- 26:31Because is he still a first round player or does he take a
- 26:33significant dip? Like is he second?
- 26:35Round and 3rd look like in context for people, I mean, no
- 26:39one has this short of a memory, you know, But like as early as
- 26:42last year he was being drafted what, like 9th overall, even
- 26:45early like that, like, yeah. And people were like excited
- 26:48like that was a good that was the right pick.
- 26:49You know, like he was the classic.
- 26:51Like we were talking like earlier about that kind of
- 26:54cluster of like the Pasta Matthews, you know, like those
- 26:58guys, my car or whatever. Like Rantanen was right in that
- 27:00conversation. And then he gets traded, has an
- 27:03awful showing in Carolina, goes to Dallas, plays a bit better,
- 27:06then has a great playoffs. And it's just like, where does
- 27:09this guy go? I see him going really round
- 27:11too. Yeah, really.
- 27:14What do you think? Would you?
- 27:15Take it over there. I don't think I'm taking him in
- 27:17the second round. That's why I see him going.
- 27:21Are think I take him mid to late second round, not early.
- 27:26It's way too volatile. Like, I have no idea.
- 27:29I mean, like we was playing with McKinnon and McKinnon really
- 27:32brings out the best in, you know, his, his.
- 27:35Same reason you're so high on natches.
- 27:37Literally though, like that's it and this team is just loaded.
- 27:40The thing with Dallas is like, I don't see it being impossible if
- 27:45he ends up on like power play too, like.
- 27:47No, there's no, no, there's no way.
- 27:49Listen with Robertson and Haskin and Tyler Sagan like they may
- 27:53just switch things up and it's not power play 2 like
- 27:55necessarily. It would just be a 1B or 1A as
- 27:58opposed to a clear 1. He should be the number one
- 28:00offensive guy on this team. That's an amazing team that's
- 28:03probably gonna lead the NHL in goals for if he is the
- 28:06centerpiece of that. I mean, all signs point to this
- 28:09being amazing. It's just like, look, crazier
- 28:11things have happened, truly and. I guess the big thing is that
- 28:15like, why take the risk at that point, right?
- 28:18That's what I'm saying. I just don't like it there.
- 28:20But I was, yeah. Take him like if he falls to the
- 28:22late second round, like yeah. Rather Marner.
- 28:25Marner I was just thinking that. Yeah, I'd go Warner.
- 28:29Also changed teams and we don't have the luxury of seeing him in
- 28:32play games with that team yet. And we saw ranting, and I mean,
- 28:36the last time we saw him play for Dallas was in the playoffs,
- 28:38and he was a beast, right? So I would go around and sorry,
- 28:42good morning, over, around and yeah.
- 28:45Yeah, and that's no Connor. Yeah, Kyle Conner.
- 28:49I'm thinking ranting in over Connor.
- 28:50I. Could be crazy though.
- 28:53I would. This is like the worst decision
- 28:55for me. I don't know who to choose.
- 28:57I would also. I think I have to go Rantanen.
- 29:00And then I would take it's hard to that line feels like it could
- 29:04be like a 123. That's me.
- 29:08It's hard to forget the fact that Ranson was like a pick 7,
- 29:12seven overall guy for every year and.
- 29:14He was breaking 100 points. He was breaking 100 points
- 29:16every. Year.
- 29:16Yeah. So it's like, so like part of
- 29:19you is like, OK, there was this huge change of scenery that
- 29:21changes its value and another part of you is like, OK, but
- 29:23maybe I'm getting a steal in the second round of just a second
- 29:26first round pick, you know, So it's it's really tough with
- 29:29Rantanen. If you believe Renton gets 95
- 29:31points, you pick him in the second round.
- 29:33If you believe he's more now he's more of like an 85 point
- 29:35player, then he falls to the third and that's kind of like
- 29:39where my mind is at is just like, do you have conviction on
- 29:41him actually like producing at that level?
- 29:43Fact is that Dallas isn't amazing team and I do expect him
- 29:46to be the best forward on that team.
- 29:49I agree there's also that's just.
- 29:51The fact of like the too many mouths to feed that we talk
- 29:53about all the time, right? So it's like, yeah, like you
- 29:56have essentially 3 full lines of four words who are gonna get
- 29:58points. Yeah.
- 30:01It's a tough one. Yeah, but we have him at #5 So.
- 30:06Yeah, yeah. Alright. #4 at #4 we've got Sam.
- 30:12I am Reinhart of the Florida Panthers.
- 30:16Honestly, some of these are just pulling out of my last year he
- 30:21put up. One of your one points.
- 30:25My a word as Kevin would say, 1.03 points .38 power play
- 30:30points, 2.7 shots, 1.3 hits and a bunch of shorties.
- 30:36Him and Mark are to short the Shorty duo.
- 30:39Yeah, I always go up against these guys in the first week of
- 30:43the season and they always put up ridiculous short ending
- 30:45points against me. Like last year I went up against
- 30:47Ryan Hart like week 1 and he had a four goal game including I
- 30:51think 2 short handed points and I was just sitting there like
- 30:54welcome back to fantasy I guess. Which wishes he was this short.
- 31:00Yeah, I mean, Reinhardt, I feel like he was.
- 31:03He was like the Marchenko before Marchenko, right?
- 31:06Like out of nowhere, you kind of don't know what to expect.
- 31:08New team, he blows up in value. He's playing with one of the
- 31:11best centres in the league. And then you're like, OK, you
- 31:13can't keep it up. And then the next year he keeps
- 31:14it up. So you're like, OK, I guess this
- 31:16is just kind of what we have to expect right now.
- 31:18Last year he was like so high on my avoid list.
- 31:20I was like, it's, it was a one year thing.
- 31:23He's never done anything like that before.
- 31:25And then he just goes and does it again and I'm like, you know
- 31:26what? Alright, you convinced me.
- 31:29Yeah, I like it. I like the fact that his hits
- 31:31are so low key. Yeah.
- 31:33So they are, you know, like it's not make it or break it in a
- 31:35week for you, but like that's gonna help.
- 31:37I mean. Yeah, it's just like a nice
- 31:38little. Video game.
- 31:39It's kind of like Matthews with the blocks.
- 31:41Yeah, kind of. He's he's obviously an elite
- 31:45player. There's no, I mean, two years
- 31:47ago he was significantly better than last year and last year he
- 31:50was still really good. Like you, you take him because
- 31:54he's one of the centerpieces on that amazing team, similar to
- 31:58rats. And then I would say, I think
- 31:59Brandon actually does have a higher ceiling, I think, but I'm
- 32:03much more at ease picking Reinhart.
- 32:05The thing with with Reinhart is I, I feel like he's due for some
- 32:08like negative regression in terms of his points.
- 32:11I can see him being a player that this year maybe doesn't
- 32:16hit, you know, 90 points and it's more like in between that
- 32:19like 80s to. He was 81 and 79 last year.
- 32:23Two years ago he was 94 with 57 goals.
- 32:27That that's fine. Like that's like where I'm like,
- 32:30OK, I guess he regressed to last year.
- 32:32You know what I mean? Like that to me makes more
- 32:33sense. I see him more as like a 35 to
- 32:3640 goal player and like between 40 to 50 assists.
- 32:42And it's just like the shots the shots are are really good.
- 32:45He's really gonna shorted as well.
- 32:47I think that's why he's ranked really high in in shorties
- 32:49leagues, yeah. That's a massive 1.
- 32:52Where do you take him second round?
- 32:54Yeah, he's a second round guy. Yeah.
- 32:57Yeah, I I would take him higher than mountain.
- 32:59And this is definitely like, yeah, I'm at ease with this.
- 33:02You know, we didn't agree on everything, but I feel like this
- 33:04is like a a pretty sound place. The reason why it's so high is
- 33:09the next guy, the power play volume is also really high and
- 33:11that's kind of one of the reasons why Crazy Elite compared
- 33:15to the other players. Quote UN quote, only a point per
- 33:18game, but it feels like all those points are on a special
- 33:20team. It's either like a PowerPoint or
- 33:22a Shorty. He was like, he's always gets
- 33:24like the most fantasy value out of everything he does.
- 33:27Like we just talked about Tage as like 2 right wings before him
- 33:30and Reinhart could double him in power play points which is yeah,
- 33:34crazy to think about right? Like, I mean pretty much did
- 33:36last year. Yeah, yeah.
- 33:37So that's why he's so elite and you want him on your fantasy
- 33:41team. Yeah, OK.
- 33:44Let's move on to the next. #3 We've talked about them.
- 33:48At #3 We've got Mitch Marner, the alliteration king of the
- 33:52Vegas Golden Knights. There's so.
- 33:56Many of these are only Marvel characters.
- 33:58You know how Marvel cars always have the same letter of the?
- 34:00First name like that's. I never noticed the time I
- 34:03started doing this bit but it's actually crazy.
- 34:06Exactly. That last year, 1.26 points per
- 34:11game .41 power play points, 2.1 shots, just crazy crazy points
- 34:17and power play points. I think everybody's really
- 34:20excited about Marner this year. It feels like all the people
- 34:22that were haters on the leaves are now truthers on Vegas.
- 34:25Yeah. Do you think that do you think
- 34:28he could somehow get better? You know, like.
- 34:30I think he could somehow get better, but honestly it it just,
- 34:34I think it's probably more of the same.
- 34:36And if it's very rare for for us to like look at a player and
- 34:39have a complete change of scenery and, and, and not be
- 34:42worried about like their deployment.
- 34:44I feel there's always like that itch in the back of your mind.
- 34:46That's what if he's like very different on this team.
- 34:50But when Mari have no worries, I feel like he's such an elite
- 34:52player and playmaker that he's gonna be playing with elite
- 34:55talent as well. I expect only good things.
- 34:58He's a mid to early second round pick and if you stack them with
- 35:04Jack Eichel, I mean, everybody's been talking about that.
- 35:06I think that would be really fun.
- 35:08Yeah, yeah. It's just like you swapped, you
- 35:10swapped Matthews for Eichel, you know.
- 35:12Yeah, that's like, feels like a pretty lateral move.
- 35:14They're both amazing players. And The thing is, like you said,
- 35:17Marner, it's not like he's just been mooching off the good
- 35:20players playing with, he's a good player in his own right.
- 35:22So he's gonna be fine. He's gonna, you know, it's also
- 35:25hard to project him doing better when he's already playing at
- 35:28such an elite level, you know? So I think saying he's going to
- 35:30be pretty much the same as a as a safe bet.
- 35:33It does feel very obvious that part of the problem was the
- 35:35media attention. You know, yeah, that's a big
- 35:38thing that he's just not gonna have to deal with in Vegas.
- 35:40I mean, he was getting like this family was getting dogs, like
- 35:42they're getting stalked. Like there was some crazy stuff.
- 35:44Going on, yeah, like that won't happen.
- 35:46Like you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah.
- 35:48It's just not like that hockey is like a big thing for them.
- 35:52Obviously since they came into the league, they're hyped
- 35:55franchise about it, but it's just not as big of a deal for
- 35:57them as it is for the least. And I feel like this is exactly
- 36:00the headspace he needed to get away from to I guess really it's
- 36:04affected it mainly in the playoffs season, even though
- 36:06point per game last year was not bad last season 102 and 81 is
- 36:10amazing. He's pretty resilient injury
- 36:12wise. His biggest weakness is shots.
- 36:16We don't usually see guys that are this elite that are, you
- 36:19know, hover around 100 points and and only shoot barely at 2A
- 36:23game. I call, though, isn't as much of
- 36:27A only goal scorer as Matthews is, You know what I mean?
- 36:32So there may be more of like giving Marner the opportunity to
- 36:34shoot more. I wouldn't be surprised.
- 36:36I would like to see that in this game because I think if he can
- 36:39reach, you know, get to that 2.5 to closer to three threshold, I
- 36:42think that'd be wonders for his value.
- 36:44I just wanna maybe he gets less assists and more goals, but it's
- 36:47harder to get goals. So there's a world where, you
- 36:49know he gets five more goals but 15 less assists or.
- 36:51Something I mean at that point like you take his exact stats
- 36:54from last year and you add like an extra shot that makes him
- 36:58like a top ten pick, right? Yeah, yeah, 102 points and, and
- 37:03what would that be like 250 shots like?
- 37:05That like that yeah like, yeah like why why not why that that
- 37:09type of players at top 10 picks so you know if something like
- 37:12that happens like Michael is you know he is a good passer as well
- 37:16so. I don't know.
- 37:17I can see Mourner getting like, you know, he got 27 goals last
- 37:20year. Could he hit 30 this year and
- 37:22get the 70 assists and 100 points?
- 37:26I think that's, I feel like an average outcome for what we
- 37:29have, what we know Monitor can do and who he's playing with.
- 37:32Yeah. And if the power plays still
- 37:35good or elite like ceiling is even higher, sure.
- 37:38For sure it's a good it's a good team for fantasy players value.
- 37:42Definitely. Yeah, alright. #2. #2 We have
- 37:48David Pasternak of the Boston Bruins.
- 37:52Last year he put up 1.29 points .28 power play points, 3.9
- 37:56shots. He is.
- 37:59Is he the best shooter in the league?
- 38:02Probably second to McKinnon. Yeah, yeah.
- 38:06And I agree with that. Yeah, we we gave like a decent
- 38:09assessment even on the left wings episode, just because
- 38:11Pasternak is everywhere. He's, I think we should might as
- 38:13well talk about both Russians together, right?
- 38:16He's not. Russian.
- 38:19Last year, nobody remembers, only me.
- 38:27Actually, no, I do. That was really funny.
- 38:29Yeah, Pasternak's great. And it's funny because I feel
- 38:33like all the good playoff schedules from last year are the
- 38:35bad ones this year and vice versa.
- 38:37One of the things was like, we talked about Pasternak less
- 38:40favorably a little bit because he didn't have that player.
- 38:43Now he has a four for four. Yeah, he's the best player
- 38:45schedule. It's massive.
- 38:47And even though he is, I don't even know if you would say
- 38:51talismanic, because it's not like Boston was so good, but
- 38:55he's good. You would say talismanic for
- 38:57sure. Kevin, would you use the word?
- 38:59Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I love it.
- 39:02I don't think it matters at Boston sucks, which I still
- 39:04think they do. We love Geeky cuz he's gonna be
- 39:06playing with Pasta. I I'm still low on them as a
- 39:10team, but very high on him as a fantasy player.
- 39:13When it comes to pasta, I think we have to ask 2 questions.
- 39:16Are we worried about Boston being bad and does that affect
- 39:19his value? And Rose or Alfredo, Sorry.
- 39:24Let me at least get to it. And rose hair.
- 39:26Off it now. Alfredo, obviously.
- 39:31Josh Josh is a slut for Alfredo but.
- 39:33Yeah. He loves.
- 39:34Alfredo, Yeah. That's a pasta too, but.
- 39:40Yeah, Alfredo's. This guy invented that.
- 39:44Have you, have you, have you ever seen those videos or just
- 39:47like, Oh yeah, man, I was in the bathroom blowing smoke or
- 39:49whatever. The guy walks into the library
- 39:52like, oh hey, smoker. God.
- 39:58Anyways, back to hockey. I think, I think we've already
- 40:04discussed Pasta and where you're drafting him in the first round.
- 40:07If you've listened to the left wings episode, if you, if you
- 40:09listen to the centre episode, we've we've talked about it
- 40:12there. We'll talk about it here for a
- 40:13little bit. But he's a guaranteed top seven
- 40:16pick. It feels like top 7 picking
- 40:19bangers leagues for sure. You know where you're getting.
- 40:21I feel like every year he's arguably one of the most
- 40:23reliable players. Let's not forget though, he had
- 40:25a rough start last year. It wasn't.
- 40:27It definitely wasn't sunshines and rainbows, but.
- 40:30The first time in the last few years that he's had us like a
- 40:33slow start to the season. And yeah, he's like every time.
- 40:36I'm always trying to buy low on him.
- 40:37I did it one year actually. I did buy low on him.
- 40:39It was crazy. Flip it was, Yeah.
- 40:42Troy, Terry and Al and that's it.
- 40:46Yeah, pretty. Much.
- 40:48Good time is consistent from the from the get go.
- 40:50This is massive so like don't it's true that the the slow
- 40:53start is kind of a part of his game teams, which is annoying,
- 40:58but it's like when he turns it on like he's just insane so.
- 41:03We believe in the coaching staff.
- 41:05I don't think it matters the guy like pasta.
- 41:07I think this is the one, the one thing, the one unit that I've
- 41:10seen for Boston in like a decade.
- 41:12That's the one thing I was gonna say is that I'm worried about
- 41:15the power play points because like you're picking these guys
- 41:18like top like 7 picks. Like you said, you expect a lot
- 41:22of power play production along with the points, you know, and I
- 41:24think that you guys are saying you're not worried about how bad
- 41:26Boston is going to be, you know, in terms of Pasta, like overall.
- 41:29And I agree because he's just that good of a player.
- 41:32But one player, you know, is not enough to make the whole power
- 41:35play good. It definitely helps, but uh, but
- 41:37if he's surrounded by kind of like mediocrity, then I think is
- 41:40probably going to take a dip. They were only like .28 last
- 41:42year. Yeah, so.
- 41:43If you if you look at 2023, he scored 110 points, 35 power play
- 41:47points. 2024 is what, 106 points, 23 power play points, 4
- 41:52less points, 12 less power play points.
- 41:55So we still kind of like bridges the gap even though the power
- 41:58play is weaker. I can see him hovering around 23
- 42:00power play points. Again, like he played a full
- 42:01season. He played 82 games.
- 42:02Yeah. 23, probably between 20 and 25, which feels like it's
- 42:08David Pasternak, like you have to expect more from that, but he
- 42:11still breaks 100 so. Yeah.
- 42:14It's tough. Yeah, it is.
- 42:16It is. He's #2 for a reason.
- 42:19His shot volume is just insane on I feel like any year he can
- 42:22be the strongest shooter in the league.
- 42:24For sure, for sure. OK, number one, Yeah. #1A member
- 42:32of a trade between Jackie and Kevin last year.
- 42:35We both want to trade. Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay
- 42:40Lightning last year he put up 1.55 points .59 power play
- 42:45points and 3.4 shots on goal. He is the clear 4th overall
- 42:51pick. I think we all agree on that
- 42:52pretty much for mostly formats. He's the last layer than this to
- 42:55your. Might even be able to argue him
- 42:57over dry seidel at. Just because he's he has that
- 43:00point difference that like I don't think Pasternak has this
- 43:04feeling like it's like it's great and awesome.
- 43:07But exactly. But I've been playing with
- 43:10points, playing with Denzel and Hagel Hedman.
- 43:13It's just such a good surrounding cast with probably
- 43:16the best fantasy hockey coach have so to me, like that's why I
- 43:22have him as like a tear break over.
- 43:24He's won the Art Ross the last two years.
- 43:26Pasternak. Yeah.
- 43:28You know, and he scored 121 points last year, 144 the year
- 43:31prior. Like we know he's gonna be one
- 43:34of the best in the league. They're on one of the best power
- 43:36plays in the league. Like it's it's ridiculous.
- 43:38It's one of the most reliable things you can bet on Kucherov
- 43:41being an elite power play production player and being a
- 43:45shoe in for the art Ross. So.
- 43:47I was impressed looking at his shots on goal too.
- 43:49You know, like I don't know why in my mind I viewed him as this
- 43:52guy who was getting like ridiculous points but not doing
- 43:54the most back at twice. But 3.4 shots is amazing.
- 43:57I'm so amazing that. It's elite.
- 43:59There is definitely a question for him over Dry saddle.
- 44:02I just feel like Seattle has, you know, especially if you're
- 44:05playing in category leagues that have faceoff wins like always,
- 44:08that's a huge tiebreaker. Dries Out has the dual
- 44:11eligibility, which is a big help as well in terms of like fitting
- 44:14players into your lineup. But Kucherov is if he's not 4,
- 44:18he's three. If he's not, 3 is 4, so.
- 44:20Yeah. Yeah, in seven of the last eight
- 44:23years, Kucherov has been on a 100 plus point per game basis.
- 44:27And the only reason that he wasn't that in that one of eight
- 44:32years is because he didn't play the whole year.
- 44:35He came back for the playoffs. 2020 and 2021, they won the
- 44:40Stanley Cup and he got 32 points in 23 games like this.
- 44:45This is one of those guys that I feel like in 5-10 years from
- 44:49now, we're gonna be like, we're gonna talk about him way more
- 44:53fondly than people do now. Not that people aren't a huge
- 44:55fan of his, but this is. He's much more elite and
- 44:59generational than people give him credit.
- 45:01For I fully agree. You really feel people aren't
- 45:04giving him enough flowers? Yeah, really should be, yeah.
- 45:08For such like an elite player, I feel like he doesn't get as much
- 45:12recognition as like a McKinnon McDavid dry little when he's
- 45:16like putting up more points than all Matthews.
- 45:18Like, yeah, like, yeah, it's maybe it's the fact that he's
- 45:21not like a centre. And so like in real life, maybe
- 45:24he's more just, you know, a bit 1 dimensional in terms of pure
- 45:27offence. But like the numbers he's
- 45:28putting up, it doesn't matter, you know, like it's a I don't
- 45:31know why, but I definitely get the same vibe that Jakey does of
- 45:33him. Yeah, not being as recognized as
- 45:35he should be. It feels like, I don't know,
- 45:38it's weird honestly. Like I don't really get it.
- 45:41And I think he should be considered like in the record
- 45:45books is like, incredible. But like, how much more
- 45:48favorably is he spoken about than Panarin?
- 45:50Like, we think he's better than Panarin.
- 45:52We know he's better than Panarin.
- 45:53He obviously is. But I feel like they're kind of
- 45:56talked about in the same way. But he has led this team to
- 45:59their Stanley Cups. Yeah.
- 46:01Like, you know, there's no question about it.
- 46:03He's been the best player on these teams with their playoff
- 46:06success. I think he's amazing.
- 46:08And no, I wouldn't pick him third, but yeah, for four.
- 46:12Would you pick him third if you knew that Tampa had a 443 and
- 46:17333? I don't know, I I think I'm
- 46:21still taking dry soil. What about if your league didn't
- 46:24count face off wins? Yeah, then then Coach ohe easy.
- 46:29Yeah, I I think so. I think that's like the easy I
- 46:33wouldn't take him over McDavid. Who gets more points dry saddle
- 46:36or or couture of the season? Coach, I have no problem saying.
- 46:41That we'll get some more shots even.
- 46:46Do you think so? I think so.
- 46:48I think it's because I don't think it's enough to sway it.
- 46:53I think drizzle gets more goals that I'm sure of.
- 46:57Yeah, I could get more points, more power play points, similar
- 46:59if not more shots. Yeah.
- 47:01And then obviously. Has a four.
- 47:03Face off wins. Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 47:05I don't think that's crazy. Honestly, in my mind before we
- 47:09did these top 10s, I was like easy top 4 you go looking and
- 47:12McDavid Draisaitl Cooch. But now like my coochin dry
- 47:16Seidler maybe flip flipped and then talking Brady at 5 also in
- 47:20the previous episode like I'm all I'm all finished working.
- 47:23I'm all over the place, you. Know it's worth it.
- 47:26And you know what the truth is? Like what's so fun about fantasy
- 47:30hockey is that there really are these debates and it could go
- 47:33different ways. League settings matter a lot.
- 47:35Like for football, it's fantasy points.
- 47:37Like that's the standard easily for hockey category leagues,
- 47:42banger leagues, which is what we specialize in.
- 47:44There's so many different ways to do it based on league
- 47:46setting. So honestly, the fact that we're
- 47:48pretty firm in these lists, the centres, the left wings and the
- 47:51right wings, you should listen to all three.
- 47:53They're all super valuable at the end of the day, though, to
- 47:56kind of waver on one versus the other.
- 47:58League settings really do make a difference.
- 48:00No faceoffs? Yeah, I'm taking Cooch over
- 48:02Drysol. With faceoffs, I'm comfortably
- 48:03taking Drisdol. It makes sense.
- 48:06So there is something to be said about that.
- 48:08And honestly, you can listen to our assessments and our analysis
- 48:12and make your own decisions. But there's a lot of fun to be
- 48:17had, and you can do a lot of great things with roster
- 48:21construction. And catch up next week when we
- 48:25do defensemen and goalies. Yeah, let's go.
- 48:29A whole other layer of complexity to it, which is super
- 48:32duper fun. But yeah, thank you to everybody
- 48:34for joining us. As mentioned, you should check
- 48:36out our previous episodes, the centre and left wing top ten.
- 48:39This one's the right wing one. I think it's they're all super
- 48:42valuable and go together really well.
