Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I'm in a complete set of shock. At the same
- 0:04Speaker 2: time I turn and look at him. He yells. I'm like,
- 0:06Speaker 2: what is happening? He's popped this Twitter and it has
- 0:10Speaker 2: gone everywhere, Like I'm talking all over him, all over
- 0:13Speaker 2: the car, all over me. There is past everywhere. My
- 0:17Speaker 2: first time meeting him, and I'm like, oh my god,
- 0:20Speaker 2: what do I say?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Jake Relatable.
- 0:33Speaker 3: The Relatables podcast is hosted by my partner in crime,
- 0:36Speaker 3: mister Jake Craig aka Daddy, and myself Oddie Clark aka Mummy.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Thank you everybody for tuning in once again, and you're
- 0:44Speaker 3: all the baddies. That's it, Jake. I wanted to start
- 0:47Speaker 3: things off. I've done it before, but I wanted to
- 0:49Speaker 3: do it again.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know what he's doing. So we often
- 0:54Speaker 1: preach men being able to talk about their feelings. Yep.
- 0:57Speaker 3: And with the industry we're in, we often get caught
- 1:00Speaker 3: up in likes, views, even business tax.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Even that's relatable with life.
- 1:05Speaker 3: You get caught up in the hustle and bustle of
- 1:07Speaker 3: it that you kind of it gets taken away the
- 1:10Speaker 3: human side of things. So I just wanted to take
- 1:11Speaker 3: a moment and say I love you and I appreciate
- 1:15Speaker 3: you as a person a podcast and I'm the journey
- 1:17Speaker 3: we're going on. I had a moment before I was thinking,
- 1:19Speaker 3: it's very very cool, and I don't think we say
- 1:21Speaker 3: it enough.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Thank you very much. I love you too.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It's good to get it out sometimes, it's like all good.
- 1:30Speaker 3: I was even thinking about saying it before. It's like fuck,
- 1:31Speaker 3: I feel like but I really do, and like just
- 1:36Speaker 3: life gets in the way sometimes and you don't say
- 1:38Speaker 3: it even though I know there's an underlying I don't
- 1:40Speaker 3: know feeling between us.
- 1:41Speaker 1: That it's there but unconditional. Yeah, but it's always good
- 1:44Speaker 1: to say it an unspoken word. Yeah, it's always good
- 1:46Speaker 1: to say it. Yeah, it's real connections, that's it. I
- 1:51Speaker 1: can feel it in my nugget.
- 1:54Speaker 3: And it also sort of gives to that if some
- 1:57Speaker 3: people don't know why I'm called mummy mummy and he's
- 1:59Speaker 3: called daddy. Theoretically I'm meant to be better talking about
- 2:02Speaker 3: my feelings a little bit on paper and Daddy's not.
- 2:07Speaker 1: It's the play. It's a play on that and it
- 2:09Speaker 1: works out pretty well. Yeah, go see someone you love
- 2:11Speaker 1: them exactly exactly but to start off today, Jake, we
- 2:15Speaker 1: wanted to do things men are delusional about. Yeah, we
- 2:20Speaker 1: did this before.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Jake came up with this and it did really well,
- 2:23Speaker 3: and I thought it was quite funny because we're delusional
- 2:24Speaker 3: about quite a lot of things. Oh yeah, I'll go first.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I came in with heat too, by the way.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Okay, things men are delusional about their standards versus what
- 2:34Speaker 3: they offer.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Holy shit, I told you fire. Oh my god, Oh
- 2:51Speaker 1: that hurts. That's making me think about what I offer
- 2:54Speaker 1: right now. My brain's getting racking. My brain. Holy shit.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Not much, not much, man. We're about to see where
- 3:03Speaker 1: we're different. Things guys are delusional about that. No one
- 3:06Speaker 1: smelled the dirty silent fart. We just didn't publish that.
- 3:13Speaker 1: He's back at it again. It's a good sign of
- 3:24Speaker 1: like how we both think. Isn't it to be fair?
- 3:28Speaker 1: I quite often we do want to be like, no
- 3:30Speaker 1: one said anything that's relatable. I think we are we
- 3:33Speaker 1: are delusional. Was like, oh we got away with that. Yeah,
- 3:38Speaker 1: it's like it'd be like it's just fucking dumb. Things
- 3:44Speaker 1: are delusional about that. If she looks at me, she
- 3:46Speaker 1: wants me. I things guys are delusional about that if
- 3:51Speaker 1: she mikes my Instagram post, she wants me to message.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Oh yeah, guild back in the day before we start
- 4:01Speaker 3: this podcast.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I'm guilty of, Like if you liked anything else, like oh,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I mean yea yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah, even
- 4:05Speaker 1: if it was just like a nice picture of my dog.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Never like you would go you'd follow someone that you
- 4:13Speaker 1: you want a message, yeah, and you go like, I
- 4:15Speaker 1: never did this, but I always knew that it happened.
- 4:17Speaker 1: You go like a few old photos, yeah, and then
- 4:20Speaker 1: and then they go like a few of your old photos,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and that's when you send the message of like hey,
- 4:24Speaker 1: because you know you're going to get a reply. You
- 4:25Speaker 1: know they want some I never did it, but apparently
- 4:29Speaker 1: it worked. Oh yeah it does. I think if the
- 4:31Speaker 1: other person's interested, yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah. Quite often
- 4:34Speaker 1: you'll like But to be fair, I remember times of
- 4:37Speaker 1: someone following me and going and liking some old photos
- 4:39Speaker 1: and I was like, I didn't read between the lines.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I didn't read between the lines at all. Well, they
- 4:45Speaker 1: look at my old pictures like what a create. I
- 4:48Speaker 1: was like, that was definitely accidental. Hah. How embarrassing the
- 4:53Speaker 1: fear when you give someone your phone to look at something.
- 4:58Speaker 1: That's the fear you get. I ill the same. I
- 5:01Speaker 1: still say to people, don't like something, Yeah, I accidentally
- 5:08Speaker 1: I was watching a Snapchat story the other day. You
- 5:12Speaker 1: liked it. No, Snapchat gets your somehow, they like I
- 5:16Speaker 1: never watch them, Like, I'm not familiar with the dynamic
- 5:19Speaker 1: of Snapchat. Like I'll reply to a group chat or
- 5:21Speaker 1: read a group chat message, but I'm not familiar with
- 5:22Speaker 1: all the stories and stuff. So I just went on
- 5:24Speaker 1: and I was watching one, and they make it so
- 5:28Speaker 1: easy to accidentally slip up and reply did you do that?
- 5:31Speaker 1: And I replied to someone's story and I instantly was like,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I just had to eat this up. I have to
- 5:36Speaker 1: own this. And I was just like, honestly, so sorry,
- 5:39Speaker 1: I didn't mean that. Don't worry about it. But again, obviously, yes,
- 5:44Speaker 1: obviously it looks like I'm trying to slide into the DMS,
- 5:48Speaker 1: but I wasn't. You want to know what I did?
- 5:53Speaker 1: I what was the message that you typed? It was
- 5:55Speaker 1: like a reaction, And what I did I did was
- 6:00Speaker 1: this is fucked. What I did was they replied, ah,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I think I I think they said, how are you fuck?
- 6:09Speaker 1: They probably thought it was a ship attempted like sliding in,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and so I opened it and didn't reply. They sent
- 6:15Speaker 1: enough message saying okay, and so unadded them. Who was
- 6:20Speaker 1: the girl? I believe it. I'll tell you after. Poor
- 6:25Speaker 1: girl probably thought, oh, Jake Craig, I've got a shot down.
- 6:28Speaker 1: You know, like when you're younger, you add people that
- 6:31Speaker 1: you never talked to you again, it was like one
- 6:33Speaker 1: of them, Yeah, So I just I just don't added her.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I was like, look, I don't give a fuck. Sorry,
- 6:39Speaker 1: so mean, but's so true.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Sometimes on Instagram, like you're trying to swipe off the
- 6:43Speaker 3: app or something, and then it goes through like the
- 6:45Speaker 3: reactions thing, and you're like, oh you.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Fucking fire reacted bikini pick, like what woa? And then
- 6:52Speaker 1: you go back on please that wasn't But then she
- 6:53Speaker 1: sends it. The girl sends a screenshot to your girlfriend.
- 6:55Speaker 4: You're like, I swear I was trying to go out
- 6:56Speaker 4: of the apple, Like yeah, whatever, it is.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Single now, it's the same thing that swipe up. This
- 7:01Speaker 1: story is the same as getting out because there's no
- 7:02Speaker 1: home button on iPhone. Instagram doesn't want relationships to thrive,
- 7:05Speaker 1: but they want your phone to. They don't want you
- 7:06Speaker 1: to get you out of app that Instagram wants you
- 7:08Speaker 1: single so you can be liking people's photos. That's what
- 7:11Speaker 1: they want. That is it. We got the whole mindset going.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Is it me or you? Oh? Fuck knows ah, I
- 7:19Speaker 1: think it's you. Things guys are delusional about that. The
- 7:22Speaker 1: volume on my phone is up so high because I
- 7:24Speaker 1: can't hear it. I just like it loud. I don't
- 7:27Speaker 1: want to hear you. I just like it.
- 7:30Speaker 3: I don't want to hear you. Things meant are delusional
- 7:34Speaker 3: about quote. I can change her. Yeah, it goes both ways.
- 7:42Speaker 1: We tried to. We tried to dory. We do try
- 7:46Speaker 1: and get away of that. I'm sorry, I'm out. Oh
- 7:48Speaker 1: you're I can quick fire some things. Men are delusional
- 7:50Speaker 1: about our heighth that's just a friend, that she's just
- 7:56Speaker 1: a friend. Yeah. Fuck. They're following random girls on Instagram
- 8:00Speaker 1: means nothing. Hey, that is I would like to do
- 8:03Speaker 1: big p s A. That is actually a delusion of guys.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I think it is is that. Oh, I just like
- 8:10Speaker 1: I follow It doesn't mean anything like I was following
- 8:12Speaker 1: her before I met you. Delusional delusional unfollower. Do you
- 8:17Speaker 1: even know ja saw in the street? Would you go
- 8:20Speaker 1: say Hi to work. Probably no, you fucking wouldn't.
- 8:22Speaker 3: That should be the way you go about things. Hey,
- 8:24Speaker 3: if you're not going to say hi, I don't follow
- 8:25Speaker 3: them exactly any people want to follow. Maybe I should
- 8:27Speaker 3: start doing something that's a good idea on my level.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Mate, Yeah, you're a good influence sometimes. Last one, things
- 8:34Speaker 1: men are delusional about apparently not you, but how good
- 8:38Speaker 1: we are in bed. I'm pretty happy to admit that
- 8:43Speaker 1: I got work to do. We all but we all
- 8:44Speaker 1: know that guys like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, everyone knows that.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Guy that's like talks about doing like all this stuff,
- 8:52Speaker 1: And I'm like, I wouldn't even dream about attempting that.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You're full of ship. It's like j from the in
- 8:56Speaker 1: between us. Yeah, you're full of it. There's no one
- 9:00Speaker 1: app here, one girl over there, no guys ever going
- 9:03Speaker 1: to have a threesome in last right, Seriously, if anybody's
- 9:06Speaker 1: talking about threesomes and he's like, yeah, I do it, three,
- 9:08Speaker 1: shut up. Yeah, fucking get real. We don't give a fuck.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But take away from that is we're quite delusional. We
- 9:18Speaker 1: could yeah yeah, just end it there, fucking ended there.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Fuck it. Enjoy the rest of the episode. Okay, guys,
- 9:32Speaker 1: we've got another confession this week. We kind of got two.
- 9:35Speaker 1: We got one sent to us via Instagram just as
- 9:38Speaker 1: a message. But I'm going to read out PSA, this
- 9:41Speaker 1: isn't how we do it. This is not how we
- 9:42Speaker 1: do it. But we also do have a caller coming up.
- 9:45Speaker 1: If you want to send in a confession, go to
- 9:46Speaker 1: our Instagram and link in the bio, scroll down, put
- 9:49Speaker 1: it in there, we'll read it. We'll contact you see
- 9:51Speaker 1: if you want to come on anonymously or good. This
- 9:54Speaker 1: one falls under when you've gotta go, you gotta go.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Done a few of these lately. This guy said the dude.
- 9:59Speaker 1: This guy said, hey, guys, big fan of the pod
- 10:02Speaker 1: and only started listening a few weeks ago, but listen to
- 10:04Speaker 1: many previous episodes. I have a story about if you've
- 10:06Speaker 1: got to go, you gotta go. I was at work
- 10:08Speaker 1: and busting to do a number two. I was working
- 10:11Speaker 1: alone and there was no toilet on site. Grabbed a shovel,
- 10:14Speaker 1: dug a hole, popped a squat, and covered it up.
- 10:16Speaker 1: What I liked about this guy is he goes efficiency
- 10:19Speaker 1: on poop on butt cheek twenty six percent, really poop
- 10:24Speaker 1: on under his seventy two percent. Ro didn't know how
- 10:28Speaker 1: to squad promptly, and I was like, yeah, it's not
- 10:30Speaker 1: that hard to squad, to be fair, Like he may
- 10:32Speaker 1: have been. He may have been like in a rush,
- 10:35Speaker 1: nail bag on who knows what was going on, could
- 10:37Speaker 1: have been cold, could have been in a weird position,
- 10:39Speaker 1: trying to get no street view of him, imagining what
- 10:42Speaker 1: to call.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Like a site manager, you go walk on site, see
- 10:44Speaker 3: how your employee's doing, like.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Popping a squad, taking a shit or filling his shit
- 10:50Speaker 1: hole in. Man, it's just I've worked at plenty of
- 10:53Speaker 1: places where he's residential carpentry. I've worked at plenty of
- 10:58Speaker 1: places and you have to use the person's toilet and
- 11:00Speaker 1: I just always have to shit, And so I was
- 11:02Speaker 1: always taking a shit in the toilet. And it's just
- 11:04Speaker 1: the weirdest thing of it because it's they know, but
- 11:06Speaker 1: you're not gonna say anything, and like they can't stop
- 11:08Speaker 1: it from doing it because we're also you're going to
- 11:10Speaker 1: do it and you hate doing it.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I remember core memory. When my house is
- 11:13Speaker 3: getting renovated, one of our builders was like a like
- 11:16Speaker 3: semi bodybuilder, like massive muscles gym guy. Yeah, you say,
- 11:19Speaker 3: ate a kilo of meat at lunch of mince meat.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Because when I was doing leaning up, he was a
- 11:24Speaker 3: big guy, had to be like maybe one twenty kilos.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Good blow, good blow. It was a good bloke. And
- 11:28Speaker 1: I always, I don't know, I always remember you'd gone
- 11:31Speaker 1: to toilet like even like five minutes after him and
- 11:33Speaker 1: fucking gone. I was just like, oh yeah, but it
- 11:39Speaker 1: happened for like fucking six months a year when my
- 11:41Speaker 1: house is that built. Fuck, my girlfriend likes to play
- 11:43Speaker 1: jokes and if I'm in there taking a shit and
- 11:45Speaker 1: she knows I'm taking a shit, she'll walk down and
- 11:47Speaker 1: her her bathroom's in her room, and she'll pretend she's
- 11:50Speaker 1: doing something. She goes, oh, I could smell through the
- 11:52Speaker 1: cracks of the door, and I'm like, fuck off, get
- 11:54Speaker 1: out of here, leave me in peace. I'm trying to
- 11:56Speaker 1: try and do some business in here, serious business. I'm
- 12:00Speaker 1: on my phone too in it. It is business, serious business places.
- 12:03Speaker 1: It's a good place to just be in your own thoughts.
- 12:05Speaker 1: It is you're releasing some demons while you're doing some
- 12:08Speaker 1: business on the phone. Exactly, especially especially for us. Good times.
- 12:11Speaker 3: But the next confession session is date went wrong callers
- 12:15Speaker 3: calling in Please enjoy, Hello and welcome to Confession Sessions.
- 12:23Speaker 2: How are you?
- 12:24Speaker 1: Who are both good? Thank you?
- 12:25Speaker 3: First things first, even though you already said your name,
- 12:27Speaker 3: I can bleep it out. Would you like to be
- 12:28Speaker 3: anonymous or you don't mind?
- 12:31Speaker 2: I think I will be anonymous. You're gonna have to
- 12:32Speaker 2: look it out.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Have you got a name you'd always wanted to be
- 12:37Speaker 1: called or do you want us to choose one for you?
- 12:40Speaker 2: Oh, you can choose one for me.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I'm going to say Ashley, Ashley Ashley. We've done that
- 12:48Speaker 1: more than once. Yeah, well, actually it is. If you've
- 12:51Speaker 1: got a story, take it from the top. Don't leave
- 12:52Speaker 1: out any details. We'd love to for this one, it's
- 12:55Speaker 1: date gone wrong. Date gone wrong.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Yes, so it's just that with awesome context. This was
- 13:01Speaker 2: my first date in years, and I was so incredibly nervous,
- 13:05Speaker 2: and he was picking me up, and so I was
- 13:07Speaker 2: sitting there before him, thinking, oh my god, I'm not
- 13:09Speaker 2: going to get into car like I was so so scared.
- 13:11Speaker 2: But I did, and we decided that we were going
- 13:14Speaker 2: to go bowling, and so he drove and it was
- 13:17Speaker 2: perfect all the way there. We were chatting nice and
- 13:19Speaker 2: fun and all of a sudden, he says to me,
- 13:21Speaker 2: look at this blister on my hands, and I'm like, oh, okay, sure,
- 13:25Speaker 2: I look at it. This thing is huge, like it
- 13:27Speaker 2: is our fires. That's his whole finger. I'm like, oh,
- 13:30Speaker 2: that's so cool. Anyway, fast forward, we get to bowling.
- 13:35Speaker 2: It's super fun. I really like him. We have a
- 13:37Speaker 2: really really awesome time. And he's driving me home now.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Like I said, I'm sitting in the passenger seat. He's driving.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I'm minding my own business, looking out the window, chatting
- 13:45Speaker 2: to him, and all of a sudden, I feel something
- 13:48Speaker 2: wet hit my face, my shoulder, is my neck, everywhere,
- 13:52Speaker 2: and I am just I'm in a complete set of shock.
- 13:55Speaker 2: At the same time, I turn and look at him.
- 13:57Speaker 2: He yells, I'm like, what is happening? He's popped this
- 13:59Speaker 2: list and it has gone everywhere, Like I'm talking, all
- 14:03Speaker 2: over him, all over the car, all over me. There
- 14:05Speaker 2: is pass everywhere. That my first time meeting him, and
- 14:10Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, what do I What do
- 14:13Speaker 2: I say? Because I do not take other people's bodily
- 14:15Speaker 2: fluids very well at all? And I was little sharks. Yes, yes,
- 14:23Speaker 2: I didn't say I think, oh, did you as if
- 14:26Speaker 2: he didn't just hit me with it?
- 14:30Speaker 1: You didn't say that.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I just pretended like it didn't happen, and he pretended
- 14:35Speaker 2: like it couldn't happen.
- 14:37Speaker 1: That's insane. You guys pretend was it awkward because he
- 14:43Speaker 1: knew it was? It was it was. Did he get
- 14:46Speaker 1: a second date?
- 14:48Speaker 2: He did get well past few months later, we are
- 14:51Speaker 2: now in a relationship.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Why, Yeah, this is a make cute.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Yeah that's what I thought. It was kind of both.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Have you been together?
- 15:03Speaker 2: We've been together officially for like two weeks, but it's
- 15:06Speaker 2: been like two three months since we met.
- 15:08Speaker 1: So this actually wasn't that long ago.
- 15:11Speaker 2: No, it wasn't. It has been really recent.
- 15:13Speaker 1: How's his blister here?
- 15:15Speaker 2: It looks pretty good.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Now. What did he have to say for himself? I
- 15:20Speaker 1: assume you've talked about it now.
- 15:21Speaker 2: No, we haven't, fim anonymous.
- 15:24Speaker 1: You haven't spoken about No.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I think maybe one day I'll show him this and
- 15:27Speaker 2: I'll be like, look, this is what happened. I know
- 15:30Speaker 2: you know what happened.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Obviously he's gone home to his friends, like you guess
- 15:37Speaker 1: what happened. I got away over it, Like, please, Ashley,
- 15:43Speaker 1: please please please get him on and let's call him
- 15:47Speaker 1: out on the podcast.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I show it. I should that's such a good idea.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Oh my, oh what is he? What did he what?
- 15:55Speaker 1: Does he dig holes or something at work? Like? Does
- 15:57Speaker 1: that why he had a blister? Yeah?
- 15:58Speaker 2: Like he used his handle, so it makes sense you
- 16:00Speaker 2: had ones that. Yeah, I didn't expect it to pop
- 16:02Speaker 2: all over me.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Well, you're a better person, both Jake and I can
- 16:05Speaker 1: say that. You are definitely a better person than than myself.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I think that would ruin me. That would have like
- 16:15Speaker 1: I would have been speaks to be fair, but I
- 16:17Speaker 1: would have said something. I would have been like, what
- 16:19Speaker 1: the fuck is that? Yeah, you would have said something
- 16:20Speaker 1: like yeah, you are good on you. Yeah. I hope
- 16:24Speaker 1: that this relationship works out, and I hope I hope
- 16:27Speaker 1: you guys don't bring it up until your vows.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I feel that's such a good idea.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Remember our first day and he's just gonna be like
- 16:36Speaker 1: fun Did you tell your friends or you haven't told
- 16:38Speaker 1: a soul?
- 16:39Speaker 2: No, I haven't. I told them.
- 16:40Speaker 1: What did they say?
- 16:41Speaker 2: Did they say that they thought it was so funny?
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 16:45Speaker 2: God, well, but no, I think it's a great way
- 16:48Speaker 2: to start the relationship as soon as it happened, I
- 16:50Speaker 2: was like, yeah, this is going to be a good relationship.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Definitely a way to start. But no, that's good and
- 16:58Speaker 1: glad he's a nice guy. Yeah, thanks for coming on, Ashley.
- 17:01Speaker 1: We appreciate that.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Thank you for having me.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Have a good day. Dude, what fuck that is? The
- 17:13Speaker 1: unspoken thing is like, here's kay I could understand maybe,
- 17:19Speaker 1: like let's say first date, you're driving home, you're driving
- 17:23Speaker 1: cheese over there, and you just accidentally slip out of
- 17:26Speaker 1: silent fart and it stinks, but you just ignore it
- 17:29Speaker 1: and she ignores it.
- 17:30Speaker 4: And look, it's like it's okay to ignore that type
- 17:32Speaker 4: of thing because yeah, but popping a blister and it
- 17:35Speaker 4: just going everywhere and he literally reacted like, ah, I
- 17:38Speaker 4: didn't like that hurts so bad, Like that's fucking crazy.
- 17:42Speaker 1: My immediate thought was maybe it's like that. Do you
- 17:46Speaker 1: know how girls like popping pimples? Like was it that
- 17:48Speaker 1: kind of concept? She said it like covered his whole finger. Disgusted.
- 17:54Speaker 1: First date was someone I haven't even kiss him yet.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I'm going there bodily pussy blistered all over me and
- 18:00Speaker 1: it when in her hair, she said, all of her face,
- 18:02Speaker 1: her hair close bro what girl and she's dating her now.
- 18:07Speaker 1: They have been together for two weeks officially. I suppose
- 18:09Speaker 1: it like it takes away, like you know, you meant
- 18:11Speaker 1: to be on your best behavior all the time when
- 18:13Speaker 1: you're with a girl and you don't really like show
- 18:15Speaker 1: them like your true side, like farting or he pimples,
- 18:18Speaker 1: like this guy's just like I don't care, I'm gonna
- 18:20Speaker 1: pop a blister on her. Oh we should We should
- 18:22Speaker 1: have asked if he's farted in front. We should have
- 18:25Speaker 1: asked that down to me. She hasn't brought it up,
- 18:29Speaker 1: like remember that day, like I know that was. They're
- 18:31Speaker 1: together now and they haven't brought it up. That's something
- 18:33Speaker 1: that you definitely bring up. That's so funny. Imagine if
- 18:36Speaker 1: they're driving in the car, got another date, and she goes,
- 18:39Speaker 1: I'm just gonna put this potty on and it's us
- 18:41Speaker 1: talking to her. That's a game plan. She definitely should
- 18:44Speaker 1: do that. Be like I just this is like my
- 18:45Speaker 1: firond podcast. I just want to think. And then he's
- 18:47Speaker 1: going to be like that sounds a lot like you,
- 18:50Speaker 1: and she's gonna be like, yeah, no, I don't know
- 18:52Speaker 1: you're talking about. She just tells the exact story. Whatever
- 18:57Speaker 1: your name is, dude, if you're listening to this, she knows,
- 19:01Speaker 1: we all know. We all know. Maybe that's a takeaway
- 19:04Speaker 1: when we do something embarrassing when we're a girl, or
- 19:07Speaker 1: anything bad and we think, oh, we got away with it.
- 19:09Speaker 1: We definitely did. Know there's no way everything all right?
- 19:21Speaker 3: Jake up next to a deep segment. We haven't done
- 19:23Speaker 3: deep on Spotify in a while. No, we do want
- 19:26Speaker 3: page on quite often if you want to go. But
- 19:29Speaker 3: today I wanted to ask yourself, how do you perceive
- 19:31Speaker 3: your own identity and how's it changed over time?
- 19:34Speaker 1: Do you think have I perceived my own identity? Yeah? Fuck,
- 19:39Speaker 1: that's a loaded question. Ah.
- 19:42Speaker 3: I took it as like it's sort of like your purpose,
- 19:45Speaker 3: I guess in a way as in life. Would you say,
- 19:47Speaker 3: as well as people perceive you as your purpose? No,
- 19:50Speaker 3: like your identity is your purpose. But we don't have
- 19:52Speaker 3: an identity, like I don't know what I identify like as.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Oh that's a good point, Yeah, what's my actual identity?
- 20:00Speaker 1: Like I am a podcaster? Yeah, I am a part
- 20:05Speaker 1: of a family. I'm my my literal identity though, would
- 20:09Speaker 1: be like, how does anyone even know that? Like you
- 20:11Speaker 1: can't just say your identity is like your LinkedIn profile,
- 20:14Speaker 1: which I don't even have, but like I feel like
- 20:16Speaker 1: a lot of people on their LinkedIn and be like
- 20:17Speaker 1: I do this this, that entrepreneur blah blah blah.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Yeah, well I saw this question and I was like,
- 20:21Speaker 3: I actually like it sounds like a simple question, like
- 20:25Speaker 3: what's my identity?
- 20:26Speaker 1: How do I perceive myself? And I'm like, fuck, I
- 20:27Speaker 1: don't know. Yeah, Like I'm not just Jake Craig yare, like,
- 20:31Speaker 1: I'm Audi Clark, but like who is OLDI Clark? Like
- 20:34Speaker 1: what does that mean? Like, I don't know if I
- 20:35Speaker 1: even think of it as that deep of a question though,
- 20:37Speaker 1: Like I feel like you could, you could take it
- 20:39Speaker 1: as as stoic as you want or as realistic as
- 20:44Speaker 1: you could in a way where you think I need
- 20:46Speaker 1: to have some sort of extravagant answer of a guy
- 20:49Speaker 1: that does this X y Z blah blah blah. But
- 20:52Speaker 1: I think that there's a beauty in even just going
- 20:54Speaker 1: through life, and lately I kind of just I want
- 21:00Speaker 1: to do stuff for me. I want to just being. Yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 1: I think there's nothing wrong with just being and being.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I don't feel lonely. I love being alone. I like
- 21:13Speaker 1: being lonely, like staying out of the way. I like
- 21:17Speaker 1: to do the podcast, create content and then post it
- 21:22Speaker 1: and stay out of the fucking public eye. I like
- 21:25Speaker 1: to just do all those things. And I don't feel
- 21:27Speaker 1: I feel like currently I'm just kind of doing everything
- 21:29Speaker 1: that I want to be doing. I agree to extend. Well,
- 21:31Speaker 1: what's something that like, maybe it's easier. We're very nitty
- 21:35Speaker 1: picky on ourself. What's something like you still trying to
- 21:38Speaker 1: understand about yourself? What am I still trying to understand?
- 21:43Speaker 3: Let me get first, because I have an answer. Yeah,
- 21:45Speaker 3: mine's feeling unhappy. I don't think like and having that emotion,
- 21:52Speaker 3: if that makes sense. Yeah, Like I don't understand like
- 21:55Speaker 3: because everyone has bad days, right, Yeah, And like some
- 21:58Speaker 3: days I'll be sad and unhappy, but I feel like
- 22:00Speaker 3: I shouldn't be, and I don't understand why I'm unhappy
- 22:02Speaker 3: or sad.
- 22:03Speaker 1: My body's like telling me now, and I'm still trying
- 22:04Speaker 1: to understand, Like it's okay to be unhappy and feel
- 22:07Speaker 1: sad for a day. Yeah, if that makes that make sense.
- 22:10Speaker 1: It's so easy to say that too, but when you're
- 22:12Speaker 1: experiencing it, you're just like after a minute of I reckon,
- 22:15Speaker 1: one minute of sadness, you're just like, I'm sick of this. Yeah,
- 22:18Speaker 1: it doesn't matter how long it is. One minute of
- 22:20Speaker 1: it is like, I'm sick of this. And then I've
- 22:22Speaker 1: been definitely getting anxious lately, and I do think that
- 22:28Speaker 1: that is partially to do with comparing myself to people,
- 22:35Speaker 1: to do with just I guess now working for ourselves,
- 22:41Speaker 1: and definitely a little bit more yeah, bit of anxiety
- 22:44Speaker 1: with all that, but it's I saw a good thing
- 22:49Speaker 1: the other day. In anxiety, is your body telling you
- 22:51Speaker 1: that you don't understand the situation. And then a lot
- 22:54Speaker 1: of the time will get latched onto something simple that
- 22:57Speaker 1: eases that anxiety. And for me, I would admit that
- 23:01Speaker 1: it's kind of quickly just scrolling TikTok because you're busy
- 23:04Speaker 1: for that minute, You're busy for that ten minutes. That's
- 23:07Speaker 1: very true for young people. Waste half an hour, no problem,
- 23:10Speaker 1: and you can do it at night. You're just like
- 23:13Speaker 1: kind of rotting in bed, rotting in your brain. And
- 23:17Speaker 1: I know it's not good for me, yet I still
- 23:21Speaker 1: do it. And I have times where I try not
- 23:22Speaker 1: to do it, and then I always go back to it,
- 23:24Speaker 1: so I'm yet to have an answer for that. It
- 23:26Speaker 1: makes it feel better, it does. It just gives you this.
- 23:29Speaker 1: It's it's serotonin. The scrolling is the serotonin, and it's
- 23:33Speaker 1: and I don't know. I don't know if it's that
- 23:36Speaker 1: I don't want to give it up, or I don't know,
- 23:37Speaker 1: how do I don't know what it is something to do,
- 23:40Speaker 1: like if you think about it, the thought of sitting
- 23:44Speaker 1: there in silence, just waiting for something to export. Or
- 23:49Speaker 1: sometimes I'm brushing my teeth and I'm watching TikTok that's bad,
- 23:54Speaker 1: and I put it down, and I get a little
- 23:55Speaker 1: bit of anxiety because I'm upset with myself for watching
- 23:57Speaker 1: TikTok while and brushing my teeth. But now'm brushing my
- 23:59Speaker 1: teeth and there's no much TikTok on and I'm fucking
- 24:00Speaker 1: anxious because there's nothing to occupy my mind and I
- 24:04Speaker 1: have I'm very forgetful at the moment, because I fucking
- 24:08Speaker 1: pretty sure it's because I have this instant bit of
- 24:11Speaker 1: gratification anytime I go on my phone and I will
- 24:15Speaker 1: forget the most craziest things, like the other day, I
- 24:18Speaker 1: needed to call power company to fix something without power,
- 24:23Speaker 1: and you were at the house and I had an
- 24:25Speaker 1: alarm set to remind me because I wouldn't remember. And
- 24:27Speaker 1: the alarm went off and you were five minutes out
- 24:29Speaker 1: the door, and I was like, he's leaving in five minutes.
- 24:31Speaker 1: I just won't even snooze it. So it reminds me again.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I'm just gonna turn it off because when odd he leaves,
- 24:35Speaker 1: I'll call them. Then you left, I forgot to do
- 24:37Speaker 1: it to you want to ask me the night and
- 24:38Speaker 1: I was like fuck, And I told her what happened
- 24:40Speaker 1: and she was like, whoh yeah, And I was like,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I don't know why. And I just had this whole
- 24:43Speaker 1: conversation with her. I was like, I must just be
- 24:45Speaker 1: rotting my fucking brain. It definitely is. And it's funny that.
- 24:49Speaker 3: So we're like, you're trying to understand why you're anxious
- 24:52Speaker 3: and TikTok's an easy outlet, and I'm trying to understand,
- 24:56Speaker 3: like it's okay to be unhappy and why I'm feeling
- 24:58Speaker 3: these emotions and like I feel guilty being unhappy. I
- 25:00Speaker 3: should always be happy. And then I'm coming back to
- 25:04Speaker 3: the question of like what's our identity? Do you reckon
- 25:06Speaker 3: our identity, Like it's just figuring out ourselves. Does that
- 25:12Speaker 3: make sense? Like we're My identity on this earth is
- 25:17Speaker 3: Autie Clark, and I have to figure out this body
- 25:19Speaker 3: I've been given, Yeah, and figured out all these questions
- 25:22Speaker 3: my brain has for me, And instead of finding these
- 25:24Speaker 3: easy outlets, is actually figure out why I'm feeling this way,
- 25:28Speaker 3: why you're feeling anxious, why I'm feeling unhappy.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I feel like we're not given the tools for that. Oh,
- 25:34Speaker 1: you don't reckon. I don't think. I don't feel like
- 25:36Speaker 1: I've been given the tools through school or through anything
- 25:40Speaker 1: to actually understand any feeling I'm feeling, because I don't
- 25:44Speaker 1: think any adult because like our day and age is
- 25:48Speaker 1: the is the day and age of people trying to
- 25:49Speaker 1: figure that out. Our parents they don't know how to
- 25:53Speaker 1: do that either because they never figured that out because
- 25:55Speaker 1: it was even more frowned upon or less you know,
- 25:57Speaker 1: just lesser done than when they were our age. So
- 25:59Speaker 1: I didn't I think anybody's ever been given the tools
- 26:01Speaker 1: of how to actually understand emotions, unless I don't know,
- 26:04Speaker 1: maybe you're a psychiatrist something like that, and we just
- 26:07Speaker 1: try our best, we really do, or we hide behind
- 26:10Speaker 1: a screen. Yeah, and then we wait for it to
- 26:13Speaker 1: get so bad that we I don't know, cave and
- 26:19Speaker 1: explode into a period of something and then you fucking
- 26:23Speaker 1: end up on meds or something. I don't know what's
- 26:24Speaker 1: how you get depression, I think, And it's realizing that
- 26:28Speaker 1: probably a lot of things that we do unhealthy because
- 26:30Speaker 1: I'm guilty of that TikTok thing too. Like I'll be
- 26:32Speaker 1: watching a movie and then I'll be like, fuck, I
- 26:33Speaker 1: was stroll on TikTok. Yeah, it's like one minute of
- 26:36Speaker 1: the movie gets boring. I think movies have slow parts,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and then you're on TikTok because you need to fill
- 26:40Speaker 1: in this boring part of time. I don't think.
- 26:41Speaker 3: I think it's a lot of self discipline, Like I
- 26:44Speaker 3: need to start implementing it, like implemented in other ways
- 26:46Speaker 3: in my life, like the gym and training, but don't
- 26:47Speaker 3: implement it on my brain.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Yeah, no, one hundred percent. I think I'm the same.
- 26:51Speaker 1: I think I think we have discipline, but then lack
- 26:55Speaker 1: discipline in some really important areas that just we haven't
- 26:58Speaker 1: given any attention. Yeah, but it's so.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Overwhelming, like it's like everything that a human body has
- 27:04Speaker 3: to go through emotions health wise, and then it's just
- 27:07Speaker 3: this TikTok. Who would have thought that scrolling on phone
- 27:09Speaker 3: would have been so toxic for me?
- 27:11Speaker 1: Facts? And it is, But I don't know.
- 27:13Speaker 3: It was just it was a funny little question I saw,
- 27:15Speaker 3: like because I looked at the question, I was like,
- 27:17Speaker 3: what is my identity? I didn't know the answer? Yeah,
- 27:19Speaker 3: I was like, it was one wondering if everyone listening
- 27:21Speaker 3: is like, what's your identity?
- 27:23Speaker 1: Because we don't want to give anyone a panic attack,
- 27:27Speaker 1: But I mean, if anyone, if you, yeah, if you
- 27:29Speaker 1: even were to think about it for a while, if
- 27:32Speaker 1: anyone has a good answer, like I don't think I
- 27:33Speaker 1: think the answer of just you know, I'm Oddie Clark
- 27:37Speaker 1: or I'm Jake Craig just getting through life, it's a
- 27:39Speaker 1: bad egg. I feel like this doesn't need an answer.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I don't want to stress anyone out, But if anyone
- 27:42Speaker 1: has anything interesting, I hit us up. They're very interesting.
