- 1:39Speaker 4: he played well. I was I was saying to myself,
- 1:43Speaker 4: Alex Sar probably would win it, you know when you
- 1:46Speaker 4: know this summer, you know when all the rookies were now,
- 1:48Speaker 4: but listen, he played well. I'm happy for him, and
- 1:51Speaker 4: I'm happy for the Spurs organization.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Fifteen points for rebounds, four assists, shot forty three percent
- 1:56Speaker 2: and twenty eight percent from deep tell you what, yes.
- 2:00Speaker 3: When they get healthy. But him and Wimby and Fox, yeah,
- 2:03Speaker 3: they got a nice little bit some building blocks down,
- 2:06Speaker 3: the serious building blocks.

- 2:11Speaker 2: He is the KIA NBA Rookie of the Year. Congratulations Steffan.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Thank you. I appreciate it.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So now, uh, you've got a Tim Duncan story to
- 2:22Speaker 2: tell because he was a Spurs Rookie of the Year
- 2:26Speaker 2: and your dad was a teammate of his at Wake Forest.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Uh what does this mean to you to be in
- 2:33Speaker 2: that company.
- 2:35Speaker 5: It's definitely a full circle moment. You know, I can't
- 2:38Speaker 5: help but think about you know, the target that's put
- 2:40Speaker 5: on my back. But you know, I just think it's
- 2:43Speaker 5: none that I'm not ready for.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Stephan and shack here congratulations. When you first came into
- 2:49Speaker 4: the league as a rookie, did you say, Hey, I'm
- 2:50Speaker 4: going to get this war. A lot of people haven't
- 2:52Speaker 4: really set my name a lot, but I'm gonna let
- 2:54Speaker 4: the world know. I'm gonna put the world on the others.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I will be the rookie of the year. Was that
- 2:58Speaker 4: your thought process?
- 3:00Speaker 5: Definitely, especially coming in with all the confidence that I
- 3:03Speaker 5: have in myself as a player, that was definitely a
- 3:06Speaker 5: gold of mine from from day one. So you know,
- 3:08Speaker 5: I'm just happy I was able to execute it.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You know.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Number one. Congratulations. But I asked Victor this question last year.
- 3:16Speaker 3: You probably lost more games this year than you lost
- 3:19Speaker 3: your entire life. How was that how was that mentally?
- 3:24Speaker 3: I mean, you come from winning the championship, but losing
- 3:28Speaker 3: takes his toll on you mentally. Who did you talk
- 3:31Speaker 3: to and how did you handle it mentally? Just because
- 3:34Speaker 3: like most nights, you're not going to win.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, we had great bests on our team
- 3:41Speaker 5: that seemed really every level of basketball, so you know,
- 3:44Speaker 5: just taking every game, you know, as a lesson, you know,
- 3:47Speaker 5: whether we win and lose, trying to get better from it.
- 3:49Speaker 5: So just having those guys, you know, like my teammates,
- 3:52Speaker 5: just encouraging me, uplifting me, supporting me after every game.
- 3:55Speaker 1: That's that's really what got me through all that.
- 3:58Speaker 6: Well stuff, you don't mind more of a comment than
- 4:01Speaker 6: a question. First, congratulations, Just so the viewers that he

- 4:25Speaker 6: to sponsor his dad on those trips. He ate a lot.

- 4:32Speaker 6: and your family and your dad, who actually is a.

- 5:17Speaker 5: I mean he never gave me anything from day one
- 5:20Speaker 5: and it made me work for everything. So you know,
- 5:22Speaker 5: my parents they obviously disciplined me, but to get it
- 5:25Speaker 5: from a coach, I feel like that that just means
- 5:27Speaker 5: so much more and I feel like it just it
- 5:29Speaker 5: just it just.
