  Speaker 1: Friday at the House of Glory show, and I had

  Speaker 1: something to do on Saturday, and then we had the
• 0:19
  Speaker 1: podcast on Sunday, and we had the pay per view
• 0:22
  Speaker 1: and went to bed at four am on Monday. And
• 0:26
  Speaker 1: so now I am sick. I knew this was going
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: to happen. I knew this was going to happen. And
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: tonight we had three hours of AW, but I wasn't
• 0:35
  Speaker 1: sticking around until the end of hour three. But this
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: was the post pay per view episode of Dynamite, and
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: in the past AW tends to drop the ball when
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: it comes to these post pay per view shows. They
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: just end up not being very exciting. And so what
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: Tony sometimes does is he'll, you know, love them up
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: maybe with some big matches, and it looks very wrestling
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: heavy and you can get some really good matches out
• 1:00
  Speaker 1: of it, but you want to have a good mix.

  Speaker 1: You want to have some good matches you want to
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: have some exciting television, you want to have some storyline developments,
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: and they just don't always do a good job of
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: that coming out of these pay per views. This was
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: not a bad episode. This was not like an offensively
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: bad episode. It just wasn't very exciting. It wasn't the best,
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: most exciting follow up to what I thought was the
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: best pro wrestling pay per view or event period that
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: I've seen of the entire year, and it was, to
• 1:32
  Speaker 1: me anyway, pretty average fare. As far as Dynamite goes,
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: we had Mark Davis and Jack Perry in the main event. Now, look,
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: I like Mark Davis. I'm a Mark Davis fan, and
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: so it's cool to see him getting all of this
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: television time. Should he be wrestling Jack Perry in the
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: main event of aw Dynamite. No, but that was our
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: main event. Now, technically again, there was another hour of
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: the show, but as far as Dynamite goes, that was
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: the main event, and they ended up having what I
• 2:01
  Speaker 1: thought was actually a really strong match. I mean, I
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: enjoyed the match from a wrestling perspective. And Mark Davis
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: is moving on to the next round. He's going to
• 2:10
  Speaker 1: be stepping into the Ring with will Osprey, and then
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: we had in the other men's owen Hart tournament match,
• 2:19
  Speaker 1: we had Claudio Castagnoli against Brody King, which is a
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: match that we've seen twice before in the C two.
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: So this was effectively the rubber match here between these
• 2:29
  Speaker 1: two men, and Brody King is moving on, which I
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: think a lot of people probably figured he's moving on
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: to wrestle Swer of Strickland that'll be taking place in
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: the next round. I was more interested in two things.
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: What would the follow up be with Kevin Knight coming
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: out of what we saw at the end of the
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: pay per view where he did a UFO splash to
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: Darby Allen and were what would the follow up be
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: with MJF who just won back the aw World Championship,
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: And I was he's pretty unimpressed with what they did.

  Speaker 1: In both cases here, we did get a Kevin Knight promo.
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: We at least got an explanation for why he did
• 3:08
  Speaker 1: what he did. It wasn't any sort of blowaway, big
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: heel promo or anything like that, but we did get
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: an explanation from him. With MJF, they actually lined up
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: two challengers for him, and we already know what his
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: first title defense is going to be. It's going to
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: be taking place on Dynamite next week. And I may
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: have a difference of opinion with people who think that,
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: you know, he shouldn't be defending the championship. That doesn't
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: bother me so much, just because if he's not on
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: the show defending the championship, it makes it more likely that,
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: you know, people will you know, complain about how nothing
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: important ever happens on these shows or where's the excitement. Well,
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: you're gonna have MJF defending the world championship and I
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: can't argue with that. So he's going to be defending
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: the title next week against Rouche, and Mark Briscoe showed
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: up and he wants a piece of MJF as well. Now,
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: storyline wise, it makes sense that you have somebody in
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: Mark Briscoe who actually got a win on pay per
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: view last year over MJF, and now MJF is once
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: again the world champion. Mark Briscoe says, you know what,
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: I have a win over you, and so I want
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: a title match, right, Okay? Sure? Not the most exciting
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: challengers to line up immediately coming out of this pay
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: per view because they just haven't been built up enough,
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: frankly for me to get terribly excited about it. Rush
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: is a great wrestler, of course, he's a great wrestler.

  Speaker 1: Mark Briscoe, Hey, I don't got anything against Mark Briscoe,

  Speaker 1: but I can't sit here and tell you that these

  Speaker 1: are the most exciting challengers that they have come up
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: with for MJF. But look, I guess in their mind,
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: they've got time to kill before they get to whoever

  Speaker 1: that next big challenger is gonna be, Whether it's Forbidden
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: Door or whenever that's going to be, I don't know

  Speaker 1: what they're doing it Forbidden Door. I don't know if
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: it's going to be the AW champion against the IWGP champion.

  Speaker 1: was kind of there. It wasn't any great shakes, but

  Speaker 1: I wouldn't sit here and call it a terrible show,

  Speaker 1: believe me. I mean, there have been episodes of Dynamite
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: that were so boring. I just can't get into anything

  Speaker 1: that's going on. I wouldn't put this in that category,

  Speaker 1: but you know, coming off the high of double or nothing,

  Speaker 1: this sort of brought things down back to earth in

  Speaker 1: a way that I wish there was a little more

  Speaker 1: excitement on this show. But this is your aw dynamite review.

  Speaker 1: This was another good segment with these two, and it's

  Speaker 1: the idea is that they're going to do an Omega

  Speaker 1: last week or two weeks ago, whenever it was. He goes,

  Speaker 1: and don't let the jet down. And that's exactly what

  Speaker 1: Darby did. He blew it, he said, just like the
• 14:35
  Speaker 1: Sixers did against the Knicks, and that got him some megaheat.

  Speaker 1: Here he says he's not trusting the process anymore. He says,

  Speaker 1: who's the last man that MJF found himself looking up
• 14:49
  Speaker 1: at was him? It was Kevin Knight. So he took

  Speaker 1: matters into his own hands. It should have been him

  Speaker 1: in the main event on Sunday, but instead he watched

  Speaker 1: from the bench. She was on the Sidees, does he

  Speaker 1: Mike Bailey. So Speedball, I don't even know what he

  Speaker 1: was wearing. He was wearing some sort of jacket that

  Speaker 1: he looked like a character out of a Star Wars movie.

  Speaker 1: He walks to the ring and he hears what Knight
• 15:44
  Speaker 1: is saying, but he knows him. They work so well
• 15:48
  Speaker 1: as a team because they want to be the best.

  Speaker 1: But he says, Knight is impatient. He gets ahead of
• 15:53
  Speaker 1: himself and he makes mistakes. And what he did to
• 15:55
  Speaker 1: Darby was a mistake, but we can fix this. He says,

  Speaker 1: if he apologized eyes and owns up to what he did,

  Speaker 1: they can make things right. And he offers his hand
• 16:05
  Speaker 1: and Knight thinks about what he just heard. The crowd
• 16:09
  Speaker 1: starts chanting, say you're sorry, and Night kind of goes
• 16:13
  Speaker 1: in for the handshake, but he brushes him his shoulder,
• 16:17
  Speaker 1: shoulder tackles him, but he he shoulder checks. Said that'd
• 16:20
  Speaker 1: be kind of funny. He shoulder checked him, and he
• 16:23
  Speaker 1: made like he was leaving, and then he immediately turned
• 16:26
  Speaker 1: back around and he blasted Bailey in the head with
• 16:28
  Speaker 1: the microphone, and he acted like he was going to leave,
• 16:33
  Speaker 1: but then he came back and then he dropped Bailey
• 16:35
  Speaker 1: with a rock bottom to close the segment. As far
• 16:40
  Speaker 1: as his promo goes, there wasn't a whole lot to it.

  Speaker 1: I think at least we got the explanation. The explanation
• 16:46
  Speaker 1: at least it goes back to that promo from television
• 16:49
  Speaker 1: last week. And I've been saying this. I said, you know,
• 16:53
  Speaker 1: he's giving off very heelish tendencies. And if you are
• 16:57
  Speaker 1: going to turn any member of jetsby to hear you

  Speaker 1: turn Kevin Knight, you don't turn Mike Bailey because Speedball's
• 17:03
  Speaker 1: not a heel. It's not gonna work. So if you

  Speaker 1: were going to turn one of them, they turn the
• 17:08
  Speaker 1: right guy. And I think it's a role that he
• 17:11
  Speaker 1: can grow into. I mean, he's he's not what I
• 17:14
  Speaker 1: would call like a great promo where he's going out

  Speaker 1: there and it's like, oh my god, this guy's a
• 17:18
  Speaker 1: revelation with a live mic in his hand. He's not.

  Speaker 1: But this wasn't terrible, you know. I think he got
• 17:23
  Speaker 1: his point across. I think he has a certain confidence
• 17:26
  Speaker 1: and a certain swagger to him. It's just going to
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: be a case where you got to just get him
• 17:31
  Speaker 1: out there in front of a live crab more and more,
• 17:33
  Speaker 1: and as time goes on and you give him that
• 17:35
  Speaker 1: exposure on the microphone, you put that mic in his hand,
• 17:38
  Speaker 1: as long as he has something interesting to talk about.

  Speaker 1: I think he'll get better and better the more he does.

  Speaker 1: You just got you got to put him in those situations.

  Speaker 1: But as far as like this promo itself, it wasn't anything,
