- 0:02Speaker 1: Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Mellencamp and camera
- 0:06Speaker 1: je Edge.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Good morning, Tam, Good morning. Are you all dressed up?
- 0:23Speaker 3: Uh?
- 0:23Speaker 2: No, I just you know, I put on I put
- 0:25Speaker 2: on a button down shirt and took a shower, so
- 0:29Speaker 2: you know, things are really really rough. Lareen. Oh I am,
- 0:33Speaker 2: I'm so formal? Am I looking clueless with your bob? No,
- 0:38Speaker 2: you're not looking clueless? The bob, the white shirt. You
- 0:41Speaker 2: know what, I don't even know that I've ever watched clueless?
- 0:44Speaker 2: Will neither have most of the women who went to
- 0:48Speaker 2: that party, including Jessel because what in the actual health
- 0:52Speaker 2: she didn't even wear any of the clueless outfits?
- 0:55Speaker 3: I thought it from what I've seen, Is it like
- 0:57Speaker 3: a lot of pink and like tweet and things like that.
- 1:01Speaker 2: No, these are the people that nailed it. So, guys,
- 1:05Speaker 2: welcome to another episode of Two Teas and a Pod
- 1:09Speaker 2: with myself and Tamra. We are recapping Real Housewives of
- 1:13Speaker 2: New York season fifteen.
- 1:16Speaker 3: By the way, are clueless?
- 1:18Speaker 2: Who are who are clueless? But not watching Clueless? Tam
- 1:22Speaker 2: is actually your homework assignment for tonight.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I might have watched it, but when did this come out?
- 1:27Speaker 2: In nineteen ninety five. I don't teach usber what I
- 1:31Speaker 2: had for breakfast.
- 1:32Speaker 3: So this is probably the probably I probably have seen it.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Is that with Three Witherspoon. No, it's with Alicia Silverstone.
- 1:42Speaker 2: But these are the people that nailed the outfits. SI
- 1:47Speaker 2: nailed her outfit, brand nailed her outfit.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Wait wait, I was thinking, oh, what was cy wear?
- 1:53Speaker 3: And remind me s I was.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Wearing the I was like velvet with the red collar.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yes, Dion wore that actual outfit. Aaron wore
- 2:04Speaker 2: one of Alicia's Silverstone's outfits. And what about Jenna Lyons? Yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 2: Jenna Lyons nailed it because she was she was the
- 2:17Speaker 2: dad who was the lawyer, who was always on the phone.
- 2:19Speaker 2: But she really she took that prop to the next level, like,
- 2:22Speaker 2: oh my god, she did not put that phone down. Yeah.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I was like, come on, like, let's like she seriously
- 2:28Speaker 3: acted like she was talking on the phone the entire time.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I'm like, girl, isn't that brick in your hand getting
- 2:34Speaker 3: a little bit? You know, arm's getting tired.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I have a question for you before we even get
- 2:39Speaker 2: fully into this episode. Okay, one, would you throw such
- 2:47Speaker 2: an elaborate birthday party for yourself.
- 2:50Speaker 3: No, No, I don't. Like, I'm not big on celebrations
- 2:55Speaker 3: for me. I'm not a big like I don't want
- 2:58Speaker 3: a birthday party. Like any joke that this year I
- 3:01Speaker 3: had my surgery done two days before my birthday just
- 3:04Speaker 3: so I wouldn't have to celebrate my birthday.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just not.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Really, it's not me. I have friends that celebrate their
- 3:10Speaker 3: birthday for a whole month.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I like to celebrate my birthday as
- 3:15Speaker 2: much as the next person, but I most certainly don't
- 3:18Speaker 2: like to plan it myself, which would include multiple costume changes.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I feel like at this point, and I like, I
- 3:27Speaker 2: you know, I think Jessel was great TV last year.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I feel like at this point, she's now turned herself
- 3:33Speaker 2: into like a cartoon character of who she is. Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I think that sometimes after the first season, people get
- 3:41Speaker 3: too in their heads and then they start doing what
- 3:44Speaker 3: they think that the audience.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Wants to see. Now, let's be honest.
- 3:48Speaker 3: The audience, when we talk audience at social media, because
- 3:51Speaker 3: that's where we get most of our feedback from, is.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Crazy right now.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Yeah, they think what is good is bad, what's bad
- 3:59Speaker 3: is like you can't even rely on them. It's it's
- 4:03Speaker 3: bizarre world to me right now.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Well, I would like to implore everyone to please watch
- 4:11Speaker 2: the dark side of reality that we talked about. But
- 4:15Speaker 2: the shows that I forgot existed. Oh so it's not
- 4:19Speaker 2: just housewives. No, So episode one is all about the Swan.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Do you remember that show Harry was on the Swan? Yeah?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Well I didn't realize that, but the Swan was. It
- 4:30Speaker 2: was like they showed Terry. Yes, Terry did an interview,
- 4:34Speaker 2: That's what I thought.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I thought I heard that, but his was like more
- 4:37Speaker 3: of a was it? I would imagine his was more
- 4:39Speaker 3: of a positive interview versus what Vicky says.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I mean, yes, all of I mean, as you continue.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I mean, I watched I've beinge three episodes last night.
- 4:48Speaker 2: But the concept of the Swan was they were ugly
- 4:53Speaker 2: ducklings going in for a full life make up before
- 4:56Speaker 2: they got married.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:58Speaker 2: No, no, no, there was no marriage at the end.
- 5:00Speaker 2: At the end, they had a pageant camera. Wait, wasn't
- 5:04Speaker 2: there another show that Terry was on. Well he may
- 5:08Speaker 2: have been, but this was not about marriage. You had.
- 5:11Speaker 2: What they showed were these people that getting like fifteen
- 5:15Speaker 2: plastic surgeries. Then they would be with a personal trainer
- 5:19Speaker 2: working out with all of their bandages on all new
- 5:22Speaker 2: teeth and new teeth and all. It is unbelievable, unbelievable.
- 5:28Speaker 2: The first episode that I watched was on Swan The Swan.
- 5:32Speaker 2: The second episode I watched was on The Kid's Nation,
- 5:37Speaker 2: which was a show where you sent a bunch of
- 5:39Speaker 2: children to like a frontier type location to fend for
- 5:43Speaker 2: themselves and create a new society with no parents, no
- 5:48Speaker 2: prepared food, no beds.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I mean, it sounds like jail for them, I mean.
- 5:53Speaker 2: And then the third episode was Joe Millionaire and I
- 5:58Speaker 2: I'm hooked, Like I can't wait to finish the pod
- 6:00Speaker 2: so I can just keep watching these ups.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Well, okay, so the Cherry did have another show and
- 6:04Speaker 3: it was called Bridal Plastic.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Oh well, I know I got those two confused.
- 6:09Speaker 3: I knew there was one where they were getting ready
- 6:11Speaker 3: for the wedding or something like that, but oh my god,
- 6:13Speaker 3: we should go back and watch those.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Oh, like, I it's guys, do what what other interviews
- 6:19Speaker 2: did they get? I mean, they got a lot of
- 6:22Speaker 2: interviews of the contestants that were on each of these shows.
- 6:26Speaker 2: But the weird part about the show is like they're
- 6:28Speaker 2: kind of each of the contestants are kind of complaining
- 6:31Speaker 2: about the process, but then the coorse at the end,
- 6:34Speaker 2: they all wrap it up in a nice boat. They're like,
- 6:37Speaker 2: I actually wouldn't be where I was today. It was there.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I hear there's some bitter betties in there that are
- 6:44Speaker 3: gonna Yeah, it's just sleeping. I mean, now, where can
- 6:47Speaker 3: where can people watch this?
- 6:48Speaker 2: So I thought it somebody told me it was on Vice,
- 6:51Speaker 2: but I couldn't figure out how to. I couldn't either,
- 6:55Speaker 2: but I did just zip on over to Apple TV
- 6:58Speaker 2: and pay nineteen ninety nine for the full season so
- 7:05Speaker 2: I can continue on my binge session. Uh, guys, don't
- 7:10Speaker 2: sleep on this. It's going. It's going. All of the
- 7:13Speaker 2: things that.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Time that we have spent on this topic is insanity.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I think that we need a separate podcast just to
- 7:21Speaker 3: talk about pop culture.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I mean we I mean just to talk about past
- 7:27Speaker 2: reality television shows. I mean and the fact that things
- 7:31Speaker 2: people get mad about. Now. I'm like, go back and
- 7:33Speaker 2: watch the Slawn.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Right, go back and watch early seasons of Vicky on
- 7:40Speaker 3: the Housewives.
- 7:41Speaker 2: She offended everybody. I mean, it's bananas. Well, I guess
- 7:45Speaker 2: we should get back to New York. It's to get
- 7:48Speaker 2: back to them.
- 7:49Speaker 3: We haven't even started well because it's like.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Honestly, well, SI gets a new house upstate there there
- 8:08Speaker 2: in the summers and weekends, and SI has decided it's
- 8:12Speaker 2: time to take her mom out of the box in
- 8:14Speaker 2: her closet and bring her upstate. I gotta love like
- 8:19Speaker 2: the whiplash from Whole Foods is so expensive. I'm such
- 8:23Speaker 2: a regular person. I'm planting my own garden. Side of Oh,
- 8:27Speaker 2: look at our second house in upstate New York. I know,
- 8:31Speaker 2: I know.
- 8:32Speaker 3: I mean, she's growing her own garden, which is great.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I've been wanting to do that forever. I tried in
- 8:36Speaker 3: Big Bear. The weather was too extreme. It's not easy
- 8:40Speaker 3: to grow a garden. Even if you buy a damn
- 8:42Speaker 3: tomato plant and put in your backyard.
- 8:45Speaker 2: It's not easy to keep it alive.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I don't even think I can keep in the watering
- 8:49Speaker 3: in the sun, and it's a lot it's easier. That's
- 8:52Speaker 3: why Whole Foods is so expensive.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Well. Also, I can't even keep like dead plants alive,
- 8:59Speaker 2: like these are just like the I can't even keep
- 9:04Speaker 2: me fake plans plans, but that I mean, I can't
- 9:08Speaker 2: even keep an orcand alive, and they're supposed to be
- 9:11Speaker 2: the easiest ones. Okay, Sosi is going to therapy.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Do you think her going to therapy has something to
- 9:18Speaker 3: do with the show, because I felt like as soon
- 9:21Speaker 3: as I said I was going to therapy.
- 9:22Speaker 2: But like, oh, you know, Jeff galling because everybody hates you.
- 9:25Speaker 3: I'm like, no, it's actually something that's been on the
- 9:27Speaker 3: works for quite a while. Now. Did she has she
- 9:31Speaker 3: said why she's going to therapy?
- 9:32Speaker 2: Did I miss that it was? I think it's probably
- 9:35Speaker 2: because her mom passed away, Okay, And I think she
- 9:40Speaker 2: probably watched back the show and saw some of her
- 9:42Speaker 2: behaviors and probably wanted to make some changes. So I
- 9:45Speaker 2: think when people say like it's because of the show,
- 9:48Speaker 2: which is a good.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Thing, Yeah, actually watch yourself and behavior.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah for sure. So whether she's doing it because
- 9:57Speaker 2: she watched herself on the show and realized that she
- 10:00Speaker 2: had some issues she wanted to work.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Through, Okay, I have some concerns. What I love Cy,
- 10:07Speaker 3: I love her mouth, and I love how she does things.
- 10:10Speaker 2: And I'm like, don't become too calm. Well, what I
- 10:14Speaker 2: did appreciate about Ci in this scene was. I feel
- 10:17Speaker 2: like Ci and her husband have a natural, normal, good
- 10:21Speaker 2: relationship and I enjoy watching it.
- 10:23Speaker 3: By the way, has her husband filmed before? Because I
- 10:26Speaker 3: looked at him like as if.
- 10:27Speaker 2: He was a stranger. He asked before. He doesn't film
- 10:31Speaker 2: a ton, But I mean even when this is his
- 10:34Speaker 2: first time this season, right, I think his first time
- 10:37Speaker 2: this season? I do not remember him from last year.
- 10:40Speaker 3: What?
- 10:41Speaker 2: No, did he only film a couple times or something? No,
- 10:44Speaker 2: but every time he filmed he was very likable. Yeah,
- 10:47Speaker 2: I mean he seemed likable. I'm not saying he's not likable.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I just I'm like, who's this guy? And you know what,
- 10:52Speaker 2: I sometimes get long nose hairs as well, so I
- 10:55Speaker 2: felt understand.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I have a grey So I don't have gray hair
- 10:58Speaker 3: that I know of, because blonde whatever, but I have
- 11:02Speaker 3: a gray nose hair.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I have a lot of gray hairs, and they are
- 11:08Speaker 2: esky little buggers. They are stronger than any other hairs.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Why can't why can't gray hairs just behave the same
- 11:15Speaker 2: way as other hairs. They have to be stiff, rough
- 11:18Speaker 2: and mean, yeah they do. But then we get to
- 11:23Speaker 2: Jessel planning a clueless themed birthday party. Jessel is going
- 11:27Speaker 2: to dress as the main character share and have outfit changes.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I don't mind outfit changes, I guess, but like I
- 11:36Speaker 2: do mind going to a birthday party where somebody would
- 11:39Speaker 2: rather leave early to go get a spray tan than
- 11:41Speaker 2: stay at because of that.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Okay, because a nine to forty spray tan.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I can't even imagine that means you have to sleep
- 11:47Speaker 2: smelling like that all night.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Well yeah, and I've done that before, but it I'm
- 11:53Speaker 3: just shocked, Like, you know, you're filming and you're like, hey,
- 11:57Speaker 3: I got a dip at nine because I have a
- 12:00Speaker 3: nine to forty spray tan.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I mean, I think it's it's the ultimate like shade, Like,
- 12:06Speaker 2: I can't even both. I'd rather get a spray tan
- 12:09Speaker 2: than party jessel. Yeah, not great. Then we see a
- 12:15Speaker 2: little bit of Jenna, who's now the editor in chief
- 12:17Speaker 2: of the online fashion magazine, where everybody sat there and
- 12:20Speaker 2: acted like they had no idea who she.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Was whatever, or they all were like a but I'm like,
- 12:27Speaker 3: have you never met before?
- 12:29Speaker 1: It?
- 12:31Speaker 2: I like that. I also didn't know what editor at
- 12:33Speaker 2: large met, so I did appreciate that they broke that
- 12:36Speaker 2: down for us. I thought Editor at Large was just
- 12:38Speaker 2: like I'm big time, but it's like I'm like the
- 12:40Speaker 2: top editor. It's I'm so big time, I'm so Jenna
- 12:44Speaker 2: Lyon's big time that I don't even have to show
- 12:47Speaker 2: up into the office.
- 12:49Speaker 3: And that's why, that's why she doesn't know too many
- 12:52Speaker 3: of the employees.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I think a lot she just oversees. But she's
- 12:57Speaker 2: excited to see the shoot aspect. She did plug her
- 13:02Speaker 2: other businesses, which she has a lot and she's rich,
- 13:06Speaker 2: and she has a fancy car and a lot of
- 13:08Speaker 2: diamonds and she's rich. Well that's how rich people do.
- 13:10Speaker 3: They have a lot of different you know, yeah, things
- 13:13Speaker 3: going on. They have startup companies, they invest their money
- 13:16Speaker 3: in new companies. They do little things here and there.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. But then Raquel goes to UBA's to see
- 13:26Speaker 2: her art. Uba has been painting her own pieces. Uba
- 13:30Speaker 2: immigrated to Canada at fifteen, started modeling, and then Uba
- 13:34Speaker 2: struggled to book because every agent only had one black model.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Uba says Brent told her she was going to be
- 13:42Speaker 2: edited as an angry black woman. They're really setting up this,
- 13:48Speaker 2: Brend is trying to produce the show narrative.
- 13:53Speaker 3: So basically, Brenn went to UBA's room off camera to
- 13:57Speaker 3: try to produce her and but SI was the one
- 14:02Speaker 3: making her upset.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I not really understand.
- 14:07Speaker 3: I can't understand this at all. And the thing, I
- 14:10Speaker 3: had no idea that Canada was a place for models
- 14:16Speaker 3: to launch their career.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Well, I didn't really understand probably any of the fights
- 14:23Speaker 2: on the show this season. I mean, the thing is
- 14:25Speaker 2: making sense. Also, you know what is not making sense?
- 14:28Speaker 2: My fridge is full of fish no beef.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Is that like a saying or was she actually saying
- 14:33Speaker 3: her frigerator was filled with fish?
- 14:36Speaker 2: Who said that? Uba said it? But then Uba said
- 14:39Speaker 2: she ate all these lambs. I don't understand.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I thought it was like a like it meant something,
- 14:45Speaker 3: my fridge is full of fish no beef.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Oh, I think she's saying like I'm not trying to fight.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Maybe who knows, I've never said that saying. But then
- 14:56Speaker 2: they talk a little bit about, oh, she's trying to
- 14:59Speaker 2: say she has beef with people. Yeah, I mean, okay.
- 15:05Speaker 3: She has just a different way of a different analogy
- 15:08Speaker 3: than a lot of people.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean I think probably so do we. But
- 15:12Speaker 2: I mean I don't know all the sayings out there,
- 15:15Speaker 2: but I do know that once again, we didn't really
- 15:17Speaker 2: get to learn that much about Raquel. Nope, not this episode.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Now.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I mean, we're on episode five, and I know that
- 15:27Speaker 2: Raquel was once a model, and I know it's a motorcycle,
- 15:33Speaker 2: and I know that Rebecca Minkoff doesn't drink on the
- 15:38Speaker 2: show but drinks out off the show, and she has
- 15:41Speaker 2: a baby she's nursing that has teeth. That's all I
- 15:45Speaker 2: got out then, So we get kind of through this,
- 15:52Speaker 2: not fully understanding the fight because clearly it happened off camera.
- 15:56Speaker 2: And then we get to size plan to bury some
- 15:59Speaker 2: of her mother's ashes and a new tree. SI gets
- 16:02Speaker 2: panicked and has her aunt opened the bag. SI and
- 16:05Speaker 2: her aunt get emotional spreading the ass ashes. I feel
- 16:09Speaker 2: like these real raw scenes are important and grounding the
- 16:14Speaker 2: women with the audience.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Yeah, No, I appreciated this scene. I like this scene
- 16:20Speaker 3: when it comes to personal story stuff. A lot of
- 16:22Speaker 3: times on housewives shows, I'm like, really, do we really
- 16:25Speaker 3: care about this?
- 16:26Speaker 2: But this is really something that I thought was touching
- 16:29Speaker 2: and sweet. But is it just me or a Si,
- 16:32Speaker 2: the only one giving her real life right now so far,
- 16:37Speaker 2: kind of feels like it. Well, No, Aaron is too.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Aaron's talking about her mom, who's got cancer and issues
- 16:44Speaker 3: has been with you know, selling the bitcoin. Yeah, and
- 16:48Speaker 3: I was just thinking like, okay, I want to be cremated,
- 16:51Speaker 3: and I love cherry blossoms because that's what I had
- 16:54Speaker 3: all over.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Our tables at our wedding reception.
- 16:58Speaker 3: So I want to be planeted under a cherry blossomed
- 17:02Speaker 3: tree in the Bravo parking lot, and the Bravo parking
- 17:07Speaker 3: lot everybody, to everyone that visits can spit on me.
- 17:12Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I don't know that you're gonna
- 17:14Speaker 2: get a lot of flowers left there. Then Jessel, Aaron,
- 17:28Speaker 2: and Brenn go shopping. Aaron says she saw a post
- 17:31Speaker 2: of Si and Jenna. Aaron says it's bizarre and she
- 17:35Speaker 2: can't stand the fakeness. Aaron says Jenna hasn't reached out
- 17:38Speaker 2: to her once. Brennan says Uba has been crazy and
- 17:42Speaker 2: Ci owes her an apology. Brenn says Si is a
- 17:45Speaker 2: miserable troll who lives under the Brooklyn Bridge.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I don't I'm sorry, I just don't understand what their
- 17:52Speaker 3: problem is with Ci and I just.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Well, it seems like this don't land because I don't
- 17:58Speaker 2: even know what Aaron is mad about, and Bren's energy
- 18:02Speaker 2: doesn't make any sense. What is mad.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Because she was good friends with Jenna and then Cy
- 18:12Speaker 3: swooped in and now she feels like she.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Got kicked out of the cool girls club. That's the
- 18:16Speaker 2: only thing I can think of. But I think I
- 18:23Speaker 2: feel like maybe Jenna ebbs and flows in her relationships
- 18:28Speaker 2: with the women, but like it really doesn't make sense
- 18:31Speaker 2: because especially because Aaron later in the episode makes it
- 18:35Speaker 2: seem like she's upset at Brent, like Bren is the
- 18:38Speaker 2: reason Jenna isn't as close with Aaron. And then also
- 18:41Speaker 2: Brent saying that she had Jenna's back later in the
- 18:44Speaker 2: episode also didn't make any sense because I didn't see
- 18:46Speaker 2: her having Jenna's back.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I know, it's all confusing, and I'm starting to think
- 18:50Speaker 3: that they're fighting just to fight.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'm starting to think that there's a complete situation that
- 18:56Speaker 2: we're missing off camera because we also saw I mean,
- 19:00Speaker 2: I saw this on the world Wide Web on Instagram.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I don't remember where, but it's got to be true.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean everything on the web is true,
- 19:08Speaker 2: but that the women couldn't even that someone got sent
- 19:12Speaker 2: home early from the final trip and they had to
- 19:15Speaker 2: be separated and Bob oh, Yes, Jessel.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Said that at the event in London, the Broadlo event
- 19:25Speaker 3: in London, on a panel.
- 19:26Speaker 2: She said that, Yeah, I'm sure.
- 19:30Speaker 3: She said there's two people that won't even be around
- 19:32Speaker 3: each other. Yeah, so have we not learned from Jersey people?
- 19:36Speaker 2: That doesn't work for somebody, there's always going to be
- 19:39Speaker 2: a backlash. Then everyone arrives at Jessel's clueless party. Aaron
- 19:45Speaker 2: tells Cy that Jenna is not an actual friend and
- 19:48Speaker 2: she's done investing time. Sie says, Jenna probably has no clue.
- 19:54Speaker 2: So this is what I'm confused about. I thought that
- 19:56Speaker 2: you guys were mad at SI, but now you're confiding
- 19:58Speaker 2: inside and then tell Jenna. Yeah, it makes no sense
- 20:03Speaker 2: at all. Then Brent tells Jenna she and Aaron had
- 20:06Speaker 2: a conversation and if she becomes buddy buddy with sigh,
- 20:09Speaker 2: she will not be happy. Jenna says she will be
- 20:12Speaker 2: uh cautious, but wishes Aaron had come to her directly.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I'm so confused. As if I don't understand any of this,
- 20:24Speaker 2: and you don't. I don't don't get the as if reference.
- 20:27Speaker 2: It's also very upsetting to me. I'm confusing, as.
- 20:30Speaker 3: If as if Jessel didn't tell every guest that walked
- 20:35Speaker 3: in that she's got four outfit changes, but I only
- 20:38Speaker 3: saw three. I only saw three two. Pavitt said that,
- 20:43Speaker 3: you know, all these holidays are just bullshit from the
- 20:47Speaker 3: reading card companies, and I kind of I'm not a
- 20:52Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I'm not like big into like I don't
- 20:57Speaker 3: know what's it?
- 20:59Speaker 2: What's a lover one? What's the lover one?
- 21:02Speaker 3: Valentine's Day one Valentine's Day and all these just like
- 21:09Speaker 3: it's just another day people, just another date, and it's
- 21:13Speaker 3: a day that makes people feel bad about themselves. It's
- 21:16Speaker 3: like the birthday, not necessarily the birthday. But what Bobbitt
- 21:20Speaker 3: was saying about all these you know, he was actually
- 21:26Speaker 3: grewuping in a birthday into things like you know, Valentine.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I mean, our memory is so on point, like.
- 21:34Speaker 3: We I know, I can't remember anything right now. I'm
- 21:37Speaker 3: so I have so much ado today.
- 21:40Speaker 2: But I do know that I remembered that none of
- 21:44Speaker 2: these arguments made any sense. I also appreciate that the
- 21:52Speaker 2: women paid no attention into trying to make this even
- 21:55Speaker 2: seem like a fun party.
- 21:59Speaker 3: It didn't seem like it was a very fun party.
- 22:01Speaker 3: The energy was very off.
- 22:02Speaker 2: But also what about when bren tells Rebecca she should
- 22:05Speaker 2: have a drink and Rebecca thinks it's weird bren is
- 22:08Speaker 2: constantly asking her to drink. Bren says Rebecca is boring
- 22:11Speaker 2: and where fun goes to die? Do you understand Rebecca's
- 22:16Speaker 2: perspective that bren is pressuring her to drink is weird.
- 22:19Speaker 3: I don't think that you should pressure somebody to drink
- 22:21Speaker 3: that doesn't drink. And if she doesn't want to drink,
- 22:24Speaker 3: I don't know. If it's maybe she just doesn't want
- 22:26Speaker 3: to drink on camera and she drinks in her normal
- 22:30Speaker 3: life and that's annoying to Brin or Brenn wants some excitement,
- 22:35Speaker 3: or she wants to see she wants to see her
- 22:40Speaker 3: in a different light.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I don't know what it is. But like, honestly, Brent,
- 22:44Speaker 2: maybe just let the producers produce.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Didn't someone call you boring on your show?
- 22:49Speaker 2: Did they say it to your face? Was it suttin? Yeah?
- 22:52Speaker 2: Then she said it to your face. She said you're
- 22:55Speaker 2: pregnant and even worse, you're boring. Oh my god, do
- 23:00Speaker 2: you respond to that? I was pregnant? And I cried,
- 23:04Speaker 2: that's kind of mean.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I mean, what do you expect from a pregnant woman?
- 23:08Speaker 2: But she didn't even know me. And the reason that
- 23:10Speaker 2: she said the boring thing was because there was like
- 23:13Speaker 2: chatter about it because she panders to Twitter, and so
- 23:16Speaker 2: she wanted to like get it to me and I,
- 23:20Speaker 2: you know, it is what it is. She still has
- 23:23Speaker 2: a job there and I don't.
- 23:24Speaker 3: So it worked, but we missed it last week's episode.
- 23:29Speaker 3: But what did you think about briend coaching Rebecca and
- 23:32Speaker 3: trying to plan a fight?
- 23:35Speaker 2: But I think that's that's the issue between this and
- 23:38Speaker 2: now when we go back and we see that clip
- 23:41Speaker 2: from last week of Brent trying to, you know, help
- 23:44Speaker 2: coach Rebecca to cause other issues, it's getting tiring. But
- 23:48Speaker 2: somethings I think it's a problem.
- 23:49Speaker 3: It's a problem with the show when you start doing
- 23:51Speaker 3: things like that. It shows the camera doesn't lie girls,
- 23:54Speaker 3: and they're going to show if you're making shit up
- 23:56Speaker 3: or doing anything like that.
- 23:59Speaker 2: But I also think if you are a drinker and
- 24:02Speaker 2: you're not drinking on the show on purpose because you're
- 24:07Speaker 2: scared of what may come out of you, it probably
- 24:10Speaker 2: means you got some pretty good secrets and some problems.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Well, it also probably means you shouldn't be on the show.
- 24:15Speaker 3: I mean, if you have a drinking probably not drinking,
- 24:17Speaker 3: that's a different story. But if you just don't want
- 24:19Speaker 3: to drink because you don't want let your guard down,
- 24:21Speaker 3: you know, one or two drinks whatever.
- 24:23Speaker 2: But yeah, I think that's the part that was pissing
- 24:28Speaker 2: Brent off. Now, I don't think I think if if
- 24:31Speaker 2: Rebecca was sober or saying I don't drink, but her
- 24:35Speaker 2: issue is you're not being transparent to who you are.
- 24:38Speaker 2: And I heard that when you're with your friends you drink,
- 24:41Speaker 2: but you won't drink with us. But I mean, honestly,
- 24:44Speaker 2: if I was a part of the Scientology church, I'd
- 24:46Speaker 2: probably be scared to drink and share some of those
- 24:48Speaker 2: secrets as well.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Right, do you think that we're ever we're ever going
- 24:54Speaker 3: to hear anything about the scientology part of her life?
- 24:57Speaker 2: She said seven words so far. I doubt like part
- 25:00Speaker 2: of her ten words this season it's going to be
- 25:02Speaker 2: about Scientology. You're right. She didn't even dress in theme
- 25:07Speaker 2: like and isn't she a fashion person? Shouldn't I don't know,
- 25:12Speaker 2: I mean, do I think Brennan should be producing Rebecca. No.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Do I think Rebecca seems like she doesn't want to
- 25:19Speaker 2: be there? Yes? Yeah, and also it's like, no one's
- 25:25Speaker 2: forcing you to be here. You you signed up? You
- 25:27Speaker 2: said yes. She's probably having second thought. She's like, what
- 25:30Speaker 2: the hell did I sign it up for? I want
- 25:32Speaker 2: to Probably all the press that came out before the
- 25:35Speaker 2: season even started probably got her a little afraid. Yeah.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Then Abe tells Jenna that there's unresolved tension between her
- 25:44Speaker 2: and Aaron, and Jenna questions where the tension is coming from.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Aaron tells Jenna that she doesn't want to be close
- 25:52Speaker 2: to her and thinks she believes what Brenn told her.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Jenna says there's some truth to it.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Aaron tells thank god Abe realized he's putting his foot
- 26:02Speaker 3: in his mouth and said, I gotta shut this down.
- 26:06Speaker 3: He was getting too involved in housewife chatter.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Abe, what are you doing? Yeah? He's like, I'm gonna
- 26:12Speaker 2: shut my mouth.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I'm like, good idea, Abe, that is very is the
- 26:16Speaker 3: smartest thing anybody's ever said in this entire episode.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Listen, Abe, you've already got stuck it yourself into it
- 26:22Speaker 2: enough with the bitcoin mine, I.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Feel like Abe is like somebody that's always like he's
- 26:27Speaker 3: go sit in the corner. Yeah, Abe, abe to a corner.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Abe behave. But then Aaron tells Jenna that herne Brend's
- 26:37Speaker 2: relationship feels inauthentic. Jenna says she barely talks to anyone.
- 26:44Speaker 2: This isn't a shock to me, which is goes back
- 26:46Speaker 2: to my point. I think Jenna's going to talk to
- 26:48Speaker 2: whoever she needs to to continue on on the show.
- 26:51Speaker 2: And then Jenna tells Aaron she will reach out more
- 26:54Speaker 2: and she'll get better at communication. But I mean, we
- 26:58Speaker 2: we know we have a pro album. When a husband
- 27:00Speaker 2: is the one trying to move a storyline along, I know,
- 27:05Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I just don't know what Erin is taking this out
- 27:07Speaker 3: on Jenna when she should be talking to Brent. I
- 27:10Speaker 3: like we've said we're missing something, something is not making sense. Erin,
- 27:14Speaker 3: I feel like she's making something out of nothing.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Well, I think her feelings are hurt that you know,
- 27:21Speaker 2: Jenna was all close and buddy buddy with her and
- 27:25Speaker 2: then hasn't reached out now that she'ld sitting the fan
- 27:27Speaker 2: for her. But also, Aaron, you can't tell every cast
- 27:30Speaker 2: member who will listen how much you can't stand Jenna.
- 27:33Speaker 2: And then when Jenna finally gets the guts to ask,
- 27:37Speaker 2: say nothing is wrong, Like.
- 27:40Speaker 3: So do you think Brenn and Aaron are fighting over
- 27:42Speaker 3: Jenna Lyon's friendship?
- 27:45Speaker 2: Is that basically it? But I don't get it because
- 27:48Speaker 2: can't we all just get along? Can we all be friends?
- 27:50Speaker 4: Oh?
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yeah, isn't that how it works? That's how is one
- 27:53Speaker 2: on one?
- 27:54Speaker 4: But this this she's mad the Brent swooped in, but
- 27:59Speaker 4: then Matt sigh, and then Matt that they're sharing glam
- 28:03Speaker 4: and then Matt like there's a lot.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Of glam people in New York. Like if this is
- 28:07Speaker 2: going to cause.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Them funny, I couldn't find any everybody's busy, Brenda hooked
- 28:15Speaker 3: me up.
- 28:17Speaker 2: The show just feels like everybody is self producing way
- 28:21Speaker 2: too much. Also, if Aaron's problem is with BRN, why
- 28:26Speaker 2: didn't you just say it to BRN? I kind of
- 28:29Speaker 2: wish that they.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Would throw in some oh geez into the New York show.
- 28:35Speaker 2: This show is making me feel like is one plus
- 28:38Speaker 2: one equal three? Like I think?
- 28:42Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:42Speaker 3: I just I think because you know, New York was
- 28:45Speaker 3: around for so long and now just rebooting the entire
- 28:49Speaker 3: cast is so difficult and so hard to get to
- 28:52Speaker 3: know everybody. I wish that they could throw in, you know, Durnda.
- 28:58Speaker 2: But who could they even throw in?
- 29:00Speaker 3: And they could, But the thing is is they cast
- 29:04Speaker 3: very young girls on this Durande Luanne Sonya. I mean
- 29:09Speaker 3: they would woost that ship up. I'm telling you. I
- 29:14Speaker 3: mean Jenda Lyons is the age you know of. I
- 29:17Speaker 3: believe closer to the age of durand De Luanne Sonya.
- 29:21Speaker 2: But also I don't really understand bringing in new people
- 29:26Speaker 2: and us never seeing them, Like just maybe if they
- 29:30Speaker 2: would have just kept the original cast of an or
- 29:35Speaker 2: no even just the original cast from last season, but
- 29:38Speaker 2: bringing in Rebecca Raquel, is there someone else they brought
- 29:43Speaker 2: into Like it just feels like, I don't know, we
- 29:47Speaker 2: got we need something? Yeah, which is which we need?
- 29:51Speaker 2: We need a few of the OG's.
- 29:53Speaker 3: I think personally, I think that it would be a
- 29:55Speaker 3: good mix.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Well, Potomac did it right, Orange County did it right.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Cold You.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Could you imagine Jorinda at that conversation. She'd be yelling
- 30:06Speaker 3: at Aaron, what are you talking about?
- 30:09Speaker 2: That's what you said to me, That's what you said.
- 30:13Speaker 2: What's her saying when she does clip clip clip, Yeah,
- 30:19Speaker 2: I mean we need some action. We need some Dorenda
- 30:21Speaker 2: on that show. We need some action. We don't need
- 30:23Speaker 2: just makeovers and seeing everybody's new like new looks. I
- 30:28Speaker 2: don't need to looks is not enough to carry a
- 30:31Speaker 2: show for me.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Wow, it's new were we had episode five?
- 30:36Speaker 2: Yeah? How many episodes do they have?
- 30:39Speaker 1: No?
- 30:40Speaker 2: Just kidding? Is it twenty four episodes? Oh? No way,
- 30:49Speaker 2: I'm like bullshit. Our producers just said, you guys, I
- 30:52Speaker 2: can't with you both believing that there's twenty four episodes?
- 30:55Speaker 2: Are both okay, we're gullible. We're gullible.
- 30:58Speaker 3: We have a lot going on. I'm New York for
- 31:00Speaker 3: twenty four hours coming home. Then we have our live show. Guys,
- 31:04Speaker 3: if you haven't bought your tickets yet.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Buy some tickets. We want to see you. And don't
- 31:09Speaker 2: forget to listen to Twat's flashback because.
- 31:13Speaker 3: If you don't want to, it's okay, you don't have to.
- 31:15Speaker 2: No, no, you should go.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Back and watch me my first season on this show.
- 31:19Speaker 3: And all I can think is why did they ever
- 31:21Speaker 3: keep me? I? What are the hottest housewife that's wife
- 31:26Speaker 3: in Orange County?
- 31:28Speaker 2: Oh? My god, it's out Thursday night. But you guys
- 31:32Speaker 2: watched the show season three, episode one and two. Listen
- 31:36Speaker 2: to Twat's flashback. Well, I can't wait to see you
- 31:39Speaker 2: in person so we can insult each other face.
- 31:42Speaker 3: I know we have the first together and then then
- 31:45Speaker 3: the following week we're going to the hotel to hang out.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I know, are we going to Mariah Carey?
- 31:51Speaker 3: I'm hoping we are. She's performing what's the name?
- 31:54Speaker 2: Yes, we're going to Carey? Oh my god? And so
- 31:57Speaker 2: what is the name of them?
- 32:00Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 32:00Speaker 3: I can never remember. I see the signs when I
- 32:02Speaker 3: go to Big Beer all the time and we're doing
- 32:06Speaker 3: Can we interview Mariah Carey?
- 32:07Speaker 2: You think that she should be up for it. I'm
- 32:10Speaker 2: hoping that she'll do a little in hotel room cribs
- 32:13Speaker 2: for us.
- 32:14Speaker 3: She's like, who are you? She doesn't even know who
- 32:16Speaker 3: we are.
- 32:17Speaker 2: She's like, I don't know you. Who did she say
- 32:20Speaker 2: that about? Was it about Jennifer Lopez? I think, yeah,
- 32:25Speaker 2: maybe we could ask j Lo. She'll come with us.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what, we better chance of getting Matt
- 32:31Speaker 3: Tamon and Ben Affleck.
- 32:35Speaker 2: The only person getting worse press than Tarama right now
- 32:38Speaker 2: is Jennifer Lopez. I know, right, good, Oh my gosh,
- 32:46Speaker 2: all right.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Well love, at least they're talking, you know, keep them talking,
- 32:50Speaker 3: Keep them talking, They keep.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Talking, Mariah, when you listen to this pod, as I'm
- 32:55Speaker 2: sure you do, we can't wait to talk to you
- 32:58Speaker 2: that way. Don't wait to be on stage with you. Yeah,
- 33:00Speaker 2: that would be that would be a party. Bye.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah,
