- 0:00I meet someone in the weekends.
- 0:05Oh my god, fun, who?
- 0:06Like an exciting famous person?
- 0:07Famous in our eyes.
- 0:09Was it like an ex-boyfriend or something?
- 0:10No.
- 0:11Oh my god, who?
- 0:12No, I texted and told you about it.
- 0:13Did you?
- 0:14Yeah.
- 0:15Oh, I was at a bar.
- 0:18I hope he's listening.
- 0:19I was like, I'll meet you and you on the pod.
- 0:21Thanks, John.
- 0:22Gonna pull.
- 0:23I know.
- 0:24No, I wasn't that pissed, but I was at brilliant corners
- 0:27and London, it's like a fun.
- 0:30Oh, I love that place.
- 0:31Yeah, yeah.
- 0:32And we were just sitting outside.
- 0:33You know, someone just sees you for a little bit too long,
- 0:35you're like, okay, buddy.
- 0:38And you thought, I must be looking really hot tonight.
- 0:41Keep staring, mate.
- 0:44No, and then he was like, oh, I love your podcast.
- 0:46And I was like, hang on, is that a British accent
- 0:48that I hear?
- 0:49I was like, do you have any tie to New Zealand?
- 0:51Nice.
- 0:52And he's like, no.
- 0:54I was like, none at all.
- 0:55How did he find it?
- 0:56And his girlfriend was like, what's the podcast?
- 0:59Like, she, yeah.
- 1:00And he was like, oh, I just got served it
- 1:02on some algorithm, something.
- 1:03But, yeah, male and British.
- 1:07That is tip to tip.
- 1:08I must say, I am always so pleasantly surprised.
- 1:12But I also just don't know what to say after that.
- 1:14You're like, okay.
- 1:15And you're sitting opposite each other.
- 1:17You know?
- 1:18And then you sit like this to lose.
- 1:19You just have to think of some small talk.
- 1:21Do you know what I mean?
- 1:21No, I did.
- 1:22I was trying to channel Sophie Horane.
- 1:23We were like, oh, so we did you hear the podcast?
- 1:25But then it's like a flight, right?
- 1:28You sit next to this person.
- 1:30Oh, enjoy your night.
- 1:32It's like the walkward when you're like,
- 1:33by and then you both walk in the same direction.
- 1:35Walkward, I like that.
- 1:36I, I find every time someone sees,
- 1:39oh, I listen to the podcast.
- 1:41Like the other day I was walking through London
- 1:43and the girl was walking towards me
- 1:44and I was like, cool outfit.
- 1:46Love her shoes.
- 1:47Great.
- 1:48And she just like kind of smiled at me
- 1:49and then like yelled back, being like,
- 1:50I love the girl.
- 1:52Cheers.
- 1:52And I was like, oh, my God, cool.
- 1:55And I feel like whenever it happens
- 1:57or whenever I meet someone who listens to the podcast,
- 1:59I think I would be friends with you.
- 2:01You're cool.
- 2:02Do you know what I mean?
- 2:03Like that to me is the ultimate compliment.
- 2:04I also just love, I don't know.
- 2:06It's a really nice feeling when people do.
- 2:08Yeah.
- 2:09Yeah.
- 2:10Yeah, thank you.
- 2:11I'm like, do you want to hang out sometimes?
- 2:11I know.
- 2:12No, it's really, it's like, it's really nice.
- 2:15Yeah.
- 2:16Can anyone else that's a UK citizen
- 2:19that's listening to this podcast
- 2:21forward it to like 55 other UK citizens that you know?
- 2:24Yeah.
- 2:25We're really, like, we love our New Zealand following.
- 2:27We love everyone in Australia.
- 2:29We love everyone everywhere.
- 2:30But you know what?
- 2:31We need to get the word out.
- 2:32The UK needs to know about the current.
- 2:34Yeah.
- 2:35Needs to know about financial receive,
- 2:36financial education, investing.
- 2:38We could honestly look at getting a bribe for those.
- 2:40Why are you looking at the camera?
- 2:41I wasn't, I wasn't actually,
- 2:42I was just looking at this strange poodle necklace
- 2:44you're wearing.
- 2:44It's an H.
- 2:47Oh, it looks like a doll.
- 2:49I know.
- 2:52Where did it come from?
- 2:54Um, I got it for Christmas.
- 2:56From who?
- 2:57From Foulman.
- 2:58Oh, cute.
- 2:59H, H.
- 3:00Okay, I'm going to give more context.
- 3:02This necklace is like, it looks like twisted metal.
- 3:05Like, as if someone's tried to make an H
- 3:07and it's accidentally got a poodle head.
- 3:09Is what I would say.
- 3:10Yeah, it's like, it's really cute.
- 3:12Geography kind of vibes.
- 3:13Yeah, yeah.
- 3:14If you would like to see it.
- 3:17You can watch it on YouTube.
- 3:19And 4K.
- 3:20So you were able to see all the twists and turns.
- 3:22What do you recommend Emily?
- 3:23Is this good promotion?
- 3:24Yes, yes, great, great.
- 3:25Yeah, H is my last name.
- 3:27Harris.
- 3:28Nice.
- 3:29And his last name.
- 3:30Good.
- 3:31Nothing, yeah.
- 3:32Yeah, nice, nice, nice, nice.
- 3:33Yeah.
- 3:34So it's a subtle instead of being like,
- 3:35like a heart around my neck with his name.
- 3:37Well, like the best friends this far.
- 3:39I had those.
- 3:40Same.
- 3:41I always got the ends one, like the shit side of the heart.
- 3:44Oh, yeah.
- 3:45I always wanted the B fry and I always got
- 3:47East ends.
- 3:48I just like warm mine for a bit and then you have a fight.
- 3:50And you'd be like, I'm not wearing mine.
- 3:51And then you'd lose it and then, yeah.
- 3:53It was the ultimate compliment wasn't it?
- 3:55Shit, yeah.
- 3:56I'm giving you half my heart.
- 3:57Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:58God, we were cute.
- 3:59Same as like, you're invited to my birthday party.
- 4:02And then you, oh, no, you're not.
- 4:04Oh, you sure?
- 4:05Do you know what I have said about this?
- 4:06I think being a kid is so ruthless.
- 4:08Like, I know that we're like,
- 4:10oh, it's so chill.
- 4:11You don't have to pay for anything.
- 4:12You have to think about anything.
- 4:13You don't have your responsibilities.
- 4:14I reckon being a kid was
- 4:16I felt so many intense motions.
- 4:19I felt like, I don't know.
- 4:21School was really bitchy.
- 4:23Like, I had great friends.
- 4:24But I don't think that I would go back to being 10
- 4:26if someone said you have the option to go back.
- 4:29Oh, I was.
- 4:30Put you.
- 4:31Yeah.
- 4:32Oh, God.
- 4:33How fun.
- 4:34All you have to worry about is like playing in the playground.
- 4:35I reckon, I reckon.
- 4:36Absolutely.
- 4:37It's a no for me.
- 4:38Try to remember myself at 10.
- 4:39I was doing my J's ballet, you know?
- 4:41I'm sure I've told you this.
- 4:44What?
- 4:45I was like, loves J's ballet.
- 4:47And like, I was a bit on the chubby side.
- 4:49Anyway, the good, the good, they're like,
- 4:51really hard out athletic girls.
- 4:53I'm just telling you this.
- 4:54No conduct just panting into the like-
- 4:56I thought I told you that.
- 4:57Sorry.
- 4:58This is so good.
- 4:59No, like the girls that always got the front row were like,
- 5:01the really athletic, coordinated girls.
- 5:04And they always got the front row.
- 5:06And anyway, I like-
- 5:08I was always going to go back and like-
- 5:10So caught me up.
- 5:11Yeah.
- 5:12Anyway.
- 5:13Like, you know, you see all the really good performers
- 5:15because they exert so much energy.
- 5:18Because they exert so much energy.
- 5:21When they stop it.
- 5:24And when they finish and they do the pose,
- 5:26they're like, puffed and they're like,
- 5:28so I wanted to read that good.
- 5:32So with the end, I would always-
- 5:37I'm joking, oh my god.
- 5:43And so like, to be like them instead of just like being a bit more coordinated and stuff,
- 5:47I would always finish and feel like-
- 5:51Would you pretend to be puffed?
- 5:54And I probably just looked like this were an unfit kid.
- 5:57Who's been at the back and hasn't really-
- 5:59I don't know, yeah.
- 6:00That is so iconic.
- 6:02Yeah.
- 6:03Did you ever get put at the front?
- 6:04No.
- 6:05For like all of like 10 seconds when they're like,
- 6:07rotate you and then, oh, and back to the back.
- 6:09Yeah.
- 6:10But anyway, you know, determination of a little kid.
- 6:15Oh, that's made my day.
- 6:17On to finance chat.
- 6:18Finance chat.
- 6:19Okay.
- 6:20Apple.
- 6:21We had a bit of news about Apple recently.
- 6:23So you know how we spoke last week about all the big investment in AI that's going on,
- 6:27and we've had like Microsoft and Messer and Amazon and Google all come out with billions
- 6:32and billions of billions of dollars in investment.
- 6:34But the one that's been a bit quiet is Apple.
- 6:39And when you say quiet, do you mean they're not talking about how much they're investing in AI?
- 6:42No.
- 6:43They're not talking about-
- 6:44Interesting.
- 6:45Anything in terms of, well, there's little things, but like they're just not doubling down on it
- 6:49and really promoting this massive, massive investment that's going on.
- 6:54Wait, sorry.
- 6:55So Apple is having a massive investment.
- 6:57Is it?
- 6:58Oh, so you know, when you just say they're not promoting this big investment happening in AI.
- 7:02Oh, sorry.
- 7:03I thought you meant the company, but you just mean in general.
- 7:05Yeah.
- 7:06They're definitely kind of the laggards, I guess.
- 7:09And-
- 7:10Do you think they're just trying to be subtle about it and not talk about it?
- 7:12Or is that-
- 7:13But like why?
- 7:14Great value for the business.
- 7:16In terms of the share price.
- 7:17Well, the share price hasn't done well.
- 7:19And all the others have.
- 7:21Because you mentioned the word AI and everyone jumps on it.
- 7:24And they're all like, oh my god, okay, must invest.
- 7:27You know, it's this, it's such a buzzword.
- 7:29Yeah.
- 7:30I just was wondering if Apple was trying to be more subtle or not be so like,
- 7:35leaning into that.
- 7:36But-
- 7:37Yeah.
- 7:38I guess why would you not?
- 7:39Yeah.
- 7:40And I guess the difference with Apple right is like if you look at Google Microsoft for example,
- 7:44like they are a lot of software like Google Search for example.
- 7:48You know, like that's very easily leans us up to AI,
- 7:52whereas Apple was like more products.
- 7:54Well, it's going to integrate into Siri and stuff.
- 7:56That's what's going to say.
- 7:57It's almost like the AI element for Apple isn't necessarily into the phone, I assume.
- 8:01And it's probably more the software or the things that you're able to do through the phone.
- 8:05Yeah.
- 8:06And they are investing in a lot of things in AI,
- 8:08but they've just not coming out and like touting that they're spending billions, billions dollars.
- 8:12Anyway, the share price has naturally not done well.
- 8:15But one thing they are doing is they are buying their own shares.
- 8:19So they have to-
- 8:20This is a green flag, everyone.
- 8:21Yes, yes, a green, green flag, yes.
- 8:23So they're spending money on buying their own shares, which is what you call a share buy back.
- 8:30And this is effectively when a company is like, you know what?
- 8:33We've got this money.
- 8:34And we don't know what to do with it in terms of whether to invest in AI or launch a new product, buy a new business.
- 8:41The best use of that money right now is to buy our own stock.
- 8:45So there must be something going on behind the scenes in terms of like they can-
- 8:49They want to own more of their own business.
- 8:51Yes, and the reason you want to do that is because you know what's coming.
- 8:54And you know that it's going to go up and up and up.
- 8:56Okay. Yeah.
- 8:57Interesting.
- 8:58It's actually a really good alternative to dividends.
- 9:01So they could just be like, you know what?
- 9:03Let's just give that money back to shareholders as dividends.
- 9:06But they're like, no, no, we want to buy our own shares.
- 9:09Which when you're a company of that age, like normally you do start giving dividends when you're an older company,
- 9:16whereas when you're high growth and really just started,
- 9:19the idea of dividends is never really a thing.
- 9:21So they're investing back to grow the business.
- 9:25So the fact that they're not doing that probably says that they see more growth coming?
- 9:30Well, yes.
- 9:31But technically as a shareholder, you still get the money back essentially
- 9:36because the share price increases.
- 9:38So you still get the return.
- 9:40It's just a different way of getting it.
- 9:42What do you mean?
- 9:43So I could own Apple shares and Apple could pay me a dividend in terms of a cash payment.
- 9:51And I'd be like, cool thanks.
- 9:52I get that money as like profit as part of my return of my Apple shares.
- 9:57Or they could be like, no, no, we're going to buy our own shares.
- 9:59So the share price goes up.
- 10:01So it's just a different mix.
- 10:02But I don't get why the share price goes up if they buy.
- 10:04Because they're buying like nearly $100 billion with their own stock.
- 10:08So when you've got a huge buyer like that,
- 10:11you've got increased demand.
- 10:13The same amount of supply.
- 10:14The share price just keeps going up.
- 10:16So it's not that someone's directly, unless they sold their shares,
- 10:20they're not making money.
- 10:21It's just the idea that their shares are more valuable now.
- 10:23Yeah.
- 10:24So there's a capital gain, which is now a lot bigger.
- 10:28Or you can have, say, a mediocre capital gain and a mediocre dividend,
- 10:32which added together is the same effectively and a really crude way,
- 10:36effectively the same return, just a different way of giving it to shares.
- 10:39I might just like, you know, strip this back because I know what you're saying,
- 10:42but I think there might be some people that are confused.
- 10:44So basically, when you own a share,
- 10:47the whole idea of buying into a company or only a company is that you want to make money.
- 10:51Yeah.
- 10:52There's heaps of different ways that you can make money through those stocks.
- 10:55And often in slower kind of like the low key boring companies like a supermarket,
- 11:01your share, like your return will be often,
- 11:06like whatever your value of that share is,
- 11:08plus sometimes you'll get a dividend.
- 11:10So it might be like, let's say your return is 10%.
- 11:13So you have one share, you're getting a 10% return.
- 11:16So maybe half of that might be dividend.
- 11:18So you get it straight back into your bank account
- 11:20and half of it might be the value of what that share is.
- 11:22In this situation for an Apple share,
- 11:26because Apple are buying heaps of their own stock,
- 11:29the actual share price is going up.
- 11:31Yeah.
- 11:32So you might be getting a 10% return too,
- 11:35but it's tied up in the share price,
- 11:37opposed to you getting money back into your account if that makes sense.
- 11:40Yeah.
- 11:41Yeah.
- 11:42Because there's two ways you can get a dividend,
- 11:44a return is through a dividend, or the change in the price of what you own.
- 11:48Yeah.
- 11:49It's like a house price going up.
- 11:51You have prices going up.
- 11:52Or you get a house, yeah, Rachel and come.
- 11:54Yeah, Rachel and come, yeah.
- 11:55And so with dividend paying companies,
- 11:57usually the change in the price is lower.
- 11:59Like it still goes up, but not nearly as much as a kind of a growth company.
- 12:03And then the difference is made up with dividends.
- 12:06Which is why when you look at your return or what your money or may have things,
- 12:11you have to look at all the money you're getting.
- 12:13Because you might be getting a 10% return plus another 5% dividend.
- 12:17Yeah.
- 12:18Which means your return is actually 15%.
- 12:20It's like our shares in the curve, right?
- 12:22We could say we made a million dollars this year.
- 12:25And it'd be nice.
- 12:26We could either take that as a dividend and be like,
- 12:29you know what, let's take that and run with it.
- 12:31Or we could be like, you know what, let's invest that million dollars back into the curve.
- 12:34So the value of our shares goes up even more because we're reinvesting in growth.
- 12:39Yeah.
- 12:40Investing in AI is actually something that a lot of people are interested in at the moment.
- 12:43So we have decided.
- 12:45We can do a little bit of a investing club open day.
- 12:48This is almost something we would do inside the club.
- 12:50Yeah.
- 12:51But we were like, you know what, everyone wants to talk about it.
- 12:53So let's have an investing in AI open day.
- 12:57Yeah.
- 12:58It's kind of like, imagine your 15.
- 13:01And you're looking at your high school and you're thinking,
- 13:03I don't know where I want to go.
- 13:04And your mum takes you for like an open day of the school.
- 13:06That's what's happening.
- 13:07Yeah.
- 13:09So everyone can come to us if you want to learn about AI and how you can invest in it.
- 13:13It's happening.
- 13:14Is it the 27th of August?
- 13:1527th of August.
- 13:16Yeah.
- 13:17And we are going to talk about, you know, what is AI?
- 13:19Because I think a lot of people, it's this word that's thrown around.
- 13:21But like, how is it changing the world?
- 13:23Because it really is from like so many different areas.
- 13:26We're going to talk about why women in particular need to know about it.
- 13:30Like that is a big, big, big one.
- 13:32We're going to look at some stocks, some ETFs and some other opportunities.
- 13:37Like within the value chain, we kind of touched on it maybe last week.
- 13:41But we're going to go way more in depth.
- 13:43And what are the risks and the red flags look up for?
- 13:45And then also the big one, which is around the ethical side of it.
- 13:49So you've got data privacy, you've got confusion, climate change, renewables, all of that.
- 13:53Yeah.
- 13:54There's a lot of people that think they've missed the boat with this.
- 13:56Like, we've seen the video perform fantastically.
- 13:59It seems so many other stocks, they do so well.
- 14:02I just think it's so easy to feel left behind in so many situations.
- 14:08It's just not too late.
- 14:09Yeah.
- 14:10Like, okay, think about the internet when it first started.
- 14:15If all of a sudden online shopping happened, just another subtle plug,
- 14:19I was the first person in New Zealand to do online shopping.
- 14:22I was on the news for a while actually, it was my mum.
- 14:24But I was eating a pink sticky bun in the background on the news.
- 14:27Anyway, pointers.
- 14:28If you had that had started happening and you thought, oh, I've missed the boat.
- 14:32I can't invest in the worldwide web.
- 14:34I mean, 30 years later, what is it doing?
- 14:36You know, it's like, we're still at the beginning of AI.
- 14:39So much is going to change still.
- 14:41And I think if you're feeling like, oh, I've missed the boat to even interact
- 14:45with it or use it or invest with it.
- 14:47You just haven't.
- 14:48So don't stress.
- 14:49Well, also, when we have such revolutions, when we have such revolutionary changes like this
- 14:54that creates more opportunities, do you know what I mean?
- 14:57It might not be the Nvidia's of the world, but there's other companies
- 15:00that are writing this AI wave that we can get invested in.
- 15:03And also, we'll have plenty, plenty, plenty of time for Q&A.
- 15:06So the link is in the show notes of this podcast, 27th August,
- 15:108pm New Zealand time, or 9am UK time.
- 15:14See you there.
- 15:15So just finishing up on Apple is that Warren Buffett has actually come out.
- 15:19Oh, I was going to say because Warren Buffett did a massive investment.
- 15:22How many tech he invested in?
- 15:24In 2016.
- 15:26And he's made massive profits out of it.
- 15:29But he has started to sell down in 2023 last year.
- 15:33And then again, it's come out.
- 15:35So you only know this when they released their quarterly financials.
- 15:38Because that's a disclosure.
- 15:40So he was selling down in the June quarter.
- 15:43He sold $4 billion worth of Apple shares.
- 15:46So maybe he's just selling an Apple's just buying them.
- 15:48And they're just like this.
- 15:49And they're kind of in these codes.
- 15:51I'm joking.
- 15:52I am.
- 15:53So he's still got about $60 billion of Apple stock.
- 15:58So he's still very much invested.
- 16:00And that represents about 20% of his overall portfolio.
- 16:03Oh, so he's still got 20% of his whole portfolio is an Apple.
- 16:06That's still a lot.
- 16:07Yeah, still big bit.
- 16:08I mean, I just feel like if I look at the iPods from a million years ago,
- 16:13and how much the products and what they offer has changed so much,
- 16:16they're such an innovative company.
- 16:18Like, I just don't, I, they're so far ahead of other brands.
- 16:23How cool iPods.
- 16:24Yeah, I know.
- 16:25Wouldn't it be great if you could listen to music and not get distracted
- 16:29by millions of other apps like all you were doing was listening to music?
- 16:33I feel like there's a bit of nostalgia going around.
- 16:36You know, people are going back to string headphones.
- 16:38Oh, saying, oh my god, I've gone back to string headphones.
- 16:40I know.
- 16:41I saw that.
- 16:42Oh, okay.
- 16:43Cool.
- 16:44Cool.
- 16:45Obviously judging me.
- 16:46No, I want to, just because I don't want you to have phone stolen London.
- 16:50No, doesn't help.
- 16:51Yes, Dafferring got their phone stolen London while using wire headphones.
- 16:55So it's right here.
- 16:57There's this weird thing that there's all these little kids on bikes
- 17:00with Bella Clover's, Bella Clover's, and hoodies.
- 17:03And they just go around and grab people's phones out of their hands.
- 17:06Every 16 minutes in Mayfair.
- 17:07Oh, my god.
- 17:08In Mayfair.
- 17:09Mayfair.
- 17:10Just for fun.
- 17:11It's like the nicest such night's part of London.
- 17:13Which is probably why.
- 17:14Yeah, you would think it would be in like a place that you felt a little bit on edge,
- 17:17not like they've started to put stickers on the pavement saying,
- 17:22don't hold your phone.
- 17:23That's close to the road.
- 17:24Wow.
- 17:25Like all those markings in Oxford Street saying, don't hold your phone.
- 17:28Like, say on the phone.
- 17:29So I'm like, it's, do you know what?
- 17:31Yes, it's annoying.
- 17:32Like, it's annoying from a financial perspective.
- 17:34The most annoying thing for me is the idea of having to get into all my bloody accounts.
- 17:38Like, I would just be like, cool.
- 17:40Don't have money.
- 17:41I think it's just good.
- 17:42I think it's just a defeat.
- 17:43You know, you start running and you're like, why am I running?
- 17:45Yeah, you're on a bike.
- 17:46This is what I created yesterday.
- 17:47He was like, oh, I just didn't even bother.
- 17:48I was like, this is not a point.
- 17:50You just feel so stupid.
- 17:51You're like, of course.
- 17:52Yeah.
- 17:53Anyway.
- 17:54Also, a shining star in the club, one of the stock ideas that we spoke about,
- 17:58very, very early on in the club, has come out with a financial result.
- 18:02Do you own a language?
- 18:03Do you own a language?
- 18:04Oh, my god.
- 18:05Do you own a language?
- 18:06Do you own a language?
- 18:07No.
- 18:09Do you own another language?
- 18:10No.
- 18:11Oh, let's know.
- 18:12Let's know.
- 18:13That's a bit rude.
- 18:14Well, like, you either do or you don't.
- 18:16Well, I can say Bonjour.
- 18:18No, no, no, no, no.
- 18:20So when I was living in Mexico, I found this amazing Spanish teacher.
- 18:24And my plan was like, great.
- 18:25Perfect.
- 18:26Who else would you find?
- 18:27Heaps of hot mix can mean.
- 18:28Like, oh, my god.
- 18:30Get me back ASAP.
- 18:32So I started learning Spanish.
- 18:35Oh, yeah.
- 18:36And two weeks in when I was like, perfect.
- 18:38This is my moment.
- 18:39I'm going to start getting fluent law.
- 18:41I couldn't speak, like, look at it.
- 18:43And anyway, I think COVID happened.
- 18:46And I was, that was my, like, moment.
- 18:48And it stopped me from speaking?
- 18:49Yes.
- 18:50Because I had to move home.
- 18:51Oh, sorry.
- 18:52And I left my amazing teacher.
- 18:53Oh, gosh.
- 18:54And since then, I just, it doesn't quite...
- 18:56Teacher?
- 18:57No, no, no.
- 18:58She was, like, a future old woman.
- 18:59It was not sexy.
- 19:00Anyway, so the arts there is, sorry, more simply.
- 19:03No, I can't.
- 19:04Thank you.
- 19:05Thanks for that.
- 19:06You can.
- 19:07No.
- 19:08I can speak a few words.
- 19:09Oh, wow.
- 19:10Yeah.
- 19:11Amazing.
- 19:12I must say, I think this is, like, the biggest gift you could give a kid is byling...
- 19:15Bylingle from a young age.
- 19:17But I think you have to live there, right?
- 19:19Like, I know Julengo's done so well.
- 19:20And, like, I remember before I went to South America, I was in the car on the way to work.
- 19:24You want to see.
- 19:25You want to see how a miracle trip makes an appearance.
- 19:27Every podcast.
- 19:28I'm like, going another trip.
- 19:30She's like, this one time.
- 19:32When I was 90.
- 19:33At the time, I'm banking.
- 19:34Oh, my God.
- 19:35Oh, my God.
- 19:36I'm not that person.
- 19:37No.
- 19:38But I think being immersed in...
- 19:40I agree.
- 19:41I don't think I'm going to learn.
- 19:42I mean, I haven't really tried.
- 19:43But I don't think I'll learn a new language for a Julelingo.
- 19:45Well, lots of people do.
- 19:4848 million.
- 19:49Wow.
- 19:50A day.
- 19:51You used Julelingo.
- 19:52Wow.
- 19:53That's huge.
- 19:54Yeah.
- 19:55Imagine the customer inquiries.
- 19:57They've been so many different languages within that.
- 20:0148 million people using your app.
- 20:03And it goes down for like 10 seconds.
- 20:05They're like, I'm trying to learn cash.
- 20:06Yeah.
- 20:07I can't.
- 20:08I need to find any way.
- 20:09It's done really, really well.
- 20:11But recently...
- 20:12No, no.
- 20:13You need to give a bit of, like, be more confident here, Vic.
- 20:15We spoke about this.
- 20:16Yes.
- 20:17In the club.
- 20:18It's up 70% since we spoke about it.
- 20:19That's insane.
- 20:20It was actually up about 150%.
- 20:21And then it's come down recently.
- 20:22Wow.
- 20:23Okay.
- 20:24But still insane.
- 20:25And it's still really good up in a year.
- 20:27It's up 70%.
- 20:28It's done what like 10%.
- 20:30We should have invested when we spoke about it.
- 20:31One idea.
- 20:32It's literally dead.
- 20:34Excuse me.
- 20:36Over here to the microphone.
- 20:37Emily.
- 20:38Oh, we're just sorry.
- 20:39Emily is just...
- 20:40We need to help.
- 20:41Volume manager in the house.
- 20:42No, as soon as you spoke about it in the club,
- 20:43I immediately invested and then saw it go up.
- 20:46And I actually wrote in the club.
- 20:48Has anybody else Julelingo go up?
- 20:50Wow.
- 20:51So I flipping love Julelingo.
- 20:53I think their business model is insane.
- 20:56As far as apps go, 10 out of 10.
- 20:58But see, that's a good example, right?
- 21:00Like you understand yet, you use the app.
- 21:02So the idea of investing is not that scary.
- 21:04You're like, oh, I get it.
- 21:05Cool.
- 21:06Great.
- 21:07I'll invest.
- 21:08How much should you put in?
- 21:09Not a lot, about £100.
- 21:10No, it's fine.
- 21:11And so it's gone up to like £170.
- 21:13Yeah.
- 21:14But then it's come back down recently.
- 21:15But still.
- 21:16How fast?
- 21:17Yeah, the little owl.
- 21:18She wasn't paid to say that, by the way.
- 21:19Well, technically she was.
- 21:22But yes, they're expanding kind of beyond just languages
- 21:26and moving more into chess and like games and stuff.
- 21:30Okay.
- 21:31Because if the app's really good to use,
- 21:32you could, you know, you get people on there.
- 21:34They can do anything really.
- 21:35But the reason it has slowed down recently is competition.
- 21:39People are now using ChatGbT.
- 21:42They're using Google Translate.
- 21:44It's getting really good in terms of like learning language.
- 21:46So there's, I think, them diversifying into other things
- 21:49beyond languages is quite good.
- 21:51Anyway, there's another thing I found.
- 21:53Well, I found some research that found it.
- 21:55There is, there's been...
- 21:58Get it out, Jesus.
- 22:00There is a correlation between the number of times
- 22:06that a luxury brand has mentioned in songs and its sales
- 22:10and therefore it's numerous.
- 22:12I was like, who is doing this research?
- 22:14Quite fun to be like, I know.
- 22:16I want to see if there's a correlation between share price returns
- 22:18and brands and music.
- 22:20This must be the same for any cultural reference, I think,
- 22:24whether it's films and it's a product.
- 22:27Yeah.
- 22:28You know, we took, spoke up the Birken in six in the city.
- 22:30Or, I mean, this is a weird example,
- 22:33but even like in pop songs when other artists refer to other artists,
- 22:37you know, like, you know that Nicki Minaj song
- 22:40and it's like, something, something, something, something.
- 22:42Selena, you know?
- 22:43That Selena Gomez.
- 22:44Yeah.
- 22:45Oh.
- 22:46Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 22:47And every time I hear it, I think Selena Gomez,
- 22:49you know, like, I think there's a lot of like cultural nuances
- 22:52that feed into popularity across different things.
- 22:55I agree.
- 22:56Yeah.
- 22:57And it's all intertwined, right?
- 22:59It's like the reason they're talking about in songs
- 23:00because they're so popular in pop culture
- 23:02and then that leads to sales and yeah.
- 23:04And it's probably in their video clips and then it's like,
- 23:06you know, there's probably a lot of, but anyway.
- 23:08There has been this research that's been done.
- 23:10And so, I want to say, pay for placement.
- 23:13Probably.
- 23:14Definitely in movies and stuff.
- 23:15Yeah.
- 23:16For our Williams, right?
- 23:17He was like creative director at Louis Vuitton.
- 23:19Even that.
- 23:20Like him becoming creative director at a fashion label
- 23:23and he's a singer.
- 23:24But like, I remember back in the days,
- 23:26I've moved on from the succession, but watching Gossip Girl.
- 23:29And they would have...
- 23:30I think your Gossip Girl comes up as much as my South America trip.
- 23:32Yeah.
- 23:33It does.
- 23:34It does.
- 23:35That's valid.
- 23:36Look, the good news here is that I've stopped watching it.
- 23:38Oh, good.
- 23:39But it does have like...
- 23:40Do you remember vitamin water?
- 23:41Those...
- 23:42Oh, yeah.
- 23:43It was up all the time.
- 23:44And actually since, wasn't it?
- 23:45I don't know.
- 23:46I don't know.
- 23:47Do you mean price wise?
- 23:48No.
- 23:49Oh, if you've seen under.
- 23:50Yeah.
- 23:51Oh, I don't know that.
- 23:52Oh, yeah.
- 23:53Jesus.
- 23:54Well, sometimes I'm so culturally irrelevant.
- 23:55Maybe as if I knew that it was 50 cents as well.
- 23:57Yeah.
- 23:58Look, she's always been worried.
- 23:59Yeah.
- 24:00But my point was, I remember seeing it, you know, the 17th time I watched it.
- 24:03And I thought, that must be product placement.
- 24:05Yeah, no, it's definitely a thing.
- 24:07I think what happens is, there's the really cool people of the world
- 24:10who genuinely put it in, because they want to.
- 24:12Yeah.
- 24:13And then there's the people that...
- 24:16Well, I was going to say, because there'd be people that are paid to do it, right?
- 24:19Yeah.
- 24:20It's almost like, you know, influencing energy.
- 24:22I'm like, thank you so much for my coffee.
- 24:24And it's like, you paid for that.
- 24:25Do you know what I mean?
- 24:26Like, there's probably an element of that.
- 24:28But within...
- 24:29Well, it's trying to look like it's been paid.
- 24:30Ever since Diet Pepsi.
- 24:31I'm like, that is shortly paid.
- 24:34And she's like signing around with this Pepsi.
- 24:38You know, this is maybe the most genius thing you've ever seen.
- 24:40Yeah.
- 24:41You're right.
- 24:42Diet Coke doesn't really have the same ring.
- 24:44Diet Pepsi.
- 24:45Oh my God.
- 24:46Dude, would you...
- 24:47I still wouldn't buy Diet Pepsi.
- 24:48Anyway, finance news.
- 24:49There has been research that's found a correlation between the number of times
- 24:53a luxury brand has mentioned in songs.
- 24:55And it's sales, which in turn is a sheer price.
- 24:59And what have we seen lately?
- 25:01We've seen very, very terrible performance in a lot of the luxury names.
- 25:05And it has been radio silence with songs.
- 25:10With luxury brands in them.
- 25:12So we're seeing this play out.
- 25:15So I guess there's probably luxury brands that are realising this
- 25:19and approaching artists to say, like, put our...
- 25:23Like bag, jewelry, sunglasses in your songs.
- 25:26There's also, I think, a...
- 25:28And maybe there's just something that I'm feeling.
- 25:30But like, we've got high inflation, high cost of living,
- 25:33like, fleshing-fleshingness.
- 25:34I don't know if it's...
- 25:36Maybe just become a bit grotesque, but, like,
- 25:39people are just being a bit more conscious.
- 25:41And there's a bit more of, like, quiet luxury going on rather than, like...
- 25:44I'm so here for that though.
- 25:45My Louis Vuitton, my brother, you know, I don't know.
- 25:47It's just bad taste as well.
- 25:49When there's people... It's almost... It feels hunger-gamesy, you know?
- 25:52When you've got, like, so much shit going on in the world.
- 25:55You've got wars.
- 25:56You've got so much poverty.
- 25:57You've got so much... Like, yeah, it just feels a bit off.
- 26:03And also, another brand that has done fantastically well, actually,
- 26:08is American Eagle.
- 26:10So you remind me of American Eagle, is it?
- 26:13It's like a gem?
- 26:14Yes, it's like a damn brand.
- 26:15And they had a...
- 26:16This isn't immigrants.
- 26:17No, no.
- 26:18No.
- 26:19Good America, that's right.
- 26:20Yeah.
- 26:21That's collocation and immigrant.
- 26:22Yeah.
- 26:23This is different.
- 26:24This is American Eagle.
- 26:25It's been doing pretty terribly.
- 26:27Anyway, it...
- 26:28Is it cool brands?
- 26:29I'm sorry, is it cool product?
- 26:30It kind of reminds me of American apparel.
- 26:33Anyway, they try to make a comeback and...
- 26:36This is Sydney Swainy.
- 26:37Yeah.
- 26:38Swainy?
- 26:39Swainy.
- 26:40They did a big campaign with Sydney Swainy.
- 26:42And...
- 26:43This was bad.
- 26:44This was so bad.
- 26:45She was like, I have good genes.
- 26:47This is not me telling you.
- 26:49It's by American Eagle Jean.
- 26:51Sydney Swainy has very keen.
- 26:53You see what I did there, right?
- 26:56It was very white supremacy.
- 26:59Yeah.
- 27:00Anyway.
- 27:01Can I just say for anyone that is interested in understanding why this is bad,
- 27:04or like, understanding the cultural context here and why this is problematic,
- 27:09I listen to a really good podcast on it.
- 27:11It's Abby Chatfield's podcast about...
- 27:14It's called It's A Lot.
- 27:15If you just...
- 27:16I can't remember what the title is called, but if you Google It's A Lot,
- 27:19Abby Chatfield and then the Sydney Swainy thing.
- 27:21It just, like, it broke down how to understand, like,
- 27:24particularly if you're white.
- 27:26You're not understanding why this is so bad.
- 27:28I'm more concerned about the, like, I guess we buy companies,
- 27:32we buy shares and companies because we think that their fundamentals are good,
- 27:35that they're going to grow sales, grow profits, and do really well.
- 27:39This...
- 27:40The fact that this American Eagle's share price went up.
- 27:44Like, I think it was like...
- 27:45It went up...
- 27:46It went up 20%.
- 27:47And then when Trump tweeted about it, it went up another 20%.
- 27:51Oh, God.
- 27:52It went up another 20%.
- 27:53People coming into this meme stock craze that we're talking about.
- 27:56Like, companies, share prices are going up, not based on fundamentals.
- 28:00There's no more people going into stores because of this ad or anything
- 28:04that has literally impacted the sales or the performance of the business.
- 28:09It is literally just people jumping on virality or these meme stocks.
- 28:14And they're buying the noise, they're not buying the brand and the actual business.
- 28:20And I mean...
- 28:21When you even get me started on the...
- 28:23What I can assume is people that are buying this year's American Eagle,
- 28:26but that's a whole nother conversation.
- 28:28But I think just the disconnect between...
- 28:30Oh, Trump tweeted about it.
- 28:31Oh, God.
- 28:32I bought some shares.
- 28:33Yeah.
- 28:34Yeah.
- 28:35But I just think the disconnect, like, all these meme stocks, right?
- 28:36It's like, you're not buying shares because the company is doing well
- 28:39and you think it's going to be bigger and better in the future.
- 28:42You're buying shares because you're in houses buying shares
- 28:44and this whole FOMO trade and this whole...
- 28:46You know, like, and it's just really concerning the disconnect
- 28:50that's not how we invest.
- 28:52Also, I think what's happening here is because investing's been democratized,
- 28:57people get excited, they think they know what they're doing
- 28:59and they go and buy shit like this.
- 29:01It's the difference between buying fast fashion, something that's going to be cool for two weeks
- 29:05and then break and your butt's going to be hanging out.
- 29:08Yeah.
- 29:09Compared to getting good quality something that's going to last for a long period of time.
- 29:13You know, like, the idea of investing is you invest in quality.
- 29:16This is the opposite of that.
- 29:18Yeah.
- 29:19And it's like, this is like, you want to equip one.
- 29:21Like, you want, when we invest, it's patience.
- 29:23It's like, you have to have that long term mentality and with meme stocks,
- 29:28it's like, I want to make a quick buck.
- 29:30I want to invest, yeah, and it's just really scares me.
- 29:33They don't loan the whole connotation with this campaign.
- 29:37Honestly, I couldn't be further from this.
- 29:40Like, as in, God, you can't even pay neither on that company.
- 29:44Yeah.
- 29:45And I don't understand, I mean, we're getting not financial now,
- 29:48but how that campaign got through so many different people.
- 29:51So this is, this is what the poll cost that I was suggesting is talking about
- 29:54because it's the idea that representation is so important within a company
- 29:57because there were a reason it got through so many people.
- 29:59Yeah, it's because everyone would have been white privilege.
- 30:03Yeah.
- 30:04And so anyone younger who thought they needed to be like, hello, this is problematic.
- 30:09There's not those people that need to be in the room to help make the decision
- 30:13on whether or not it is or isn't okay.
- 30:15Well, it's like the Victoria Secret argument years ago.
- 30:18And it was men sitting in a boardroom dictating saying that that was the,
- 30:23there was perfection in women, was Victoria Secret models.
- 30:26And that's what every woman was wanting to strive to be.
- 30:28And every man wanted to be with.
- 30:30But it's like, no, no, that's your little microscopic view of what is beautiful.
- 30:37Because you're all from a similar, yeah.
- 30:40Yeah.
- 30:41And it's seen in a Barbie movie where you go in and like she's like got the board room
- 30:45and there's like 10 white, middle-aged men being like,
- 30:48this is what Barbie should look like.
- 30:50And it's like, of course, that's what you think is attractive.
- 30:53But there's also like so many different versions of good genes,
- 30:57like in relation to this brand.
- 31:00And I thought, yeah, oh, it's so problematic.
- 31:02We could talk about this for you there.
- 31:04But the next meme stock, not as exciting,
- 31:07it looks like it's going to be Greeks.
- 31:09Sorry?
- 31:10Greeks.
- 31:11Greeks.
- 31:12Greeks.
- 31:13What is that?
- 31:14Like Greeks.
- 31:15No, Greeks.
- 31:16The bakeries.
- 31:17It's kind of like a, it's like a pret costor.
- 31:18It's like on every street corner in London.
- 31:20Yeah.
- 31:21They're really, they're really struggling.
- 31:22And short sellers.
- 31:23So they remember these are the people that they think that the price,
- 31:27the share price, they can go down.
- 31:28So they want to get in and they make profits when the share price falls.
- 31:32It's getting up and up and up and up.
- 31:34And it's the highest level it's been since 2008.
- 31:36So Greeks.
- 31:37So Greeks.
- 31:38Yeah.
- 31:39Yeah.
- 31:40Are we still Greeks?
- 31:41I mean, no, you don't want to, you don't want a lot of short sellers owning your stock.
- 31:45Well, you know, owning, because then they want your share price to do terribly.
- 31:49Okay.
- 31:50So yeah.
- 31:51And lastly, I mean, we may as well talk about AI again.
- 31:54Yeah.
- 31:55Just, you know, beginning and into the podcast, really rounded out.
- 31:57Perplexity, which is an AI startup has actually made a bid for Google Chrome,
- 32:02which, yeah, I can see why you're puzzled.
- 32:05Like it's not for sale.
- 32:07It's part of Google like what?
- 32:09But they are like circling, like sharks essentially.
- 32:13So they've made a bid for $35 billion because they think that Google is going to have to be broken
- 32:18up and sold and they want to be in the sidelines.
- 32:21So is this like last year or not even last year?
- 32:24I can't remember when it was.
- 32:25It's the idea.
- 32:26It's been going on forever.
- 32:27Yeah.
- 32:28It's just the idea there's too big.
- 32:29Yeah, they're too big and they need to be broken up.
- 32:31Well, it's not just their too big, like you can be big, right?
- 32:34As long as you're fair.
- 32:35And that's what the US, I think it's a federal quarter, whatever is saying is that Google
- 32:42has got so big in search, but they're actually being anti-competitive in that they have
- 32:47done like exclusive deals with wireless carriers, broadband networks, browser developers,
- 32:54like even Apple, like having like exclusive offers being like you can't have other search engines in there.
- 32:58Like all of that kind of stuff is anti-competitive, but yeah.
- 33:02And so that's why it might need to be broken up.
- 33:05And who's perplexity?
- 33:06The one that's thinking of buying it?
- 33:07Yeah, perplexity is just like a chat GBT, really.
- 33:09Is it like an AI agent?
- 33:11Can you buy perplexity?
- 33:13No, it's not public.
- 33:15Interesting.
- 33:16Yeah, so.
- 33:17How on earth do they have $35 billion as a private company?
- 33:20Well, you would raise money, right?
- 33:22You'd go to investors and be like, hey, this is going to be game-changing.
- 33:26What happened to Google if Chrome got bought?
- 33:28Well, you'd just get like that money, they'd just get a good value, get that money,
- 33:32put it back to the business and invest in other things.
- 33:35Or they'd sell part of it.
- 33:36But like, it's not like, it's not damaging, it's just like you have to sell it.
- 33:40It's been like a fourth seller of a handbag that you really like.
- 33:43Terrible analogy, actually.
- 33:45It's like being a fourth seller of your car, because you own too many cars.
- 33:48I'm really struggling with that.
- 33:50It's very hot in the studio.
- 33:52Like, we're losing our minds a tiny bit.
- 33:54But essentially, it's like selling one of your...
- 33:56It's a fourth sale.
- 33:58It doesn't look so.
- 33:59It's not like, yeah.
- 34:00But I guess my question is like, how would this impact?
- 34:03Firstly, obviously, if perplexity were able to buy it, it would impact them in a really positive way.
- 34:08But is that problematic for Google?
- 34:10Or are they so big that something like this is like they're just lost to Tonal, and it's not a big deal?
- 34:15I mean, it's not the best news, because there's obviously scale benefits, right?
- 34:18Like, if you think of that, like, I'm really sorry for bringing up Tonal,
- 34:21it's disgusting.
- 34:22It's like HR accounting.
- 34:24You can share all those functionalities, whereas sometimes in the standalone business.
- 34:28It depends, right?
- 34:29Because like, spin-offs, when you spin off a part of the division of a business,
- 34:33can actually really thrive and do really well.
- 34:36So why wouldn't Google do that within their own business, and have Chrome as its own business,
- 34:40rather than having to sell it to someone?
- 34:42I guess you was weighing up what prices you can get, the benefits internally, externally.
- 34:48You've got shareholders, like, but if you did have, say, for simplistic sake,
- 34:52you had a business that had like two divisions, and people bought shares in the whole company,
- 34:58and you had to sell half, you could just, people would own shares in that business too.
- 35:03It's not like all of a sudden, you now only own half a business, like that would just never happen.
- 35:08You sell, you'd now own shares in this business, and this business, a business A and business B.
- 35:14And that's what happens with spin-offs.
- 35:17Why, and I don't mean this in a rude way, but what do you find interesting about this,
- 35:21or like, what is the takeaway for this book?
- 35:24So it's looking.
- 35:26So it might actually happen?
- 35:27Yeah.
- 35:28Well, like the fact that they've made a bit, like Google didn't have any comments on it, naturally.
- 35:33But like, it's the down to kind of the last wire in terms of decision making.
- 35:39How long do you think told us it'd be?
- 35:41I don't know, it's been dragged out for a long time, but also perplexity actually, but for TikTok.
- 35:46And then I was like, what happened to TikTok?
- 35:48Yeah, what did?
- 35:49Yeah, TikTok.
- 35:50So they've got until September the 17th.
- 35:52TikTok.
- 35:53Yeah.
- 35:54That's really sad.
- 35:55Yeah, to make a decision.
- 35:56On what?
- 35:57So they got pardoned and pardoned and pardoned.
- 35:58So remember, it was like January the 18th, it was like when they were like, TikTok's going to shut down and shut down for like a couple of hours.
- 36:03Stunny run was crying on TikTok that had made their livelihoods.
- 36:07It would have been quite shit.
- 36:08But like, imagine having everyone having to shut their storefront.
- 36:11You know, and you built, you had customers and you had like, how long they were saying 24 hours later, it came back.
- 36:16I know, yeah.
- 36:17Like it didn't even have much, but it was a great PR site.
- 36:20Yeah, it's so clever.
- 36:21Great for Instagram.
- 36:23Because everyone was like, okay, this is my LinkedIn Instagram, like follow me on Instagram.
- 36:27Quite good for them.
- 36:28Anyway, then President Trump pardoned it and extended it.
- 36:32Like, it's just keeps getting extended.
- 36:34I just think it'll get extended again.
- 36:36Like, you don't want this going on when you're trying to do tariff negotiations with China.
- 36:40Yeah, kind of like, let's just pick our battles here.
- 36:42Do we really have two on TikTok?
- 36:44Yeah.
- 36:45I mean, anyway, lots going on in TikTok, Google, Apple, all of the tech companies.
- 36:49Should we make it a bit thick?
- 36:50Yeah.
- 36:51We're in 20 pounds for TikTok.
- 36:52I'm sure we use banks to lend us some money because we've got so much expertise in managing a global search engine.
- 36:57Mm-hmm.
- 36:58Just have the curve, can't.
- 37:00Every search.
- 37:01It's so weird.
- 37:02It's so weird.
- 37:03It's like the curve.
- 37:04Yeah, you can't search anything anymore.
- 37:05It's very strange.
- 37:06The only result that comes up is the curve.
- 37:08How weird.
- 37:09Then we wouldn't be done for anti-competitive behavior at all.
- 37:11Oh, there you go.
- 37:13Yeah, big tech week.
- 37:14Really big tech week.
- 37:15Quite a heavy week.
- 37:16And we're really hot and sweaty.
- 37:18And you had your jazz story at the start though.
- 37:20Yeah.
- 37:21That was my favorite thing that's happened in the long term.
- 37:24Also, I think we're bringing in sort of like a question time, aren't we?
- 37:29So we're going to start doing, is she Emily?
- 37:31Jump on the mic.
- 37:32We're just getting a lot of comment.
- 37:34We're getting a lot of questions, a lot of questions everywhere.
- 37:37And we can't keep up.
- 37:38Email, DM, a technique all over the show.
- 37:40And I feel like we're being a bit shit on the replies.
- 37:43And we thought let's just bring it all in one place.
- 37:46So we were thinking at the end of every curve weekly, we do a little Q&A section.
- 37:50So if you have any questions, any queries, any investing insights,
- 37:55because that's another thing, so many people are like,
- 37:57have you seen this?
- 37:58Have you spotted this?
- 37:59Super interesting.
- 38:00Yeah, and I love that people do that.
- 38:01They send it to us and they're like, can you please talk about this?
- 38:03I'm like, last week, for example, we were talking about Vic mentioned,
- 38:08all of the seas of data centers.
- 38:11Exactly.
- 38:12And then somebody commented saying, did you know that they're actually planning to put those in space?
- 38:16So instead of taking over countries, you'd just have them in space instead.
- 38:18I was like, that is insane.
- 38:20So maybe it's not just questions.
- 38:22If you also have comments or thoughts, that would be really cool.
- 38:25Yeah.
- 38:26You know, because I think everyone who, there's actually some very clever people
- 38:30that listen to this podcast, that often send in things.
- 38:33Like, can you talk about those?
- 38:34I'd love to use say this.
- 38:35So is it comment on today's podcast, wherever you're listening?
- 38:38Yeah, comment on this podcast.
- 38:40If you're listening on Spotify, there's a comment section down there.
- 38:43If you're watching this on YouTube, comment on there.
- 38:45And if you're listening on Apple podcasts, there's a link to go to YouTube
- 38:49and you can leave your comment there.
- 38:50Okay, put it there.
- 38:51So basically, comment, bring your questions.
- 38:53We will answer them in next week's episode.
- 38:55Can we get some curve cards, like caller daddy,
- 38:58that have the curve on the front to read these questions out?
- 39:01Yes.
- 39:02That would be quite fun.
- 39:03Okay.
- 39:04Well, great.
- 39:05If I may say so myself.
- 39:07Yeah.
- 39:08Thanks, Vic.
- 39:09Bye.

- 39:24Because it really helps other people find our cute little podcast.
- 39:27And we hope you have a good week and see you next Monday.
- 39:30Bye.
- 39:31Bye.
- 39:32Sweet.
- 39:33Yeah.
- 39:34See you next Tuesday.
- 39:35Wow.
- 39:36See you next Tuesday.
- 39:38I mean, Monday.
- 39:39No, actually though, new episodes out every Tuesday.
