- 0:00He's breaking down one by one our arrogance, or a person's
- 0:05arrogance, I shouldn't say ours. And what he's doing is he's
- 0:08taking away the source of the arrogance.
- 0:10So you started with wisdom. A guy's very smart intelligence.
- 0:16He thinks it's his gift. He thinks it's his thing.
- 0:20And people naturally, for whatever reason, have in their
- 0:23mind Speaking of the mind. They believe that they developed
- 0:27it because the mind and the wisdom is so connected to you.
- 0:30It's your, your thoughts. Your thoughts are in essence of
- 0:34yourself as they are. So what's dream of choice now?
- 0:37We'll get there one second. Because of that, analyze that.
- 0:39Because your mind is really part of yourself.
- 0:44That's how it feels. You therefore feel very good
- 0:47about yourself when you come up with the right decision.
- 0:49You can't put a thought, you can't put a speech, you can't
- 0:52put a devout Torah. You can't put a shy learning,
- 0:55all those things. They're you.
- 0:57And because of that they are, they lead to a person being
- 1:00arrogant. What the person has to realize
- 1:02is that those things that God-given, those like gifts,
- 1:04Hashem developed and nurtured and molded your thoughts and
- 1:10your wisdom, of course, to what they was asking.
- 1:13Of course you were involved in making that decision.
- 1:18That's the choice that you make 1000%.
- 1:20No one's saying that Hashem guided your mind toward that
- 1:23spot, but it's all there with the assistance of Hashem.
- 1:27The entire thought that you had was a briar Hashem.
- 1:30God created the the wisdom, the mind, the physical mind, and
- 1:34therefore the mental mind to be able to develop that thought.
- 1:38So God gave you all the tools, so to speak, and more than the
- 1:42tools, He pretty much LED you down that road.
- 1:44The decision might have been yours, but the decision was
- 1:47using all help from Hashem. Because of that, no one should
- 1:51be arrogant when it comes to their mind.
- 1:52Even though people, some of the most arrogant people in the
- 1:55world, were the philosophers because they were so smart and
- 1:59they felt like it was their own, their own traits, right?
- 2:02That's when it comes to wisdom. When it comes to wealth, next
- 2:05one of the list, people are inclined to feel arrogant
- 2:10because of their wealth, right? Says the Messiah.
- 2:14Shame Imashiru. Every person is wealthy.
- 2:18His mental thoughts should be you.
- 2:20Smart because I appreciate the position that I'm in.
- 2:25I'm happy in my position. I'm thrilled to be blessed.
- 2:28That's it. Valavula Zor Lamiche in law.
- 2:32His job instead is to help those who don't have.
- 2:36That's it. Don't go further than that.
- 2:38Don't think. Don't take who you have and turn
- 2:40it in. Take who you have and turn it
- 2:43out. Recognize that it's given to
- 2:45you. It's a God-given gift if it's a
- 2:47God-given a gift, it's meant to be deposited by you and shifted
- 2:52out. I saw over the course of
- 2:54yesterday spend my entire day outside of the parties know the
- 2:58entire day was dedicated to giving out that money and it was
- 3:03an unbelievable amount of money that that that they was raised
- 3:07and I was given out. It was something really mind
- 3:10boggling. It's shocking how much, but it's
- 3:13also shocking more importantly, how the people who gave realized
- 3:19that it's not really theirs. And they clearly I like you
- 3:23people just throwing money. I mean, I I'm putting them in
- 3:26the day. I kept calling me and saying I
- 3:28got more, I got more is more come in.
- 3:31I'm putting some people just throwing someone, someone give,
- 3:33you know, telling them dads are walking out, drop $100.
- 3:36They tried this, drop that. And the theme is the mindset
- 3:40they supposed to have, which is we are blessed, but it's not
- 3:43meant to turn inward. It's meant to turn outward your
- 3:47money, your wealth is meant to now ain't two ways a when it
- 3:52comes to what you do with the money.
- 3:54Two, you mindset of having that money first, what you do with
- 3:57it. If you recognize it's meant to
- 3:59turn outward, you give it away, use it for all the people you,
- 4:03you know, you try to help and lift up and make happy other
- 4:06people. That's Part 1 to the mindset.
- 4:09If a person turns their mindset inward with the money that
- 4:13they're given and blessed with, and they become arrogant, they
- 4:16become stingy, they become difficult people.
- 4:19They think they know how to make money.
- 4:22They think they know how to talk to people because they know
- 4:24exactly how everything works. They think they have the gift,
- 4:26they're blessed, but not that God bless.
- 4:29They think they are the ones who have it all worked out.
- 4:32That's inward, outward with your money.
- 4:35Why should I be more arrogant because Hashem gave me a gift?
- 4:38Why should I think that? It indicates my perfect tools of
- 4:43doing business. Why am I going to think that I
- 4:47should carry myself better than the next guy Ozzy to can't
- 4:50really afford. There's no reason to think that
- 4:52way. All right, so inward is
- 4:54terrible. Outward, he's great.
- 4:58And that is, again, the proper application of the gifts God
- 5:06gave us lead us to becoming definitely not a worse person
- 5:10and even a better person. Improper applications of the
- 5:14gift God gave us lead us to becoming a way worse person.
- 5:18That's how life plays out. A person, every one of us has
- 5:21gifts. Some people have wisdom, wealth,
- 5:25strength, family, a lot of different things.
- 5:29Improper application, the most difficult person to be around,
- 5:33proper application, the most beautiful person to be around is
- 5:35how it plays out. It's that simple.
- 5:37Another example is strength in Giboto next to our list, if a
- 5:42guy is physically strong now, today people are busy with
- 5:45physically strong, but I'm sure it was a bigger thing back then
- 5:48than it is today, right? Today, the number one thing that
- 5:51makes people arrogant is money. More than wisdom and definitely
- 5:55more than physical strength. Wisdom is not so much a thing
- 5:58anymore because wisdom can be, you know, nurtured through other
- 6:02means like AI and everything else.
- 6:05Well, all people care about is money, money, money.
- 6:08That's pretty much the idea and some power as well.
- 6:10Those are the two big ones. But strength and wisdom in the
- 6:14old days they were a bigger deal.
- 6:15Now let's talk about the old days.
- 6:17MG boredom. A person is very strong.
- 6:21Let his job and his mind should be.
- 6:24Why do I have that physical strength to help people?
- 6:27Lazoor la Cochlene will I see a lot Shakim to help people who
- 6:31need it to be there by them. Halamaze Domain and Michelle
- 6:36tell by it. Compare yourself to a person who
- 6:39served into the house. She called it had me muna A
- 6:42davarma. Every servant of the house has a
- 6:47job, staying by your post and fulfill your job.
- 6:53And to finish the work that the house needs to get done, there
- 6:59ain't Bekan Macomb, the gal of Allah fiammit.
- 7:03And there is no place for arrogance.
- 7:05There is no place for thinking you're better than the other guy
- 7:08just because you're strong. You know why you're strong?
- 7:11To lift things up for other people.
- 7:12That's because you're smart. You know why you're smart?
- 7:15To learn, to develop, to be wise, to give advice, to give
- 7:19opinions. That's why you're smart.
- 7:21For your wisdom is not there. We turn inward.
- 7:25You have a post. That's the wrong book.
- 7:28You have a post. You have a job.
- 7:30Your job is. By the way, how do you know
- 7:33where your job is? And people always ask this
- 7:35question, how do I know my job isn't life?
- 7:38You can't really know my humble opinion because it keeps
- 7:40changing. And not going to say there's one
- 7:43job. I do think that you come to us
- 7:44and are in stride and you start to feel what fits your mindset
- 7:48as part of it. But more importantly, the better
- 7:50way to figure out your job is because of this idea.
- 7:53God gave you gifts, correct? He gave you a certain ability to
- 7:56think, to learn, to give charity, whatever it may be.
- 8:01If you're in a position that points to a certain outcome
- 8:05that'll help other people or that'll help God's world, that's
- 8:09your job. Because you have and you were
- 8:11placed by a post, by a spot in the Army.
- 8:14You know, you're thinking of an Army today.
- 8:16In the Army, there's one guy who was an AV guy, another guy who
- 8:19was an Air Force guy. Another guy is a ground guy.
- 8:22They have different roles, other guys a tech guy back in your
- 8:24back and you know on the ground different roles and they have
- 8:27different talents. In this world, we are the exact
- 8:30same way. We all have different roles.
- 8:32We weren't clearly defined. We have to figure them out.
- 8:36But all these roles point to a deeper point, which is no room
- 8:39for arrogance rather room more room for application of your
- 8:44role. Stand by your post.
- 8:47Don't take it and use an inward which is this makes me special.
- 8:51Take it and lose our word. That means this makes me work
- 8:56harder. This makes me more caring by the
- 8:58people. Literally, if you think about
- 9:01the wealthy, there are two types and there's so opposite extreme.
- 9:04It can't even remain in the same room and nothing do each other
- 9:08one type, inward type and maybe use some charity.
- 9:12But it's all about him. It's all constantly about him
- 9:15one way or another. It all reflects on him.
- 9:17And now it's because inward, inward meant that the money that
- 9:22he has is part of in his mind, part of his existence, part of
- 9:26his own personal gifts, that he is developed, maybe that he
- 9:30created and such and such. Even if it's inheritance, it
- 9:33doesn't make a difference. Somehow it goes to his mind.
- 9:36Whereas outward, that guy's the most beautiful person around.
- 9:39He thinks to himself, give me more ways to give, find me more
- 9:43averages to give. He just wants to give.
- 9:46He wants to be the other people. He wants to lift them up.
- 9:49He wants to help others. And he recognizes and absorbs
- 9:51the fact that it's not his to have.
- 9:56It's an outward existence. It's here to be delivered.
- 9:59Same with my mind, Same with my strength, Same with my
- 10:03connections, Same with anything I have in my life.
- 10:06It's all here for our purposes. There's no room for arrogance.
- 10:10There's no room. I think I'm special.
- 10:12According to his minds, that's what he's trying to build.
- 10:15Fellow. Sorry, Vinay.
- 10:17Zia, you invade Barnut. How to leave the whole issue.
- 10:20She has to hold your shot below mid.
- 10:23Akash. It is very important.
- 10:26If you're honest with yourself, I'm not telling you anything
- 10:29special. That's be very real.
- 10:32Where does our money come from? This guy's making a lot of
- 10:35money, right? Come on.
- 10:38Yeah. We were in school with him.
- 10:39You were in school with that guy.
- 10:41He couldn't get it through school.
- 10:42A lot of people like that and he's blessed, right or what was
- 10:46Megan, but God is blessing them. What do you are you happy that
- 10:49God blessed you like you should know?
- 10:51Very true. The Gemarado talks about the
- 10:53fact that rabbis would give respect from the Gemarado time.
- 10:57Give respect to those who are blessed with money so that
- 11:01again, very delicate, they deserve respect.
- 11:04If they're blessed by God, they deserve respect.
- 11:06Respect does not need to translate into arrogance.
- 11:09There's 2 completely separate concepts.
- 11:11You're not respecting the man himself, you're respecting what
- 11:15he represents that himself represents.
- 11:18God bless this spot. God bless this person.
- 11:21He's carrying God's blessing. No reason for arrogance.
- 11:25Yes, sure is every respect same by the Rabbi, right?
- 11:29Should you say because you old you love humility.
- 11:32I know some people who love the topic of humility very much and
- 11:35they get very turned off by the inan of respect.
- 11:38In fact, that a couple of conversations with people even
- 11:41yesterday about this very topic and they are very turned off and
- 11:46they therefore are wired in a way because it's so and it's
- 11:50actually a beautiful thing this so down to us in low key and
- 11:53they can't handle anything that's to do with loud.
- 11:57They're wired in a way that they don't appreciate those who are a
- 12:02big deal, let's call it that. They can't handle those who are
- 12:06in a sense, loud, a big deal, even in the, you know, respected
- 12:10world of leaders. So I'm not going to get into
- 12:12detail, but that's they can't appreciate that.
- 12:14And I tried to explain to these people somewhat which is you
- 12:18love low key, beautiful thing. You love low key.
- 12:22You hold that everyone should be low key.
- 12:24The fact that these people are big deals, it's not really a
- 12:27negative on them. It's a negative if they reflect
- 12:31it. It's a negative if they go home
- 12:33at night to their wife and they say, you know what someone said
- 12:36about me, You know, you know, you know what they think of me.
- 12:38You know what I am the Haman mindset.
- 12:40That's a negative, right? But it's not a negative that
- 12:43they get respect. It's their respect.
- 12:45Same as the wealthy, same for a rabbi, same for many.
- 12:49They deserve respect. They should just not internalize
- 12:51make. Again, it all has to be outward.
- 12:53I get respect. It means I reflect the Torah.
- 12:56It means outward. I have more Torah to give.
- 12:59I have more to do. I get respect on the wealthy
- 13:01guy. It means obviously I'm blessed.
- 13:03I deserve the respect, not for myself.
- 13:06Outward. Who can I help with this?
- 13:08And on and on and on. Everything that you're blessed
- 13:11with should be turned towed. Others should be turned outward.
- 13:15And this, he says, is an easy thought.
- 13:19No Hindus here. It's obvious.
- 13:22As long as your mind is not distorted, if you're a mad
- 13:27person, you remain on track. Everything that he's telling you
- 13:31about, all the gifts that you have, how they should not
- 13:34reflect in your mind, arrogance. And they should not be used to
- 13:37blow yourself. As if they hear from here,
- 13:40staying here. No no no.
- 13:42They were given to hear but they need to go outward.
- 13:45That's the mindset. You keep that inside of you.
- 13:48It's a clear and simle idea. You didn't create it, you don't
- 13:51deserve it. You shouldn't keep it instead of
- 13:53the other one, which is by me. It's for me.
- 13:56It's about me and everything's me.
- 13:58And then I can become the most arrogant person alive.
- 14:01And that's how you have some people who are gifted are
- 14:04beautiful. Some people who are gifted are a
- 14:05disaster. It's based on this simple
- 14:08concept. Where do they think the gift
- 14:10where he says it's obvious. Where do they think the gifts
- 14:13come from? Where do they think the gifts
- 14:16are meant for everything? The gifts come from you.
- 14:18And you know, you know, FUBU for us by us, right?
- 14:21They think some people think that is, you know, for me, by
- 14:26me, my gifts where they should realize it's for others by
- 14:30another, right? For others, for the people, by
- 14:34God. If you see it that way, best
- 14:36person around you see the other way, hard to be around.
- 14:39That's how clear it is, right? We'll stop with this.
