- 0:00Big warning for silver, big warning about the general
- 0:04economy. But before we do that, welcome
- 0:07to the basement. We are the basement dwellers.
- 0:10We believe in the future of gold and silver because we understand
- 0:16the past, we understand history, and we understand basic
- 0:21mathematics. But what is going on today?
- 0:23An incredible day, in particular in the silver market.
- 0:26Let's go out and take a look and see what people are saying, the
- 0:30reason behind this big, big move that we're having so far in
- 0:35silver. And then I got a big warning for
- 0:37you as well. But let's run out and take a
- 0:39look at the price right now in silver.
- 0:43As you can see from our friends at Kitco, this is the spot.
- 0:48Wow, We are up $5.41, almost 7% in silver.
- 0:55Now yesterday and over the weekend, I told you I thought
- 0:58that we could see $8583 silver by next weekend and that I would
- 1:03eat crow if I was wrong. I had no anticipation that this
- 1:07would happen so quickly. And that's why I want to give
- 1:10you a bit of a warning. Guys, remember silver is
- 1:14volatile and what we've experienced here during last
- 1:17week and today so far is what's called upward volatility.
- 1:22There will be downward volatility as well.
- 1:24Hey, don't get me wrong, I believe, you know, I believe in
- 1:28505 thousand $50,000 silver in the future.
- 1:32I want the price to go up and I believe it will continue to go
- 1:35up, but there will be volatility.
- 1:37Days like today are a lot of fun.
- 1:40Yes, absolutely. But there will be days where
- 1:43we'll have big down red numbers as well.
- 1:45But forget about that. Let's enjoy today.
- 1:47What do you say? And let's go see what Tavi Costa
- 1:50has to say about what's happening right now.
- 1:54And then I'll give you the other reason that I'm hearing why
- 1:57we're having this big move. Tavi says this.
- 2:00Oops, I was told the silver bubble burst two months ago.
- 2:05Remember that? January 28th and that it was
- 2:08never coming back. That view failed to understand a
- 2:13simple reality. Commodities never peak when the
- 2:17structural demand is rising, while both current and future
- 2:21supply remain heavily constrained.
- 2:23And we're going to look at some numbers later that are going to
- 2:26blow your mind about that, in particular with silver.
- 2:29It's a classic misunderstanding of a long neglected sector of
- 2:33the market. You got that right, game on.
- 2:36And of course, there's the wedge pattern that we've looked at ad
- 2:39nauseam. And just for fun, we'll circle
- 2:43this right here that we have indeed broken out.
- 2:47Now, guys, look, I'll tell you what I'm going to bang the table
- 2:50about. We got something exciting from
- 2:52the smartest guy out there, not just in the precious metal
- 2:56sector, but the but the traditional mainstream financial
- 3:00services sector. Also, Jeffrey Gunlock said
- 3:03something that can make us feel great about gold and silver, not
- 3:07just for the next month, year, but let's say decade.
- 3:11And it's something that corroborates what we've been
- 3:13talking about down here in the basement for the last six weeks.
- 3:17And it all has to do with inflation.
- 3:20It's going to be a glorious decade ahead.
- 3:22I want to read you what Jeffrey said and how it relates directly
- 3:26to what we've been talking about.
- 3:28Business Insider, the bond king. Jeffrey Gunlock, if you don't
- 3:33know who he is, go check him out.
- 3:36He is like the dude, the man, right?
- 3:38He rarely speaks. Often times they beg him to come
- 3:42on things like CNBC, the Wall Street Journal.
- 3:45Now, here's what he says. He says no rate cuts are coming.
- 3:49And oh, my gosh, no rate cuts. Jeffrey, what?
- 3:53And investors should load up on cash, gold and real assets.
- 3:58That would include silver as well.
- 4:01All right, let's go down here. Jeff thinks an investor should
- 4:04load up on cash and gold. He's updated his investing
- 4:08playbook to include a 20% allocation to cash and hard
- 4:13assets. The recommendation is fueled in
- 4:17part by his expectation for no rate cuts in 2026.
- 4:21We're going to talk about that, OK.
- 4:23He's warning investors about jumping into the risk on trade.
- 4:28Now this is where it gets interesting.
- 4:29Let's keep going down. Thank you Northern Trust for
- 4:33that great advertisement. Legendary Fixed income investor
- 4:37and CIO of Double Line Capital recommended investors load up on
- 4:41cash, gold and other real assets in their portfolios.
- 4:44Speaking to Bloomberg this week, he pointed to a handful of risk
- 4:48he saw looming over stocks and other risk assets, namely the
- 4:53risk that the Fed could hike rates rather than cut them.
- 4:57So wait, why is he saying the Fed could hike rates but you
- 5:00should still buy gold and other real assets like silver?
- 5:05Gunlock, a long time bear who's repeatedly warned of hotter
- 5:09inflation. Oh, that's interesting.
- 5:11And the US dollar eroding in value pointed to expectations at
- 5:17the start of the year that the central bank would issue two or
- 5:21three rate cuts by the end of 2026.
- 5:25OK, let's pull this all together.
- 5:28OK? Jeffrey Gunlock, read about him.
- 5:32I won't say it again. He's the man.
- 5:34OK is saying that we're likely not going to get rate cuts.
- 5:37Oh my gosh. Oh, my gosh.
- 5:39That's bad for gold and silver. No.
- 5:40Wrong, wrong, wrong. He's actually saying that we
- 5:43could have some rate hikes. What is most importantly he is
- 5:47saying is that inflation is going to take off.
- 5:51There's two components to the real interest rate calculation.
- 5:56Everybody all the, all the sheeple, they all focused on the
- 6:02Fed in the interest rates, right?
- 6:04All the feds got to cut rates for gold to go up, for silver to
- 6:07go up. Wrong.
- 6:08OK. Because there's another
- 6:10component of that calculation called inflation, like Jeffrey
- 6:14Gunlock understands, like we understand, OK, And inflation,
- 6:18while interest rates can only get cut 1 or 2% Max inflation
- 6:24can go up 5%, ten percent, 20%, 100% hyperinflation.
- 6:30That's the most critical component that's going to
- 6:34determine the value of gold and silver over the next 10 years.
- 6:38I will continue to beat the table.
- 6:41We did it with it. We did it with stagflation,
- 6:44right, two years ago, and that came true.
- 6:46And look where we are, guys. Over the next 10 years, the only
- 6:51thing we got to keep an eye on is inflation.
- 6:54And Jeffrey Gunlock essentially said that same thing.
- 6:57Interest rates can go up, inflation will go up more, okay?
- 7:02They can raise interest rates. Inflation can go up a lot more
- 7:06and buy gold, okay, And real assets.
- 7:09He didn't say silver, but I think it's safe to say that
- 7:12silver is a real, real asset. More exciting news in the world
- 7:17of silver. We talked about this yesterday,
- 7:19but there's something else when it comes to comparing the price
- 7:24of silver to the S&P 500. The silver to SPX ratio is
- 7:28primed OK to outperform. Let's pull this up again, guys.
- 7:34What this shows is, is that the price of silver as compared to
- 7:39the S&P 500 as you can, But there's something cool on here
- 7:43we're going to point out. As you can see over here, we're
- 7:46currently at point O1 with silver at what, $8485 per oz in
- 7:52the S&P 500 at 7400. That this ratio has changed a
- 7:57little bit today, but it's probably .11 literally an ounce
- 8:01of silver represents 1% of 1 unit of the S&P 500.
- 8:07That did get is high back here in 1980 is .45 almost 1/2,
- 8:14right, which would mean if we got to that point today, we
- 8:17would be at $3700 silver. That's not the point.
- 8:20The point is this, look at this chart, OK, do you see?
- 8:25Well, just look the lines already there, that blue line we
- 8:30are in a cup and handle on this chart as well.
- 8:35And if we break out, right, if we go up to just .1 on this
- 8:41chart from where we are, that would be about right here, OK.
- 8:45If we go to 10% in the S&P 500 stays where it is right now,
- 8:50it's 7400 that excuse me, that would give us $740 silver.
- 8:59But the big exciting thing is that we got a cup and handle
- 9:03just like the cup and handle that we had in the actual silver
- 9:07price that we looked at two and three and four years ago.
- 9:10Every day down here in the basement that we broke out of
- 9:14that $50 cup and handle from 1980 to 2011 through today, when
- 9:20we broke out above $50, which was the base on that.
- 9:25You know what happened to the silver price?
- 9:28OK, Now sometimes doing little things over and over for 10
- 9:34years, like maybe buying $100 worth of silver.
- 9:37You know how much silver you would have right now if over the
- 9:40last 10 years you invested $100 a month and silver.
- 9:45Check this out. I was, I was shocked, I was
- 9:48flummoxed when I saw this. Traditional money shares, $100 a
- 9:53month for 10 years equals $12,000.
- 9:58OK, that would what would you have today in silver?
- 10:01If you've done that over the last 10 years, you would have
- 10:04almost $45,000 in gold. You would have almost 33,000 in
- 10:10the S&P 500. You'd have 25,000 silver wins
- 10:14the day. Here it is in more visual form
- 10:17for you. Again, that's putting $100 per
- 10:20month into both silver gold and the S&P 500 for 10 years
- 10:25straight. That's where we go now.
- 10:26Next we're going to talk about some incredible silver specific
- 10:31exciting data. Oh, I forgot to tell you.
- 10:36The other big reason why everybody's saying silver's
- 10:38going up today is the rebalancing of silver versus
- 10:42gold. The gold to silver ratio, which
- 10:45is now actually below 60 to 1, but it's still like 58.5 last
- 10:50time I looked at it, that silver has still been undervalued
- 10:54relative to gold. Now next we're going to talk
- 10:56about crazy, exciting, fundamental reasons why we can
- 11:00continue not just with price, but with the fundamentals.
- 11:03That's what eventually drives the price of everything in
- 11:07specific to silver. Thank you.
- 11:09First Mint, if you're specific to silver, First Mint is the
- 11:14silver specialist mint. That's all they do is mint
- 11:18silver. That's some incredible products.
- 11:22Here's the back of their year of the Horse coin.
- 11:25Just absolutely beautiful products that you can get at
- 11:29their website at great prices. They've got great selection,
- 11:34great customer service, free shipping on orders over $299 and
- 11:40because they get their silver directly from First Majestic,
- 11:44who owns them right? The the silver gets mined in
- 11:48Mexico, goes directly to 1st Mint in Las Vegas, NV where they
- 11:53mint the silver world class silver bullion products.
- 11:57They then go directly to you, literally from the mine to the
- 12:00meant to you. It's that's all they do is
- 12:03silver and it's the freshest silver in town and it's never
- 12:06touched by the Comex or the LBMA.
- 12:09Here's their website if you want to check them out first,
- 12:12mint.com, go over here to store and you can check out all their
- 12:17different products. And there we are.
- 12:21Here we go. Go over there to store and you
- 12:23can check out all their different products.
- 12:26All right, let's talk about some crazy fundamentals, exciting
- 12:30fundamentals when it comes to the silver situation right now
- 12:35in the world, we are living through historic times for gold
- 12:41and in particular for silver. Silver prices up, but the
- 12:45production barely moves. When silver prices surge, global
- 12:51mine production stays almost completely felt flat.
- 12:54Are you trying to show something?
- 12:56I am and I am not. Thank you, Susie.
- 13:00Here we go. All right, guys.
- 13:02So when, when silver production surges, OK, Or I'm sorry, when
- 13:06silver demand surges, when the price surges, the production is
- 13:10remaining exactly the same, flat.
- 13:12Higher prices don't create more supply.
- 13:16Most silver is a byproduct of copper, lead, and zinc mining.
- 13:20That's exactly why the deficits keep growing.
- 13:22And there's the visual that they brought up.
- 13:24But man, it spawned me because we got a lot more to talk about
- 13:29in regard to this. OK #1 yes, silver is a byproduct
- 13:34mostly of copper mining #2 Silver is becoming harder and
- 13:41harder to find because all the easy silver is already been
- 13:46found over the last hundreds and thousands of years.
- 13:50The new silver deposits, right, are becoming harder to find.
- 13:53But it's even more interesting because the fact that we went
- 13:57through decades of price suppression, price manipulation
- 14:00in silver, almost nobody was out there exploring for silver.
- 14:05Nobody wanted to finance companies to go out and drill
- 14:09and find new silver. Only really the true
- 14:12visionaries, right? Like Silver 47, First Majestic
- 14:16Silver, and there's a handful of them.
- 14:18We're out there looking, but not many.
- 14:21OK. And on top of that, it's going
- 14:24to take people think, oh, you go discover silver and next year
- 14:28you can mine it. No, it's like 10 years minimum
- 14:31between when you discover silver.
- 14:35Excuse me when you discover silver and when you're really
- 14:39actually able to mine it. OK, there is no the the bottom
- 14:43line is this. There's no magic knob somewhere
- 14:47at a silver mine where they can turn a knob and make more silver
- 14:51be produced, sure, but maybe they can make some small tweaks
- 14:55and produce a tiny bit more. But the silver miners would love
- 14:58that if oh, we could just instantly double our production.
- 15:01No, it doesn't work that way. And from a big picture for
- 15:05perspective at the pipeline of silver and wait till you see
- 15:10this next data we're going to look at and gold as well, right
- 15:13to being being rapidly depleted when we look out 10 years from
- 15:18now, OK? When we look at the skyrocketing
- 15:21demand for silver in particular versus all these fundamental
- 15:25factors that we just talked about that point toward the fact
- 15:28that there's not going to be more silver available, it's
- 15:31going to get very interesting. All right, now check this out.
- 15:44The mining industry was completely abandoned.
- 15:49Hold on. Hello.
- 15:51OK, here we go. Sorry about that guys.
- 15:53The mining industry was completely abandoned while the
- 15:55world's demand for its metal exploded.
- 15:59Mining share of global market cap collapsed from 10% to just
- 16:051%. At the same time, supply has
- 16:09fallen over 50% from its peak, and we're going to look at a
- 16:14chart from the Federal Reserve below.
- 16:16US gold and silver, or production?
- 16:21Demand for gold, silver, uranium, copper and rare earths
- 16:26is at record highs. This is one of the most extreme
- 16:29disconnects in modern market. So while we have demand at
- 16:33record highs, if we go to this chart from the Saint Louis
- 16:37Federal Reserve and you may not be able to read it, but at the
- 16:40very top it says industrial production, mining gold ore and
- 16:46silver ore. And it's this is kind of a a
- 16:49little bit of a challenging chart to read because it says
- 16:532017. Yes, Yeah, hold on.
- 16:58Oh, you've. Got a crab blade from
- 17:01International Stacker and you got now a little thousand 1100
- 17:05people watching. Oh my gosh.
- 17:07Hey, is that I think that's Crustacean Nation is here.
- 17:14Welcome, man. International Stacker.
- 17:16I love that guy and I feature your your content quite often on
- 17:21the channel. So welcome guys.
- 17:23We love silver and today's a big, big day for silver.
- 17:26But this chart shows industrial production from of gold ore and
- 17:31silver ore with 2017 being right at the 100 the baseline.
- 17:38And as you can see, right over the last seven years, that
- 17:42number is just gone down and down.
- 17:44That is the future supply of silver.
- 17:47Where will it come from, right. OK, Now next on top of that, in
- 17:53case you're interested in mining stocks, it gets even more
- 17:57interesting because we get this from 10%, right?
- 18:04This is this is how small the mining sector is coming.
- 18:08This is where the future supply needs to come from.
- 18:16From 10% of global market cap in 1900 to just 1% in 2025.
- 18:24The mining industry has been gutted and pushed to the
- 18:27margins. While at the same time, it's
- 18:30absolutely crucial for artificial intelligence, EVs,
- 18:33data centers and the green transition.
- 18:36I mean, look at this, it's not just since the year 2, the, the
- 18:40year 1900. I mean, the, the, the mining
- 18:44sector was generally, you know, represented, let's say 5 to 12%
- 18:48of the world's total stock market market cap.
- 18:52But look at what has happened since 1960.
- 18:56And now we're all the way down here at 1% in These things run
- 19:02in cycles. These things run in.
- 19:04I mean, we are moving into a commodity super cycle where the
- 19:09mining sector will be, will, will, will re emerge, will be re
- 19:14recognized as a leader and critical for what the world
- 19:18needs. Because the world needs EVs, the
- 19:20world needs solid-state batteries, the world needs solar
- 19:23panels, the world needs microchips and electronics.
- 19:26Now the world also needs to get back to $100 silver.
- 19:31Excuse me, let's go do a check on our friend the Oriental Ghost
- 19:34at the Shanghai Gold Exchange where we saw last night the
- 19:40silver price closed at $91.00. That was when we had about
- 19:45$81.00 in the in the in the West at the Comex and at the LBMA.
- 19:51So it's going to be interesting. Tomorrow we're going to be
- 19:55watching to see how soon we can breakthrough.
- 20:01To $100 per oz silver. All right guys, hey, thanks
- 20:06everybody for being here. Thanks for joining me on the
- 20:09live stream today. This has been incredible.
- 20:12It's an incredible day to be in the markets.
- 20:13It's an incredible time to be in the precious metals.
- 20:17I also want to say thank you to channel sponsor first mining
- 20:19gold can I'll ring that bell today.
- 20:22I'll ring that bell. All right upstairs, Susie wants
- 20:27me to ring the bell. We'll do that.
- 20:29We got a lot more to talk about tomorrow as well.
- 20:31Deutsche Bank telling us $8000 gold.
- 20:35Let's look at this. I got one more thing we'll look
- 20:37at, but what an incredible time. I mean, I'm, I'm actually a
- 20:40little flummoxed with what's going on within these markets.
- 20:44It's, I did not expect this on a Monday morning, but but here you
- 20:50go guys. Catoosa shares this Tether
- 20:54versus China in gold buying arena.
- 20:58This is Tether who is tokenizing the world's gold.
- 21:02I had no idea these are quarters going back to December.
- 21:06The yellow bar representing Tether.
- 21:09Look how much gold Tether bought in relation to China.
- 21:12Again, Tether is tokenizing the gold, and all of that gold is
- 21:18being held in a vault in Switzerland.
- 21:22All right, let's ring the bell. Let's see if we can find it.
- 21:25Here we go. For us, the basement dwellers.
- 21:30Super appreciate everybody being here.
- 21:32I appreciate the Crustacean Nation showing up.
- 21:34Man, We love these silver communities.
- 21:37And I know what do they call themselves?
- 21:38Diamond Claws, right? Like we are the people that are
- 21:41buying and holding the silver that are the true believers.
- 21:45And as more and more people join our ranks, it's going to get a
- 21:48lot more interesting. Thanks for being here.
- 21:51Thanks for being a basement dweller.
- 21:53Everybody take care and I'll see you.
- 21:55Yeah, you. I'll see you guys soon.
- 21:58Bye. Bye.
