- 3:52Speaker 1: I don't even want to get too caught up in
- 3:54Speaker 1: talking about these like so called validating forces, right, like
- 3:58Speaker 1: these different outlets, all that is amazing, But the deepest
- 4:01Speaker 1: truth of the matter is she is a light worker
- 4:05Speaker 1: a light bearer, a deeply processed and informed healer in
- 4:09Speaker 1: the world. She's exceptional and I'm excited to share her
- 4:13Speaker 1: with you today. So, without further ado, welcome Jessamine Stanley
- 4:20Speaker 1: to the Dropping Gyms podcast. Thank you so much for
- 4:23Speaker 1: having me. I'm happy to be here, honored to be here. Honestly,
- 4:27Speaker 1: I am so honored, um truly to share the space
- 4:31Speaker 1: with you. And I am so blown away by your work.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Let me start there, let me anchor that there there
- 4:40Speaker 1: were so you know, it's interesting. I'm going to dive
- 4:44Speaker 1: right in. So it's it's we're gonna talk. We're gonna
- 4:46Speaker 1: explore so many things. You have two phenomenal books. Your
- 4:49Speaker 1: your latest book, Yoke My Yoga of Self Acceptance, was
- 4:53Speaker 1: just released this past June UM, and I know that
- 4:55Speaker 1: so many listeners are in the process of really deeply
- 4:59Speaker 1: savory it. And you know, first, I really want to
- 5:02Speaker 1: speak to the way that I connected to your work.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And so we've all been on the spiritual path for
- 5:09Speaker 1: our whole life, and I've been in deep study for
- 5:11Speaker 1: at least a decade, and I found that yoga was
- 5:14Speaker 1: the one thing that I wasn't naturally connecting to and
- 5:18Speaker 1: you know, when you're kind of moving in in some
- 5:20Speaker 1: of those spaces, especially like within the meditation community or
- 5:23Speaker 1: some of really the some of the deeper spaces of
- 5:28Speaker 1: spirituality that we can find yoga. Yoga is very often
- 5:34Speaker 1: a part of the process for people. But then there's
- 5:37Speaker 1: some of us that I noticed, and this really launched
- 5:41Speaker 1: probably my deepest awakening when I was able to re
- 5:47Speaker 1: enter my body. That was my deepest, deepest level of
- 5:51Speaker 1: awakening I've had yet. And it was the peace that
- 5:55Speaker 1: I think I avoided throughout my entire spiritual path. And
- 6:00Speaker 1: it's the piece I think I didn't understand. And so
- 6:03Speaker 1: something I used to say. People would be like, do
- 6:05Speaker 1: you do yoga? And I'd be like, oh, well, no,
- 6:07Speaker 1: I haven't worked with that modality yet, or like no,
- 6:09Speaker 1: like I'm not really into yoga, but I do this
- 6:11Speaker 1: and this, and I searched myself. I would go to
- 6:13Speaker 1: classes and I would say what and I would do
- 6:17Speaker 1: it and it would feel good. But I'd say, why
- 6:18Speaker 1: don't I love it? I love so many other parts
- 6:21Speaker 1: of this spiritual journey, especially the shadow work. I'm someone
- 6:25Speaker 1: that loves to deep dive in my crevices, and I
- 6:30Speaker 1: was just saying why don't I love this? Why? And
- 6:35Speaker 1: then it came when I started understanding that I was
- 6:39Speaker 1: not inside of my body and what that even meant,
- 6:43Speaker 1: what that even meant to be alive, but to notice
- 6:47Speaker 1: that I couldn't feel myself inside literally, oh my god,
- 6:57Speaker 1: literally it. I think that I don't want to interrupt,
- 7:04Speaker 1: but that's what I've been telling myself. Just listen, so
- 7:08Speaker 1: I want to receive what you're saying about much to say,
- 7:11Speaker 1: I want to and I want to really reflect to you.
- 7:14Speaker 1: You know, um when I first started seeing your work,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and I think I first found you, like on my
- 7:19Speaker 1: Explorer page. When I first started seeing your work and
- 7:24Speaker 1: even even watching you light up before doing your yoga
- 7:30Speaker 1: was so powerful for me, like it lit inside of
- 7:34Speaker 1: me this desire for movement. And I want to share
- 7:38Speaker 1: this for anyone that's listening that maybe at this juncture
- 7:40Speaker 1: of the pathway. But I remember, even when I first
- 7:43Speaker 1: started trying to be with my body, it was so
- 7:46Speaker 1: clunky and awkward, you know, I felt and I even
- 7:49Speaker 1: felt embarrassed at the fact that I didn't know how
- 7:52Speaker 1: to be in my body, or move my body, or
- 7:55Speaker 1: be at peace with my body. Even though the exterior.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Sometimes we can get dressed up, or we can go
- 8:01Speaker 1: out and dance and do these things, but it's not
- 8:05Speaker 1: the same. And the freedom that your existence, that your
- 8:11Speaker 1: spiritual teachings and practice have given me are just profound.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And I want to speak to that because what you offer,
- 8:20Speaker 1: you know, and you say this actually really beautifully in
- 8:22Speaker 1: your book. I have this written down that it's not
- 8:24Speaker 1: It's not about the postures, right, It's not about the postures,
- 8:27Speaker 1: it's not about your downward dogs, it's not about your
- 8:30Speaker 1: child's pose. It's not even about you know, the savasana
- 8:33Speaker 1: at the end, it is about the process of saying,
- 8:36Speaker 1: I'm willing to be with me right now, and I
- 8:39Speaker 1: will feel these pieces of my body that I may
- 8:42Speaker 1: not have had access to and make peace with them
- 8:45Speaker 1: and be acceptance, you know, being acceptance of them and
- 8:48Speaker 1: want to explore them. And so you know, I just
- 8:52Speaker 1: offer that to say, justin like you are a vessel
- 8:54Speaker 1: of the divine, Like you are a sacred, sacred, exceptional being,
- 8:59Speaker 1: and I'm so grateful that you exist, and I'm so
- 9:02Speaker 1: grateful that you have been willing to offer your work
- 9:06Speaker 1: in the world, and you have been willing to share
- 9:09Speaker 1: yourself at the deepest level possible. Oh I am, I
- 9:17Speaker 1: have to tell you so much of that work, so
- 9:23Speaker 1: much of that journey, so much of my truth, this whole,
- 9:30Speaker 1: this go around, this body, this experience, So much of
- 9:35Speaker 1: this not my conscious choice. Like I'm telling you, I
- 9:41Speaker 1: could have stayed in a space of not attempting to
- 9:47Speaker 1: accept my body, not even like being like, I would
- 9:51Speaker 1: have stayed in unconsciousness as long as possible. I wouldn't
- 9:55Speaker 1: be not I mean, even even in the even in
- 10:02Speaker 1: the expansion of what my work has become, I have
- 10:07Speaker 1: actively pushed back against like trying to engage spiritually with
- 10:13Speaker 1: the connection that comes from impacting other people. I feel
- 10:19Speaker 1: I find myself deeply critical of that impulse within myself.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And it's only now that I am really coming to except.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Further than all of this is everything is in its
- 10:36Speaker 1: right place, that there's no need to try to fix
- 10:39Speaker 1: anything or change anything or do it's just it's all
- 10:41Speaker 1: where it needs to be. All you need to do
- 10:43Speaker 1: is just look at all of it. And it's only
- 10:46Speaker 1: in that space that I'm able to even like really
- 10:52Speaker 1: receive you and my gratitude. It's so immense I hate
- 10:59Speaker 1: to even try to put words to it, because I
- 11:03Speaker 1: I feel like being able to be in this community
- 11:11Speaker 1: wherein truly all of us shining our light, all of
- 11:15Speaker 1: us like this, this that sacred energy I am carrying,
- 11:20Speaker 1: the same as the person in the office next to me,
- 11:24Speaker 1: in the office next to them. We are all everybody.
- 11:30Speaker 1: It's only because of all of us shining our light
- 11:33Speaker 1: that I think I am able to be present to
- 11:38Speaker 1: myself at all. So I just I feel a lot
- 11:42Speaker 1: of gratitude to have this opportunity to connect with you,
- 11:47Speaker 1: to connect with anyone outside of my house, and I
- 11:53Speaker 1: just I just hope to not take it for granted.
- 12:01Speaker 1: That's so. Yeah, I'm glad to be here, glad to
- 12:04Speaker 1: be in community. Thank you for having me. H what
- 12:11Speaker 1: was your first remembrance A feeling at home inside of yourself?
- 12:18Speaker 1: Mm hmmm mm hm. You know, when I think about
- 12:32Speaker 1: being at home within myself and now when I feel
- 12:38Speaker 1: the most at home within myself, I feel exactly the
- 12:45Speaker 1: same as I did when I was like six years old.
- 12:48Speaker 1: It's like summertime, whatever summer that would have been, summer
- 12:53Speaker 1: of ninety three maybe, and like I am, I'm wearing
- 12:57Speaker 1: a bathing suit as my outfit. That is my only
- 13:01Speaker 1: thing to where I'm a cancer. So this is this
- 13:03Speaker 1: is what we do. And I am I'm maybe if
- 13:07Speaker 1: there's a shoe needed, I'm like putting on something like
- 13:11Speaker 1: my auntie's heels or something my mom's heels. And I
- 13:16Speaker 1: am just being. I'm not trying, I'm not doing anything.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'm just being. And that even the times that I
- 13:28Speaker 1: can think of, oh god, the thing. Okay, So this
- 13:33Speaker 1: is the thing about coming home to yourself is it
- 13:37Speaker 1: is like a crash landing. I don't know if people,
- 13:41Speaker 1: but it's not like like I think that. It sounds
- 13:44Speaker 1: like it's total beautiful, you know. It sounds like it's like, yes,
- 13:50Speaker 1: I am at home with myself, and it's like, man,
- 13:52Speaker 1: it was rocky getting here because the time it's so brutal.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Like I don't think because I think before this time
- 14:01Speaker 1: that I'm about to say, I don't think that I
- 14:03Speaker 1: had actually consciously been aware of what was happening prior
- 14:10Speaker 1: to this moment. That was I think the moment before
- 14:14Speaker 1: this were very, very beautiful. But also I did not
- 14:21Speaker 1: hold onto them to any degree and I did not
- 14:23Speaker 1: understand them, and so they but I they passed through
- 14:28Speaker 1: me and were me. But this one time, like I
- 14:33Speaker 1: didn't understand that the the cataclism that has to happen
- 14:38Speaker 1: in order for it to happen, Like I did not
- 14:39Speaker 1: get that it's gonna be something real, ugly and brutal
- 14:44Speaker 1: that gets you there. But that feeling is like, oh,
- 14:47Speaker 1: it's like coming home. It is like it's not in it,
- 14:51Speaker 1: just in the most true way. Okay. So the time
- 14:54Speaker 1: that I'm thinking of was this. Actually I told the
- 14:57Speaker 1: story and everybody yoga, I think so if you are
- 15:01Speaker 1: listening and you read that book, when you know the story,
- 15:03Speaker 1: But it was the last It was during my teacher training,
- 15:08Speaker 1: my yoga teacher training, and I would say, you, you
- 15:12Speaker 1: alluded to this um earlier. But when I first started
- 15:16Speaker 1: practicing yoga, I really did not. I was not comfortable
- 15:20Speaker 1: engaging with what it meant to be home with myself.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I was not comfortable engaging with my my spirits. I
- 15:29Speaker 1: was I was not comfortable acknowledging that aspect of self.
- 15:35Speaker 1: And I felt very much that the physical practice was
- 15:42Speaker 1: the reason, the why, the motivator. And during my teacher training,
- 15:50Speaker 1: we did this exercise where we were paired up with
- 15:55Speaker 1: another trainee and we were when partner yoga together, and
- 16:02Speaker 1: I found myself in a state of great anxiety because
- 16:09Speaker 1: my body is so much fatter than the person that
- 16:14Speaker 1: I was partnered with, and I was I was so
- 16:18Speaker 1: paranoid about hurting her and like what it was going
- 16:21Speaker 1: to mean for me to hurt her. And so the
- 16:24Speaker 1: whole practice, I just kept apologizing over and over again.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I would be like, oh my god, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And at one point she literally just stopped me and
- 16:37Speaker 1: she put her hands on my shoulders and she said,
- 16:40Speaker 1: you do know you don't have to apologize for everything,
- 16:43Speaker 1: don't you? And I I was, you know, you build
- 16:51Speaker 1: that fire during the practice where it's just incinerating everything
- 16:57Speaker 1: that does not need to be there. And so without
- 16:59Speaker 1: even thinking, I said, out loud, oh, I'm sorry. I
- 17:04Speaker 1: guess I'm just apologizing for existing, and that wow, as
- 17:11Speaker 1: the reality, it's stopped me cold because I was like,
- 17:14Speaker 1: how long have I been thinking this? How long have
- 17:16Speaker 1: I been feeling I'm apologizing for existing? What what is
- 17:21Speaker 1: that connected to? What drinks did I have? Because I'm
- 17:24Speaker 1: apologizing for existing? What places have I not gone? What
- 17:28Speaker 1: people have I been in relationships with? Because I believe
- 17:30Speaker 1: I don't deserve to exist, and it's beyond thinking like
- 17:36Speaker 1: oh my body is okay, and I deserved to be
- 17:39Speaker 1: present in my body. It's like I I am, I
- 17:46Speaker 1: am alive and a light and I am unable to
- 17:52Speaker 1: engage with that at all. M and I mean it
- 17:57Speaker 1: just that experience. I thought of it and described it
- 18:04Speaker 1: as like it's like I had been I didn't realize
- 18:07Speaker 1: that I've been looking at a foggy bathroom mirror, but
- 18:09Speaker 1: that I in that moment, it was like swiping down
- 18:12Speaker 1: and I was actually looking at myself and I was like,
- 18:15Speaker 1: who is this person? Who are you? This is? This
- 18:17Speaker 1: is who I've been the whole time. And that is
- 18:20Speaker 1: to me what it feels like to come home to myself.
- 18:23Speaker 1: It feels like I am this is all of me,
- 18:27Speaker 1: This is the whole thing, and there are parts of
- 18:29Speaker 1: it that I cannot even it is to taste it
- 18:33Speaker 1: in my mouth. It's scary, but that is who I
- 18:38Speaker 1: am and that is the truth. And that like coming home,
- 18:44Speaker 1: which is not always fun. Sometimes it's really not funny,
- 18:48Speaker 1: but like that, it it made me feel comfortable, It
- 18:54Speaker 1: made me feel good. M hm. Oh you are a
- 19:34Speaker 1: holy experience is I'm like just so grateful to be
- 19:40Speaker 1: in conversation with somebody who was very much you know,
- 19:45Speaker 1: also doing this. You know, also whatever this is because
- 19:52Speaker 1: to your point, like it's been having a spiritual experience
- 19:55Speaker 1: since day one, you know what I mean. It's like
- 19:58Speaker 1: this has been and it doesn't even matter if you're
- 20:00Speaker 1: conscious of it, but to be aware of it and
- 20:04Speaker 1: to be able to connect with other people who are
- 20:08Speaker 1: aware of it, I'm just so grateful God. And it's
- 20:13Speaker 1: the rarity of it, you know, I think is what
- 20:15Speaker 1: makes it emotional like I have. I don't know if
- 20:20Speaker 1: I've yet cried on an episode, but right now my
- 20:22Speaker 1: eyes are filled and I'm like, all right, girl, what's
- 20:24Speaker 1: going on? But you? But you know what it. This
- 20:29Speaker 1: is what it feels like for me, Jiman, watching you
- 20:33Speaker 1: in this moment, being in your essence. Um, I am
- 20:39Speaker 1: also I'm also reminded of my divine nature and the
- 20:43Speaker 1: way that I'm experiencing it with you right now is
- 20:47Speaker 1: you know, you are residing in the radiance of your holiness.
- 20:51Speaker 1: You are, Yeah, You're a holy experience and it's because
- 20:57Speaker 1: of your willingness to be with you. And I think
- 21:03Speaker 1: that's the piece that you know, I just My deepest
- 21:09Speaker 1: desire with this show and with my life is I
- 21:13Speaker 1: don't want to give people hacks. I don't want to
- 21:16Speaker 1: give people tips and tricks. I don't want to sit
- 21:19Speaker 1: up here and box myself or market myself in a
- 21:22Speaker 1: way that's like, Okay, so meditate to do this and
- 21:24Speaker 1: do that. And yes, I'm a meditation teacher, I'm a
- 21:27Speaker 1: wellness educator. It is the shadows. These are all the
- 21:31Speaker 1: technologies for human experience. These are all the pieces that
- 21:35Speaker 1: allow us to unlock different levels. But it is the
- 21:39Speaker 1: willingness to be with you in a way that is
- 21:44Speaker 1: not shown in the world. It's a willingness to be
- 21:47Speaker 1: with yourself in a way that doesn't have a name
- 21:50Speaker 1: or a title, or a formula um or a package
- 21:54Speaker 1: or addressing or a comparative or a it is. I
- 22:00Speaker 1: have no idea, I feel you. All of this is,
- 22:08Speaker 1: but I know I am just at the deepest level
- 22:10Speaker 1: possible meant to experience me. And it's even the laying
- 22:14Speaker 1: down of the figuring out. And I think the place
- 22:17Speaker 1: that I'm in personally now it's the Yeah, I'm I'm
- 22:21Speaker 1: constantly living in process, but there is no figuring out.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Everything is theory until we leave this place. Right literally,
- 22:28Speaker 1: the whole thing theory a full scientific method, third or
- 22:34Speaker 1: fourth step or whichever one's I was not paying attention
- 22:37Speaker 1: to the class, but the parts where it's like you're
- 22:39Speaker 1: just testing the hypothesis, that's the whole thing. And then
- 22:42Speaker 1: it's over and you're like, oh, well, I don't know,
- 22:46Speaker 1: yeah they yeah, and it's it's like falling into the
- 22:49Speaker 1: acceptance of this is actually not a test I am
- 22:54Speaker 1: going to get a score on that I'll necessarily know about,
- 22:57Speaker 1: right Like, it's like I'm doing all of these things things,
- 23:01Speaker 1: but ultimately it is to survive this place right now.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Legitimately I always say legit like I do yoga because
- 23:10Speaker 1: I practice yoga because I just it's my medicine. Like
- 23:13Speaker 1: it is the thing that I do so that I
- 23:16Speaker 1: can just be around other human beings and like be
- 23:20Speaker 1: chill and not lose my ship all there. That is
- 23:22Speaker 1: that and the and I use cannabis because that is
- 23:28Speaker 1: how I'm like, that's my gift to other people, because
- 23:31Speaker 1: I feel like when I don't then you can tell.
- 23:33Speaker 1: And this is then There's just so many different things
- 23:37Speaker 1: that we have to do to just be able to
- 23:42Speaker 1: be okay. With so many things that are not okay.
- 23:46Speaker 1: They are not okay. Living in a world that is
- 23:50Speaker 1: moving from a space of fear. It's not okay. And
- 23:54Speaker 1: it's something that I think it's such an interesting evolution
- 23:59Speaker 1: on humanity and ultimately is very beautiful in and of itself.
- 24:03Speaker 1: This whole, the chaos of this world right now is
- 24:08Speaker 1: it is beautiful, but it is tremendously sad and very
- 24:14Speaker 1: very scary and definitely like you don't have to be
- 24:18Speaker 1: this way. But the only way to like do anything
- 24:23Speaker 1: about that hour to be even just to not even
- 24:25Speaker 1: do anything. This is where my practice is. It's like
- 24:28Speaker 1: you don't always have to do something, you can just
- 24:30Speaker 1: be It's okay, non't need to do something. So it's
- 24:33Speaker 1: like even just to be with it. I feel like
- 24:37Speaker 1: just having the practices and to your point about hats,
- 24:41Speaker 1: first of all, I feel you on it. I cannot
- 24:43Speaker 1: even I hate it's I hate calling myself a teacher
- 24:47Speaker 1: of anything. It hurts my feelings every time because I'm like,
- 24:51Speaker 1: I am a student, that is it is it. I
- 24:54Speaker 1: am just I'm learning, Like every day is like I'm
- 24:57Speaker 1: just learning, and I think I'm a I'm a practitioner.
- 25:01Speaker 1: I just show up in my own practice and and
- 25:04Speaker 1: the teaching is in the being. And so if this
- 25:06Speaker 1: is if there's anyone who feels that they've been taught
- 25:09Speaker 1: by me, it is only because I was just being
- 25:10Speaker 1: about being a doing but at the exact same time,
- 25:15Speaker 1: And this is I only really was thinking about this
- 25:17Speaker 1: when you were saying it. I was like, there's so
- 25:19Speaker 1: much beauty and meeting people where they are and offering
- 25:23Speaker 1: the tips and the legitimate hacks that make it possible
- 25:26Speaker 1: because there's so many things that I mean, had I'm
- 25:33Speaker 1: not like, okay, there were there's so many, like especially
- 25:37Speaker 1: with meditation, so many things that had I not had
- 25:41Speaker 1: that as a standard to work with, would never have
- 25:45Speaker 1: come to understand that it's all meditation and that there's
- 25:48Speaker 1: it's all just that there's endless opportunities for me, but
- 25:52Speaker 1: like that you have to have those experiences. So anyway,
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, and you know, and I still feel
- 25:58Speaker 1: you on that because I think you know where my
- 26:01Speaker 1: against us might come in. It's more around the packaging.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Because you know, something I like to express everyone is
- 26:08Speaker 1: we we're all teachers, right, Like we're all called to share,
- 26:13Speaker 1: we are all called to reach the deepest level of
- 26:17Speaker 1: our authenticity, and by nature of that, the radiance that
- 26:21Speaker 1: comes from us is what teaches, it is what serves.
- 26:25Speaker 1: And so I think in this moment right now, I'm
- 26:28Speaker 1: enjoying residing in that and saying, you know, much like
- 26:31Speaker 1: like you know the very famous quote, but be the
- 26:34Speaker 1: change you wish to see in the world. The way
- 26:36Speaker 1: that that really feels and looks is I am occupying
- 26:39Speaker 1: so much fucking space within myself that it is effortlessly
- 26:43Speaker 1: giving a permission and a guide post for others. Be
- 26:49Speaker 1: the change. I'm like, Yo, people use this to say
- 26:52Speaker 1: so many different things, and I'm like, that is the message.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Take up the space, hold in its not taking up,
- 27:01Speaker 1: especially when we live in a world that wants you
- 27:03Speaker 1: to be small, that wants all of us to be
- 27:06Speaker 1: like trying to make us as small and compact as possible,
- 27:10Speaker 1: to be able to fit as many beings as possible.
- 27:14Speaker 1: But the realities that our light cannot be contained by
- 27:17Speaker 1: any box. There's no even the box of the body.
- 27:21Speaker 1: So that to take out, to to allow yourself to
- 27:25Speaker 1: be as big and vast as you are is just so.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I mean, even one other person witnessing that and feeling
- 27:37Speaker 1: and knowing within themselves that that exact same vastness is
- 27:41Speaker 1: there and it is that that is all that they are.
- 27:44Speaker 1: That's that's how we shift, That's how we turn that
- 27:48Speaker 1: big wheel. And I mean we turn it and then
- 27:51Speaker 1: something new happens, some fresh hell, you know, but it's
- 27:56Speaker 1: a thing to fresh hell, so way passed the time,
- 28:01Speaker 1: you know. Oh my God, I love that you said that,
- 28:04Speaker 1: because that is exactly I think, especially this last month.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I think with all the planetary movements, it was hell.
- 28:12Speaker 1: It was hell for me, absolutely literally hard. And I
- 28:18Speaker 1: think too, you know, it's like investigating, investigating those pieces
- 28:23Speaker 1: help so much because when we start to understand the
- 28:27Speaker 1: way that I experience it, some people may clutch your
- 28:29Speaker 1: pearls as you're listening, but the way that I experience
- 28:32Speaker 1: it is, you know, like we're in assimilation, Like we're
- 28:35Speaker 1: in this kind of experience that was crafted by God
- 28:39Speaker 1: for God to experience itself. So so much of our
- 28:42Speaker 1: life is really about the opposites and reversals and then
- 28:47Speaker 1: the constant refinements of the ways that we experience that duality.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Humanity is meant to exist completely steeped in duality. That's
- 28:58Speaker 1: what this planet is for you know, and I think
- 29:01Speaker 1: when I come into that space and you spoke to
- 29:03Speaker 1: this earlier where we were talking about, you know, being
- 29:07Speaker 1: an acceptance of what also feels like unbearable compassion, like
- 29:12Speaker 1: sometimes being alive and witnessing what's happening one feels so
- 29:18Speaker 1: profoundly empowering, even knowing that you have the ability to
- 29:22Speaker 1: be soft in this or to be a soft place
- 29:25Speaker 1: to land for others. But it's also it's also excruciating
- 29:29Speaker 1: in a way that there isn't language for. And one
- 29:32Speaker 1: of my spiritual teachers, UM, I remember we were having
- 29:36Speaker 1: a conversation and it's it was after UM, one of
- 29:40Speaker 1: my friends was murdered, and and I just sat and
- 29:44Speaker 1: I just started weeping, and I was like, I don't
- 29:46Speaker 1: want to feel this much all the time, Like feeling
- 29:50Speaker 1: this amount of love all the time, feeling this amount
- 29:53Speaker 1: of pressure in my heart, even feeling divinity in a
- 29:57Speaker 1: place that is really largely not divine in action. UM,
- 30:04Speaker 1: in some ways can be perceived is that it it
- 30:08Speaker 1: is just excruciating. UM. And sometimes it's hard. It is hard,
- 30:13Speaker 1: even as a light worker, even as someone who is
- 30:16Speaker 1: deeply rooted in the work, even someone you know, I
- 30:19Speaker 1: know I'm in the lineage of christ consciousness, and sometimes
- 30:22Speaker 1: you wake up and you say, do I really want
- 30:25Speaker 1: to be in this place? Absolutely? Absolutely, like okay, I
- 30:33Speaker 1: just okay, um, gather m. I feel like that experience
- 30:50Speaker 1: of I don't want to feel all of this. I
- 30:58Speaker 1: just I cannot tell you how deeply that resonates. I
- 31:03Speaker 1: just I think that. And I think it's because because
- 31:11Speaker 1: of being a light worker, because it being so it's
- 31:17Speaker 1: so tapped into the truth that that is even something
- 31:24Speaker 1: to be aware of. And it is just God, I mean,
- 31:30Speaker 1: just the most beautiful, the most I don't think that.
- 31:40Speaker 1: I think the hardness of it and the fullness of
- 31:43Speaker 1: it and the the bigness of it all. I think
- 31:48Speaker 1: lets us skirt underneath the surface sometimes just to not
- 31:54Speaker 1: have to experience all of it. Wow, And that I
- 32:02Speaker 1: just think it's so so beautiful and what this experience
- 32:07Speaker 1: is for. And I think the complaining about it is allowed.
- 32:10Speaker 1: That's a part of It's like, it's gotta be man,
- 32:15Speaker 1: you don't say I can't complain about some them. I'm like,
- 32:20Speaker 1: especially when the ship is so heavy, you know, like
- 32:24Speaker 1: when it is so especially yeah, when it's Yeah, the
- 32:31Speaker 1: things that are hardest. This was part one of a beautiful,
- 32:36Speaker 1: expansive conversation with Jessamine Stanley. Thank you so much for
- 32:41Speaker 1: joining us in this moment um. So much beautiful depth
- 32:46Speaker 1: has been shared so far. Really really enjoying this conversation.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Join us for part two. We're gonna deep dive even
- 32:53Speaker 1: further into Jessamine's work and in two ways that we
