- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with I our radio Ashley. Guess what I'm doing this weekend? Hi? Ben,
- 0:11Speaker 1: what are you doing this weekend? Well? First off, welcome
- 0:14Speaker 1: to another episode of the Almost Famous Podcast. I was
- 0:16Speaker 1: just so excited tell Ashley that I am flying to
- 0:19Speaker 1: Los Angeles for a day to play golf with Wells
- 0:22Speaker 1: Adams as we get prepared for the Invited Celebrity Classic
- 0:26Speaker 1: in Dallas. Because we're gonna play in LA to get
- 0:30Speaker 1: prep for a tournament in three weeks. You know how
- 0:32Speaker 1: excited I am about this. I'm ready. Why don't you
- 0:35Speaker 1: guys just become professional golfers. You'd be like the official
- 0:38Speaker 1: Golfers or Bachelor Nation. Be a good idea. If anybody's
- 0:41Speaker 1: listening and wants to watch us play golf, you can
- 0:43Speaker 1: watch us on NBC in Dallas. Yeah, it's gonna be
- 0:47Speaker 1: a big deal. I think in LA we're gonna be
- 0:49Speaker 1: playing with like the Jonas brothers. Oh really, yeah, because
- 0:53Speaker 1: Wells plays golf with them. Sometimes. But wait, isn't that
- 0:56Speaker 1: this weekend? Yeah, you couldn't possibly be seeing the Jonas
- 1:00Speaker 1: this weeking. Because I am seeing them on Saturday doesn't
- 1:03Speaker 1: mean they're not there on Friday Friday. They're not there
- 1:07Speaker 1: on Friday because they have a whole week of shows.
- 1:11Speaker 1: They're going through each of their albums. I'm sorry on
- 1:13Speaker 1: Broadway this week starting tonight. Oh my gosh, that sounds
- 1:16Speaker 1: like an awesome deal. So when you get tickets to
- 1:18Speaker 1: a Broadway Jonas Brothers show, everybody out there is going
- 1:22Speaker 1: tell me more. How can I get tickets? What's going
- 1:24Speaker 1: on here? I think they sold out super duper fast.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It was like almost like a tailor swow situation. You know,
- 1:29Speaker 1: it's a Broadway theater, so depending on the theater, it's
- 1:32Speaker 1: anywhere from like fort I want to say, like a thousand,
- 1:35Speaker 1: like two thousand tickets seats, And you know what I do?
- 1:38Speaker 1: I texted our producer Amy Schuckerman, and I said, do
- 1:41Speaker 1: we have a little hook up here? And she got
- 1:43Speaker 1: I got you covered. Shout out to Amy. I know.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I spent entire eight weeks in New York, and then
- 1:51Speaker 1: I saw that Jonas was, of course starting their series
- 1:55Speaker 1: of shows the night the day that I supposed to leave,
- 1:59Speaker 1: and I was like, you know what, all these days,
- 2:00Speaker 1: although I will miss the nostalgia, the day that I
- 2:03Speaker 1: want to go the most is going to be the
- 2:05Speaker 1: night that they play the new album for the first time.
- 2:07Speaker 1: So that's what I'm going on Saturday night. Plus I'm sorry,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I'm not like trying to, like, you know, overshadow your
- 2:13Speaker 1: golf weekend with well but but not only do I
- 2:18Speaker 1: go back to New York on Saturday. Thank goodness for
- 2:21Speaker 1: my mom and Jared for staying home and taking Kara Dawson.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Like we've I've been all over the place. Tomorrow, Jared
- 2:27Speaker 1: and I are flying to Tampa because we have another
- 2:30Speaker 1: opportunity to meet um Tom Brady. We're going to this
- 2:33Speaker 1: autograph event that we've have been planned since October, but
- 2:37Speaker 1: we didn't know until about an hour before recording this podcast,
- 2:40Speaker 1: got an email saying you will have a personal sixty
- 2:44Speaker 1: second one on one meeting with Tom. No, it's a
- 2:50Speaker 1: second meeting. I said, Jared, how is it possible that
- 2:53Speaker 1: you've idolized this man for so it's been like over
- 2:57Speaker 1: twenty years and now and now you're gonna meet him
- 3:01Speaker 1: twice in six weeks? That would you would you fly
- 3:04Speaker 1: across country to meet me? To meet you? Ben don't
- 3:10Speaker 1: even like joke about this, because you know that if
- 3:12Speaker 1: I wasn't part of Bachelor Nation that yes, I would
- 3:16Speaker 1: like you know this if I wasn't part on this
- 3:19Speaker 1: side of Bachelor Nation, of the cast side, not like
- 3:21Speaker 1: the fandom side, because I would have gone to all
- 3:24Speaker 1: these events and done my whole fan girl thing with
- 3:26Speaker 1: all of y'all. Yeah, I feel like the show kind
- 3:28Speaker 1: of ruined your fangirl stage. You kind of got like
- 3:30Speaker 1: numb too a little bit. It comes out probably good, Ben,
- 3:34Speaker 1: Do I need more fandoms to get behind? No, I
- 3:37Speaker 1: think you're good. But I mean I do think it
- 3:39Speaker 1: matured you into a level now where you're like looking
- 3:41Speaker 1: at these people equally. I mean, honestly, Tom Brady's lucky
- 3:44Speaker 1: to meet you. Oh huh huhs Like, do you think
- 3:48Speaker 1: that maybe he saw a real and that maybe he'll
- 3:50Speaker 1: recognize us Maybe not from the moment, but maybe like
- 3:52Speaker 1: just from like the content. Yeah, maybe as you're walking away,
- 3:55Speaker 1: he's like, Oh, that's the people that girl put the
- 4:00Speaker 1: Disney song behind me? Okay. Anyway, Well that's gonna be
- 4:04Speaker 1: a great weekend. I can't wait to hear more about
- 4:06Speaker 1: this Jones Brothers concert. It's a perk of working for
- 4:10Speaker 1: I Heart. I mean, I guess there you can think
- 4:12Speaker 1: Amy and I heeart, probably because I'm sure. Oh that's
- 4:14Speaker 1: an iHeart thing for sure. We thank you, Amy. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 1: you're doing all right. Well, Ashley, it's another week in
- 4:21Speaker 1: the show. Obviously, it's hometown week. We have a lot
- 4:24Speaker 1: of opinions about hometowns. It's a lot of opinions about
- 4:29Speaker 1: where the relationships are going. So let's just dive into it. Okay,
- 4:33Speaker 1: let's do it. I'm excited I got that week off
- 4:36Speaker 1: last week and now I'm ready to talk batch again. Yeah. Well,
- 4:39Speaker 1: I want to start with the thing I really have
- 4:42Speaker 1: the most opinions about. Here is my intro into this.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I feel bad for Zach. I'm starting to understand Zach more,
- 4:52Speaker 1: especially after this week. I don't change my opinion on
- 4:56Speaker 1: Zach again. I think he's a great dude. I think
- 4:59Speaker 1: he's there for the right reason. I think he's a
- 5:00Speaker 1: good bachelor. I just think at times like he has
- 5:04Speaker 1: confused me on his response to uh the women in
- 5:10Speaker 1: their concerns. That's okay. If that's the only thing I
- 5:13Speaker 1: got on this dude, that's a lot better than most seasons. Um.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I feel bad for Zach though, because they are making
- 5:20Speaker 1: him look so awkward. At times like so weird at times,
- 5:24Speaker 1: and it's not his fault. The shower scene at the
- 5:27Speaker 1: beginning of this episode. For some reason, I missed this
- 5:30Speaker 1: shower scene. Somebody sent me to TikTok. But I've seen
- 5:34Speaker 1: the shower scene very similar before. So but it's not like,
- 5:37Speaker 1: you know, it's not a Chris Soul's shower scene where
- 5:40Speaker 1: they like the hand down. It's not it's not a
- 5:43Speaker 1: shower scene that you watch. You go, that dude looks good. Now,
- 5:47Speaker 1: he looks good, all right, He's in good shape. He's
- 5:49Speaker 1: a good looking guy. His shirts off, he obviously is
- 5:52Speaker 1: very fit, all those things. But they like show the
- 5:55Speaker 1: piece and it's a long shower. I'm assuming, I'm assuming
- 5:58Speaker 1: this is a long piece of video. They're shower, they're
- 6:01Speaker 1: showing the piece that he's like scrubbing his armpits. Yeah,
- 6:05Speaker 1: i mean, good for him. Hygiene's important. He doesn't smell bad.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I'm sure he's you know, I'm I'm proud of him. Again,
- 6:11Speaker 1: this is not a criticism towards Zach. I'm wondering why
- 6:14Speaker 1: they choose the scene where they're like close up on
- 6:17Speaker 1: his nipple, pan out to him scrubbing his armpit I
- 6:21Speaker 1: don't know. Zach's the kind of guy I'd rather watch
- 6:24Speaker 1: him put on like aftershave or something, you know, you
- 6:27Speaker 1: know what, to be honest, great bod, but like just
- 6:32Speaker 1: just show up more like sexy part of the shower.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I mean, I don't even know if there's SuDS in this.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Remember how I made fun of him them for showing
- 6:41Speaker 1: like him washing his legs earlier in the season. For that.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I don't wash my legs very often. I mean, I like,
- 6:48Speaker 1: I like put soap where I can reach. I'm not
- 6:50Speaker 1: bending down like scrubbing my calf. So good for those people,
- 6:55Speaker 1: because like I'm one of those people too. I guess
- 6:57Speaker 1: I kind of washed my feet every time. But it's
- 6:59Speaker 1: not like I take like a lot of effort. No,
- 7:01Speaker 1: it's a little a little wipe wipe, yeah, a little
- 7:04Speaker 1: wipe wife. But so good for him for being very clean,
- 7:08Speaker 1: but it is it does him a big injustice. I think.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I don't know when they put that in there, I
- 7:14Speaker 1: can't imagine anybody to watch. It was like, Oh, America's
- 7:17Speaker 1: gonna just be like swooning over how clean his armpit is. Anyways,
- 7:22Speaker 1: we can move on from this. I just had a
- 7:24Speaker 1: lot of opinions on it, mostly in protection to Zach. Okay, okay, okay,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I got it, because you're basically saying, like, come on, guys,
- 7:31Speaker 1: there's very few bachelors Nick Ben that we can like
- 7:35Speaker 1: really think Nick Ben Ben. I'm sorry, sorry, I know
- 7:39Speaker 1: why I threw you in there, and I know I'm sorry.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I need Yeah, I didn't mean it. I was going
- 7:44Speaker 1: to correct you. Oh yeah, I med's Chris. That was
- 7:48Speaker 1: the key up, Like my trifecta of friends. You know,
- 7:50Speaker 1: it's like Chris, Ben and Nick and only two out
- 7:55Speaker 1: of three look good in a shower scene. I get it.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Actually you can, particularly Ben. It would be weird if
- 8:00Speaker 1: I wanted if I like it was watching you in
- 8:01Speaker 1: the shower now, that'd be like real weird. Like back then,
- 8:04Speaker 1: I would have been down. You know. I think I
- 8:06Speaker 1: text you this the other day. Sometimes you post like
- 8:08Speaker 1: videos I'm scrolling through and you're like promoting a bra
- 8:12Speaker 1: and I'm like, yeah, it feels like now I'm I like,
- 8:14Speaker 1: all of a sudden have on my sister, like you know,
- 8:17Speaker 1: in a bra, and it's just like it just is
- 8:20Speaker 1: it's a little weird. He's like, brave of you. Ashley
- 8:23Speaker 1: looks like I couldn't do this. Thank you bad, thank you,
- 8:30Speaker 1: but I'm sorry for the weirdness. Anyway, moving on, It
- 8:35Speaker 1: is Gabby's hometown and she's in Vermont, and I do
- 8:38Speaker 1: like the daytime portion of the date where they're basically, uh,
- 8:41Speaker 1: sampling syrups in windowing a tree. They're doing that too.
- 8:48Speaker 1: There was that too, Oh you explain that first. I mean,
- 8:51Speaker 1: that's that's what I think. They're sampling syrups, which is
- 8:54Speaker 1: great and I think it's a very cute date, but
- 8:55Speaker 1: they're like there's a whole like scene where they're just
- 8:58Speaker 1: sexually in in you in doing a tree like they're
- 9:02Speaker 1: like they're saying it's sticky and well, it's stuck in places.
- 9:09Speaker 1: That's what That's what I got out of it. Maybe
- 9:11Speaker 1: maybe I'm just a weird dude this week, but when
- 9:13Speaker 1: I watched, I was like, I mean, it's funny you know,
- 9:16Speaker 1: once or twice, like her first time when she said
- 9:18Speaker 1: I don't think she meant it. And that's when those
- 9:19Speaker 1: are really funny because they just you know, it's like, yeah,
- 9:23Speaker 1: that's what they said jokes, but then yeah, they just
- 9:26Speaker 1: kept going, which then makes it weird. Like there's a
- 9:28Speaker 1: point where it makes it weird. I totally agree. Um, well,
- 9:32Speaker 1: Zach would be the guy right that picks of all
- 9:35Speaker 1: the syrups, the fake one, the one that's basically like
- 9:38Speaker 1: high frutose corn syrup. Gabby, as a Vermont person resident,
- 9:43Speaker 1: is super offended, should be right, I think I think
- 9:47Speaker 1: probably yeah, um, but that's great and I think they
- 9:51Speaker 1: should have definitely added the part that's in the credits
- 9:56Speaker 1: at the end of the episode in here. So when
- 9:59Speaker 1: Zach was on this podcast, he told me that he
- 10:03Speaker 1: an interesting fact about him was that he liked to
- 10:06Speaker 1: put mustard on pancakes. That was his topping of choice,
- 10:10Speaker 1: not confection or sugar, not chocolate chips or syrup or
- 10:13Speaker 1: bananas or anything like that. He likes mustard, which actually
- 10:18Speaker 1: kind of makes sense to me. It seems like something
- 10:21Speaker 1: you might find it, like a Jewish deli. It's like
- 10:24Speaker 1: a carb, like something like a thick carb with mustard.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It makes sense. It's not absolutely outrageous. Do I think
- 10:30Speaker 1: I would ever pick it over syrup? Absolutely not. But
- 10:35Speaker 1: the weird thing that we find out about is that
- 10:39Speaker 1: Gabby has never had one mustard and two ranch dressing.
- 10:45Speaker 1: So at this point in her life, where I think
- 10:47Speaker 1: she's like, what she's twenty five, twenty six. It seems
- 10:49Speaker 1: like a choice that she's been intentionally making. Yeah, that's
- 10:53Speaker 1: what I thought. She kind of acted like she just
- 10:55Speaker 1: hasn't had it, like it just hasn't happened in her life.
- 10:57Speaker 1: And yeah, right, And my question is you've like you've
- 11:01Speaker 1: had the opportunity, and there has to be a backstory
- 11:05Speaker 1: here that we didn't get. I agree that the credit
- 11:07Speaker 1: should have been in the main show because I think
- 11:10Speaker 1: it makes sense for why this conversation existed in the
- 11:12Speaker 1: first place. She's never had mustard, which I love mustard,
- 11:17Speaker 1: never had reins dressing, like she has a thing against condiments,
- 11:20Speaker 1: is what I'm taking from this. I don't know why.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I would love to learn more, but ranch dressing, like
- 11:27Speaker 1: ranch dressing makes so many things better. Yeah, like, yes,
- 11:32Speaker 1: we love to dip our chicken nuggets and our French
- 11:34Speaker 1: fries and ranch, right, but just to simply not have
- 11:38Speaker 1: at any point in your life like a cobb salad
- 11:40Speaker 1: with ranch weirdness. Yeah, Well, what I want to see
- 11:46Speaker 1: women tell all? Or oh she's not all women tell
- 11:49Speaker 1: all because she's in the top three. What I want
- 11:51Speaker 1: to say in the finale episode, is her have this
- 11:55Speaker 1: for the first time? That's what I want to happen
- 11:57Speaker 1: in the Fantasy Suits, because you imagine if they showed
- 11:59Speaker 1: us more of these bonding moments, these fun these genuinely
- 12:02Speaker 1: fun funny moments about like favorite foods and weird things
- 12:07Speaker 1: you haven't tried or normal things you haven't tried, it
- 12:10Speaker 1: would be such a more interesting show. At times. I'm
- 12:13Speaker 1: gonna sit here at night, I need to think about
- 12:15Speaker 1: who I would be if I've never had mustard or
- 12:17Speaker 1: ranch dressing. But I'd be a different human. I would
- 12:20Speaker 1: probably be a better human. She's probably are you the
- 12:22Speaker 1: person do you like like putting pizza in ranch? Like?
- 12:26Speaker 1: Are you a ranch on everything? Guy? Not on everything?
- 12:28Speaker 1: But there's certain things that I love ranch on, and
- 12:30Speaker 1: there's certain types of ranches that I like, and there's
- 12:32Speaker 1: certain types of ranches I don't like. But ranch dressing
- 12:34Speaker 1: and I get along really well, and we've had a
- 12:37Speaker 1: great relationship over the years. But I mean, I just
- 12:41Speaker 1: wonder it would be a different life from me. Well, actually, yeah,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I definite a college experience, particularly right, I feel like
- 12:48Speaker 1: in college you really put ranch on everything. Yeah, late
- 12:51Speaker 1: night ranch. Yeah, that's a health kept me healthy. The
- 12:57Speaker 1: daytime sweet. I will say after the daytime portion of
- 13:01Speaker 1: this date, she was the first hometown. I thought, unless
- 13:06Speaker 1: a date goes really poorly, she's going home. I thought.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Out of the final four, to me felt like the
- 13:15Speaker 1: connection was fine but not. I mean, it's hard for
- 13:19Speaker 1: me now because I just think Katie is far and
- 13:21Speaker 1: away his favorite, and I think we're seeing signs of that.
- 13:25Speaker 1: That's my opinion. I don't know if it's fact, but
- 13:27Speaker 1: I just comparing Katie to Gabby, it felt like Katie
- 13:31Speaker 1: and Zach's connection was so much better, and it also
- 13:34Speaker 1: just feels like Zach enjoys his time around her more. Now.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I do want to fast forward, though, in highlight Gabby's
- 13:40Speaker 1: evening portion of the date with her family, which is
- 13:43Speaker 1: an incredibly sweet family. They really showed up well and
- 13:48Speaker 1: her dad, her dad needs to be like put on
- 13:51Speaker 1: that on the Mount rushmore of parents who have came
- 13:55Speaker 1: on this show and not in the like Peter's mom
- 13:58Speaker 1: kind of way where they kind of like become a story.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Just like how he handled that momentum. He doesn't get
- 14:06Speaker 1: a lot of time with his daughter alone. I know
- 14:09Speaker 1: how that works, right, He doesn't have like hours to
- 14:11Speaker 1: spend with her, and he's he's not going to get
- 14:12Speaker 1: a lot of time with her after she leaves. But
- 14:15Speaker 1: his little insight and his genuineness and care for her
- 14:19Speaker 1: in that moment, and the wisdom that he like laid
- 14:22Speaker 1: out on her and the confidence he gave her to
- 14:24Speaker 1: continue this journey and was just special to me. It
- 14:30Speaker 1: was really cool. Yeah, he was an adorable man. One
- 14:35Speaker 1: of the most supportive parents we've ever seen. Yeah, a
- 14:38Speaker 1: lot of the times they you feel like you're they're
- 14:40Speaker 1: giving like fake harsh criticism towards the Bachelor. It's like,
- 14:43Speaker 1: you knew what the kid was signing up for when
- 14:45Speaker 1: they signed up for it. You may have already had
- 14:47Speaker 1: this talk. But this is just supportive and so sweet,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and the way that he loves his wife so much,
- 14:54Speaker 1: that's what sticks out to me about the conversation. He
- 14:57Speaker 1: was like, I'll always remember seeing your your beautiful mother
- 15:02Speaker 1: walk into the cafeteria and I knew was her that
- 15:06Speaker 1: I wanted to spend the breast of my life with.
- 15:08Speaker 1: She was just so interesting, it was so adorable. I
- 15:11Speaker 1: love that she definitely has a great set of parents
- 15:15Speaker 1: to look up to for this and as I always
- 15:18Speaker 1: find it to be interesting with the divorce rate being
- 15:21Speaker 1: as it is, even though it's getting better for our generation.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I always find that there are more parents who are
- 15:28Speaker 1: together during Top four week than apart, and in this case,
- 15:32Speaker 1: we had three married sets of parents. It's interesting. I
- 15:35Speaker 1: never thought about that. The final piece here I'd like
- 15:48Speaker 1: to add is, you know, the date goes great, Like
- 15:51Speaker 1: there's nothing that stands out to me from this hometown
- 15:53Speaker 1: other than the support of Gabby's parents and the family,
- 15:56Speaker 1: and how comfortable it felt, and how much her sister
- 16:02Speaker 1: looks like a twin. Yeah, that was true. I couldn't
- 16:04Speaker 1: tell them a difference when they said on the couch
- 16:06Speaker 1: the times, Yeah, what kind of shocked me. I didn't expect.
- 16:09Speaker 1: It was Gabby's emotion as Zach was leaving. It felt
- 16:16Speaker 1: as if, and I will say this, out of the
- 16:19Speaker 1: final four, at this point, she definitely seems to me
- 16:22Speaker 1: like the one that is most dependent on it happening, dependent,
- 16:28Speaker 1: but also like into it, like I think she really
- 16:31Speaker 1: loves Zach. And it felt like she was almost scared
- 16:34Speaker 1: that it was going to end, and she didn't know
- 16:36Speaker 1: what it would do to her if it did. I
- 16:38Speaker 1: didn't see that from her. I didn't expect it from
- 16:41Speaker 1: her until it happened, and then I said, this is
- 16:43Speaker 1: now making more sense on why they're where they're at,
- 16:46Speaker 1: But she really cares about them. Mhmm. You don't agree, No, no,
- 16:54Speaker 1: no, no no, no, I do. I don't think I'm as
- 16:56Speaker 1: as surprised though by that, because I remember I told
- 16:59Speaker 1: you that I thought Gabby was gonna be like top
- 17:01Speaker 1: two a couple of weeks ago. Did this is definitely
- 17:03Speaker 1: the top three that I've expect. Yeah, it's definitely top
- 17:06Speaker 1: three I've expected for a couple of weeks now it is.
- 17:08Speaker 1: But did you expect Gabby to show the emotion she
- 17:12Speaker 1: did now outside of if you thought she was going
- 17:15Speaker 1: to be there at thein or not. Did you expect
- 17:16Speaker 1: this type of emotion where she's saying like I forget
- 17:19Speaker 1: her exact words, but pretty much saying like please don't go,
- 17:22Speaker 1: like I doon't see you again for a week, Like
- 17:24Speaker 1: those are big comments if you're missing somebody at you know,
- 17:27Speaker 1: after a week of them being away, like you really
- 17:31Speaker 1: care about this person. I don't think this is what
- 17:33Speaker 1: it is. Probably just gonna put it out there. Do
- 17:35Speaker 1: you think it's insecurity or love? I think it's love.
- 17:38Speaker 1: I did not get any sense of insecurity out of this. Okay,
- 17:42Speaker 1: all right, well, I don't feel like I have anything
- 17:44Speaker 1: more to say because I feel like she's been there.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I feel like they've both been there together for a while. Okay, well,
- 17:51Speaker 1: then we have aerials date it's in New York City.
- 17:54Speaker 1: To preface. Oh wait, I do want to say what
- 17:56Speaker 1: we're saying. I'm so annoying when I left that that date,
- 18:00Speaker 1: that date though, with his reassurance of her, I was like,
- 18:03Speaker 1: she's definitely sticking around. There was like not a doubt
- 18:06Speaker 1: in my mind that it would be that Gabby would
- 18:07Speaker 1: be safe. Do you agree with me? No, like she
- 18:10Speaker 1: didn't know. For me, it was like, okay, Katie and
- 18:13Speaker 1: Gabby one thousand percent staying at the end of this episode.
- 18:16Speaker 1: And then I said it's between Charity and Ariel. Wasn't sure.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Actually I was calling Ariel to be eliminated at the
- 18:23Speaker 1: end of this more of more for the tension between
- 18:27Speaker 1: two of the brother and I think that more of
- 18:29Speaker 1: like a cultural I don't want to say shock, but
- 18:32Speaker 1: difference that I think that living with her would be
- 18:36Speaker 1: then living with anyone else fair. No, I think you
- 18:41Speaker 1: say things in the moment when somebody is pouring their
- 18:45Speaker 1: heart out to you on the show that you don't
- 18:49Speaker 1: exactly know always what you're saying. You're trying to reassure,
- 18:54Speaker 1: but you're not looking at the consequences. Yeah, right, I
- 18:58Speaker 1: can attest to that that might happen and what he's saying, right,
- 19:03Speaker 1: he might mean what he's saying. I can speak to
- 19:05Speaker 1: this pretty confidently. He might be confident in what he's feeling.
- 19:09Speaker 1: But you might communicate something not thinking of the consequences
- 19:14Speaker 1: that are going to have to happen within days or
- 19:17Speaker 1: weeks or hours. And so no, I don't look into
- 19:21Speaker 1: him saying, hey, this is this is all good, or
- 19:23Speaker 1: you know, we have a we're gonna make this work.
- 19:26Speaker 1: You just say things thinking's gonna happen, and then all
- 19:29Speaker 1: of a sudden, what do you know, You go on
- 19:30Speaker 1: three other hometown dates and they're all incredible, and your
- 19:32Speaker 1: heart explodes and now you're looking at Gabby going I'm sorry,
- 19:35Speaker 1: like you're going home and I know I said this,
- 19:38Speaker 1: but yeah, it's this is weird and I just misspoke,
- 19:42Speaker 1: and that's tough. I'm not giving him an out there.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I just think it could happen. Yeah. I particularly found
- 19:48Speaker 1: this interesting because she said, but I'm the first hometown
- 19:53Speaker 1: who knows what's going to happen from here, and we
- 19:56Speaker 1: never hear them say that. We normally it's like vague
- 20:00Speaker 1: as to how what would the order in which the
- 20:03Speaker 1: dates the hometown dates were were taped. Yeah, and I'm
- 20:06Speaker 1: thinking that because of that moment was so important that
- 20:12Speaker 1: they kept hers as first, so they could keep that
- 20:15Speaker 1: scene in there and like maybe put a little like
- 20:18Speaker 1: doubt into all of our minds. Yeah, it's interesting that
- 20:21Speaker 1: she even knew she was the first hometown. Typically the
- 20:22Speaker 1: contestants don't even know. In the back, I don't even
- 20:24Speaker 1: know really not to share like the well, the never mind,
- 20:30Speaker 1: my theory goes bust. Yeah, what are you gonna do? Um?
- 20:33Speaker 1: All right, so Ariel's hometown date, it's in New York City.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Here's my thing with Ariel, even though I thought Gabby
- 20:39Speaker 1: would be going home this week, because I here's the difference.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I think Ariel in Zach's connection feels almost to me
- 20:47Speaker 1: non existent at this point compared to others. Um, I
- 20:51Speaker 1: just think Zach's into Ariel ah a lot. I think
- 20:55Speaker 1: you might be right, Okay, I think she's so much
- 20:59Speaker 1: different than any one that he's ever dated before, so
- 21:02Speaker 1: he's into that too. She's like elusive and mysterious, so
- 21:06Speaker 1: he's into that, and I think she almost keeps him
- 21:09Speaker 1: chasing after her a little bit. Put that mystery, you
- 21:12Speaker 1: know that mystery. Yeah, so I think he's into it now.
- 21:15Speaker 1: So I'm not surprised that she's still here. I just
- 21:19Speaker 1: have yet to see her fully reciprocate the emotion that
- 21:26Speaker 1: maybe a Gabby was expressing, or even a Charity was expressing,
- 21:32Speaker 1: especially Katie. I mean, I think Katie and zact to
- 21:34Speaker 1: me are like, if this doesn't end up with those
- 21:36Speaker 1: two together, I'm a shocker of the year for me. Yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 1: but I just don't think she's expressing like the She's
- 21:46Speaker 1: not going after him as much as some of the others,
- 21:51Speaker 1: which could just be something he enjoys also. But her
- 21:54Speaker 1: family is tough. Their date in New York City is
- 21:56Speaker 1: a great day in New York City. Is not allowed
- 21:57Speaker 1: to get into there. They have a I love all
- 21:59Speaker 1: the food. All the food tasting is fantastic. It's very nice.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Her family is tough, and I could relate with this.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Jessica's family is Italian Oh, okay, I thought you were
- 22:10Speaker 1: going to say it reminded you of JoJo's brother, because
- 22:13Speaker 1: I don't know that I was seen a brother that tough.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Since JoJo's brother, there's a couple of memorable brothers. Let's see,
- 22:19Speaker 1: Desiree also had a really memorable brother who couldn't stand
- 22:23Speaker 1: the bachelor and all that. Yeah, I mean, I think
- 22:26Speaker 1: I could really with JoJo's brothers there too, and I
- 22:28Speaker 1: saw a lot of that in there. And I definitely
- 22:30Speaker 1: could relate with Zach seeing in a moment where you
- 22:32Speaker 1: can't really answer any questions fully because you would have
- 22:36Speaker 1: to give so much away yet you're being put on
- 22:39Speaker 1: the spot. But Jessica's family is very protective and so
- 22:44Speaker 1: that they're one hundred percent Italian and they you know,
- 22:47Speaker 1: if you know Italians, they love their family a lot,
- 22:49Speaker 1: they care for their family a lot, and so entering
- 22:52Speaker 1: into that family for the first time, there was almost
- 22:56Speaker 1: like a barrage of like questions that I was asked
- 22:59Speaker 1: and had to answer and had to not to commit
- 23:04Speaker 1: to anything but definitely have to hold my own and
- 23:08Speaker 1: I felt like that there. Now, that's probably where I
- 23:10Speaker 1: went to because that's the most important and last relationship
- 23:14Speaker 1: in my life now. Joejoe's brothers, they were tough. They
- 23:19Speaker 1: were tough, and they were asking me, not similar questions
- 23:22Speaker 1: to what Ariel's brother asked, but they were asking me
- 23:25Speaker 1: questions about my intentions. They're asking me questions about where
- 23:28Speaker 1: this is going to go and who's left, and they
- 23:31Speaker 1: were asking me why I thought any of this could work.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Now I feel like the jokes on them a little
- 23:36Speaker 1: bit now because their sister went off to do the
- 23:38Speaker 1: show herself and find love and get married. So all
- 23:41Speaker 1: those questions are answered and they seem fine with it then,
- 23:44Speaker 1: which yeah is you know, it's cool. But I feel
- 23:49Speaker 1: for Zachie. I get a protective older brother. I don't
- 23:52Speaker 1: think he did anything wrong. I think this would be
- 23:54Speaker 1: a weird thing for an older brother to be sitting in. However,
- 23:58Speaker 1: asking them the questions that he he asked Zach, it
- 24:00Speaker 1: felt like he was trying to set Zach up for failure. Now, yeah,
- 24:04Speaker 1: I will say this, and Ashley that I will. I
- 24:07Speaker 1: want to hear your opinion on this. I think you
- 24:09Speaker 1: can fall in love without knowing somebody's middle name and birthday.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I think it's very easy to fall in love with
- 24:16Speaker 1: who the person is, and who they are to you,
- 24:19Speaker 1: and who you are to them, and what experiences you
- 24:21Speaker 1: share together, how much you enjoy them. I think I
- 24:25Speaker 1: fell in love with Jessica before I knew her middle
- 24:27Speaker 1: name and her birthday. I think I fell in love
- 24:29Speaker 1: with Jessica on the first time we had our first
- 24:32Speaker 1: date and I cross the table and I said, oh,
- 24:34Speaker 1: this could be something. And that's the first time I
- 24:38Speaker 1: saw in person. So I didn't know those things about her. Didoh.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I don't think that knowing what his birthday is going
- 24:45Speaker 1: to I get what he's trying to get at. He's
- 24:48Speaker 1: trying to say, like, you need to know their little
- 24:50Speaker 1: details in order to know, like if you love them.
- 24:53Speaker 1: But that was a bad example because like that detail
- 24:56Speaker 1: really means nothing. I probably asked Jared what his birthday
- 24:59Speaker 1: was pretty pretty close up so that I could be, like,
- 25:03Speaker 1: what's your zodiac? So I knew this so I could
- 25:05Speaker 1: see if it's compatible with mine, like I could see that.
- 25:08Speaker 1: But yeah, you can fall in love with people without
- 25:10Speaker 1: knowing those little facts about them. So I think it
- 25:13Speaker 1: was a bad example. But I also think I know
- 25:15Speaker 1: what he was getting at. I do think he was
- 25:17Speaker 1: straight up rude when he said to Zach. He said
- 25:22Speaker 1: to Zach, he goes, so, I know why you want
- 25:24Speaker 1: to be with my sister, but why should my sister
- 25:26Speaker 1: want to be with you? Like what are you bringing
- 25:28Speaker 1: to the table? And Zach hesitated, he didn't know how
- 25:31Speaker 1: to describe, you know, his best qualities, which I think
- 25:35Speaker 1: a lot of people are kind of like, oh man,
- 25:37Speaker 1: it's like like a humbling thing, you know, like you
- 25:39Speaker 1: don't normally self describe, right, how we hate self describing.
- 25:43Speaker 1: We don't want to like talk about our best qualities
- 25:45Speaker 1: because it seems in our hearts like bragging. However, it's
- 25:50Speaker 1: an important question for the brother to ask, but it
- 25:52Speaker 1: was so rude when he said, good answer, when he
- 25:58Speaker 1: was hesitating a good answer. I think he was trying
- 26:01Speaker 1: to be very tough. Yeah, he was just like putting
- 26:04Speaker 1: on like a it was. Do you think the producers
- 26:07Speaker 1: are like, yo, you your tough brother, lean into it. Yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I think he was definitely fired up for this moment
- 26:14Speaker 1: and feel he went into it like knowing his role.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I'm with you, he asked Zach. That question. It's not
- 26:23Speaker 1: a bad question. I'm not mad at that question. That's
- 26:25Speaker 1: a good question. Why should my sister want to be
- 26:27Speaker 1: with you. That's a fair question. I don't think Zach
- 26:31Speaker 1: answered it well, but I also think it's it is.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It's a very hard question to answer. I don't know
- 26:35Speaker 1: how i'd answer it myself, because, yes, you either feel
- 26:37Speaker 1: like you're bragging, or you feel like you're underselling yourself,
- 26:40Speaker 1: or possibly you feel like you're saying things just to
- 26:43Speaker 1: say them, which is an authentic There's really no good
- 26:46Speaker 1: way to respond to that, you know, other than just
- 26:49Speaker 1: sitting there for a moment being like it's a great question.
- 26:53Speaker 1: So I get Zach's position. I don't think yeah, but
- 26:56Speaker 1: I do think Zach could have sold himself a little harder,
- 26:58Speaker 1: Like all right, he's like I have a good heart
- 27:01Speaker 1: of a big heart. Like that's like so basic. Yeah,
- 27:05Speaker 1: my biggest my biggest issue is that I have two
- 27:07Speaker 1: big a heart. It drives me crazy. But you know,
- 27:11Speaker 1: he could have sold himself a little harder. I also
- 27:14Speaker 1: would imagine if we took a step back, Zach was
- 27:17Speaker 1: fired up inside, like he knew what this brother was going.
- 27:20Speaker 1: After he knew this brother was like you was like
- 27:23Speaker 1: trying to like diminish him a little bit. And I
- 27:26Speaker 1: bet Zach was holding I mean, we've seen Zach confront
- 27:29Speaker 1: things this year. Yeah, and I think we know that
- 27:33Speaker 1: he doesn't hate confronting difficult situations. And I bet in
- 27:39Speaker 1: his heart he was like, all I want to do
- 27:40Speaker 1: is tell this dude to like back off, and I
- 27:43Speaker 1: can't because that would be really bad. I love that
- 27:47Speaker 1: you brought that up, because I was thinking the exact
- 27:49Speaker 1: same thing. I was like, we know that Zach can
- 27:51Speaker 1: get little sassy, doesn't hold back. He'll talk right back
- 27:57Speaker 1: to you. He'll say things that you were not expecting
- 27:59Speaker 1: to say. You were not expecting to hear from somebody
- 28:02Speaker 1: that you are just kind of acquaintances with. So he
- 28:06Speaker 1: must have been inviting his tongue. I saw that Zach,
- 28:10Speaker 1: that little side of Zach come out a little bit
- 28:12Speaker 1: with the dad. Maybe I'm over analyzing. The dad was
- 28:14Speaker 1: super sweet. I really love that man, but there was
- 28:17Speaker 1: something that he said, and you could tell Zach was
- 28:20Speaker 1: a little bit like, oh, I'm so tired of defending
- 28:22Speaker 1: myself in this show right now. I don't remember exactly
- 28:24Speaker 1: what it was, but no, the rest of her family
- 28:28Speaker 1: I think eased the pressures. Again. I don't know if
- 28:32Speaker 1: there's anybody at fault here. I think there are some
- 28:34Speaker 1: moments where, yes, the brothers seemed to like dig in
- 28:37Speaker 1: a little harder than I would have. But I'm not
- 28:39Speaker 1: a brother, so I don't know. But overall, the family
- 28:43Speaker 1: did wrap Zach up. I think Zach left feeling like, hey,
- 28:47Speaker 1: I'm okay, I can continue this if this goes to
- 28:51Speaker 1: you know, really well, at the end, I could see
- 28:53Speaker 1: myself in this family. It was all fine. He left
- 29:05Speaker 1: there and went to Charity's hometown, which I would argue
- 29:08Speaker 1: was the best hometown. Like, I did not think she
- 29:11Speaker 1: was going home because it felt like one the most
- 29:15Speaker 1: fun the most natural, the most accepting, the most kind.
- 29:20Speaker 1: It was the one that it felt like Zach was,
- 29:22Speaker 1: you know, he was eating and laughing and talking to
- 29:25Speaker 1: the family. I really was surprised that Charity went home
- 29:29Speaker 1: over Gabby. I thought her home Totown date solidified her
- 29:34Speaker 1: at least being there for another week, even though maybe
- 29:36Speaker 1: their connection isn't matching like the Katies of the world,
- 29:41Speaker 1: it felt like this was a natural hometown date. Yeah,
- 29:46Speaker 1: it's so funny that you kept comparing it to Gabby,
- 29:48Speaker 1: and I kept comparing it to Ariel because I was like,
- 29:51Speaker 1: I want to hit like Ariel. I like those girls
- 29:53Speaker 1: vibe a lot, but I don't know that I see
- 29:56Speaker 1: Zach being in New York City being with her family
- 30:00Speaker 1: just didn't seem super easy, but it felt easy for
- 30:04Speaker 1: him being at Charity's family to me, did which you're
- 30:07Speaker 1: you're saying that it was as well. The family seemed
- 30:11Speaker 1: really nice. The brother was like a little probably tough love,
- 30:14Speaker 1: but like not a lot fine. It was like the
- 30:17Speaker 1: daytime brings a certain lightness to it. I have to say,
- 30:21Speaker 1: I feel like every time we do something a little
- 30:22Speaker 1: bit during the daytime, like a picnic style, it feels
- 30:24Speaker 1: a little bit lighter. Then Charity takes him to go
- 30:28Speaker 1: square dancing. Great love that um, and you can tell
- 30:31Speaker 1: she's a little buzz At the end of the night
- 30:34Speaker 1: where they're making it out, She's closing her eyes in
- 30:36Speaker 1: the middle of a kiss. She's like just letting you know,
- 30:39Speaker 1: I'm falling in love with you. She like she was
- 30:41Speaker 1: definitely a little tips right, a little tipsy. Yeah, you
- 30:46Speaker 1: gotta love it. I'm sorry Charity if I'm wrong, but
- 30:50Speaker 1: I feel you girl, Yeah, I would be. Um. Uh,
- 30:56Speaker 1: I thought it was a great date. I did think
- 30:57Speaker 1: that the daytime did bring about a different feel to it. Um.
- 31:04Speaker 1: I think the only reason why. You know, so we're
- 31:09Speaker 1: saying pretty much now at this point, Charity, Gabby, and
- 31:12Speaker 1: Ariel are all, according to this podcast, up for elimination
- 31:15Speaker 1: this week. Yeah. Um, which I think points to you know,
- 31:19Speaker 1: where we think this is going. But Charity, I don't
- 31:23Speaker 1: think Charity or any of these other women for that matter, No,
- 31:26Speaker 1: the connections that Zach has with any of the other girls. Now,
- 31:30Speaker 1: they've been kind of separated for a while, you know,
- 31:34Speaker 1: they've they've lived on in a hotel probably that none
- 31:37Speaker 1: of the other women are there, and uh, and they
- 31:40Speaker 1: have a producer there kind of reinforcing them and reassuring
- 31:43Speaker 1: them that this relationship is good. And so they their
- 31:46Speaker 1: their emotions are getting higher, their feelings are getting more.
- 31:49Speaker 1: They've been away from him for a bit. You know,
- 31:52Speaker 1: it's interesting to me that Charity went home over Gabby. Yes,
- 31:57Speaker 1: but in the grand scheme of things, it shocking that
- 32:00Speaker 1: Charity went home at all. No, because the next date
- 32:03Speaker 1: with Katie, I think points to me where the standard is,
- 32:09Speaker 1: Like the standard for this season is the connection that
- 32:13Speaker 1: Zach and Katie have, or the interest that Zach has
- 32:16Speaker 1: and Katie for as critical and as like tough as
- 32:19Speaker 1: he's been in some conversations with others, he's never been
- 32:22Speaker 1: that way with Katie now. He's always gentle with her.
- 32:24Speaker 1: This date, to me, set up like a traditional bachelor
- 32:27Speaker 1: date where it points us to what could be at
- 32:30Speaker 1: the end, because it isn't fancy. It's them setting up
- 32:32Speaker 1: stuff in their home, and those are always the dates
- 32:34Speaker 1: to me, like the less fancy, the less glamorous of
- 32:40Speaker 1: a date, the more like reality of the date. It's
- 32:43Speaker 1: it points to me it's the shows trying to make
- 32:45Speaker 1: us fall in love with this couple in the real world,
- 32:48Speaker 1: like giving us some examples of what they would look like.
- 32:51Speaker 1: And I think that's what this date was. It was
- 32:53Speaker 1: a real world date that was cute in a way,
- 33:00Speaker 1: It was fun in a way, but it pointed to
- 33:03Speaker 1: me like the show knows where this is going at
- 33:04Speaker 1: this point exactly. How convenient that these two live in
- 33:08Speaker 1: the same city, and how perfect that she just moved
- 33:12Speaker 1: there and they could do getting to know the city
- 33:15Speaker 1: things together. They go the grocery store, he puts together
- 33:19Speaker 1: a shelf for her, very normal. I like it interesting then,
- 33:25Speaker 1: like the family lives there, Like really, how perfect is that?
- 33:29Speaker 1: Does her family actually live in Austin else I don't know.
- 33:32Speaker 1: We didn't get clarification. It seems to be an assumption
- 33:34Speaker 1: though where are they going? Then, well they go to
- 33:39Speaker 1: the house. Do you think that they didn't clarify it
- 33:41Speaker 1: because the parents don't actually live there. The family doesn't
- 33:43Speaker 1: actually live there, So then they putting them up in
- 33:46Speaker 1: a house you think to make it look like it
- 33:48Speaker 1: just is too perfect? Yeah, I think I don't think.
- 33:51Speaker 1: And only they live in Austin. I bet if we
- 33:53Speaker 1: watched this season back we could actually find out where
- 33:56Speaker 1: her family's at it. But she's said it to him before. Yeah,
- 33:59Speaker 1: because if they did live there, they'd say something like
- 34:03Speaker 1: and then my parents, I mean, my families are there's
- 34:05Speaker 1: no just lives right down the street. But yeah, no,
- 34:11Speaker 1: for as you know, for as up and down as
- 34:12Speaker 1: the season's been to us here on the podcast, right
- 34:15Speaker 1: now isn't an upstage to me. This is what you know,
- 34:17Speaker 1: also one of my favorite parts of the show when
- 34:19Speaker 1: stories getting hands. But you know, we've been critical at
- 34:23Speaker 1: times like we are every season. We've been celebratory at
- 34:25Speaker 1: times like we are every season. Right now, it feels
- 34:28Speaker 1: like this isn't a good rhythm for the show, and
- 34:31Speaker 1: then I'm enjoying each episode and watching them. I really
- 34:35Speaker 1: like Katie and I'm really glad that she is here
- 34:39Speaker 1: at the end, at least in the final three. You
- 34:42Speaker 1: was Zach, I didn't you know after their first one
- 34:45Speaker 1: on one date at the museum or whatever, we weren't
- 34:47Speaker 1: blown away. Weren't blown away understanding more about her, her strength,
- 34:53Speaker 1: her story, her care for Zach, understanding her family dynamic.
- 35:00Speaker 1: It makes me go, I just I think this is good,
- 35:03Speaker 1: and I'm glad she's there because I think she will
- 35:08Speaker 1: she's there for the right reasons. I think, you know,
- 35:10Speaker 1: that's a big deal to us. I think it's pretty obvious.
- 35:15Speaker 1: And so she's making this season, you know, outside of
- 35:18Speaker 1: the lead of Zach, She's making this season, you know,
- 35:20Speaker 1: an exciting one because I could see this couple working
- 35:23Speaker 1: into the real world, and I think they're transition into
- 35:28Speaker 1: the real world will be relatively easier than most, being
- 35:32Speaker 1: that they live in the same city, being that according
- 35:35Speaker 1: to both of them, and seeming like what we've seen, Um,
- 35:39Speaker 1: they're both there for the right reasons. They're not going
- 35:40Speaker 1: to like going to be that couple that moves to
- 35:42Speaker 1: ally like They're just gonna like do their life in Texas,
- 35:45Speaker 1: do their thing. Yeah, well, this is a couple I
- 35:48Speaker 1: could see work. And credit to Katie's mom for being
- 35:53Speaker 1: the person that she is to Katie and her family.
- 35:55Speaker 1: She seems she's like a nice lady. And I like
- 35:57Speaker 1: the aunt too. Yeah. Yeah, I like the way at
- 35:59Speaker 1: the family. Yeah, they really do seem very close. Yeah,
- 36:03Speaker 1: and I get why so great hometown there. We leave
- 36:07Speaker 1: hometowns then and we get to see Shan Low again, Ashley,
- 36:12Speaker 1: question for you, and again, I love that Sean's on here.
- 36:16Speaker 1: I told I said this on the podcast. If they
- 36:18Speaker 1: called me and said, Ben, You're gonna be the mentor
- 36:20Speaker 1: for the season, I would say, thank you, I'll do it,
- 36:22Speaker 1: and I would love it. Call me, show it to
- 36:24Speaker 1: my house, whatever you need. I'm there. Um, do you
- 36:27Speaker 1: think it's the last time we see Sean this season? Now?
- 36:30Speaker 1: He's gonna be there on this like a freaking finale
- 36:32Speaker 1: or something. He's gonna be the one at the end
- 36:34Speaker 1: like welcoming them into the move over Jesse, you know,
- 36:41Speaker 1: I feel like Sean should hand out the final rose,
- 36:44Speaker 1: put it on the podium. Yeah, we don't get Sean's
- 36:47Speaker 1: a wise man, right he is. We don't get a
- 36:50Speaker 1: lot from him in these conversations. There's not one of
- 36:52Speaker 1: these conversations so obvious. He's just like, well, I can't
- 36:56Speaker 1: really help you much, but I love Catherine. That's basically
- 37:00Speaker 1: every conversation. And it's very evident at this point that
- 37:04Speaker 1: they had Sean do this because they really want to
- 37:08Speaker 1: put in our heads that Zach is the next Sean.
- 37:12Speaker 1: He is the mister Wright reasons, and this guy that
- 37:17Speaker 1: we've chosen to be the bachelor is going to end
- 37:20Speaker 1: up like Sean. He's going to be the only other
- 37:22Speaker 1: bachelor who ends up with his final girl forever. I mean,
- 37:26Speaker 1: I think if Zach had it his way, he would
- 37:28Speaker 1: be that. I think most bachelors would have dreamed for
- 37:31Speaker 1: the most bachelors would like that. Just doesn't happen um
- 37:35Speaker 1: all the time. That's fine too, life works out. But yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 1: I like Sean. Shan's a wise man. He's funny. I
- 37:42Speaker 1: just feel funny, isn't he funny? Every There has not
- 37:45Speaker 1: been one conversation he's had with Zach where I'm like,
- 37:48Speaker 1: Sean that that was good, Like your help is like
- 37:51Speaker 1: it was. It's just very obvious, like statements and then
- 37:54Speaker 1: he's gone. Thinks like two minutes, we're out of there,
- 37:56Speaker 1: you know. But Sean's so funny because like you can
- 38:00Speaker 1: tell that he knows it's all kind of silly, like
- 38:03Speaker 1: he doesn't take the situation too seriously. He's kind of
- 38:06Speaker 1: like a look at me, I got really lucky. Can
- 38:09Speaker 1: you believe I'm still with the girl that I met
- 38:11Speaker 1: on The Bachelor? Yeah? Yeah, I mean look at his Twitter.
- 38:16Speaker 1: He used to say that, So we know how Sean feels. Well.
- 38:21Speaker 1: The Rose cremony goes down. As we mentioned, Charity does
- 38:24Speaker 1: go home a little bit of a tense exit. I
- 38:30Speaker 1: don't know from your perspective, actually is as Zach is
- 38:34Speaker 1: trying to explain himself, it does feel like most of
- 38:36Speaker 1: the times when you over explain yourself, you put your
- 38:39Speaker 1: foot in your mouth, you end up saying something that's hurtful.
- 38:42Speaker 1: You're saying something that the person that just got broken
- 38:44Speaker 1: up with usually feels is disingenuous and it's not authentic
- 38:48Speaker 1: to who you are and really the situation. So Charity
- 38:51Speaker 1: just kind of stops him and says, no, don't say it. Stop, stop, stop,
- 38:56Speaker 1: stop stop, I'm going home. This hurts by um. Yeah,
- 39:02Speaker 1: but she I agree, but also she was like nice
- 39:05Speaker 1: about it. Yeah, I'm just no, it's just like it's okay,
- 39:10Speaker 1: I don't need to hear your pleasant trees. It's okay.
- 39:12Speaker 1: I don't hear a pleasant trees. I understand. Yeah, yeah,
- 39:15Speaker 1: I mean saying to somebody, Um, I mean, you know,
- 39:20Speaker 1: it is a little bit of a harsh reality when
- 39:24Speaker 1: he says I just can't give you love you deserve.
- 39:25Speaker 1: What does that mean? You know? She asked the same question,
- 39:29Speaker 1: what does that mean the love I deserve? Um, I
- 39:33Speaker 1: think it's a good question to ask yourself. I don't
- 39:34Speaker 1: know what that. I never like the deserve thing. You know, everybody,
- 39:38Speaker 1: even when they tell it to me, like you deserve it.
- 39:40Speaker 1: It's like, I really find it hard to think that
- 39:43Speaker 1: there are people out there that don't deserve love. Yeah,
- 39:46Speaker 1: I agree, I just haven't had that happened to the
- 39:48Speaker 1: other day. I'm going on vacation, I'm going to take
- 39:51Speaker 1: a few days off, and somebody goes, you deserve it,
- 39:53Speaker 1: and I was like, yeah, I don't know if I
- 39:55Speaker 1: deserve it. Like I just feel like I said, I'm
- 39:57Speaker 1: gonna go do it, and like that, you know, I
- 39:59Speaker 1: hate that. I don't know I don't feel sometimes I
- 40:02Speaker 1: feel like deserving of everything, but also not deserving at all.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Like when people say that, it makes me be like, uh,
- 40:09Speaker 1: you're making me feel like I should be working harder. Yeah, yeah,
- 40:12Speaker 1: I agree. Well, I don't know. Bachelor headlines is next,
- 40:16Speaker 1: Charity is going home, so it leaves us with Gabby, Katie,
- 40:21Speaker 1: and Aeriel left Ashley in order from who you think
- 40:27Speaker 1: will be with Zach to who you think will be
- 40:29Speaker 1: going home after Fantasy Suites. It's very complicated now, Ben,
- 40:33Speaker 1: very complicated because I'm really torn between one. Gabby and
- 40:36Speaker 1: Aeriel will leave, but but in my head they're both leaving,
- 40:41Speaker 1: so it will be with Katie. He will end up
- 40:43Speaker 1: with Kate. He will end up being with Katie. This
- 40:47Speaker 1: is just in my head. I don't know spoilers, but
- 40:49Speaker 1: and I really don't know spoilers anymore. It's great. It
- 40:52Speaker 1: helps because we are so far removed from the Baby
- 40:55Speaker 1: Boom show. I have no clue what's gonna happen. I
- 40:58Speaker 1: mean I think I do, but you think, well, we
- 41:01Speaker 1: have a good guess. Let's talk about the scenes for
- 41:04Speaker 1: the next episode, though, because they're juicy. He makes this
- 41:06Speaker 1: pact with himself basically that he's not gonna have sex
- 41:09Speaker 1: in any of the fantasy suites, which I think is
- 41:12Speaker 1: a very good idea because it keeps everybody on an
- 41:15Speaker 1: even playing field. It prevents situations like we saw with Clayton,
- 41:20Speaker 1: it prevents situations like we saw with who else? When
- 41:25Speaker 1: else has it gotten sloppy? I don't know. He's like
- 41:28Speaker 1: basically every time. Yeah, probably every time it gets weird. Um, yeah,
- 41:32Speaker 1: you know, you end up with somebody at the end
- 41:35Speaker 1: of this. It's nice to say I wasn't with anyone
- 41:38Speaker 1: else in those fantasy suites. You know, I guarantee. It
- 41:41Speaker 1: makes things easier. Thing makes things easier. Okay, so that's
- 41:44Speaker 1: what he's going to decide. I think it's great, But
- 41:48Speaker 1: it seems like he doesn't stick to that because he
- 41:50Speaker 1: says the words, I have been intimate with somebody. Here's
- 41:55Speaker 1: my theory. You want to hear my theory? Right? That's
- 41:57Speaker 1: great for us to watch, awful, awful emotionally for everybody
- 42:01Speaker 1: else involved. I know, do you want to hear my theory? Yes?
- 42:05Speaker 1: Place Do you think that they're all like voiceover is
- 42:07Speaker 1: from previous things? No, I think it's a real thing.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I think it's a real thing. If I remember right
- 42:14Speaker 1: from watching it, I see him directly telling Gabby. I
- 42:17Speaker 1: think that he is choosing to not have sex during
- 42:21Speaker 1: the fantasy suites, and I bet you she goes first. Yeah,
- 42:24Speaker 1: So I don't think he has sex with Gabby. At
- 42:29Speaker 1: some point between Arie and Katie, they are intimate. I
- 42:32Speaker 1: don't know with who, and I don't want to assume
- 42:34Speaker 1: with who. That's not my place. But I did remember
- 42:36Speaker 1: him saying it to Gabby, So I think, shit, Ben,
- 42:38Speaker 1: I wanted to assume, but now I'll be a gross person. Yeah,
- 42:42Speaker 1: And so it happens. It happens, and he has to
- 42:48Speaker 1: communicate it to Katie or Ariel, and I think it
- 42:54Speaker 1: blows everything up, and I think he is with somebody
- 42:57Speaker 1: at the end. I believe. I believe it's not going
- 42:59Speaker 1: to be pretty finished, and I believe there's gonna have
- 43:01Speaker 1: to be some healing and work being done because I
- 43:03Speaker 1: think whoever he was intimate with, not the girl he chooses,
- 43:10Speaker 1: not the girl he chooses a great TV ahead of us. Yeah,
- 43:17Speaker 1: that's my theory, is correct. Yeah, that's my theory. I
- 43:20Speaker 1: have no clue it's going to play out or not.
- 43:32Speaker 1: All right. Bachelor Headlines we'll jump into this, please, okay.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Bachelorette alum Ivan Hall is engaged to girlfriend Taylor. It
- 43:39Speaker 1: felt like we're destined to be together. This according to
- 43:42Speaker 1: US Weekly. Yes, US Weekly broke the news exclusively where
- 43:47Speaker 1: he didn't interview. He said, I can truly feel that
- 43:50Speaker 1: being engaged feels amazing. He's thirty one, by the way.
- 43:54Speaker 1: It's a mixture of excitement, joy in anticipation for what
- 43:58Speaker 1: the future holds. If you guys remember, Ivan played a
- 44:04Speaker 1: big role on Tatious season came in fourth, and now
- 44:07Speaker 1: he is engaged to an anaesthesiologist. So good for him.
- 44:11Speaker 1: My dad's an Anesthesiologist's a great person to have in
- 44:15Speaker 1: the family, and they're great people. Their stereotype is the
- 44:19Speaker 1: nerd doctor. Well, we'll see if it plays out well.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Zach shall Cross teases no sex in the fantasy suite
- 44:27Speaker 1: rule bites him in the ass. All right, So we're
- 44:33Speaker 1: gonna revisit this conversation again. This is an article that
- 44:38Speaker 1: was written basically based on what they saw. But let's
- 44:41Speaker 1: get some quotes going on here, all right. From what
- 44:46Speaker 1: I can say, a lot of things do change going
- 44:51Speaker 1: into that week. I thought I could basically this is okay,
- 44:54Speaker 1: quotes from Zach. Obviously, I'm so sorry you didn't say that.
- 44:57Speaker 1: I thought I could basically set up like a guideline
- 45:02Speaker 1: for myself, a guideline for others to try to hold too,
- 45:06Speaker 1: to make it less messy, and it bid us in
- 45:09Speaker 1: the ass. Oh and then Jesse Palmer was surprised by
- 45:17Speaker 1: Zach's decision and teased also in an interview that it
- 45:21Speaker 1: may not be realistic if he wants to find the
- 45:24Speaker 1: one Ben. I'm sure you can. You have things to
- 45:27Speaker 1: say about that. When Zach told me he was going
- 45:31Speaker 1: to do this no sex or any women thing, I
- 45:34Speaker 1: was sort of like, you're going to be able to
- 45:37Speaker 1: do this. You're going to be tempted. You know, the
- 45:39Speaker 1: fantasy suites are there for a reason, and sexual compatibility
- 45:44Speaker 1: is a really big thing, especially if you're going to
- 45:46Speaker 1: get down on one knee and ask someone to marry you. Also,
- 45:50Speaker 1: what if the women, what if the women want to
- 45:54Speaker 1: have sex with you? You're kind of taking that option
- 45:57Speaker 1: off the table. That was something that was probably the
- 46:00Speaker 1: most shocking moment because, in all honesty, part of me,
- 46:04Speaker 1: part of me, kind of knew how it was going
- 46:07Speaker 1: to end. I guess Jesse knew that the plan wasn't
- 46:10Speaker 1: going to go as swimmingly as Zach may have hoped.
- 46:13Speaker 1: So Ben, what do you think when I'm sorry? This
- 46:16Speaker 1: is a little bit of a personal question, but it's
- 46:18Speaker 1: been raised a bit, especially when fantasy suits roll around.
- 46:22Speaker 1: A lot of people argue that people shouldn't have sex
- 46:25Speaker 1: in those fantasy suits, because if you're going to get engaged,
- 46:27Speaker 1: you should know your sexual compatibility. What do you think.
- 46:31Speaker 1: I think it's up to the individual people, right, I mean,
- 46:33Speaker 1: that's every I mean, it's not my story. With Jessica,
- 46:36Speaker 1: that's fair, right, We I believe have a very healthy
- 46:39Speaker 1: and happy marriage and we're doing just fine. And I
- 46:42Speaker 1: love her a lot. And I think if you asked her,
- 46:44Speaker 1: she'd say she loves me most of the time. We'll
- 46:46Speaker 1: know she loves me all the times every now and again.
- 46:49Speaker 1: I you know, I do think it's up to each couple.
- 46:51Speaker 1: I kind of wish Jesse as the host here. I
- 46:55Speaker 1: don't know if this is the words he shared with Zach.
- 46:58Speaker 1: If Zach had communicated the choice to Jesse, I kind
- 47:01Speaker 1: of wish Jesse would have just said, I support you
- 47:03Speaker 1: in this. That's smart, and here's why it's smart. And
- 47:05Speaker 1: there is a wisdom to what Zach was trying to do.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Now I don't know if he successfully accomplished his mission,
- 47:11Speaker 1: but there's a wisdom in that because ultimately, and he
- 47:15Speaker 1: is going to get engaged to somebody, and you are
- 47:17Speaker 1: going to be tempted. Jesse's not wrong. These people are beautiful,
- 47:20Speaker 1: and you've gone without any type of intimacy for three months.
- 47:25Speaker 1: So when I'm talking any type of intimacy, I'm talking
- 47:28Speaker 1: there's a handler pretty much standing outside your bathroom door
- 47:31Speaker 1: as you're sharing. Yeah, you have no privacy, so you're
- 47:36Speaker 1: all fueled up. They're right, and so I get you.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Know what Jesse's saying is, this is going to be
- 47:42Speaker 1: a weird, hard moment for you. But I wish you
- 47:44Speaker 1: would have also added, but Zach, this is smart because ultimately,
- 47:48Speaker 1: in two weeks, I believe you're going to be engaged
- 47:50Speaker 1: to somebody that you really love, and that conversation is
- 47:53Speaker 1: going to be really hard to tell her that night,
- 47:55Speaker 1: you know, when she asks you maybe about fantasy suites,
- 47:58Speaker 1: what happened during that time time? And so I respect it,
- 48:02Speaker 1: I want to support you in it. How do we
- 48:04Speaker 1: help you get there and get through this week? Without
- 48:07Speaker 1: doing what you don't want to do. Yeah, So I
- 48:11Speaker 1: think it's up to every individual person. I know there's
- 48:13Speaker 1: people who have been leads on this show who have
- 48:15Speaker 1: had sex with nobody in the fantasy suites. I know
- 48:17Speaker 1: there are leads on this show who have had sex
- 48:19Speaker 1: with everybody in the fantasy suites. And I know leads
- 48:23Speaker 1: of the show where it's gone both ways and the
- 48:25Speaker 1: relationships worked afterwards. Maybe not forever, but it's worked for
- 48:29Speaker 1: a period of time. So it is up to each
- 48:31Speaker 1: individual person. That's just what I wish. I wish there
- 48:34Speaker 1: would have been a little more like, hey, you can
- 48:36Speaker 1: do a buddy. I get it. You're not doing it
- 48:37Speaker 1: because you don't want to, and you're trying to take
- 48:39Speaker 1: some like weird stance. You know that we've had people
- 48:42Speaker 1: take on this show. You're doing it because you believe
- 48:44Speaker 1: that wisdom comes from making maybe the more prudent choice
- 48:48Speaker 1: here for a bit. Well, Bachelorette Rachel says she's doing
- 48:53Speaker 1: well after undergoing breast reduction surgery. Yes, so it was
- 48:58Speaker 1: right abound her birthday. She had a breath instroduction. She said,
- 49:01Speaker 1: I am doing well, Thank you so much. She's replying
- 49:04Speaker 1: to fans on Instagram, she said that she's doing better
- 49:08Speaker 1: than she thought she would, and she posted the video
- 49:11Speaker 1: to TikTok. She showed her hair getting braided by her
- 49:14Speaker 1: roommate Jen Genevieve and she was preparing to have the
- 49:18Speaker 1: surgery the next day. The music was signed, sealed and delivered.
- 49:21Speaker 1: She goes the night before getting my hair braided by
- 49:23Speaker 1: Jen and I don't have so that I don't have
- 49:26Speaker 1: a rat's nast. Basically, tomorrow morning, it's my last day
- 49:30Speaker 1: with boobs. I want to see a nipple. She's a
- 49:33Speaker 1: joking and then she was off to surgery. She kind
- 49:36Speaker 1: of showed the situation a little bit in the mirror.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Black sweatpants matching black hoodie. You know, she has having
- 49:44Speaker 1: a good recovery from it. So good for her. I'm
- 49:47Speaker 1: glad that she's doing what's to make her feel best
- 49:50Speaker 1: in her body. Yeah, I'm glad she's healing well well.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Final headline. Serene Russell and Brandon Jones share stunning engagement
- 49:57Speaker 1: photos and Bachelor Nation reacts. Oh yeah, Bachelor Nation is
- 50:03Speaker 1: loving these pictures, showing off Serenes Neil Lane ring lots
- 50:08Speaker 1: of kisses in this photo shoot and Danielle Maltby writes,
- 50:13Speaker 1: underneath it, Oh my god, y'all these are breathtaking. Genevieve
- 50:17Speaker 1: says cutis you melt my heart, and Jill Chen says
- 50:21Speaker 1: most beautiful couple inside and out. The two of them
- 50:24Speaker 1: are currently living in San Diego together after getting engaged
- 50:29Speaker 1: about eight months ago. Well, that's all the headlines we
- 50:32Speaker 1: have for you today, and tomorrow we'll be back with
- 50:35Speaker 1: another episode recapping Women Tell All and we will have Jess,
- 50:39Speaker 1: you know Jess who is eliminated a couple of weeks
- 50:41Speaker 1: ago because because she didn't have a one on one
- 50:45Speaker 1: in that whole argument. We're gonna be getting all the
- 50:47Speaker 1: scoop from her about Women Tell All and about how
- 50:51Speaker 1: all that went down in real life, that that break
- 50:54Speaker 1: up with her and Zach. So stay tuned for that tomorrow.
- 50:57Speaker 1: With that I've Been Been, I've Been Ashley Bye, guys.
