- 0:52Speaker 1: and you are probably wondering, Hey, what is the tailgate? Well,
- 0:57Speaker 1: each and every single week this season, I Am going
- 0:59Speaker 1: to preview of Vikings upcoming opponent by bringing on a
- 1:03Speaker 1: die hard fan of that team. But those fans are
- 1:07Speaker 1: going to be friends of mine and some of the
- 1:09Speaker 1: best stand up comedians in the country. It's part game preview,
- 1:14Speaker 1: part trash talk, part crazy story time And what better
- 1:18Speaker 1: way to kick off a show like this than Packer
- 1:21Speaker 1: Week three, twenty five Sunday, The New Look Vikings take
- 1:25Speaker 1: on the same look Packers in US Bank Stadium and
- 1:29Speaker 1: joining me to walk through what feels like an incredibly
- 1:34Speaker 1: important Week one matchup. You've seen him on Comedy Central,
- 1:37Speaker 1: NBC's Last Comic Standing. He lived out most comedians dream
- 1:42Speaker 1: by getting to perform on The Late Show with David Letterman,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and he's got a brand new dry bar special. One
- 1:48Speaker 1: of my oldest friends and lifelong Packer fan, mister Tim Harmston, Hey,
- 1:54Speaker 1: thanks for having me sigh. First of all, let me
- 1:57Speaker 1: just say we're both super nervous about this weekend, right
- 2:00Speaker 1: I can, yes, Okay, So I think this would be
- 2:02Speaker 1: a great time for us to finally decide who has
- 2:05Speaker 1: the worst fan base, the Vikings or the Packers. That
- 2:09Speaker 1: you want to you just want to come in with
- 2:11Speaker 1: a rifle, the most insufferable fans, and I you you
- 2:16Speaker 1: pose that to me in our question in your little questionnaire,
- 2:20Speaker 1: and I finally thought about, like I stayed up all
- 2:22Speaker 1: night long thinking about who has the worst fans the
- 2:26Speaker 1: Vikings fans. Okay, well wait till you hear what I
- 2:30Speaker 1: have to say, the worst fans between the Viking and
- 2:33Speaker 1: the Packers or the Packer fans. And it hurts me
- 2:36Speaker 1: to say that. Oh, I know, you thought I would
- 2:39Speaker 1: say it was the Viking fans, but it's because the
- 2:42Speaker 1: Packer fans. They don't write new material. You know they
- 2:49Speaker 1: we're both stand up comics. We know how important writing
- 2:52Speaker 1: new material is, and the Packer fans just stick with
- 2:56Speaker 1: the one, you know, like the Bears still suck, Like
- 3:00Speaker 1: we've been doing that thing for decades, and we've also
- 3:03Speaker 1: been doing right the cheese head. Just think about the cheesehead.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Think about how that was a thing that started as
- 3:11Speaker 1: it's a joke, right like, oh, I'm wearing cheese on
- 3:14Speaker 1: my head, and that joke never changed. It's still you
- 3:18Speaker 1: still see people with cheeseheads on three decades later, and
- 3:22Speaker 1: it's still not funny. It's still not funny. And then
- 3:25Speaker 1: they've tried to spin it off into like ten gallon
- 3:28Speaker 1: cowboy cheese hats, still not funny, bra and panty cheese
- 3:34Speaker 1: saying it's still not funny, and the Vikings the only
- 3:37Speaker 1: thing that they wear is a disappointment and that's okay, Okay.
- 3:42Speaker 1: That was a long way. That was a long way
- 3:46Speaker 1: to go to get I was like, that was both
- 3:50Speaker 1: a beautiful attempt of you like to ingratiate yourself to
- 3:54Speaker 1: the fan base. That was a very nice suck up
- 3:57Speaker 1: with a jab at the end. That was very Midwest
- 4:00Speaker 1: Western of you. The cheese Head to me, you remember
- 4:03Speaker 1: Adam Sandler's character where he like basically made fun of
- 4:07Speaker 1: comedy by going on at Halloween and going I'm mister Staplehead,
- 4:11Speaker 1: and he would just put a state. That's that is
- 4:15Speaker 1: the level of thought that went into the cheese Head.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Here's my problem with Packer fans because I think they're
- 4:22Speaker 1: the trust fund babies of the NFL. And I want
- 4:25Speaker 1: you to like, the trophy is named after you, Yes,
- 4:29Speaker 1: that's people. Forget how the level of entitlement for your
- 4:34Speaker 1: silly fan base like. And I get it. If it
- 4:38Speaker 1: was if this year we were playing to win the
- 4:41Speaker 1: Super Bowl for the Bud Grant Trophy, I would be
- 4:44Speaker 1: walking around so fat and cocky all the time. I
- 4:48Speaker 1: understand it. But it's like the generations before you created
- 4:53Speaker 1: the wealth if you will, yes, and now now you've
- 4:57Speaker 1: had these thirty years of Hall of Fame quarterbacks. It's
- 5:01Speaker 1: like the high school kid who crashes a Lamborghini and well,
- 5:05Speaker 1: the tow truck is hauling it away. He's on the
- 5:08Speaker 1: side of the road googling Bentley's that's the mindset of
- 5:12Speaker 1: your insane fan were there. I have a lot of
- 5:15Speaker 1: Packer friends who genuinely like, I think Jordan loves gonna
- 5:18Speaker 1: be really good? What is that? How do you as
- 5:23Speaker 1: somebody who you Brett Farve came to our team and
- 5:27Speaker 1: I was so excited, but a part of me was like,
- 5:29Speaker 1: I don't know if he's gonna be good? What is
- 5:33Speaker 1: what is that insane confidence that exists inside you? Psychopath?
- 5:37Speaker 1: I don't know, but I think you missed a joke opportunity.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Instead of titled Town, it should be called entitled tone. Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I like, I like entitled Town. I agree with I
- 5:48Speaker 1: agree with all of that. And I you know, as
- 5:51Speaker 1: a diehard Packer fan, it's hard to stomach some of
- 5:55Speaker 1: that stuff. But no fan but we know now that
- 5:58Speaker 1: no fan base is perfect, you know, like everyone every
- 6:02Speaker 1: thirty two of the fan bases have their warts, and
- 6:07Speaker 1: you know, so I just I just kind of look
- 6:10Speaker 1: the other way on a lot of stuff that Packer
- 6:12Speaker 1: fans do, which is exactly what wealthy families do. It's
- 6:17Speaker 1: like the Kennedy's of like the Kennedy's of these You
- 6:20Speaker 1: hear what Jason said? Or did you hear what Jason did?
- 6:23Speaker 1: I don't want to hear it. Yeah, let's look away.
- 6:26Speaker 1: He'll get him a lawyer. He'll be fine. But I
- 6:29Speaker 1: always look at it in terms of humor, like how
- 6:31Speaker 1: would I go to Lambeau and I sit in the
- 6:33Speaker 1: bowl and uh, people start doing the wave. I'm like, guys,
- 6:38Speaker 1: are we really doing the wave? Like we're wearing the
- 6:41Speaker 1: cheese that you're sitting next to a guy wearing a
- 6:44Speaker 1: cheese said doing the wave. That's like the get or
- 6:48Speaker 1: done of football stadium activities. You know, it's like it
- 6:53Speaker 1: was funny like one time thirty years ago, but after
- 6:56Speaker 1: three decades, you know, it needs to be freshened up
- 6:59Speaker 1: a little bit, like come on, let's write some new material.
- 7:01Speaker 1: That's why I like some of these Premier League soccer team.
- 7:04Speaker 1: They have these great chants and they're like really clever
- 7:07Speaker 1: and like funny and very layered, and I wish that
- 7:10Speaker 1: we had that ability. But it's just like, no, we're
- 7:12Speaker 1: gonna drink beard and we're gonna do the wave, and
- 7:14Speaker 1: that's all right, well all right, but whatever works. You know,
- 7:18Speaker 1: these two franchises they share some things, but the only
- 7:22Speaker 1: thing that anybody cares about that they share is Brett Farve.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And we have both met Brett Farve. But your Brett
- 7:31Speaker 1: Farve story I love so much and I need you
- 7:33Speaker 1: to tell it to the people. Oh okay, Well, just
- 7:36Speaker 1: a little backstory. Before I did stand up comedy, I
- 7:39Speaker 1: was in the film production business and basically what my
- 7:44Speaker 1: job was was to be the prop master, so I
- 7:47Speaker 1: would hand the actors their props, whether it was a
- 7:51Speaker 1: bottle of gatorade or a football or a basketball or
- 7:55Speaker 1: whatever it was. And so we were shooting with Brett
- 7:59Speaker 1: at Lambo and it was kind of a small crew
- 8:03Speaker 1: and we were on the field and this is this
- 8:07Speaker 1: is prime career. Yeah, this is this right after the
- 8:10Speaker 1: Super Bowl win of Brett's Super Bowl and so ninety
- 8:14Speaker 1: seven or ninety eight, I guess, and uh yeah, And
- 8:16Speaker 1: so I was really I don't know, he was just
- 8:19Speaker 1: really nice guy, and so I thought, well, he won't
- 8:21Speaker 1: mind if I ask him to throw me a touchdown
- 8:23Speaker 1: him in the end zone field And it's not it
- 8:28Speaker 1: wasn't really like a pro move on my part, Like
- 8:31Speaker 1: you're not supposed to ask for autographs or do anything
- 8:33Speaker 1: like that. And I just really had to make the
- 8:36Speaker 1: decision like do I want to sacrifice my entire career
- 8:39Speaker 1: get fired for this moment? And Brett was and so,
- 8:44Speaker 1: but but you do you have to Here's the thing. Yes,
- 8:46Speaker 1: I won't hear. That is absolutely the right move. If
- 8:50Speaker 1: you have the chance to meet someone that impacted you know,
- 8:54Speaker 1: your childhood from sports or arts, you absolutely make a
- 8:59Speaker 1: fool out of yourself every single Yeah, I think I
- 9:01Speaker 1: think that's true. It's just one of those moments in
- 9:04Speaker 1: life where you have to weigh the importance of being
- 9:09Speaker 1: selfish and so and you know, and Brett, I mean,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and I don't I don't pretend to know that I
- 9:14Speaker 1: know Brett Farr really well or anything, but he just
- 9:18Speaker 1: he's an easy going guy, just like you see. It's
- 9:20Speaker 1: of course it's like, hey, you know, uncle Brett, we
- 9:23Speaker 1: asked me a touchdown. You know, it was like that moment,
- 9:26Speaker 1: you know, I was like, kid. His personality is like
- 9:29Speaker 1: he came up with the idea for the Wrangler commercials,
- 9:32Speaker 1: like I don't know, man, put the truck there and
- 9:35Speaker 1: I'll throw these fellas footballs and whatever. Just whatever, Man,
- 9:39Speaker 1: what if I drive by the background on a tractor?
- 9:41Speaker 1: You know, just like whatever. Yeah, And that's exactly the
- 9:45Speaker 1: vibe that I got from him. So I decided to
- 9:49Speaker 1: I decided to ask him if he would do the honor,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and I told him I was a Packer fan, so
- 9:55Speaker 1: he said, yeah, go out. He kind of waved me
- 9:58Speaker 1: out like you're you know, like your buddy, just like
- 10:00Speaker 1: waved me out, and I went to the back of
- 10:03Speaker 1: the end zone and made a sharp cut across. He
- 10:06Speaker 1: was about I don't know, thirty thirty, No, I'm like
- 10:09Speaker 1: twenty five yards away, and he put so much heat
- 10:12Speaker 1: on the ball, like he just like it just came
- 10:15Speaker 1: in like you could hear the football like whispering, like
- 10:20Speaker 1: you know. It was just like and I'm like, I
- 10:22Speaker 1: cannot drop this. There's never been a concentrated amount of,
- 10:26Speaker 1: you know, a focus ever in my life. I could
- 10:28Speaker 1: focus that much in the rest of my life, i'd
- 10:31Speaker 1: be a billionaire. But so the ball came in and
- 10:34Speaker 1: it kind of like tore through my hands. It hit
- 10:37Speaker 1: me like right in the groin basically, and I kind
- 10:40Speaker 1: of coughed it up and then trapped it and kept
- 10:43Speaker 1: walking and I caught it, you know, and then I
- 10:46Speaker 1: like the tunnel was right there, so I kind of
- 10:48Speaker 1: like walked into the tunnel. It was like a metaphor
- 10:50Speaker 1: for like, Wow, no, I'm just walking into the light
- 10:53Speaker 1: now and I don't ever need to live any longer
- 10:56Speaker 1: than this, and you know, and that was that was it, basically.
- 11:00Speaker 1: But and I didn't really want to tell anyone that
- 11:02Speaker 1: it really hurt my growing pretty bad. Yeah, that's the
- 11:08Speaker 1: least cool end of the stories. I And then I
- 11:10Speaker 1: had a stomach ache for a week because it drilled
- 11:13Speaker 1: me in the nad. Yeah. I remember I was around
- 11:16Speaker 1: a guy who was a really good high school quarterback.
- 11:19Speaker 1: This is a few years ago, yeah, Like and so
- 11:22Speaker 1: he was fifteen years out of high school and he
- 11:24Speaker 1: was a like a really good high school quarterback and
- 11:27Speaker 1: I was watching him throw passes and I thought, that's
- 11:30Speaker 1: very hard. That's too hard. So to like when Brett
- 11:34Speaker 1: fave You said you could hear it whispering, I assume
- 11:36Speaker 1: the football was just going ouch ouch ouch ouch all
- 11:40Speaker 1: the way into your hand, but you could you could
- 11:43Speaker 1: see the spire like you don't know, I mean, for
- 11:46Speaker 1: people that have never seen a NFL player, a quarterback
- 11:51Speaker 1: throw a ball in person, there's a tightness to that
- 11:54Speaker 1: spiral that you can't you know, you can't even imagine.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And so to see it coming in on such a
- 12:01Speaker 1: there's no drop, you know, arc to this ball. It
- 12:04Speaker 1: came in just completely flat, and and it was. It's
- 12:08Speaker 1: truly one of like when I die, you know, I'll
- 12:11Speaker 1: look back and that'll be like in one of the
- 12:13Speaker 1: A plus memories of my life. And and he was
- 12:17Speaker 1: kind enough to do it for me. So it's so
- 12:19Speaker 1: much better than my Brett Farve story, because yours has
- 12:22Speaker 1: a little bit of embarrassment to it, like oh I
- 12:26Speaker 1: got drilled in the groin, but it's more Hey in
- 12:29Speaker 1: the prime of his career. The year after the Packers
- 12:33Speaker 1: won their Super Bowl, I caught a touchdown from Brett
- 12:35Speaker 1: Farve at lambeau Field Mine. So when Farve came here,
- 12:39Speaker 1: it's a very simple story. I got to meet him
- 12:42Speaker 1: and unexpectedly I didn't expect to meet him. I was
- 12:45Speaker 1: standing and then he was near me and somebody goes, hey, Brett,
- 12:51Speaker 1: this is and it was just out of nowhere it happened.
- 12:54Speaker 1: So I wasn't prepared for it. And it was mid season,
- 12:57Speaker 1: so there was full Farv mania and we were at
- 13:00Speaker 1: that point where, oh, oh my, this might be this
- 13:03Speaker 1: might be the super Bowl team we've been waiting for.
- 13:06Speaker 1: We didn't know one knew Aaron Rodgers was going to
- 13:09Speaker 1: be good. So to end your run with Brett Farve
- 13:13Speaker 1: with us getting the same amount of Super Bowl like,
- 13:15Speaker 1: there was all this emotion in them. So I was
- 13:18Speaker 1: such I was so invested in that season. So when
- 13:21Speaker 1: I turned and saw his face, I was startled and
- 13:25Speaker 1: I did that thing you see on TV shows where
- 13:28Speaker 1: he put his hand out and I shook his hand
- 13:31Speaker 1: and I just said gun slinger, not even just the
- 13:36Speaker 1: word gun slinger, Tim, not even hey, you're the gun slinger.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I just said the word gun slinger. And he was
- 13:44Speaker 1: like yeah, and that was it. It was. It was horrible.
- 13:49Speaker 1: And this year, so my family all knows this story,
- 13:54Speaker 1: and this year, Brett Farve is on cameo cameo if
- 14:00Speaker 1: anybody listening doesn't know what cameos is, where all these
- 14:02Speaker 1: actors and athletes you could pay them to send messages
- 14:06Speaker 1: to people. And one of my family members did the
- 14:09Speaker 1: funniest thing in the world. I just got a cameo
- 14:12Speaker 1: randomly from Brett Farve and all it was was Brett
- 14:16Speaker 1: Farve going a gun slinger. That's it. That was the
- 14:21Speaker 1: whole cameo, which I thought was I thought it was unbelievable.
- 14:27Speaker 1: The rivalry. It means so many different things to so
- 14:32Speaker 1: many people, and it's it's crazy how we each have
- 14:35Speaker 1: our own moments from it. You know, do you have
- 14:38Speaker 1: a do you I want to do favorite and least favorite,
- 14:41Speaker 1: but do you have a favorite memory from the rivalry?
- 14:44Speaker 1: My favorite memory of the rivalry and my least favorite
- 14:48Speaker 1: memory of the rival happened within probably ten seconds of
- 14:52Speaker 1: each other. Oh boys. So my least favorite memory of
- 14:55Speaker 1: the rivalry was when that Randy Moss thing where he
- 14:59Speaker 1: moved the crowd like that burn It burned me so bad,
- 15:03Speaker 1: like it. I was so disappointed by it when he
- 15:08Speaker 1: did it. And then like a second later, Joe Buck goes,
- 15:13Speaker 1: that is a disgusting act by Randy Moss, and it
- 15:18Speaker 1: just like counterbalanced the moment. I was like, yeah it is, Joe,
- 15:22Speaker 1: It sure was disgusting. Yeah, and like trying to get
- 15:26Speaker 1: the whole world to get against Randy Moss. And I
- 15:28Speaker 1: just remember that being one of the most bizarre, crazy
- 15:34Speaker 1: moments in my history of the Packer Viking, where, you know,
- 15:38Speaker 1: because because Joe Buck was like had no reservations about
- 15:41Speaker 1: calling it disgusting and it Yeah, he really went hard.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It seemed a little bit too hard because I just
- 15:49Speaker 1: watched a little, a little. The only reason you think
- 15:52Speaker 1: it's a little too hard is because of how bad
- 15:55Speaker 1: that game in general must have made you feel. That
- 15:58Speaker 1: was the most outrageous. The Vikings and the Packers don't
- 16:03Speaker 1: really play in the playoffs. That's not how it works.
- 16:05Speaker 1: That was such an odd and there was so much
- 16:08Speaker 1: so I was at that game, tim Wow. So I
- 16:12Speaker 1: took one of my nephews and I was like in
- 16:15Speaker 1: my early twenties, and I was gonna buy tickets, and
- 16:17Speaker 1: I kept hesitating, and the only thing that was left
- 16:20Speaker 1: were these nosebleeds And finally, I wait to tell, like
- 16:23Speaker 1: the day before, and I bought them on like some
- 16:25Speaker 1: second tier site and the only thing available was sixth
- 16:29Speaker 1: row of the end zone. So I take my nephew,
- 16:34Speaker 1: we go six row of the end zone. We drive
- 16:36Speaker 1: out to Lambo. I'd never ever been there before, and
- 16:39Speaker 1: everybody forgets the Vikings. At best, you can describe them
- 16:43Speaker 1: as backing into the playoffs that year. They were a
- 16:46Speaker 1: disaster down the stretch, and they back into the and
- 16:50Speaker 1: the Packers had a good team and that game farv
- 16:54Speaker 1: got picked off like it was. We were we were
- 16:58Speaker 1: so we celebrated so boisterously through the first half, and
- 17:02Speaker 1: during the second half we started looking around and we
- 17:05Speaker 1: were like, oh, we should put our coats on. People
- 17:07Speaker 1: here are really really upset and we're wearing the wrong color.
- 17:12Speaker 1: But Tim, we were in the end zone that Moss
- 17:16Speaker 1: mooned and the moment he mooned everybody and I'm not
- 17:20Speaker 1: a dancer, but I just started like doing the running
- 17:24Speaker 1: man like the So if they if they would have
- 17:28Speaker 1: panned that camera up, like if you had a straight
- 17:31Speaker 1: on shot of him mooning, if you panned that camera
- 17:33Speaker 1: up enough, there is a young version of me doing
- 17:37Speaker 1: the running Man in the stands well, Packer fans lose
- 17:41Speaker 1: their minds and that was It's funny. That was one
- 17:45Speaker 1: of your worst. That was one of my That was
- 17:48Speaker 1: one of my best. That game was so, so, so great,
- 17:52Speaker 1: And then we drove home and thought we'd see all
- 17:55Speaker 1: the coverage of this incredible win and it was all
- 17:57Speaker 1: about this stupid fake moon, which I just don't care
- 18:02Speaker 1: about it at all. Some Ways, it was it was
- 18:05Speaker 1: a viral moment before you know, things were I mean,
- 18:09Speaker 1: that was that was pre TikTok and all that stuff.
- 18:12Speaker 1: It had all the rage of a Twitter of a
- 18:15Speaker 1: Twitter torch party, but none of the gigantic movement behind it.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I always felt like we needed Joe Buck to validate
- 18:24Speaker 1: how inappropriate that way. I remember being like morally offended
- 18:28Speaker 1: by it, you know, like I was some sort of
- 18:30Speaker 1: and that's that's what's such, that's that's such such bs too,
- 18:33Speaker 1: because the reason Moss did it. You know this everybody,
- 18:36Speaker 1: but it never gets reported. The packer fans line up,
- 18:40Speaker 1: here's going back to your Hi, what if we put
- 18:43Speaker 1: cheese on her hand and did them Their big gag
- 18:47Speaker 1: is they all all these yokels line up outside the
- 18:51Speaker 1: stadium in the wintertime and as the team's bus pulls up,
- 18:55Speaker 1: they moon the bus. That's like the thing they've been
- 18:59Speaker 1: doing it forever. There's guys are like, why my dad
- 19:03Speaker 1: mooned the Bears and Vikings. His dad mooned the Bears
- 19:07Speaker 1: and Vikings and his dad lost a butt cheek to pneumonia.
- 19:11Speaker 1: But I'm like, it's it is so dumb, and no
- 19:14Speaker 1: one ever was like yeah, no one ever stood back
- 19:17Speaker 1: to say, hey, that's actually really funny that he did.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Because I thought it was very very fun. Well, and
- 19:23Speaker 1: I think it's cool fast forwarding. I think it's like
- 19:25Speaker 1: I watched Randy Moss and some of the programs, and I,
- 19:29Speaker 1: you know, he's become a little bit of a media
- 19:31Speaker 1: personality and I actually really like him now he's really
- 19:36Speaker 1: like honest and I really like his takes and so
- 19:39Speaker 1: it all is forgiven. But at the time, I just
- 19:42Speaker 1: and I also remember thinking like I haven't an inordinate
- 19:45Speaker 1: amount of rage about this, Like maybe there's something about
- 19:49Speaker 1: me that I need to look in the mirror on it,
- 19:51Speaker 1: because you're projecting a little bit. Yeah, Like I think
- 19:56Speaker 1: I was sad for like three weeks, and I'm like,
- 19:58Speaker 1: this is there might be a man dedication that I
- 20:00Speaker 1: need to be ones start to help I could get.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Let's push into the matchup itself. Here are your is
- 20:07Speaker 1: your brain thinking shootout or slug fest? I think it's
- 20:11Speaker 1: gonna be a slug fest, and only because the Vikings
- 20:16Speaker 1: are gonna need some time to find themselves. Aaron Rodgers
- 20:20Speaker 1: is going to take a lot of time on the
- 20:23Speaker 1: play clock to just completely tear a new one into
- 20:27Speaker 1: his young wide receivers. There's gonna be some teaching going
- 20:30Speaker 1: on in the field. I just feel like there's just
- 20:33Speaker 1: like it's I think it's gonna be clunky, and you know,
- 20:36Speaker 1: the way that the offseason and the training campus structured
- 20:40Speaker 1: with players that they don't get to hit a lot
- 20:43Speaker 1: and you can have a certain amount of you know,
- 20:46Speaker 1: they took away one of the preseason games, so I
- 20:48Speaker 1: feel like these first games are often kind of clunky, awkward,
- 20:53Speaker 1: and I just feel like that. I feel like the
- 20:56Speaker 1: Packers defense is in sync. There was a lot of
- 20:59Speaker 1: continuity there, so I feel like I feel like we're
- 21:02Speaker 1: gonna make it hard on mister Cousins and you know,
- 21:06Speaker 1: but I don't think that our offense is going to
- 21:08Speaker 1: light up the room either, So low scorn, It's interesting.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I don't everybody's really like pumped that this is the
- 21:16Speaker 1: Week one matchup. I hate it, you know. I'm I
- 21:20Speaker 1: love Packer week no matter when it happens. But I
- 21:23Speaker 1: would rather have our most important games of the season,
- 21:26Speaker 1: which is what I view this game as Week six,
- 21:28Speaker 1: Week eight. I want the team to be rolling and
- 21:31Speaker 1: see what we're dealing with. You know the other side
- 21:34Speaker 1: of that is this new look. I mean, what an
- 21:39Speaker 1: out rageous opportunity for the new Vikings you know O'Connell, Quasi,
- 21:44Speaker 1: all these guys who've built this new team and kind
- 21:47Speaker 1: of change the course. You go out and you beat
- 21:50Speaker 1: the Packers the back to back MVP Week one. That's
- 21:54Speaker 1: like showing up at like a reunion with a brand
- 21:58Speaker 1: new job and a car. You have that walk back
- 22:01Speaker 1: into the building look at me now thing. But I
- 22:04Speaker 1: don't overly love that it's a Week one game. Well,
- 22:07Speaker 1: I think that there's way more pressure on the Vikings,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and not that that's good for us, but I feel
- 22:12Speaker 1: like I feel like you're absolutely right, like you want
- 22:15Speaker 1: to come out of this. You want to bring it
- 22:18Speaker 1: to us hard. You want to beat us forty three
- 22:21Speaker 1: to seven and start off and get a lot of confidence.
- 22:24Speaker 1: And I feel like the Packers challenge is going to
- 22:27Speaker 1: be how do we get up for this game? And
- 22:30Speaker 1: I think I know last season we opened against the
- 22:33Speaker 1: Saints and they took it to us hard. And so
- 22:37Speaker 1: I think this year, I think Lafleur is saying, hey,
- 22:40Speaker 1: remember last year, Remember last year, And so I think
- 22:42Speaker 1: each team has its own reason to really, I mean,
- 22:45Speaker 1: they don't need to get pumped up because it's a rivalry,
- 22:48Speaker 1: but I think there's an extra motivation on both sides.
- 22:51Speaker 1: We're both nervous fans. I mean, come game time, my
- 22:55Speaker 1: nephew will be in the corner switching jerseys from offense DA.
- 22:59Speaker 1: There's a lot of silly rituals and stuff like, we
- 23:03Speaker 1: will be nervous. I know you will be nervous. What's
- 23:05Speaker 1: the one What's the one thing that can happen early
- 23:08Speaker 1: in this game that'll calm you down? Like early in
- 23:12Speaker 1: the game, if I see our defensive front getting pressure
- 23:16Speaker 1: on Rogers and making him make fast decisions with those
- 23:19Speaker 1: young receivers. The moment that happens, I take a deep,
- 23:23Speaker 1: deep breath. Do you have a thing that can calm
- 23:25Speaker 1: you down? Yeah? I do. Before I say that, though,
- 23:30Speaker 1: I thought you were gonna say, like when the Vikings
- 23:32Speaker 1: kicker makes one extra point the first quarter, everybody just relaxes.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I have Here's the thing that's but that's funny, but
- 23:44Speaker 1: that's not remotely true. Here's what I could tell you,
- 23:47Speaker 1: Greg Joseph could nail every kick off season long. He
- 23:51Speaker 1: could kick four sixty eight yard field goals in one game,
- 23:54Speaker 1: and we're in the NFC Championship with a twenty yard
- 23:58Speaker 1: field goal to win. I could I couldn't watch it.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna go just sit in my car for a
- 24:04Speaker 1: couple of hours and then come back into the house
- 24:06Speaker 1: and try to sense the mood of everybody. So I
- 24:10Speaker 1: think that's cute that you think will breathe through a kick,
- 24:14Speaker 1: but it's there's no world where that exists. Yeah, now,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I for me, and I really thought that was a
- 24:20Speaker 1: great question. I really think the number one thing is
- 24:24Speaker 1: seeing Rogers hit Lazard like six times in the first
- 24:29Speaker 1: half for big connections and important passes, you know, because
- 24:33Speaker 1: everybody wants to know how do we replace Davante Adams.
- 24:37Speaker 1: And I don't think people around the league have really
- 24:40Speaker 1: taken a close look at Alan Lazard. And he's big.
- 24:46Speaker 1: He's like six foot five, six foot six. He's decent
- 24:50Speaker 1: speed and agility, but he boxes people out. He boxes
- 24:54Speaker 1: smaller cornerbacks out, he uses leverage. He's a great blocker.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I mean, he's he's a HI. That's like you're like, okay,
- 25:02Speaker 1: why can't he be a number one ride receiver? And
- 25:04Speaker 1: I think he can. So if Rogers comes out and
- 25:07Speaker 1: hits him just like, you know, shot after shot like
- 25:10Speaker 1: he used to do it, Adams. Adams are just dog
- 25:13Speaker 1: walk the Vikings down the field on some of those drives.
- 25:17Speaker 1: No offense, but he was no, no, he was. He
- 25:20Speaker 1: has been. He's been the guy that I want to
- 25:24Speaker 1: see the least. The last few years he has. Davante
- 25:28Speaker 1: Adams has absolutely destroyed us. So I'm very enthused to
- 25:33Speaker 1: see him in a place so far away, and I
- 25:38Speaker 1: hate but I think you're right, though there's no part
- 25:42Speaker 1: of me that thinks that, Like, do you really Viking
- 25:46Speaker 1: fans who are sitting there like, oh good look, good
- 25:49Speaker 1: luck without your buddy Devon? Do you Let's let's break
- 25:52Speaker 1: that down rationally, right, do you really think Aaron Rodgers,
- 25:57Speaker 1: who everybody everybody's motivated somewhat by money, everybody's motivated some
- 26:03Speaker 1: everybody has their different motivations. Let's not pretend money isn't
- 26:05Speaker 1: part of it. But do you really think Aaron Rodgers
- 26:09Speaker 1: signs another deal comes back without an understanding of what
- 26:14Speaker 1: he's going to deal with? You think Aaron Rodgers was like,
- 26:17Speaker 1: gee whiz, I didn't realize Alan Lazard was gonna be
- 26:21Speaker 1: one of my top too. He knew it. So and
- 26:24Speaker 1: a guy who's been so opinionate that was the big
- 26:27Speaker 1: issue last year. It was like I want some say
- 26:30Speaker 1: in the personnel. I want to be involved. So why
- 26:33Speaker 1: after him signing the contract, would you think he isn't aware?
- 26:36Speaker 1: And I'm just this believer in that a great quarterback
- 26:43Speaker 1: makes offensive line look good and better than they are
- 26:46Speaker 1: and receivers look good and better than they are. And
- 26:49Speaker 1: so there's a world where in two years, yeah, maybe
- 26:52Speaker 1: Lazard isn't the guy, but there was a point in
- 26:55Speaker 1: time where Davante Adams for the first three seasons got
- 26:58Speaker 1: barely five hundred yards a year. So I'm not gonna
- 27:02Speaker 1: be the Viking fan who's sitting here like, who's you
- 27:05Speaker 1: gonna throw it too? Brother? I just don't. I don't
- 27:08Speaker 1: buy into that, and I don't want to be on
- 27:09Speaker 1: the other end of that when I have to watch
- 27:12Speaker 1: a man named Lazard put touchdowns on him. How are
- 27:15Speaker 1: you guys? How is he not having a nickname? Yet?
- 27:17Speaker 1: You've got a man named does anybody call him anything
- 27:20Speaker 1: Lizard related? The Lazard King? He's the Lazard King. I've
- 27:25Speaker 1: seen that one yet. Well, that's that makes sense that
- 27:28Speaker 1: you know, I'm gonna hate that if he ends up
- 27:30Speaker 1: being a good but I love it right now. But
- 27:33Speaker 1: the moment he puts eighty or more yards on us.
- 27:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna hate it. Yeah, he's going to I mean,
- 27:39Speaker 1: I'm all in. I am all in. And I've liked
- 27:42Speaker 1: him since he was I mean he was a he
- 27:45Speaker 1: was cut by the Jaguars. He's been on practice squads. Uh,
- 27:49Speaker 1: he's you know, he's just plays nasty. I like the
- 27:53Speaker 1: kid a lot, and I'm not worried at all. So
- 27:55Speaker 1: plus we have, you know, we have all those young
- 27:57Speaker 1: kids that we got and they're they're good, and they're athletic,
- 28:01Speaker 1: and I don't know how hard can be. How hard
- 28:04Speaker 1: can playing receiver in the NFLB. What a great question
- 28:13Speaker 1: here I have. I have a question for you that
- 28:16Speaker 1: you are gonna mock, but it's not gonna stop me
- 28:19Speaker 1: from asking it. Because Kirk Cousins is polarizing that you know,
- 28:26Speaker 1: in the national media, in the local media, everybody has
- 28:30Speaker 1: their opinion of Kirk. Is there any part of you
- 28:33Speaker 1: that is worried that you could be the first victim
- 28:37Speaker 1: of the Kirk Cousins Revolution. Now, before you, before you
- 28:42Speaker 1: tear mere, hear what I'm saying. This is a guy
- 28:45Speaker 1: who we all know what happened in Washington, and he
- 28:49Speaker 1: was with a defensive head coach the last few years.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I mean, we don't have to get into everything that's
- 28:54Speaker 1: been said about whether there was a good match there.
- 28:58Speaker 1: But for the first time, not only does he have
- 29:01Speaker 1: insane weapons, a good young offensive line, but he has
- 29:06Speaker 1: a coach who has coached him before and is a
- 29:09Speaker 1: modern offensive mind, a guy who coached under mcvagh, a
- 29:13Speaker 1: guy like you guys have. Is there any part of
- 29:17Speaker 1: you that worries you might third quarter text me and go, oh, no,
- 29:24Speaker 1: is Kirk Cousins gonna be the envy? Is there any
- 29:28Speaker 1: Is there any part of you that has any fear? Yeah?
- 29:31Speaker 1: Of course that narrative has been floating around a lot,
- 29:34Speaker 1: especially like in fantasy football circles, that this is the
- 29:38Speaker 1: long anticipated free Kirk Cousins moment. I'm not concerned about it.
- 29:44Speaker 1: And this is the part that comes back where you
- 29:46Speaker 1: clip this out and then play it over and over.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I'm not concerned about it because I think I won't
- 29:54Speaker 1: even play it over and over. I'll just text you
- 29:56Speaker 1: the audio clip just all season long. I think the
- 30:00Speaker 1: Packers have a top five defense. I think we're going
- 30:03Speaker 1: to blitz Kirt Cousins all day long. And I think
- 30:07Speaker 1: Rashaun Gary and Kenny Clark, and you know, I love
- 30:11Speaker 1: what we've done on the defense, and so I have
- 30:14Speaker 1: faith that our defense is going to bring some pain
- 30:18Speaker 1: to the Vikings offense, and so I'm not worried about it.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I mean, he might go nuts on other teams, but
- 30:25Speaker 1: I have faith that our defense is gonna kind of
- 30:28Speaker 1: hold him in check. So's it's really interesting. There's kind
- 30:32Speaker 1: of I'm gonna give you a Michael Jordan analogy for
- 30:35Speaker 1: what's happened with your Packers the last few years. You
- 30:38Speaker 1: remember early in Michael Jordan's career where you know, he
- 30:42Speaker 1: had what was coach's name, A Doug Doug Collins. Thank
- 30:46Speaker 1: you had Doug Collins. He was clearly an outrageous talent,
- 30:49Speaker 1: sixty three points in the playoffs against the Celtics, you know,
- 30:52Speaker 1: scoring titles, unstoppable force. But they just couldn't get there.
- 30:57Speaker 1: And then Phil Jackson comes and he's like, Michael, you
- 31:01Speaker 1: got you gotta play this way, and Michael buys into
- 31:03Speaker 1: the triangle and all of a sudden they're playing a
- 31:05Speaker 1: different sort of defense and Scotti's and it's just it
- 31:08Speaker 1: was just a different team and a different way of
- 31:11Speaker 1: doing things. I have this thought that you know, it's
- 31:16Speaker 1: taken a couple of years, but guten Kunst. You know
- 31:19Speaker 1: everybody wanted a ride receiver. He drafts aj Dillon. Now
- 31:22Speaker 1: you look like you might have Like I wouldn't be
- 31:24Speaker 1: surprised if the Packers all of a sudden lead the
- 31:27Speaker 1: league in Russia. They're one of the best rushing teams
- 31:29Speaker 1: in the league. I wouldn't be surprised they got those
- 31:32Speaker 1: these two great inside linebackers. You know, Gay Year is
- 31:35Speaker 1: going to be back. You've built You've built a team
- 31:38Speaker 1: now that essentially is running and defense oriented that also
- 31:43Speaker 1: has a Hall of Fame quarterback coming off of back
- 31:46Speaker 1: to back MVPs. So it's as much as it's been
- 31:49Speaker 1: fun to watch you guys lose, in the back of
- 31:52Speaker 1: my mind is did they just Michael Jordan in the
- 31:56Speaker 1: nineties Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, Well that's that's I mean, any
- 32:00Speaker 1: body that's followed me or heard me talk about sports,
- 32:03Speaker 1: or read anything that I've ever written about the Packers
- 32:06Speaker 1: knows that it's been a tragedy that they've not focused
- 32:12Speaker 1: in the right places like they're like for for a
- 32:15Speaker 1: long time. They're like special teams. What's that defense what's that?
- 32:19Speaker 1: You know, like they never and I think Guda Kunst
- 32:22Speaker 1: is finally starting to say, Okay, we have an aging
- 32:26Speaker 1: Hall of Fame quarterback. How are we going to win.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Let's look at the Peyton Manning blueprint, you know with
- 32:31Speaker 1: the Denver Broncos. Let's let's run the ball and win
- 32:34Speaker 1: with defense and get a great special teams set up going.
- 32:38Speaker 1: And they brought in a great special teams Cordon. It's crazy.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I mean, arguably, Bisacia, I can never say that. Right's right?
- 32:47Speaker 1: I did I nail it. Yeah, if you put that
- 32:50Speaker 1: guy's face on a bottle of spaghetti sauce, I'm buying
- 32:55Speaker 1: it for the rest of my life. Uncle Rich's spaghetti sauce.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Give me something. He just looked. He looks like he
- 33:02Speaker 1: knows how to cook. But he wanted I wanted everybody
- 33:07Speaker 1: wanted him everybody. He was arguably the most coveted assistant
- 33:11Speaker 1: coach of the off season, and you were arguably the
- 33:16Speaker 1: worst special team in the league. And I also have
- 33:20Speaker 1: this belief that if you take something that was horrible
- 33:22Speaker 1: and make it average, everybody wants to know where are
- 33:24Speaker 1: we going to go from average to great? Yeah? Like,
- 33:27Speaker 1: where are we going to replace somebody who's good with
- 33:29Speaker 1: somebody great. It's just as important to go from horrible
- 33:33Speaker 1: to average. If your special teams unit goes from horrible
- 33:36Speaker 1: to average, yikes, that's not gonna be fun for everybody
- 33:40Speaker 1: else that's gonna be That was always the like they'll
- 33:43Speaker 1: screw it up this way situation. Yeah. Well, and the
- 33:46Speaker 1: other thing is that they've also started to draft players
- 33:50Speaker 1: or keep players on the final fifty three that can
- 33:53Speaker 1: be special teams focused. And that was always a thing
- 33:58Speaker 1: with the previous decade where the Packers were like, oh, yeah,
- 34:01Speaker 1: whatever guys happened to be on the fifty three, we'll
- 34:03Speaker 1: just throw him out there and kick return, you know,
- 34:05Speaker 1: like they never really like Bill Belichick was a genius
- 34:08Speaker 1: with that. With that, you know, he'll draft someone. He'll
- 34:12Speaker 1: look at the draft pool and be like that guy
- 34:14Speaker 1: would be a great gunner, and then he would draft
- 34:16Speaker 1: him and make that person into a gunner. And we've
- 34:20Speaker 1: never done that. We're all like, oh, yeah, we got
- 34:22Speaker 1: some you know, third string running backs they can play
- 34:24Speaker 1: special teams and and so I think they had to
- 34:27Speaker 1: change their mentality on that and they started to do that.
- 34:30Speaker 1: I think he sees an opportunity. He's like, Hey, what
- 34:33Speaker 1: if I take that special teams a unit from thirty
- 34:37Speaker 1: first to third, then that makes me look like I
- 34:41Speaker 1: could be a head coach opportunity one more time? And
- 34:45Speaker 1: I think I thought he did interview for some head
- 34:48Speaker 1: coaching jobs and I think he should have probably been considered.
- 34:51Speaker 1: You did a great job with the Raiders. So the
- 34:54Speaker 1: what the hell is going on with baktri Like, what
- 34:57Speaker 1: is what is the Are we going to get some
- 34:59Speaker 1: resolute ocean? It's such a ACLS are weird coming back
- 35:04Speaker 1: from ACLS are weird, But it's been a everybody thinks
- 35:07Speaker 1: he's starting week one, But where where the hell is
- 35:12Speaker 1: this thing going? You know? I don't know, and I
- 35:15Speaker 1: don't think anybody knows. I think the doctor of the
- 35:18Speaker 1: Packers knows, and I think that coach might know. But
- 35:22Speaker 1: I you know, it's weird because he's this story is
- 35:26Speaker 1: just dragging on and on and we won't know until
- 35:30Speaker 1: a week one when he lines up against Daniel Hunter
- 35:33Speaker 1: and we see it on tape and he's become you know,
- 35:36Speaker 1: such a sort of a viral sensation by chugging beer
- 35:41Speaker 1: at the Bucks games, and he's got more of a
- 35:45Speaker 1: he's got more of a sort of like well known
- 35:47Speaker 1: personality in the state, and people are certainly cheering for him.
- 35:52Speaker 1: So we'll see if it turns into anything. You know,
- 35:56Speaker 1: it's it's interesting, like because he is all world at
- 36:00Speaker 1: his job, but he also has this elevated you know, reputation.
- 36:06Speaker 1: I think in your community, because ay, you like that
- 36:11Speaker 1: pointed in your in your ugly little corner of the
- 36:14Speaker 1: world over a silly community, you're you're in your water infested.
- 36:20Speaker 1: That's one I had to I always research by the way.
- 36:23Speaker 1: I researched things about the city, you know, I kind
- 36:26Speaker 1: of like to get my jabs ready. And I read
- 36:29Speaker 1: something about the amount of water like lakes in your
- 36:33Speaker 1: state that are polluted, and I was like, that tracks
- 36:36Speaker 1: that definitely. I don't know. I wasn't going to look
- 36:38Speaker 1: us up, us up to compare it and find out
- 36:41Speaker 1: the numbers were close. I just wanted to feel superior
- 36:44Speaker 1: for a moment um, which is also a lake pun
- 36:47Speaker 1: lake superior. The point is Tim in your little corner
- 36:52Speaker 1: of the world. Ay, he's like Aaron Rodgers. Boy. These two,
- 36:56Speaker 1: these two nubs are rolling around you know, Green Bay
- 37:00Speaker 1: on a golf cart playing music. So he's he's got
- 37:03Speaker 1: the Rogers posse credibility, right, and then like you said,
- 37:10Speaker 1: he goes. You see other people do that, but you
- 37:13Speaker 1: don't normally see Hall of Famers in the front row
- 37:17Speaker 1: of NBA games about ready to crush a beer can
- 37:20Speaker 1: on their forehead. But he, I think every Wisconsin person
- 37:24Speaker 1: is like, yeah, that's that's uh, that's our fellah him
- 37:30Speaker 1: for he's you know, he's your version of Steve Hutchinson.
- 37:33Speaker 1: It's a it's very very Wisconsin Talladagga nights with everything
- 37:37Speaker 1: that's happening. Yeah, it's go to a Bucks game, chug
- 37:41Speaker 1: a beer, make a T shirt out of it, and
- 37:43Speaker 1: sell like four million of them in the parking lot
- 37:46Speaker 1: at lambeau Field, like instant meme, credibility with the with
- 37:50Speaker 1: the Packer fan base. But I mean with bach Terry,
- 37:54Speaker 1: it's you know, it's like he's our guy, like you said,
- 37:57Speaker 1: But if it was Mason Crosby, like vaping in the
- 38:00Speaker 1: parking line there, Yeah, you can't put John Kon in
- 38:06Speaker 1: row eight of a Brewer's game, you know, drinking a
- 38:10Speaker 1: beer and everybody's like, man, that's the greatest. That's really
- 38:14Speaker 1: that's and maybe it is Kon is also one of
- 38:16Speaker 1: He was one of those guys who you guys really
- 38:19Speaker 1: you know, leaned into I just don't know your roster
- 38:22Speaker 1: well enough to pick out somebody that unimportant. I also
- 38:26Speaker 1: want to like go back to what you said about
- 38:28Speaker 1: what I said about the cheeseheads. It's how it's like
- 38:30Speaker 1: this repetitive joke that just doesn't go anywhere. You know.
- 38:35Speaker 1: I feel like the Packer fans tend to embrace players
- 38:40Speaker 1: and never let go. Like Clay Matthews, like when he
- 38:43Speaker 1: was really jon Jordy Nelson was like, you know when
- 38:48Speaker 1: you go you know, when you go to rescue a dog,
- 38:52Speaker 1: which we've done, and I all dogs deserve to be rescued,
- 38:56Speaker 1: let's be very clear about that. But you know when
- 38:59Speaker 1: you go to rescue a dog and you walk down
- 39:01Speaker 1: and there's a whole bunch of puppies and you're like, oh,
- 39:03Speaker 1: look at them, and then you see a dog that's
- 39:06Speaker 1: like has to be seventy years old, you know, and
- 39:10Speaker 1: they're like, he only moves if you carry him. That
- 39:14Speaker 1: Jordy Nelson, when you had Packer fans clamoring like why
- 39:18Speaker 1: would we not? That is Jordy at that point was
- 39:21Speaker 1: the human version of that dog. He was so old.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I don't everybody loves their favorite players. I think if
- 39:30Speaker 1: Jared Allen was like, I'm suiting up Sunday, you'd have
- 39:33Speaker 1: Hillbillies all over Minnesota shaven mullets into the site. You
- 39:38Speaker 1: know they'd be ready to go. But you're right, the
- 39:40Speaker 1: Packers fans, you know, there's kind of a chip on
- 39:43Speaker 1: your shoulder because you live. Let's be honest, you live
- 39:47Speaker 1: in a tiny town that sucks. It's the toilet paper capital.
- 39:52Speaker 1: That's what you're known for. It's the name was the
- 39:56Speaker 1: Green Bay. The original name meant the stinking Bay because
- 39:59Speaker 1: the water smelled so bad. You're the toilet paper capital
- 40:03Speaker 1: of the world. Like you lead the nation in gin
- 40:06Speaker 1: sing and a bunch of other boring Like there's so
- 40:12Speaker 1: I think when people love the Packers, I think your
- 40:16Speaker 1: fans get this thing like they love us. Yeah, you're
- 40:20Speaker 1: you're the type of fan base that's gonna be you know,
- 40:23Speaker 1: donating to people's you know fan you know Patreon fan accounts,
- 40:30Speaker 1: like if we found out out the epic ranch, you
- 40:34Speaker 1: should hear that one for posterity though I can't. Yeah,
- 40:38Speaker 1: I mean, I'm gonna, I'm gonna pay for that one,
- 40:40Speaker 1: but it is. It is when Gilbert Brown would come
- 40:43Speaker 1: into he would go through the Burger game drive through
- 40:46Speaker 1: and get like a guilt a grave digger burger who
- 40:49Speaker 1: had like eighteen beef patties on it, like, yeah, he's
- 40:52Speaker 1: our boy. Look at that. You know that's the same thing.
- 40:56Speaker 1: And Clay Matthews his blonde hair like flowing, and and
- 41:00Speaker 1: I would see people buying Clay Matthews jerseys at the
- 41:03Speaker 1: very end there, I'm like, I don't know if I'd
- 41:05Speaker 1: buy that, because I don't think Clay's gonna be around
- 41:07Speaker 1: that much longer. But but going back to the gin
- 41:11Speaker 1: Sing back off on that stuff, would you My dad
- 41:14Speaker 1: U said, tell me you get in that gin Sing
- 41:16Speaker 1: game and you'll never have to worry about making any money.
- 41:20Speaker 1: It's like gin Sing is like the Bitcoin of agricultural crops.
- 41:26Speaker 1: I just I know, here's the thing. I could be
- 41:28Speaker 1: a nice host and go, you guys are known, you're
- 41:31Speaker 1: the leader in this positive thing. But I don't look
- 41:34Speaker 1: stuff up like that. I know. I know you're the
- 41:38Speaker 1: place where the first ice cream Sunday was invented, which
- 41:42Speaker 1: nothing has ever made more sense. I've been to Wisconsin,
- 41:44Speaker 1: I've seen enough men are lack put more stuff on that.
- 41:48Speaker 1: I lack the sugar, But what if more sugar? So
- 41:53Speaker 1: I didn't, I'm not gonna go fine stuff that's fun.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Here's a fun one. Wisconsin has tim sixty six of
- 42:00Speaker 1: their bridges landed on the nation's Most Dangerous Bridge list.
- 42:05Speaker 1: That's I don't I don't understand sixty six. That's so
- 42:12Speaker 1: like I understand if your state is we have a
- 42:14Speaker 1: few bridges that aren't safe. Sixty six. That's a few
- 42:18Speaker 1: bridges per county. Yeah, but is it the bridges or
- 42:21Speaker 1: the drivers that are driving on the bridges? Like is
- 42:25Speaker 1: that you went deep though? You went really deep into
- 42:29Speaker 1: like the shame of Wisconsin's like, yeah, I'm not gonna
- 42:34Speaker 1: I'm not going to I'm this whole episode was like
- 42:37Speaker 1: you're open to the show where it's like friendly and ah,
- 42:42Speaker 1: you know, I'm a pack of fan. But it's just
- 42:44Speaker 1: I did that thing the whole episode, and then at
- 42:46Speaker 1: the end I thought I would just spend as much
- 42:50Speaker 1: time as humanly possible saying stuff like day Tim, the
- 42:54Speaker 1: Fox River is one of the few rivers in the
- 42:56Speaker 1: nation that flows backwards, like your fan base, his thought process,
- 43:01Speaker 1: you know that sort of horrible stuff, trash the Dells.
- 43:05Speaker 1: The Dells are probably the coolest place in America to
- 43:10Speaker 1: get an infection, But the Dells, if you're trying to
- 43:15Speaker 1: get sick, there is no cooler place to do it.
- 43:19Speaker 1: I love the Dells. Yeah, Well, the Dells I'm not
- 43:22Speaker 1: into on so many levels because water parks plus outlet
- 43:26Speaker 1: malls plus bear fans that have traveled north as a
- 43:30Speaker 1: hard pass every single time. Yeah, that's the interesting thing
- 43:34Speaker 1: about the Dells. The Dells has to be like the
- 43:36Speaker 1: Mall of America, where anybody in Minneapolis is like, I'm
- 43:39Speaker 1: not going there. That's for people, That's for people from
- 43:43Speaker 1: the Dakotas. I would never go to the Mall of America.
- 43:46Speaker 1: That's got to be The Dells have to be the
- 43:48Speaker 1: water park version of that. Just people from Iowa, Chicago,
- 43:52Speaker 1: and Minnesota just piling into a pool together that kids
- 43:57Speaker 1: pee in. Yeah, you're not doing the Wisconsin Dell's Tourism
- 44:03Speaker 1: banquet this year, No, I don't. I don't think I'll
- 44:07Speaker 1: be performing at the Wisconsin Dell's corporate event this year.
- 44:12Speaker 1: They think they're getting a comedian and I just give
- 44:14Speaker 1: a ted talk on cryptosporidium and other bacterias. I'm worried
- 44:18Speaker 1: about water slide injury statistics. Dam. I love you so much,
- 44:24Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you for doing this. Is there anything?
- 44:28Speaker 1: Is there anything you'd like to plug before we get
- 44:30Speaker 1: out of here? Oh? Yeah, you know. I have a
- 44:32Speaker 1: couple of albums. They are all on the streaming services
- 44:35Speaker 1: and the Apple and Amazon. If you want, I have
- 44:40Speaker 1: a new dry Bar special coming out and with the
- 44:43Speaker 1: albums if you buy one, there's a charitable component to it.
- 44:47Speaker 1: It's part of the proceeds go to a cause. It's
- 44:50Speaker 1: very dear to me. It's an organization called the Sunday
- 44:53Speaker 1: Smiles Foundation. It's a group that provides grief counseling to
- 44:57Speaker 1: Viking fans on Sundays. And every penny helps, So whatever
- 45:02Speaker 1: you can do. Uh, this is just this entire stupid
- 45:08Speaker 1: show has been you and I baiting one another. That's
- 45:11Speaker 1: all it's been. Take the bait and have the hooks that.
- 45:15Speaker 1: What's what's your what's your prediction? What do you got
- 45:18Speaker 1: score or you know any potential this guy's gonna blow up?
- 45:22Speaker 1: You got any predictions? I got a Mason Crosby field
- 45:26Speaker 1: goal to win it. It's gonna be twenty four to
- 45:29Speaker 1: twenty one. Great, I'm gonna go with I think the
- 45:33Speaker 1: Packers are gonna put a ten on the board and
- 45:35Speaker 1: the Vikings about one hundred and seventy. Here comes the
- 45:40Speaker 1: Kirk Cousins Revolution. I can't remember what I called it earlier.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I'm really gonna I'm really gonna sell. I'm gonna sell
- 45:47Speaker 1: that hard to myself and tell Sunday I love you.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Thanks for doing the show, Thanks everybody for listening. There
- 45:54Speaker 1: will be new episodes of The Tailgate every Thursday morning
- 45:59Speaker 1: at eight am. You can download us anywhere. Please subscribe
- 46:04Speaker 1: and click the notifications on and do all the things.
- 46:06Speaker 1: We'll see you next week to talk Philadelphia Eagles with
- 46:10Speaker 1: two incredible stand up comedians
