- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with IET Radio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous podcast. Today I'm
- 0:08Speaker 2: doing headlines with Jared. Hello, Jared, you kind of got
- 0:12Speaker 2: a mini headline this week. I don't even know if
- 0:14Speaker 2: you know. I sent it to you on Instagram and
- 0:15Speaker 2: you're away last week.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Did you see No, I mean I saw you sent
- 0:20Speaker 3: me a real bout Joe Jonas.
- 0:22Speaker 2: No, that was about how he's everybody's hot pass right now.
- 0:25Speaker 2: But I was gonna say, how you are Caitlin's not
- 0:33Speaker 2: hall pass, but you are the one that she would
- 0:36Speaker 2: go back in time.
- 0:37Speaker 3: And yeah, I saw that. Okay, Chris Astor, Chris Astor
- 0:42Speaker 3: if you if it was like f Mary kill or
- 0:44Speaker 3: something like that, Yeah, yeah.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Said she said f because she didn't hit that, didn't
- 0:51Speaker 2: hit that. That's right, because it had never been the
- 0:54Speaker 2: same between man. Yeah, of course, how could it be
- 0:56Speaker 2: it was meant to be that you did not get
- 0:58Speaker 2: to fantasy.
- 0:59Speaker 3: I would agree.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Yeah, could you imagine if she like just came.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Over, Well, I don't think you guys would be as
- 1:04Speaker 3: close course, because you know it would be just like,
- 1:07Speaker 3: oh you know.
- 1:08Speaker 2: No, I can't do that.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't do it.
- 1:10Speaker 2: It's meant to be. But then she also said that
- 1:12Speaker 2: she would marry you, which is really great. If she
- 1:15Speaker 2: had to go back in time during her season, she'd
- 1:17Speaker 2: marry you.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, she always said I was her gay best
- 1:19Speaker 3: friend on the show, So you know what I mean.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It's good to know that now she would hit it.
- 1:23Speaker 3: You know, at the time, she wouldn't.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Already, So people would mess the messaged me last week
- 1:28Speaker 2: and they're like, Ashley, what'd you think about this? Oh
- 1:31Speaker 2: my god, I just gonna come after. I'm like, oh
- 1:33Speaker 2: my god, No, I think it's so flattering. That's why
- 1:36Speaker 2: I will always interpret that you say my husband's hot.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, thank you. I know. I
- 1:41Speaker 2: always think it's so nice. I don't get jealous at all.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I think it's a compliment. It's like, because he's mine.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Are you tired?
- 1:49Speaker 3: No, I'm just you know, got a busy day here.
- 1:52Speaker 3: We're doing headlines, baby, I don't know. Also, like, the
- 1:54Speaker 3: first headline I see is about Kate kat Kat kat Kat,
- 1:59Speaker 3: who allegedly snuck an iPad into Bachelor in Paradise to
- 2:03Speaker 3: message her secret boyfriend. First of all, she should get
- 2:06Speaker 3: praised for this, like Jared.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Is the most what's the word, Taron. But my point
- 2:13Speaker 2: is I was gonna say.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I mean, this is great stuff for TV, like this
- 2:17Speaker 3: is what we need.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Well it wasn't on TV, but great.
- 2:21Speaker 3: But you know what it adds to the fuel, you
- 2:23Speaker 3: know what I mean? And it gets people talking and
- 2:25Speaker 3: it's like you guys, you know you need this, you
- 2:28Speaker 3: want this. This is fantastic news.
- 2:30Speaker 2: So my sister snuck in her phone. She had an
- 2:34Speaker 2: old phone that she handed over to the producers and
- 2:37Speaker 2: they're like, phone please. This is during Bachelor in Paradise too,
- 2:41Speaker 2: and guess what, she forgot her charger. So she ended
- 2:45Speaker 2: up going to the executive producer and was like, listen,
- 2:49Speaker 2: I brought my phone in. I do not have a charger,
- 2:52Speaker 2: but I will not do this show unless you let
- 2:54Speaker 2: me have my phone so that I can talk to
- 2:56Speaker 2: the guy that I'm talking to at home. So it's
- 2:59Speaker 2: the exact Schens.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Yeah, but they made it known that she was a mistress, right,
- 3:02Speaker 3: Yeah she was.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, mistress is let's just continue to clarify. I know
- 3:07Speaker 2: it was ten years ago. She was the other woman whatever,
- 3:09Speaker 2: she was the other woman in a relationship, a dating relationship,
- 3:13Speaker 2: there was no marriage or even engagement.
- 3:15Speaker 3: All right, she's the other woman. Sorry woman, all right,
- 3:18Speaker 3: all right. So Alicia is alleging that after Alicia left
- 3:22Speaker 3: the show wish on, they had a conversation with Sewan's
- 3:24Speaker 3: best friend in Tampa, uh former home of Tom Brady,
- 3:28Speaker 3: who was apparently Kat's former boyfriend. Quote her boyfriend at
- 3:32Speaker 3: the time, He's like, you won't believe who ended up
- 3:35Speaker 3: screwing me over? He fills everybody in. She's been sending
- 3:39Speaker 3: him love letters since day one in Paradise. So Alicia
- 3:42Speaker 3: claimed that Kat has been sending her ex or personally
- 3:46Speaker 3: her current boyfriend seems like current current boyfriend secret letters
- 3:51Speaker 3: while she's been filming. Alicia goes on says she snuck
- 3:54Speaker 3: her iPad in. She was sending things to get to
- 3:57Speaker 3: him this like things like this will last you until
- 4:02Speaker 3: I get out of Paradise and like that's crazy, lots
- 4:05Speaker 3: of like. So apparently Nick shout out to Nick was unaware,
- 4:09Speaker 3: who just had James Gunn on his podcast? So cool. Anyway,
- 4:12Speaker 3: Nick says that he was unaware of the iPad claim,
- 4:15Speaker 3: but he did mention he was told about Kat's alleged
- 4:17Speaker 3: communication attempts with an offscreen boyfriend after bumping into a
- 4:21Speaker 3: friend who also had some things to say about Kat,
- 4:26Speaker 3: so Nick, in response to Alicia's accusation, said, I heard
- 4:30Speaker 3: Kat somehow wrote some messages on her arm for him,
- 4:34Speaker 3: like what what?
- 4:36Speaker 2: Wait what? Okay?
- 4:38Speaker 3: So anyway, so Kat apparently has an off screen boyfriend
- 4:41Speaker 3: that she.
- 4:42Speaker 2: She was communicating with while she was in relationship with Dale.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Take some balls to do this. I'll give her credit. Yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 3: what I mean, first of all, if you're the boyfriend.
- 4:53Speaker 2: There's been so many relationships like this where it's like, hey,
- 4:56Speaker 2: I'm going to go on TV for the you know,
- 5:00Speaker 2: well the from the opportunities of it all.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Yeah, but you know that like.
- 5:06Speaker 2: She's gonna kill everybody always. Oh yeah that So like
- 5:09Speaker 2: that's be a serious boyfriend. It's obviously like somebody that
- 5:12Speaker 2: you like, but you're not like really committed to.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:15Speaker 3: In these scenarios, I think that the boyfriend, unfortunately is
- 5:18Speaker 3: probably knows that he'll never do better than Kat. Well
- 5:21Speaker 3: that is a hot one, so he's probably like, yeah,
- 5:24Speaker 3: you know, it's poor guy, Like I'll put up with it.
- 5:26Speaker 3: I'll do it like you Yeah, you go off, you
- 5:28Speaker 3: do this thing, I'll be here waiting for you. It's like, damn,
- 5:31Speaker 3: then just break up with her. She's you know, it's
- 5:33Speaker 3: not worth it.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:34Speaker 3: So anyway, so but.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I do like Kat as a reality TV personality. She
- 5:38Speaker 2: is perfect, right, love it. Listen to your hearts. Jamie
- 5:44Speaker 2: Gabriel is engaged. You guys may remember Jamie from Wow.
- 5:49Speaker 2: It was COVID era. Jamie was so cute. I forget
- 5:52Speaker 2: who her partner was, but she's engaged now, so shout
- 5:56Speaker 2: out to her.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I forgot the show even, like, I feel terrible saying that,
- 6:01Speaker 3: but I've like you were pulling up the article and
- 6:04Speaker 3: I'm like, listen to your heart. Oh my god, that's right. Yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 3: there was like a music bachelor show.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I liked it. I enjoyed every minute of it.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I'm not saying it was bad.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Oh I know, but it was during COVID and it
- 6:16Speaker 2: was during a weird era.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Bad timing, poor timing.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Yeah, very poor timing. But it aired in September, I
- 6:22Speaker 2: mean April twenty twenty.
- 6:24Speaker 3: So I mean talk about in the thick at COVID exactly.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I think people weren't like even into I don't even know,
- 6:30Speaker 2: people were just watching the news at that point.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:32Speaker 3: I was it was every day. Yeah, like remember when
- 6:35Speaker 3: Cuomo would come out every day and like, you know,
- 6:36Speaker 3: it's about New York because New York was like the
- 6:38Speaker 3: epicenter and every day Culomo would come out and we'd
- 6:40Speaker 3: be like glued to the TV because it's like, what's
- 6:42Speaker 3: going on New York? Because it just felt like New
- 6:44Speaker 3: York was just at the heart. Anyway, we don't have
- 6:47Speaker 3: to revisit.
- 6:48Speaker 2: What they couldn't do promotion either. It was just a
- 6:50Speaker 2: weird time. It didn't make it emotion. It also seemed
- 6:53Speaker 2: like the previews were so corny. The commercials did not
- 6:57Speaker 2: have me. It was actually watching it that I said, oh,
- 7:00Speaker 2: this is actually pretty decent.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Any who, any one of them got engaged.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Jason Tarctic says moving on next headline, never say never
- 7:09Speaker 2: to being the next Bachelor, Okay, Jason, as if like.
- 7:13Speaker 3: As if you would say no, I love you, Jason,
- 7:15Speaker 3: but like, don't give me this. No, I'll never say never,
- 7:19Speaker 3: Like I'd have to think about it, dude. If Bachelor
- 7:21Speaker 3: asked Jason to be, If ABC was like, hey, Jason,
- 7:24Speaker 3: want to be a Bachelor, he would jump at the opportunity,
- 7:27Speaker 3: which I don't blame him, Like.
- 7:28Speaker 2: No, no, wanting to be the Bachelor. But let's not
- 7:31Speaker 2: pretend that like you'd have to contemplater.
- 7:34Speaker 3: No, yeah, of course, Like it's just just be like,
- 7:37Speaker 3: I would love to be the Bachelor. It would be
- 7:39Speaker 3: a great opportunity.
- 7:40Speaker 2: So cool, let's get into the quote. So he said
- 7:53Speaker 2: on the Playing the Field podcast. When it comes to
- 7:55Speaker 2: whether or not he do Reality TV again, possibly being
- 7:59Speaker 2: the Bachelor, he said he didn't. We wouldn't rule it out.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah, he wouldn't. You know, I'd have to think
- 8:04Speaker 3: about it. I'd have to comtemplate and I really have
- 8:07Speaker 3: to sit down, you know, you.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Know, put it on the scale the pluses and the minuses.
- 8:12Speaker 2: He said. I always say, like you never say never,
- 8:16Speaker 2: but I will say since I like don't know what,
- 8:21Speaker 2: what was it like two years ago, there may have
- 8:25Speaker 2: been five shows that approached me to go on, and
- 8:28Speaker 2: my desire to go on back on reality TV is
- 8:32Speaker 2: quite low right now. So never say never. But I'd
- 8:35Speaker 2: prefer if I was going back in for like a
- 8:37Speaker 2: competition show or something like that.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Well, of course, yeah, everybody, of course, he wants.
- 8:45Speaker 2: To do traders.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Everybody wants to do traders. Everybody wants to dancing to
- 8:48Speaker 3: the stars. Of course, it's a competition show. It's not
- 8:51Speaker 3: certainly not easy. But in terms of the.
- 8:53Speaker 2: You're not gonna look bad, well, you're you're not worried
- 8:56Speaker 2: about the game.
- 8:56Speaker 3: It's not something and having people criticize you for it.
- 9:00Speaker 3: It's more of just you know, he stuck at dancing
- 9:02Speaker 3: or up.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Oh and then when asked about the growing social media
- 9:07Speaker 2: buzz calling him to be the next Bachelor, he said
- 9:09Speaker 2: he didn't realize that that was a thing. He said,
- 9:12Speaker 2: that's news to me. Some people have sent me these
- 9:15Speaker 2: articles that are rumors, but yeah, I don't know where
- 9:18Speaker 2: that stuff comes from.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Well, this comes from who's going to be the next Bachelor.
- 9:22Speaker 2: And then his mom is making fun of him, saying,
- 9:24Speaker 2: you're thirty six, You're going to be like a golden Bachelor,
- 9:28Speaker 2: maybe a silver bachelor.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Oh well, good for mom. Thanks.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I still think thirty six is a good bachelor age.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Well, of course, of course, of course. I mean looking back,
- 9:39Speaker 3: we were far too young. Like Ben was twenty six
- 9:41Speaker 3: years old when he was the bachelor. Yeah, how stupid
- 9:44Speaker 3: is that?
- 9:44Speaker 2: Well, that's not stupid. To find your person at twenty
- 9:46Speaker 2: six is not like super young.
- 9:48Speaker 3: It's not super young, but I you and I have
- 9:51Speaker 3: perfect timelines.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Like in my opinion as far as like age goes,
- 9:55Speaker 2: you and I met each other at twenty seven and
- 9:57Speaker 2: then we got married at I was thirty one new
- 10:00Speaker 2: thirty yep.
- 10:01Speaker 3: So yeah, I think if I don't know, mid twenties
- 10:06Speaker 3: is pretty young to be the lead, to be.
- 10:08Speaker 2: The lead in the whole day.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's a hard one. Yeah, you know, not
- 10:12Speaker 3: that it can't happen. I mean I think Jojo was
- 10:13Speaker 3: twenty six, twenty seven, twenty five, I don't know, somewhere
- 10:16Speaker 3: around that age.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right to carry a show and to navigate
- 10:20Speaker 2: the experience of dating thirty people in size, and that's
- 10:22Speaker 2: different than like being in love with your person.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and then to really start dating after the show.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I mean we all talk about it. How of course
- 10:30Speaker 3: you form feelings on the show, but then when you leave,
- 10:32Speaker 3: that's when you truly start dating. And so yeah, that's
- 10:35Speaker 3: a tough world to navigate. So I do think like stepping,
- 10:40Speaker 3: if I'm looking at it from thirty thousand feet, Jason
- 10:43Speaker 3: would be a smart choice because he's a name, he's older,
- 10:46Speaker 3: he knows how to navigate this for a relationship. But
- 10:50Speaker 3: I don't know. I also just want something different, I
- 10:52Speaker 3: want something new, I.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Want I want to stunt casting exactly. It needs to
- 10:57Speaker 2: be a celebrity. I don't think it's gonna survive by
- 10:59Speaker 2: getting a random person because we have an inside source
- 11:02Speaker 2: that says that they are out in the world trying
- 11:04Speaker 2: to find the bachelor that they're not going to pick
- 11:06Speaker 2: from the selection that they have, which makes total sense
- 11:09Speaker 2: to me, because I don't think that there's a standout
- 11:12Speaker 2: and they need it to be like a C list celebrity,
- 11:15Speaker 2: a B list. You think that they can get B
- 11:17Speaker 2: list I think they can. You know they cannot. Who
- 11:19Speaker 2: would you consider a b less celebrity for them to get.
- 11:22Speaker 3: I don't know. I'd have to really think about this,
- 11:24Speaker 3: but I think that they could get someone who's a
- 11:26Speaker 3: pretty good name if they paid.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Well, look at this, Okay. One of our next headlines is.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Well, you're not going to get Austin Austin Butler.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Will you consider him him a list?
- 11:37Speaker 3: You don't think Austin Butler is an aless celebrity.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I mean, I love him, but I don't think that.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I don't know that, Like, he's not is he a
- 11:45Speaker 2: household name yet? Yeah?
- 11:47Speaker 3: Austin Butler is a household.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Okay, fine, I'm thinking let's think about like athletes.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Oh, athletes, they get they could get.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Yeah, because if they had at some point in.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Life, you'd have the problem with sports.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Had Travis Kelsey on E have his own dating rally
- 12:01Speaker 2: show on E.
- 12:02Speaker 3: But the problem with athletes is that you have to
- 12:06Speaker 3: because the Bachelor is such a lot of process. I mean,
- 12:08Speaker 3: you're talking about if you can retired athlete, but then
- 12:11Speaker 3: it's tough.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Okay, now we're talking too much about this. Just name
- 12:14Speaker 2: a B list athlete.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I can't think continue.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Okay, Well, speaking of Austin Butler, Katie Bigger and Zach
- 12:22Speaker 2: Shallcross they're married. Now, just letting you guys know if
- 12:25Speaker 2: you didn't know, they had drinks with Austin Butler. She
- 12:32Speaker 2: said that Zach and her recently got drinks with him
- 12:35Speaker 2: in an online video. In the video that the three
- 12:38Speaker 2: of them are seine chatting and they're also with filmmaker
- 12:41Speaker 2: filmmaker Darren How do you say this?
- 12:44Speaker 3: A wow?
- 12:45Speaker 2: Oh my god, Katie, I knew he would you think
- 12:49Speaker 2: that was a bigger deal.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Holy crap, that's a huge deal.
- 12:51Speaker 2: They're creating Martiniz behind a bar. Austin asked Katie and
- 12:55Speaker 2: Zach various questions like how they met and if they
- 12:58Speaker 2: knew that they would end up together. This had to
- 13:01Speaker 2: have been a brand deal, right, It had to have
- 13:04Speaker 2: been like a brand thing.
- 13:06Speaker 3: That's very yeah, but that is cool, yeah, very cool. Cool.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Another couple that has been all over social media this
- 13:17Speaker 2: week is Rodney Matthews and his new wife Ari. They
- 13:21Speaker 2: got massed. Congratulations they got married in Riverside, California. I
- 13:28Speaker 2: mean it feels like just yesterday Rodney was here, he
- 13:31Speaker 2: went and had an appearance at Audrey's. I guess it
- 13:33Speaker 2: was over. Was it over two years ago?
- 13:35Speaker 3: Or was it two years ago?
- 13:37Speaker 2: Two years ago? And now and he was a single
- 13:39Speaker 2: guy and now here he is married. Look at that.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Look how time flies and how life happened so fast
- 13:44Speaker 2: years is the nuts?
- 13:46Speaker 3: What the hell is.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Going on with So they did do a very intimate
- 13:51Speaker 2: ceremony and that was a couple of weeks ago where
- 13:54Speaker 2: they were like outside the courthouse and they show that
- 13:57Speaker 2: they were married. But now they did the actual wedding
- 13:59Speaker 2: surround by family and friends and a lot of bachelor alum.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I think Susie was there and Justin was there, and.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Well I saw Andrew.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Andrew was there, right, I think.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Andrew was there. Justin was there, he said, Susie was there. Yeah,
- 14:16Speaker 3: I think Michael was.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Michael was there. So that's a nice group. Yeah, they
- 14:21Speaker 2: were a great season group of people. Yeah, they're very enjoyable,
- 14:26Speaker 2: very good sold people. But were really happy for them.
- 14:30Speaker 2: And finally, Juliana, I can't I don't know if I
- 14:36Speaker 2: can still say Juliana's last name, you know, Grants Juliana
- 14:39Speaker 2: Justina Pascosa Pascarosa. She just did her first interview post breakup,
- 14:48Speaker 2: and she said that it made sense for both of
- 14:51Speaker 2: them to split. She said, it's so odd because I
- 14:54Speaker 2: think I was having so much inkst about the breakup
- 14:57Speaker 2: being announced because I felt oddly embarrassed. On my family's end,
- 15:02Speaker 2: we take marriage very seriously. Just before even filming, I
- 15:06Speaker 2: just had this goal that, like, I want to make
- 15:08Speaker 2: my family proud of who I am when they watch
- 15:10Speaker 2: it back. So that was really hard for me. She
- 15:13Speaker 2: said this on Jason's podcast Trading Secrets, and she said,
- 15:16Speaker 2: of course they didn't judge me and they didn't find
- 15:19Speaker 2: it embarrassing, but what that was what I struggled with
- 15:22Speaker 2: the most. I didn't really care what anybody else thought.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I was just like, I really hope my family's not
- 15:27Speaker 2: upset with me. And when he asked where they stand today,
- 15:31Speaker 2: Juliana said that she wishes him the best. I want
- 15:35Speaker 2: him to succeed. I will always support him. I think
- 15:37Speaker 2: he's a really great, genuine guy. And I can tell
- 15:40Speaker 2: that he's supporting me from afar and that's very nice.
- 15:43Speaker 2: She also said that she's getting back out there on
- 15:46Speaker 2: dating on the apps like Raya, Raya, Raya, whatever hell
