- 0:01Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for February 1st, 2026. A
- 0:06two-minute call from God's playbook to
- 0:08know him better so we can love and obey
- 0:10him more. Let's hear today's play from
- 0:12Mark 3 says, "Looking him over and
- 0:15feeling both anger with them and
- 0:17sympathy for them at the stoniness of
- 0:19their hearts, he said to the man, hold
- 0:21out your hand. As he held it out, it
- 0:23became restored." And then he said,
- 0:26"Whoever does what God wants is my
- 0:28brother, my sister, and my mother."
- 0:30Jesus feels anger and sympathy at the
- 0:33same time. Why? Because hardened hearts
- 0:36matter to God. God's anger is not a
- 0:38temper problem. It's holiness responding
- 0:41to rebellion. He is our creator. He's
- 0:43our sustainer, the lover of our souls.
- 0:46And when we ignore him, disobey him, or
- 0:48sideline him, God is has a right to be
- 0:51angry. Sin destroys what he loves. But
- 0:54Jesus is also grieved. He sees where
- 0:57hard hearts lead. Broken families,
- 0:59shame, fear, disease, isolation, and
- 1:03death. What we minimize, God mourns, not
- 1:06because he's weak, but because he knows
- 1:08the cost. And nowhere do anger and
- 1:10sympathy meet more clearly than at the
- 1:12cross. God's anger towards sin demanded
- 1:15judgment. Justice had to be satisfied.
- 1:18So the son, who lived in perfect
- 1:20obedience, was sacrificed. At the same
- 1:23time, God's sympathy moved him to become
- 1:25that sacrifice. Jesus absorbed the wrath
- 1:28so that rebels could be restored. And
- 1:31then Jesus draws a line that every man
- 1:33needs to hear. Whoever does what my God
- 1:36wants is my brother, sister, and mother.
- 1:39Not whoever knows the most Bible, not
- 1:41whoever claims faith the loudest, but
- 1:44whoever does the will of God. Obedience
- 1:47doesn't earn salvation, but it reveals
- 1:49our allegiance. Name the resistance.
- 1:52Where are you stiffarming God right now?
- 1:54Your priorities, your integrity, your
- 1:56leadership at home. Hold out your hand
- 1:58and bring the guarded, weakened part of
- 2:01your life into the open before Jesus. Do
- 2:04what God wants today. Not tomorrow. Not
- 2:07someday. Today. Jesus restores what we
- 2:10surrender, but he confronts what we
- 2:12protect. Run today's play. Soften your
- 2:15heart and obey God. That's how sons
- 2:18live. If this huddle helps you know God
- 2:20better so you can love and obey him
- 2:22more, share it with a friend and write a
- 2:24quick review so that other men can find
- 2:26their way into the huddle.
