Speaker 1: listen closely. This is the testimony of a believer. Before Christ,

Speaker 1: we were simply struggling with sin. We weren't simply struggling

Speaker 1: chains are broken, We're no longer bound to those things.

Speaker 1: We are free. And last time I checked, when you're

Speaker 1: free in Christ, you could walk with the chains broken. Amen.

Speaker 1: Now this is scary to a lot of people because

Speaker 1: they might be like thinking like I used to think

Speaker 1: when I first got saved, what if I mess up?

Speaker 1: What if I go back? Well, then the Lord will

Speaker 1: give you the weapons that you need to resist the devil,

Speaker 1: to resist your own evil, sinful desires. So first of all,

Speaker 1: we submit to God first and foremost. Then we resist

Speaker 1: the devil, and then the devil will flee. The Bible says,

Speaker 1: the chains are broken. You know what's weird. The devil

Speaker 1: knows we're free. He sees the seal of Holy Spirit

Speaker 1: on us. But depending on our surroundings, depending on the

Speaker 1: people we're hanging out with, depending on what we're looking at,

Speaker 1: what we're watching, what we're listening to, we are trying

Speaker 1: to convince ourselves that we are still bound in the

Speaker 1: same simple nature. The devil is a whole liar, right.

Speaker 1: He doesn't tell you or me the truth. He I

Speaker 1: don't even think the devil knows how to talk to truth.

Speaker 1: He's the father of lives. So real freedom is when

Speaker 1: the chains are gone. Even if the invitations remain, the

Speaker 1: invitation still remains for us to do what God doesn't

Speaker 1: want us to do. Haven't you noticed that every single

Speaker 1: day when you watched social media, when you watch TV,

Speaker 1: when you go to the movies, when you listen to music,

Speaker 1: there's always an invitation set there for us to sin,

Speaker 1: always an invitation for us to be discouraged always an

Speaker 1: invitation for depression, anxiety, suicide of thought. It's always an invitation.

Speaker 1: The devil never stops broadcasting his bad message. We as believers,

Speaker 1: we're not gonna stop broadcasting our gospel message. We're broadcasting.

Speaker 1: That word simply means spreading seeds. Broadcasting is a farming word,

Speaker 1: which means spreading seeds. We're spreading seeds of eternal life.

Speaker 1: And God's gonna wad those seeds, Amen, And we're gonna

Speaker 1: see the other side of those seeds grow, either our

Speaker 1: this side of eternity or on the next. People are

Speaker 1: gonna grab those seeds that we're spreading that have the

Speaker 1: eternal life, Amen, and they gonna plant those seeds in

Speaker 1: their hearts and their minds. God's gonna do the watering,

Speaker 1: and they're going to grow in Christ. So, before Christ,

Speaker 1: we were really struggling with sin. We were dominated by sin. Right.

Speaker 1: Sin wasn't just what you did, it was something that

Speaker 1: dominated you. Right. So, according to what we just read

Speaker 1: Ephesians chapter two, verses one and three, the Bible said

Speaker 1: we were dead in sin. I know we like to

Speaker 1: say the word of their living in sin. No one

Speaker 1: is living in sin. People are dying because of sin. Right.

Speaker 1: According to Ephesians two, one and three, we were following

Speaker 1: the world. It was it was just like that. We

Speaker 1: were following the world, did everything that the world offered, right,

Speaker 1: and because the world was offering it, we kind of

Speaker 1: We were of the world in those times. And man,

Speaker 1: by desires. But now in Christ, God has changed our desires.

Speaker 1: How did you notice that the same things that used

Speaker 1: to take us out right, that used to influence us

Speaker 1: to sin, sent us to sin, and we used to

Speaker 1: respond to those temptations. We have those desires changed now

Speaker 1: we got the desires now of God. And lastly, we

Speaker 1: were unable to resist because we were not submitted to God.

Speaker 1: So the resistance. Our resistance was like basically not existence.

Speaker 1: There was no resistance, Amen. We just went with the flow.

Speaker 1: And when we see our brothers and sisters in Christ

Speaker 1: struggling in those areas a man, people say, you can't judge,

Speaker 1: but we have to make righteous judgments or else how

Speaker 1: are we going to help our brothers and sisters Amen,

Speaker 1: in Christ if they don't know that they're going in

Speaker 1: the wrong direction. So I have to make a righteous

Speaker 1: judgment and say, hey, you might want to check what

Speaker 1: you're doing, a man, Can I pray for you? Let's

Speaker 1: talk this out, Amen. And I know it irritates people

Speaker 1: when the Man of God or the Woman of God

Speaker 1: come into your situation and point out some things that

Speaker 1: be in carnality. You might be thinking that you're living

Speaker 1: this old self when we have the new life in Christ.

Speaker 1: out of some situations that we know not supposed to

Speaker 1: frees us. Romans, chapter six, verse six. We know that

Speaker 1: So a lot of people right now are in total freedom,

Speaker 1: sitting in a prison with the door open. They're not

Speaker 1: realizing all they got to do is step through that door,

Speaker 1: step through that bar, step through those bars, step through

Speaker 1: that exit, Amen, and live free. But they're sitting. Somehow

Speaker 1: the enemy convinces people to stay where they are, sitting

Speaker 1: down looking at an open door and saying, I can't

Speaker 1: get through that. And if I get through that, what

Speaker 1: am I going to do on the other side. Well,

Speaker 1: we have faith. We walk by faith, not by sight.

Speaker 1: So when we walk through those doors, Amen. God will

Speaker 1: encourage us, inspire us, move us forward, power us to

Speaker 1: lead the results to the Lord. Walk by faith. The

Speaker 1: before Christ saved our lives. Temptation can still talk to us,

Speaker 1: scriptures of royal priesthood, right, we are sinners that used

Speaker 1: a sinner compared to a holy God. Yes, we're sinners,

Speaker 1: used to be anymore. We read Ephesians. What we just read,
