- 0:01To step into your creations, to step into your uniqueness,
- 0:05to step into your colors...
- 0:07that is how we really attract what we deeply truly desire.
- 0:20Hello and welcome to Remember Why You're Here,
- 0:23a podcast for seekers and sensitives where you can relax, receive,
- 0:28reconnect to yourself, and remember the most important thing:
- 0:32why you're here. My name is Asia Suler,
- 0:36Earth intuitive author, teacher,
- 0:39and this is your intuitive reading for March.
- 0:43So I was really excited about the idea with this new podcast of doing a
- 0:48monthly intuitive reading.
- 0:50I've been doing yearly intuitive readings for a long time,
- 0:54and this just seemed like such a great opportunity to step into this
- 0:58format of doing a monthly reading.
- 1:02So these monthly readings are going to at least start out with being
- 1:07a card pull.
- 1:09So I love the idea of pulling a card for us collectively for the month ahead so
- 1:14we can tune into what to expect and how to meet this month.
- 1:18So I asked that this card come through for all of us that are gathered
- 1:23here in this realm together, in this circle here together.
- 1:27And I'm excited for what came up for this march because it felt very
- 1:33accurate for me, really helpful and supportive,
- 1:36and I have a feeling it might feel that way for you too.
- 1:40So I pulled this card from the Herb Crafter's tarot by Latisha
- 1:44Guthrie, with artwork from Joanna Powell Colbert.
- 1:49And I was excited about doing this first
- 1:51pull from a deck with plants,
- 1:53because that's been so much of my life work up until this point,
- 1:58working with the plants.
- 1:59So I wanted a plant ally to come through for us this month, and one did.
- 2:04So our card for the month of March, 2025 is bee balm,
- 2:09which in this deck is called the Two of Fire,
- 2:13which is sort of how this deck conceives of the wands
- 2:17suit in tarot. So two of fire, bee balm.
- 2:22So in this deck, which I love,
- 2:24this fire suit is all about action and play.
- 2:28It's almost like you've gathered all the herbs from the earth and
- 2:33now it's time to make your potion. It's like bringing in that fire element,
- 2:38bringing in that sort of playful action.
- 2:41It's time to make some moves,
- 2:44and that's so much of what this card is about.
- 2:48So if you're not familiar with bee balm, this plant is also called monarda,
- 2:51or wild bergamot.
- 2:53It's sort of this wild-haired wildflower that
- 2:58blooms when you're sort of entering into
- 3:03the heat of summer.
- 3:04So it will be one of those herbs that you first see in it's just green state,
- 3:09vegetative state coming up pretty early in spring. And then around here,
- 3:14it's like by late June, early July,
- 3:16we're in full bloom with our bee balm.
- 3:20And there's different varieties of it. So you might have a lilac one,
- 3:23you might have a deep fuscia one, spotted ones.
- 3:28So there's many different varieties, species,
- 3:31of monarda.
- 3:33But I love bee balm as sort of this
- 3:36energizing, spicy, uplifting medicine.
- 3:40It is one of my favorite medicines to use as a steam herb if I'm dealing with
- 3:44any kind of lung gunk.
- 3:47I've actually had the experience sometimes of adding too much bee balm to steam,
- 3:52and having it be even too spicy for me to use.
- 3:55It's like that pungent and that aromatic,
- 3:58and it's just so enlivening to breathe in.
- 4:02It's a really important cold and flu herb.
- 4:04It can also be used as a antimicrobial, both as a wash on the body,
- 4:09but also internally. If you've eaten something really off,
- 4:14then bee balm tea can be really helpful for that.
- 4:16It's called bee balm because bees love this flower. So do butterflies,
- 4:21so do hummingbirds. So in my garden in the summertime,
- 4:24this flower is just this beacon, this mecca,
- 4:28this gathering place for all of these incredible pollinators:
- 4:33almost looks like it's bedecked with butterflies, especially here,
- 4:37but also the bees, and also the hummingbirds who come to visit.
- 4:41So it's really a beautiful plant to
- 4:46just be around, to witness.
- 4:48It's also one of my favorite plants to make pesto
- 4:52with. Very, very early in the spring, before it flowers and gets too spicy,
- 4:57you can actually clip some of the leaves and grind them up.
- 5:02I like to use garlic powder and curry and make this
- 5:06really almost like oregano-tasting pesto.
- 5:11It's so good. It's my favorite actually.
- 5:13Of all the pestos that one could make, bee balm pesto is my absolute favorite.
- 5:18So for me,
- 5:19this plant also has this deep association with-even though it has this bloom of
- 5:24summertime, like that's really when it's in its full flower-it has this
- 5:29initiatory aspect to it, of like, Oh, the first thought of spring is here.
- 5:34We're really getting underway in this new season, and this new growing season,
- 5:39and I'm able to now eat the first greens from the garden.
- 5:42I'm able to see the potential and the brightness of what is to come,
- 5:47and that's so much about what this card really stands for.
- 5:53So the image on this card is of these potted monarda, or balm,
- 5:58plants that have been started by seed that are getting ready to be transplanted
- 6:02into bigger pots.
- 6:04They're getting ready for this next step in their evolution and
- 6:08creation. And in the guide that comes along with this deck,
- 6:13Latisha Guthrie talks about this:
- 6:15this idea that now is the time for you
- 6:20to step with courage into your next creative leap.
- 6:24That there's this aspect here of trusting the
- 6:28playfulness, of following your desires,
- 6:31of moving into what comes next,
- 6:34of taking that next step.
- 6:37There's also this piece of this idea that we attract what we desire when we're
- 6:42bold, when we're fully authentically ourselves.
- 6:46And I just have this vision of the bee balm in my garden like vibrating
- 6:51with butterflies. And there's an invitation here to
- 6:56step into your creations, to step into your uniqueness,
- 7:00to step into your colors, your bold colors,
- 7:03and that that is how we really attract what we deeply, truly desire.
- 7:08With this card, what really felt prominent, for me and for us,
- 7:12moving into this month,
- 7:13is this invitation to take the next leap.
- 7:19I have found for myself, and I think this has been the case for a lot of us,
- 7:22that the winter so far has been sort of this
- 7:27pattern of moving forward, but not completely:
- 7:31still having a lot of plans on the back burner,
- 7:34creations on the back burner. And astrologically speaking,
- 7:37we've been in this time of Mars retrograde.
- 7:41Mars has been retrograde since the beginning of December,
- 7:44so we're just coming out of this big retrograde in cancer,
- 7:48which is not Mars's favorite sign.
- 7:51And so it's almost like this collective-wide release of like, Ah, okay.
- 7:55We can start moving forward again.
- 7:58But it's not going to be this movement forward,
- 8:01where we are leaping right away into the next big thing.
- 8:04It's more like transplanting our starts from their small pots to the bigger
- 8:09pots. And it's like, we can take that step now. We've been waiting for this.
- 8:13We've been doing all kinds of deep internal, emotional work,
- 8:17and now with this coming month of March,
- 8:20it's like we can take that next step of actually transplanting what we've been
- 8:25nurturing, the seeds we've been nurturing, into the next bigger pot.
- 8:30And in the traditional tarot deck, the corollary in a traditional tarot deck,
- 8:34would be the Two of Wands. And the Two of Wands card is all about
- 8:40expanding your horizons so you can meet the potential
- 8:45of what's to come. It's like the Ace of Wands sparks the idea,
- 8:49and the Two of Wands is you starting to make plans.
- 8:52You starting to make long-term plans and strategies,
- 8:56and do this internal work of actually opening up to the incredible
- 9:01possibilities that are awaiting you with this new start,
- 9:04this new seed that you've planted that has now bloomed and is now
- 9:09ready to be transplanted, to take it to the next step.
- 9:15There's really this piece here this month of will you
- 9:20stay with the thing, the pattern,
- 9:23the program that is familiar,
- 9:25or will you take the risk to try something new,
- 9:29to step into this new iteration? And like I was saying earlier,
- 9:33it doesn't feel like there's this requirement that we
- 9:38leap off the edge of anything. It's more like,
- 9:42will you take that next step,
- 9:45even if it's little... but will you take that next step,
- 9:49even though it does feel a little bit scary? Like this next step,
- 9:54although it might be small,
- 9:56has a bit of tingly tension,
- 10:01sort of excitement, to it... but trepidation, right? Because it's new.
- 10:05Whatever it is that you have been sort of dreaming
- 10:09into, holding onto, nurturing behind the scenes,
- 10:13it's almost like March is this time to take that step
- 10:17in either putting it out there or really coming up with a plan this
- 10:22month for how you're going to step into
- 10:27bringing your passions, bringing your creativity to life:
- 10:32that your passions, your creativity,
- 10:34your projects want your commitment in this way.
- 10:37So this feels very much like a commitment month,
- 10:40in this way in which I think things, come April,
- 10:44are going to start moving a lot more, a lot faster. I mean,
- 10:48even astrologically speaking, Mars is going to go into Leo.
- 10:51That's a lot more fire behind the things that we're doing.
- 10:55And so it's almost like, let's take this time in March...
- 10:57it's exactly what's happening for us here in our gardens, of like,
- 11:02Okay, we have the seeds, we're starting the seeds,
- 11:05and we're planning the garden for the year ahead.
- 11:08So whether or not you have a physical garden, it's almost like,
- 11:11this is the invitation now: it's like,
- 11:13plan for your creations in the year ahead.
- 11:18Give yourself permission to take that next step,
- 11:20even if it feels like a little bit scary,
- 11:23and to really reconnect to your passion and your vibrance.
- 11:28And there's almost this sense like you will have the ability to do that.
- 11:32It's okay if, the past few months, you're like,
- 11:34I don't even know where my passion and vibrance have been. Like don't know her.
- 11:39This month, it's like, Okay,
- 11:40I'm reconnecting to my passion and my vibrance again. I can feel it.
- 11:44I can feel it enough that I can start to envision,
- 11:47I can start to take these next steps. Because it's almost the sense of,
- 11:51this new creation has really been waiting to come through you,
- 11:55and waiting in part for you to have this kind of confidence and
- 11:59self-belief to start making that plan,
- 12:02to take that first next step.
- 12:06And because we got this plant that blooms sort of in high
- 12:10summertime,
- 12:12I'm really getting this feeling like whatever you are setting in
- 12:16motion this month, thinking about launching, planning,
- 12:21strategizing for,
- 12:22that there's some sort of element of it actually being something that will come
- 12:26to fruition, in one shape, way, or form this summer.
- 12:30That the turnaround for this isn't actually as long as maybe some other projects
- 12:35might be.
- 12:36And it might not be that you exactly come into the pinnacle of it
- 12:41this summer, but that there's almost a sense of speed with it.
- 12:45Like now that you're getting going. There will be a speed,
- 12:48and there's going to be something around the summer solstice,
- 12:50maybe a little bit after, where it's like, Okay, this is now...
- 12:54Like I'm seeing way further ahead now,
- 12:57for having taken this step now. So this card is making me excited about March.
- 13:02It's making me feel like things are going to happen, things are going to move,
- 13:07that we're going to be supported in moving stagnation,
- 13:09some of the stagnation we've been sitting with.
- 13:11A lot of different species of monorda have been
- 13:15used ceremonially, including in sweat lodges, here in Turtle Island.
- 13:20So there really is this sense with this plant of moving the spirit,
- 13:25moving inspiration,
- 13:27like when we've been in a stagnant place of getting that
- 13:31flow happening again.
- 13:33And I think we all really deeply need this right now.
- 13:37We need to feel the flow once more. And so I'm excited for March.
- 13:41It's almost like, yeah, the stream is starting to run again,
- 13:45or like a vernal spring is starting to run once more,
- 13:48and a lot more is becoming possible because of it.
- 13:52So thank you so much for tuning into this reading for this upcoming month
- 13:57of March, 2025.
- 14:00If you are liking this podcast so far, wherever you listen to podcasts,
- 14:04if you could give it a rating or a review,
- 14:07it would just be so delightful for me to read that and to connect with you in
- 14:12that way.
- 14:13It really just means so much and is giving this new
- 14:17venture so much support, so much wind beneath its wings. So thank you for that.
