Speaker 1: Christianese word that we use, intercession. Right, We're going to

Speaker 1: talk about what that means is it's really powerful, actually, Amen.

Speaker 1: know what interceding means. To talk about that today, Sister Joanne,

Speaker 1: so interceding, let me get to my notes before I

Speaker 1: mess things up. Amen, on the morning Devo. So just

Speaker 1: So intercession, listen to this. Intercession is not about changing

Speaker 1: God's mind. And I know a lot of people think, oh,

Speaker 1: let's let's go to God and see if he could

Speaker 1: change his mind. See we could change his mind about

Speaker 1: this situation, in that situation, about that person's life, or

Speaker 1: about salvation or healing and all that. We can't change

Speaker 1: God's mind. God's mind is unchangeable. Amen, He's the same,

Speaker 1: even remains the same. But intercession is not about changing

Speaker 1: God's mind or persuading him to act. Some people think

Speaker 1: if we pray enough, God will respond. He m. It's

Speaker 1: about trusting his perfect plan for those we are praying for,

Speaker 1: including ourselves. I'm gonna trust God's perfect plan over my

Speaker 1: life and over all the people that I'm praying for,

Speaker 1: over my marriage, our finances, our health, our children, our grandchildren, Amen,

Speaker 1: our friends, relatives. Trusting God's perfect plan over their lives

Speaker 1: while we're praying for them. That's interceding. We're praying on

Speaker 1: behalf of others. And at the same time, if we

Speaker 1: have a clear conscience and a clear mindset about who

Speaker 1: we are in the Lord, there should be no problem.

Speaker 1: Praying for others should not be a thing about. Let's

Speaker 1: try to persuade God. Let's try to make God move,

Speaker 1: Let's try to get God to respond. Let God, let's

Speaker 1: try to change God's minds. Not about that, It's about

Speaker 1: praying for others and trusting in God's perfect plan for

Speaker 1: I don't know when that day is coming, but amen,

Speaker 1: and God's clock it's soon his return and God's clock

Speaker 1: and his calendar is soon. That's why I'm saying things

Speaker 1: could pray for. That's a list that you will never

Speaker 1: pray for. Yeah right, there's always something to pray for,

Speaker 1: somebody to pray for. Over abouts life happens, and we're

Speaker 1: gonna keep on praying about everything that comes our way.

Speaker 1: us and giving us the opportunity to receive prayer requests,

Speaker 1: to receive others situations, and we could intercede now for

Speaker 1: them because we have the power of prayer available to us.

Speaker 1: To every single one of your children that called upon

Speaker 1: your name to be saved and rescued and redeemed and

Speaker 1: restored and born again. Thank you, Lord God, that when

Speaker 1: we pray, you hear our praise and you ask them

Speaker 1: according to every single individual situation that we're praying for

Speaker 1: today' Lo God, we're trusting your perfect will, your perfect

Speaker 1: plan over the lives of all those that we're praying for,

Speaker 1: but we do trust, and I do trust and that

Speaker 1: best for us, You know who is best for us

Speaker 1: and what is best for us in the situations that

Speaker 1: we find ourselves in, and that you sort all things

Speaker 1: Lord God, I trust your word. I thank you for

Speaker 1: your word, thank you for your salvation, thank you for

Speaker 1: rescuing and saving me. And I pray, Lord God for

Speaker 1: all those family members in my family and family members

Speaker 1: that are connected to every single person that's watching and

Speaker 1: listening right now, that you would guidegard and protect them

Speaker 1: as well. And as I intercede on behalf of my family,

Speaker 1: my marriage, our children, my grandchildren, every single person that's

Speaker 1: connected to us, I pray peace be still over their lives, health,

Speaker 1: strength and protection. And in Jesus name, and I dispatched

Speaker 1: and set forth ark Green Angels and minister Angels, Amen

Speaker 1: to their places of dwelling, places, to their job places,

Speaker 1: to their school, all by the power and the authority

Speaker 1: of the Lord Jesus Christ. So in Jesus name, I

Speaker 1: pray it is by faith, and all those who agree,

Speaker 1: and understand that God is powerful. He's almighty, he's all powerful,

Speaker 1: sovereign a man, He's in control. And ultimately, whatever comes

Speaker 1: our way, ultimately God has the last say. Amen. So

Speaker 1: interceding or praying on behalf of others is a beautiful

Speaker 1: expression of love and care. A beautiful expression of love

Speaker 1: and care. And when you love somebody, tell somebody the truth.

Speaker 1: You're not gonna lie to somebody you love. Right when

Speaker 1: you bring the truth to people that you love, they

Speaker 1: might get you like who do you think you are?

Speaker 1: And they might have an attitude brush you off, give

Speaker 1: you the cold shoulder, But you do it anyway because

Speaker 1: at the end of the day day, if you love

Speaker 1: somebody of telling the truth, man, you don't want people

Speaker 1: to go into different areas that you know that they're

Speaker 1: in danger. So you intercede, you pray, first, Amen, and

Speaker 1: then you approach pray. That's the way I do. I

Speaker 1: pray first and then I approached Amen. If you know

Speaker 1: me personally, you know I'm not into drama. You know

Speaker 1: I'm not into confrontation and all that stuff. That's not me.

Speaker 1: It's not my personality. That's who I used to be.

Speaker 1: That's why I'm so cautious of how I approach people. Amen.

Speaker 1: And because I know my old self was always green light.

Speaker 1: But my new me in Christ, because of His power,

Speaker 1: his Grayson's mercy, is developing to the person that you're

Speaker 1: seeing on the screen. Now. People think I was always

Speaker 1: like this and praise God because they don't know my

Speaker 1: past and I don't talk about it a lot. But

Speaker 1: everybody has a past. But when God comes into your life, Amen.

Speaker 1: And when you start interceding and praying for others, they

Speaker 1: look at you like why is he doing that? Or

Speaker 1: why is she doing that? But make sure you speak

Speaker 1: truth to people. And the truth that we have is

Speaker 1: not our truth, it's the gospel truth of the scriptures. Amen.

Speaker 1: That's just to encourage myself and to encourage other people

Speaker 1: that's listening and watching. So let me put this on

Speaker 1: the screen. So that way you can see what we're

Speaker 1: talking about interceding. I don't know that person on the screen, Amen.

Speaker 1: where I'm going with this. You know, people praying for others, Amen,

Speaker 1: and solitude. You don't have to be how you call it.

Speaker 1: You don't have to tell everybody, Hey, I'm praying for you.

Speaker 1: It'd be a nice thing for people to know that

Speaker 1: being prayed for. Depending on the situation, we gonna trust

Speaker 1: Gods will right, but depending on the situation. A lot

Speaker 1: of times, like ninety something percent of the time, I

Speaker 1: don't tell people I'm praying for them, but when they're

Speaker 1: down and out and they honestly need help, I come

Speaker 1: along side. Sometimes Listen, I'm praying for you, and I

Speaker 1: really am. And just in case they don't believe, I'll

Speaker 1: just pray for them right there in the spot. I

Speaker 1: intercede on their behalf. And then sometimes I don't know

Speaker 1: what to say, but then I allow Holy Spirit God

Speaker 1: to do the prayer anyway. Romans Chapter eight, twenty six

Speaker 1: and twenty seven. The Bible says, in the same way,

Speaker 1: the Spirit comes to us and helps us in our weakness. Amen.

Speaker 1: all myself all about all my weaknesses. Amen. So if

Speaker 1: you really want to know where, you know, where does

Speaker 1: he go wrong? What's his weakness? I really put it

Speaker 1: out there, Amen, because then at the time that I

Speaker 1: was putting it out there, I was acknowledging that when

Speaker 1: I'm weak, God is strong, Amen. And my weakness is

Speaker 1: when God shows his strength. We do not know what

Speaker 1: prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should.

Speaker 1: How many people's been there. I'm raising my hand. You

Speaker 1: can't see me, but I'm raising my hand. I know

Speaker 1: that I've been there. What do I pray for? Lord?

Speaker 1: But the Spirit himself knows our need, and at the

Speaker 1: right time interceedes on our behalf with size and groanings

Speaker 1: too deep for words. And he who searches the hearts

Speaker 1: knows what the mind of the spirit is. Because the

Speaker 1: Spirit intercedes before God on behalf of God's people in

Speaker 1: accordance with God's will. And you could cross reference to

Speaker 1: this scripture to Psalm one point thirty nine, verses one

Speaker 1: and two. Powerful Man, the Spirit comes to us and

Speaker 1: helps us in our weakness you ever been in a

Speaker 1: situation where you know you gotta pray, but you just

Speaker 1: don't know how to start, You don't know how to pray. Well,

Speaker 1: thank God for Holy Spirit. Amen, Thank you Holy Spirit

Speaker 1: for knowing our spirit and for knowing our mind, and

Speaker 1: for interceding on our behalf, because you know what we need.

Speaker 1: You know how to pray, and sometimes not even with words,

Speaker 1: sometimes but size and groanings. The other day, while I

Speaker 1: was in service the men, they had an alter call,

Speaker 1: and we usually do a gender friendly it's a male,

Speaker 1: another male will pray for the male. If it's a

Speaker 1: female and the female, we usually do it like that,

Speaker 1: depending on the number of people go to alter. And

Speaker 1: I promise you I went up to a couple of people,

Speaker 1: just put my hands on their shoulders, a couple of men,

Speaker 1: and I didn't know what to pray, So I just

Speaker 1: relied on the Holy Spirit God to speak. I relied

Speaker 1: on the Holy Spirit God to do the size and

Speaker 1: the groaning, and rely on Holy Spirit just by the

Speaker 1: touch to transfer the power and the love and the

Speaker 1: grace to these men. Sometimes you don't have to use words.

Speaker 1: Holy Spirit knows their heart. Holy Spirit knows the situation,

Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. God knows everything they are going through.

Speaker 1: So sometimes we since we are finite, we have to

Speaker 1: trust that infinite God who knows every heart that's in

Speaker 1: the place, and rely on that and trust God will

Speaker 1: meet them at their need. Amen. Sometimes it happens you

Speaker 1: don't know what to pray, you don't know what to do,

Speaker 1: you don't know what to say, And that's when we

Speaker 1: have the power of Holy Spirit and that we'll intercede

Speaker 1: on our behalf. It's about bringing the needs and concerns

Speaker 1: of others before God right, trusting in His goodness and

Speaker 1: power to work in their lives. And you've notice that

Speaker 1: when you pray for others and you see the power

Speaker 1: of God and you sense his presence and you know

Speaker 1: that he's inside of you by way of Holy Spirit.

Speaker 1: You pray for others and you trust His goodness and

Speaker 1: power in others' lives, that goodness and power will show

Speaker 1: up in your life. It's just the way it is

Speaker 1: the economy of the Kingdom of God. Praying for others,

Speaker 1: A man blesses you as well because you're praying to

Speaker 1: the right, living, holy, righteous, loving God. Man. Well God

Speaker 1: makes intercession for us when we don't know what to say.

Speaker 1: And that's a promise and that's a guarantee, and that

Speaker 1: is true. Amen. I know that going up to strangers

Speaker 1: sometimes and praying according to how Holy Spirit wants you

Speaker 1: to pray is trusting in God's purpose and plan for

Speaker 1: that person, trusting that He will give them the right word,

Speaker 1: trusting that He knows all about them, even if I

Speaker 1: don't know anything about them, Amen, Holy Spirit God. So

Speaker 1: number one, have confidence in prayer. Be confident in your

Speaker 1: prayer life. Amen. If you don't have a prayer life

Speaker 1: and you're born again, God will show you how to pray.

Speaker 1: Holy Spirit will help you to pray, Amen, even if

Speaker 1: you don't have the words to say. I've been in

Speaker 1: prayer circles that are like wow, those prayers, Like some

Speaker 1: people really pray, and you could tell that they pray

Speaker 1: often and a lot, and they use good words and

Speaker 1: flowery words and stuffing like it's not that they're trying

Speaker 1: to impress it. That's just to who they are. And

Speaker 1: when I was a young Christian, I used to be

Speaker 1: intimidated by that. And then he used to stop me

Speaker 1: from speaking, But I got over that real quick because

Speaker 1: I'm like, wait a minute, this is a conversation between

Speaker 1: us and God. We don't have to try to outsmart

Speaker 1: guard God with these words that we have to use

Speaker 1: a dictionary for. We be who we are. I am

Speaker 1: who I am, You are who you are. Speak to

Speaker 1: God like if he's your best friend, because he is,

Speaker 1: Like if he's your father, because he is. Like he's

Speaker 1: your savior because he is a man, And he's your

Speaker 1: protector because he is, because he's everything good in your life,

Speaker 1: because he is. Speak to him, Amen. And the way

Speaker 1: you speak to him, and the way you reverence him,

Speaker 1: you respect him, you love him. Amen. It'll come out

Speaker 1: naturally as a prayer to your Father, the Father, your

Speaker 1: father in Heaven. Amen. So have confidence in prayer. As believers,

Speaker 1: we have the privilege of approaching God with confidence because

Speaker 1: of our union with Jesus Christ and Hebrews four sixteen.

Speaker 1: We come to God boldly, to his throneom with grace.

Speaker 1: We can intercede for others, knowing that God hears us

Speaker 1: and cares deeply for the people that we're praying for.

Speaker 1: So if we're concerned with people. How much more is

Speaker 1: God concerned with those very sane people. That's why I

Speaker 1: believe Jesus said, pray for your enemies. Amen, don't curse

Speaker 1: the enemies. Pray for them. Why because God cares for them,

Speaker 1: and he cares for them deeper than we do. Amen,

Speaker 1: deeper than we do. Am I getting some agreement here

Speaker 1: in spirit and in truth. Amen. We can't fool God.

Speaker 1: But Holy Spirit knows exactly what he's doing. And when

Speaker 1: it's a win situation. No one loses when you're interceding

Speaker 1: for somebody else. Amen. As a matter of fact, nobody

Speaker 1: would know. Most of the time I'm praying for people.

Speaker 1: They don't even know I'm praying for them. Amen. I

Speaker 1: pray for my family daily. Listen, that's a fact. I

Speaker 1: pray for my whole family daily, pray for my wife daily,

Speaker 1: pray for my children daily. They don't know. Amen. They

Speaker 1: know now if they watching or if they listen. But

Speaker 1: I have to because I know there's always something to

Speaker 1: pray for. I know that there's danger. Every time we

Speaker 1: leave controlled environments, there's danger lurking, there's danger out there.

Speaker 1: We have an enemy that's roaring like a lion, and

Speaker 1: if we're making choices that could tempt us and to

Speaker 1: lead us astray. Amen. I pray against those things, and

Speaker 1: I pray over those things. And I'm sure that I'm

Speaker 1: praying to the right God that have confidence and prayer. Amen,

Speaker 1: And you'll see the fruit of that eventually. Now, Well says,

Speaker 1: confident and assured that God is able to do abundantly

Speaker 1: above all that we can think or act. Ephesians Chapter three,
