- 1:20Speaker 3: This is a podcast called twenty five.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Wist So stuck in football and they are well whistle
- 1:26Speaker 4: So yeah, it's too bad, But what did you expect.
- 1:30Speaker 4: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles twenty line.
- 1:36Speaker 1: We have no whistle because we're in a hotel room
- 1:39Speaker 1: and if we whistle, we'll probably get kicked out of
- 1:41Speaker 1: the hotel room.
- 1:42Speaker 3: But this is twenty five bus here we go.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Not bad, huh, pretty good bad.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I'm currently laying in the bed. I can't see Eddie
- 1:52Speaker 3: or Kevin. No, you're looking up at the ceiling.
- 1:54Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. I can't see you, guys. You're
- 1:56Speaker 1: laying in the bed. This is Eddie City, San Francisco, dude.
- 1:59Speaker 3: I love this city.
- 2:01Speaker 6: I haven't been here since I was probably fourteen years old.
- 2:05Speaker 3: My family we took a trip. We flew to No No, No.
- 2:09Speaker 6: We took a train from San Antonio to La a
- 2:13Speaker 6: a train an Amtrak.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Wow, it was a long way, dude, it was awesome.
- 2:17Speaker 3: That sounds My dream is to go on a train
- 2:20Speaker 3: where you sleep. It was so freaking cool. Did you
- 2:22Speaker 3: get to sleep on the train?
- 2:23Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 2:23Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we had like a little room. Dude, that's awesome.
- 2:26Speaker 3: And then we got to LA and then we rented
- 2:28Speaker 3: a car in LA.
- 2:28Speaker 6: I think we spent like two days in LA and
- 2:30Speaker 6: then drove the coast all the way to San Francisco.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Is that core memory for you? Core which which.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Now is a parent I'm like, dude, I'm almost tempted
- 2:39Speaker 6: to just take away Crystmas presents and just do trips, cause, like, well, trips.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Are such good memories.
- 2:46Speaker 1: You know what a core memory would be though, not
- 2:47Speaker 1: getting Christmas presents in a bad way. Yeah, I think
- 2:50Speaker 1: that would also not be so yeah, I know, I
- 2:54Speaker 1: understand what you're saying, Like, the value of those trips
- 2:56Speaker 1: to you.
- 2:56Speaker 3: As you're older means so much more than those gifts.
- 2:59Speaker 3: You don't forget those memories. It's like micro versus macro.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Because as a kid, if you didn't get Christmas presents
- 3:04Speaker 1: for that day in that week, it felt like this sucks.
- 3:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:06Speaker 6: But but but what this trip is reminded me of
- 3:09Speaker 6: is like, I want to bring the family here now
- 3:10Speaker 6: to San Francisco.
- 3:11Speaker 3: We're just going on trip San Francisco. This place is awesome.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Do you hear the bacon here? Dude, that's the child
- 3:17Speaker 3: think of RISERNI. Yes, San Francisco Tree.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I have been out here once in the last few years,
- 3:25Speaker 1: twice in the past five or six years. Oakland doesn't count. No, no, no, no,
- 3:29Speaker 1: that's on the other side of the bridge. Yeah, I've
- 3:30Speaker 1: been to Oakland. We flew into Oakland last night. It's
- 3:33Speaker 1: just hard to get a place to the airport to
- 3:35Speaker 1: fly to. When you come into the super Bowl, you've
- 3:37Speaker 1: been harder to fly.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So we're here for the super Bowl obviously, but we're
- 3:40Speaker 1: not staying for the game. So most people want to
- 3:42Speaker 1: say I'm going to San Francisco for the Super Bowl.
- 3:43Speaker 1: They're like, oh cool, and you just leave it there though,
- 3:45Speaker 1: don't don't you.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Know what else?
- 3:46Speaker 1: Then I have to talk about the game, and I'm like,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm not really going to the game. We came out
- 3:51Speaker 1: for the days of do interviews? Are you going to
- 3:53Speaker 1: hear some of them? But Eddie just goes on and
- 3:55Speaker 1: on how he loves the city so much.
- 3:57Speaker 6: There's so many things, like it almost feels like New
- 3:59Speaker 6: York City, like with all the buildings and the foot traffic,
- 4:03Speaker 6: but at the same time, like you're right by the ocean.
- 4:05Speaker 3: The hills are there.
- 4:07Speaker 1: There'd be terrible brutal If we had more time, I'd
- 4:09Speaker 1: want to go on Alcatraz tour.
- 4:10Speaker 3: And I don't do tours, Maan, I don't.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm not a guy who doesn't do tours, but I
- 4:15Speaker 1: usually don't find time to go do a tour.
- 4:17Speaker 3: But it's super cool. I've been buy it on a
- 4:19Speaker 3: boat before.
- 4:20Speaker 6: So when you were shooting Breaking Bobby Bones, you went
- 4:23Speaker 6: by like pretty close.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Yeah, you have to go buy it to get the
- 4:26Speaker 3: way we went. It's super It is neat. I thought
- 4:28Speaker 3: I could swim it, honestly because it didn't look that far.
- 4:31Speaker 1: But I think part of part of the problem with
- 4:33Speaker 1: it is the currents and the cold. They say sharks too, okay,
- 4:39Speaker 1: but I think mostly it's the current and the cold.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Like I wonder if I asked chat GBT, but I
- 4:45Speaker 1: thought just by looking at it, I could swim it.
- 4:48Speaker 1: But I really couldn't tell about the currents of the cold. Yeah,
- 4:50Speaker 1: but it was cool. I'd like to go take a
- 4:51Speaker 1: boat over there and walk around.
- 4:53Speaker 3: So do you think those guys made it?
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yeah, if it didn't get eaten by a shark, right,
- 4:57Speaker 1: mm hmm. I mean ask chat GBT here, But that
- 5:00Speaker 1: would be fun to do. We just walked up the
- 5:02Speaker 1: hills and I thought Brandon and Kevin were gonna die.
- 5:05Speaker 3: You guys had bags, heavy bags.
- 5:07Speaker 8: Yeah, that was brutal.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Brandon's still not okay.
- 5:09Speaker 8: Brandon's yep, he's shaking his head. I got cherry red.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Hey, why is it that people can't get off of
- 5:19Speaker 1: Alcatraz if they try to swim?
- 5:21Speaker 3: What are the elements that keep them from doing it?
- 5:24Speaker 9: Well, Alcatraz is smack in the middle of Chili San
- 5:26Speaker 9: Francisco Bay, So first off, the water temperature can get
- 5:30Speaker 9: really cold, often in the low fifties fahrenheit. That's no
- 5:34Speaker 9: joe for hypothermia risk. Then you've got the notorious currents,
- 5:37Speaker 9: which are strong and can pull you away from your destination.
- 5:40Speaker 9: Add on the fact that it's a long swim over
- 5:43Speaker 9: a mile, and historically it was heavily patrolled, making escape
- 5:46Speaker 9: nearly impossible. So it's basically a combo of cold water,
- 5:51Speaker 9: tricky tides, and sheer distance.
- 5:53Speaker 3: One of my friends keep saying, sharks. Is there anything
- 5:56Speaker 3: to that.
- 5:58Speaker 9: There are indeed sharks in the bay, but they're mostly
- 6:00Speaker 9: smaller bottom dwellers, the big scary Hollywood tyke great whites
- 6:05Speaker 9: prefer the open ocean, so the threat of a shark
- 6:07Speaker 9: attack near Alcatraz is more myth than reality. In other words,
- 6:11Speaker 9: sharks aren't what's keeping folks from escaping.
- 6:13Speaker 3: It's the cold and currents doing most of the work.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Got it, Yeah, loud and clear. I believe you that
- 6:19Speaker 3: I should stop saying that, though.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You were convincing me because I said, I think it's
- 6:22Speaker 1: the cold water and the currents, and you're like sharks, like,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you know what.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Maybe you're wrong on that one.
- 6:26Speaker 8: I saw a movie one time there were sharks in Alcatraz.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Yeah, actress.
- 6:32Speaker 1: We then were going to a really good looking seafood place.
- 6:35Speaker 1: The food looks so good on it, and we're all
- 6:37Speaker 1: in there. We just finished some interviews which you'll hear
- 6:39Speaker 1: some of them a minute, and manly good. They have lobsterolls.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I love lobster rolls. I asked the guy. I said, Hey,
- 6:44Speaker 1: what can I get that doesn't have any dairy because
- 6:45Speaker 1: it can't have dairy at all. And he goes nothing,
- 6:48Speaker 1: and I said, all right, they'll do it for me
- 6:50Speaker 1: because everything has butter everything. That's what makes it so good. Yes,
- 6:53Speaker 1: And so I tell you guys, you guys can need here.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'll go find something else.
- 6:56Speaker 3: We're not doing that. And then I made everybody leave.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Did you did not together? You guys You're like, you
- 7:01Speaker 3: guys eat and we're like, no, we're not doing it.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Looks so good, we're going to go back so fresh.
- 7:07Speaker 1: But the trick that people could do here is you
- 7:10Speaker 1: could have a restaurant and then just get some starkist
- 7:12Speaker 1: tuna out and if you're near the ocean, convinced.
- 7:14Speaker 3: People that it tastes good and fresh for sure. Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 3: that got subway in trouble. Dude, can't do that. Remember,
- 7:20Speaker 3: it wasn't They weren't saying it was fresh.
- 7:23Speaker 1: There was.
- 7:23Speaker 3: They were saying it was tuna and it was Yeah,
- 7:25Speaker 3: it just wasn't tuna at all.
- 7:26Speaker 8: I forgot about that.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Yeah, So that's where we are in San Francisco.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Walked up the hills, had a burger at a country bar.
- 7:35Speaker 1: It was like a small country I mean it really
- 7:37Speaker 1: and I don't use this term because it's not accurate today,
- 7:40Speaker 1: but it felt like a very country and western bar
- 7:42Speaker 1: like like from the seventies. Yeah, old school, and it
- 7:45Speaker 1: looked like it had been.
- 7:45Speaker 3: There one hundred years. And so we were talking to
- 7:48Speaker 3: the server and she was like, no, but over four
- 7:50Speaker 3: weeks could So we did that.
- 7:55Speaker 1: And I wish Eddie that you and your kids watched wrestling.
- 7:59Speaker 1: You're prime to love wrestling, and you guys think.
- 8:01Speaker 6: So, Yeah, I told you I did take my I
- 8:03Speaker 6: took my kids to a wrestling match five or six
- 8:07Speaker 6: years ago in Nashville, and uh, they were like, they
- 8:11Speaker 6: weren't into it.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's not really about going. If you're not
- 8:14Speaker 1: into it, you have to be into it before you go,
- 8:16Speaker 1: because it's so much storyline based. Not be there and
- 8:20Speaker 1: watch the people in person.
- 8:22Speaker 3: If you follow the stories, it's cooler to be there
- 8:24Speaker 3: while the stories are developing. It's all storyline. It's all
- 8:27Speaker 3: character development, all storyline. You know, when I watched Royal
- 8:31Speaker 3: Rumble with my wife and I told you, guys, whenever
- 8:35Speaker 3: Alligatorman or.
- 8:37Speaker 1: No, like she's when the stupidest thing happened, she started
- 8:42Speaker 1: watching with me It really is great, and I think
- 8:47Speaker 1: you and all your boys love it.
- 8:48Speaker 3: But to get in now, I don't know, man, Well,
- 8:51Speaker 3: they're still young, so this would be like new to them,
- 8:53Speaker 3: like completely new to them. Yeah, but you can't really
- 8:56Speaker 3: teach them because you haven't been watching. I don't know anything.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I know. We're gonna play an interview with Seth Rollins,
- 9:02Speaker 1: so I give you a little background on Seth Rowllins
- 9:05Speaker 1: what just happened? And if you watch the show Unreal
- 9:07Speaker 1: on Netflix, which I love that show, it's behind the
- 9:09Speaker 1: scenes and he talks about it right on the interview, Yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 1: where he's like he didn't feel super comfortable sharing behind.
- 9:14Speaker 3: This background stuffyep.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yeah, because he's a old school wrestler and he's probably
- 9:18Speaker 1: would you look up or yeah, his age he's probably
- 9:21Speaker 1: I guess, like thirty seven or thirty eight, so he
- 9:23Speaker 1: still has a little bit of that old school as
- 9:26Speaker 1: far as when he came up. And so Unreal is awesome.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I love it because I'm thirty nine. I know it's
- 9:32Speaker 1: all a story and fake is not really the word.
- 9:38Speaker 1: If you say, stuntman, what they're doing is fake, then okay.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that's just based on you thought it was real
- 9:42Speaker 3: at one point.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you thought the anger of the fight was real. Yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 1: but what they're doing is so extremely athletic and risky
- 9:51Speaker 1: in the ring. There's this one girl named sal Ruka.
- 9:55Speaker 1: If you watched her, you'd be nervous the whole time
- 9:57Speaker 1: that she's gonna break her neck every time she did
- 9:59Speaker 1: what she flip all she was she did something like
- 10:02Speaker 1: tumbling or Jim gymnasting Oregon.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Oh, it's wild. So we're talking to Seth Rowlins. So
- 10:08Speaker 3: this is what happened last year.
- 10:11Speaker 1: He did a match and he's the guy that you
- 10:14Speaker 1: talked to, is probably one of the five biggest wrestlers.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Yeah, he's probably top.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Five or six in ww men. He got into a
- 10:23Speaker 1: match and he hurt his knee like you saw him
- 10:25Speaker 1: in the ring legitimately, or spripped it and grabbed it
- 10:27Speaker 1: and doctors came out and then he was out and
- 10:30Speaker 1: so well people were like following him with camera to
- 10:33Speaker 1: try to prove it was fake. But he was on
- 10:35Speaker 1: crutches and he was in a knee brace for two
- 10:38Speaker 1: months or so, and it was all seem punk is
- 10:41Speaker 1: like his rival, So then what happens that I think
- 10:47Speaker 1: it was probably Summer Slam or whatever the event was.
- 10:52Speaker 1: He Ceth Rowllins comes out, he's going to cash in
- 10:54Speaker 1: the money in the bank, which means he won a
- 10:55Speaker 1: match that he can try to win a championship at
- 10:57Speaker 1: any point. But he had the crutches on and he
- 11:00Speaker 1: drops the crutches and throws a knee brace off.
- 11:02Speaker 3: And it was all fake.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Like for months, he wouldn't even go out in public
- 11:07Speaker 1: because he needed the public to believe that.
- 11:08Speaker 3: The other wrestlers believed that. There was only a small
- 11:11Speaker 3: group of people, and they talk about it on the show,
- 11:13Speaker 3: like they had to tell the medical staff because they
- 11:14Speaker 3: would have.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Stopped the match immediately. So they had a very select
- 11:18Speaker 1: few people that they told. Some of the wrestlers by
- 11:22Speaker 1: the time the event happened figured it out. But it
- 11:24Speaker 1: was really cool because everybody believed it and nobody believes anything.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Everything's you know, a work. Yeah, So he comes out,
- 11:33Speaker 1: Sampunk wins the title for the first time, big deal.
- 11:35Speaker 3: He just finishes the match.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Seth Rowlins comes out, cashes it and beats him immediately
- 11:40Speaker 1: because Seampunk just got he won. But it was a
- 11:42Speaker 1: brutal match and it's all and unreal, all of them
- 11:48Speaker 1: telling him what the storyline is. His wife is in it.
- 11:51Speaker 1: She's my favorite female wrestler, and she was kind of
- 11:54Speaker 1: pissed because she had to keep up with a lie.
- 11:56Speaker 3: He could just ignore everybody but everybody at school or like,
- 12:00Speaker 3: how Seth? How Seth? And she's like, I'm a terrible liar.
- 12:03Speaker 8: That's hard, Yeah, gonna live like everyday life was a lie. Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 8: a major lie.
- 12:08Speaker 3: For forty five sixty days or something.
- 12:10Speaker 7: Wow.
- 12:11Speaker 1: So we're talking to him here, and that's probably why
- 12:14Speaker 1: I didn't watch the show, because a very integral part
- 12:19Speaker 1: of the year was that fake storyline and he doesn't
- 12:22Speaker 1: like sharing the storyline.
- 12:24Speaker 3: And then Eddie was smart.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Enough to go, oh yeah, he was commentating alex Honold's
- 12:28Speaker 1: building climb, which I would have never thought of that.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Yeah. I was just like, how do you do a headlock?
- 12:33Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 12:34Speaker 3: Well you were like, hey, you have any questions for him?
- 12:35Speaker 3: Like I have nothing, Like I don't watch what you
- 12:38Speaker 3: what you hear is.
- 12:39Speaker 1: It actually was probably the most entertaining part of the
- 12:41Speaker 1: interview because we got to.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Hear all about that. Yeah, that was cool. So here
- 12:44Speaker 3: we go. This is us talking to Seth Rawlins here
- 12:47Speaker 3: at the Super Bowl. Here you go enjoy seth.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Good to see you man, Good to see you.
- 12:51Speaker 7: Guys.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Are you like a red light therapy guy? Sauna?
- 12:54Speaker 10: Guy?
- 12:55Speaker 11: Sauna guy?
- 12:55Speaker 12: A lot of sauna?
- 12:56Speaker 1: Like i' met. What do you do after a match?
- 12:59Speaker 1: After a mattch you ice? Do you jump in an
- 13:01Speaker 1: ice bath?
- 13:01Speaker 12: No, we don't have any.
- 13:02Speaker 11: Of those facilities.
- 13:04Speaker 13: We're in different buildings every single week. They don't have
- 13:07Speaker 13: like a we don't own the building, so like.
- 13:08Speaker 1: A pordable like touring artists tour with nothing. No, what
- 13:12Speaker 1: do you have a We just bought a red light
- 13:14Speaker 1: therapy bed, one of the ones you get in.
- 13:16Speaker 12: Yeah, and like a tanning bed, but it's a red light.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's aggressive, it's yeah. My wife loves it, believes
- 13:22Speaker 1: in it. You use anything like that.
- 13:25Speaker 13: No, my wife also loves it, believes and she's got
- 13:27Speaker 13: like a red light everything like literally anything that you
- 13:30Speaker 13: can read. You got this wand thing that she's like
- 13:32Speaker 13: red light in her face with I am a jury's
- 13:35Speaker 13: out for me on the red light.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Same with me.
- 13:37Speaker 13: Sauna, however, like a dry traditional sauna, slap it at
- 13:41Speaker 13: one hundred and eighty five fifteen minutes like sweat it out.
- 13:44Speaker 13: Proven results for longevity It's.
- 13:46Speaker 1: One of the hardest things on the road finding somewhere
- 13:48Speaker 1: to actually get a workout in when you're bouncing around.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Do they have those built at every place?
- 13:52Speaker 12: Like a No, they don't have gyms built in. But
- 13:54Speaker 12: that's not too bad. Honestly.
- 13:55Speaker 13: It was probably harder in the beginning, but once you
- 13:57Speaker 13: go back to the same towns over and over, then
- 13:59Speaker 13: you just like, you know, pop it in the GPS.
- 14:02Speaker 12: Or whatever and the Google Maps and you're there.
- 14:04Speaker 1: You know, it's like touring because there are a lot
- 14:05Speaker 1: of places when I would do stand up to be like, man,
- 14:07Speaker 1: wasn't that city great? It's like, dude, I want in
- 14:09Speaker 1: the back of the building.
- 14:09Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 14:10Speaker 12: Yeah, you don't see much.
- 14:11Speaker 13: You don't see much, honestly, you see like like, for example,
- 14:14Speaker 13: I was just in Taipei for Skyscraper Live for Netflix,
- 14:17Speaker 13: and I spent three or four days there, and I
- 14:19Speaker 13: had been to Taypey previously in twenty fifteen for a show.
- 14:24Speaker 13: I remember nothing about the city, not a sid I
- 14:27Speaker 13: didn't remember what it looked like like the skyline with
- 14:29Speaker 13: a type one on one, which is what Alex Hanald climbed.
- 14:32Speaker 13: I don't even remember that building. You know what I
- 14:34Speaker 13: mean like, I so, yes, I understand that pain.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Dude, you all did a great job on covering that.
- 14:38Speaker 7: I thought.
- 14:39Speaker 6: You know, just because you're watching just a dude, yes,
- 14:41Speaker 6: climb a building, You're like, what do we talk about?
- 14:43Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 14:43Speaker 13: I mean honestly, you know, what was the most difficult
- 14:45Speaker 13: thing for me was balancing the entertainment aspect with the seriousness,
- 14:52Speaker 13: because I mean, the dude, if he slips, he's dead.
- 14:55Speaker 13: It's over, he's done. And that's a man dying on
- 14:57Speaker 13: live television. And but you don't want to broadcast it
- 15:01Speaker 13: like it's like it's a sure thing funeral or a
- 15:03Speaker 13: possible funeral. You know, you want people to tune in
- 15:06Speaker 13: and be somewhat entertained by what they're saying, but also
- 15:08Speaker 13: keeping the gravity of the situation. You know, Pun intended
- 15:11Speaker 13: the gravity of the situation in play because the guy
- 15:14Speaker 13: is fully risking his life on live.
- 15:17Speaker 12: Television, which was bunker. So that was really difficult.
- 15:19Speaker 15: So I do appreciate that you can't even rehearse that,
- 15:23Speaker 15: meaning you're you're part No, Well, if you're gonna call
- 15:25Speaker 15: a match or call a game, you could run through
- 15:27Speaker 15: scenarios watch other games because you don't know what's gonna
- 15:30Speaker 15: happen and it's never happened before, correct, So what do
- 15:33Speaker 15: you do?
- 15:33Speaker 1: Just have notes and possibly go to them.
- 15:35Speaker 12: There was no playbook.
- 15:36Speaker 13: I honestly think that's part of why they asked me
- 15:38Speaker 13: to come in because my forte is live conversation, live promos,
- 15:43Speaker 13: live storytelling, and anything can happen on a WWB broadcast.
- 15:47Speaker 13: The audience can take a promo in a different direction.
- 15:50Speaker 13: You really never know what anybody's gonna say until they
- 15:52Speaker 13: get out there and say it.
- 15:53Speaker 12: They might forget something.
- 15:54Speaker 3: You have to.
- 15:54Speaker 12: Figure out how to cover it and tell your stories.
- 15:56Speaker 13: And so I think that's why they said, Hey, would
- 15:59Speaker 13: you like to come in and do this thing? We
- 16:01Speaker 13: think you can add entertainment value, but also we think
- 16:03Speaker 13: you can add the element of live TV. Anything can happen,
- 16:08Speaker 13: what's this story gonna look like as it unfolds? And
- 16:12Speaker 13: I was honored to be a part of it because
- 16:14Speaker 13: Alex is a great guy. His family is fantastic, and
- 16:16Speaker 13: it was very cool to meet him and just kind
- 16:19Speaker 13: of be in that.
- 16:20Speaker 12: Space with greatness. But yeah, it was there was no playbook.
- 16:24Speaker 13: I mean, we we rehearsed it in the sense that,
- 16:26Speaker 13: like Alex you know, he wanted he wanted to climb
- 16:29Speaker 13: out a couple of days early to try, you know,
- 16:30Speaker 13: which he strapped in and stuff like that, but it
- 16:32Speaker 13: was raining, so he only climbed sections of it, and
- 16:35Speaker 13: so we had packages and things to throw to and
- 16:38Speaker 13: we had options. But like, you can't just run through
- 16:40Speaker 13: the whole thing. You just don't know how long it's
- 16:43Speaker 13: gonna take. You don't know where he's gonna be win,
- 16:44Speaker 13: you don't know what any of this is gonna look like.
- 16:46Speaker 12: So that's I love Live TV in that way.
- 16:50Speaker 13: When you put somebody's life at stake in that scenario,
- 16:53Speaker 13: it adds a different element to it.
- 16:55Speaker 7: But it was a.
- 16:55Speaker 12: Very very cool, once in a lifetime experience.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Was there an emergency shoot to pull us something went wrong?
- 17:01Speaker 6: No, what was the protocol? Like, if something goes wrong,
- 17:04Speaker 6: what do we do?
- 17:05Speaker 13: Elle Duncan was the host for the show, and she's incredible,
- 17:08Speaker 13: and they had I think it was on a fifteen
- 17:11Speaker 13: second delay and I believe if something went wrong they
- 17:15Speaker 13: would be able to cut the feed and then there
- 17:17Speaker 13: was a prepared statement that Elle had, I think, and
- 17:21Speaker 13: within the fifteen seconds they were going to try to
- 17:23Speaker 13: decide whether to come to her and have the statement read,
- 17:27Speaker 13: or they were just going to go off air and
- 17:29Speaker 13: then be the end of it and you just we
- 17:31Speaker 13: wouldn't talk about it. So it was really up in
- 17:34Speaker 13: the air, but a lot of confidence in everybody, including Alex,
- 17:38Speaker 13: that he was just going to be.
- 17:39Speaker 7: Able to do this.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I was able to finish unreal on the flight over here.
- 17:42Speaker 1: It was a long flight. We're from Nashville. Do you
- 17:45Speaker 1: watch your back and see how they've edited all the things,
- 17:47Speaker 1: the many hours that you've done.
- 17:48Speaker 13: No, No, I can't watch the show. I didn't watch
- 17:51Speaker 13: season one and I wasn't even in it. I can't
- 17:53Speaker 13: watch it. It makes me feel dirty.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Because you're oversharing. Yes, does that feel weird saying here's
- 18:00Speaker 1: my real name, here's my other name, here's.
- 18:03Speaker 16: The real name.
- 18:04Speaker 13: Stuff's not as bad because like the internet, you know
- 18:07Speaker 13: so that, But like sharing the behind the scenes of
- 18:10Speaker 13: how the stories happened and like the ins and outs
- 18:12Speaker 13: of the industry, that part feels like I'm just not
- 18:14Speaker 13: totally comfortable with that. I'm not entirely on board with
- 18:17Speaker 13: all of it. So even like having those interviews, I
- 18:21Speaker 13: don't feel myself. I can't I feel myself like clamming up,
- 18:24Speaker 13: you know, like the sit downs are like, Okay, tell
- 18:26Speaker 13: me about this story.
- 18:27Speaker 12: I'm like, how much do I want them to know?
- 18:30Speaker 11: You know?
- 18:30Speaker 13: So it's like it's just not for me. I can't
- 18:33Speaker 13: watch it as a fan. If I were just a fan,
- 18:35Speaker 13: I would love it. That would be what I dreamed
- 18:38Speaker 13: of when I was a kid. But tell me the juice, Like,
- 18:40Speaker 13: give me, how does all this happen?
- 18:42Speaker 12: This is amazing, you know, that's what people want.
- 18:44Speaker 13: But I think, especially us kind of older school, anybody
- 18:48Speaker 13: that's like been wrestling for longer than ten years, five
- 18:50Speaker 13: ten years, it's just so hard to like break that
- 18:53Speaker 13: wall down.
- 18:54Speaker 1: WrestleMania forty two in Vegas. Do you like Vegas or WrestleMania?
- 18:58Speaker 13: Yes, because well I'm in La so it's easy to
- 19:01Speaker 13: get to. But it's also like built for big events.
- 19:04Speaker 13: So like the access to Allegiance is in and out amazing.
- 19:08Speaker 13: San Francisco awful, Traffic terrible. I mean there's a lot
- 19:11Speaker 13: of food, a lot of great stuff to do, you know,
- 19:13Speaker 13: beautiful city.
- 19:14Speaker 7: Love it.
- 19:15Speaker 13: But when you put how many people are here, yeah,
- 19:18Speaker 13: one hundred thousand.
- 19:19Speaker 1: People, it's chaos.
- 19:21Speaker 12: Vegas. No, it's easy. You wouldn't even know that there
- 19:24Speaker 12: was a game.
- 19:25Speaker 13: You would even know WrestleMania was happening if you didn't
- 19:27Speaker 13: see all the signs, you know what I mean. If
- 19:29Speaker 13: you were just a person driving through I'm on my
- 19:31Speaker 13: way to Reno, going through Vegas, whatever, wouldn't you know
- 19:35Speaker 13: there's an event.
- 19:35Speaker 12: Okay, that's it. They built it that way, and so.
- 19:38Speaker 7: I love that.
- 19:39Speaker 12: And there's a bunch of food, a bunch of shows.
- 19:41Speaker 13: So like, you know, family and friends come in for
- 19:43Speaker 13: those big events like they do for the Super Bowl.
- 19:45Speaker 12: You know, the players bring everybody in. But like, I
- 19:47Speaker 12: don't have to entertain everybody.
- 19:49Speaker 1: There's enough for this.
- 19:50Speaker 13: There's enough, and it's all in close proximity. They can
- 19:53Speaker 13: entertain themselves. They can figure it out, they can walk
- 19:55Speaker 13: to it. I don't have to like have responsibility for
- 19:57Speaker 13: making sure that like my my friend and third cousins
- 20:00Speaker 13: are having a good week.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Appreciate the time you can ticket to take a Master
- 20:04Speaker 1: dot com to Wrestleman. You have forty two big fan
- 20:06Speaker 1: sat thanks for coming by.
- 20:07Speaker 12: Thank you guys.
- 20:08Speaker 3: All right, so here we go. Let's build a Super
- 20:10Speaker 3: Bowl sixty parlay.
- 20:11Speaker 7: We're going.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Patriots plus four and a half think about that for
- 20:18Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 20:19Speaker 7: Love it.
- 20:21Speaker 1: We're also a bit biased because we have the Patriots
- 20:23Speaker 1: in our by a team league, which we're down like
- 20:26Speaker 1: four grand on that huh forty five gosh.
- 20:30Speaker 3: So the best we can do is be minus forty
- 20:32Speaker 3: two hundred. That would be great. It's like charity an.
- 20:35Speaker 3: It's either we'll take only six or forty two. That's
- 20:37Speaker 3: what we're gonna be.
- 20:40Speaker 8: Forty Okay, Yeah, i mean, shoot, at started the playoffs,
- 20:43Speaker 8: we're worse.
- 20:44Speaker 3: So that's good. Yeah, We're we're bad. Super Bowl MVP,
- 20:53Speaker 3: it's gonna be one of the two quarterbacks.
- 20:55Speaker 6: It's tough because you're thinking, like, all right, plus four,
- 20:57Speaker 6: there's a chance that the Patriots can win.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Right, I'm going Drake me o nice see. By doing that,
- 21:02Speaker 3: then you really think the Patriots can pull this off. Yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 3: I'll go I'm not doing Super Bowl MVP. I'm gonna
- 21:08Speaker 3: pull that off. So no need to edit it out.
- 21:10Speaker 1: You can just let me live in this for a
- 21:12Speaker 1: second because I'm going Patriots plus four and a half.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna skip Super Bowl MVP. I'm gonna do Drake
- 21:19Speaker 1: May plus two hundred and thirty yards passing.
- 21:23Speaker 3: I'm gonna do.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Sam Darnold plus two hundred and ten yards passing, and
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna do Kenneth Walker the third plus sixty yards rushing.
- 21:39Speaker 3: So we'll build that up. But the Patriots got to
- 21:43Speaker 3: get you close.
- 21:44Speaker 7: Uh yeah.

- 22:41Speaker 1: We're gonna go on a second to Seawan Alexander, who
- 22:44Speaker 1: he talks about fantasy football here, and he was really
- 22:47Speaker 1: one of the guys, Like when I first started getting
- 22:49Speaker 1: into fantasy football, you wanted to draft Seawan Alexander.
- 22:52Speaker 3: There were about two or.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Three guys back in the day that were always good
- 22:56Speaker 1: for big points every week.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Was he the first round pick on? Oh? Yeah, he
- 22:59Speaker 3: was as probably first overall overall? Ye, yeah, first over
- 23:03Speaker 3: That's what I meant.
- 23:03Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 1: John Alexander's peak was like the early two thousand so,
- 23:07Speaker 1: two thousand and two, two thousand and three, two and
- 23:09Speaker 1: four thousand and five. But he was awesome. That's when
- 23:12Speaker 1: I really got that the itch that I can make
- 23:16Speaker 1: money gambling on fantasy.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean you're just don't You've been good at
- 23:21Speaker 6: fantasy for as long as I'm.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Being good, I swear it is not. It's actually just
- 23:26Speaker 3: paying attention, yeah to being active. It's more work. If
- 23:29Speaker 3: you just do the work. For the most part, you
- 23:31Speaker 3: win because you're just watching the waiver wires. Have you ever, Well, no,
- 23:34Speaker 3: you trade, You're good at trading. No, I'm not good
- 23:36Speaker 3: at it.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I probably have a lower trade percentage of successful trades
- 23:40Speaker 1: in anybody.
- 23:40Speaker 3: In the league. I just do more of it.
- 23:42Speaker 6: I remember a while, like when I first got in,
- 23:45Speaker 6: you were like you kind of gave me like little
- 23:47Speaker 6: tips on what to who to draft or whatever, or
- 23:49Speaker 6: like how to.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Draft and always trade with me. I was like, I'm
- 23:51Speaker 3: the one to bed.
- 23:52Speaker 6: No, no, I'm serious. And then Bobby it was like
- 23:54Speaker 6: buying a car from him. He'd be like, hey man,
- 23:56Speaker 6: you really don't need that running back. Let me tell
- 23:59Speaker 6: you what you really need.
- 24:00Speaker 1: So we talked to Sean Alexander. It's pretty cool because
- 24:03Speaker 1: Sea Hawks are in the Super Bowl. He's here, here
- 24:05Speaker 1: he is running back, Sean Alexander, Sean, thanks for coming by, man.
- 24:08Speaker 7: Yeah, no doubt, no doubt.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I mean your own team's in it.
- 24:11Speaker 7: That's so good. So good man. You know, the the
- 24:16Speaker 7: idea of we'll talk about it when we're ready. No,
- 24:19Speaker 7: we're on, We're good. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 24:21Speaker 1: We don't have like good voices or anything. We just
- 24:23Speaker 1: talked like I just go, yeah's normal.
- 24:26Speaker 7: The idea that.
- 24:28Speaker 17: I came in this thing twenty years ago and now
- 24:31Speaker 17: this is our fourth super Bowl in twenty years. Like
- 24:34Speaker 17: the guys that are here like, oh yeah, we every
- 24:36Speaker 17: five years, see also go Super Bowl. I'm just like,
- 24:40Speaker 17: you know, when I first got here twenty five, I
- 24:42Speaker 17: came in season twenty five, and the first twenty five years,
- 24:47Speaker 17: you know, you watch history, you got you get Steve
- 24:49Speaker 17: Larger was good, Jim's on did some things okay, and you're.
- 24:53Speaker 7: Like, gosh, we which is not that good, you know
- 24:55Speaker 7: what I mean.
- 24:55Speaker 17: And now and now you're here, you're looking at this
- 24:58Speaker 17: and you're like, gosh, you know, we got to build
- 25:00Speaker 17: something that's like like we're a good football club, you
- 25:05Speaker 17: know what I mean. Like you look up and you're like, okay, yeh, hey,
- 25:08Speaker 17: every five years you went back Oh Sea owk ser
- 25:11Speaker 17: a Niggas. Yeah, it's about time when we get back
- 25:12Speaker 17: in Niggain, like you know, like that's how it feels.
- 25:14Speaker 17: And I feel like this team, if they handle business,
- 25:17Speaker 17: they could the nucleus is set that they could be
- 25:20Speaker 17: in here a couple more times in the next three
- 25:22Speaker 17: years too. So it's awesome. I think coach McDonald is amazing.
- 25:25Speaker 17: He's done a great job, got a great He's a
- 25:27Speaker 17: great mixture of Mike HomeGrid and Pete Carroll, which is wild,
- 25:32Speaker 17: you know, so so yeah, so super super sweet watching
- 25:34Speaker 17: these guys go to work.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Would you play away games and go, man, this crowd's
- 25:39Speaker 1: only compared to what we have at home, Like they
- 25:42Speaker 1: think they have a good crowd. But then you know
- 25:44Speaker 1: in Seattle, like you guys go extremely hard.
- 25:46Speaker 7: Hard and crazy.
- 25:47Speaker 17: But then you know it was also you know, I
- 25:50Speaker 17: was there when was the start of like fantasy football,
- 25:52Speaker 17: and so I remember, you know, you know, in Alabama,
- 25:55Speaker 17: you go to college, you're Tennessee, we can't stand you
- 25:59Speaker 17: h you know, Auburn, Please don't hurt it, you know,
- 26:02Speaker 17: you know, you get to love you know, you get
- 26:03Speaker 17: to the Pros and you remember the Chiefs because we
- 26:05Speaker 17: were still in the West. The Chiefs were loud, and
- 26:08Speaker 17: then you know, there was there was a little little
- 26:10Speaker 17: fight about the Raiders.
- 26:12Speaker 7: You know, they were kind of weird, you know what
- 26:13Speaker 7: I mean.
- 26:13Speaker 17: And so so then we go to the NFC West,
- 26:17Speaker 17: you know, and so we're over there and that's when
- 26:19Speaker 17: we built the stadium. So we built the Salem and
- 26:20Speaker 17: then we jumped into the West. So it was just
- 26:23Speaker 17: uniquely different vibe. And I remember going out for a
- 26:26Speaker 17: game and uh, you know, and you know, left tack
- 26:30Speaker 17: of Walter Jones boo, you know, quarterback hats back boo,
- 26:33Speaker 17: And they're like in tailback from cel Shan's.
- 26:35Speaker 7: And and I started hurting. People clap and I was like, hey,
- 26:40Speaker 7: hey Mac, that was our fullback next strong. Hey did
- 26:44Speaker 7: they sound like they were clapping? He's like yeah. I
- 26:46Speaker 7: was like, what just happened.
- 26:48Speaker 17: There's this thing now that's called fantasy football, where like
- 26:52Speaker 17: people are picking you because you scored so many touchdowns.
- 26:55Speaker 17: I was like, what is it? He goes, yeah, it's
- 26:56Speaker 17: like a game that you would play. He was explaining
- 26:58Speaker 17: to me, like we're stretching. He's explaining to me like
- 27:01Speaker 17: how fantasy football is taking over, how fans react to people.
- 27:05Speaker 17: So I would score touchdowns and games they'd be like, yay,
- 27:08Speaker 17: you see people be like oh, So the road games
- 27:12Speaker 17: were kind of weird for us because people were reacting
- 27:15Speaker 17: weird for especially when I would score, you know, but
- 27:18Speaker 17: we came home.
- 27:19Speaker 7: Didn't matter. Everybody was going on for the Seahawks.
- 27:22Speaker 6: What do you miss most about playing?
- 27:26Speaker 7: You know what? I think everybody says it.
- 27:27Speaker 17: It's it's guys coming together, different personalities, different backgrounds, one goal,
- 27:34Speaker 17: like can we can we go be the best team
- 27:36Speaker 17: note that this organize has ever seen before. Can we
- 27:39Speaker 17: get to the super Bowl? Can we win it? Can
- 27:41Speaker 17: guys make plays that they never thought they could, you know?
- 27:43Speaker 17: And then can they do it again and again and again?
- 27:45Speaker 17: So I like the koromedy of just players becoming men
- 27:50Speaker 17: wrong in twenty twenty one when you get there, you know,
- 27:53Speaker 17: and so you know, I went the MVP at twenty eight,
- 27:56Speaker 17: you know, so like you know, it's a Super Bowl
- 27:58Speaker 17: year two, you know, so, so just watching that maturation
- 28:02Speaker 17: process is what.
- 28:03Speaker 7: I always remember.
- 28:04Speaker 1: What kind of locker room guy is Sam Donald?
- 28:06Speaker 7: Man?
- 28:07Speaker 17: Sam's awesome, you know, like it seems like everybody loves
- 28:10Speaker 17: him because he's figured out how to becomes with its
- 28:13Speaker 17: own skin, how to just work hard and grind and
- 28:16Speaker 17: not try to be somebody else. And see, those are
- 28:18Speaker 17: the best teammates where it's like, man, this is who
- 28:20Speaker 17: I am. I'm still trying to get better being whim,
- 28:23Speaker 17: but I'm definitely not gonna try to be you, you know,
- 28:25Speaker 17: And those guys are great. But Servant loves people, wants
- 28:29Speaker 17: people to be better, wants people to get better. You're
- 28:31Speaker 17: never gonna demean or lower somebody for his own self,
- 28:35Speaker 17: you know, so he'll take the fall of.
- 28:37Speaker 7: The knife first.
- 28:38Speaker 17: And those kind of those are great leaders great leadership skills.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Were you running back to craved contact?
- 28:45Speaker 7: I craved the touchdowns.
- 28:47Speaker 1: You know, contact was part of it.
- 28:49Speaker 7: So I knew that.
- 28:51Speaker 17: And a lot of guys always say like, man, you
- 28:53Speaker 17: know you kind of played the game in the you know,
- 28:55Speaker 17: fifty middlefield. I'm fifty ju juke bounce outside. You know
- 28:59Speaker 17: it's that you get into the twenty and they'd be like,
- 29:01Speaker 17: you push the incredible hawk.
- 29:02Speaker 7: But you know, I.
- 29:06Speaker 17: Love the fact of making the whole stadium say the
- 29:10Speaker 17: game just shifted. The score is either farther away or
- 29:13Speaker 17: or back in it. And so I wanted to go
- 29:17Speaker 17: score the touchdowns all the time. And so I ran
- 29:20Speaker 17: like this means everything, and so I just wanted to
- 29:24Speaker 17: dominate the red zone.
- 29:25Speaker 7: And so that's that was the goal.
- 29:27Speaker 6: I always wondered that, you know, like when you break loose,
- 29:29Speaker 6: what's going through your mind is if you black out?
- 29:32Speaker 17: Or are you thinking I'm I'm always thinking, you know,
- 29:35Speaker 17: I got it. I had a great sprint. Coach got
- 29:38Speaker 17: rest of soul. Joe Gentry traded the Olympic athletes back
- 29:41Speaker 17: in the eighties, trained a couple of high schools and
- 29:44Speaker 17: college kids, and my agent knew him. It was like, Joe,
- 29:47Speaker 17: we know you retired, man, why don't you come in
- 29:50Speaker 17: show shanzan and holler round forty.
- 29:51Speaker 7: So he flew down in Alabama and helped me. Their
- 29:54Speaker 7: training played.
- 29:56Speaker 17: The front of the rookie season, and then he called
- 29:59Speaker 17: me up on the phone. It was like, you're holding
- 30:01Speaker 17: your breath when you run, You'd be so much faster.
- 30:05Speaker 17: And so we just started training from that end of
- 30:07Speaker 17: that all the way to my career, and I just
- 30:09Speaker 17: felt like I got faster and faster and faster through
- 30:12Speaker 17: my career, and I broke a lot of long runs
- 30:14Speaker 17: and they were like, what's going on. I was like,
- 30:17Speaker 17: I kept all the normal football coaches that I had,
- 30:20Speaker 17: but I brought I added this one sprint coach and
- 30:23Speaker 17: I felt like I had a nitrol button.
- 30:24Speaker 7: You were in a better game touching that. Yeah.
- 30:26Speaker 17: I added that nitro button to my NFL game. I mean,
- 30:28Speaker 17: it was just the people were they were at my mercy.
- 30:31Speaker 7: It was really cool.
- 30:32Speaker 1: What is Stand Together about?
- 30:34Speaker 3: Man?
- 30:34Speaker 17: Stand Together is about nine hundred some of the most
- 30:37Speaker 17: successful businessmen, women, and filingthropic leaders in the country and
- 30:40Speaker 17: they put their time, their talents and treasures together to
- 30:43Speaker 17: tackle some of the country's biggest issues. I get to
- 30:46Speaker 17: play the role of the ambassador of Stand Together, and
- 30:48Speaker 17: I get to help build the philanthropic locker round. You know,
- 30:51Speaker 17: I built the perfect tripod. There's people in communities everywhere
- 30:54Speaker 17: to do great works. There's foundations that do great work.
- 30:57Speaker 17: There's people that can help funded or give great ideas.
- 31:00Speaker 17: You know, they're kind of the backbone of the thought
- 31:02Speaker 17: process behind it that I get to bring the influencers
- 31:05Speaker 17: in NFL players, basketball players, entertainers, actors, singers, and I say, hey,
- 31:12Speaker 17: you're busy traveling the world, you're busy doing this, you're
- 31:15Speaker 17: busy playing football, which you don't have enough time is
- 31:18Speaker 17: to come over there and scoop the mash tails and
- 31:20Speaker 17: build the house. It looks great, but you don't really
- 31:22Speaker 17: have enough time for that. What if somebody else was
- 31:26Speaker 17: already doing that and they did exactly what you wanted
- 31:29Speaker 17: to do, and you all you had to do was
- 31:31Speaker 17: go be you be on the radio, do your show,
- 31:34Speaker 17: be famous, and everybody know. I said, you're gonna inspire
- 31:37Speaker 17: everybody else. You might inspire a hundred one thousand people
- 31:40Speaker 17: to go do what you're doing, which inspires hundreds of thousands,
- 31:42Speaker 17: which inspires millions. And now we're touching millions of lives
- 31:45Speaker 17: for you just doing what you do, but partnering with
- 31:49Speaker 17: somebody else that I was already doing the work. And
- 31:52Speaker 17: we're just seeing just hundreds of thousands and millions of
- 31:55Speaker 17: people's lives and communities impacted in such great ways. And
- 31:59Speaker 17: so I go around with standing together, and I bring
- 32:01Speaker 17: guys in and we have dinners, and I'm like, hey,
- 32:03Speaker 17: you know, you know, I just see guys all around,
- 32:06Speaker 17: like Barry Sanders, Hey, what is that you would want
- 32:08Speaker 17: to do seeing communities?
- 32:09Speaker 4: You know?
- 32:10Speaker 7: To to younger guys? Oh hey, Ricky Waters, what would
- 32:12Speaker 7: you like to do a community? Then I keep it
- 32:13Speaker 7: getting younger.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Hey, Jalen Hurst, what would you like to do?
- 32:17Speaker 7: You know what I mean? Joe Burrow? What do you
- 32:18Speaker 7: And we're.
- 32:19Speaker 17: Just having the conversations about like, you know, people get
- 32:21Speaker 17: in the league and they say, man, I got to
- 32:22Speaker 17: help some kind of way.
- 32:24Speaker 7: But if you're playing, you really.
- 32:25Speaker 18: Don't have the time.
- 32:27Speaker 17: But what if we could short change this. What we
- 32:29Speaker 17: could just build the team around you and let you
- 32:32Speaker 17: just be the face you're you're good at being a
- 32:33Speaker 17: star let that star shine, and let's go find the
- 32:37Speaker 17: rest of.
- 32:37Speaker 7: The people that could go do it for you. I
- 32:39Speaker 7: love it.
- 32:39Speaker 17: I mean we have helped millions of people already and uh,
- 32:43Speaker 17: and I think it's just the beginning.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Well, Sean, I appreciate the time as a big fan,
- 32:47Speaker 1: no doubt. Try to draft every year Fantasy.
- 32:52Speaker 7: Yeah, they're like, oh, he's scored.
- 32:56Speaker 1: We really appreciate the time shot.
- 32:57Speaker 7: No doubt, no doubt, Hawks win who.
- 33:00Speaker 3: He's the coolest person that you guys have seen with
- 33:01Speaker 3: your own eyes today. Mine's easy.
- 33:04Speaker 6: Go ahead, And I went in circles because during the
- 33:07Speaker 6: interviews when I saw him, we were interviewing someone and
- 33:09Speaker 6: I saw him and I was like, as soon as
- 33:12Speaker 6: this interview's done or we're done, I have to go
- 33:14Speaker 6: find him. And I looked and looked, and I can
- 33:15Speaker 6: find him.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Ceedee lamb. It was freaking awesome. Oh yeah, you did say.
- 33:22Speaker 8: He kept telling me Kevin, if you see him again,
- 33:23Speaker 8: let me know.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I thought he was trying to get move with the
- 33:26Speaker 3: CD's nuts.
- 33:27Speaker 7: No, no, no.
- 33:28Speaker 6: I didn't see any cowboys. I mean I saw me
- 33:31Speaker 6: and Brandon saw I'm at Smith eating pizza. But he
- 33:35Speaker 6: was the only other cowboy we saw. That's interesting.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, who else? No, No, that's not true, Darren Woodson.
- 33:41Speaker 8: Oh yeah, yeah, we walked behind him.
- 33:43Speaker 6: Yeah, I'll tell you someone else who I saw was
- 33:46Speaker 6: really cool, Martha Stewart today.
- 33:48Speaker 3: What Yah.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I wouldn't have even noticed her because I wouldn't
- 33:52Speaker 1: be looking for Martha Stewart. It was there are so
- 33:56Speaker 1: many people in that room, and you have to have
- 33:58Speaker 1: credentials to get in the room, so pretty much they
- 34:01Speaker 1: think if you're in the room, you won't freak out
- 34:02Speaker 1: on people because you're credentialed enough to actually get the credentials.
- 34:06Speaker 3: But it's loaded full of famous people, so many everywhere
- 34:10Speaker 3: you look.
- 34:10Speaker 6: Yeah, and they're not like they're right next to you,
- 34:13Speaker 6: Like sometimes you can be walking next to him the
- 34:14Speaker 6: whole time.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Mostly famous athletes, And because of that, I think I'm
- 34:18Speaker 1: trained to look for the famous athlete. And most of
- 34:20Speaker 1: the time they're just bigger people. It's the bigger people
- 34:23Speaker 1: in the room or the cooler people with more jewelry,
- 34:25Speaker 1: one of the two.
- 34:26Speaker 8: Yeah, some dudes are really like Joe Milton, you could
- 34:29Speaker 8: tell he was somebody and they're like, oh, it's Joe
- 34:30Speaker 8: Milton just what he was working.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Did you hear me when I told you that was him? Yeah?
- 34:33Speaker 3: But I still can pick him out because he was
- 34:36Speaker 3: right there, and I didn't want to say it too loud. Hey,
- 34:38Speaker 3: man's to a Milton. But you never responded something like
- 34:41Speaker 3: he can't hear me. But as an adult man, would
- 34:43Speaker 3: you have gone up to ceedee lamb Yes, in said
- 34:46Speaker 3: what CD, can I get a picture? Dude? Big fan?
- 34:48Speaker 3: Love you boom? You would have said that, even though
- 34:51Speaker 3: you're fifteen years older him. Yes, he's a current Cowboys player.
- 34:54Speaker 7: I mean.
- 34:56Speaker 3: He's one of the best.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Even in an extremely professional environment where that's really not
- 35:00Speaker 1: the thing. It's like when Adam went up to Adam
- 35:02Speaker 1: Sandler in the airport, right Adam Kevin? Like Kevin went
- 35:05Speaker 1: up Adam Sandler in the airport, and I was like,
- 35:06Speaker 1: don't do it. Because it's a private airport. Everybody feels
- 35:09Speaker 1: like it's a safe place. You would have done the
- 35:11Speaker 1: Kevin rule. Here's the deal.
- 35:12Speaker 6: I'd already watched like ten or fifteen people just go
- 35:16Speaker 6: up to random athletes, Hey make can I get a picture?
- 35:18Speaker 3: Absolutely?
- 35:19Speaker 6: And everyone I saw was happy to take a picture.
- 35:21Speaker 6: So I'm thinking this is what they're here for. I'm
- 35:23Speaker 6: sure they expect it and they're good to take pictures.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Maybe it's not a big deal then, but there are
- 35:27Speaker 1: no fans in that place. No, No, it's supposed to
- 35:30Speaker 1: be all media, credentialed media.
- 35:32Speaker 3: But yeah, maybe they're used to it.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Dude.
- 35:34Speaker 6: I saw Jerry Rice in the bathroom, like it's bizarre
- 35:37Speaker 6: at erinal.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I know he was fixing his tie in the mirror.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Did you say any No, nothing, nothing.
- 35:44Speaker 6: No one was talking about And that's you know, that's
- 35:46Speaker 6: kind of like to your point, everyone's just like be
- 35:48Speaker 6: cool with everyone.
- 35:49Speaker 1: I saw Marcus Allen, but he was waiting in line
- 35:51Speaker 1: to get his credential, just standing there online. Yeah, and
- 35:55Speaker 1: you guys thought you saw Marcus Allen Kevin.
- 35:59Speaker 8: I was like, dude, there's Marcus on Actually no, that's
- 36:02Speaker 8: not Marcus.
- 36:03Speaker 1: But then you later saw Marcus Allen literally minutes later, Eddie,
- 36:07Speaker 1: the real Marcus Island is right there.
- 36:09Speaker 3: It was saw Matt Ryan. Oh yeah, he's a big
- 36:12Speaker 3: tall yeah, super tall guy. Uh. Speaking of Woodson's we
- 36:15Speaker 3: talked to Rod Woodson. Yeah, pretty cool.
- 36:18Speaker 1: And I knew he had played corner and then safety,
- 36:21Speaker 1: but he played corner in college, but I guess in
- 36:24Speaker 1: the NFL did he goes safety first and then corner.
- 36:26Speaker 8: When he was younger, he went safety corner in the
- 36:31Speaker 8: NFL corner.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Then went back to the safety.
- 36:33Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 3: I got confused, Yeah with whatever I said. I thought
- 36:36Speaker 3: I was wrong, and he was like, you're not wrong.
- 36:37Speaker 3: I was like, I don't even know what I said.
- 36:38Speaker 8: He's like, and when Pop Warner I played.
- 36:40Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, he was ten years old.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Rod Woodson was a beast. So this is our conversation
- 36:46Speaker 1: with Fort Pittsburgh Steeler Rod Woodson. Hey, Ron, good to
- 36:49Speaker 1: see you.
- 36:49Speaker 10: Good senior.
- 36:50Speaker 1: When you come back to things like this, is it
- 36:52Speaker 1: NonStop fans?
- 36:55Speaker 18: No, I mean it's I mean, obviously you read to
- 36:57Speaker 18: be a has been that I never was. But it's
- 37:00Speaker 18: great to see all the guys. I mean, everybody goes
- 37:04Speaker 18: in their different directions. You know, life happens, uh, and
- 37:07Speaker 18: then super Bowl week it's like catch up for a week,
- 37:13Speaker 18: then life happens again. Right then next year, catch up
- 37:15Speaker 18: for a week, then life happened. So it's kind of
- 37:18Speaker 18: a blessing to come back to see the guys every
- 37:20Speaker 18: single year.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I was a big fan of watching you play like
- 37:22Speaker 1: that was you know my heyday as well, Like with
- 37:24Speaker 1: the Steelers and you played cornerback and then you played safety.
- 37:28Speaker 1: You know what point did you realize that was probably
- 37:30Speaker 1: the move for you to make?
- 37:31Speaker 10: Well?
- 37:33Speaker 18: I was a safety first, So I was a safety
- 37:35Speaker 18: from eight years old all the way through Purdue. So
- 37:38Speaker 18: I was asking your switch then, no, no, no, you're right,
- 37:40Speaker 18: you're right in the league. And then when I so
- 37:44Speaker 18: when I started playing football, power football for the Oakland
- 37:47Speaker 18: Raiders or excuse me, for the Power Raiders, it was
- 37:50Speaker 18: it was safety, safety all the way through my last
- 37:53Speaker 18: year at Purdue. And they're like, hey, you know what,
- 37:56Speaker 18: you might have to play corner in the league because
- 37:58Speaker 18: you're fast.
- 37:59Speaker 10: So they're like a little corner, a little.
- 38:01Speaker 18: Safety, a little receiver, a little running back. My last
- 38:03Speaker 18: year Perdue. And then when I got to the league,
- 38:06Speaker 18: they're like, listen. When I ran my time at the
- 38:08Speaker 18: forty the combine, They're like, okay, you're going to be
- 38:10Speaker 18: a corner and I'm like, uh no, I don't want
- 38:12Speaker 18: to be a corner. I mean, I really didn't like it,
- 38:15Speaker 18: and it took me. Luckily, I had Tony Dungee as
- 38:18Speaker 18: my coach, because Tony doesn't yell at you.
- 38:20Speaker 10: He doesn't raise his voice at you. Gave me a
- 38:22Speaker 10: lot of love.
- 38:23Speaker 18: I didn't know what I was doing out there for
- 38:25Speaker 18: about two and a half years. I was like, this
- 38:27Speaker 18: plan just out there. And you know, obviously when we
- 38:30Speaker 18: first got to Pittsburgh, we weren't that good at Pittsburgh,
- 38:33Speaker 18: and we're at the bottom of the AFC Central when
- 38:36Speaker 18: the running shoot was going. Boomer was going in Cincinnati,
- 38:40Speaker 18: Cozar was going in Cleveland, and we were the last
- 38:44Speaker 18: right the Steelers, and then we kind of grew into it.
- 38:46Speaker 18: And then twelve years later moved back to safety, and
- 38:51Speaker 18: I was like, oh, you know when you just come home,
- 38:53Speaker 18: when you settled in your couch and you're like, ohoo, man,
- 38:56Speaker 18: this feels good. I was back home if I was like, finally,
- 39:01Speaker 18: finally I get to play the position I should have
- 39:04Speaker 18: played my whole career.
- 39:05Speaker 6: Yeah, in my opinion, I mean, my son, he's sixth grade,
- 39:08Speaker 6: he plays corner, and I tell him, this is the
- 39:10Speaker 6: hardest position in football.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Do you agree with that?
- 39:13Speaker 10: Absolutely?
- 39:14Speaker 16: I mean, you give up one tug, It's like you're
- 39:18Speaker 16: the worst guy ever.
- 39:19Speaker 18: Like I I mean, you have to shut you have
- 39:22Speaker 18: to be a shutdown corner. You can't give up any
- 39:24Speaker 18: catches if you give up a hitch, Okay, they may
- 39:26Speaker 18: be so. But if if you give up one touchdown,
- 39:30Speaker 18: don't give up to in a game and and don't
- 39:32Speaker 18: let it happen back to back weeks, then you're a bust, right,
- 39:35Speaker 18: I mean, but in the NFL, a quarterback can throw
- 39:38Speaker 18: two interceptions, three interceptions, but then he has a game
- 39:41Speaker 18: winning touchdown pass he's the guy.
- 39:44Speaker 7: Right.
- 39:44Speaker 10: It's like, I don't it doesn't make sense to me.
- 39:47Speaker 1: What were the pass interference rules back in the day?
- 39:51Speaker 10: There was nothing. No, I'm just kidding, kidding.
- 39:53Speaker 16: They were less, but no, it's it's always been there.
- 39:57Speaker 18: So when mel Blunt was like crushing guys you know
- 40:01Speaker 18: on the at the cornerback position, they're like, hey man,
- 40:05Speaker 18: we need to get some rules out here, because back
- 40:06Speaker 18: in the day there was none. I'm talking back back
- 40:09Speaker 18: in the sixties and seven, there was none. Right, So
- 40:13Speaker 18: then when mel was as big as he was, meil six'
- 40:15Speaker 18: four can, run he was just you, know running with
- 40:19Speaker 18: receivers pushing, them and they're.
- 40:20Speaker 10: Like, okay we need a five yard truck.
- 40:22Speaker 18: Rule and, really because of Mel blant and those dbs
- 40:26Speaker 18: back then are having their way with the receivers down the.
- 40:29Speaker 18: Field so they put the rule in place in the mid,
- 40:32Speaker 18: seventies somewhere in that. AREA i can't really remember the exact,
- 40:35Speaker 18: year but it's been there for quite a long. Time
- 40:39Speaker 18: they just enforced it differently today than they did in my,
- 40:44Speaker 18: timeframe because it was it was always that five yard
- 40:47Speaker 18: rule and it's been there for quite a long. Time
- 40:50Speaker 18: it's just now you see them run a five yard
- 40:54Speaker 18: slant at three yards and the corner is touching the
- 40:58Speaker 18: receiver and they call pass, interference WHICH i thought that Was,
- 41:01Speaker 18: no it wasn't a pass interference.
- 41:04Speaker 16: Zone BECAUSE i get TO i get to hit you.
- 41:06Speaker 18: Anyway so it's like my argument always has, been, man
- 41:10Speaker 18: let the dvs, Play let the receivers, play and at
- 41:14Speaker 18: the end of the, day if it's, egregious call it to.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Me watching you return, balls watching anybody return balls like
- 41:23Speaker 1: that is what feels like the most vulnerable position in,
- 41:26Speaker 1: football because they're coming at you and you're you're not
- 41:28Speaker 1: even looking at. Them is that so much of a
- 41:31Speaker 1: field thing or are you able to divert your eyes and?
- 41:33Speaker 1: Look how were you able to become a successful?
- 41:35Speaker 3: Returner?
- 41:36Speaker 18: Well IM i think it was like my first or
- 41:39Speaker 18: second kick return in the. League and WHEN i first
- 41:42Speaker 18: came into The, steelers you know when you when you're in,
- 41:47Speaker 18: college the hole opens up and it stays. OPEN i
- 41:50Speaker 18: learned not so much in The National Football. League i'm,
- 41:53Speaker 18: like looking at the whole open, Up i'm going through the.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Hole it.
- 41:57Speaker 18: CLOSED i get hit side of the, ear the ball
- 42:00Speaker 18: goes this, WAY i go that, way, fumble AND i, realized,
- 42:04Speaker 18: hey these things happen really really fast in this, league
- 42:08Speaker 18: SO i have to make sure ONCE i do make that,
- 42:10Speaker 18: Decision i'm. Gone and so for, ME i think the best,
- 42:14Speaker 18: returners when you see the debit hesters of the, world
- 42:17Speaker 18: it's the guys who have that, vision who can see,
- 42:19Speaker 18: it who aren't afraid to have a little contact inside of.
- 42:22Speaker 18: That and that's WHAT i loved about. It it's LIKE
- 42:26Speaker 18: i played, defense even THOUGH i loved offense WHEN i
- 42:28Speaker 18: was in high, school and my only to, opportunity KNOWING
- 42:32Speaker 18: i was going to touch the ball is either get
- 42:33Speaker 18: your interception or a pump return kick.
- 42:35Speaker 16: RETURN i have to take advantage of. THAT i Know
- 42:38Speaker 16: i'm not going to get any opportunities on.
- 42:40Speaker 10: Offense so it was fun to.
- 42:42Speaker 18: Do but you have to have that no fear factor
- 42:45Speaker 18: when you're a returner and being able to make some
- 42:48Speaker 18: catches when you probably shouldn't and when.
- 42:52Speaker 10: You probably should fair catch.
- 42:54Speaker 4: It.
- 42:55Speaker 6: Rod when you win The Super, bowl how long does
- 42:57Speaker 6: that high? Last and like how long is the party?
- 43:00Speaker 18: Last, well the lows last a lot. LONGER i can
- 43:02Speaker 18: tell you that BECAUSE i was in THREE i lost.
- 43:05Speaker 18: Too the low's last a lot longer than the. Highs
- 43:09Speaker 18: the one time that we did, WIN i mean it
- 43:11Speaker 18: was great right going back AND i didn't even do
- 43:14Speaker 18: the parade back In.
- 43:16Speaker 10: BALTIMORE i didn't go back to the.
- 43:17Speaker 18: PARADE i went to a y with my whole family and, like,
- 43:21Speaker 18: LISTEN i finally got.
- 43:22Speaker 7: One i'm in a.
- 43:23Speaker 18: Y i'd rather be here than the cold weather and
- 43:26Speaker 18: being with the fellas you, know BUT i.
- 43:28Speaker 16: Would say about for, me it was about forty eight hours.
- 43:32Speaker 10: And then, hey let's get back to.
- 43:35Speaker 7: It can you sleep, well.
- 43:38Speaker 10: Yeah when you're, drinking, yes you can sleep fasting.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Out why is working with THE Da Fennel free so
- 43:46Speaker 1: important to? You, like tell me about?
- 43:47Speaker 18: It, well first of, all you, know THE Nfl Alumni
- 43:51Speaker 18: health has done a tremendous job of partnering with THE.
- 43:53Speaker 18: Da this is our third straight year coming here to
- 43:56Speaker 18: the radio row to get the word out and.
- 44:00Speaker 16: Listen everybody walks around with the phone in their, hand and.
- 44:03Speaker 18: It's really when drug related deaths are when we talk
- 44:08Speaker 18: about from ages eighteen to forty, four are the most
- 44:10Speaker 18: international in this. Country and fentanyl has grown especially kind
- 44:17Speaker 18: of like that twenty fifteen, ish it was, there twenty eighteen,
- 44:21Speaker 18: ish the pandemic, hits it's rampant across the, country and
- 44:27Speaker 18: THE da has done a tremendous job of telling young
- 44:32Speaker 18: kids and how to talk to the young kids about
- 44:35Speaker 18: fentanyl itself because social.
- 44:37Speaker 10: Media, guy.
- 44:39Speaker 18: What we really want to get across is that social,
- 44:41Speaker 18: media you can't buy prescription drugs on social.
- 44:43Speaker 10: Media you just.
- 44:44Speaker 16: Can't so let's be.
- 44:46Speaker 18: Smart your, physician your pharmacist is where you can get your.
- 44:54Speaker 18: Prescriptions and, listen two millimeters of fentanyl can kill.
- 44:59Speaker 10: You it doesn't.
- 45:00Speaker 16: Discriminate they've done a tremendous.
- 45:03Speaker 10: Job over the last three.
- 45:05Speaker 18: Years fifty thousand people died in twenty twenty, four but
- 45:09Speaker 18: it went down from twenty twenty three where seventy nine
- 45:13Speaker 18: thousand people died in THE us from. Fentanyl so each
- 45:16Speaker 18: year getting the word. Out AND i think that's the great,
- 45:18Speaker 18: thing you, KNOW i love about THE Nfl Alumni. Health
- 45:22Speaker 18: it's partnering with THE da And Agent cole with THE,
- 45:25Speaker 18: DA i mean he, is he's a boss. Man and
- 45:28Speaker 18: what they've done to correct that with our, youth not
- 45:33Speaker 18: only coming out here In Radio, row but going around
- 45:36Speaker 18: to different communities around the, country but also partnering with
- 45:40Speaker 18: THE Nfl HEALTH Nfl Alumni health has been huge for
- 45:46Speaker 18: getting the word out that let's be smart to our
- 45:49Speaker 18: youth getting on that phone thinking that.
- 45:51Speaker 10: You're going to get some type of prescription.
- 45:52Speaker 18: Drug and if you look at if you go TO
- 45:55Speaker 18: da dot gov slash one, pill you'll see the original
- 46:02Speaker 18: pill and The sentinel.
- 46:05Speaker 10: Pill they look just. ALIKE i don't know how you
- 46:08Speaker 10: tell the.
- 46:08Speaker 18: Difference and for me it was a little personal because
- 46:12Speaker 18: my oldest son was involved in little drugs when he
- 46:14Speaker 18: was in high. School unfortunately enough that it wasn't fentinel
- 46:19Speaker 18: because it wasn't, fitanel wasn't the crave back in the early.
- 46:21Speaker 18: Nineties but to think THAT i have a kid who
- 46:27Speaker 18: might have a drug issue today would be worse IF
- 46:31Speaker 18: i was a.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Parent, well we really appreciate you coming by talking with
- 46:35Speaker 1: about football and sharing that as.
- 46:36Speaker 3: Well so.
- 46:37Speaker 16: BIG i appreciate, It thank, you thank you.

- 47:52Speaker 1: fitzpatrick Who eddie.
- 47:54Speaker 3: Was just you're so, buff, Dude, dude you was. RIPPED
- 47:59Speaker 3: i was prize to see how like you, know he
- 48:02Speaker 3: hasn't played in a. WHILE i thought he was just
- 48:04Speaker 3: a normal football. Player did you think he was exceptionally? Ripped?
- 48:07Speaker 3: NO i didn't need you did?
- 48:08Speaker 8: IT i thought HE i thought he was like his
- 48:10Speaker 8: arms and shoulders were pretty. THICK i thought he was
- 48:12Speaker 8: a big guy like y chest, boom really, big but like,
- 48:16Speaker 8: NO i mean especially compared to the guys that we saw.
- 48:19Speaker 6: Today, NO i think it was for me more, like
- 48:22Speaker 6: oh he's a. Quarterback i've never seen him in. Person
- 48:25Speaker 6: he Just i'm sure he looks just. Normal but he
- 48:27Speaker 6: didn't look normal here.
- 48:28Speaker 1: He, is mister not looking. Normal Ryan, Fitzpatrick, ryan good
- 48:33Speaker 1: to see, you. Man.
- 48:33Speaker 11: YEAH i go to see you guys. Too so can we.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Talk about the quarterbacks this this? Game? Like what do
- 48:38Speaker 1: you See Drake may obviously second? Year got young? Guy
- 48:40Speaker 1: how hard is it to be a leader if you're
- 48:41Speaker 1: that young on a.
- 48:42Speaker 5: Team SO i think that's a big thing For Mike
- 48:45Speaker 5: rabel that he wanted to See drake improve on this
- 48:48Speaker 5: year and just continue to get better With when you
- 48:50Speaker 5: play like he did throughout the, season it's a little
- 48:53Speaker 5: bit easier to be able to command the boys a little,
- 48:55Speaker 5: bit BUT i.
- 48:56Speaker 11: Think instant respect just from his.
- 48:58Speaker 5: Personality he's got such an engaging, personality so that part
- 49:03Speaker 5: of it is. Great Sam darnold when he walks into
- 49:05Speaker 5: a locker, room the scar tissue that he's built up
- 49:07Speaker 5: over the, years and then just the experiences that he's,
- 49:11Speaker 5: had it's been great for him to step in there
- 49:13Speaker 5: being an instant leader and looking forward to both these
- 49:16Speaker 5: guys seeing how they. Play sam's had a much better
- 49:19Speaker 5: postseason Than drake may has in terms of the actual
- 49:22Speaker 5: play on the. Field but now we're just looking at
- 49:24Speaker 5: sixty minutes On. Sunday, yeah we've.
- 49:26Speaker 6: Never, met but you're still jacked, Man, like are?
- 49:29Speaker 11: You oh? WOW i just started working out? Again thank you?
- 49:33Speaker 1: Dude are?
- 49:34Speaker 7: You are you at?
- 49:35Speaker 3: It you going hard?
- 49:36Speaker 11: Still you?
- 49:37Speaker 5: KNOW i got to keep the beach body, right you,
- 49:40Speaker 5: Know and and the amount of times THAT i have
- 49:42Speaker 5: to take my shirt off On thursday night, Football, LIKE
- 49:45Speaker 5: i want to represent for all the dad bods out,
- 49:47Speaker 5: there SO i don't want to get too fit or too.
- 49:49Speaker 5: Cut BUT i think it's Because i'm wearing two, shirts
- 49:51Speaker 5: so that's.
- 49:52Speaker 1: What, yeah how's your? Health how's your?
- 49:54Speaker 5: Body when you, retired do you feel do you start
- 49:56Speaker 5: to feel things? MORE i was extremely, lucky SO i
- 49:59Speaker 5: played for seventy. YEARS i had three. Surgeries broken leg
- 50:04Speaker 5: was the biggest surgery THAT i. HAD i feel. GREAT
- 50:07Speaker 5: i wake up in the morning and feel really. Good
- 50:09Speaker 5: AND i Know i'm very fortunate for that because there
- 50:12Speaker 5: are a lot of guys that aren't in the same.
- 50:13Speaker 5: Situation but as a, quarterback it's like things that guys
- 50:17Speaker 5: have to worry about, shoulders, elbows, knees, ankles, fingers LIKE
- 50:21Speaker 5: i never.
- 50:21Speaker 11: Had any of those. Issues so feeling pretty, good thank.
- 50:24Speaker 1: You With drabel not having coached The Super bowl but
- 50:27Speaker 1: played in Multiple Super, bowls do you think that gives
- 50:30Speaker 1: him a bit of an advantage versus a coach who's never,
- 50:33Speaker 1: coached because at least he's played in it and understands
- 50:35Speaker 1: what the week is are the two weeks is like
- 50:37Speaker 1: leading up to, It.
- 50:38Speaker 5: Yeah the two weeks leading up is a, lot and you,
- 50:41Speaker 5: KNOW i was never fortunate enough to be in, one
- 50:42Speaker 5: BUT i think you rely on some of those people
- 50:44Speaker 5: that have been in these. Situations SO i Think mike
- 50:46Speaker 5: McDonald's probably talked to a bunch of his peers to,
- 50:49Speaker 5: say what do you?
- 50:50Speaker 11: Do how do you?
- 50:50Speaker 5: Adjust you, know the big talk is like, halftime it's
- 50:53Speaker 5: so much, longer and so you go in and during
- 50:57Speaker 5: the regular, season you go into halftime and it's like
- 50:59Speaker 5: you basically have time to get in, there go to the,
- 51:01Speaker 5: bathroom eat an orange, slice and then you're going back
- 51:05Speaker 5: on the. Field so this will be one WHERE i
- 51:07Speaker 5: think the advice they'll get, relax sit.
- 51:09Speaker 11: Down for a little. Bit it's not like a normal.
- 51:11Speaker 5: One but even just throughout this, week how do we
- 51:14Speaker 5: continue to get our team to keep their focus on
- 51:16Speaker 5: what it's supposed to be. On let's keep football the main.
- 51:19Speaker 5: THING i think that's something that both coaches are preaching this.
- 51:21Speaker 6: Week out of all the places you, lived what was your.
- 51:24Speaker 11: Favorite, well SO i played on nine different.
- 51:28Speaker 5: Teams we have seven kids that were born in seven different,
- 51:31Speaker 5: states and so we've got ties to all of.
- 51:35Speaker 11: Them But i'll tell you WHAT i.
- 51:36Speaker 5: Mean buffalo was certainly my favorite team to play, for
- 51:40Speaker 5: and the people in the city Of buffalo are very.
- 51:42Speaker 5: Special but we've had some Great we love living In,
- 51:46Speaker 5: tampa we love our neighbors. There we love living In
- 51:50Speaker 5: New jersey WHEN i was with The, Jets and every
- 51:52Speaker 5: TIME i do, THIS i forget certain areas that we
- 51:54Speaker 5: lived AND i get in. Trouble houston was also, great
- 51:59Speaker 5: but we had a great. Time treated every, stop whether
- 52:02Speaker 5: it was a, year two, years or four, years as
- 52:03Speaker 5: an adventure and really enjoyed.
- 52:05Speaker 1: IT a lot of questions About Drake may's. Shoulder do
- 52:08Speaker 1: you think leading up to The Super bowl sometimes things
- 52:10Speaker 1: are invented for the sake of, invention for something to talk.
- 52:13Speaker 7: About, yeah it's.
- 52:14Speaker 5: Awesome now we get two, weeks you got to keep
- 52:16Speaker 5: coming new things to talk, about.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Right so do you think that's a real. CONCERN i
- 52:20Speaker 1: don't think.
- 52:21Speaker 11: It's a real.
- 52:21Speaker 5: Concern the reason being is sometimes like if you get
- 52:25Speaker 5: hurt early in the season and you have that lingering
- 52:28Speaker 5: shoulder as you all year, long then it just. Continues you,
- 52:31Speaker 5: know there's no stopping until you get a bye. Week
- 52:33Speaker 5: there's no stopping to be able to relax and take
- 52:35Speaker 5: a load. Off but in this, game for these sixty,
- 52:39Speaker 5: minutes there are going to be. Things if he is
- 52:42Speaker 5: not feeling, great they're going to be able to make
- 52:43Speaker 5: him feel great for sixty minutes and he's going to
- 52:45Speaker 5: be able to. Go SO i don't have concerns at
- 52:47Speaker 5: all about his.
- 52:48Speaker 3: Shoulder you LIKE?
- 52:50Speaker 13: Tv is it?
- 52:50Speaker 1: Fun do you do you find yourself studying as much
- 52:53Speaker 1: every week or are you kind of getting into it where
- 52:54Speaker 1: you understand?
- 52:55Speaker 5: It you study in a different, way for, Sure BUT
- 52:59Speaker 5: i really do LIKE. TV a lot of STUFF i
- 53:01Speaker 5: do now isn't necessarily always watching Like The all twenty
- 53:05Speaker 5: two and The it's more watching it as a. Viewer
- 53:08Speaker 5: let's watch a broadcast and let's see what they're talking.
- 53:10Speaker 5: About let's see how the fan is consuming. This BUT i,
- 53:13Speaker 5: do AND i think a lot of it too is
- 53:15Speaker 5: being part of a different. Team the team we have
- 53:17Speaker 5: At amazon is unbelievable from the top, down and the
- 53:21Speaker 5: teammates THAT i get to do it with Every thursday. Night,
- 53:24Speaker 5: Carrissa Tony, Gonzalez Richard, Sherman Andrew. Whitworth we're really tight
- 53:28Speaker 5: group and we really enjoy being on the road with each.
- 53:30Speaker 6: Other how tough is that postgame show where everyone's yelling
- 53:34Speaker 6: while you guys.
- 53:34Speaker 11: Are it's the.
- 53:35Speaker 5: Best it's really starting to really catch on the last four,
- 53:39Speaker 5: years you, know and we know particular cities that we stay.
- 53:42Speaker 5: In if the home team is going to, win the
- 53:45Speaker 5: crowd is going to be much bigger in some of these.
- 53:46Speaker 5: Cities but there's also a lot of brave, fans you,
- 53:50Speaker 5: know the road the road. Team those fans will stick
- 53:53Speaker 5: around and it always gets interesting after the. Game but
- 53:56Speaker 5: it's just the peer PRESSURE i feel to take my
- 53:58Speaker 5: shirt off Every.
- 53:59Speaker 1: Thursday feel Like Burt.
- 54:01Speaker 11: Kreischer, yeah it's Like Burt.
- 54:02Speaker 5: Kreischer AND i actually my oldest daughter is now freshman
- 54:06Speaker 5: in high. School so you can imagine walking home after
- 54:10Speaker 5: or flying home after taking my shirt, off and the
- 54:12Speaker 5: things and the daggers that she stares at me coming
- 54:14Speaker 5: through the door like, that you're embarrassing me.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Again i've talked To andrew a couple of times On,
- 54:19Speaker 1: zoom and THEN i was at a, gym a boxing,
- 54:21Speaker 1: gym and he was there AND i wasn't sure if
- 54:23Speaker 1: it was, him but THEN i actually got closer to.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Him if this were like the fourteen, hundreds he would
- 54:28Speaker 1: own full. Continence he is such a large.
- 54:31Speaker 11: Man such a large.
- 54:33Speaker 5: Man he's probably sixty pounds lighter than at his heaviest as,
- 54:36Speaker 5: well but he's so.
- 54:37Speaker 11: Fit the thing that you don't get about these. Guys,
- 54:40Speaker 11: yes he's sixty, seven which now like oh six, seven
- 54:42Speaker 11: we did think last night he's three hundred.
- 54:45Speaker 5: Pounds but the athleticism on this, guy it's it's. Unbelievable
- 54:49Speaker 5: you have these superhuman athletes that are being put on
- 54:52Speaker 5: the offensive and defensive, lines and he's a great example
- 54:55Speaker 5: of a guy that's now forty three years. Old you
- 54:58Speaker 5: look at, him he's, fit he's in, shape and he's
- 55:00Speaker 5: as flexible like if you went to a hot yoga
- 55:03Speaker 5: class with.
- 55:03Speaker 11: HIM i think he put his foot like behind his.
- 55:06Speaker 11: Head what are we doing that's not supposed to be.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Legal you, know he's.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Something even if you don't know who he, is his
- 55:12Speaker 1: body seem like he's. Something, yeah not SURE ufc, football,
- 55:17Speaker 1: basketball but he's.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Something.
- 55:19Speaker 5: Yeah there were people that were put on this earth
- 55:22Speaker 5: to play professional.
- 55:23Speaker 11: SPORTS i was not one of them this body shape and.
- 55:26Speaker 5: Type, No But Andrew whitworth was put on this earth
- 55:29Speaker 5: to play professional sports and he did it at the highest.
- 55:31Speaker 1: Level you have Your ruba shirt?
- 55:32Speaker 11: On were you?
- 55:33Speaker 5: There so my wife AND i went To. ARUBA i
- 55:36Speaker 5: don't know if you guys have ever, been but this
- 55:38Speaker 5: was my first time and for, us you, know we've
- 55:42Speaker 5: been married for almost twenty years, now we have seven.
- 55:44Speaker 5: Kids we don't get away a, lot so we jumped
- 55:47Speaker 5: on the opportunity to. Go but then it was, like
- 55:48Speaker 5: what are we going to talk? About it was like
- 55:51Speaker 5: a first date all over, again you. Know but they
- 55:54Speaker 5: called the island One happy One Happy island for a,
- 55:56Speaker 5: Reason like we got there right, away you feel so
- 55:59Speaker 5: relaxed and.
- 55:59Speaker 11: Light now we came back feeling so.
- 56:01Speaker 5: Rejuvenated but it was like a great combination of, white
- 56:05Speaker 5: sandy beaches and all the things you. Need but there
- 56:07Speaker 5: was also the adventure being able to go for a
- 56:09Speaker 5: hike in The National, park being able to go to
- 56:11Speaker 5: one of these natural swimming, pools being able to scuba.
- 56:13Speaker 5: Dive all that stuff was, great and we came back
- 56:16Speaker 5: refreshed and ready to.
- 56:17Speaker 1: Go, ryan really appreciate the. Time love your work on.
- 56:20Speaker 3: Television, now all, right.
