- 0:01Hey everybody, welcome to the good morning from the Chicken

- 0:07Am a. Mastermindset coach, creative
- 0:08strategist, and also happened to be a farmer.
- 0:11This is my chicken coop and I come out here every day to
- 0:14record a podcast to teach distinctions, possibilities, new
- 0:18ways of thinking, and just bring some joy into the world.
- 0:21So welcome to the coop and let's start your day off in a
- 0:24fantastic way. Hey everybody, good afternoon
- 0:29from the chicken coop. I'm out here recording
- 0:32tomorrow's message today because I'm out here with the girls.
- 0:36And I had some time and I was like, oh, I'm going to do it
- 0:38right now while they're all here and it's not pitch dark and
- 0:41freezing cold. So let's talk for a moment about
- 0:46how we as human beings, we always have this like, you know,
- 0:51incessant need that to, to shift and make sure we are growing,
- 0:56growing, growing. It's just in our nature and it's
- 0:58wonderful and I'm a big fan of it.
- 1:01But what is the biggest factor in growth?
- 1:04Can you guess what the biggest factor in growth is?
- 1:07Well, in my opinion, I'm sure other people will say something
- 1:10different, but from someone who deals with this all day, every
- 1:12day, this is all I do professionally.
- 1:16I'm telling you, the biggest thing that I can see is your
- 1:18attitude towards yourself. What are you doing to yourself?
- 1:22What are you saying about yourself?
- 1:24How do you talk to yourself? Everything comes back to your
- 1:26attitude towards yourself. And you know how you can kind of
- 1:31confirm this is when you don't feel like doing something.
- 1:34You just like, I don't feel like doing it.
- 1:36I just don't feel it right now. I'm not feeling it.
- 1:38And So what does that come back to?
- 1:40Well, that's part of our emotional well-being and our
- 1:43attitude and it's about ourselves.
- 1:45Like, I don't feel like it. It doesn't ring true to me.
- 1:49I am sitting with it and it doesn't sit well in my gut.
- 1:52We have all kinds of different ways to talk about this.
- 1:56Ultimately though, the real thing is what's the attitude we
- 1:59hold towards ourselves? And that leads into everything
- 2:03that we want to attempt to do. Everything in that we want to
- 2:06attempt to be all of it. It comes back to one simple
- 2:10factor. What do we believe about
- 2:12ourselves and what's that attitude that's driving it?
- 2:15So if I asked you a question, do you like yourself?
- 2:20How would you answer it? Or how about would you be
- 2:22friends with yourself? If you were someone out in this
- 2:26world, would you be friends with you or would you find yourself
- 2:30to be a drag? Can you be honest and answer the
- 2:33question in a in the most forthright way that you can with
- 2:38complete candor? How would you answer it?
- 2:41And I think a lot of people think they might be friends with
- 2:44themselves, but when you start looking at it, it's like maybe I
- 2:48would be a lot, Maybe I wouldn't be as attentive.
- 2:50I know I I'm at Full disclosure, I am not someone that is into
- 2:57making calls every day to my friends.
- 2:58I'm just not it doesn't work that way with me.
- 3:01I am I am very much an an amperever of a person where I am
- 3:07I can go and I can be in with everybody and be totally OK.
- 3:11But then I want to go back home and isolate and be by myself and
- 3:14be very much that introvert and just hang out with chickens and
- 3:19flowers and vegetables and my family.
- 3:22Like it's very clear to me. So am IA good friend.
- 3:27Would I do things for my friends?
- 3:28Sure. But am I someone that's going to
- 3:30check in on you? Probably not as much as you
- 3:33might like. So I might not be the kind of
- 3:36friend that someone would want to have.
- 3:38And if you're, if you're that person, then I'm not your person
- 3:42and I can look at that and I can ask it.
- 3:44And again, my attitude towards myself matters.
- 3:47So I like to ask these questions.
- 3:49Another great one is, am I allowing myself to be creative?
- 3:53Now, these are questions that I ask myself, but you can come up
- 3:56with things that help you define for yourself too.
- 3:59So don't just take mine, but am I allowing myself to be
- 4:01creative? Am I pushing myself to think
- 4:04outside the boundaries that I normally think in?
- 4:08You know, am I growing? Do I feel like this year was a
- 4:11year of growth? Yeah, That was a hell yeah.
- 4:14I learned a lot. I learned a lot about things
- 4:16that I didn't like and a lot about things that I needed to
- 4:20fix and a lot about stuff that I had thought I had lined up that
- 4:24turned out to be really misaligned and I needed to
- 4:27realign it, you know, year of learning.
- 4:31But I feel good about that. So when we get into asking
- 4:36ourselves these questions, what's our attitude towards
- 4:38ourselves? We can make a list as long as we
- 4:41want, as long as we're doing a good job not making it so long
- 4:45that we can't stand ourselves. And a great way to play this
- 4:50game is to do 1 simple question that says, what do I believe
- 4:54about myself? And then you can ask it the
- 4:57other way, which is what do others believe about me?
- 5:00What do I believe others believe about me?
- 5:02That's the right way to say it. And you can sit there and say,
- 5:06hmm, well, I think this is this is how I see me and this is how
- 5:09other people see me. But it all comes back to what's
- 5:12my attitude towards myself. And first and foremost, I think
- 5:15the thing that we need to constantly embed into ourselves
- 5:19is that we will not lie to ourselves because we don't want
- 5:22others to lie to ourselves. So we're not going to lie to
- 5:24ourselves. And if you start this little
- 5:27task off with that intent, like, OK, I'm not going to lie to
- 5:31myself in this and I'm going to see what my attitude towards
- 5:33myself is. Or even if you take that line
- 5:36into 2026 and say I'm not going to spend 2026 lying to myself,
- 5:42you're doing yourself a huge favor because that's going to
- 5:45save you a lot of aggravation. So just something to consider,
- 5:52something to think about as you start to go through and get
- 5:57ready for what's next, my friends.
- 5:59So I hope you have a blessed day and I will see you all tomorrow.
- 6:05Bye.
