Idleness
Scripture and history agree: idleness leads to decay. Earlier generations understood work as a privilege and a duty to God, neighbor, and society. Labor existed before the Fall, and honest work built strong people and nations.
Today, work is treated as a burden to escape rather than a calling to fulfill. When leisure replaces discipline, poverty and disorder follow. A people who despise work impoverish themselves no matter what they believe.
