  Speaker 1: had for a while now, and so I've moved, I

  Speaker 1: mean this process, I'm still trying to figure out what

  Speaker 1: to put my stuff. I go in the closet and

  Speaker 1: I pull out one of my denim shirts one day,

  Speaker 1: put it on and I can't even button it like

  Speaker 1: I was buttoning.

  Speaker 1: Okay, I'm like, I know, my bulls ain't no gruel

  Speaker 1: So I'm like, okay, that's weird. I'm gonna keep it

  Speaker 1: So I picked the shirt, put it on and get

  Speaker 1: the button, and it's snug, and I immediately heard the

  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit say, you can't pour new wine and old

  Speaker 1: wine skins. Oh okay, I said, that's my favorite shirt though,

  Speaker 1: But it was just confirmation that he's doing, he's doing

  Speaker 1: and has done a new thing, and I'm still trying

  Speaker 1: to kind of hold on to some of the old things. Right,

  Speaker 1: So I said, okay, well, let me just partner with
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: you and let me change. And it's like a need

  Speaker 1: to change something, right, Like I want to like let

  Speaker 1: you know that I know you're doing a new thing,

  Speaker 1: and I need to do something externally to like partners

  Speaker 1: and come into agreement with what you're doing on the inside.

  Speaker 2: So just naturally it was time for me changed my hair.

  Speaker 1: And we learned about apologetic so I said, I need

  Speaker 1: And was it random for you? Why did you get rebaptized?

  Speaker 1: You can put it on you, you can just put

  Speaker 1: life the grassy baptized da da dah. I didn't necessarily

  Speaker 1: understand the the ramifications or like the significance of being baptized.

  Speaker 1: And so for me, I'm gonna say, I I re

  Speaker 1: really rededicated my life to God. Uh. You know, when

  Speaker 1: I was on the hospital but I'm almost dying. Uh,

  Speaker 1: I gave God a a a a new yees like
• 14:56
  Speaker 1: you know. So I've been journeying on like. That was
• 14:59
  Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, and so last year I had been
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: thinking about it in my church, and I think since
• 15:06
  Speaker 1: I had been at my church, they had not done
• 15:08
  Speaker 1: we had not done a baptism because we were in
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: like transition of like you know, moving and things like that.

  Speaker 1: So when they talked about doing baptism, it just like
• 15:17
  Speaker 1: kind of like jumped in my spirit, like like it
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: felt like it was something that I need to do
• 15:22
  Speaker 1: as an outward expression of what I knew the journey
• 15:25
  Speaker 1: had been with God.
• 15:25
  Speaker 2: On the inside. So for me, it was almost kind
• 15:29
  Speaker 2: of like a renewal, like a rededication, a like a hey,
• 15:36
  Speaker 2: I am.

  Speaker 1: Professing my my my walk with God and being fresh

  Speaker 1: in this water kind of thing, you know what I'm saying.

  Speaker 1: So it was.

  Speaker 2: I felt like, and it's weird to say, like I

  Speaker 2: felt like I came up lighter. Yeah.

  Speaker 1: It wasn't like I was feeling like super heavy, but

  Speaker 1: it was just almost just like a lightness when I

  Speaker 1: got off out that water because I water was cold, baby,

  Speaker 1: So that was the first time they had used that pool,

  Speaker 1: and it ain't know how to turn to heat on

  Speaker 1: and it was cold. But you know, the experience was

  Speaker 1: just so beautiful, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, And

  Speaker 1: I can't remember it because I slightly remember when I

  Speaker 1: was a youth. But I've really been enjoying journeying with

  Speaker 1: God in my adult life because it's like, man, these

  Speaker 1: experiences are so priceless. Like I don't like people say

  Speaker 1: like journey like faith is weird or it's it's dead

  Speaker 1: or it's boring, and I'm like, baby, I don't'all must

  Speaker 1: not be journeying with Jesus. Yeah, because I've had some

  Speaker 1: amazing experiences and it's not even like I'm necessarily trying

  Speaker 1: to It's just my heart for God. Like I have

  Speaker 1: a heart for God and He's inviting me into these spaces.

  Speaker 1: This is so good and I'm just walking in.

  Speaker 2: You're walking in and it's an open space to walk.

  Speaker 1: So we think God has closed out for us, closed

  Speaker 1: out to us, but we haven't moved to see that

  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. I was watching Dunny Wiggins on I

  Speaker 1: follow her on social media, and I watched her episode

  Speaker 1: And she was she brought up the fact that you know,

  Speaker 1: she had been going through some depression and she had

  Speaker 1: been experiencing, you know, some lows, and God was just

  Speaker 1: trying to get her attention, and so that was her

  Speaker 1: form of rededicating her not even just rededicating her life,

  Speaker 1: but the symbol of, Hey, everything that I've experienced before

  Speaker 1: is getting dipped in this world and I'm coming up

  Speaker 1: on a new And Pastor Darius even gave her a

  Speaker 1: word before she just she said she felt lighter, like
• 19:18
  Speaker 1: you said, and I was like, oh, okay, that's good Lord.

  Speaker 1: And right before I watched it, I had been feeling

  Speaker 1: the urge. I was like, why do I feel like

  Speaker 1: I need to be baptized again? And then I watched

  Speaker 1: that and I was like, I ain't trying to be

  Speaker 1: on no trend, you know what I'm saying. I haven't

  Speaker 1: even posted yet about the baptism just because I'm like,

  Speaker 1: I don't want this to be a cloud thing, but

  Speaker 1: I'm thinking about doing it just because people need to understand.

  Speaker 1: You know, sometimes what you go through or what you're

  Speaker 1: doing is confirmation for the next person, right, And so

  Speaker 1: Like when God wants me to do something, I feel

  Speaker 1: like my my body goes before my mind like it's like,

  Speaker 1: And so, long story short, he goes up and then

  Speaker 1: the same time. But then I go back and sit

  Speaker 1: real because they saw the baby right.

  Speaker 1: be rebaptized because in my mind I'm like, what I

  Speaker 1: need to be rebaptized for Lord? Like I don't I

  Speaker 1: don't really understand, right, And so let me backtrack a

  Speaker 2: I got I decided to get baptized when I was

  Speaker 2: eight years old. Right.

  Speaker 1: I grew up in the Seeing Me Church that stands
• 22:51
  Speaker 1: for Christian methasy Piscopal Church. You're gonna hear me explain
• 22:53
  Speaker 1: a lot of things because sometimes we're so churchy we
• 22:55
  Speaker 1: think that everybody understand the denomination all stuff like that.
• 22:58
  Speaker 2: My daddy is still a seeing me pastor. Right I
• 23:01
  Speaker 2: grew up.
• 23:01
  Speaker 1: I learned about Jesus, all my foundations, seeing me okay,
• 23:05
  Speaker 1: And so I had this this pastor at the time,
• 23:08
  Speaker 1: and my dad was a musician. He wasn't technically a pastor.

  Speaker 1: I think he was in ministry. He was introducing himself
• 23:13
  Speaker 1: in ministry. And we was having a tent We had
• 23:16
  Speaker 1: a tent service. It was on a Sunday, but instead
• 23:20
  Speaker 1: of having service inside, we had service outside on in
• 23:22
  Speaker 1: like the field though in fair Field.
• 23:25
  Speaker 2: Shout out the fair Field. You know what I'm saying.

  Speaker 1: Shady road, seeing me church, that's my heart. And we
• 23:32
  Speaker 1: was outside and I can't remember the word. I cannot
• 23:37
  Speaker 1: remember anything that happened. All I remember is when the
• 23:41
  Speaker 1: invitation was made, my body went. I don't remember making
• 23:45
  Speaker 1: a decision.

  Speaker 2: I can tell now. I know it was holy Spirit.

  Speaker 1: But then every day was like what mate. My dad
• 23:52
  Speaker 1: kept saying because he wasn't paying attention. He was on
• 23:54
  Speaker 1: the bass guitar, just playing, and my uncle Norman looked
• 23:57
  Speaker 1: at him, he said, hey, Hey, you need to pay attention.

  Speaker 2: And literally all I remember is my daddy just full
• 24:04
  Speaker 2: of tears, like he was just so full of joy.
• 24:08
  Speaker 1: And then he asked me, he said, what made you go?
• 24:11
  Speaker 1: And I couldn't even give him and I was like,

  Speaker 1: I don't know, like I just felt I could. All
• 24:14
  Speaker 1: I said was I felt leg because I know nothing
• 24:16
  Speaker 1: about the Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 2: I don't know anything.
• 24:20
  Speaker 1: Me. No, well, they might say it, they say, you
• 24:23
  Speaker 1: know because I was baptized as an eight year old
• 24:26
  Speaker 1: under the Father Son and the Holy Spirit. That's how

  Speaker 1: they do it, right, which people do it different ways
• 24:33
  Speaker 1: or whatever? And I Takenically, I was not dipped. I
• 24:36
  Speaker 1: was sprinkled. So there's different options, right, water is water.
• 24:39
  Speaker 1: But however, I think my experience.

  Speaker 2: Today was definitely different than what I experienced at eight
• 24:44
  Speaker 2: years old. But at eight years old, for one, my
• 24:46
  Speaker 2: heir was done.

  Speaker 1: It was laid prior to the side, Okay, babe, he

  Speaker 1: was not gonna miss my help too much, okay.

  Speaker 2: And then who was gonna push me under the water.

  Speaker 2: Not nobody.

  Speaker 1: I was at eight years old, couldn't swim, don't know what. No,

  Speaker 1: I can't evenally swim. Now we're gonna gets me some listens.

  Speaker 1: So I wasn't doing all that. We sprinkled though.

  Speaker 2: In the water.

  Speaker 1: No, but some people don't do that. I've seen too

  Speaker 1: many videos where it just went wrong. I just that's

  Speaker 1: why you gotta stop watching stuff. You just gotta stop do.

  Speaker 1: You gotta stop watching stuff because it might freak you out,

  Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And then I learned, like

  Speaker 1: I discovered today, it's a trust thing, like because you're

  Speaker 1: giving somebody the control of your body, but you're still

  Speaker 1: you're going willingly right, And it's almost like the relationship

  Speaker 1: with God, like where will you girl?

  Speaker 1: But yeah, you're you're going down there willingly and you

  Speaker 1: allow somebody to dip you water and trust them to

  Speaker 1: bring you back up. Oh my god, you're trusting them

  Speaker 1: to allow you to hold your breath long enough to

  Speaker 1: bring you back up and still be able to breathe,

  Speaker 1: like literally, if.

  Speaker 1: So I'm like, mm hmm. So at eight or eight

  Speaker 1: years old, you ain't gonna catch me doing that. I

  Speaker 1: had an option then, I had an option. We ain't

  Speaker 1: get no option for this. But I remember my past,

  Speaker 1: my then pastor taking me into a room and explaining

  Speaker 1: to me, not baptism.

  Speaker 2: And this is no shade to my.

  Speaker 1: Former denomination and any other dunnomination that does this, but

  Speaker 1: this is my recollection. I remember we sat in the
• 26:25
  Speaker 1: room and he taught me about the dun domination. He
• 26:31
  Speaker 1: didn't really teach me about the baptism. And so for
• 26:35
  Speaker 1: leaders out there like dipping folks in the water and
• 26:37
  Speaker 1: baptizing people like your denomination, that really don't matter when
• 26:42
  Speaker 1: it comes to salvation and Holy Spirit and Jesus don't
• 26:46
  Speaker 1: care about any of it, right, Your your denomination is
• 26:50
  Speaker 1: your choice of ritual doctrine, the rules, the order that
• 26:58
  Speaker 1: you will that you've decided to stand on. But when
• 27:01
  Speaker 1: people like are making a life decision, this is a
• 27:04
  Speaker 1: life decision out a denomination decision. And in that and
• 27:10
  Speaker 1: maybe you know, well, I can't give him no excuse

  Speaker 1: because he was older and he had been in the
• 27:13
  Speaker 1: flock for a minute, but he taught I remember more
• 27:18
  Speaker 1: understanding the order of the denomination versus why I was

  Speaker 1: really what baptism really meant, right, And my own recollection

  Speaker 1: of baptism then was like, oh.

  Speaker 2: I'm saved now, that's how I became saved.

  Speaker 1: That's me saying that, Oh, I'm a Christian now, I

  Speaker 1: can I can identify as a Christian now because I've

  Speaker 1: been baptized.

  Speaker 2: And that's not accurate.

  Speaker 1: There's not, there's not Christianity is shown saying I decide

  Speaker 1: to live a christ Ordain life, like I am a

  Speaker 1: follower of Jesus.

  Speaker 1: It's documented of getting baptized my age, you know, if

  Speaker 1: And so I had this ignorance to I don't know

  Speaker 1: why I'm saying this, but I hope to free somebody.

  Speaker 1: Just because you haven't been baptized does not mean you're

  Speaker 1: listening however, And is there am I encouraging baptism? Yes,

  Speaker 1: because it's something happens. And I'm gonna read this. I'm

  Speaker 1: gonna read the scripture in a minute. But in that moment,

  Speaker 1: as an eight year old, I can just remember the

  Speaker 1: the discipline of being baptized and versus the heartbeat of baptism,

  Speaker 1: When Holy Spirit told me, hey, get rebaptized, I'm like, now,

  Speaker 1: remember I said three times. The second time was at

  Speaker 1: a retreat that I hosted and shout out to my Marianne.

  Speaker 1: I love Marianne. She is a powerhouse for God. She

  Speaker 1: was like, I just since, I just since we need

  Speaker 1: to I gotta be baptized. I'm like, who gonna baptize

  Speaker 1: because baby, she don't like. When she filled the holy beer,

  Speaker 1: I said, baby, well, who's gonna baptize you?

  Speaker 2: And what were doing? She was like, we can do.

  Speaker 2: We did it into Jacuzie.

  Speaker 1: We baptized in the Jacuzie and Tamika and she I said, Tomika,

  Speaker 1: I ain't I ain't no pastor, ain't ain't no ordained Minster.

  Speaker 1: I'm not baptized nobody. So if anybody gonn baptized, I

  Speaker 1: help you. I'll be a sister. But if you say yes,

  Speaker 1: you know we can baptize. She was like, I ain't

  Speaker 1: never done it, but I'm gonna go by faith. So

  Speaker 1: we just and we baptized and and marian was so specific.

  Speaker 1: This was the first time I heard I don't want

  Speaker 1: to be baptized in anything else but the name of

  Speaker 1: Jesus right, And I didn't know that was a big deal.

  Speaker 2: I didn't know that was a big deal until she

  Speaker 2: said it. I was like, it made me think. I

  Speaker 2: was like, well, what what was our baptized?

  Speaker 1: Then? Why was I baptizing the name of the Father

  Speaker 1: Son and Holy Spirit? I get the Trinity? However, and

  Speaker 1: scripturally I'm learning that the apostles right, they were baptizing

  Speaker 1: in the name of the Lord, of the name.

  Speaker 2: Of Jesus right.

  Speaker 1: And so you know, I'm not here to God, listen,

  Speaker 1: let me tell you something. I ain't here to argue

  Speaker 1: by what name you was baptizing. I'm just here to

  Speaker 1: tell a story, so you can, you know, understand a

  Speaker 1: little little testimony. So the second time was at the retreat,

  Speaker 1: and then I don't think I was led by Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 1: Then I think I wanted it because I had just

  Speaker 1: revealed this huge opportunity in my life. I had confessed.

  Speaker 1: They said, confess your sins to one another, and you
• 30:50
  Speaker 1: be free. I did that in front of women, and

  Speaker 1: the confession was kind of like, Jesus, maybe we'll get
• 30:57
  Speaker 1: into that.

  Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm not gonna push the Lord that

  Speaker 2: made me say it. Okay, but it was a confession

  Speaker 2: and the confession was pretty heavy. So I was like,

  Speaker 2: who let me watch this out?

  Speaker 1: Let me watch this all playing because I was in

  Speaker 1: a shower when the Lord told me I had a

  Speaker 1: whole different message.

  Speaker 2: I had a message, and the Lord didn't give me

  Speaker 2: the end of the missage.

  Speaker 1: I was in the shower thirty minutes before I went

  Speaker 1: downstairs to deliver the message at the retreat.

  Speaker 2: And so I'm being baptized in the shower.

  Speaker 2: I don't want to see it. I don't want to

  Speaker 1: all the things everybody else is doing, I got a

  Speaker 1: but I just I'm getting to the point now, not

  Speaker 1: where I'm getting comfortable, like where I'm not going anywhere,

  Speaker 1: but I'm just kind of settling into the journey right

  Speaker 1: and me settling and into the journey is just gonna

  Speaker 1: help me stay focused on where He's taking me and

  Speaker 1: not looking to the left and to the right at

  Speaker 1: what everybody else is doing or even where I came from,

  Speaker 1: because I feel like where I came from was a

  Speaker 1: lot better than where I am right now.

  Speaker 1: But I just have to keep remembering that it's a journey,

  Speaker 1: So I have to be okay with coming out being bolder,

  Speaker 1: stepping into these different spaces of boldness and being coreat

  Speaker 1: just and all these things and borrowing, as coach JD said,

  Speaker 1: from a little bit more my list of strengths. So

  Speaker 1: that's it, Like it's we're journeying, Like it's not a

  Speaker 1: permanent thing. You know what I'm saying, This is a

  Speaker 1: temporary space that's necessary. Like you don't want God to

  Speaker 1: bring you what he's shown you where you are because

  Speaker 1: So we have to allow the process to be what

  Speaker 1: staying Like a lot of people can descend and get
