- 0:07Speaker 1: Haley Louisa twentieth chapter because full of Saint John, the
- 0:10Speaker 1: eighteenth verse through the twenty second verse, and then we're
- 0:13Speaker 1: going to read twenty six through thirty one. When you
- 0:15Speaker 1: have it, say, man, would you stand to your feet
- 0:18Speaker 1: and let's read from God's word as a family. I
- 0:21Speaker 1: like to speak the word out into the atmosphere. Then
- 0:25Speaker 1: it devils around. They can hear the word of God. Amen,
- 0:30Speaker 1: we speak it out. Somebody's arthritis will leap out of
- 0:33Speaker 1: their need and might if they just hear the word
- 0:36Speaker 1: of the Lord. The eighteenth verse to the twenty second verse.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Let's read together. I may drop out, but you continue.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Mary Magdalen came and told the disciples that she had
- 0:47Speaker 1: seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things
- 0:51Speaker 1: under her. Then the same day he breathed on them
- 1:34Speaker 1: and fared under them. Receive ye the Holy Ghost verse
- 1:38Speaker 1: twenty six and after eight days again continue which are
- 2:32Speaker 1: not written in this book, but these are written that
- 2:36Speaker 1: ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son
- 2:41Speaker 1: of God, and that believing ye might have life through
- 2:45Speaker 1: his name. Can you say, man, look just a moment
- 2:48Speaker 1: at that nineteenth verse. That's where we're going to vocalize
- 2:51Speaker 1: our attention for this evening. Then the same day, at
- 2:55Speaker 1: evening being the first day of the week, when the
- 2:58Speaker 1: doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for Peer
- 3:03Speaker 1: of the Jews, King Jesus, and stood in the midst
- 3:08Speaker 1: and saith unto them.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Peace be unto you.
- 3:13Speaker 1: My subject tonight is behind closed doors. Behind closed doors,
- 3:19Speaker 1: let's pray while we're standing. Spirit of the Lord, God,
- 3:23Speaker 1: fall in this place for your own purpose, manifest and reveale,
- 3:30Speaker 1: illuminate and declare.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Your glory unto this house. Gracious God, that you are provoked.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Us to move into new dimensions and realms of authority
- 3:46Speaker 1: over the enemy. I thank you for what you've already done.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I thank you for what you're doing right now, but
- 3:53Speaker 1: most of all, I thank you for what you're about
- 3:56Speaker 1: to do. Have you awake God in the matter name
- 3:59Speaker 1: of Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen and Amen,
- 4:04Speaker 1: you may be seated in the presence of our God.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Thank you, Jesus.
- 4:11Speaker 1: One of the things that I think that I most
- 4:14Speaker 1: enjoy about the Word of the Lord is God's candidness
- 4:18Speaker 1: in giving us a total panoramic.
- 4:21Speaker 2: View of the lives of the people that he uses.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'm going to ask a brother to keep the monitors
- 4:26Speaker 1: up and take a little base out. I brought my
- 4:29Speaker 1: own based drum with man. He said, all right, God
- 4:33Speaker 1: is candid enough to give us a panoramic, a total
- 4:38Speaker 1: view of spectrum of the lives of the people that
- 4:41Speaker 1: he uses, because He has in mind certain things that
- 4:47Speaker 1: we need to see so that we can relate to
- 4:50Speaker 1: the men in the scriptures. It's important that we see
- 4:54Speaker 1: the total spectrum of walking with God because we have
- 4:58Speaker 1: a tendency to be super official in our understanding about God.
- 5:04Speaker 1: When we get together. Most of the time we share
- 5:08Speaker 1: things with one another that are not altogether helpful, but
- 5:13Speaker 1: they are acceptable, and there comes a weirdiness in your
- 5:18Speaker 1: spirit when people are just telling you what's acceptable and
- 5:22Speaker 1: not sharing.
- 5:23Speaker 2: What is really helpful.
- 5:26Speaker 1: We need to be able to see the total spectrum
- 5:29Speaker 1: of a progressive walk with God. We need to understand
- 5:33Speaker 1: your successes, and we thank God for all of the
- 5:36Speaker 1: accolades that should be accredited to your account. But we
- 5:40Speaker 1: also need to hear about your fears and failures and
- 5:45Speaker 1: frustrations so that there might be some point of relativity
- 5:49Speaker 1: between you and us. If you're really going to help me.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I need to not understand only that you got there,
- 5:57Speaker 1: but how you got there, so that I can methodically
- 6:01Speaker 1: follow reasoning in my mind a progression and not be
- 6:05Speaker 1: discouraged by your testimony, but be blessed by your testimony.
- 6:11Speaker 1: When you tell me that the Lord healed you, and
- 6:15Speaker 1: you don't tell me that you prayed a long time
- 6:19Speaker 1: and had to quote many scriptures and went through many
- 6:22Speaker 1: sick days before the manifestation of your healing, then your
- 6:27Speaker 1: testimony doesn't necessarily do in me what it ought to do,
- 6:31Speaker 1: because it discourages what is.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Meant to be uplifted.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And I just praised God for sharing ordinary events, not
- 6:43Speaker 1: just successes. I praise God for showing us that there
- 6:48Speaker 1: are times that even those who walked the most closely
- 6:51Speaker 1: with Him did not understand what in the world he
- 6:55Speaker 1: was doing, because sometimes I do not know what God doing.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Sometimes he goes right when I was sure he was
- 7:06Speaker 1: going to go left, and I've already told everybody he
- 7:10Speaker 1: was going left, and he goes right and he doesn't
- 7:12Speaker 1: even tell me, and then I've got to adjust the
- 7:15Speaker 1: message to what God has done. There are times that
- 7:20Speaker 1: I think He's going to establish it one way, and
- 7:23Speaker 1: then he deviates and digresses and goes to a cross
- 7:27Speaker 1: when I've already told everybody he's going to a throne.
- 7:30Speaker 1: And there are times that that disappointment grips my theology.
- 7:34Speaker 1: My message has destroyed, my point of references is totally
- 7:39Speaker 1: rear raised, and I'm left standing there with wrinkles on
- 7:42Speaker 1: my forehead saying.
- 7:43Speaker 2: God, what are you doing?
- 7:54Speaker 1: My disciples were in that type of dilemma, and it's
- 7:58Speaker 1: when you become confused about what God is doing that
- 8:01Speaker 1: it forces you to leave the spotlight and recede back
- 8:07Speaker 1: into the shadows and shut yourself in behind closed doors.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I used to not want to go through times of isolation,
- 8:22Speaker 1: but it is in an isolation that revelation is provided.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I used to think that the best times I could
- 8:32Speaker 1: have was when everybody was around same praise.
- 8:35Speaker 2: The Lord and thank you Jesus and glory to God.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I thought that my strength was really perfected in crowds.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I didn't realize that the best moments of your Christian
- 8:47Speaker 1: growth happen when nobody is around but you and God.
- 8:54Speaker 2: It is there that God.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Perfects not only your ministry but your motives and make
- 9:01Speaker 1: sure that not only are you doing the right thing,
- 9:03Speaker 1: but that you're doing it for the right reason. For
- 9:10Speaker 1: if our motives are not right, then ultimately our effect
- 9:15Speaker 1: will not be right. Because while men judge on the
- 9:18Speaker 1: output appear, God looks at the heart. And if you
- 9:23Speaker 1: are not intending to do it for a right reason,
- 9:28Speaker 1: then it's burned in the fire and it's good for nothing.
- 9:32Speaker 1: The word of God is quick and sharper than any two,
- 9:34Speaker 1: his sword casting a thunder body, soul and spirit, bone
- 9:38Speaker 1: and marrow. The scripture talks about spirit and soul and
- 9:42Speaker 1: is a discerner of the thoughts and the intense of
- 9:45Speaker 1: the heart.
- 9:45Speaker 2: That's pretty sharp.
- 9:46Speaker 1: There's never been a surgeon who's made us capital that
- 9:49Speaker 1: could get in between the thoughts and the intents of
- 9:52Speaker 1: the heart. But God can cut in between your thoughts,
- 9:55Speaker 1: your fantasies, your dreams.
- 9:57Speaker 2: And your ideas.
- 10:01Speaker 1: If you don't want him to get in your business,
- 10:02Speaker 1: don't talk to God, ah, because God will.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Get in your business.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Not too long ago, I my mother was feeling a
- 10:18Speaker 1: little under the weather. And you know, as people get
- 10:22Speaker 1: up in years, they become more vulnerable to certain sicknesses
- 10:25Speaker 1: and ailments. And uh, we told her mother, you better
- 10:28Speaker 1: check that out because you're not feeling good. She was
- 10:30Speaker 1: gaining weight and something was awry. She went to the
- 10:34Speaker 1: doctor and the doctor said that she had a cluster
- 10:36Speaker 1: of tumors in the lower part of her stomach that
- 10:40Speaker 1: I think he said they were about as big as
- 10:42Speaker 1: a grapefruit. And we were very very concerned. I've already
- 10:46Speaker 1: lost my father, and we were very very concerned, uh
- 10:49Speaker 1: about my mother, and we just begin to pray and
- 10:52Speaker 1: begin to believe God. And my mother went in the
- 10:55Speaker 1: hospital and they found out that the tumors were benign,
- 10:59Speaker 1: and and we praise the Lord for that. They took
- 11:02Speaker 1: the tumors out and she went through the stages of recovery,
- 11:07Speaker 1: and I began to understand that healing is a process.
- 11:11Speaker 1: No matter what kind of healing you're talking about. You
- 11:14Speaker 1: don't get over anything instantly. It takes time for you
- 11:17Speaker 1: to get backed up to snuff again. And when mother
- 11:20Speaker 1: came out of surgery, we were happy that it was
- 11:23Speaker 1: not cancers, but Lord, she was in so much pain,
- 11:27Speaker 1: and I thought they were gonna baby her, nurse her,
- 11:30Speaker 1: because I am my mother's youngest child and very very
- 11:33Speaker 1: very part to her, and I thought, you know, I'm
- 11:36Speaker 1: taking canceling engagements and hanging around, you know, just in case.
- 11:43Speaker 2: And the nurse that took care of my mother.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Was the meanness, most vicious, despectable creature I have ever
- 11:57Speaker 1: seen in my life.
- 12:00Speaker 2: She came in the room the.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Next morning and she said, get up out of the bed.
- 12:05Speaker 2: We need you to walk.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Come on, come on, you can get up.
- 12:07Speaker 2: My mother was groaning in pain. She jerks her up
- 12:10Speaker 2: and says, you've got to walk.
- 12:11Speaker 1: The doctor says you've got to I had to go
- 12:13Speaker 1: in the bathroom and speak in tongues. I hope I'm
- 12:21Speaker 1: not ruining my chances of coming back. But the real
- 12:23Speaker 1: truth of the matter is, Adam stood up. I didn't
- 12:25Speaker 1: feel no Christ knowing, knowing to flesh came all over
- 12:29Speaker 1: my head. I felt like a suamurai warrior. I was
- 12:33Speaker 1: ready to book in. And I know you wouldn't have
- 12:44Speaker 1: done it, but you pray for me. She and I
- 12:47Speaker 1: had a long conversation amen and no scriptions at all.
- 12:55Speaker 1: But I noticed something about the evening shift nurse when
- 12:58Speaker 1: she came on and she got ready to walk my mother.
- 13:02Speaker 1: She says, now we need you to get up and walk.
- 13:06Speaker 1: She says, but just sit up first, take your time,
- 13:10Speaker 1: get your breath easy, not too fast, she says, not.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Just put your weight down gently and take a step.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I'm going to help you. She says, take another step.
- 13:25Speaker 1: And she dealt with my mother so gently well, being
- 13:29Speaker 1: the kind of PRIs. I said, what is wrong with
- 13:31Speaker 1: the woman on the day ship? She said, well, what
- 13:38Speaker 1: do you mean? I said, that woman acts like a gorilla?
- 13:44Speaker 1: And she said, well, she said, really, she said, Reverend Action,
- 13:48Speaker 1: she is a very good nurse.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And I didn't get with that. She says, she's excellent.
- 13:54Speaker 1: She's well educated, and she graduated on a honor row
- 13:58Speaker 1: out of her school. She came highly recommended. And she said,
- 14:03Speaker 1: if there is any difference between she and I, it
- 14:06Speaker 1: would have to lie in this fact.
- 14:09Speaker 2: She said.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You see, not too long ago, I went through the
- 14:13Speaker 1: same surgery that your mother is going through, and I
- 14:18Speaker 1: understand how.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Your mother feels, and you not know.
- 14:23Speaker 1: God begin to take my mind out of the hospital
- 14:26Speaker 1: into the ministry, and I begin to understand that if
- 14:29Speaker 1: you're really going to be able to minister to somebody,
- 14:32Speaker 1: you have to be able to relate to how they
- 14:35Speaker 1: feel without relativity. You've just got theology and information and
- 14:41Speaker 1: doctrine and philosophy.
- 14:43Speaker 3: And it really won't.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Help anybody there until you've been where I've been and
- 14:48Speaker 1: felp what I said. Jesus told the disciples. He said,
- 14:58Speaker 1: when you get ready to pray, don't pray like the Pharisees.
- 15:01Speaker 1: They're always trying to impress people publicly and to be
- 15:04Speaker 1: profound publicly. He said, But when you really want to
- 15:07Speaker 1: break to enter into your secret closet and shut the door,
- 15:11Speaker 1: five am the God who hears in secret and will
- 15:15Speaker 1: reward you openly. God is going to pay you on
- 15:22Speaker 1: the basis of what happens to you behind closed doors.
- 15:30Speaker 1: He's not paying for your public oratorical ability. He's not
- 15:36Speaker 1: paying much for your theology, or your divinity or your seminary.
- 15:39Speaker 1: He's not paying much for how well you sing, or
- 15:43Speaker 1: how well you're able to do, how well.
- 15:45Speaker 2: You move the crowd.
- 15:47Speaker 1: God is really going to bless you on the times
- 15:50Speaker 1: when you're shut up in a room with silent tears
- 15:55Speaker 1: streaming down your face, with moanings and groanings. Like Jesus,
- 16:00Speaker 1: somebody said he grown within himself, a grown so sore
- 16:04Speaker 1: that the person laying next to you cannot hear it,
- 16:07Speaker 1: but a grown so loud that Heaven said like, yeah,
- 16:10Speaker 1: the cry of the Righteous God, It's going.
- 16:13Speaker 2: To reward your fault.
- 16:14Speaker 1: What happens to you behind close doors? That disciples were
- 16:24Speaker 1: shut up in the room. They were not seeking the Lord.
- 16:31Speaker 1: They were shut up with the door closed for fear
- 16:38Speaker 1: of the Jews.
- 16:39Speaker 2: One of the.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Things that church people we have got to be careful
- 16:42Speaker 1: about when we get together is that we make it count,
- 16:47Speaker 1: because we can get together and do absolutely nothing.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Have you ever gotten around with a.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Bunch of ministers, just a bunch of ministers over at
- 16:55Speaker 1: Dennis or somewhere, just sitting down drinking some coffee and
- 16:58Speaker 1: eating a hot dog with with mustard done it or something,
- 17:01Speaker 1: and everybody's sitting around trying.
- 17:03Speaker 2: To be so imprisive. How many are you running in
- 17:08Speaker 2: Sunday school? Doc? How's your building from coming? Doc? How
- 17:13Speaker 2: many people were your building? Say? Doc? Who have your
- 17:16Speaker 2: preached for it lately? Doc? How many are you taking
- 17:19Speaker 2: in on Sunday? Doc?
- 17:20Speaker 1: Listen, when we get together without Jesus, we just get on.
- 17:24Speaker 2: One another's name.
- 17:26Speaker 1: You're not going to get a breakthrough getting together with flesh.
- 17:30Speaker 2: We need Jesus to come. Well, we are.
- 17:35Speaker 1: A move from God. As long as they were assembled
- 17:43Speaker 1: together without Jesus, the only real emotion was fear. Whenever
- 17:49Speaker 1: we get together without Him, we just intimidate each other.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Oh help me Lord tonight. I thank God because in
- 18:05Speaker 2: spite of their.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Isolation and even their frustration, in spite of the fact
- 18:11Speaker 1: that they were shut up behind closed doors, I thank
- 18:16Speaker 1: God that he came where they were, that when they
- 18:22Speaker 1: were no longer interested in pursuing him, that he pursued
- 18:27Speaker 1: them and came, And in spite of the obstacle, he
- 18:31Speaker 1: came through the door. Have you ever had a door
- 18:34Speaker 1: up in your life, a wall or a burying God
- 18:37Speaker 1: had to get through it to get to you, but
- 18:39Speaker 1: he loved you enough to deal with your hang ups,
- 18:42Speaker 1: all of your inhibitsiness. Have you ever had God walked
- 18:45Speaker 1: through a door to come where up with nothing else
- 18:48Speaker 1: for help, and nobody else would help you? Way for
- 18:52Speaker 1: being aven a walk through the door, He'll come where
- 18:55Speaker 1: you are. He stopped through the door him to minister
- 19:01Speaker 1: to them. Whenever God gets ready to do something really profound.
- 19:04Speaker 2: He does it behind closed doors.
- 19:07Speaker 1: When the window was all upset, she said, I've got
- 19:09Speaker 1: two sons, and that we don't have nothing but a
- 19:12Speaker 1: pot of oil. And he said, go send your sons
- 19:14Speaker 1: out into the community and borrow into missiles. You in debt,
- 19:18Speaker 1: he says, get in deeper debt. Strange, get in more debt.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Borrow a bunch of vessels, and borrow not a few,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and bring them into.
- 19:28Speaker 3: The house and shut the door.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And when she brought the vessels into the house and
- 19:34Speaker 1: shut the door, it provoked the oil.
- 19:37Speaker 2: To begin to pour.
- 19:38Speaker 1: There is an annoyting that you will never get in
- 19:41Speaker 1: the crowd. It all live happened when you come to
- 19:44Speaker 1: foregad get tilly and openlyft and said, Lord, the lights.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Out in the church, and the crowd is gone.
- 19:50Speaker 1: And I need you to revive me and refresh me
- 19:54Speaker 1: and refranish me, and enabled me to do it again,
- 19:57Speaker 1: and they.
- 19:57Speaker 2: All will flow.
- 20:05Speaker 4: H the overflow behind closed doors. You really wanted to
- 20:14Speaker 4: be anointed, Come out, oh you little church, close a
- 20:19Speaker 4: religious face, take your pastor's hat off, and take evangelist's
- 20:25Speaker 4: badge off. Just shut yourself up and say, Lord, I've
- 20:29Speaker 4: been encouraging other people, but I'm discouraged myself. I'm given
- 20:34Speaker 4: all my courage away and now I need some courage
- 20:37Speaker 4: to go on.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Can you send me any courage. Can you send me.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Any great the Bible said, as long as there worth
- 20:42Speaker 1: an empty vessel behind closed doors or just sleid. I
- 20:47Speaker 1: believe that if we were just open up tonight and
- 20:50Speaker 1: just lay there before God, that God.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Would release oil in this place.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Because sometimes when you're involved in ministry, you can't admit
- 21:02Speaker 1: that you need more oil. People demand that you be
- 21:07Speaker 1: such a hero that you never get to open up.
- 21:10Speaker 2: And say, God, I'm tired.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I'm tired, and I need to be revived and refurbished
- 21:16Speaker 1: and refreshed. When Jerius came to Jesus and told him
- 21:25Speaker 1: that his daughter was dead, Jesus walked into the funeral,
- 21:30Speaker 1: stepped past all the mourners, went up to the little
- 21:34Speaker 1: girl's room and shut the door and spoke to a
- 21:40Speaker 1: dead girl and said, tonight, th coo, my damsel, arise.
- 21:49Speaker 2: And he woke her up, not publicly, but privately.
- 21:56Speaker 1: He revived the dead things in prim at places. When
- 22:02Speaker 1: everybody was sure she was finished, he shut up in
- 22:07Speaker 1: the room with her and told her something that made
- 22:11Speaker 1: her able to.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Sit up on the bed.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Some of you are surrounded by people who are sure
- 22:18Speaker 1: you're finished, but the devil is alone.
- 22:24Speaker 2: God's going to come in the room and tell you something.
- 22:27Speaker 1: That revives you and refreshes you. Tell them to send
- 22:31Speaker 1: the flowers back. It's not gonna be a funeral to
- 22:34Speaker 1: light by. Come look at somebody and tell him it's
- 22:42Speaker 1: time to get up. There's something that God wants to
- 22:49Speaker 1: tell you, that wants s turn you up on your.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Feet to light back.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Kuma, I'm not finished with you. Put all the mourners
- 22:58Speaker 1: out up, I'm going to Usa.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Oh my God, all of this happens.
- 23:04Speaker 1: All of this happens behind closed doors. Lass rose from
- 23:09Speaker 1: the dead, out from the vision of the people. When
- 23:12Speaker 1: they saw him, he was already leaping and moving and
- 23:15Speaker 1: going forward. My believings in meetings like this that God
- 23:18Speaker 1: calls us together so that he can rejuvenate us and
- 23:21Speaker 1: revive us, so that when we get back into the
- 23:23Speaker 1: mainstream of our company, that we will be leaping and
- 23:27Speaker 1: working and going forward in His name. Even Jesus woke
- 23:33Speaker 1: up behind closed doors, shut up in a tomb, unlike Landrais.
- 23:40Speaker 1: He didn't have anybody to loose him. But when they
- 23:44Speaker 1: woke up, he loosed himself. And you know, sometimes you
- 23:48Speaker 1: got to loose yourself. You can't wait on anybody doing
- 23:52Speaker 1: wrap you every now and then, Preacher, you got to
- 23:54Speaker 1: go in the closet somewhere such or some up in
- 23:56Speaker 1: the bathroom and lose yourself.
- 23:58Speaker 5: Jesus didn't have.
- 23:59Speaker 2: It out of him.
- 24:01Speaker 1: He simply roots himself, loosed himself, stepped out of the
- 24:08Speaker 1: wrappings and hel Lazarus a pound and incompetent, and I'm
- 24:12Speaker 1: able to be released, and stepped out naked, didn't have
- 24:15Speaker 1: anything to wear, fold him up a death knocking and said,
- 24:18Speaker 1: if I'm gonna walk out of here, I'm gonna need
- 24:20Speaker 1: some care. Squoke him an outfit and to existing step
- 24:24Speaker 1: forwhim to a gardener.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Sir walked out in the gardener and said, Mary.
- 24:28Speaker 1: She said, Rappony, sometimes you got to encourage yourself, loots yourself, put.
- 24:35Speaker 2: On the garment of quay from the spirit.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Of heaven, and step out in the gardener and preach
- 24:41Speaker 1: the wad.
- 24:43Speaker 3: He made.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Well, let me get to the crunch of this.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory. Put your
- 24:58Speaker 1: hands together, and let's celebrate the Lord tonight.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Why he came through the door God.
- 25:15Speaker 1: The responsibility of reconciliation in every case has always God
- 25:19Speaker 1: reconciling himself untrust God was in Christ reconciling the world
- 25:23Speaker 1: unto himself. It was not Adam that search through the
- 25:25Speaker 1: garden looking for God. It was God who search through
- 25:27Speaker 1: the garden looking for Adam, saying, Adam, where art thou.
- 25:30Speaker 1: To Elijah, he said, what doest thou?
- 25:33Speaker 2: Here? In every instance, says God, who.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Assumes the responsibility of reconciliation. And even here he walks
- 25:40Speaker 1: through the door. But he does something that we must not.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Having walked through the door, his appearance did not impress them.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Neither did his method of coming into the room impress them.
- 25:53Speaker 2: And so he gave his little message.
- 25:55Speaker 1: He walked through the door and said, peace be unto you.
- 26:02Speaker 1: But his message failed to impress them. He said the
- 26:11Speaker 1: right thing, but it didn't have the right effect. Peace
- 26:19Speaker 1: be unto you. Those are the words that impress the
- 26:22Speaker 1: winds and waves, even when the waves like that, when
- 26:27Speaker 1: he said.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Peace be still.
- 26:30Speaker 1: But now his disciples has hi the government of the
- 26:33Speaker 1: early Church has a symbol toinggether.
- 26:35Speaker 3: And he said the right thing and has not done
- 26:38Speaker 3: the right an.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Have you ever.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Preached the right message and got the wrong results?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Have you ever set out.
- 26:43Speaker 1: To do something good and did not didn't be a
- 26:45Speaker 1: fact that.
- 26:46Speaker 2: You thought it up to half. He said peace be
- 26:50Speaker 2: unto you, But they were not impressed.
- 26:56Speaker 1: We are dealing with the generation of people who are
- 27:00Speaker 1: not easily impressed. They seen all the gimmicks and tricks,
- 27:09Speaker 1: all the theatrics. They've heard all the great speakers. All
- 27:14Speaker 1: religions have their speakers who are prominent and profound, regardless
- 27:18Speaker 1: of their message. They all have speakers who can move crowds.
- 27:23Speaker 1: And the world is not impressed. Jesus walked through the
- 27:28Speaker 1: door to his own leadership and gave the message that
- 27:34Speaker 1: failed to impress. And when he said peace be unto you,
- 27:39Speaker 1: and it moved nobody. He moved into the mainstay of ministry.
- 27:48Speaker 2: He began uncover his wounds.
- 28:01Speaker 1: It won't be your message that moves this crowd we
- 28:06Speaker 1: wrestled with today. It won't be your theatrics or your
- 28:11Speaker 1: style of delivery that moves this crack infested age in
- 28:15Speaker 1: which we walk with today. They are not impressed by
- 28:20Speaker 1: all of your autorical skills. They have already the finest
- 28:25Speaker 1: swillings and risings of voice. They've already heard all of
- 28:28Speaker 1: accolades and degrees, and the education. But what we need
- 28:32Speaker 1: is believeble heroes who are not afraid to show their rules.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Some of us are hiding the very thing we.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Ought to expose, our vulnerability, our woundings, our cuttings, our bleeder.
- 28:49Speaker 1: We need believable hero. We don't need Superman. We need content.
- 28:54Speaker 1: We need somebody we understand. Take off your suit, put
- 28:59Speaker 1: your paper clause.
- 29:00Speaker 5: We need somebody.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Give me a hero that I understand.
- 29:20Speaker 1: If you really want to impress me and move me
- 29:25Speaker 1: and change me, don't tell me all about your successes.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Hey man, show me your wounds, Show me what you
- 29:37Speaker 1: went through to get where you are. Show me how
- 29:42Speaker 1: you're bled to get where you are. Show me how
- 29:47Speaker 1: you suffer to get where you are. Because pain is
- 29:50Speaker 1: something everybody can relate to. Let me know that it
- 29:54Speaker 1: costs something to become great. Nobody can give you greatness.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Everybody has their own cross. The criteria for being a
- 30:05Speaker 1: Christian is very simple. Believe on the Lord Jesus can
- 30:08Speaker 1: now shall be saved. But for a disciple, they're the
- 30:13Speaker 1: deeper level of commitment. If you're going to be a disciple,
- 30:17Speaker 1: you got to pick.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Up a cross.
- 30:20Speaker 1: And deny yourself and begin to walk with something on
- 30:24Speaker 1: your back. And some of you are here tonight and
- 30:27Speaker 1: people are grinning at you, and you're smiling at everybody,
- 30:30Speaker 1: but they don't know that you're walking with something on
- 30:34Speaker 1: your back.
- 30:37Speaker 2: The Lord whoked me up the other money. You know
- 30:38Speaker 2: what he said to me.
- 30:39Speaker 1: He said, one of the problems with our people is
- 30:42Speaker 1: that they fail to recognize their cross.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Because we're looking for two.
- 30:50Speaker 1: By fours that have been nailed together and varnished with
- 30:53Speaker 1: polyurethane and send it down. We're looking for a nice, little, pretty,
- 30:59Speaker 1: theatrical MGM type crosses, right, But somebody's cross is their marriage.
- 31:10Speaker 1: I want to help you identify some crosses. Isn't it
- 31:19Speaker 1: amazing how you can be so successful in one area?
- 31:24Speaker 1: Or you can't even smile now, can you? Because you
- 31:26Speaker 1: don't want anybody to know that there might be some
- 31:30Speaker 1: area in your life. But I guarantee you, for every
- 31:34Speaker 1: person in this room, somewhere there is.
- 31:37Speaker 3: A cross in your life. You might not talk about it.
- 31:41Speaker 1: You might not admit that, you might always act like
- 31:43Speaker 1: everything's all right. You might step and dance and flip
- 31:46Speaker 1: and flop, but somewhere in your life that's something that
- 31:50Speaker 1: makes you cry and.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Drawn when you think about it.
- 31:55Speaker 1: By that God Jesus, that's got a cross. Something you're
- 32:06Speaker 1: nailed to that hurts you. A ministry that's not growing across,
- 32:15Speaker 1: a people who do not appreciate you, a job that
- 32:19Speaker 1: seems like it's not going anywhere, a child that this
- 32:25Speaker 1: respects you.
- 32:26Speaker 2: A failure, a fault, a flaw.
- 32:30Speaker 1: A breaking, a cracking, an incident and occurrence. Everybody has
- 32:37Speaker 1: a cross. But there is glory in the cross. Oh Hallelujah.
- 32:47Speaker 1: We glory in our infirmities. We glory because we begin
- 32:52Speaker 1: to understand that it is not our message that's going
- 32:56Speaker 1: to move the world. It is our rules. And when
- 32:59Speaker 1: you pray, Lord, use me, use me, use me. You
- 33:02Speaker 1: might have said, might as Westrop said, cruise some fine
- 33:04Speaker 1: may cruise some fine man because it's not your piece.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Be unto you. But when you show.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Them your wounds, touched three people and tell him, I
- 33:17Speaker 1: need to see your wounds so I can understand what
- 33:22Speaker 1: I'm going through. I need to see your wounds so
- 33:25Speaker 1: I don't feel so old that I need to see
- 33:27Speaker 1: your wounds so I can understand what's going on in
- 33:30Speaker 1: my life.
- 33:31Speaker 2: I need to see your wound.
- 33:32Speaker 1: You act like there's nothing wrong with you, and I'm
- 33:34Speaker 1: bleeding right beside you.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Let me see your woman. Jesus look in here.
- 33:38Speaker 2: For us exposed his wounds.
- 33:51Speaker 1: The Bible says, then they were glad when they saw
- 33:55Speaker 1: the Lord, when they saw his wounds. Now they wearing dressed,
- 34:00Speaker 1: and then he says, peace be unto you, and they
- 34:03Speaker 1: begin to rejoice. The real credentials behind your message is
- 34:10Speaker 1: your pain. The thing that made the nurse such a
- 34:15Speaker 1: good nurse is her past pain. That has to be
- 34:20Speaker 1: the motivation that makes you keep loving and keep giving
- 34:24Speaker 1: when people have misused you and abused.
- 34:27Speaker 2: You and don't appreciate you.
- 34:29Speaker 3: There has to be something down in your guts.
- 34:32Speaker 6: It cannot be money. It cannot be low self estent.
- 34:35Speaker 6: It cannot be somebody looking for recognition. It cannot be politics,
- 34:39Speaker 6: it cannot be position. There has to be something down
- 34:42Speaker 6: inside of you. Every time you see somebody stagger to
- 34:45Speaker 6: an author, that makes you relate to their pain, because
- 34:48Speaker 6: if you don't care about them, you'll never be able
- 34:51Speaker 6: to help them.
- 34:52Speaker 5: And every now.
- 34:53Speaker 2: In there, God, we'll let you go through something.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I don't tell how high you are, how much money
- 35:01Speaker 1: you got, how well your brief, how many people are
- 35:03Speaker 1: in your child now and then God for drive a
- 35:12Speaker 1: nail somewhere in your life so that you can be
- 35:17Speaker 1: touched by the feeling of.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Somebody else's infirmity.
- 35:25Speaker 1: I said, the Holy Spirit saying, worship lip, your hands,
- 35:27Speaker 1: begin to wash them all over the house. Just begin
- 35:31Speaker 1: to washp him. Somebody's wash up being with a nail
- 35:35Speaker 1: in him right now. Somebody's washing being with a spear
- 35:39Speaker 1: in their side right now. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 35:44Speaker 1: yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes, yes.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yes yes yes something. You can't even talk to nobody
- 35:53Speaker 2: about him.
- 35:54Speaker 1: You can't admit it to all your friends, the folk
- 35:56Speaker 1: around you.
- 35:56Speaker 2: They know even that it is as bad than it is.
- 36:01Speaker 1: In a horse shandery Ika, God, we glorify.
- 36:06Speaker 2: You like Joe though he slays me.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Yet shall I trust him? I'm hurting, but I'm trusting.
- 36:18Speaker 1: I'm bleeding, but I'm trusting you.
- 36:22Speaker 2: If I got to.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Hang out here for a long time.
- 36:26Speaker 2: I knowing there the result, You're going to raise me
- 36:31Speaker 2: up the.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Game shand who about those shandry after comedy up for
- 36:39Speaker 1: me and shandy horse Shadaha, God saying trust me, you
- 36:48Speaker 1: might not understand me, but trust me, You're going through changes,
- 36:51Speaker 1: But trust me, thinking up like you thought they ought
- 36:54Speaker 1: to flow. But trust me, somebody you trusted him broke
- 36:57Speaker 1: your heart. But God said, trust me. You don't know
- 37:00Speaker 1: who to pump to. You can't tell your friends from
- 37:03Speaker 1: your enemies. But God's at me. You're going to a
- 37:06Speaker 1: shaking and breaking, But God said, trust me, you're gonna
- 37:11Speaker 1: see the glory in the cross before it's over. You're
- 37:16Speaker 1: gonna see why you had to go through what you're
- 37:19Speaker 1: going through it where you are. You're gonna see why
- 37:23Speaker 1: you had to be treated like you were treated. You're
- 37:26Speaker 1: gonna see why you had to go this route while
- 37:29Speaker 1: you had to be and stretched wide to come over
- 37:32Speaker 1: and bleed in front of folks that you didn't know whether.
- 37:35Speaker 2: They cared about you or not.
- 37:36Speaker 1: You're gonna see why Jesus couldn't say it I mumbling.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Why you're gonna see.
- 37:40Speaker 1: What I had to hold your peace and swallow your
- 37:43Speaker 1: pain and keep on preaching while you're.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Tying on the cross.
- 37:47Speaker 1: You're gonna see it why you have to keep help
- 37:50Speaker 1: people while you would on the inside. I believe that
- 38:02Speaker 1: for every pain there ought to be a power. I
- 38:08Speaker 1: believe that I believe for every suffering there to be
- 38:13Speaker 1: a resurrection.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Please.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I believe that when you get through through what you've
- 38:19Speaker 1: got to go through, that God is going to cause
- 38:23Speaker 1: come out of the secret closet with the power that
- 38:27Speaker 1: you never had before. I believe that a lot of
- 38:31Speaker 1: day is going to be greater than your former day.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I believe that God's gonna bring you to a place
- 38:37Speaker 1: of importation. Now you've already been through isolation, but when
- 38:42Speaker 1: this is all, you're gonna move in the importation, you
- 38:45Speaker 1: gonna be a walking a road and breathe on people
- 38:50Speaker 1: and make a difference in their lives.
- 38:52Speaker 2: You're gonna be able.
- 38:53Speaker 1: And reads out let's end and life around where it's old.
- 39:02Speaker 1: You'll be able to impart life out of your pain.
- 39:09Speaker 1: You can't breathe on anybody till you till they sing
- 39:16Speaker 1: your wounds and you. People are gonna be moved, They're
- 39:24Speaker 1: gonna be touched, They're going to be God has predestined
- 39:30Speaker 1: to raise up a generation a warriors who are able
- 39:34Speaker 1: to breathe on wounded souls and imparted life. God has
- 39:41Speaker 1: predestined that you ought to make a difference in your community,
- 39:46Speaker 1: in your city, in your family, on your God has
- 39:50Speaker 1: predestined in spite of your personal pain, and God's gonna
- 39:55Speaker 1: use you. And when you breathe on the mind, you're
- 39:58Speaker 1: gonna sna get delivered up somebody getting ready forgot to use,
- 40:03Speaker 1: getting ready for good to us, get rid. Oh, you
- 40:06Speaker 1: don't sound like you're really expecting nothing, getting ready forgot
- 40:08Speaker 1: to you shack, get ready forgot to Husha, Get ready
- 40:12Speaker 1: forgot to usha, Get.

- 40:14Speaker 1: If you've been going through all kind of if you've
- 40:16Speaker 1: been bleeding and cut up and hacked up and sawed
- 40:19Speaker 1: and left playing for dead, getting ready forgot to USA.
- 40:23Speaker 1: If you've been crying behind closed doors, growing in inside
- 40:26Speaker 1: of yourselfer.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Feel like giving up to forgot to USIA.
- 40:30Speaker 1: If you've been long and disturbing and going through hard,
- 40:33Speaker 1: you're on the right road.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Gett ready got to USA. You don't know who to
- 40:38Speaker 3: talk to?
- 40:38Speaker 2: M try You're right, get ready to get ready to
- 40:41Speaker 2: get ready to get ready.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Shake hand with three foot Tell
- 40:55Speaker 1: him something good is gonna come out of this. Hallelu
- 41:00Speaker 1: got something good has come out of me, Something good
- 41:03Speaker 1: is gonna you got tears right now, that's good. It's
- 41:06Speaker 1: gonna come out of it. You've been a think into
- 41:08Speaker 1: your own, but something good is going to come. You
- 41:11Speaker 1: don't know who to talked too much. Something good, He's
- 41:13Speaker 1: going to come out of it. You've been built that scorn,
- 41:16Speaker 1: but getting ready for the good it's coming out of him.
- 41:18Speaker 7: Show Honeyluljah, Yah honey, Olia, Honeylujah, Honey, honey, Jah Honeylia honey, Iliah.
- 41:37Speaker 2: The dumb I don't even know what.
- 41:38Speaker 1: You mean for honey, Oliah honey heah, oh yeah yeh
- 41:54Speaker 1: jeoll jeem no.
- 42:02Speaker 8: Oh no. Listen here.
- 42:36Speaker 1: My ministry, it's primarily two hurting people, and I have
- 42:45Speaker 1: job security because there are a lot of hurting people
- 42:50Speaker 1: in the church. We get saved, we go to work,
- 42:55Speaker 1: we hold positions, we build ministries, we do works. Outside
- 43:02Speaker 1: we do fine, but behind closed doors, nobody really knows.
- 43:12Speaker 2: What's going on.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I know you've heard some powerful messages. The line up
- 43:17Speaker 1: you had here has been incredible. I don't even have
- 43:20Speaker 1: to have been here to know what happened in this place.
- 43:24Speaker 1: But my my function, my purpose in being here is
- 43:30Speaker 1: to bring hurting people to a place of healing. There
- 43:35Speaker 1: are some pastors and some leaders when you when you
- 43:38Speaker 1: get back home, you gonna have to be the prayer
- 43:41Speaker 1: and not the pray.
- 43:42Speaker 7: Ye.
- 43:43Speaker 1: You gonna have to always have a word for everybody,
- 43:47Speaker 1: people who don't have a word for you. There's some laymen,
- 43:50Speaker 1: some people in leadership who are just known to encourage
- 43:53Speaker 1: other people. But down on the inside you discouraged and
- 43:57Speaker 1: you need some courage yourself. And the Lord sent me
- 44:01Speaker 1: here to just agree with you for healing in your
- 44:09Speaker 1: hurting places, that your wounds would not give you so
- 44:14Speaker 1: much pain that you become distracted from your purpose. If
- 44:20Speaker 1: it's all right, for just a moment, I would like
- 44:23Speaker 1: to call the hurting people. I don't care who you are,
- 44:30Speaker 1: or how many members you got, or what you drive
- 44:33Speaker 1: or where you live, cause none of that stops pain.
- 44:38Speaker 1: I would like to call those people to just gather
- 44:43Speaker 1: around the altar for a moment. I just wanna pray
- 44:47Speaker 1: with you. There's something God wants to do in your life, Preacher, Teacher,
- 44:54Speaker 1: deg it, elder missionary. It's something God sends you here
- 45:02Speaker 1: to get for you, not just for your church, not
- 45:05Speaker 1: just for your ministry, not just technique, not just church growth.
- 45:09Speaker 1: There's something God wants to do for you. Somebody's in
- 45:13Speaker 1: a battle right now and you're wounded and you're bleeding.
- 45:17Speaker 1: Head of a Horseshod, we're celebrating, but you can't really
- 45:22Speaker 1: celebrate because your wounds have distracted you. But God wants
- 45:27Speaker 1: to do something for you today. Come on, don't worry
- 45:33Speaker 1: about what nobody thinks. You didn't come here to worry
- 45:37Speaker 1: about people, and there's something he wants to do. Jeez,
- 45:56Speaker 1: come on, come on, thank you Jesus, call him, call him.
- 46:03Speaker 2: You're gonna see a change in the day of the head.
- 46:07Speaker 1: God wants to hear you while you're here. He wanted
- 46:12Speaker 1: you to be here.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Tonight. Tonight is your night. This is just for you.
- 46:17Speaker 1: This is just for your wounds, This is just for
- 46:19Speaker 1: your broken places, This is just for what has your
- 46:23Speaker 1: closes behind doors. Come on, come on, come on, just
- 46:27Speaker 1: begin to worship him. We're waiting in his presence. We're
- 46:31Speaker 1: waving our needs before him.
- 46:35Speaker 8: Thank you, Jesus, thank you, Jesus.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Honey, thank you Lord, yea jelay, Oh, thank you Lord. Yeah.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Lift your hands up right where you are.
- 47:11Speaker 1: God had to take you this way, He had to
- 47:16Speaker 1: break you because he's getting ready to bless you like
- 47:20Speaker 1: you've never been blessed before. Out of your own woundings,
- 47:24Speaker 1: you're gonna touch people you could have never reached before.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Out of your own pain, you're gonna get the fortitude
- 47:32Speaker 1: and the tenacity to keep on reaching, reaching, reaching. Every
- 47:36Speaker 1: time you reach out to help somebody, you're gonna see you.
- 47:39Speaker 1: You're gonna be patient with folk that everybody else don't
- 47:41Speaker 1: want to be bothered with, because you're.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Gonna relate to that. To limma, God wants to use halleluija.
- 47:49Speaker 1: Lift those hands up and just open your mouth and
- 47:51Speaker 1: begin to worship it. In spite of your own pain.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Just open your mouth and begin to worship me. Come on,
